Richie did my floor back on June 30th, my bedroom: this is the best part of my home. When he removed an old rug, I saw right away it delivers a 30 per cent increase in size and makes the room look bigger and cleaner. I want to expand this method into other areas of the house when I get a chance. This type of plank flooring is the way to go, see Richie for more details ......All I can say is this is a happy summer for me.
Richie and Kevin exemplify what every business should be like. They carpeted stairs for me and did an excellent job--clean, tidy, precise install. The price was fair. The work excellent. They were also really responsive, really reliable and showed up when they said they would. Very pleased.
We are delighted with our experience with Bay Ridge Carpet and Linoleum. Operated by owner Richie and his son, Kevin. Kevin came to our home and measured for tile for two hallway floors and a carpet runner for the stairs. He explained the installation process in detail so there were no surprises on installation day.With measurements done, my wife and I headed to the store where Richie explored what we were interested in and then pulled out samples upon samples for us to consider. We went through the elimination process and less than an hour later we placed the order.On installation day, Segundo Lozado and his crew arrived and quickly and methodically went about their craft. Measuring here, cutting there and installing like clock-work. (Of course we treated them to a pizza lunch.) Youve guessed by now that we liked the outcome --- indeed we did. But Im writing this review because the professionalism and ease from purchase to installation is something we dont see much anymore; it was a great experience with Bay Ridge Carpet and Linoleum. I waited almost a year to submit this review because the quality of the job is important but equally important is how it holds up over time, and how responsive a company is if you need to reach them later on. On all three counts, Ritchie gets five stars! Ritchie replaced a marmoleum floor in my kitchen and dining area last fall and did an outstanding job. Marmoleum is expensive material and you definitely want the best installers. My installation required an inset of a contrasting color, and I’m very particular about the seams, etc. Everyone who comes in comments on how beautiful it looks and I’m thrilled! Now, a year later, I had some minor flooding which caused one edge of the flooring to come unglued. When I called, Ritchie was very responsive and told me exactly what to do. I have let it dry for several weeks as he suggested and now I will have them come and glue it back down. I have complete confidence in them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
Friendly service and quick turnaround to install our family room staircase carpet. Our family visited the store and was greeted and listened to exactly to our needs. Although our job was small they came out and measured and sent 3 guys to install and was done in less than an hour! Will use again for our main staircase down the road. Thank you!

We had a really excellent experience working with Kevin and his team. They were very professional, thoughtful about our needs, had great products to choose from, did a great job on the installation, were nice and friendly the whole way, and their pricing was very competitive compared to others who we also got quotes from. I needed new carpet installed in my jewelry store showroom. I got a quote from one place in Manhattan and it seemed high. I found Bay Ridge Carpet online and called to see if they would service the city. Lucky for me they did! The selection was extensive and they helped me pick a carpet that was reasonably priced but excellent quality. The installation was super quick -2 hours (the other company told me it would take all day). BRC installers were professional and did not interrupt my business. I highly recommend them and will use them again!
This company is just fantastic. We just used them for carpet for our living room - the install went so smoothly (neat, fast, perfect). Wow! What a great experience from start to finish. Professional, polite, helpful and considerate. The last carpet I bought was Loewe’s or Home Depot and it was a nightmare Thought I’d save money but I didn’t. Never again! I’ll be shopping locally.
Just had resilient ‘click’ flooring installed in the most professional and thoughtful manner. Workers asked my opinion every step of the way about detail options. They cleaned up after themselves even tying up cardboard from boxes. It’s totally beautiful and I’m one happy customer!
If you get can get Jhon to help you then you are all ready winning ! He is great at what he does & honestly if he has the patience to work with myself and my husband than Kevin is a plus in my book . I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and he made time to come that same day to give us an estimate. Like I said great customer service!
The old tacky strips were thrown into black plastic bags mixed with other scraps. This caused injuries to my hands and fingers when I lifted the bags to put them on the curb for the trash. I removed all the tacky strips scattered in the bags to prevent injury to the sanitary workers and to people walking on the sidewalk. Many children walk to and from St Anselm school across the street and could have been injured by the sharp nails sticking through the plastic bags, as I was. There was extensive scratching of the paint along the wall of the stairway, and the workers complained that the painters should have removed the old carpet first although it was stated before the job that the carpet installers were to remove the old carpet. Some scratches would be expected, but this was on every step and landing: I watched the installer as he worked very fast and he was not careful. I would not recommend this company.
I have uneven floors, Richie recommended floating floors, a snap in place bendable floor that would be perfect and he was right. I am not disappointed. His staff arrived removed the old linoleum and cleaned up. I am very pleased.

2022-05-01I could not be happier about my carpet installation. From the moment I called the store to the installation itself everything was great. They came to measure and estimate and in less than 7 days my carpet was ready to be installed. Mr Richie is a professional all the step of the way and so was the guy that came to give me the estimate, the guys that came to install were prompt, fast and great. Everything was reasonably priced and properly installed. I highly reccomend them, you will not regret it.

2022-05-19Bay Ridge Carpet is the best carpet company we’ve ever used. My husband and I own several multifamily buildings in Brooklyn and we’ve used different carpet companies over the years. None of them compare to Bay Ridge Carpet . The work they did in our brownstone in Cobble Hill Is perfect. They started the job within a week of our hiring them and they finished a big job in less than 3 days. On top of it all, their price is very reasonable and fair. Can’t recommend them enough !!!

2022-04-05My wife and I shopped all over Brooklyn to replace the stair runner in our brownstone. We looked at every store’s selections and their prices. Bay Ridge clearly came out ahead. The salesman who was also the owner was a easy to work with and helpful. That didn’t stop us from being anxious about actually getting the carpet installed. The experience could not have been better. He was accommodating, and the workers were punctual and neat. And he work is beautiful! We couldn’t be more happy.

2022-06-10All the folks at Bay Ridge Carpet are very professional and good at what they do. I called to get Marmoleum installed in two rooms. They came the next day to measure. I ordered the materials and (while the factory was delayed) as soon as the materials arrived they scheduled a day to install. 4 installers came and they made very quick work of installing the flooring. They were also very polite and paid attention to details. I would recommend Bay Ridge Carpet and I’d use them again!

2022-03-11Family owned and operated, its all about the people, and these are good people. Their shop is jam-packed and couldnt be less fancy. Who needs that? No nonsense, Brooklyn awesome. 2021-05-17Called for a quote to install carpet runners (I had already purchased online elsewhere) and was shocked by how much lower their price was than the other Brooklyn carpet place I had called. The owner, Richie, was super quick and responsive, worked around my schedule and squeezed me in quickly. His guys were terrific—quick, skilled, friendly, communicative, and neat. After all the headaches and frustration I have run into with other tradespeople during this small renovation, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful for such a terrific experience with Bay Ridge Carpet!
