This was my first experience at Beauty Bar. I feel like I have found a hidden gem. The atmosphere upon entering was relaxing, clean and welcoming. I went there to have my lashes curled and tinted. I had a lot of questions and Angela, the esthetician could not have been more patient and informative. She explained each step along the way and I felt comforted by her expertise and pleasant manner. I had a lengthy discussion with the owner when I left regarding other services. I can truly say that I look forward to going back for additional skin treatments.
Yesterday was my first time at Beauty Bar 1947 and my experience was fabulous. The moment you walk in you’re greeted by a very professional staff who follow all covid guidelines. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. The office is extremely tranquil and clean. Dr. Doshi took his time answering all of my questions and making sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. The community of Long Beach is lucky to have such a beautiful, professional, and tranquil space for medical spa treatments. I highly recommend checking out Beauty Bar 1947!
I went Beauty Bar 1947 and cannot express how happy I am with the staff and service. I scheduled an appointment with Angela for the “Evelyn”, eyebrow tint and shape. I have already been complemented on how much it helped form my face! Thank you Angela! The owner, Lauren, was so welcoming and easy to talk to, she made me feel like we’ve been friends for years!Overall phenomenal service and such a clean environment! Beauty Bar 1947 is above and beyond, simply put, AMAZING!!! There aren’t enough stars to express how much I love and appreciate this establishment. I drive an hour and a half each way from eastern Long Island to come to Beauty Bar, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The positive energy, love, and passion the staff have for making their customers feel welcomed, happy and beautiful is at the essence of what makes Beauty Bar 1947 a unique place like no other! From Belle at the front desk who always has a friendly smile and pays attention to details, like appointment times that might be more convenient with my schedule…To Dr. Doshi who does the most amazing work!!! He takes his time while encouraging every single, question or concern I might have. And he makes it a point to follow up beyond each appointment to ensure that the results are exactly what I want. To of course Lauren, the owner who has truly created a diamond in the ruff!!! She has the most positive, contagious energy and loves seeing her clients happy! I’ve never been to a place that makes me feel so comfortable & special, while yielding the BEST beauty results!!! I always look forward to coming back! LOVE BEAUTY BAR 1947!!! Thank you!
Beauty Bar 1947 is Long Beach’s hidden gem! Lauren, the owner, is so empathetic towards your concerns, making you feel comfortable every step of the way in whatever treatment you are looking to get done. The office is chic, spotless and the staff is always super friendly. Lauren has made Beauty Bar a place like no other. With the best of the best doctors, Dr. Doshi, is gentle, kind and very knowledgeable about fillers and Botox. He takes the time to explain what he will do, how it will look and what to expect, if any bruising will occur so you are not surprised. From eye lash extensions, waxing, make up applications, and amazing facials, Beauty Bar is the only place to go for all your beauty treatments.
Five stars is not enough! The services at Beauty Bar 1947 are incredible. I get my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted and it has transformed my self-confidence. The staff are professional and the space itself is so relaxing. You will look and feel like a superstar when you leave!
Im almost reluctant to write this review in fear of never being able to get an appointment anymore. Every time I leave Beauty Bar 1947 I feel like a queen, regardless of what I’m there for! The decor, the employees, just the overall atmosphere will have you feeling your best. Im always easily accommodated, greeted with kindness, promptly serviced, SO comfortable in their recliner chairs, and absolutely thrilled with my results! The Shirley is my new favorite service to get there. My eyelashes are curled and tinted to perfection!
10 STARS! The best lashes I’ve ever had! I had been going to salons in NYC for the past 3 years and this little Long Beach slice of paradise blows them all away. The atmosphere is pretty, clean, relaxing, and everyone is super friendly + genuine. I can’t stand pretentious salons and BB is such a welcome place to put yourself in the hands of kind, talented people who really care. Jocelin, my lash tech, is genius - she gave me the super full, long, dramatic lash look the I always wanted but that other techs had said wasn’t possible or they couldn’t do. On top of that, she is fast and ultra high quality as the lashes also stay on longer than I’ve experienced and with zero irritation. Discovering this salon was the best way to start off 2020 and they continue to make my twice-monthly visits an ongoing treat for myself that I always look forward to!
My eyebrows and lashes look amazing! I also got my first facial at beauty bar with Tana. She was experienced and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. All the staff there were welcoming and professional. Will definitely be going back soon!
I have been coming to beauty bar 1947 for several months. I feel like a princess every time I am there. The ambience is super relaxing. Angela has been shaping and coloring my eyebrows. They have never looked better!! Grace does an amazing job with my lash extensions. They are noticeable but natural at the same time. Lauren is so nice and always able to accommodate my needs. So happy I found BeautyBar 1947!!
I was searching at local salons for someone to do my makeup for my wedding occasions. Most salons don’t offer the service and the one that did, was comically bad! Beauty bar 1947 is located in an upstairs space on National and Park, so you may not know it’s there. I got the makeup appt times I wanted for both my bridal shower and again for my rehearsal dinner. The space is decorated adorably and the owner, Lauren and makeup artist Angela were very nice, inviting, and fun to talk to. Angela spent time with me, giving me options and making sure I liked it. They offer strip lashes with or without makeup. My makeup photographed well. I am all about the attitude of gratitude and they even sent me a thank you card! I feel very grateful to have found this place in Long Beach!
Went to beauty bar 1947 to have their signature experience, the Shirley. Angela did my lashes. She went through the process before she began to explain what she would be applying to my lashes and how long the process would take. Being a mom with a baby at home it was important that I could get beautified in a timely fashion. The experience took about 45 minutes and let me tell you it was so worth it. My lashes look amazing. It’s as if I have on mascara 24/7.While I was in the store, I overheard another girl who was also getting her lashes done saying how the studio reminded her of being in a swanky city loft. The decor in beauty bar is beautiful, chic and also relaxing. When you’re only getting a little sleep because you’re up with your baby all night, it’s nice to close your eyes and then wake up looking glamorous!Would totally recommend going to beauty bar to any person who is looking for A quick fix up pampering and. Cannot wait to return to you try another!

It’s as if the staff understands and anticipates your needs.The environment of the bar itself is carefully crafted to have you forget your worries at the door. A boutique experience perfect for any individual looking to relax and de stress while beautifying.The staff is respectful, smart, and masters of their craft. They really want you to enjoy your time there and that is evident.I worked directly with the owner to host a private spa night for my sister before her wedding. Lauren kept the shop open after hours for us, set the spa up with decorations and mood lighting, AND she even went so far as to serve refreshments from a local bakery that she picked up herself. She made sure every detail was tended to and my sister felt like royalty before her big day. I couldn’t recommend Beauty Bar 1947 enough.
People in long beach RAVE about beauty Bar 1947 so i needed to try it out. Let me tell you it lives up to the hype! i went to gets my lips done by Dr.Doshi and i had an amazing experience. Staff is very friendly and sweet, especially getting the procedure i did they made me feel super comfortable. The salon itself is decorated so cute im obsessed. i most definitely will be coming back!!!
I had the ladies from Beauty Bar do make up for my wedding. When I first made my appointment anticipated one make up artist for our group, but Beauty Bar booked me two! This was fabulous, because it didnt take 5 hours to get ready. In addition, they were able to adjust their makeup techniques for the different make up preferences in my group of girls, from a natural look, to more glamorous make up with a full set of lashes! Thanks Beauty Bar for making my wedding so special!
Been getting my eyebrows tinted and shaped here for about a year now and I must say my brows have never looked so good. I have always had very sparse and thin brows, now they are full and shaped to perfection. I highly recommend seeing Angela, as she is phenomenal, professional, and sweet!

Today was my first time getting Dysport injections, and Dr. Doshi and the staff were so knowledgeable, professional, and kind, my anxieties were instantly put at ease. Lauren the owner was welcoming and professional, the doctor walked me through the process step by step, and I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. Everyone was wearing masks and they took my temperature upon walking in, which also made me feel very safe. 10/10 would recommend and will def be coming back soon!
Classy, clean and convenient! This place has a great vibe and gets the job done while you enjoy the serenity all the while. Staff/owner are so friendly, helpful and professional. As for Dr. Doshi- well, it doesn’t take long to realize that he is the gold standard. As a first timer to fillers, he was so helpful and knowledgeable. His dedication to his craft is immediately apparent, so much so that he actually discouraged me from using filler on a certain part of my face where he didn’t feel it would be effective. Instead he helped and guided me in the process and achieved the best result and “bang for my buck”- which I truly respect! I’m thrilled with the results!
Visited Beauty Bar 1947 for the first time today and had my eyebrows shaped and tinted by Angela. She did an amazing job and I’m so happy with how they came out! As a mom I don’t always have the time to pencil in my brows so this is a lifesaver!! Not to mention the atmosphere is chic and cozy. I will definitely be going back soon!
I got a lash tint and a deep cleansing facial, I left beautybar 1947 feeling like a million bucks. From the moment I walked in the door from the moment I left I was given their complete attention. The salon is completely spotless and the decor is great! I felt like I was in a Manhattan salon!
I cannot say enough about Angela at Beauty Bar, the facility is clean, comfortable and beautiful. I see Angela exclusively for my eyebrows and eye lash tint, and she does an amazing job every time! Wish i could give a higher rating then 5 stars!
I can’t stress enough how amazing this place is! The services, the staff, the ambiance, the giant bowl of pink starburst..... I want to move in!!! Love it at Beauty Bar! Today I had a microdermabrasion with Angela she made my skin feel so soft and refreshed. She always gives me the best brows and is always recommending great products and fun new things to try. The Shirley is amazing, having pretty lifted lashes without having to wear mascara is a dream come true. Highly recommend stoping in for a treat yourself day!
I recently got my makeup done by Angela at Beauty Bar and loved my experience! I was hesitant at first because I usually hate when I get my makeup professionally done and end up leaving the salon and wiping most of it off, but since it was for my sisters wedding, I figured one less thing I have to do. Well, I’m so glad I did because they did a wonderful job! I still looked like myself and it was not caked on whatsoever. I definitely recommend getting your makeup done by them for any occasion and I’m glad I know a place that I like for the future so I don’t have to waste any more of my money!

Beauty Bar is by far the best beauty experience ever! From the moment you walk in, you feel so welcomed. The most warmest, friendliest, HONEST, and unpretentious beauty atmosphere Ive experienced. Lauren and her staff makes sure everyone is comfortable and happy with each and every service. I started here with getting the Evelyn done and was always pleased with the results. Now I see Dr. Doshi there, who is beyond incredible, and wouldnt see anyone else but him! Even my niece who travels from Astoria is obsessed with Dr. Doshis work and wont see anyone else but him! Long Beach is truly lucky to have this wonderful establishment!

Absolutely adore this beautiful place. The girls are just lovely and so so talented. It’s such a relaxing ambiance and the staff treat you like a queen. Angela did my makeup this past weekend for a big event. I don’t usually wear much makeup so was a little nervous I would look overdone or not myself. Angela listened to all my concerns and asked me all the right questions so she could know better as to what I liked and disliked. I was absolutely delighted with the end result and I got so many compliments including my husband. Thank you ladies so much and look forward to many more pampering sessions at the Beauty Bar. I think I’ll be treating myself to the Shirley soon x
OBSESSED with Beauty Bar 1947! I’ve been to so many different places for lashes and this one finally meets my expectations. It is super clean and the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. They use the most comfortable lazy boy chairs instead of the typical flat massage tables, send you reminders and are so good with making availability for you. It’s definitely the kind of place that gets to know you on a first name basis. Can’t recommend it enough!
I went in today for the Express Glow Facial after a dermatologist gave me a product that caused my face to break out. Lauren and her staff were so comforting and assured me that my face would get better. Lisa, who did my facial, did such an amazing job and my face felt cleaner than it’s ever felt. I have gotten plenty of facials in the past but this by far exceeded them. Lisa was able to give me advice about my skin while doing the facial which helped me become more knowledgeable about my skincare. I highly recommend Beauty Bar 1947.

The whole staff is always so friendly, but Lauren the owner goes above and beyond for her clients and has personally helped me out when I was in a pinch! Just visited Beauty Bar 1947 for the first time yesterday, I got The Evelyn (eyebrow sculpting and tinting) and loved it!The atmosphere is glamorous & cozy, lounge chair & snuggly blanket?! yes please! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly & make you feel like youre right at home. The prices are also great & beyond affordable, beats anywhere in NYC and anywhere on Long Island. Cant wait to head back.

I’ve been getting lash extensions here for a few months now and Grace does an amazing job! She really takes her time to make sure the lashes come out perfect and that I’m satisfied with them. She does a flawless job at giving me a full natural look. The owner, Lauren is super sweet and always accommodating to meeting her costumers needs. All the staff here are friendly and welcoming!
I live in Manhattan and was in Long Beach for a wedding and got my make up done @ Beauty Bar 1947. They did SUCH an AMAZING job! I’m super critical and I didn’t make any changes to the end result. The make up artist matched my skin tone great and also took pictures at the end both with and without the flash to make sure that it was perfect. (Big sign of a great make up artist). If I ever have any events in LB again, I will definitely be using them!!
I started coming to beauty bar 1947 for my brows prob exactly a year ago! The Evelyn shape and tint is perfect for girls like me who went through high school in the early 2000s thinking it was cool to wax off all your brows (face palm lol). I started doing the lash extensions a few months ago, and lemme tell ya. They are life changing! It’s so awesome being able to wake up in the morning and just have them there! They are effortless, comfortable and natural looking. All the lash technicians are great! I’ve had the opportunity to be glammed up by all of them! Beyond the services I’ve tried, all the staff is super friendly. Lauren, Lisa and Angela are all the bomb. The place is tucked away in Long Beach, but once you find it, you won’t want to go anywhere else. Thank you Beauty Bar!
Beauty Bar 1947 has a very calm and relaxing environment. It was a very positive experience - Lauren is very warm and welcoming and the Dr Doshi was also very engaging. I did not feel like they were trying to upsell me. I really felt they both wanted me to be happy with the services provided and I was. I will definitely be returning!I also am so impressed by the thank you note that arrived in the mail from Lauren about a week later!

Not only do they shape brows to suit your face perfectly, but offer a variety of services, like tinting, lash tinting, curling and lash extensions that make it the perfect one-stop-shop for all beauty needs. I’ve even had a full face make-up done there on multiple occasions. Basically heaven on earth! Found this place through a quick Google search and had to give it a try after seeing all the glowing reviews. The space is small and cozy and SO adorable! Jessica is an angel on earth and gave me the best facial I’ve ever had. I truly felt like I came in with one face and left with a complete new one. I’m beyond happy I found the Beauty Bar, my new go-to beauty spot! Can’t wait to go back!!

This place is girl’s dream! I just went to get my eyebrows done and I loved the way Grace shaped them. Dr Doshi happened to be avaible for a consult and I was immediately blown away by his honest and kind approach. I recently went to Beauty Bar for a facial treatment and could not have been more impressed with the owner, the space, and my aesthetician, Angela. I went in thinking I wanted one treatment and after Angela assessed my face, she recommended something different-which was much more appropriate for my sensitive skin! I can’t so to go back
I recently had my daughters 9th birthday party at Beauty Bar 1947 & it was fabulous!! The girls had an amazing time making DIY lipgloss, getting facials & mermaid makeup!!! They danced & had so much fun doing girl stuff! It was like a sleepover, that I didnt have to host at my house (which was the best part)! Lauren & her staff were super accomadating & understanding, even when I had to add 2 extra girls at the last minute! They had the space made up beautifully. My daughter & her friends felt like real princesses. I got texts from all of the moms telling me how much fun their girls had at the party. I would HIGHLY recommend having a spa party there. It would be amazing for adults as well! Thank you Beauty Bar 1947 for making my daughters birthday so special. Its one that she will NEVER forget!

Visited a week ago for the first time. I needed to wait a few days to see the full effects of my procedures. Im 48 years old. My first time getting Botox and a bit of filler. I was terrified. I truly could not be more pleased with Beauty Bar 1947, its wonderful FEMALE owner, local Long Beach born and raised Lauren Horak, and Dr. Doshi, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in head and neck. Lauren is amazing and runs a top-notch establishment. Beautiful, clean, warm and inviting. Dr. Doshi is a master of his craft. My face looks so natural. My own husband cannot tell I had it done (I didnt tell him beforehand because he said he would hate it!) I truly highly recommend this place to anyone considering Botox and/or fillers!!!

I’ve been traveling to NYC for YEARS to get my Botox from one of the best plastic surgeons in the industry. When I heard that Dr Doshi was coming to the Beauty Bar in Long Beach, I thought it was too good to be true -I’ve been using him for about 6 months and could not be more thrilled. He is so Interesting, intelligent and super passionate about plastic surgery....but for all the right reasons. I research constantly- new procedures and products - each and every time I mention something new I’ve read - he knows every detail of what I’m talking about, and takes TIME to explain. Time is something rare when it comes to surgeons - and Dr Doshi never makes you feel rushed. On top of me professing my love for him - let me go a step further and say that Beauty Bar 1947 is a hidden gem - and I’m greatful I can get superb NYC service and quality right here in my own backyard.
I cannot get over this little gem in Long Beach! The studio is adorably chic, the girls are sweet as pie, and the services they offer are amazing. Angela did my brows and OBSESSED is an understatement. I am so thrilled that a place like this exists in our little beach town (but would happily drive from all over to get here)!

2022-06-17So I am new to cosmetic injections but Beauty Bar was highly recommended. First I started with Dr Doshi who was patient, knowledgeable and kind and I am so happy with my results. I see a difference already! For my second go around I met with Catherine; she explained everything as I was anxious and had my share of concerns. I had no pain during the procedure and I felt confident in my choice to see her as well. Highly recommended Beauty Bar and I will definitely be going back! Super cute space too!

2022-06-30I cannot say enough wonderful things about Beauty Bar 1947! I was first time costumer receiving a service (BOTOX) which I was quite nervous about. Lauren from the get made me feel 100% comfortable and explained the benefits, which solidified my decision. I will also add that I went within a month of my wedding so naturally, I was nervous about any service (especially on my face). Again, Lauren is like the calm positive energy everyone needs and Catherine was just beyond knowledgable when it came to discussing the best course of action. If you are going to get injected, with anything, ever, you want Catherine to do it, she is incredible! Her ability to keep her clients calm, and provide the service in the softest, most delicate manner possible would make me sign up for this service weekly - was it painless... no but if youve ever gotten your eyebrows waxed, or worse threaded, you can handle it! And the results will be way more rewarding! Now the for the results... I am thrilled, ecstatic my only regret is not doing it sooner for my shower and make up trial several months ago. If you are someone who strives to take care of themselves, this treatment is just another step in preserving your body and producing results that match your goals. Beauty Bar 1947 is an amazing business and experience, high recommend! I am the poster-child :) well poster - woman (just with less aging than before)!

2021-12-22I was gifted a Meadow and Bark facial and had an incredible experience at Beauty Bar 1947! The space itself is easily accessible, clean, modern and beautifully designed. The facial room is quiet, the bed was warmed and everything was super clean and comfortable. Tana was my esthetician and did an amazing job. The facial itself was super soothing and relaxing. After my experience I booked another facial specifically for my wedding and they took great care of my skin! I was super worried about my skin being irritated before the big day so they chose a hydro facial which was perfect. I go there regularly now for brow wax and tint. They are amazing and truly care about their customers. Lauren even sent me a hand written card thanking me for my business. It’s an amazing local business and I’m so glad to have found it!

2021-11-23I just got lash extensions done here and I am more than happy with the outcome as well as the time I spent there! Besides my lashes being perfect and just how I wanted them, the space itself is SO pretty, clean, comfortable and welcoming. The owner Lauren is so nice and accommodating. 2021-10-30Beauty Bar has amazed me again. This is the second time I have hired the ladies at Beauty Bar to provide facials for an at-home Sweet 16. Lauren and Angela gave the girls an experience that left them relaxed, educated about skin care, and with an appreciation for facial pamering! Each girl received a beauty bag and a cozy, fuzzy headband. For the girls who were first-timers, they walked out of the room in a heavenly daze. Thanks, Beauty Bar, for making my daughters Sweet 16 memorable!!

2021-11-07I have been going to Beauty Bar 1947 in Long Beach since they opened. I have gotten eyelash extensions, and the Evelyn brow treatment and I am always very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend them and especially Angela. Lauren runs a wonderful business - and the entire staff is pleasant and friendly. I hope to soon get a facial....

2021-11-10Beauty Bar is the single greatest place for anything beauty related. Dr. Doshi takes his time with his patients in explaining treatments and answering all questions. Angela is the greatest eyebrow shaper Ive ever seen. The staff as a whole is incredibly personable and professional and every time I leave I cant wait to come back. Love it here!

2021-04-24Beauty Bar 1947 is a hidden gem in Long Beach. WOW! Lauren, the owner, is so genuine and warm. Angela, Jamie and Jocelyn are all amazing. As soon as you walk in you feel like a princess. The decor (especially the chandeliers) is so welcoming and make you feel like you stepped into a peaceful retreat. Their services are top notch and you can simply tell they LOVE what they do. The salon is so clean and organized and I simply cannot say enough good things about this place. If youre on the fence about treating yourself to lashes, eyebrows, WHATEVER.....DO IT! I promise you wont be disappointed....This place is the BOMB!!!!!!
