As we know cause of COVID things has become difficult. Even when its short notice Bay Diagnostic always make me feel like a priority and take care of my vehicle without the hassle you get from dealerships. They dont pressure unnecessary work and they always help the best way possible. 💯 💪
Im updating my review from five years ago, just to reiterate the 5 stars. I have owned a 2005 LR3 that Bay Diagnostics helped me keep running long past its expiry date. Fantastic diagnostics - in one case, solving a problem the dealer was unable to solve - honest service, and when something wasnt worth doing, they said so. Keith is a pleasure to work with. And I hope my next car will get old fast enough so I can bring it to them for service!
Bay Diagnostic is a A1 service station when it comes to complex car issues, I own a Mecedes and the first time my transmission went into limp mode lock in first gear, I didnt know who else to take it to, I did a search on Google and came across these guys. I called spoke with them they guarantee me if I can get the car to them they can fix it, Bay Diagnostic stood buy they word, these guys know what they are doing when others dont. They even took me to get a rental until my car was fix. Great job Bay Diagnostic keep it up.
James and the crew at Bay Diagnostics were great. I had my Jeeps oil changed there. The shop and the waiting area was clean. I was offered coffe and water while I waited. Once the guy started on the oil change it didnt take long at all!
I have had my car serviced here at Bay Diagnostics multiple times. Each time I was satisfied with my service. Since I have spent so much money here. They offered my a free oil change that was right on time. Jordan is awesome and very personable.
Made a phone call to ask about fixing a power steering pump for odyssey 2010 part already in hand. Answer was if you go to a steakhouse would you bring your own steak and ask them to cook it. My guess is don’t bring your own parts and get their parts for a jacked up price
The best in the business! Brought in my 2018 Mazda 3 my mother bought for me to do a vehicle inspection and oil change as she tends to not do pre-purchase inspections on cars she buys. This is the first mechanic shop Ive been to that actually test drives the car prior to putting it on a lift. Car needed a new front rim and a serpentine belt. Other than that, car was flawless. The price was also fair. Dont think they only deal with Mercedes, BMWs, or Range Rovers, they will handle any car you can throw at them. I would definitely recommend them for all your car needs!

We have used Bay Diagnostics for o er 35 years. Jordan and his team have been responsible for all routine maintenance and needed repairs on our vehicles all of this time.We have had Toyotas and a Subaru all taken care of over these years without any issues or need to bring a car back to fix a repair.

This establishment did some work on my car. The quality was acceptable but other concerns were quite unacceptable. I would never use them again. Of course they will use the usual statement that I misinterpreted the intention of their representative. That expected and thats ok. I cant change the leopard.

Ive been taking my 2008 Porsche 911 to Bay Diagnostic for two years or so, most recently for routine oil change, brake flush, and seasonal tire swap. It was also time to change my rear brakes, and they got all this done in just a few hours. This place if far quicker and far less expensive than any dealer or shop I have used on the past. Quality work with no nonsense.
I did car inspection. Nice service. But another thing important to me - it’s a clean place. Most of shops are really nasty places. But this one is very neat!!

I received a job offer upstate, and needed snow tires for my smart car! Keith found the last 2 front tires in the US! They were in a warehouse in ohio. When I came in, I needed more services, and he fixed them in 5 hours. Speedy service, and goes the extra mile for his customers.
My 2012 VW Tiguan had a slight engine oil leak and front end repair, Car was at the VW dealer for a dead battery and they quoted the repairs of the leak which where outrageous...didnt expect anything less from them, Its covered w/ a 3rd party extended warranty which VW got them to cover none of it, Being a customer at Bay D. Jordan and his team went though the car, didnt need all that VW said. They negotiated w/ the warranty company, great price and had my car back quickly. Car runs tip top! The shop is also super clean, all the techs have years of experience. Thanks again Guys !!!
Had an awesome experience at my first visit. Keith and Jordan were very welcoming and made me felt at home. They have great stories to tell. They answered my questions and were very honest with me. A lot of things the Range Rover dealer told me had to get done and was charging an arm and a leg, they said we’re not necessary at this time. End up saving 90% of what the dealer was charging. Will DEFINITELY recommend Bay Diagnostic 100%!!!! And will service my SUV there going forward.
Jordan and Keith diagnosed the check engine light problem which prevented my car passing inspection. They explained and recommended the work needed. The mechanic efficiently performed the maintenance and fixed the problem. My car successfully passed inspection. Bay Diagnostics has a friendly team and provides great service!

Been going to Bay Diagnostics for years: first with my BMW 5 series and now with my Porsche Macan S. Very reliable, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Worth the trip to southern Brooklyn.I’ll add that I now entrusted my daughter’s Audi A5 to Jordan and his team. Just an oil change and inspection for now but I would not want anyone else to work on my daughter’s car if/when more serious work is needed.

Great shop repaired my vehicle from Florida. Towed in with an oil leak, luckily just a hole in oil 🛢.The filter was replaced and oil changed.While at the shop I asked for a safety inspection, brakes needed attention and front axle was bad and needed replacement. I authorized any necessary work. My 92 Mitsubishi Diamante back on the road again. Very professional shop would recommend to anyone who needs an honest mechanic shop.....Thanks again

Took my Fiat Abarth here to have my tpms sensors replaced. I am paranoid when it comes to my car and I wanted to take it some place where I knew it was in good hands. I was quoted a 2 WEEK wait just for a DIAGNOSTIC appointment at the local Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram dealership. I was able to take it to Bay Diagnostic first thing the next morning.I am very happy with the work Jordan and his team here did. Keith was wonderful to deal with, and he gave me a timely update on the repair estimate. They went through the extra trouble of speaking to my dealership so they could bill them for the repair work. The work was quite expensive, but you get what you pay for. Dealerships charge you much more, and you are often left unsure of the quality of work they did. You won’t have that issue if you take your car to Bay Diagnostic.Thank you again Jordan, Keith, and Nicky. I will definitely be back here for any future problems as well as maintenance.
These guys really go above and beyond - they have my highest recommendation! Also, they do winter/summer tire storage, which is amazing.

I went here for a vehicle inspection. I was thinking about buying this car for a guy off the internet.So when I get there. The owner and I are speaking and he gave me the best advice. I felt like I was talking to my dad. This was significant because my dad passed away. He was blunt, honest, and informative. I loved it. Saved me from buying a car that would have been a money pit. If you want to get your car fixed by someone who will tell it like it is and wont BS you I recommend this place. I will definitely only go here once I buy my car. After a few experiences of overpriced quotes and unnecessary proposed services, I called several places in Brooklyn and Bay diagnostic answered. Theyre professional, quick, no BS, and give you options. They are now my guys for anything automotive! I highly recommend them and will recommend them to anyone looking for auto repair or servicing. My significant other has been dealing with issues with her car and dealership for months. After looking for an alternative, she was told to try Bay Diagnostic and the service was truly one of a kind.Keith, the Manager, is very funny, personable and straight forward. He knows his stuff and works hard to NOT overcharge you for anything and breaks down what you need, as you need it and why. He took the time to help my significant other understand how her dealership was taking her for a ride and made sure to break down the services they offer and when she should be getting them. Also, he is very easy to talk to.Jordan, the Owner, is straight forward and honest. He, also, has a great personality and blends in with his staff. He doesnt come off as the owner and works side by side with the staff, which is really nice to see. He made a point to give us the overview of his shops philosophy and why they pride themselves on there work. It was refreshing.If you are using a dealership, dont. Go to Bay Diagnostic. Youll get 10 times better service for a fraction of the price. You should give these group of gentlemen a chance, you wont regret it.

I keep coming back to this shop because I know I will get fair, honest, thorough service. If you want a cheap, patch job go somewhere else. If you want a honest evaluation of your vehicle and want good quality service then I couldnt recommend a better place. Ive been burned by other mechanics--key word other (and other includes the branded dealerships). This place redeemed my faith in auto shops.They made time for me, when they didnt have to, and even stayed past closing. Tell me what shop or store you know that will keep their doors open for their customers past closing.As long as Im in Brooklyn, I will always proudly go to Bay Diagnostic.
The rotor on one of the rear wheels was completely worn out. Unfortunately mechanic couldnt find the reason for this failure but did a good job of replacing rotors and brakes for a reasonable price. Overall, it was good experience without hassle and delay.
Great service. Very professional! Everything that was intended to be repaired was truly repaired. I had a troubling situation from needing a entire engine replacement. Keith & Jordan kept in close contact with me every step of the way. They were kind and comforting during the entire process. My Mercedes Benz feels like a brand new vehicle! Ive used Bay Diagnostic for many years and several vehicles. They are always very professional and the service has been impeccable. This time I needed to get my brakes repaired before the next round of snow and the car was ready in a few hours. Its great to have trusted mechanics you can rely on.
Unfortunately, I can’t say that I recommend this place. At first they are very nice and polite. But when it comes to being a professional- not so much…My AC wasn’t working, and it was obvious that it was Freon that was missing. And yet they insisted on running a test for $250 to “discover what’s wrong”. Any amateur that knows The slightest thing about cars knew right away that it is missing Freon. I eventually found another shop that took care of it in 15 min for $85.

I have always had my Lexus dealer service my Lexus cars for many years. Lately I havent been so happy with their service procedures. I decided to try Bay Diagnostics. They did extensive repairs on my car ie: brakes, tires, axle shaft assembly replacement, plus other things too much to list.Everything was done with perfection. NO MORE LEXUS DEALER, ALL MY FUTURE MECHANICAL WORK WILL BE DONE BY BAY DIAGNOSTICS!!!The people there were all very pleasant to deal with no pressure, just suggestions about the repair your car might need. The person I spoke to is Keith.
I had my car towed to Bay Diagnostic when I was having problems with my starter. I spoke on the phone with two of the mechanics the following day, and they were very professional and kind and gave me a breakdown of exactly what was wrong with my car. They did not do any repairs until they had my authorization and were very up front with costs. My car was ready to be picked up the same day. The shop itself is very clean, new, and well-maintained. All employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this shop!Whats more is that due to the pandemic, I wasnt paying attention to my inspection sticker. The mechanic noticed that my inspection had expired and took the liberty of completing a new inspection for me. They really went above and beyond in making sure that my car was ready to hit the road.
I bought my newly purchased used Mercedes Benz to have a diagnostic test done because I wanted to ensure that the vehicle was operable and in good condition. Ray the owner and the Mechanics were extremely friendly and courteous upon my arrival. I observed all of the certifications on the walls. Seeing those certificates made me feel comfortable because I only wanted a Mercedes certified Mechanic to work on my GL 550. The cost of the service was so reasonable considering I was quoted 3 times that price at the Mercedes Benz Dealership Service Dept. After the Mechanic looked at my vehicle I was told that it needed to be serviced and they suggested that due to the fact that I just purchased a used car the oil should be changed but other than that my baby passed with flying colors. I immediately gave them the green light to move forward with the oil change and maintenance. I was offered coffee water & juice while I waited in the office seating area. Overall my experience was above and beyond my expectations. I just took my car on a mini road trip for Thanksgiving and it was a blessing in disguise to know that my nerves and fears were at ease. I will definitely be using BAY DIAGNOSTIC again in the future! This will be my car’s home for all maintenance and repairs.
I have a 2004 land discovery which had a few issues this is my second time using Bay Diagnostic. My experience was great they fixed my car on time. I found the cost was reasonable the team to be very professional.I will definitely use them again :)
I came into Bay Diagnostics for an oil change on a Land Rover LR3 I had recently purchased used. While the car was on the lift they discovered that it needed a new rear differential, which I didn’t dispute. One of the managers, not the owner who seems to be a nice guy, spent 29 minutes telling me how the LR3 is the worst vehicle on the road and that it was a massive mistake to purchase one. He told me the repair was not worth doing and that I should literally walk away from the vehicle/trade it in/get rid of it. I was heart broken as I loved the truck and it seemed to be in perfect shape with very low miles. I didn’t know what to do and somehow found L&M Motors in Brooklyn. It was night and day...Billy, the owner of L&M was calm and reassuring. After test driving the Rover with me he assured me we could find the part used for a reasonable price....which is exactly what he did. L&M is much more of a family business and they really seem to understand the relationship some of us have with our cars. Bay appears to be a great place if you own a newer vehicle or price is not an issue. Maybe I just got them on a bad day but I will surely never go there again for the care of my vehicle....was a terrible experience. Pls feel free to ping me for any details...Spencer

They properly diagnose the cause of problems that they effectively repair and they identify potential problems for the customer to address in the future. I am a loyal customer over many years mainly because the have been loyal to me in providing me with quality work.
This has been the best shop Ive been to with staff that are very knowledgeable and with great customer service. I went in to replace the front brake pads and also to fix a vibration in the steering wheel. A mechanic named Fendi asked to take the car around (I was in of course) and he was spot on with the problem. I also suggested that it was an engine problem and instead of agreeing to bump up the price, he said not at all and that my problem was a common tire problem. Had great conversations with management and the process was very smooth. I decided to wait to complete the repairs and even though i needed urgent repairs, i was not treated differently or pressured into paying. Also, I was not charged even though i did not go through with the repairs the same day. I 100% recommend Bay Diagnostic.

Can’t say this often, but actually felt like I can trust them and won’t be swindled for once. I was looking for a VW dealer alternative with great ratings. After doing some research, I took my car to Bay Diagnostic to have them check out an issue that seemed to be coming from the glove compartment. As soon as I explained the issue, Jordan knew what it was right away and after confirming, he gave me a great price to fix the car. Now it works like new. Id recommend these guys to anyone.

I have been happily using Bay Diagnostic for three different makes of cars for about 25 years. Jordan, Steve and the mechanics are totally knowledgeable. They clearly explain everything that needs to be done and why. Theyve kept my various cars running well and I never had a single problem. If you want to wait, they will give you a reasonable estimate of time and theyll stick to it. The prices are very reasonable and if Jordan has the time, you can also have a really great conversation on many different subjects.
I drive a SmartCar so not a lot of shops will do routine repairs on it. They specialize in Smart, so I went there.Went there to fix my wipers. Was in and out in less than 3 minutes.Keith was super nice and helpful.Will definitely be transferring my business to there.
Brought my newly to me Porsche here and was looking for a permanent go to EU Shop. First called to schedule appointment, they sain unnecessary, just come. Got there, guy at the counter was jittery and all over the place. Time to change oil, over 3hr, with a charge of $250. Later found out they didnt reinstall under trim properly. Reset not only my oil, but also all other maintenance intervals (which i didnt ask to do).They got my cell and kept texting. I asked to remove it from their system and they dont. 2 years of messages now and still wont remove. If you believe this shop has a 4 star review and mine is the only negative one, take a look at the reviewers, these are all fake accounts to bring their rating from the grave.My opinion... unprofessional, slow, not punctual, careless, overpriced for quality of work performed.
Bay Diagnostic is the #1 shop for European cars and more. For smart ForTwo, they are the only choice. Dont surrender your bank account to Mercedes. Bay will do better work for far cheaper.I have taken my car to Mercedes and was deeply dissatisfied with their work and arrogant approach to customer service. Bay is the opposite, delivering top-notch work with a smile.Bay is old-school, Brooklyn strong. No lies, no coercion, just the truth. To date, theyve replaced my muffler, entire transmission, clutch, valves, sensors, wiper motor, and have performed numerous oil changes.Scheduling is a breeze, and theyre conveniently located, with an enormous shop and easy parking.Do not go to Mercedes, go to Bay.

I started going to Bay Diagnostic back in the late 1990s with my Govt-assigned vehicle as this is where my Employer directed me to go for needed service & repair (I knew the stringent background/vetting Bay Diagnostic had to go thru to attain such approval).As such, I then brought my personal vehicle(s) for preventative maintenance and repair. To date, the work was always done right the first time, Customer Service has always been top-notch (clear communication); & the vehicle(s) were ready at the time I was advised they would be. Costs were commensurate with price parts & Labor which I was told about ahead of time, was explained & detailed legibly on the receipt.Best Auto-Repair shop ever!~ Debbie B.
Great service. It is a bit pricey but you ge what you pay for. The repair was done timely and the customer service was great. I highly recommend this shop especially for foreign car owners. I have tried many shops before and they were not able to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle.
I got referred here by a friend. I need to swap winter tire and store summer tires. it isnt easy to find a shop still provide this service. staff is friendly and let me ship the winter tire directly to them, saved me a lot of trouble. on the day of swap they are fast, clean, with good price. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.
This place was nice and clean, behind the counter, I dealt with Keith who was very friendly and helpful. However, I went there for a check engine light issue and an inspection.They couldnt give me straight answers about what the actual problem was and insisted I just junk the car. (Its a smart car) not a great purchase Im aware since the parts and labor are always a problem.Not Entirely sure what they actually looked at, if anything. Overall the visit, which accomplished nothing cost me 160.00 and Im still at square one. I would not recommend this place.
Came in to get an eletrical issue checked out on my 2011 BMW. They were very quick in diagnosing the issue. Repairs were quick and efficient. Very knowledgeable staff and great customer service. My warranty for my 2012 Audi A6 had expired, so I was searching for a good mechanic shop. I was very fortunate to find Bay Diagnostics. Keith and his team are very professional, not only did they fix my car but they were very honest and straightforward. I highly recommend this shop for your repairs.
I have a lot of respect for Jordan as a top mechanic. My dad first used the shop in the late 80s. In recent years I figured to revisit the shop even if its a few miles away. I am known by many to take very good care of my cars. So its important to me that major parts replaced be of top quality. I am hopeful I wont need anything major the next few years given all the work that I have had done. Keith is pleasant as well handling my inquiries . Whether its a Toyota or a Volvo; I feel the shop is very capable especially using OEM parts.

I own a 99 beetle, I love her and do my best to make sure shes running great. Anything I see or hear I tell my boyfriend and he takes care of it. We have a trusted mechanic but out of the way. Twice I have been to the shop and I love it. Knowing the dealers would charge an arm and a leg we did some research and found a shop close to home. I wouldnt have anyone else poking in her but I very much trust the owner here. I know for future services would be done here at Bay Diagnostic. The people here are great, informative and very friendly. Got a great car that I never amanged buying used Porsche Panamera hybrid like all great things need services. This is the place i used an authorized dealer once and then started looking for a local independent mechanic these are the guys for all foreign and domestic. Did my amount of drive bys reading website’s didn’t match there Facility. Jordan the owner is a very great guy. I specifically remember him during hurricane sandy operations in the area helping so many people. I brought my car in after being quoted a crazy amount of money to get it fixed. He was very fair and extremely helpful in getting me not to freak out and figured everything out for a fraction of the cost! Nick his mechanic was very knowable and he took his time being very thorough with my car. I highly recommend this shop, they treat everyone very well and with respect.
I found Bay Diagnostic on the interbet. They were very highly rated..as it turned out they deserved every star they got. At the very least, they did thorough job of informing me exactly what my cars problems were. ..details and alternatives. While I was waiting Keith, Jordan and Nick were more than merely polite. They were informative and supportive. The work they did was done on time and with explanations. I was given a complete, detailed bill with guarantees and suggestions for future work. I will definitely be back for any and all future work on my car. As a woman dealing with automotive problems I have been condescended to and ignored. I searched for a long time before settling on Bay Diagnostics and couldnt be happier. They are easily the best and most trust worthy mechanic I have ever been to. I have had 2 major services here and the prices were fair and up front, and the work was done well and in good time. I even brought my car here after a dealership told me I needed $2k worth of work, and Bay confirmed I needed none of that work and even showed me how the parts were fine on my car. Went in for a rotors and pads that Ive bought for installment on a Saturday morning for my Passat Sport , got there and was instantly taken care off ; took about two hours the most to do the rotors and pads all around and the thing I love is that you can look and see the quality the work do that being done to your car. I love this place. Will definitely be doing here for my my installments of anything. Way better pricing than the dealer. Can’t wait to come in for a oil change compared to be going to VW and spending 160 for a oil change.....

As a young female driver a lot of shops try to take advantage of you ( oversell you, etc.) but not here. The second I came to bay diagnostic I was greeted by the warm and friendly crew and immediately felt comfortable . In regards to the work, you’re not gonna find better . They’re extremely efficient , capable, and fast. I had some semi - extensive repairs done on my car and they took a day and a half. They go above and beyond when repairing your car because they care, not because they want a check. Would never take my car anywhere else .

I visited BAY on 2/1/20 for an alignment issue created by the BMW dealership I went to this past Oct. I was greeted by Keith who was more than happy to open the garage earlier than they opened. He explained everything involved in the alignment process and best of all they have the state of the art equipment required by BMW to do the work properly. Suffice it to say they corrected the problem. And the most pleasing part is that the steering wheel is actually straight. Take it from a guy with OCD, a straight steering wheel is beyond important. As soon as the maintenance warranty expires with BMW Ill be bringing my car to BAY. And they are located 35 minutes from my house.

I had high expectations about this company because of how many positive reviews I seen.However, after Speaking with Jordan, I understand that:1- He has no patience for customers because he literally speaks over you. Not to mention how many times he spoke over me because even once is ill-mannered and completely insolent.2- He is not as knowledgeable as he may seem to be due to the reputation that his company reviews hold.What happened was: I called to get a quote for Carbon Cleaning using Walnut Blaster. Carbon cleaning removes carbon from the intake valves, which can be found at the cylinders head — knowing that it makes complete logical sense to identify your car by providing the basic specifications such as: Make, Model, Year. Technically thats enough because Jordan can go the extra mile for the customer and look up what kind of chassis and engine belongs to that Make, Model, Year. But instead, I told Jordan the chassis and engine anyway, along with the Make Model and Year, which means he has everything he needs to know to get Carbon Cleaning done. Instead, Jordan insisted he needs a VIN and did not want to deal with me if I did not give him a VIN. VINs are unique identifiers for cars. **He has no reason to look at the VIN. And he could not provide me with one over the phone.** So he, therefore, hung up. I wish I had a recording of this call so that everyone may see his childish behavior, maybe his company has it saved, and he can post it here. I give permission from my end.
Not many places service Smart Cars at a reasonable cost to boot. Dealer wanted 250-300 what Bay did for 58. Appointment was super convenient and the service was quick, knowing I was in a rush. Good inspection too, knew exactly what my car needed for past and future services.

The owner can be really aggressive with customers. My boyfriend’s been there several times, and the owner (Jordan) was very condescending and rude to him. They claim to be the best, but they underestimate the time and therefore the price of the job. They said a job would be 1-2 hours, but ended up saying it’ll be 4-5 hours, which is a big price difference. The worst part is the owner’s inability to accept responsibility for bad customer service. Really disappointed with this place.
I have been going to Bay Diagnostics for close to 15 yrs. I have an outstanding professional relationship with Jordan. I have ALWAYS been treated fairly and honestly by Jordan & staff. I researched every Range Rover certified mechanic around The Tri-state area and found Bay Diagnostic on Gravesend Neck which is a magically quiet and safe area. I took my 2017 Diesel Range Rover Limited Edition to Jordan and the boys. I was delightfully surprised to find that they took the time to want talk to me and care about me as a person! That went a long way. Im a 26 year retired Marine Sergeant Major and I am certainly accustomed to professionalism. You have to bring your domestic or exotic here at least once. The shop is operating room clean (Spotless)and Igor my mechanic was Masterful on working on even the most brand new full sized RR model, and a Diesel even!! Did I mention I saved 20 dollars over the closest competitor that still beat the dealership by over 130 dollars??? Im about to call in and order the trailer hitch package instead of going to the dealer and Ill review that as well! Thanks Jordan and Bay Diagnostic youre family now! Good motoring!!!
Ive been taking my car(s) to Bay Diagnostic for years (I started when they were located on Ocean Ave.). These guys are the best, and for the record I have never owned a fancy car (Toyota and Hyundai, respectively). Jordan and Al are pros and nice guys. Not the cheapest place in town (though completely reasonable) but you get what you pay for. Cant recommend them highly enough.
We had our 2000 BMW 528i serviced here recently. The mechanics were quick and professional, and kept me constantly updated on what they had done, what still needed to be done, and the cost of each repair. They were careful to tell us which work needed to be done right away, and what could wait. All told, we got great service, for less than the dealership would have charged just for an inspection. Well definitely be coming back.
An honest place. Had my VW brakes done in June. Did not work properly due to faulty parts. With no hassle, for free, changed everything 4 months later. They also have a full time computer guy to deal with complexities of foreign and domestic cars. Not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Clean and nice place, highly recommended.
This is the only place that I trust with my car. They are honest, trustworthy, and very helpful. Mostly, what you pay for repairs or service is fair and straight forward. They have never tried to cheat me or suggested that I have anything done that was necessary to maintain my car.

Brought my Vintage Mercedes to replace a bad muffler a few months ago. Not only did they do a bang up job, they charged me almost a Thousand dollars. They replaced the Muffler, but put back the old used and worn out Muffler support Bushings. The last support Bushing that holds the Muffler has snapped and left the Muffler somewhat hanging lower than it’s supposed to be. Owner was very nasty and disrespectful after I asked about the repair procedure. Did not explain really what was done. He just handed me an Invoice and said, this is the bill. I went to a Tire shop today to get all my tires replaced and when the vehicle was hoisted on the lift, out of curiosity I looked under the vehicle to inspect it. To my surprise the rubber bushing they supposedly replaced, was old and rotted, with the one closest to the rear totally snapped. The Invoice stated that they replaced the Muffler with Clamps and Gaskets. I called and spoke with someone at Bay Diagnostics and they told me to bring it right away to check it. Upon arrival, the owner jumped out and stated he cannot put it on a lift now, as he have no space. Told me to leave my car for 3 hours so he can look at it. I explained to him on the spot what was the issue I noticed, and he stated, its a vintage car, I still would have to order the part. So Yes, I am very disappointed with this Shops Owner and his unprofessional behavior to customers. Be sure to let them show you what was done BEFORE you leave the Shop. I have included photos as proof to backup my claim.
Pleasant and hospitable crew, no complaints with regard to customer service. I brought X5 for regular oil change and trust that the work was done as advertised.The pricing desires to be better, hence the reason for 3 stars. The shop charged me almost $260 for such routine service, which included $65 charge for bluetec fluid for diesel engine (I think a bottle of this fluid costs $15 retail). For this price you would expect replacement of air filters as well, however I was told to bring the car again in 6 months for another service, which I am afraid may cost me as much.....Anyway, one of the reason why I brought the car to independent mechanic, rather than dealer was cost, however at the price point that is marginally lower, not sure if it is worth it. At this point I am uncertain whether I will use this mechanic again.

I needed a quick fix of my wiper sensors. First of all they took forever to do it and they forced me to do a full diagnostic which later they charged me $350 for. When they found “multiple problems” with my car I was shocked how much they want to get my money. Secondly this place never heard of good customer service. It seems like they just there to chill and make fun out of customers. I know that this place is been in business for a long time but timed changed and they need to keep up. After I was told how much I need to pay, btw without any invoices or proof of job being done, owner refused to take my electronic payment and after I give him my card to charge he threw it back to me like he was doing me a favor.

Read the yelp reviews. I wish I did before I stepped foot into that nightmare they consider a mechanic shop. They are straight up crooks with zero intentions of helping anyone but their own pockets and that’s why they act as disrespectfully as they do. The owner always says conveniently to any negative review that I don’t see you in the system and that’s because they don’t provide an invoice on any initial estimates because they know they will charge you more on the back end and allowing them to play the games that they do. they act like know it all’s that don’t really know anything at all. With them you aren’t allowed to be knowledgeable of your own car and they talk to you with a condescending tone as if they actually know what they’re doing but they really don’t. Because I didn’t allow them to work on my car they tried to hold my car hostage and threatened me with physical force which I have video footage of and have forwarded it to the BBB. Also got my car fixed at emils for less than half of bay diagnostic fraudelent 1000$ diagnostic price quote..
Needed a pre-purchase inspection for a Subaru Forester and they told me itll take over an hour. I thought it might be a little long but Jordan the owner told me he wanted to do a thorough job. Within minutes they found some big issues with the car and instead of going through with the rest of the inspection and charging me full price, he called me right away and told me the issues to save me money. (Unlike other mechanics who will breeze through the remainder of the inspection and still charge full price.)These guys are skilled, honest, and prompt. Ill definitely go back again.

The work is professionally done, the quality of the work is top notch and most of all Jordan and Alan truly care and take the time to let you know whats going on. No bull crap, direct to the point and they let you what they need to do to make sure your car is back in running condition and you walk out knowing that they looked at everything so there are no surprises. I dont know too much about cars but Alan (the main guy I dealt with) and the rest of the crew were all very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with my many questions.They fixed up the car as fast as was possible and charged me a reasonable rate. This is most likely due to their sleazeball service manager Keith, who lies about parts pricing and tries to stick it to you every chance he can.I work on my BMW a lot and I know parts pricing and service. Two times now Keith has tried to charge me double, and in the most recent case, 5 times what the same parts cost from another distributors. Each time this happens he pretends to be mystified.Jordan, reset the business back on a path to honesty. No one wants to feel screwed. I have run into many old customers of yours at L & M, all with the same complaint about Keith and his sleazy manner

Do not recommend this place. It is the Worst place in Brooklyn, took my Mini Cooper here last year because the speedometer was messing up. Had to wait a few hours just to hear something from them and then told me that a few things was broken in the steering system. They tried to charge me 2500.00 dollar for the things that was broken, but the price was just too crazy. Tried a different shop that was authorized for Minis and they fixed it for only 10 dollars.The only bad thing in my Mini was a sensor on the brakes. also while I was waiting for my car, the fat bald guy in the front was making fun of the other customers who left their cars there with the other workers in the office. They thought I wasnt listening but I heard everything. bad bad place. There are much better places in Brooklyn than this place

The substantial work done on my BMW was good. There are 3 reasons that Bay Diagnostics did not get 5 stars from me. 1, While I was waiting, 2 employees had an argument over a broken printer and 1 of the employees threw papers on the other persons head. It was rather uncomfortable to be around that. Reason 2 is that the out the door quote I was given was raised by $900 because of a broken radiator hose. That is a part that is very visible upon inspection! Why wasnt I told about that up front? Did the part get ruined during repairs? ..and I had to pay for it? Reason 3 is after spending $4,600 on repairs, I was given $20 to go get the car washed. They didnt have time. So I had to take time out of my day to do it myself. But the work was successful and it was still a little cheaper than a dealer. But not much.

Knowledgeable staff, friendly, accurate and timely service. We have a 2012 Mini Countryman and while the dealer provides good service, they are often outrageuosly expensive. Bay provided equivalent service without the massive markups. Also, the location is one block from the NY subway system, so no issue dropping off and picking up the car. Highly recommended!

Its easily accessible from the Belt Parkway or Ocean Parkway, and the Q train is a few blocks away. Service is friendly with good communications about the work being done.
I made an appointment early in the morning. I went with my father , when I went in They were really nice . I explained what the problem was with the car and my father tried to explain too, even though he doesn’t speak good English. They declined us and said that they couldn’t fix the car because they are not comfortable fixing the car beacause my father couldn’t speak English. They told us to. “go and find someone that speaks your language “. I was there to translate for him but the told us to get out . They are fake and rude don’t go there.
I have taken my car to Bay Diagnostic for several years, they are very professional and their work is excellent. They are understanding and will work with you. I will not take my car to any other Auto Repair Shop.
Repair was done at an overcost price. Engine light showed up again but will NOT take my car to Bay Diagnostic again to hear a check engine light diagnostic is $150. Cost will be deducted from charge if you decide to repair issue at their high cost.

Probably the friendliest people Ive met in Brooklyn. AAA brought my Volvo here when its fuel pump died. They called me first thing the next morning, answered all my questions thoroughly, and would have had my car ready by 5 that evening if not for problems with the new part (no fault of the shop.) Instead, it was all ready by the end of the next day. Kept me updated the entire way. No smoke and mirrors like other shops in Brooklyn that friends of mine have gone to. Plus they are right next to a subway station so theyre super convenient to get to when you dont have your car! Will definitely go back to them next time my car needs work.

I had a problem on my a4 where i couldnt shift into any gear (the shifter was floppy). Jordan took me right in and took care of the problem right away as he knew i needed the car for the day. HIGHLY recommend this shop as they are courteous, generous, professional, and trustworthy. I am FOR SURE coming back here for my future repairs!! Jordan and his team are great!!

Approachability, knowledge, professionalism, silid human relations and affordable job prices characterised my experiences with both Allan and Jordan at their facility in NY. The mechanics who worked on my BMW were as professional as their bosses,but more importantly, no one pressured me into doing a job I wasnt ready or able to do. They did not accept my go-to Am Ex card but offered me cups of hot beverages while I waited in their user-friendly waiting space...great for that cold day. Brought my Porsche 911SC in with a detached fan belt, car overheating and burning oil, and Bay Diagnostic had me back in the road, new belt and oil change later that day, excellent work and prompt service. Highly recommend.
Guys has taken 160 bucks just to confirm that my car had a problem which was indicated by the message on dashboard. It took for them a day. To fix it theyve asked another 400. And they have stated that my warranty doesnt cover the case.I came to Audi dealer. In 1.5 hour, they have fixed it for free, there was no need to change the detail.
Came in with check engine light that I had an inkling was due to carbon on the valves, a common issue on the Jetta GLI and other direct injection engines. Repair was uneventful, quick, mechanic cold tested the car the next morning to ensure that symptoms were resolved. Would recommend for Volkswagen service.
I diagnosed myself the need for wires and coils for my 2003 Landrover after scanning for codes. The shop offered a fair price and I trusted that they have been in business a long time.These Landrover’s can be a bear to work on and the I was pleased that the OEM parts were the quality that I would have used if I had the skill to do the work myself. The truck runs good but I miss my Silverado.
We used this service together with my sister (2 different car models). They were very helpful and the price was reasonable. I have had an issue with a convertible top and they checked it and did not charge for a diagnostic. I would definitely recommend this place for my family and friends. Yury
Found shop on internet very good reviews.Work schedule makes it impossible to drop off or pick up during normal business hours. I needed a shop that could fix issues with check engine light and be able to pass NY emissions.No shop can guarantee you will pass inspection. I have some advice as to CEL problems.You can go to AutoZone get the clerk behind the counter to read your computer and then tell you its this that and maybe this give him a tip and leave thinking you now know the problem.Or you can go to the garage you always go to and have them tell you straight out it is this replace parts and still have your CEL come on after you leave the shop.You need to drive the vehicle 50 miles or more,and when you bring it back they say this is another code not the one we fixed. You can go to a Check Engine Shop. Pay $100-150 just to check and recommend repairs, or you can go to this shop and get your vehicle diagnosed and fixed so you can get back to your life. Their base diagnostic charge may seem high but they get it right.I was at that Check Engine Shop.Twice and they couldnt even explain what the issue was.My vehicle was a 2004 Passat 4 motion with 88,000 miles. The total bill was around $1800 with over $900 in parts , $290 for diagnostic test including a smoke test to check vacuum,the right way to see leaks.Did I think it would cost that much? No but Parts for foreign cars are higher than domestic. I have been driving the vehicle and it runs great.They clued me in on what to expect in the future with this wagon. If I had gone here in the first place I would have not wasted $600 and hours of my time.Sorry for the long review but the moral of my story is go to this shop first...

I have been looking for an auto repair shop in Brooklyn for my BMW and am very happy I found these guys. They were very professional and provided better service than the dealership at a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for an honest repair people in Brooklyn.
Had Check Engine Light on my 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Looked online, and found Bay Diagnostic. Very Glad i did. This company knows what they are doing. Very Nice People, Love the place also. Nice, and Clean. Not like other mechanics in Brooklyn. These people get the job done, and i know, i will be back. If i could, i would give more stars.
This is the worst repair shop that I have ever encountered. They could not solve a problem on my car and suggested I visit a different shop to find the problem. I took the advice and visited another shop where they were able to find the solution. I later made an appointment for something to be repaired at the original shop , my brakes. When I arrived the owner belittled me and refused my service. He was calling me a liar stating that I went to another shop on my own accord even though one of his employees told me to do so.
Came in for a safety inspection, was treated respectfully and was processed through very quickly and efficiently. Great staff and management, will definitely come again!

Avoid this place. Very unprofessional and rude workers here, especially this guy Jordan. I ask them for an estimate for some work on a 2009 Range Rover HSE and they tried to rip me off. They are crooks and they will lie to you about what you need to fix. I went to Emils around the corner (by mistake) and got everything done and am much happier. This man Jordan should be fired. This place does not deserve to be in business. AVOID!!!

Most of their positive reviews are from people who THEY PAID TO LEAVE POSITIVE REVIEWS, and the rest are from corporate giants who pay them thousands for simple jobs so it never comes out of the actual customer/drivers pocket. LOWLIFE THIEFS. They will take your car, tell you it has way worse problems then it really does, HOLD IT HOSTAGE, they wil never give out any invoice thats under 2000$ for any job. They are here to lie, cheat & steal people with car problems for their own profit. AVOID THIS SHOP, and please may god shut you crooks down, and the owner JORDAN. Amen

2022-04-23Had an issue with my 2012 Porsche Cayenne and brought it to Bay Diagnostic after the Porsche dealership could not fix the problem after 2 failed attempts. I was able to get an appointment with them the same day and they were super courteous, offered to arrange for a tow if needed. I got to the shop and was attended to promptly. Although I had to leave the car, the repair only took a couple of hours, and problem SOLVED. Thank you guys for an absolutely great job at a reasonable price. Finally found myself a new place to service my car.

They are totally honest; they have fine mechanics who do great work; the prices are very reasonable; the work is done quickly; they communicate well. Aside from that it’s always fun and interesting to speak with Jordan on just about any subject. This is an outstanding business that I would recommend to anyone.

2022-06-25As new customer I researched this place and saw the positive Google reviews. I was able to book an appointment online. I called to confirm if they had night drop off and was pleased to find out they do. I left the key in the night drop and left a note for the technician on the dashboard. They contacted me immediately to advise me of what I needed to be serviced with a quote. I authorized the repair and paid over the phone. They emailed me with an invoice.It was a pleasurable experience. The only negative thing I could say is I was not able to thank them personally for their exceptional service face to face only because of scheduling conflicts.Bay Diagnostics is my new local repair shop for our BMW and Mini Cooper!!!!

2022-01-31Bay Diagnostics was a pleasure to do business with.This establishment is very professional from beginning to end (setting an appointment to rolling out the door). This is THE MOST cleanest repair shop that I have ever had the pleasure to encounter. The manager, Keith, is such a delight and he is very communicative ( I had even received a follow up call to inform me about some information). I needed to wait for a ride and was offered a seat in the waiting area as well as coffee or another beverage. My bill was a fair charge for the maintenance that was done.I live in Queens but will drive the extra distance to Bay Diagnostic for their professionalism.

2022-05-07So took my car here cause Ive had some shaking but really came to get my genesis walnut blasted. Ive called about 30 places and all really specialized in German cars only. Finally called this place and Keith said he could help me out. Brought my car the next day and they did that services for me and did an oil change as well. He end up figuring out the vibration is due to the motor mount and its nothing serious but Ill probably get it taken care of later on. After getting my car back my steering is definitely smoother and my backup camera that was have a fuzzy intermittent connection is working fine now. I didnt even mention that issue to him. The staff are super friendly and they went above and beyond to help me diagnose the issue. Also Keith is a very well spoken and communicative individual thats a straight shooter. Will definitely bring my car back no worries.

Was impressed by the overall customer service, Keith was polite he communicate with you, explain to u the process and what to expect. The process was a bit longer than expected but for the quality of work that was done I was ok with it. They took their time and did the job right. I always bounce from mechanic to mechanic based on needs for my car but with bay diagnostic they treat me as family. Made sure before they gave the car back everything was in working order.
