Barnes & Noble in other cities:
I love to read books, and this is my favorite place to buy and read them, they even have their own cafe! It’s always quiet and the staff members are always nice and helpful! You can always go back and return your books, but you have to have your receipt and the books have to be in selling condition and you have to bring them back in 30 days!
It is a great place to get books. If you like to read physical books still its very nice to just go in and browse. Their childrens section in particular seems set up to get kids to read and my toddler enjoys going in there with its bright colors and mix of book related toys to go along with the display of the books themselves makes him more excited to, at this stage get read to.
This place needs new management as its a complete mess. They have no employees and the ones that work there are mental.I witnessed one start throwing all the baked goods out the display case today on to the line area with customers. He still works there. That should tell you everything.
Near a bus stop very convenient for those who travel by bus. Really big location, always clean and quiet. Vast collection from textbooks, to fantasy novels to mangas. Staff is very helpful. A bit pricey but they have great deals sometimes, and the books are worth the cost.
Great selection of books and can never go wrong with their discount section. The book store employees are always friendly and willing to help. Cafe is another story. Not all the employees know how to make drinks correctly. I got an iced tea today and the older man had no idea how to make it and It was Mostly water. Go just for the books!
If course great selection of books and magazines and gifts and cards. Plus the coffee shop is pretty good too. Its really easy to do from Sunrise hwy or Manor Rd right next to Lowes. Parking is great, Free, handicap accessibility, with handicap♿ entrance too. Was able to get my son the book he wanted as well as find a nice card too. Its really nice having a REAL BOOKSTORE that you can see, touch, and feel the books rather than just online. Sitting at the coffee shop table to look through it to see if its really what you want is relaxing and A MUCH OVERLOOKED advantage to online shopping. Plus you see nice people too 😁👍
The gentleman cashier was very kind and helpful. I was there to purchase a guess book for my brothers funeral. The ones I found were in the range of $22-$29, I brought the one I like to the register and he informed me that there were similar ones in the clearance area, well was a relief to an already tight funeral budget. I will do more shopping there in the future. Even if its just to visit there lovely coffee shoppe
All Barnes & Noble stores I have been in from East to West coast are the same. They all have a nice Cafe and large selection of books, magazines, cute kids seating and book area, games, gifts and music. All stores are in busy locations and have lots of parking. They also are well lit and have a help desk to direct you if you have questions or need to order something. I love their large selection of puzzles, too. Love these stores!
Ive been a daily customer for many years- Great bookstore but they just hired a cafe manager who was very rude - I started getting my lattes else where ! However, I found out she left (I wish her well!). And I am so happy to visit one of my favorite places again- great customer service, knowledgeable and friendly employees, and the cafe is a great 👍 place to visit -
Barnes & Noble is one of my favorite stores to browse when I have some free time. They always have some pretty cool stuff, and they have clearance tables, which are my weakness. This one, like the others, is great. Chill atmosphere, good prices and selection. I can definitely see myself coming in again.
Just enjoy coming here to check out the books. There are other items here as well such as cards, bookmarks, magazines and more. Great section for the children: books & games. There is a cafe on the premises. They serve coffee, tea, desserts, soup, food items, etc. Eat in or take out. Enjoyable experience. Come with a friend.Free wifi. Restrooms.
They have a decent selection of books. However, I looked up the same exact books on Amazon, and a 15.00 book at Barnes & Noble was 8.00 on Amazon. If youre a prime member, I wouldnt even think about purchasing from Barnes. I could have saved a total of 12.00 had I gone through Amazon first.
Like most blood the noble that has all the books will you ever want or ever need come the cafe is good have a nice cup of coffee your latte while you reading or browsing for a book very relax , this particular 1/2 the have some of the nicest staff that I have ever account that didnt belong to no book very helpful very friendly and not overbearing like some places that I have gone to where they follow you around and see what else can I get you . So few in the area stop by this one and youll see a big difference very nice experience every time I go there
I think barnes and nobles is an amazing place to go. It is amazing because the people who work there are very helpful and will answer any question you have. Barnes and nobles does not only have books but they also have great toys you can get. From an 11 year old shopper.
The Bay Shore B&N itself is tremendous, clean and fun to browse, but I had a highly negative experience over the phone. I called the store to see if they had a new bestseller in stock. The staff member I spoke with could not find a copy, but offered to check their system to see if any nearby locations had the book. I was then placed on hold for about 1-2 minutes, after which a different person picked up and asked how they could assist me. When I explained the situation, the woman ~literally~ scoffed and said, All of my cashiers are too busy to help you with that. Try calling yourself. So again, I explained that the previous person I had spoken to was in the process of checking their system, and again, the woman (presumably a manager by her use of my cashiers) was extremely rude. She reiterated, Well, shes too busy now to help you. Youll have to call yourself. I couldnt believe how disrespectful she was. Obviously the holidays are stressful when you work in retail, but jeez!
Its a book store. Finding someone to help is always tricky and they didnt have what I was looking for in stock. I feel the only benefit to going to a physical book store these days is to enjoy the book you just purchased in the cafe while you have a scone and a latte.
Its aight, great selection of books from many different genres. There is a Starbucks inside which is a nice bonus. There also collectables such as Funko Pop figures and other objects of that same nature. Its a very cool place for anyone looking to purchase a good book or if you want to go to a Starbucks but none are around :)
Although Im mostly reading eBooks, this is my go-to spot for when I need to get a physical copy of a book. Theres a huge selection of books here so Im pretty sure youll be able to find what youre looking for. Seating is available throughout the store so you can cozy up with a book to read. A colorful section of the store is for the childrens books where theyre free to lounge around as well. Apart from books, they have music, a huge selection of magazines, & their Nook tablets for sale.Theres a Starbucks inside the store as well with more pastries & drinks than the regular stores. I highly recommend the chocolate-banana smoothie.
I am a frequent shopper at the Bayshore Barnes & Noble store. The employees are the most congenial and helpful at this B&N. Mike and Mandy have always been the most helpful for all of my purchases. I absolutely love going there because the two of them know exactly what Im looking for and have always made my experience at B&N a most enjoyable one. They are truly an asset to Barnes & Noble. Thank you Mike and Mandy!!!!!!!!☆☆☆☆☆
The booksellers always seem to be ready to help me find the publication I am seeking. There are sitting areas to read or study, the wi-fi is usually operating solidly. The children book spot is enchanting, spacious, and welcoming. Also, I obtain considerable assistance from the staff in using my Nook-Samsung tablet. I wish one of my books may be on sale here in the future.
They have a section where you can go and sit and study or eat and also a shop inside where you can buy something to eat or drink i believe its starbucks. Amazing store in the back theres a kids section sometimes they do events for kids to come and sit and listen to a person read a book to them . awesome !
Popped in today because its close to home. I dont know if they had to widen the aisles or something due to covid either, but they were slacking on product. I usually tend togo to Massapequa Barnes & Noble even before covid because Bay Shore hasnt been that great and has a bigger selection then Bay Shore.
Just walking around this local bookstore brings back great memories for me. I grew up in the 90s where book fairs and monthly scholastic newsletter was a big deal for me.Books were treasures at the time, you had to wait weeks for the to come to the school and when you had the time to read it. I had my childhood li rary collection which was recently tossed because of...Well... Because of life in general, you gotta live the moment. I know Barnes and Noble competes with Amazon but I really cant compare the feeling of walking out with a freshly printed hardcover either for myself or my kids or the feeling of having an entire Kindle library at your disposal! You cant beat that Starbucks books and beans situation where sit down and have a few minutes for yourself, with friends, or even your significant other. Its storytime every night in our home! Best of both worlds.
Liked this B&NStarbucks Restaurant located inside.Purchased 2 books from here. Many selections. Was watching a very Loud conversation inside the Starbucks restaurant, two men was speaking about the Word of GOD.I didnt include myself in the conversation and left because it was really an rainy day as I sat in my vehicle the one of the Man thatwas talking about GOD and the HOLY Bible tap on my window wanting to talk about GOD and mentioned my bumper stickers on my car that shows respect yo belief in JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth.I spoke briefly with Him and shared my views and belief In JESUS afterwards He left the parking Lot claiming he needed to see after his daughter lolHe thought he was going to change my outlook on JESUS! nopeVery interesting adventure👍

There are other selections as well from sandwiches to pastries...—there’s a lot of book selections from any genres.—lots of parking spaces.—all the staff are very Helpful and polite - especially when I was about to be ring up and my daughter had asked for a pin (she collects pins) And she patiently walked and showed my daughter all their pin selections.

2022-01-23Good selection for the size, friendly and helpful staff, only thing taking away a star was that for some reason this is the only store that doesnt sell Pokemon cards. Which is what I went in for giving that other ones do.

2022-01-29I still love bookstores. Would have been more impressed if the religious books were in the fiction section where they belong.

2021-12-27I would give this store 0 stars, but I cant so I give it 1! I went to the Barnes and noble cafe to get some Starbucks with my cousins and we were in line and the women said “If you have gift cards, we won’t take them.” So we all stood there in shock saying that we only had gift cards. We went to leave and my one cousin stayed back and looked at a lil naz x magazine and heard that lady laugh to her coworkers and say” Haha that was my favorite order all night, silly little kids!”

2021-07-24This store was amazing! Friendly and helpful staff, amazing variety and selection of books, enjoyable browsing experience. For this to be one of the few brick & mortar book stores left, this store doesnt seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Wonderful overall. Will certainly return again and often.
