Bass Pro Shops in other cities:
We spent 3 hrs. There just playing with the Santa wonder land we shot toy ducks with you guns and bows. Played with an RC truck we play in the ball pit and watch the fish in the tank and the scuba guy was there ny brother is autistic and the employees under stood and helped us every way they could. I am really impressed with the employees.
Bought brand new boots for my son to go hunting on NY. We live in SC Myrtle BeachAs soon as he tied them both boot lace eyelets popped right off.My hunting boots that I bought a few years ago that i only used once the bottom of the treads feel off and the main part was coming off. I’ll add those pictures later. My hunting coat I only used once the zipper at bottom was no good.I’ve been shopping for years at bass pro shop. Never again for boots or clothes.
Definitely a great place to take the kids during the holidays. They usually have crafts, games and of course Santa Claus. Free picture of the kids with Santa, shopping for the whole family. Great selection of clothes, sporting gear and all types of accessories. The decorations are beautiful! Loved the balloon Santa and reindeer at the main entrance. Definitely recommended
Dead fish in the big tank looked like they had been dead in there a while no wonder there are no fish in there !! Cant leave dead largemouth bass sitting in there for weeks will kill all the other fish in the tank !! Also I told a worker and he said I know he just didnt care it seemed !! Otherwise wasnt bad !!
I spoke to Rebecca today and she was wonderful to deal with. She assisted me with getting my children signed up to make sure they could visit Santa. She went above and beyond and made it very easy. Thank you Rebecca for making sure my children would be able to see Santa.
Its an outdoor toy store for adults. They sell clothes, outdoor wear, shoes, hunting, archery fishing & trapping supplies. Have a visit with Santa experience right now. Large aquarium with local species of fish, plenty of mounted animals thru out the store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
I came into the store to do my shopping while my girlfriend was working there and the store wasnt busy at all so I went up to her and asked her a question and we had a short conversation and during it one of the managers came up to her and I and said, You have to leave she is working in a rude tone and not really all too polite.. and to remind you I was just a customer!Apparently he doesnt realize some of the first things working in customer service!!!He could have said it in a much nicer way and tone..So instead of doing my shopping and buying what I was going to do I put the things down and left the store, I have never been talked to rudely by any management of any place ever, management should never talk to a customer rudely!I worked retail for almost 4 years at a gas station and no matter how unruly the customer was I never was rude to themthe customers are what keep your place afloat and 1 unhappy customer could ruin the buisness
They have a really great selection of outdoor fishing hunting cooking and camping equipment also they have clothing and footwear. I really like seeing the big fish tank with all the different species of fish in it. They have a great service department I bought an ATV there several years ago and they really went out of their way to accommodate me. Its worth a visit.
I tried to buy a rifle here and accidentally made a mistake on the 4473 form. Entirely my fault, I must have miss clicked on one of the answers. However, the person behind the counter said he couldnt see what question I made a mistake on which is entirely not true. They should have been able to tell what question I got wrong. Then he said I had to get it cleared to come back and buy a gun from this store. Which again is entirely not true. If you make a mistake on the 4473 form you have to wait 24 hours then you can try again. Not sure what he meant by getting it cleared but all you have to do is wait 24 hours. Not sure if he was genuinely uneducated or just didnt want to sell a gun to me but very terrible service either way.
This one older lady at customer service was so rude for no reason. Extremely disrespectful and shouldn’t be working with customers. All I wanted was my order not to be criticized. This is the closest bass pro to where I live so driving an hour and dealing with such a nasty women was very disappointing experience.Ripped my phone out of my hand and put her dirty little fingers on it in a pandemic!!!! Basically talked and treated me like a child. I have never been so appalled.
First time visiting a Bass Pro Shops store. Awesome experience. Great selection for the outdoor sportspeople. Found the Bass Pro Shops Prolite Elite baitcast combo. Sign on rack said $49.97. But the sale price had ended but they forgot to remove the sale sign. The regular price is $69.95, but they sold it to me for the sale price anyway. Any other store wouldnt have done that.
Absolutely the worst place to go over I would never come here ever again the way they treated little kids during Christmas with the Santa was absolutely uncalled for she was super grumpy and should never be allowed back in the store talk about having Christmas spirit when they completely ruined the spirit from both my hands she was super grumpy and should never be allowed back here he was the worst santa Ive ever seen in my entire life
The store is plenty big to allow for social distancing. All staff are wearing masks, and they have plastic guards up at the registers.Great selection as always, I got some REALLY cute sweaters, restocked on some rustic cooking supplies, and invested in new fishing and bow hunting gear.My only disappointment is the incredibly poor ammunition selection. I know there are state restrictions but the store only had, like, 10 boxes of ammo total.
Very poor customer service. Staff needs retraining.Tried calling for 2 days! No one answers. After 20+ tries I finally got someone to answer. I told them what i was looking for. They said they had it. I drove an hour to get there to be told sorry we are outI go to the front end to purchase a fishing license. There are 3 cashiers chatting.. No one on line. They tell me to go to the service area. I stand in line and waitWoman ahead of me is buying candy and a soda. 2 cashiers were having a problem with her order. I waited and waited and waited. This is ridiculous. 5 cashiers in the front and not 1 can help me.Left to go get my license somewhere else.
Great bird feeders! Great deal on bird seed. Casher complained about her back hurting and wanted to go home, I found that kinda unprofessional. Also same casher threw my bird feeder down aggressively on the counter and my family made me make sure it wasnt broken before we left. 🙃🤪
There were a couple of staff members in th store that stood out with being helpful, especially the woman at the desk for getting a bass pro shop credit card. She was definitely the correct person to be there, awesome personality, very bubbly and happy to help people! Store is always neat and great variety of things to look at. A bit pricey for me, but that is just me. Lots of people there buying! Great displays, could be in the store for a couple hours just looking around.
Its okay. Not the Bass Pro I originally grew up with. Im not even sure why they dont just give up with their firearms department. Very limited selection. Other inventory like trapping supplies and ammunition were completely empty. I stopped for a couple of medium Conibear traps and they were empty. Found these at another competitive store chain. I gave them a 3 star rating but really felt like a 2.5 star.
Lots of neat stuff to look at.Prices are reasonable and if you are into outdoor sports, this is the place to go.Most staff is excellent and helpful.Only complaint being that the majority of the staff in the hunting section are either aloof or just downright rude. You definitely get the feeling that you are putting them out by asking a question... it is often met with a response of I dont know or the man, who I believe manages the section is just short and acts too busy to be bothered. Sometimes the answers he gives are downright curt.
You can get lost in the vast array of outdoor products, I know I did .if you have ANY outdoor or sporting needs and dont visit here you my friend will be making a big mistake. The quality of products is awesome the staff is phenomenal and the architecture of the fish tank display is a beautiful thing to behold.Went in to look at crossbows and left with so much more.A+ to bass pro shops you have a customer for life!
Been going here for years. I will say the staff arent as friendly as years past but to be fair we are in quite the times with covid and what not. Their stock of actual hunting clothes has suffered recently as well. No real variety either. I still enjoy going but thats mostly because its close to home. Would get 5 if they actually focused on hunting apparel and products, instead of worrying about the next big coffee or having 15 different slippers on the shelves
I called 4-5 times before driving 45 minutes to the store to ask about a specific ammunition. I understand the ammo shortage situation. I was finally told a certain day of the week that deliveries come and that was my best chance. So I drove 45 minutes to be told that they havent carried this particular ammunition in a while. I definitely called at least 4 times but honestly it was probably more knowing me. Waste of my time. Nobody could look on a computer to check inventory and simply answer my question correctly in all of my phone calls?
This store doesnt protect its employees from customers. They let customers act aggressive with employees and intimidate them and then the managers when called just roll over and dont protect there own employees. I made sure to raise my voice as a customer over this and told the other customer that he is acting despicable.
The store is clean and well-lit. I was able to get quick service when purchasing a fishing license. When a rod I bought their broke in the course of regular use, soon after purchase, it was replaced quickly. The staff assigned to the lures and bait section was very knowledgeable.
Good selection, clean store, polite staff.Theres a giant aquarium in the store, and I love watching the fish. Theres a good selection of them, including an awesome Gar.Plenty of free parking right outside of the store. The cashier was very patient, sociable, and friendly.I love this location. :)
I love this store. If you like to shop for outdoors stuff this is the premier place to go. I like to see and touch these products before I buy. You really cant tell from a picture and description on your phone or computer if your going to truly enjoy that fishing rod or if that jacket is going to fit just right. They offer only top line products here. When I want a specific fishing or hunting item this is my go to place. And ask the staff they really do know what they have and how to locate what your looking for. Plus its just a cool place to go. They have a fish tank with the fattest trout youve ever seen lol.
Went into bass pro for a specific item, bait castor reels. Shorty after entering this beautiful store we were greeted by a sales person asking how we were and if there was anything they could help with. At that point we just wanted to look around and shop other things than what we went in for so, we said we were just browsing. They stated if we needed anything to please just ask. We spent about a half hour looking around then asked for some assistance. They were exceptional in their knowledge of the store. Went right to where we needed to be. Saw all the options for the bait castor reels and they explained the differences, awesome. Spent another hour or so looking thru the rest of the store which is massive. Clean, organized and quantity, very impressive. Pricing is very competitive to other big box stores. They are the experts and they prove it with their knowledge. And not to forget, the big fish tank in the middle of the store with a wide variety of local fish found in the local bodies of water. If nothing else takes you to the store, the fish tank is well worth your time to go see. Very highly recommended.
I avoided shopping here for a long time because I thought the prices would be out of wack. But surprisingly they are competitive and their store brand fishing items are a good deal. And its a fun store to walk around in. Also considering how long our store has been around, it seems clean and fresh, not all worn down. That means a lot to me.
Kids love coming here. Bass Pro Shops has all your basic camping, hunting and fishing needs. Has a nice big aquarium that my kids love to look at. Somewhat understaffed. Had a hard time finding someone to answer some questions about sleeping bags but was very helpful when I did find them. Overall good place to shop.
So in 2016 I had my winterizing done on my 7.4 mpi Mercruiser because they are an “Elite Mercruiser” service facility.Winterizing was screwed up and ruined my engine. Was replaced with a Jasper reman and after seasons of poor performance a real mechanic discovered today that they put in the wrong spark plugs. Really!?
Its a sporting superstore thats based in a sporting area. It is big and stocked with sporting equipment from fishing to hunting. Didnt need assistance and the lines moved fairly quick. I would recommend to someone who knows their needs until I experience a visit where help is needed in which case I will update this review.
This is your one stop for hunting, fishing, camping, and boating supplies! Its a great place to stop and visit just to look around. I spent over 45 minutes in there and didnt buy a single thing but had a great time! Be sure to call ahead and check out when they have lived fishing demonstrations its always very entertaining!
Worst sales experience of my life. I called on may 27th to inquire about a boat purchase, I was informed that they just had a cancelation on a purchase and that if I put a deposit down on the boat that it would be saved for me, so I put a deposit down. The next step was to wait and hear back from the finance company. Received approval on June 1st, was told all paperwork would be sent back to bass pro. Sent an email to my salesman on June 10th to check on status, no response so I decided to call on June 12th, I was informed by a different sales associate, due to covid 19 that they were running behind and that the paperwork process would be 2 weeks. Finally received a phone call July 13th, from a different sales associate to see if anyone had followed up. I informed her that I had not and she apologized and informed me that she would get right on it, I informed her that I would have think about whether I still wanted to make the purchase, considering the whole experience had been unacceptable. I called back on July 14th to ask if I do go ahead with the purchase how long before I would receive the boat, I was informed it would be another 18 days. I informed them to keep it and refund my deposit, in which they agreed to. I have purchased many new items from dealerships and have never been treated like this. Absolutely unacceptable in every way, never offered an explanation, or possibly a discount, or even a hey we will try to get it done as soon as possible considering the circumstances . 66 days to purchase and receive a boat is unacceptable, apparently my purchase means nothing. This store and its sales associates need a class on customer service. I promise I will never step foot in this establishment again.
My husband spends a lot of money here lol. This is the only store that keeps that dead little mall alive. They should buy the building and just make it all one big Bass Pro. I always bring my kids here every year to Santa, they have the best Santa. My daughter likes looking at all the fish in the big tank Excellent store, very clean, knowledgeable staff.
Very dissatisfied with the manager, Patrick, at this location. We were simply following instructions by the DEC to have a lifetime hunting license printed in store and the manager treated us horribly. Patrick, the manager, refused to discuss anything with us. He would not even look us in the eye as if he was indignant to our situation. We placed a call to the DEC while he was in our presence, and he blatantly refused to even acknowledge that we had a DEC rep on the phone to clear this up. Patrick was very condescending, pretentious and dismissive as well as acting repugnant, in that moment we felt unwelcome, disdain, and dejected as if what we were trying to resolve was an outright waste of his time. During our interaction, Patrick raised his voice at us and talked over us as if he could care less about our concerns, eventually after an uncomfortable back and forth, Patrick did authorize our license print. We couldnt even continue shopping because we were so upset.
I brought my kids for their Halloween event. I had never been to Bass Pro before.... I will be back! I want like 50 clothing items ams ever Lodge cast Iron item in stock! The event was wonderful, Thanks Bass Pro! I love how the store is decorated and the fish...omg. The fish!!! Amazing
This a fun place to go for outdoor gear and clothing, with a huge fish tank in back for a close look at the ones that got away. Have most of what you need for fishing. Hunting and camping, with great sport clothes section, with good brands for men. Women and children.
We were very happy to see that Bass pro had several wheelchairs to borrow, located at the main entrance and the entrance to the mall. This kiddo broke two bone and is non weight bearing status. It was wonderful to get out of the house and spend time relaxing in front of the tank while the rest of the family shopped. We were approached several times to check that we’d been helped. One draw back is that the restroom doors are not automatic for anyone in a wheelchair. You’d have to ask someone to open them for you.
Drove 80 miles round trip to look at Henry long ranger lever action. This is different from other lever action rifles as the lever uses a gear to drive a bolt back to cycle the action. I never used a gun like that before. THEY WOULDNT LET ME TRY IT!!!! They would not remove the lock on the gun in the presence of 2 employees! How do you know if you will like that type of gun? Its not like if youre not happy you can return it!
Weve enjoyed the tradition of Santas workshop for over 10 years. Unfortunately Covid19 has hit that too. We had a nice chat with Santa thru his plexiglass wall and got a nice photo with 1/2 of our grandkids but we missed the games and crafts that due to the pandemic have been eliminated.
Drove over two hours to Bass Pro Shops in Auburn, NY. Had an appointment to look at various boats with a salesman by the name of Nicholas. I arrived early and Nick made himself available right away. We went over in details about four different model boats. I was able to narrow my search down to the Nitro ZV-19 with Nick’s insight. He was very helpful and spent close to two hours assisting me. I’m looking forward to hopefully buying a new boat in the near future.
Ive always like Bass Pro Shops as a quirky destination for the kids. The giant fish tank inside the store is a lovely curiosity and certainly serves well to introduce the casual visitor to the secrets of the deep -- even if the deep happens to be the waters of the Finger Lakes. Im likewise impressed with Bass Pros large selection and good prices. And of course the decor is intricate.
You cant beat basspro for outdoor supplies! Not only do they stock a wonderful selection of hunting and shooting equipment, they have great clothes and pretty much anything else you can think of. I know the mall has been a bit of a mess over the past few years, but I know I am very grateful we have basspro shops here. I hope that they continue to stay in Auburn because they are the best around!
Call them before u go there to make sure they have what u are looking for. Ice fishing section looked horrible. The size of the ice fishing section alone is ridiculous . Ice season is almost over but really. They got lots of camping and open water stuff. Waste of gas and time I should have called .
I love this place. I would replace most Sporting Goods stores that are closer to me and just have one of these in place of them. Crazy awesome selection of just about anything you need or want, especially for Waterfowl hunting (my favorite). Prices are pretty darn decent and the store itself is gorgeous and fun. And its only the 2nd smallest BassPro that they have, and the place is huge!
I was at the auburn store today to purchase a pistol. Yes I have a permit. The gentleman that waited on me was not a very nice person. I told him I was new to pistols and what were his recommendations, his reply was I just sell them I really don’t know anything them. His suggestion was to go shoot more guns before I purchased a gun. I went in there knowing what I wanted and left without a purchase because he actually talked me out of purchasing a pistol. Now I am discouraged and really don’t know if we will shop here anymore.
TERRIBLE sales associates on the check out counter. Went twice in 6 months thought it was a fluke. Nope they are terrible. Not familiar with sale prices, act like you are cheating them. Question you like a Gestapo Agent. MY brother did not believe me until our uncle went in 5 months later and had the same issue. I try to support Auburn when I am in town because the economy there can use it. Sorry Auburn not worth the hassle. I am just going in to look at the fish from now on.
I will never recommend this store to anyone. I am military, deploying soon. We went there to inquire on a shotgun for my wife. My wife ,kids and I hovered around the counter 20 minutes, we had 3 rifles picked out ... no attention or responses to hailing. ... another guy walked up... agent Looks up from register hands Homa a rifle... we walked out. Nothing like stereotyping a potential paying customer
I like this store, well staffed. I call it an outdoor sporting goods store on steroids. Unfortunately most of the stuff is made in China, but that seems to be the way it goes these days. My kids love the fish tank. Also, we like the free Santa during the Christmas season. Although I almost never buy anything, its fun to look around. I noticed that the Carhartt stuff is more expensive than other local stores, such as Tractor Supply.
Much of the prices are way too high. You can buy the same thing on many items in many other stores for much cheepier. That is why they are loosing business that they really need. They are really hurting themselves. Their store is huge clean - nice looking. They do have many of itoms for boating- hunting - fishing - picnics - sport cooking & sporting goods cloths. I Love to enjoy the huge fish & tank. Come on down if not for nothing more thain to Browse around. I really dont like being counted like cattle going in. Why? No other store does that.
Bass Pro is a great spot here in town for any thing outdoors. They recently merged with cabelas which is a little weird but working out great. This location is one of the smallest stores they have but they still manage to carry an amazing selection of items. Guns, ammo, bows, fishing, atv, even boats.
It was crazy and hectic. There was no sense of organization even with the bass pass. And all three of my boys questioned why they didnt get to tell santa what they wanted. I understand its free but lets keep the magic alive. We simply wont be going to the opening day of Santas arrival again. Also the free craft should be handed out not a free for all for the honest people that loose out when the greedy adults just take fist fulls.any other time this is where we tell everyone to go because the Santa is always awesome. He should however take two seconds and ask the children what they would like for Christmas regardless of how packed it is.
I wanted to say that the people down at archery like another person said were great we also bought a dimond bow and the service was fantastic!!!!!!!! went there twice this week of 11/25/12 on this wendsday and saterday also the selection is huge! and the christmas set up and santas wonderland and games was really fun and amazing i would reccomend this store to any people because it is so welcoming!!!!We received exxelent service from a man named greg especially and a younger kid who also worked in archery and hunting!
Hit or miss with the customer service. Youd think a place like this would want to go out of the way to offer help because you wouldnt be shopping there if you didnt have money. Never enough cashiers, long wait in line, etc. Ill pass on the opportunity to shop there in the future.
I ordered two per of the Ranger Muck Boots when they were on sale for 89.99 from 129.99. One pair for myself and one for my father. They were out of stock so we waited when we finally got them they were both to small so he kept my size and we sent his back for a bigger size for me. They didnt have them in stock so they refunded me the money instead of calling to see if there is another boot I would want or just to wait until they come in. So I called the number on the card that came in the mail to see what I can do to get a size 11 ordered. They just got some size 11s in and so I started another order but the sale price was over now and the woman on the phone would not let me get the original price that I paid. She wasnt very helpful at all and rude. Never going to Bass Pro again!!!!!

2021-10-22A real shopping experience and a place to visit, the beef jerky is the best in any store and the outdoor equipment cant be beaten!

2022-06-02I do not hunt or fish, nor do I like paying for clothes giving them free advertising. However, my better half will shop anywhere. I do not know about the hunting/fishing equipment, but the pricing on the other stuff in the store seems high to me.

2022-06-19I go there for boat related articles. Usually,I leave there with what I was looking for. If not, it is back in stock in a few days. The associates on the floor are friendly and helpful.

2018-11-14This place is great for anyone looking for anything outdoors. Theyve got great hunting, camping, fishing, and other outdoor gear for everyone. Its family friendly, lots of stuff for the kids, and is well staffed. We go there every year for the Santas Workshop stuff with our daughter. Its great. It does get really, really crowded and busy for that event, however. So be prepared. I like to look at all the clothing and hats, as well as the guns and hunting equipment. Definitely a lot of fun.

2016-11-04Fairly large outdoors store dead center I have an abandoned mall (at least thats the way it looks on the inside). The store has a vintage feel to it, and includes an Archery range and boat serve center. Overall its a nice location, but I think they need to take over the entire mall and make this place spectacular. They already house their boats in an unused store front near the food court.

2022-06-25The store itself is great. Huge selection of outdoor products. Lots to see with all their nice displays and the aquarium. Prices are on the high side for me. Pretty much only thing keeping the Finger Lakes Mall open
