I have always gone out to Long Beach on the weekends for beach days. I went to beach bagel for the first time since the new owners took over. The service was fast and the entire place was very clean. I felt comfortable getting food there even during the pandemic. Bagels were absolutely amazing, hot and fresh. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommend !!!
I have been working near Beach bagel and deli lately and it is half impossible to get anything from them if you have time constraints. I even called 10 minutes ahead then went and waited another 15min then ended up just canceling my order because I only get 30 minutes for lunch and it was just taking too long to make a cold roast beef sandwich. The only positive is that the people that work there are very nice but obviously slow. Overall 35/100

The bagels are the best around! Unfortunately the woman at the cash register ruins the entire experience. While me and my family have been going here for years, we had another less than friendly encounter with this individual which has caused us to begin to look for other bagel sources. What a shame!
I have lived in Long Beach for longer than this place has been open and it has never disappointed me. Even when the owners switched hands I was pleasantly surprised with how much better the food and service could be. I do not eat bagels from anywhere else and never leave this place unhappy with the service. The new owners are very accommodating.

I went to the Beach Bagel & Deli tonight hopping that the new owners would be making nice sandwiches for their customers during this time. Unfortunately, I was let down and received not only an ice cold hero (cold meat and cheese as well as a frozen hero), but one that was lacking in fillings. I didnt even receive the customary pickle that the previous owners always gave. I wish the owners never sold. I believe that the previous owners did a better job of taking care of their customers and that they actually cared. The only reason that i am ranking 2 stars is because they are open during this pandemic, however I believe they should deeply consider revamping the business if they Hope to stay open when all of this ends.
Honestly, the bagels are very good, however the customer service was not anything special to make me want to come back. I love this deli and usually have no issues but the older woman behind the bagel station was very rude. I didn’t get a second to think about what I wanted and I get told “well are you gonna tell me?”, therefore felt rushed and it was just not nice getting an attitude the entire time. I could’ve been having the worst day of my life just wanting to get a bagel to cheer me up, and what do I receive? Attitude. Thank you for your time.
I visited this shop on Sunday March 1, 2020. The shop was busy but the flow of customers into the shop was not overwhelming. I went to the order line and had only one customer ahead of me. The service area was very disorganized. Everyone seemed to be working hard but nothing was getting done. There was no one acting as a manager and directing the employees. It took 14 minutes before someone took my order. I ordered coffee with my omelet. Unfortunately, there was no brewed coffee. When I got my.omelet it was dry and awful looking as it was over cooked. If your are looking for a good bagel and some good service font stop here.

2022-04-18I love to get breakfast from this place, the food is so fresh, specially the bagels, they make them on premises, and their people is very nice. They also have the best home fries in town 😋. It is very convenient that they are open 24/7. 👌🏼

2022-06-04This place served in a pinch when everything was else was closed to get a lat nite hot sandwich, as they are open 24/7. Guy behind the deli counter was very nice and made very good sandwiches. I got The Goodfella hero, chicken cutlet with prosciutto and swiss cheese. It was very good but pricey. My dad got a custom hero, chicken cutlet parmesan. He didnt like it as much as a regular pizzeria but you cant really compare any Italian style sandwich to a true pizzaria IMHO.We got a half a dozen bagels just to try them, and they were fresh and good but not as good as our regular place. We normally go to Bagel Cafe on Lido Blvd and more often to the 24-hour Bagel Cafe on Long Beach Rd in Oceanside. But I can see how this place is popular on the west end of Long Beach because theres nothing really like it over there. Bagel prices were also a bit higher than our regular bagel place. We pay $8 for a half, $16 for a dozen. Here they charged $9 for a half. But he said the price had just gone up due to current circumstances.

2022-07-05Just went in there , the walls are filthy , why wouldn’t they paint them or clean them , there was such a stench coming out of the ices door when it was opened , and on top of that , the coolers are not cold , another eeh so so cold soda …:(

2017-01-10Some damn good bagels. Can get very crowded and the staff can be snappy, but ignore them and get some of the best bagels and all different kinds of cream cheese. Seriously so many options. At night you can go get bags of bagels for cheap, because they would go stale.

2021-11-17Ive been going here for years but have not been in a while, stopped today and was excited for a great bagel. Walked in and the placed smelled horrible, like burnt nasty old oil. Paid $8.99 for an onion bagel with bacon, tomato and mayo. Onions were burnt, two thin slices of tomato and 4 pieces of bacon. For the price I expected more. Now, 4 hours later my stomach hurts and I cant stay out of the bathroom. I guess thats just another one if my old favs to cross off the list.

Excellent questions.The Unites States is the only country where bagels is a mainstream thing and New York City and surrounds is arguably the locus of worldwide bagel consumption. So if we can establish that Beach Bagels are the best in the NYC area, then they must be the best in the world (with apologies to all the logicians reading this).I only recently started cycling the Long Beach Boardwalk and had the opportunity to pass by this long-established bagel store. I purchased a Whole Wheat Everything. I knew after just one bite (after adding my own smear and lox) that this bagel was different. My taste buds knew this was a superior bagel…texture, taste, everything! There just was no comparison to any bagel I’ve ever eaten.Having been born and raised on Long Island and living my entire 65 years in NYC, Ive eaten a lot of bagels. Living in Queens where bagel stores are as ubiquitous as Starbucks, I’ve been to many bagel stores. Beach Bagels clearly stands out as my top choice.When I told my boardwalk cycling buddy, Howard about my revelation, he shook his head knowingly, like I was in on a secret. And then he shared that I should try the plain bagel. After I finished my 8 laps on the BW, I did just that. Howard was not kidding! How can a plain bagel be anything but plain? Simply delicious! I finished the entire bagel before I even got back on my bike.

2021-05-28This is one of, if not the best, bagel places I have been to. The bagels were fresh and delicious, and the place itself is very clean. The costumer service was incredible. I have been to a lot of bagel shops and delis and I would highly recommend this one over them all.
