Stayed in Baymont for a week due to an emergency. I had the pleasure of Michael who helped me make last minute reservations. He even helped me to my room. The hotel is clean, modern, and the staff are kind and friendly. I absolutely enjoyed my stay, would definately book again.
Hotel is supposed to be non- smoking. 2nd floor reeked of pot as did our room, tried to eliminate it with heavy spray of febreeze, had to switch hotels as the smoke and odor gave us headaches. Staff while they processed our cancelation promptly they were unconcerned and uninterested as this type of cancelation occurs a lot
Positive: Very clean hotel and rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Negative: The rooms facing the road are loud in the early morning due to the trucks. Our air unit did not work; the temperature/air flow didnt change no matter what we set it to. We had some very loud (and angry?) neighbors, which you could hear pretty clearly.
I have called 3 separate times to make a reservation for a wedding that i am attending and have not been able to do so. First the person who answered could not find the block that the wedding party reserved and now i called at 8pm another day and they are telling me to call back because they are checking people in and was told the time to make a reservation is in the morning time. I do not understand why it is impossible to make a reservation!!!
Positive: Staff member at check in was on a personal phone call and talking to me at the same time? Very unprofessional and i could barely hear her over the ridiculously loud music coming from their party room or space? Negative: Room window was open upon arrival. Room reeked of cigarettes! Was given another room because nothing else was available and that room smelled like dirty mop water. Carpet was not cleaned with crumbs on floor. Loud music in lobby check in- party upstairs?
Posting this review to hopefully help other guests out, incase they run into a similar problem. I made my reservation on 4/25/2022, through the Wyndham app for a LaQuinta at this address on 8/27/2022.I have booked hotels on this app numerous times, I know how to use it. I logged on today to check my reservation for August 2022, I noticed that the reservation was no longer for a La Quinta at this address, but for a Baymont. I checked to see if Baymont is pet friendly and they are not, which is a problem since I am traveling with my dog. I tried to cancel the reservation on the app and also on my desktop, but no luck. Next step, I called La Quintas horrid customer call center in India (or somewhere abroad) and the people working there were useless and RUDE. Honestly, these call centers make me want to avoid a business that utilizes them. Supposedly my reservation is now cancelled after spending 75 minutes on the phone with La Quinta (after 3 different calls), but it is still showing up on my Wyndham app. Initially, the various rude employees at the Wyndham call center told me I had no reservation for this hotel, yet it still shows on my app!! I asked to speak to a supervisor and was disconnected. Additionally, I have written to corporate via e-mail and physical mail. What is more concerning is Wyndham is not returning my 6,000 reward points that I need to use to make a different reservation at another hotel. Be careful booking here and Id encourage Wyndham to review some of the recordings of these phone calls to hear how horrific the customer service is.
Positive: I liked that there was a couch and a table in the room along with the bed and that the TV swiveled and there was a little tiny coffee maker in there and downstairs in the lobby there was coffee and tea all night that was nice Negative: The carpets could¿ve used a really good carpet clean, you could see where people had spilled coffee and soda and such, a fan for the bathroom to take out the moisture also would¿ve been nice, but it wouldn¿t stop me from staying there again. I wa
We stayed for 1 week. This is a great hotel with good staff. Property is beautiful, well maintained and clean. Breakfast does need a meat option, like sausage or bacon. And yes the hotel does have a slight weed order upon entry. Guests go and smoke in their car and they come back with a trail of odor. Its not serious. Hotels cant control the odors of people that smoke off of the property. Weed isnt serious.
Location and price was OK. Room was acceptable. Main problem was the breakfast. No selection other than bagels, cereal, or waffle. Very disappointing, as Im accustomed to a selection of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, etc. Other disappointment was that there was no luggage cart to carry luggage and clothing from car to room upon arrival. In fair disclosure, one appeared in the hall when I departed. Im handicapped, so yes, its a big deal.
Decent hotelIt’s just they used to have good breakfast and now they’re completely lazyBreakfast consists of stale hard bread and stale hard bagelsA boiled egg 🥚Sad because they used to have a mini buffetBiscuits and gravyScrambled Eggs sausage baconEverythingWhat they have now is atrocious
I originally booked 1 night for my wife the kids and Ito escape the inner city hustle and bustle. That one day wads transformed by a night with your excellent Manager by the name of Johnathan. not only was he well versed in the hotel experience but he also knew info of the area to maximize our stay. Because of him I extended my stay by booking another day. He is a very hardworking individual and very well mannered. I hope he is here more years to come I will make sure to come here more often is his banter and wit are impeccable.
Positive: The location and the price. Hotel is generally clean and staff were pleasant. Nothing fancy but acceptable. Negative: Hotel needs some updating. Cracks in bathroom doors and fans in the bathroom would be improvements. No one came to make up the room until after 3:30 even though we were out all day.
I originally booked 1 night for my wife the kids and Ito escape the inner city hustle and bustle. That one day wads transformed by a night with your excellent concierge by the name of Carlos R. not only was he well versed in the hotel experience but he also knew info of the area to maximize our stay. I booked online and did not know what to expect even after reading many reviews. We came got our room , AC was broken Lacreasha quickly gave me another room. I was also helped greatly by Valdini and Beverly. From the check in to getting our room it was a very easy process. The staff are all kind and willing to help . That says a lot for the Leadership if the General Manager Mr. Micheal Scott. I saw this gentleman raise his sleeves and wipe the counters. The rooms were always very clean and in top shape , thank you to all the cleaning people. Continental breakfast includes, homemade waffles , boiled eggs, bagels, English muffins, cereal , juices , coffee, yogurt . I loved the service . There is a fitness room as well as a pool, if you need a meeting room it’s a great place to have it in . I really enjoyed my stay here
Manager Dahlia and Supervisor Jonathan are absolutely amazing and accommodating. I’ve been staying there several days each week for the last 4 months because I work nearby. The hotel is extremely clean, great breakfast, perfect fitness room, and overall comfortable stay. Jonathan’s friendly and humorous personality has me looking forward to coming back!
Unacceptable smoke smell through the halls and in the rooms. Absolutely comical this is listed as 100% smoke free. I cannot believe that these reviews aren’t littered with similar complaints. This is not a faint whiff of some past guest pre-renovation that smoked one time, this is like the cleaning staff used cigarette buttes to clean the carpet then tucked them into the pillows. It’s somehow humid even with the a/c on, the bathroom door doesn’t close right, the gaps in the door to the hallways is letting a bunch of light in and hallway noise in from other guests.Overall abysmal and disgusting, do not believe these positive reviews, there is no way most people are happy with this place. Never again will I test my fate with this hotel chain.
Smell of weed and smoke throughout corridors. Room was updated but somehow didnt give the most clean feeling, but if you just need a bed for the night, you can make do. Breakfast was disappointing - boiled eggs were cold as if they were probably a day old and taken out from the fridge, the whole wheat English muffin had a stale smell and bad taste - not sure if it was old or poor quality. Would not stay again.
Hotel has been clean on my two stays when I have moved my Son into College. Its conveniently located near White Plains for shopping needs & near the school. Also not a far drive & train commute into the city, just busy as expected! Breakfast was limited due to Covid but still able to get bagels, make waffles, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal available along with coffees.
Plusses: clean room, plenty of electrical outlets for charging our devices, quiet even though the room was next to the elevator.Minuses: where to begin... We booked 2 queen beds but were given a room with one king. There was no toilet paper, and when we called the desk we were told we had to come down to the desk and get it ourselves. Another guest came into our room using a key card that was programmed for our door--it seems that they had assigned him our room even though we were already occupying it. In the middle of our stay our key cards stopped working and we had to come down to the desk and get them reprogrammed. The breakfast bar in the lobby was exceedingly meager. Even though our room was prepaid, they ran off a $50 security deposit on our credit card at check-in.
Positive: The cleanliness was good. Negative: Front counter staff need more training with regards to customer service. The clerk that checked us in was rude and it appeared as though we were an interruption in her day. Lots of noise in the halls with children running in and out of their room.
Very comfortable, clean, spacious, and peaceful. Loved that it had a pool! Front desk was a bit dry at first but they warmed up quickly (I keep in mind that I checked in at 3AM). The staff was welcoming, friendly, polite, and helpful. The free breakfast was really, specially those waffles! Id stay here again. I loved the bathroom! So brand new!
The hotel personnel was great. The hotel room was clean the only issue Was their thin walls. Person next door was extremely loud durning their “intimate” moment...this wasn’t the problem...problem was how much my room reeked of cigarette smell that came from the from the connecting door!!! So much for the hotels non smoking policy!!! Makes me wonder if their smoke detectors are actually functional. And why am I paying extra for this policy that no one else follow. If I didn’t mind I would’ve gone to a hole in the wall motel.
It was nice to unplug and get out of the house for a night. The front desk staff are very personable, informative and polite! The room was nice and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The only reason Im not giving five stars is because of the noise. I was sleeping in late and heard slamming of other room doors, at times loud talking in the hallway and bumping around from the room next door or above.
The outside is deceiving however the inside is beautiful. The staff were pleasant and made check-in easy both times that Ive stayed. The rooms were updated and a good size. Breakfast was good and the dining are is very nice. The indoor pool is a very good size and it was nice. The hotel has nice atmosphere. Down the road you have few places to eat like Taco Bell and a delicious Peruvian restaurant. Further down theres a town. I enjoyed my stays both times.
1- Gentleman at check-in finished with guest ahead of us, then looked at us blankly: no welcome, no “next”, no smile. Just apathy. An inauspicious start to any hotel stay and too easy to get right to fail at.2- Room 122 smelled like smoke. Hotel was completely booked, no other accommodations were available.3- The room was put together and neat, but under the surface it was just tired. Desk lamp was broken, plastic shade portion just sitting there. Remote for TV did not work. No safe in room. No sign for cleaning/do not disturb. Washable AC filter was filthy.4- we stayed 2 nights: midday on day 2, NO HOT WATER. Called front desk 305PM on 4/25/21, *no answer there. Called back a few minutes later to report no HW, and woman who working the desk told me, “yes we know, someone here is working on it.” A heads-up would have been appreciated instead of leaving it to the guest to find out. HW was turned back on exactly 1 hour later.5-Neither towels nor coffee station was replenished on Day 2. The cleaning lady in the hall told us they don’t make bed, nor tend to the rooms everyday (since we were staying a second night, they did not come by). We finally caught her in the hall and got a couple new towlee
Speaking with Beverly at the front desk she has an accent. She was VERY nasty!! Put me on hold twice and kept me on hold for over 15 minutes both times before I had to to hang up. I was simply trying to get some information from her in regards to a best time to call for the GM to get availability about the ball room which I have been doing for the last 3 days and at no time had she said she was coming a specific time she just kept telling me she was not there. Not until I began to ask her to be more specific did she then get annoyed. That is when she told me that she cannot give me a time because the GM only comes in for Emergencies and that I need to understand that things happen and things change and said to me in a very facetious way You do understand things happen dont you she began raising her voice, at that point I asked for her name she gave it to me and said Beverly then put me on hold again. I was on hold another 10 minutes called from another number she answered I asked for the GM Name she told me Dalia Johnson and then I asked for her last name in a very nasty tone she stated that she does not give out her last name.I am calling from out of state and was very intrigued by the renovations of your ballroom. I was interested in having my parents 50th wedding Anniversary Dinner there and now I am completely turned off by the service and this nasty womens attitude simply because I wanted a little more clarity. It is quite sad that you have someone like this representing your company I am extremely disappointed. I am originally from White Plains/ Elmsford area and I have stayed there many times on my visits. I will be sure to let my friends and family know of this horrible experience with Ms. Beverly!!! and the representation she has given this company
This hotel is worst place to stay. Every room I was changed, was smells like Marijuana. The hallway smells like Marijuana and I need to move to different rooms. People were fighting outside the rooms and in the parking lot. The front desk girl was rude and nasty, she didnt want to help my request. I need a check out folio
The manager, Dalia, is a gem... a very wise and considerate person. I had a conflict last time I stayed here and she called me to resolve the situation. She is an excellent communicator and I was very pleased to stay again because of her. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good for a free buffet. The staff here has been pleasant both times that Ive stayed this Autumn.
Great breakfast, pool, comfortable bed and accommodations. Delicious breakfast.A little confusing layout, but set up perfectly for conferences. To get to breakfast you have to go down to the Ground Floor and then walk through the conference area to go down another level for breakfast. Not a big deal, just takes some getting used to.But very good overall.
Do not be fooled by the photos, this is not a nice place. I would rather sleep in the dunkin donuts bathroom across the street than in this hotel. Went to check in, guy was not wearing a mask and two other employees were also not wearing masks. I get it, its tough to wear it all day but dont use it as a tissue and put in your back pocket. I must of said my name three times before the man in concierge finally put his cell phone down to actually pay attention to me. I was then given a paper to fill out and sign that was just put in front of me as if I am some dog and was told are you going to fill it out? All my information and room requested were all incorrect. When I advised my address was wrong I was responded with no your good it doesnt matter. So why do I have to verify my information and sign a paper? The kicker was I reserved a King size bed and the paper stated queen size. When I brought this to his attention the answer was your getting what your getting What does that even mean? I asked for clarification and was given the same answer again .Thats when I lost it and walked out. Five cleaning crew personnel were in the lobby on their phones with no masks on as if were are not in the middle of a pandemic. I recommend staying at the dunkin donuts bathroom across the street with piss stains on the floor, at least you know what your expecting.
Recently I stayed at the hotel and as Im looking for my sons belonging, the was pizza crust underneath the bed which tells me that room was not thoroughly cleaned. I reported it to the front desk and I was just given a nod and an okay. They really need to get on their job n make sure rooms are cleaned. Its a pandemic. My son held the pizza crust n tried to eat it. How disgusting
The lobby was nice, the housekeeping was exceptional, the eggs are horrific, but the rest of the breakfast is great, however, we had black mold on our windowsills and water leaking into the window...health hazard. THe pool water was very cold. not a heated pool, though it was indoors. The staff was great, the first floor occupants very noisy though.
The hotel itself was nice enough. Clean rooms, good breakfast. The location, on the other hand, was less ideal. Right at an intersection with traffic lights that were out of order, on a very busy road. If you have some reason to be in that area it would be a comfortable place to stay, but make sure your insurance is paid up if you have to go anywhere.
I have been coming here the past few years because of my dads failing health. Of course, they dont know this. So my review is not based on vacation but of need. The staff is exceptional. Even during these tough times with covid they are a wonderful group of individuals making guests comfortable and stress free. When my dad passes, I do believe I will miss everyone here who has been lovely and accommodating during this difficult time in our lives.Thank you everyone.
A must read.... My sister checks in and was moved three times. First room the television doesn’t work. Second room smelled like heavy cigarettes. Third room smelled like mold, heat and air conditioner didn’t work. So, we finally think we settled in. We get a random knock mid afternoon to get to the door no one there. This person slides a note under the door to text or call him because he is visiting from Boston and looking for a good time. We let the front desk know. Later we took the note to the front desk. When my sister returned with my son. As soon as she walks in the phone rings. It’s the person in question asking if we called him. We asked what room he was calling us from. My sister tells him not to calls us, her boyfriend is on his way. We recorded the conversation and let the front desk know what happened. We also called the police. The police arrived did what they could which wasn’t much because the call could not be traced. We did not stay another night. The front desk stated the cameras could not looked at until the manager was in the next morning. In discussions with the officers this was not the first occurrence of this nature at this hotel. The hotel is understaffed, very minimal security. We booked another hotel and left. Safety should never be a concern.
Over all not bad . Heater in room was loud. Every time it would kick on would wake us all. Walls were thin could hear conversation people room next to us . Pool was cold life guard was wearing a sweater. . Breakfast wasnt bad its free cant complain. Staff was great rooms were clean . Just back door 2 trash barrels overflowed the whole weekend never touched.
Stayed there recently for the night. Room was very clean, comfortable, and affordable. Probably one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Breakfast was ok, much better than the usual continental breakfast, and the pool and gym were also decent . Staff was nice. Took one star off for the paper-thin walls . You can literally hear everything that happens in all the rooms around you, as well as in the hall...we unfortunately were next to a man who felt the need to listen to, and sing, loud country music before he checked out at 6am.
This is a classic case of you get what you paid for. Let’s start with the good - convenient location to Tarrytown / Sleepy Hollow and relatively inexpensive. Now with the bad. If you like a quiet and relaxing hotel, this hotel is not for you. Noise level might be high at all time of the day and night. Front desk might not give you the room you reserved and might tell you that’s the only room available right now. Lastly, your credit card might have charges you dont recognize and might take long to fix, if you the patience to call your cc company and/or the hotel.
Very nice & clean hotel! Excellent staff! I was checked in by Melina, who made sure all our needs were met! And I had an medical emergency, and a young gentleman named Dywane made sure we were ok! I met Beverly, and a tall gentleman who checked us out, and totally welcome us to come back!
Kinda sketchy. But i slept well. The fact that there is NOT a do not disturb sign really bothers me. I also saw what looks like blood on the bottom shelf in the bathroom. Obviously that is not ok. Its fine for a quick nap during a 3 day storm though sooooooo......🤷🏻♀️ And it seems like most of the reviews arent so bad so this might just be an anomaly.
The woman doing at the front desk was very rude, and kept pulling her mask off to talk to us. We booked a hotel room online, and then were told at the hotel that we needed to be 21 in order to book a room. Nowhere on their website did it say this. While I understand this is a policy, and most hotels have the same policy, there should have been a disclaimer. I also think that if the woman at the front desk kept taking off her mask, what would the other hotel staff be like?
I needed to travel to the area for cancer treatments for my dog. It is 3 hours from home and I got stuck in a snowstorm while there. I called around and found they are the ONLY place in the area that still accepts pets. They got me in a room on the first floor, to accommodate my situation. There were not any signs that it was a pet friendly hotel. The room was immaculate. After about 30 minutes of getting situated in my room, the front desk clerk, who checked me in called. She asked if everything was to my satisfaction and reminded me there was someone at the front desk all night and to call if I needed anything.I was impressed with the level of service and the quality of the room, especially considering they allow pets.It is my hope that they continue the pet policy for people like me, that had no other options. And for those that do not have a pet, I do not think you would ever be aware that they are allowed. Honestly, I think my dog was only one of two staying that night. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to the fact that it is a budget hotel. If I was rating it purely on service, I would have gladly given it a 5.
Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.. Room is very neat and clean.. Good place to stay and calm atmosphere. had stayed for 4 weeks without any issue. plus theres a church (peoples church new york) which happens every Sunday at the 1st floor ball room.. no need to go anywhere else for church on Sunday morning.Theres no Laundry facility for the guests and that the only thing which i missed during my stay.
The hotel was very nice for what we needed. My father was at the medical center and they give a discounted rate for family members, which was awesome! Staff was very helpful, and beds were very comfortable. Room was clean and shower was hot. No frills, but definitely no complaints. We also very much enjoyed the continental breakfast. All in all worth the money.
The hotel staff are great. Cathy, especially, was very helpful to me. As for the layout of the place, it is quite confusing. It took me almost 10 minutes to find my room! And the rooms are pretty old. Bathrooms definitely need updating. All in all, I wouldnt mind staying here again. The beds are comfy, and thats what you want in a hotel room...right?
We stayed at the White Plains LaQuinta for one night and enjoyed both the room and the hospitality. The room was spacious and smelled good. We were also able to leave our luggage at the front desk the next day as we wouldnt be back to the location until after check out. So that was very nice. Only downsides were a lack of outlets next to the bed (to charge phones) and there wasnt any food or gas stations in close proximity to walk to. But besides that, we had a great experience.
Super friendly desk staff. Comfortable beds. Decent pillows, very rare in a hotel. Clean room, super outdated. The breakfast was a bad joke! Definitely not what we have found at most LA Quinta. The halls were absolutely Filthy! Seems like they dont own a single vacume! Nice big, clean pool. But didnt see it open in two and a half days. Decent place that needs work. Still, way better than the Extended Stay we ran from! Thanks for helping us out Tatiana!!
I was highly disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It seemed more like a shelter Bryan a hotel. There were kids running around screaming and yelling in the hallway til almost 2am. There was also some sort of dispute or altercation between other guests that ended up with the police being called to the hotel. It was extremely annoying and frustrating. This place had great potential but it was ruined by their unruly guest and lack of control over their kids.
First off weed is good for you 😆😆😆 and second with the pool being closed I canceled, other hotels are still keeping their pools open all they ask is to make reservations ahead of time to limit the amount allowed during these times. Would’ve liked to stay there ...oh well.
So I have to get it a 5 star check in was smooth the room is spacious it’s a King Size with a sofa bed. Will be staying here again come the summer of 2020. Refrigerator & microwave in room. Hot water for your shower. Parking can get full but it cool. It’s 45 minutes to the City and 30 minutes to the Bronx.
I was there for a engagement party. The party room was nice and clean. Took a look at the pool. They had an on duty lifeguard which was nice but the pool wasnt too impressive. Excercise room was nice. The bathrooms wasnt as clean as I would of expected and some of the ceiling tiles had water marks. Bunch of paper towels was on the floor.
On this particular stay, the facility was overwhelmed with visitors for a special event. The parking lot was filled with vehicles of people not using the rooms. There is a single bridge providing access to all the rooms. This bridge was blocked by the crowd attending the special event in the great room, making it difficult to get in and out of the building. The bathroom was fairly disgusting and we ended up buying cleansing wipes to clean the toilet before we could use it. They have a complimentary breakfast, which was very nice.
I usually stay in LaQuinta hotels because they are well maintained and accept animals. The breakfast is usually great and most are recently renovated. I was disappointed in this particular location. The staff was not friendly at all. At check in I wasnt even greeted when I said hello, I was passed the check-in form across the counter without a word. On checkout I said good morning and again not a word was said from the staff like hope you had a nice stay or even a good morning. The breakfast area was extremely cramped and the food was laid out in a manner that caused traffic jams among guests trying to make things and grab things. The rooms were recently renovated and clean... I was just disappointed in the lack of friendly staff and the awkward breakfast area.
So. I was super weary of staying here bc some of the reviews say it smells and it’s not nice. I get skeeved out easily. Especially with hotels. This place is amazing. The rooms are spotless, doesn’t smell, I was extra weary because we had our daughter with us! This place is amazing, the rooms are adorable, all redone, the bathroom is spotless and super chic and trendy. Overall, you should stay here. You can’t beat the price and the staff is really sweet also
My Gson and I spent 3 nights at La Quinta in Elmsford. I wanted access to a pool and they a nice indoor one. The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated and good breakfast buffet. Thanks to Melina and Beverly for making our stay comfortable. Hope to come back in the summer. Nancy O
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was very recently refinished and nicely updated. Comfortable and clean. Assuming still a work in progress for the rest of the building. The elevators were in pretty bad shape and smelt like urine. There was an abandoned/vandalzied SUV parked in the back that was unsightly
Stayed here while visiting Manhattanville College (about 15min away). I got there late, took a few moments of waiting at the front desk for someone to come & check me in. But other than that, cant really complain too much. The gentlemen was friendly and check in went fairly quick. He pointed out the best place for me to park to unload. The room was clean and everything looked good. I had to leave early so I didnt get time to explore much of the hotel but what I saw was clean, well light... No qualms staying there again if Im ever back in the neighborhood.
Very quiet and comfortable place. The rug in the breakfast area needs to be cleaned. Maybe the people there were just slobs today. It was a very nice place. A couple of miles down the road is the BEST Japanese restaurant that I have been to in the States. I went to Japan last year and th is restaurant was of Japanese caliber. Try it out . They even have Sapporo beer on tap.
Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Desperately needed sleep due to my dad being at Valhalla in the critical care unit. Loud people throughout the night, reeks of marijuana. No noise management or restrictions. Listened to some chick moan like a whale for 6 hours. You’re better off sleeping in the lobby at the hospital. This place is a joke.
3Ss SPOTLESS,SPACIOUS,SERENE. I am an avid traveler and every time I go up north I choose to stay at this la quinta,. The GM is always AVAILABLE, as well as friendly. As is the staff. Breakfast is a nice variety and coffee is a 24hr staple here, I strongly recommend this to single travelers and families alike. Sincerely J.Brunco
This hotel is very outdated. The carpets are filthy both in the rooms and the hallways. Stains everywhere on the carpets and the chair in the room. The room has a perfumed smell which made my lips and tongue tingle and burn. The person at the counter did move us to another room. The smell was better, but still stains all over carpet. I would not walk on the carpet with bare feet. We have stayed here in the past, but, will not again since the hotel is not being kept up and cleaned.
I was quite disappointed in my stay with my family. In my room, the heat worked sporadically. Called front desk, had the clerk came by to look at the unit and his advice was to keep resetting by turning on and off. Additionally, the hotel states that it is a 100% smoke free hotel, but the 2nd floor of the hotel on the end of my hallway reeked of marijuana at various times throughout the day. I don’t smoke cigarettes or anything else. At checkout, there was no one at the desk. We waited about 15 minutes before the clerk came back. Not a great experience for me at all.
I only attended a business event here in the second floor ballroom. The hotel seems mid-priced. Reasonably clean & in a safe area. There are always trucks & freight trailers parked in the lot which take up most of the good spots. Its probably okay for a quick overnight if youre traveling to see a client.
I had reserved two rooms through Expedia with la Quinta however when we arrived they said only one was reserved. After waiting for them to call Expedia and explain the issue they decided to honor my reservation. Thank goodness they had a room available.Im pregnant and need to go to bed early. Me and my husband got back at almost 9 pm so I was exhausted. When we reached our floor there was a dog barking without pause. From 9 pm to at least 10:30 the dog barked continuous. I called the desk immediately to ask if dogs were allowed to stay there. They said yes and that they would look into it. Unfortunately the guest was probably not there and had left the dog there alone. I had ear plugs but they are uncomfortable and also kept me from sleeping. I did eventually fall asleep and when I awoke to use the bathroom at 1 am the dog was no longer barking. My friends who were given a room on a separate floor because of the reservation problem said they could also hear the dog barking on their floor.Breakfast was free but good luck finding a place to sit there were way more tables than chairs and the space was not enough to accommodate the guests that were there. Also they were not keeping the food in stock i had to ask for forks and another person had to ask for orange juice which was out along with the cranberry juice.Overall we enjoyed our visit to the area but I felt like I was staying in a mediocre motel. Not a hotel.
I am working as Security detail for the 5th Annual psychic fair New York. Overall not a bad experience. Rooms are nice and clean. Cant say the same for the hotel staff. They dont lissen to customers about there complaints, they couldnt be bothered. Trash barrels are overflowing, meanwhile staff just walk by.
Not a good experience. First room we were put in, the hallway was flooded with the smell of cigarette smoke - asked to be moved. Girl at the front desk was nice and moved us to another floor however, there ended up being a very loud party going on in the room upstairs (went up to find out party was in 3 different rooms) - had to complain 3 times to the front desk until noise finally stopped at 11:30pm. Elevator was very small and dirty and carpets in the back entry-way (where they want all guests to park their cars) was VERY dirty. Front desk staff were a little rough around the edges however very nice. This hotel seems to be a party spot for the locals. Would not recommend it and will never stay here again.
Busy Hotel. Parking at times is difficult for larger vehicles. Affordable price. Rooms are clean. Strong pressure and plenty of hot water in shower. A/C in room is ice cold. Indoor pool. Continental breakfast has more choices than you would expect, eggs, bacon, sausauge, fresh waffles, muffins, yogurt, coffee, juices, bagels and more. Nice seating area for breakfast.
This had to be the worst hotel I have ever booked and stayed in. When completing my reservation online I requested that we would pay with cash upon checking in. When we arrived no one was at the desk so we sat on the couches until she came out. We asked her where the bathroom was and she ignored us twice. While we stood at the front desk to check in I was asked for my credit card that I register online. I told her that we would be paying with cash and she stated that we still had to submit another credit card. My boyfriend gave her his credit card and she stated that he would be charged and not me for the room rate.I asked her to please make sure that our credit card was only charged once and she stated that it was. The next day upon checking out I ask for a receipt. When checking both of our bank accounts it stated that my credit card has been charged once and his credit card has been charged twice. I went back into the hotel to tell her that there have been some type of mistake. The receipt that she gave us did not match our credit accounts. When I informed her of this she insisted for over 10 minutes that I was mistaken and that she did not make any mistakes. We both called are banks while standing at the front desk and allowed her to speak to the representative on the phone she then printed another receipt that showed she had made a mistake three times on both of our credit cards. Not once did she apologize she just said she would fix it. I will never stay here again. Not to mention the half clean bed sheets and half eaten candy bars we found under the bed. Dont use the towels or rags in fear of the pubic hairs we found on them. This hotel and person needs a lesson on customer service!
Disgusting. Had to stay here for a family funeral and entered my “smoke den” of a room to find hair on the floor and walls, pubes in the shower, make up (I’m hoping) stains e v e r y w h e r e. Not sure if they pay their cleaning staff enough to care but guessing not. I always will give credit where credit is due, so with that- the bathroom mirror design was cool. Other than that, I’ll be showering in acid when I get home to feel clean again. And burning all my clothes that smell like scrumptiously delicious nicotine and whatever else died here. Traveler beware, opium den enthusiasts rejoice!
We stayed last night. I was turned off by the past reviews, but after researching we ended up here. Every employee was tentative and caring. The room was in wonderful condition, the beds very comfortable and a wonderful breakfast this morning! Would absolutely stay again, and would recommend this location to others. Very close to Westchester Medical Center
If you want quiet, this is not the hotel you want. When we checked in tonight, there was a loud party in the lobby. We made sure that we got a room away from that party, but the noise didnt stop there. On our floor, the parties continued in the hall and in other rooms and I had to call the front desk three times to get the noise to stop. We will never stay here again. Well go back to La Quinta, in Stamford-CT, where peace and quiet is honored and respected and rowdy noise is not tolerated.
Location for work was ideal; otherwise, you *got* to drive everywhere you want to go -- food, shopping -- nothing nearby within walking distance. This is a step up from a budget hotel, barely. The rooms, in general, have been okay -- clean enough, everything works , but no upper-scale amenities -- coffee maker is a one cup piece of *****, the only time the refrigerator had a freezer was in a room w/ 2 double beds; TV itself is nice, the selection of stations is below average. The furniture is cheap, and not in great shape. Same with the irons & ironing boards. Bathrooms are small (unless you accidentally get a handicapped-accessible room, but then theres no place to put things next to the sink). Oh, and book early, as the closer it is to the first day you want to stay, the higher the cost. The continental breakfast is a joke, unless you like DIY waffles, cold muffins, tiny apples&oranges, hard-boiled eggs and the like. All in all, not the most pleasant 6 weeks of my life.
The room was new looking, well decorated, and very clean. My only criticisms are the very firm bed and the very slow computer in the lobby. We had forgotten to print tickets for an event we were attending and the computer would only load Gmail if we ran in in basic html mode. Update that computer!
The room and bathroom were clean however, this hotel is LOUD. You can hear every single thing from the rooms on either side and across the hall. You expect to hear some noises in a hotel but this was ridiculous! So if you are a very sound sleeper than you’ll be fine but if not, bring earplugs or a white noise machine.
Okay. So I travel a lot for work - maybe 40 out of the 52 weeks in a year. And its important to me that a hotel meets a minimum level of comfort, because constructing a sort of mobile domestic environment helps make that time away from home not so difficult. This hotel did not meet that level of comfort. I mean, it was what one would expect for an approximately $140 a night hotel within that proximity radius to New York City. However, this in no way reflects poorly on the staff, who were to a person the textbook example of efficient and courteous.
BEAUTIFUL HOTEL!!! The staff is pleasantThe breakfast is BOMB 💣biscuits and gravy?!Bacon 🥓?French toast sticksFruit toppingsWafflesEggsYogurtMuffinsOatmealOmgIndoor pool 🏊🏽♀️I never wanted to go here because of the name it seemed bootlegBut it’s up there with the Hampton innEasily
My boyfriend and I visited La Quinta Inn In Elnsford on August 26. We received a warm welcome from Miss Beverly at the front desk, she was very pleasant, great spirit and made us feel welcomed. First impression is truly the last and she made a really great first impression. I will certainly visit again hoping to see Miss Beverly.
We were just passing through on a road trip and needed to use the bathroom. Employees were fine, but the hotel itself was not very clean and set up very strangely. Children were running around through the hallways and the bathroom was on the third floor, which was weird.
Stayed 4 nights a mile away from the hospital to be near my son. First night 129.00, second night 145.00. Third and fourth night 165.00. Same exact rooms. Hmm. Claims to be 100% smoke free. First floor reaked of marijuana and cigarettes. One night the sheets, were stained. One night had to park very far because there was some kind of event until 10pm. Parking shouldve been reserved for patrons staying. Otherwise, convenient for me to get to hospital. It wasnt horrible, but couldve been a little more organized and professional.
Doing construction was a little annoying as you cant use the elevator to go to 3rd floor , person across the hall had a dog that did nothing but bark ALL night and day long ! So much for getting sleep here!! I checked the website and pets were NOT allowed at this one but front desk said it was ok ????? Im sure I wasnt only one who was not happy hearing this all day n night! Will not be returning to any la quintas ever again ! Oh also the breakfast room was so small that only like 10 people could be in there at one time!! 😡😡😡😡
The accommodations were excellent. The damper on our stay was not being allowed to eat breakfast in the dining room. Not service dog friendly. We were there to walk the relay for Carry the Load. We were told it’s a hygiene issue for a dog to be in the dining room. Disappointing.
First was greeted to hair on toilet, swiped finger on toilet tank lid and left trail in the dust, hadnt been cleaned in I dont know how long. Wash cloth on sink had black smudge on it. Checked bed, there was imprint of previous customers, sheets may have been clean, not sure. Padding under sheet was crumpled as last customer left it. Everything in room was of cheapest quality, dressers; peeling particle board, understand oak cabinets are not cost effective but KMart quality? Nice choice of carpet, camouflaged all the dirt stains, it was filthy. The desk chair was broken and there was ashes on desk. Took pictures of all the dirt on hallway floors and elevators. There was clumps of mud everywhere from construction workers staying there. I tried to turn on heater, thermostat on wall was dead. Tried 3 times over 10 minutes to contact front desk, they answered after I called in from outside line. The woman informed me that the thing the heater is plugged into may be tripped and I should try resetting it. {Overload protector} I did reset surge protector, it shut off shortly after heater ran. If I wasnt so tired I would have left. In general, the entire place was completely filthy everywhere, instructed my company to never use LaQuinta again. Will be contacting their corporate office and relaying issues and pictures.
Never again. Its a 0 star!!! We travel all over the world and love our stays. Skip this hotel. There is a lovely Comfort Inn just down the street where nice people work. My husband and I didnt even make it through the check in process before having to cancel the room. We booked and paid in full a month in advance no less. We had requested at the time of booking early check in and assured it was no issue. The day of our reservation we even called to verify and were told a room would be ready & waiting by noon. We arrive and are rudely told there are no rooms available until 3 we explained the pre arrangement and were told to just go wait at the Applebees 2 miles away. No problem we do that. We were still trying to not let is spoil our plans at that point. Long story short we never get a call and now adyer 2:30 still no room. Then Wendy who had been trying to help and appeared caught off guard by her managers behavior, says our double bed will be ready in 15 min or so (our reservation was for king at 1pm moved up to noon), but, she tried to help and was polite. However, Christopher Cole should be fired. He was hostile and rude. He has zero customer service skills and escalated the situation beyond repair rather than simply apologize and do the right thing. If Laquinta believes this joker is management material you have bigger problems then your reviews. He just wanted to argue and act like a diva spoiled child. It was sad to watch a person in a management position who is supposed to be a professional conduct himself in such a manner. Even more childish he wrote on our refund receipt that it was our fault for the cancelation because we didnt want to wait lol imagine? I guess he needed to have the last word if only it were that simple. If he only knew the long term plans we actually had planned ahead for that he screwed up with his incompetence and pettyness. He is an embarrassment to wonderful Laquintas all over. The hotel looked fine to us except for his behavior and the construction, paving and closures but, upon walking out with other guest they told us to run it was in disrepair and dirty with bed bugs and they were leaving after calling his boss. I guess his exceptionally appalling attitude did us a favor. We booked down the street on the spot with zero issues. Dont waste your money or more importantly your time on this dump with zero customer service! We have also stayed at the Westchester Marriott and highly recommend. Happy and safe travels all :)
Love LaQuinta for their consistently good, clean rooms and generous pet policy. This propertys rooms were very clean and updated, although the bathroom showed signs of age. In-room micro-fridge, coffee. So if youre coming for a good nights sleep you wont be disappointed. What will disappoint you is the breakfast. Only protein is boiled eggs. Coffee from a machine-not brewed. Peach yogurt and apples fulfill the fruit category. Otherwise, waffle makers and every conceivable carb known to man.Indoor pool is open 2-7 PM. What? Useless! No time for a workout. Didnt use/view gym.
Unfortunately I awoke with bedbug bites on my arms. Likely from the extra blanket I ordered. Staff did exactly as I requested, laundered the sheets and blankets in hot water and I didnt have an issue the second night. The staff was very concerned and helpful. My stay was also reimbursed.
I would advise to stay away from this establishment. Some of the staff at the front desk was very unprofessional. The head of house keeping iwas equally as rude and lied about someone smoking in the room that was rented for the night. I advised them that not only where they wrong, But that I don’t even smoke so how would that be possible. A woman named Kim came to the front desk and cliamed to have “photos” to prove her accusations. She refused to show me said photos and preceded to call the police telling them I was threatening her and her staff. After speaking with the police they advised me that Kim had called and told them she could smell the sent of marijuana coming from the room and had pictures to prove it. I asked the officer if she had saw the said photos and she replied to me saying “ I saw the photos ,And I can’t see what she’s saying but this is a civil matter now so you’ll have to take it up with the Manager”. I feel this incident was all over the fact that the employees their are rude and I let them know I didn’t appreciate it. Once I told them how I felt that’s when her story about “smoking in the room” came about. It’s sad because some people are working long hours in places far away from there homes. upstanding service is crutial after a long day, I felt as if they where trying to run a scam on me and they didn’t expect me to stay there and wait for my deposit back. I said it before I didn’t smoke anything in their room nor did anyone else. They literally took my money without any valid reason and kept saying “that’s what you signed the paper for.”
Very clean rooms, friendly service, nice breakfast in the morning with waffle maker, boiled eggs, muffins, etc. Located very close to New York Medical College. Front desk located on different elevation from rooms so you have to use two elevators or drive around to room access. Not an issue but initially confusing. Would certainly recommend it.
Terrible experience. They didnt clean our room the second day and when asked for an explanation the excuse was that they clean the rooms every other they (which was a lie). Staff was kind before we checked in but that was all, any other interaction with them after that was unpleasant. And we had to get a new key multiple times due to it not working.
I made reservations and I confirmed it with them that I can check in even Im 20 years old.The manager even called me up directly and promised me it will not be an issue. And then when I walked in they didnt let me to check in.First she claimed that I throwed my ID card to her. Then she started to claim that I dont give her respect. She called up one of her managers and she said we are under age and disrespectful and we are laughing from her and we only want to pay in cash(what this was totally not true)She made sure with her supervisor not to except us.And when I showed her the phone that I have on record a call back from the manager she started to scream on us that shell call the cops. And when I asked her(the Black women from the front desk) for what ?she told us for being disrespectful.......😳😳😳what I have my 2 friends witness. She hated us from the beginning because we are JewishShe Handled us like dogs she trowed us out on the street. Then it took over an hour to find a other hotel 11:30 at night!!!So before youre thinking of making reservations take in mind that they disrespect people and theyll treat you like s***t.So if youre looking for a place with service THIS IS NOT THE PLACEGo 5-10 minutes away where you can find beautiful hotels for even cheaper.
Very personable when checking in... room, for the mist part, was clean. Received three courtesy calls at 445pm, 915pm and 1210am... woke us the last two times... why three??? Upon checking out stood at the front desk for ten minutes and finally called the hotel number which rang ten times before it was picked up... told the female who answered I was at the front desk to check out. She came out of the office behind the desk and I had obviously woke her up... no apolgies, just thanks for staying.
This has to be one of the worst hotels ever!!! BEWARE!!!! ALPOCHINO overcharged my card 4 TIMES 252.22, put my information on someones elses reservation & was extremely rude. The general manager DEHLIA left ALPOCHINO who had NO idea how to cancel or fix the issue she was speaking to him on the phone trying to give him directions (REALLY). I drove 6 1/2 hours away from home I called the cops because he wouldnt give me proper documentation stating it was cancelled. While sitting there with the police he checked a man into the hotel & he came back because he had checked him into a room while someone was already inside there sleeping. As of yet the company ITSELF! Are very unprofessional. I was on the phone for 2 hours with a Ms. Sarah from Wyndham customer service who was really nice but she did not put no notes or concerns on my acct. Mind you while all this is going I have 3 kids sitting in the car. Spoke with another agent from Wyndham who stated wyndham rules is they cannot do anything about it. Me and my kids did not find a place to stay until 2 more hours later which is now 11pm. THE DOUBLETREE HILTON WAS THE BEST.
I was looking for an affordable hotel not too far away from SUNY Purchase and I found the LA Quinta Inn Elmsford. The hotel is about a 15 min drive from the campus. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The free parking, free WiFi and free Continental breakfast were a definite plus. My only complaint was that the room did not have a mini fridge.
The hotel is beautiful even though it was under construction and was close to the hospital. Unfortunately, the Direct TV was terrible. There was a snow storm and most of the channels were out due to the weather. So I went to bed early 9:30. When I woke up at 5 a.m. there was only 1 channel working. Note to self ask what cable provider because Direct TV is awful in any type of storm.
Stayed from Sat7/14 to Mon 7/16.After returning to the room on Sun 7/15, trash in room was not emptied, used wet washcloth was left in bathroom, toilet seat was left up.On Mon.morning the breakfastarea had not been completely set -up by the opening time of 7 am. No paper plates were available, only bowls. No fruit or yogurt were out either. We had to find out from another guest on how to get from where the guest roomsare to the lobby area for breakfast is held.
Im particularly fond of this locale because of their pet friendly policy . I have a dog you see .They may still be doing a bit of remodeling, but my last stay there I hardly even noticed that construction work was being done . Breakfast got a major upgrade as well. I highly recommend.
This place is nasty. Stayed one night over, next day left itchy, red and swollen. Red and itchy on my back. Pretty sure I have more. They have bed bugs be careful where you sleep. Thought they were clean! Thought wrong. Not worth a night stay. God knows what else they carry! Feas are definitely something!
The staff is wonderful BRITTANY is wonderful she always so nice a pleasant as well as the other staff. Housekeeping is the best they are amazing at what they do specially Jennifer the lady with the dreads!!!!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, better service here in Elmsford New york then the one located in Armonk New York ..I feel the staff deserve a raise the go over and beyond for they guest!!!!!!
I will definitely come back. First off they did NOT charge an extra fee for my Golden Retriever that accompanied myself and my husband. We travel across the country multiple times during the year (NY, MO, NC, AZ, to name a few of our regular stops) and usually travel with our pets. Not only do we have to pay significantly more for having them with us, we are always placed in an older room (to put it nicely. But not here at LaQuinta. The room is very clean and looks to have been recently remodeled. Speaking of that our room is very well appointed: microwave, mini fridge, pull out sleeper couch, super comfy down alternative quilt to name a few. It also has USB ports all over the place as well as outlets too. Additionally I wish I had the bathroom mirror in my own home. The light borders the entire mirror and is built in to the back. It provides exceptional lighting for makeup application. The toilet is the tallest I have ever used. My husband is 62 so we have tall ones at home but theirs is actually taller. There is loads of table/counter space. Even the nightstand has twice the normal amount of counter space. They even have a little cube next to the bed which I suspect can be used to help little dogs step up into bed. And yes, the staff are all so very pleasant...even at 2am when we arrived. Thanks Jose. And thanks LaQuinta!!!
My room had some rough furniture but was at least clean. My biggest complaints are the pool and hot tub close at 5 pm. Its an indoor pool for crying out loud. The other complaint is that they have every ESPN channel, except ESPN. I dont get it at all. So if youre a sports guy or girl, there will be no Monday Night Football for you here.
I visited La Quinta Inn In Elmford White plains numerous times & I always received a warm welcome from Mrs Melina at the front Desk , She Down to earth very pleasant, great spirit and made me feel welcomed at all times First impression will make a good lasting impression & Mrs Melina Really Did That I will always book here hoping next time I get to meet her again 💯
WALLS ARE EXTREMELY THIN, could literally hear everything Happening in the next room (was woken up several times to headboard/bed squeaking banging, screaming at 4am, lasted for hours) only stayed here because we lost power with the storm. I mean you get what you get when you stay at a hotel I guess.
Excellent coffee, housekeeping was cussing loudly & threatening harm to an ex-wife on his cell. We were trapped in our room for 20 minutes before the manager came to verify. Luckily, we caught the housekeeper on video. The threats were angry enough we werent certain it was safe to exit.
Very hard-working and courteous staff that I couldnt thank enough for facilitating last minute accommodations for an out of town visitor and myself. Continental breakfast was icing on the cake; you can always buy me over with a free waffle and all the bacon I can shove in my mouth.
One of the worst hotel experiences ever. I make a reservation, get there, they have no record of the reservation. Staff is slow and dumb. Pool doesnt open til 2PM. They double charged my stay on my credit card. Was supposed to get airline credits for the stay there and it never happened.
Place is operated by incompetent people. They managed to screw up a 20+ room block made months in advance. 50 of us stood in the lobby at 11pm well the front desk offered no support. He just kept saying I dont even know what is going on right now. Meanwhile there was 5 cars in the parking lot and they somehow still couldnt accommodate us. Had to scramble and break the group up into multiple hotel in White Plains. Thanks La Quinta

2021-12-28Very nice friendly staff, rooms very clean and even during COVID times the cleaners will come daily if you want. Excellent fitness room, unusual for a hotel fitness room to have such good working equipment. Only problem was there was no towel bar in the bathroom and since we were staying over a week we needed a place to dry our towels, but they would bring clean towels daily if you want.Very good coffee and breakfast was fine.

2022-01-27This La Quinta is a fantastic hotel for the price. The decor is clean and modern. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower has amazing water pressure. And the staff is very nice. The indoor pool looks amazing. I didnt use it but it looks very well maintained.

2022-04-08Had to stay here impromptly... But was overall pleased with my stay. The facilities are well taken care of. Everything seemed orderly and clean. They have an indoor heated pool thats open. As well as an early breakfast option. They didnt have any meat options and no scrambled eggs just boiled, but they did have waffles, bagels and hot coffee/juice. Bed was comfy and some of the pillows should be replaced as they are a bit flat. The noise level of the people staying there was a bit much earlier in the evening but overall, it wasnt a bad stay.

2022-04-09I black lighted the beds and room and it was clean! I was happy about that. The pool was nice but could have been a little warmer. It was chilly. Also it is an indoor pool so the pool area could have been a little warmer too. The pool only had to loungers to lay on and th tables and chairs were dusty. The front desk and breakfast/store attendant was a little rude. But overall the hotel is beautiful and clean and I would go back. I left the Maid/cleaner a tip because I thought the maid service deserved it. I was really happy about the cleanliness, not many hotels pass my black light test!

2022-06-24Had a beautiful stay at this lovely modern hotel. This hotel is very clean and always smells good. I had the pleasure of being checked in by Irene. She was very knowledgeable about the restaurants in the area, as well as, visiting time square and places to see in NYC. Her kindness, professionalism, and customer services was beyond my expectation! I absolutely enjoyed my stay. Would come back again.

2022-02-10Decent hotel. Main complaint I have was the noise level, the walls were quite thin, heard the guests in the next room very clearly through the wall, and doors slamming in the hallway. My room also faced a busy road and the window let through a lot of noise. Another issue was the paint in the ceiling in the shower was literally coming off, felt pretty nasty. Breakfast was ok, didnt expect too much, wished theyd had some orange juice to offer. Still decent for the money, just not great.

2022-04-09I stayed here for about 7 hours, yet I had to pay twice for my stay. Why? Because this hotel has an unannounced policy that they will purge all reservations where the party has not checked in by 2am. I worked until 3:30am, then drove to WP to stay in this hotel on my way to D.C. I was told, summarily, that because I had not called to notify them of my late arrival for my prepaid room, that I would have to pay again. To stay in a room that had obviously once been a smoking room as it still reeked, a door that had stains on the outside of it, and previously opened bottles of shampoo and body wash. I was told this is their policy, yet it doesnt appear to be published anywhere. As it was already 4:30am, I had nowhere else to go. I am currently working on getting my money back for the second, unjust charge. If I prepay, that room is mine, even if I show up at 11am and just want to shower. The woman at the desk tried to say that they were fully booked and could have sold my room, but....no. I paid for the room, and it is mine until their established check out time!!!

2022-04-27Ladies in the front were very sweet. Room was clean but the bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling over a large area. All in all not a bad experience.

2022-03-14Everything was good. Lance (front desk employee) fixed me up with a good price - clean room & very friendly to answer all my questions & advise on getting Uber to the airport the next morning & about traffic early & arriving on time - I would recommend la Quinta & ask for Lance for very helpful service & best price - there was a couple people up the hall from me being loud around midnight I called the front desk & they had it corrected fast - Thank u!

2022-03-07After reading through the reviews I was not quite sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. to me this is minimum 2.5 to 3 star hotel. everything was clean and appeared as though it was recently renovated. when I booked it was for an accessible room (that was all that was available at the time of booking). I called the night before to ask about switching to a non accessible room. the nice lady said no problem just ask when you check in. sure enough upon check in they switched me happily to a non accessible 2 queen bed room. it looks just like the pictures. the pool was nice although we did not swim. we did use the gym/weight room. it was small but you can get a decent workout if needed. they had free weights, 1 excersize bike, 2 treadmills, a stair thing and a machine in the corner with pulleys and weights. breakfast was ok. they did not have any meat options but they had cereal (rice krispies, Os, and fruit loops. they had bagels, toast, and muffins and hard boiled eggs. and make your own waffles. basically 2 waffle machines between which sat a dispenser and plastic cups for the waffle mix. you put the mix in the cup and pour it in the machine. very easy. also coffee, tea and hot chocolate. there was also a nice sitting area to eat breakfast. they had a small area next to the check in counter where they sold cold drinks (water, juice , gator/power ade) and some food items such as granola bars. you do have to take 2 elevators to get to the rooms. this is due to the layout of the hotel. from the lobby you take 1 elevator 1 floor (or you can walk up the steps). upon exiting the elevator straight in front of you are the meeting rooms. so you have to make a left out of the elevator then a right, go past the pool to the next elevator which takes you up to the rooms. if you park in the back of the hotel you only take 1 elevator to the rooms. this is a non smoking hotel and because of that people smoke outside by the back door of the hotel. so if you are on floor 1 you may get a mild smoky smell just by the doors. We were on 2 and there was no smoky smell. The only negative thing was (we stayed Fri to Sun) they did not make up our room on Sat. it was not a big deal though we had enough towels. also I did see the cleaning people in the hall a few rooms away Sat morning before we left for the day. Im sure if I asked they would have cleaned our room. That said, I would definitely stay here again.
