Sarkie was great since the first time I contacted him for a showing. Not only was he very professional and not pushy about the showing but once I told him this wouldn’t work, he offered to help me find other options even though I was doing this search by myself. He sent options, was super responsive and very helpful with everything. Best broker I encountered in my whole search.

Jillian was one of the best I’ve worked with - that rare blend of professionalism, friendliness, efficiency, and warmth. She took great care of me, sending me dozens of listings based on my specified interests, and showed me several units over the course of two weeks. As I was outside of the city, she accommodated to my needs by doing live virtual walkthroughs over FaceTime. This past weekend concluded our renting and move-in process at an apartment in Manhattan. Ayanne Harrison was the broker and did an outstanding job. We were shopping for an apartment for our son who is attending college in Manhattan. We realize the housing rental market in the city can be tough, but seems particularly so now due to the impacts of the pandemic. Ayanne’s genuine approach was much appreciated. His industry knowledge and willingness to spent extra time advising/educating us to get through the process was most helpful. And he helped to negotiate an expedited move-in day so our son and his fellow student roommate were in place prior to the beginning of the school semester. I was new to New York and worked with Jay and James Quinn to view apartments. It was a pleasure working with James who showed us around. He was enthusiastic, informative and accomodating. The support from the team to expend all resources and provide many options was great. Definitely made the process easier for a newbie like me.
I recently connected with this agency for an apartment listed on Zillow. After viewing the virtual tour on FaceTime, and having our application approved, I paid a deposit on the assurance from Matt that it was the only way to hold our place, and to have first pick to sign the lease. After we viewed the apartment in person, it was clear the renovations werent started yet and the apartment wasnt ready to be lived in by our needed move-in date.After some negotiation they understood we couldnt take the apartment and refunded us the deposit even though they technically could have kept it. They put the customer first, and were grateful for their understanding during the COVID health and economic crisis.

2022-05-09Jay and his team were awesome in taking me through the apartment purchase process end to end. Having never bought an apartment before, I greatly appreciate the amount of time and effort that Jay spent with me to understand the market, helping me figure out what it is was that I wanted, showing me many places, and finally finding (and getting) my ideal place. Jay is well plugged into the real estate ecosystem and was able to refer partners or sort things out more easily as a result. The whole team was very communicative and transparent, as well as super organized, making me feel comfortable, understood and supported in the process. I cant thank them enough for their hard work!

2022-05-06So I have to say, finding an apartment in NYC is NOT easy at all and its stressful. However, Batra Group Real Estate remedied that stress. In particular the broker who worked with me was Lauren. All it took was one week of going to open houses and touring some listings and then the next week I got approved for my #1 choice! Lauren is the kind of broker who will go out there and get exactly what youre looking for. She will go above and beyond in making sure that you get the listing that you want. Personally, I was stressed out in this housing market as a first time renter straight out of graduate school and starting a career, but Laurens professionalism and dedication to finding your dream home totally makes things easier and allows you to breathe a little.
