If you havent been here yet, definitely check it out. Friendly staff and incredible food! I had the beer battered shrimp. Its the fresh, good beer batter. Spring mix salad instead of iceberg lettuce. My fiancee had the the Jack chicken sandwich and he was equally satisfied!
What a great little spot with great food we got the poutine balboa and some wings it was amazing. I randomly searched wings near me and this place popped up glad it did cause we will surely be back. The bartender here has outstanding customer service for a busy bar at 10pm on a Friday!
Unfortunately disappointing food. Waited 40 minutes for a burger and a sandwich at 2 in the afternoon. We knew they were short staffed, with signs all over, so we expected to wait but the food was a huge let down. My curly fries appeared cooked but were soft, undercooked, and lacked any flavor. The jacked chicken sandwich looked like it would have lots of flavor with onions, peppers, and mushrooms but there was no flavor and no sauce, so it was dry. My husband’s food had similar issues of just no flavor and subpar quality. Needless to say I didn’t eat the food on a plate past a couple bites and we unfortunately won’t come back.
Went here on Super Bowl Sunday. Take out orders were insane yet i sat down and got my drink so fast and the bartender was so professional and relaxed about it even though I could tell she had a million things going on. Nice crowd. Great serviceGreat place to chill and amazing food this is coming from a long time local. Always appreciative of the service and warm company here
0/10. I walked in and the rude host barely greeted me and the first thing she said was the wait for food is 2 hours. I said no problem as I thought I would sit and wait with a drink, I was told that because I recently turned 21 and my ID was vertical rather than horizontal it was invalid, which is understandable but there was no accommodation just a rude waitress and and even more rude manager. I tried to explain how I have to wait for my road test for a new ID and even had picture of my passport but there was no accommodation not even a simple “I’m sorry is there anything else I can do as you wait for your food for 2 hours?” Keep in mind I am the only person of color in the bar. No one else is being spoken to with such disregard. TERRIBLE customer service, no organization and extremely long wait time. Only three people working and the “manager” was also head chef apparently. No customer should experience anything like this cause a suburban manager does not know how to properly run a business. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
A neighborhood gem dating back to 1929! Sam and staff were very welcoming as we visited for the first time. The menu is varied and our selection was delicious and the portion generous. The bar area appeared to be original, and when not talking to the locals we were entertained by multiple televisions. There is ample parking in a lot behind Barbers Grill, as well as on street parking. I highly recommend Barbers Grill & Tap Room.
This is our third time ordering late night food. Every experience has been amazing! All employees are very kind, and the Italian Balboa is delicious. Definitely worth a try! It is on our 45 + minute drive home and I can not be more grateful for the easy experience I receive. Sometimes after cooking for 12 + hours you just want good service and this is what I love about this place.
The beer selection here was what really sold me on this place. I didnt count how many taps there were, but definitely more than you could try in one day. The sandwiches were really good also. There are quite a few TVs, its small, but seems like a great place for a small group that likes good beer to catch a game.
We stopped in for a early evening bite. Betwen the 4 of us ordered various burgers and their signature sandwich The Balbo. Everything was excellent. Good selection of things on tap. They attract a pretty good college crowd as it gets later in the night. 4 stars is because... Seating is a little limited.
There was 2 other small groups of people and it took over an hour for us to get our food, nothing hard. The server never checked on us. Noone informed us it would take so long and there wasnt an apology for the wait. Wont go there anymore. Our drinks where also gross and it was just soda.
This place is just gross, the customers are obnoxious and the staff is very rude. I wish I could review their food but I didn’t want to eat and left after the waitress caught an attitude with me. If you go here don’t touch the walls or the tables EVEYRYTHING has this sticky, slimy feel to it. The best way to explain it is almost like aged deep fryer grease that’s placed a nice film over tables and walls. I’m sure this place can be good but I don’t even know how they’re still open and able to serve food to be honest. The place hasn’t been cleaned in years. If you want to avoid contracting a communicable disease or get a staph infection don’t come here.
Very family friendly atmosphere. The food is great and the employees really make Barbers feel like home. Im proud that they employ an openly homosexual bartender named Jason. His sexuality puts everybody in a good mood and this progressive attitude is nice to see in such a small town.
Walked in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Sat at a table and looked through the menu. Decided what we wanted and then waited for some acknowledgement of our presence. It was not busy. After ten minutes without so much as a hello from any of the three people behind the bar we got up and left and ate at the Stoneyard where we were greeted the moment we walked in the door and had a delicious lunch.
Came to get their famous Balboa, a grilled steak sub with peppers, onion, mushrooms, ez-cheese and the staple of Monroe county bar fair... Meat hot sauce. This is a really good sandwich. The prices are low the drinks are especially cheap. The bar itself is a little run down (college dive bar).
If Im torn between a sandwich and full meal Barbers is where I go - because a sandwich IS a meal, and I generally get 1/2 a sandwich! Their specialty is the Balboa and you cant go wrong on any of the dozen+ varieties. I also enjoy craft beer, and their 36 taps cover the spectrum of types and tastes. If you go, check out the grill - they can turn out a whole bunch of meals at a time using about a 16x18 grill!
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. the bartender was MORE concerned about finding something on the tv . ordered a regular sized well drink, I couldnt even taste any vodka in it..service was terrible, I doubt Ill be back..$4.50 for a glass of pop with a splash of vodka

2022-07-03Used to be a really great place and looked forward to visiting when I came to Brockport. This time, it took me 20 minutes to order and another 20 minutes until the server came to my table to tell me the cook walked out and there was no food. Owner had declared the kitchen closed. When I complained, owner told me cook had rotavirus.Wow, that’s good to know. If you’re sick, why were you coming to work to begin with?

2022-06-24I didn’t go to barbers this time but it tagged me that I did. I have gone before and it’s nice. Small but booths and stools for sitting. Music, happy people, good servers.

2022-06-27We have been here a few times. The service is great, the food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the outdoor space nice when the weather finally is nice.

2022-02-06Their fried pickles are really good. However, going back the second time because we really liked the way they did fried pickles, was really disappointing. The portion was meager and barely covered the bottom of the basket. The portion was nothing compared to what it was the previous time.
