Been dying to try korean fried chicken, and it did not disappoint. Very crispy and loved the flavor! We had honey garlic and soy garlic. The honey garlic was delicious on its own (and could have a bit of a kick), and while the soy garlic was okay on its own, with ranch, it was delicious. Make sure you get pickled radish with it - theyre not kidding about it going well with kfc. Its perfect! Great service, too!
I heard this place was good and wanted to try it out, so I bought a basket of the original fried chicken. There were signs that the food “may” contain allergens like dairy, soy, nuts, shellfish, wheat, etc. I have a peanut/tree nut allergy but since it’s just fried chicken I figured it would be safe. Plus I’ve never reacted to food like chocolate or pastries that were labeled “may contain nuts” just because they were processed on the same equipment. Although it tasted good, I can only assume that the fried chicken was made using peanut oil because I was vomiting and experiencing terrible cramps for the rest of the day. As soon as I felt symptoms, I visited the restaurants website but couldn’t find any nutrition information, I just wish there had been better transparency about the actual ingredients.
My absolutely favorite spot for Fried Korean Chicken in K-Town. Very fast service. Big space. And quite a number of different types of flavors. My must have is Soy Garlic wings. They are crispy and always fresh! Last week we got a salad to try. And want to say the grilled chicken in a salad had a very weird smell. Bad weird. And only the spots where chicken touched the grill (yes, I smelled it very well so I know what I’m talking about:) please clean the grill better it might help to prevent this unpleasant smell for costumers.
7/15/22 Soggy mess chicken, took it to go so I couldn’t go back to return it. Had mushy coatings and pink chicken I threw out. On top of that they raised price to $14 for a box. The box had 5 pieces of chicken with soggy coatings coming off of it. It’s better to get Chinese takeout than this they are least make the chicken crispy. Such a shame!
Food here was okay. I advise to eat downstairs at Olive Chicken than doing takeout at bbq chicken. The chicken downstairs taste more fresh than bbq chicken. Bbq chicken is basically for when youre desperate or in a rush b.c I cannot believe anyone who will say it taste good.Olive Chicken is still on the lower end of tastiness for Korean fried chicken. I would even choose pelicana or bonchon over olive chicken. The crispy skin is too hard and tough, like its been overly fried. And the soy garlic sauce was too sweet and not garlic-y enough. Also, the food is overpriced. They put a lot of fries on the plate and not a lot of chicken. I want to pay for chicken, not fries. The grapefruit beer however is a 5/5 🍻. I recommend it. For 3 beers and 2 orders of fried chicken came out to be ~$60 before tax and tips. You need your vax card or a picture of it. First time at a restaurant where I had to show it. But I dont mind since theyre doing this for the greater good.
Bb.q means best of the best quality. This chicken place is K-Drama famous. Its been featured (or they have paid to be featured) on Crash Landing on You, Goblin, etc..The chicken is really crispy and its best eaten when fresh. The meat is also juicy so its a really good buy. They only have 1 location in Manhattan, in the heart of K-Town on 32nd St., so we hope to see them expand soon.
My family and I ate at the restaurant in the basement, not the self-serve on the first floor. The service was great. Really friendly host and servers. We ordered 3 different flavors of boneless chicken: honey garlic, soy garlic and golden original. All of them tasted great, especially the soy and honey garlic. I was able to taste kimchi for the first time in my life. Very savory and spicy.Overall, the service and food were great and the prices accessible for NYC. Highly recommended!
Came here with my girlfriend, and ordered the spicy chicken. It was excellent. Dont listen to all of the comments/1-star ratings below. They are based on requisition of vaccination proof to be seated indoors. Staff is super friendly, and I recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for korean fried chicken.
One of my go-to spots for quick food to share. Plenty of flavors for everyone to find something they like, and nice portions for the area. Chicken consistency is generally good; occasionally the chicken is dry (we always get at least 2 different flavors at the same time and they’re consistently the same, leading me to believe it’s due to preparation, not from sitting in the heat lamps for varied amounts of time), but the amount of sauce on them helps with that. Also have a decent salad and a few other things. A cup of steamed rice for $1 means you can always grab some rice here to have with another meal on the cheap (or just shake on some store-bought seasoning for a really cheap dish — better than cooking a whole batch and dealing with clean-up).Always get it to go, so can’t speak to the table service on either floor. Register attendants are always fast & friendly.
I love this franchise, its been years since I had been to this location. The staff is still friendly and the area is huge to dine-in.I ordered the spicy galbi (bone-in) and the secret sauce (boneless) chicken. The spicy galbi isnt as spicy as expected. It was more on the sweeter end and with a kick of spice. It was still good though. The secret sauce was sweet and tangy. It was just how I remembered from years ago.Other notes:I had been to the one in Philly and love their signature olive chicken, soy garlic, and spicy wings. Overall, this is a good Korean fried chicken franchise.
Chicken was very crispy, we tried the soy garlic and we liked it, we also tried the secret sauce one but didnt finish it because it was too sweet, so if you like very sweet things you might like it. The place is self service, so when you arrive you just pick the chicken that you like (they also have kimchi rice, hot rice cake (was hot for me), and other things and pay then you can sit there and eat or just for takeout.. The kimchi rice, it was ok, the rice cake (tteok-bokki) Ive tried better. Other than that the best thing they had is their chicken
I used to love eating here all the time. But for some reason the other day I bought some chicken from them, it was a container of honey garlic and a container of secret sauce. I had a honey garlic on a Saturday and woke up Sunday with a bad stomach flu. I had diarrhea and was throwing up and could not keep any liquid down so I was dehydrated. I didnt think it was the chicken, I thought it was something else I had eaten later Saturday night and did not think anything of it. Eventually by Sunday night I felt a little better. But I still had my second container and didnt think it was the chicken, so I eat my second container Monday night. My friend happened to get some chicken from the same place on Monday night as well and we ate it together. I woke up at 1 a.m. Tuesday morning with the exact same issue. My stomach wasnt so much pain that I was crying and I had to force myself to throw up for the pain to get better. Thats when I realized it had to be the chicken. Come to find out, that same Tuesday morning, my friend who also ate the chicken Monday night was experiencing the exact same stomach flu. She had the exact same symptoms as I did. And not just confirmed that it was the chicken from this place that did that to us. We will never eat here again. PS, it made sense because my chicken was gray and brown as I was examining it, I should have stopped eating it then but didnt.
I came for the high rating. I will tell you this. Unless you ask for fresh to order, this chicken is NOT fresh. Stale, weird tasting chicken. I passed on Pelicana because I wanted to try something different. There must be a lot of people that dont know good fried Korean chicken.
After reading reviews and seeing this be recommended I was expecting great chicken! However, I was highly disappointed. I got the galbi wings and it was very bland, tasted old, and was just overall not good. After paying about $14/15 for the box I tried to eat as much as I could, but honestly could not because the chicken just was not good. It could be some of the worst chicken I’ve ever had- which is unfortunate because this place is rated highly. Maybe it was just that particular flavor and it was an off day, but after this experience I do not want to chance it and go back to try a different flavor and be disappointed once gain :(. Additionally, I do not write food reviews, but I had to because I was in utter disbelief.
Best korean fried chicken in NYC no doubt! The first floor has meals already prepped where you can pick up and eat in the back or take to go. You can go downstairs to dine-in and be served. Downstairs the chicken is served with fries. I prefer the first floor because it is quicker. My favorite chicken is the soy garlic wings, but the rice bowls are also delicious and filling.
Got a box of soy garlic chicken, tasted good, enough for two people to share. Two negatives is bathroom placement next to the cashier counter is a little awkward with the cart blocking the doorway a bit and people lining up to use it. Other issue is the chicken wasn’t piping out. Maybe my box has been sitting on the shelf a bit.
Food was good, but the most unpleasant part about my experience was having to sit outside on the street as the staff had closed indoor dining in preparation for closing in 30 minutes. The street is crowded at all times of day, and there may be sketchy people in the nearby seating area.
Great place. A bucket of chicken for $11 isnt a bad deal at all, especially for the quality of chicken youll be getting. They also have many chicken flavors, my personal favorites being garlic chicken and spicy chicken. There are also many side dishes. Their tteokbokki also tastes great and only costs $5.50. I frequent this place all the time. Overall, a 10 outta 10 would recommend.
I love the convenience and vibe of this place. Amidst all the expensive Korean restaurants, it’s nice to have a more casual and easy dining option to go to. It still has the restaurant vibe but with fast food convenience. And unlike fast food joints, this restaurant is big, clean and bright and the food is fresh and nicer quality. The main floor is self-serve with readymade chicken bowls, rice bowls, desserts and sides. Pick up the items that you want and proceed to the register to pay. I love this. The bowls are big and I often buy extra to have the next day. The chicken is always tender, light and with a nice crispy crust. I’ve tried every flavor they offer (honey garlic, soy garlic, original, etc.) and all are very great. I prefer the boneless wings which has more meat and are slightly cheaper in price. The rice bowls are also pretty good. I personally like my rice piping hot. Luckily, there’s a microwave near the utensils area that you can use to nuke the rice bowls. They get a lot of foot traffic, so the food is replenished quite often throughout the day.You can enjoy your food in one of the two sitting areas on the first floor. Or if you want, you can go downstairs to their cozy, full-service restaurant. The restaurant downstairs can sometimes get very loud. For those who like beer and fries with their wings, downstairs is the place to go. The food downstairs is slightly more expensive, but it’s made to order.Overall, great place with friendly staff and good food. I obviously will continue to come back and eat here.
The stores website says they open at 11am. Every-time I come at 11am they say they aren’t open yet. They always open 15-20 minutes after the original opening time. Understand you are located in a busy area and people do stop by during break. Even when they are open most of the chicken options aren’t available. Terrible service in general.
I liked this place because it has a nice vibe that’s really chill and nice and clean. When we went down there was immediately a person that came and brought us to some seats and gave us a menu with no wait for seats. He also told us about how there was a buy one get one free beer happy hour! The food was really good although I preferred the Secret Sauce chicken a little more due to the sweetness. The fries were crunch and also tasted not too salty and not too plain. Would definitely come again!
SOUTH KOREA 🇰🇷Eat the World NYC review:While only gracing the shores of the United States for the last five years, bb.q Chicken is a company that is almost 25 years old, starting first in Korea but expanding to at least seven countries as the Korean fried chicken craze shows no signs of slowing down. Back home the franchise went crazy even in its first year, with 100 locations opening. So when it started up in cities here, naturally Koreans were very happy with the additions (in addition to the Koreatown location, there is one in Flushing, another in Brooklyn, and five across the Hudson) but it deserves the attention of everyone. The Midtown branch offers a basement level with a bar and becomes a great place to drink and watch sports. The party they threw for one of South Koreas World Cup match last year was fantastic and entry included plates of their fried chicken and beer. On ground level, they also have grab and go bowls already prepared for quick lunches, and ample room for dining in as well. This space is better for customers on the run during the day.
The place is just vibey!Visiting New York 🗽, you would want to stop at it. We came to have a late-night over chicken and we sat in the basement. We had to wait for a table for a little bit, but it was worth it.Service and food both are amazing. I would come back for sure when visiting New York again.Don’t just go crazy with all the saucy chickens, do try the simple classical one, it is amazing.
I am absolutely addicted to the chicken / dishes here. Never have I tasted chicken so good in my life. I eat here every weekend with my girls who share the same sentiment. Its soooo goood. For anyone who likes mild spice try the secret spicy boneless chicken or the golden olive chicken. For the sweet lovers try the honey garlic and for the people who love real hardcore spice def try the dukbukki and wash whatever you order down with a nice tall glass of Hite South Korean beer. Their cocktails are awesome too.
Delicious chicken served with many different marinades! Lots of different and unique drink options plus Asian snacks on the side! People are very friendly and it’s perfect for quick takeout meal or a sit down experience. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken in an rice and egg bowl! Also perfect for large plates to share with a group
Dont eat chicken but when with friends who loved chicken. They said it was great. I had the topokki, coleslaw, corn salad and white rice. The topokki was pretty spicy but delicious. The fish cakes were very few but the sauce made up for it. The coleslaw and corn salad were slightly sweet which was fine but if you dont like sweet savory that could be a bit of a let down.
If youre ever in Koreatown, this is a must try eatery! This is a chimaek (chicken and beer) chain thats really popular in Korea. Its their first NYC store. The chain was even featured in a K-Drama (Goblin)! The chicken is so delicious 😋 its fried but yet light and not greasy! Its addictive ♥ My personal favorites are the Jamaica rice bowl (shown), the secret sauced boneless chicken, the soy garlic chicken and the regular dark meat fried chicken. Their corn salad is to die for! And the prices are reasonable (average for chicken + side and drink is $12-15).The restaurant is in two parts: take out upstairs (with booths and tables to sit and eat if you choose) and a traditional sit down restaurant with a hostess downstairs. They have a bar downstairs where they have several beers on tap, and they recently got beer for the upstairs too. Lots of interesting beers, if youre into craft beers.Definitely check this place out, you wont regret it! ♥
One of the best places for Korean Chimac chicken and beer. They have a great selection of flavors both spicy and non spicy. Upstairs you can get takeout for cheap prices without waiting too long as they put out lots of chicken for picking. Downstairs you can be seated like a restaurant with an expanded menu. Overall an excellent place for a fried chicken dinner both alone or with friends.
Hard to find seating since there are so many people. But I suppose if it wasnt good, people wouldnt show. Enjoyed the chicken but think I need to dine at the actual restaurant on the basement level than the grab and go section. I think I chose one of the chicken bowls that were sitting a bit too long so it wasnt that hot.
Great location in the middle of Koreatown. When you enter, you can purchase food on display, from their chicken, other food, and drinks. You can also stay and eat there at the top. Or you can continue down to their basement restaurant and have Chicken and Beer. When you go down the stairs, along the neon sign, you are met with a server to lead you to your table. As per the sign, it really is mostly chicken and beer. If its not, then unfortunately, its currently unavailable. Some of their flavored chicken is also unavailable. But what theyre known for is really their Olive Chicken. They serve different types of beer, and luckily for us, it was 2 for 1. We had the UFO white, which I really liked. If you like Blue Moon, then youll enjoy this witbier. We had ordered the Olive Chicken with their Secret Spicy sauce, which wasnt actually spicy. You get a tinge of spice, but only that. We also got their Soy Garlic which was pretty good. All their chicken comes with fries and radishes.Hopefully, when we come back therell be more to choose from. But from what we had it justified a return visit.
Absolutely AMAZING fried chicken even when its grab and go. Highly recommended-- the chicken is covered with sauce and flavor but is still so crispy and has a great crunch. Becareful of their pepper rating-- this spicy galbi is 2.5 peppers and my boyfriend and i both thought it was pretty mild but weve had their hot spicy chicken which is 3 peppers and that is actually quite spicy!
This is a great place to eat at. Theres a lot of seats. You can bring a group of friends here and everyones gonna be comfortable. The food comes in buckets and you grab what you desire like pieces of chicken and a bowl of rice and a drink you just need to bring it to the cashier. To get all of this i would recommend bringing around $15. Also this might be odd but I love the environment there. It seems very relaxed and laid back which helps to set the mood with said group of friends. I recommend you come here to eat and relax. =)
My first time here and I absolutely loved it! The whole process was great, easy, fast selection of the food you want when you enter. The line moved quickly, friendly cashier and great atmosphere. The best part was the great prices they offer - definitely way more economical than most food items in NYC. I had their beef bulgogi bowl and it was so good! It was very filling. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu and would like to try their dinner service downstairs too.
This is a really chill place with lots of good food ready for the go. the seating area is also clinical for group although some of the seats are kind of dated and need for your place cuz I kind of feel like Im going to fall off. the self-serve makes it so easy for people just to get in out with their choice of meal. Also alcohol in the down stairs area.
Being a southern girl, I know good chicken and let me tell you that we ate here 3 out of our 6 nights in the city. Its cafeteria style ordering but dont let that sway you from trying some of K-Towns best eats. There were no fries offered as pictured in some of the photos when we went, but they had banging a$$ chicken bowls for around $8.99 and amazing crispy chicken wings (boneless and traditional) for around $12.99. YUMMY!!
Sooo good! I’ve already come back twice since eating here for the first time a month ago. The secret sauce flavor has become my personal favorite but every flavor has been good so far! Easy to-go food for covid times but the indoor seating is very spacious as well. Temperature checks done for indoor seating!
Discover this shop since Dec 21st 2021. 1st time had take out secret sauce chicken which was so good, hot crispy chicken full of sauce. But bit disappointed last 3 times, chicken is not cripsy anymore, it soft and light warm; lack of sauce. Cant ask them add sauce for me because I bought take out. Will not go anymore because only the 1st time was good, other 3 times was not disappointed.
First time was earlier this month, was so good that I had to bring a friend this time around. We both really enjoyed our food. Chicken is always cooked to perfection with an amazing selection i of sauces. Their fries are really good, soft on the inside crispy enough on the outside for my liking. May have to make this place my monthly cheat meal. Yup, I said monthly.
I think this chicken changed my life. No lie. I dream about crispy Korean fried chicken now. I dont think any other fried chicken will compare. Also, how does it stay crispy while coated in sauce? Black magic, I swear.I came in a few days before and got their pre-prepared chicken, still delicious, but I do prefer the downstairs sit down and fresh made stuff. Its slightly crispier. I also tried their kimbap, kimchi, and chicken mu. Kimbap was great, chicken mu excellent (wish they sold it in giant tubs, I would just eat it out of the container), but the kimchi lacked flavor- not enough to change my 5 star review though! All in all, so glad I went twice while in town. Ill dream of this chicken until the next time Im in NYC. 😭
If youre looking for something quick and delicious its here. No frills or mood environment but you just grab your items (various flavors of chicken, rice, soup etc.) since they are constantly cooking and placing them in containers to grab. Pay and either grab a seat or leave. Quick and easy!
Honestly if not for the service, the chicken is a 4 star. We went downstairs to take pictures of the place and chicken and there was 1 table filled downstairs and the waiter wouldn’t let us sit where the light was good, telling us it’s busy so we can’t sit 2 people at a 4 person table, rude. Also for a fried chicken place, there are not wet wipes upstairs.
This place has like some serious magic in their food. Yes they really do have a HQ university in south korea dedicated to the science of their chicken. Every single tIme I come here this place doesn’t disappoint, it is consistently good each time. All the chicken wings are crispy with perfect sauce batter ratio and they dont skimp on the portions on wings. I live for their soy garlic wings , if you dare to try the wings of fire makesure you are by a bathroom they dont play with their spices. I also love their boneless wings, yes I recommend every single flavor to you especially honey garlic. Im also impressed with their kimchi fried rice and vegetable bimbimbap, there is so much good flavors mixed and they dont use too much oil and portions are enough to share for two. Its great that you can just walk in and take the food off the organized shelves of various ready to go wings. This place also has cool seaweed snacks and rice cakes if you want something on the go. I love their choices of sakes and beer towers take the W 🏆. There is two floors of seatings and plenty of cashiers. Ps it is worth getting honey mustard and bbq sauce with your order they are so good
One of my favorite on the Korea Way block. The chicken flavors are delicious and they have a wide variety. From Honey Garlic to Spicy Jamaican to Fried. Chciken prices range from $9 to $12. Good selection of sides from Kimchi and Corn Cups to Rice Cups which are about $1.25. The Meals Comvos are $7.99. They have a Huge seating area with comfortable seats and a nice atmosphere. Also, There is a Bar Located in the Basement.
One of the best places I have ever got Korean fried chicken from. I’m practically obsessed with getting chicken from there. My absolute favorite is the honey garlic, the taste is so addicting I’ve been there 3 times this week and I always tip, because it’s worth it. I always get the honey garlic chicken and rice, because the rice adds more texture and makes you more full when you eat the two together. I highly recommend this place, and the staff is personally nice too. I think the chicken is personally better when you get it hot and fresh, however it’s also good when it’s not.
This is a great place to stop by for some lunch or even bring it home for the family. One of the best things about this is the price point vis-a-vis quality. Its incredibly cheap for the quality of food. My friend always comes here no matter how much we want to try something else. You just cant go wrong with itI personally love everything about it, biggest complaint (and thats not really a big complaint) is quantity of food. A LOT of people come here and things can get empty quick - so maybe just come here when its convenient. Seating can also go away really quickly as well, although there are standing sections for eating. The food itself taste fresh and is REALLY good. I personally like the rice products and their boneless chicken. They also give a lot of food for the price.Overall, a great establishment that I highly recommend anyone should check out in Ktown, whether for a quick bite or a large meal, you cant go wrong with this place.
Awesome place to go to if you need a quick fix for some Korean Fried Chicken! Many different flavors and varieties of Korean foods to pick and choose from. Line does gets busy at certain times throughout the day but service is quick and efficient nonetheless. Theres also table service downstairs that opens later in the afternoon. Go check this place out if you are in the Midtown area :)
I was only in the area for 2 days for Comic-Con and decided to give this place a try. I have wanted to try Korean fried chicken for quite some time, and this place far exceeded my expectations. At first I was a little confused about the set-up, but I knew I wanted something alcoholic so I followed the sign for “bar” downstairs. I have to say the service was truly top notch. I was helped and seated right away. I ended up ordering the Gang Jeong boneless chicken and green grape soju. The chicken was phenomenal. Very fresh, crunchy, and juicy. My only regret is not ordering Hite beer to go with it. But I really wanted soju and I thought better of heading back to convention drunk. There was a really cute bartender as well. All around BBQ Olive Chicken is a 10/10 for me. If you’re in the area please give it a try.
I am so happy that there is a new and affordable fried chicken option in KTown.I ordered the Honey Garlic chicken (12 piece + fries = $11.99) and the Gang Jeong chicken (12 piece + fries = $11.99).The honey garlic chicken was delicious but I was a little underwhelmed by the gang Jeong. The fries although very simple were pretty good too.
Went on Christmas Day 2017. AMAZING! Try everything, but especially their olive chicken and their kimbap (seaweed wrapped rice triangles). I almost want to move to New York for this place. Open a chain in Columbia, South Carolina please!Update: Ate here again 8/15/18. Amazing. I adore this place. How do they get their chicken so light and crispy?! It’s so delicious. Their service was excellent as well. Their soju was really good. The place is pricey, but so worth it.
Delicious chicken! The flavors were phenomenal! We got the spiciest chicken in the menu and it didnt feel as spicy this time, but the flavor was wonderful. And the honey garlic had a hint of sweetness with a big kick off garlic which is exactly what we were hoping for.
I visited on Friday night with another friend. This place was on the second floor. Unlike other Korean BBQ places, this place didnt have a long wait. We wrote down our name and waited about 15 minutes there to be seated. They didnt have seats for for waiting..We sat by the window and it was cool to have the view of the k town street. However, they didnt have a ventilation fan right above the grill, so I could feel the smoke filling up the place at some point..Food was decent. We had pork belly, bean paste stew, and tteokbokki. I think the server grilled our pork belly very well.
Ordered the spicy galbi boneless chicken and it tasted great! The prices are affordable and they have many options for those with different spice tolerances. Because we wanted to dine in, we had to show proof of vaccination. Once we sat down the area was clean. The only problem I would say is that many people come here so a lot of the food sells out fast and it takes a while for them to restock.
This is perfect place if you want to grab some quick lunch. The prices are decent, you get more bang for your buck and the service is quick. They have pre-packaged fresh food ready to go.You just go in there and pick whatever you like, take it to the check out counter, pay and go! Perfect for short lunches. You can also sit there and eat.I like Korean fried chicken so I picked up Gang Jeong Chicken , 9 pieces for $7.99 and one white rice which was $1.50. The food is fresh and delicious.
Walked past this self service restaurant numerous times but always decided not to enter as I was under false belief that fried chicken which is kept warm won’t be as crispy and nice. How wrong I was. Finally went in and tried it. It was a dream come true and absolutely delicious. Multiple flavours are available and a must visit for fried chicken lovers.
A hidden gem. The different glazes that they use on their chicken is nothing short of sublime. Lots of space to sit and Can easily accommodate multiple large groups with room to spare. If youre not looking to stay, you can easily be in and out with food in hand within minutes. Restaurant quality at the speed of fast food.
I love this place! Brings me the feel of “home”, dark and loud. Staff are accommodating. They ask for ID before you dine in most specially if you are ordering alcoholic drinks. Their chicken is to die for! (for a korean chicken wings lover like me). Their pork chop is great too! Chum churum apple flavor is love!
Quality fried chicken! They have a selection of chicken with bone or boneless. They serve beer too!Ordered the super spicy one and the classic golden olive chicken. The spicy one is really spicy and the classic one is juicy and yum!Wish there are more choices with bone.
I was a big fan of this place but today was a mess.My friend and I ate downstairs where I found that there was a distinct garbage smell?!Our chicken took longer than we expected to come out but its okay. What bothered me was that one of our dishes had not arrived after we almost finished our chicken and when we checked with the waiter, he said that they had forgotten to punch it in. No apology.Might just eat upstairs next time.
Amazing place for korean fried chicken and other korean bites. I adore this place. There is a self service option and then there is a resturant style seating down stairs. I have done both and I recommend both . I have tried their spiciest chicken, chicken sandwich , topokki and their gimbap. I love all of them. I highly recommend their spicy chicken. Its really spicy and full of flavor. If you dont like spicy there are other options. The customer service is amazing at this place I went in on a Friday night and it gets crazy, they have to put out fresh chicken every 10 min because the chicken just flies off the self. There was a worker there that saw me waiting and he asked me what I was waiting for, he then proceeded to check when the chicken would be out and he informed me . I thought that was amazing. Absolutely reccomend and this is the only place I will ever get my korean fried chicken .
No doubt the food here is inexpensive ($13 for a portion of chicken that feeds two) and the (self) service is fast and efficient. The large dining area is pleasant, too. Unfortunately the chicken was lousy. Most likely because it sat in a heated display awaiting customers, the overly thick crust had the consistency of cardboard. The only crispy parts were occasional burnt ends. The chicken tender meat itself was dry and tasteless. On the bright side, the ganjeong sauce was pleasant. But sauce doesn’t fix inferior food. The dry (not creamy) cole slaw was ok, providing a welcome contrast to the deep fried blobs it accompanied. There are many good restaurants in K-town. BB.Q Chicken isn’t one of them. Avoid.
Amazing chicken. You usually go in and towards your left is where everything is displayed, you take what you want and go on line to pay, everything is labeled so you know what your getting. The 3 times spicy chicken is my favorite with the spicy sauce and kimchi from the side dish section. I recommend 100%. They also got other things like rice and chicken dishes etc.
This place seemed a little pricey to me but for $7-$9 you can get some pretty tastey boneless chicken but for a small can of beer seemed pricey but its imported so I get it. Downstairs is a resturant and bar while upstairs is more of a fast food style. Im also not sensitive to pepper but I found their ddukkpokki (rice cakes) to be a little too spicey to eat as is, so I took it home and jazzed it up and it was good.
Korean fried chicken is undoubtedly the best form of fried chicken, and this place adds a layer of convenience to that. There is a restaurant downstairs, but the main level is all about grab and go (or stay) boxes. I still think I prefer BonChon in terms of flavor and crunchiness, but there is something to be said for not having to make an order and wait for it. Plus, its still really good.
It’s pretty much like a modern Korean fusion fast food restaurant, but I prefer this to like, McDonald’s. The Soy Garlic boneless chicken is my favorite from this restaurant, and the mala and Cajun triangle rice balls are also very good. I haven’t tried their burgers yet, but maybe when I’m in the mood for it I will go do that. Definitely recommend this place if you love chicken.
I came here about 10 times so far!!! They have one of the best (if not the best) food i have ever tasted!!! I put 3 people on to this place. Once you try their chicken you will be addicted!!! My recommendation is the honey garlic and soy garlic. I alternate between boneless and regular sometimes. All their chicken is amazing!!! Their staff is polite and i like the scenery it’s very cozy and perfect to hang out wether you’re on a date, with a friend, family member and etc. please go here you will not regret it!!!
Me and my friends went here and the chicken was so good, It was sweet but it had sauce on it (forgot the name) then we got the Tteok-bokki it was spicy but good!! And everyone is complaining about the vaccine… they have to take precautions or else their business will get shut down… if you don’t wanna get the vaccine that fine but don’t expect the restaurants to let you dine in when they’re the ones trying not to get their business shut down.
Pretty cheap, but not the greatest quality chicken in the world. I still really love it and encourage you to give it a try. The food is already prepared so if you need something cheap to go, this is your place. They also have a lot of space for dine-in, and its the kind of place where you can go alone with your laptop and it wouldnt be weird.
Got it from the grab and go area, but dined in. I really should have waited for a fresh one to come out because mine was cold. I dont know if I get a fresh one if I order online. I asked if there was made-to-order option when dining in, but he said no. Maybe with something fresh itll be better and I can update the review.Cost $10 for the original boneless.
Love the convenience factor here! A lot of food are already packaged and ready to be taken to check out. Its juicy and crispy chicken come in different flavors and styles. It’s always hard to make my selection because they’re all so good. There are also sides likes rice and salad you can get to pair with your main meal.
Would give it 6 stars if i could. I had the Jamaican, and Cajun rice bowl and both were amazing. Very well priced and you can have 2 servings from the same bowl if you are looking to cut calories or cost. Good portion, food is always ready and fresh. quick in and out but i would avoild the lunch crowd. I was there 2 times in the past week and will come back SOON. thanks!
I keep coming back to this place. I looooove their food so much. I lost track as to how many times I went back to this place but last Nov 5th was one of my best times eating in the store. I would like to give 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 to their Cashier with the name of KEVIN. He is so good and generous! That was my first time to receive a freebie from this store. I will definitely come back here. I am so happy and satisfied. 😍😍

2022-07-01Honestly really great place to get food for an affordable price in the city.4 stars only because the quality of the chicken could have been way better especially with less oil, and it being paired up with mayo will give you a stomach ache. But I cant really hate on them for feeding so many people and having good tasting food at affordable prices plus the workers were working super hard to keep the place tidy so ill be returning for sure to taste other items on the menu.

2022-02-28Korean bbq chicken on the go! Lot of flavors of double fried Korean chicken! Just grab and go!Location: It is located in Koreatown! The interior has few seatings, I believe there is a downstairs as well. There is a display of available chicken, it is already pre packed so just grab and pay.Service: No interaction. Just pay and go.Food: I love all the flavors of their Korean fried chicken. GALBI: omg this new discovery to me, it was so good! The sauce and sesame seeds is perfect combination with the crispiness of the chicken. SOY GARLIC: staple flavor, always my favorite and my nephews too! ORIGINAL: so there is no flavor, this is just the typical fried chicken. But it still good, its a little bit spicy but the chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. CORN SALAD: definitely get this as a side dish, it is so good! I dont have picture cause I ate them already.Price rating: 7/10, not bad at all for the goodness.Definitely will come back here everytime I go to Koreatown. Next time I will try their new flavors.

2022-03-05Super delicious food and very well cooked. You can take food to go (upstairs) or sit at the resturant (downstairs). They have good deals to combine different types of chicken/sides. I personally though that the soy garlic chicken was too sweet (was carmelized and literally tasted like caramel corn). Would definitely get the more savory flavors next time, but overall the chicken was crispy and delicious. This would be a fun place to get a beer tower with some friends and hang out and eat good food. Also the service was quick.

2022-05-22I love this place, I always come here when I arrive in NYC and for my dinner before I leave. I typically get the Honey Garlic Chicken with rice, corn salad and kimchi, always happy with my meals here. Just overall a great spot.

2022-06-12Busy, bustling energy throughout and especially downstairs for a dinner and a pitcher or any drinks with friends just slightly out of sight from the usual K-town crowd. Also constantly streaming sports downstairs. They serve very generous portions of fried chicken in various sauces.

2022-03-21Grab-and-go Korean fried chicken place that also offers dine-in space. Staple flavors include secret spicy, honey garlic, and golden original never fail. Some flavors offer both wings and nuggets option. Chicken are fried to crispy and crunchy and coated with great flavor.

2021-07-18Very delicious & great service!!! I found this restaurant on Google and wanted to give it a try on their chicken wings since I saw the good reviews and wasnt disappointed at all! The flavor of Chicken was extremely good!!! Very juicy on the inside and very crispy on the outside. The sauce they were covered in was the BEST! We ordered the Secret Sauce Half chicken (boneless) and the Honey Garlic chicken wings . It comes with fries, ketchup and pickled radish. On the first floor they have a self service/ pick up where you can seat also, and in the basement theres the restaurant. (Toilets were extremely clean... unlike like NYC in general!)

2021-09-30Just out of this world! Koreans really know how to make crispy fried chicken! So many different sauces. Tried probably the whole menu and gotta say that the spiciest level is very spicy. If you can handle it, go for it, but personally I was about to cry. Bring someone with you if you’re like me, so you can at least share different flavours. My favourite sauce? Hard to say, but probably the mild spicy and honey garlic.Super recommended!!! You’ll get full for sure! Both times I went on food coma after that huge feast! They definitely don’t go cheap on it.

2022-07-19Very delicious chicken. This is part of a franchise from SK. Get the spicy chicken, for a non spicy version you can go for soy sauce and garlic. Its super good! Dont forget the beer, do chimek :)
