My sister booked this salon for her wedding and I cant begin to explain how absolutely amazing they were. We had 7 girls get hair and make up done in 3 hours and all they needed was a make up artist, an assistant, and a head hair beautionist. The owner did everyone make up and did an beautiful job. The girls doing hair were great! Everyone felt beautiful and loved hanging out with the girls at the hotel that we were all getting dressed in! I would highly recommend this studio to anyone! Love Love Love!!!
Charlie and Sophia did a beautiful job with hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids!! They are so sweet and very easy to work with. They really listen to what you want and adapt easily to each persons requests

Beauty Mark was listed as a preferred vendor from my wedding venue and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for both the trial and wedding day.Sue the owner was my makeup artist and she is fantastic! I had such a great experience at the trial that I booked the appointment for my wedding day before I left. She has such a warm and welcoming personality as well, I felt like I have known her for 20 years. She also did my sisters makeup and she looked great. We both wanted glitter and lashes and Sue found the perfect light glitter for me and then this awesome black glitter to match my sister’s look. Sue also offers so many other services there beside hair and we spoke about some skin care services that I will consider in the future and she gave me all of these amazing samples of skinceuticals products!Kirsten did both mine and my sister’s hair and she is amazing! I didn’t know how I wanted to do my hair and Kirsten gave me great ideas at the trial and I left there looking and feeling beautiful. I ended up changing my mind for my style for the actual wedding day and Kirsten was so flexible and my hair came out exactly like I wanted it to. My sister’s hair was exactly what she envisioned as well.Kirsten is also a dog lover and we shared stories and photos of our pooches and that just added to my already wonderful experience.I highly recommend Beauty Mark!
My sister first found Sue and used her for her wedding in 2014 and we loved her so much I ended up booking her for my wedding this past December! Sue and her team arrived early that morning and spent the day with us doing make-up for 22 people! All 22 people were able to get their make-up done in plenty of time for the photographers to arrive to take pictures and us to go off to get married. All of my bridesmaids and family were completely satisfied with their make-up and loved how great they looked and felt that day. Hair and make-up was definitely the least stressful time of our day and we loved that Beauty Mark Spa was a part of it! I loved my make-up and continue to see Sue at her salon for laser hair removal which is also a fabulous service she provides! I would certainly recommend her services to anyone and look forward to my visits at the salon :)
Beauty Mark Spa and Bridal Studio saved my day. My original hairdresser cancelled a few weeks prior to my wedding. I called Beauty Mark Spa at the recommendation of our venue and they were wonderful. They squeezed me in and found a wonderful hairdresser who was free for my wedding day. In my practice session, Leslie styled my hair in three different ways so I had great choices. On the day of my wedding, she was wonderful and styled not only my hair but my mothers and sisters. I highly recommend Beauty Mark Spa since their work is beautiful, professional and reliable.
I am so grateful that I found this gem! The facials are incredible and I recently went in for a 6 inch cut after having long hair all my life. Not only was the cut, gloss, and blowout amazing- but the experience was top notch. A true neighborhood salon, housing incredible talent, where I look forward to going and enjoying a social experience. Shoutout to the owner, Sue who makes you feel like you are THE MOST IMPORTANT client. Vito is super friendly and a pleasure to chat with when calling in to book appointments. Kirsten changed my entire attitude with my new look and is very knowledgeable in her craft. Looking forward to the next service- perusing the long menu finding an excuse to come back!!!!
I booked them for my wedding and could not have been happier. Sue did our makeup and Kirsten did our hair, everyone loved how they turned out. These ladies are professional but they make the whole experience fun. Everyone at my wedding was giving us compliments and asking who did our hair and makeup. I highly recommend them!
Had a great experience at Beauty Mark Spa. I had various areas done for Laser hair removal. Susan is great. She really makes you feel comfortable and is very knowledgeable. State of the art machine. I have been to other places for laser and would definitely say I had best results at Beauty Mark Spa. Loving not having to shave!!! Staff is friendly and courteous too!

Its not any surprise that Sue and Beauty Mark Salon has so many high ratings, they are phenomenal. I had two trials and knew I was going to look stunning on my wedding day. I also had extenuating circumstances where my mother had to be done after me, the bride and Sue was without question accommodating. She was compassionate making her so amazing and easy to work with. She also helped my 16 year old niece and maid of honor, by educating her in makeup, a passion they both have. I thought that was extra special. They were on time and finished in enough time for photos. I completely was at ease. The only reason why I am not rating five stars (would rate 4.75 stars but cant) is because of one minor incident when I called the salon. I dont know who I spoke to (not Sue) but when I was trying to figure out a timeline for the day, related to my mothers situation, I felt the woman I spoke to push her thoughts on how my day should go leaving me feeling a crappy. Once I spoke to Sue and ironed it all out, I felt better again. I highly recommend Sue and Beauty Mark for your wedding day!
My bridesmaids and I had our hair and makeup done by Sue and Kirsten for my wedding this summer, and I am so pleased that I chose them. None of us typically wear makeup or have particularly stylish hair, but Sue and Kirsten listened to what we wanted and didnt pressure us into doing anything over the top. When one person in my party was initially unhappy with her hairstyle, Kirsten immediately went back to work until my bridesmaid was happy with it (which she was - she even said that the style is what she wished she had for her own wedding!) I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and though it was a more makeup than I am used to wearing, everyone commented on how natural it looked. I would highly recommend booking Beauty Mark!
I went for 6 months of laser hair removal treatments. During each visit, the owner, Sue, was professional, pleasant and efficient. She made me feel at ease and any discomfort was minor.My interactions with other staff members were also very good - they all go out of their way to make customers feel welcome and important.Highly recommend.
With the current situation surrounding small business I am completely satisfied with the precautions that BeautyMark Spa is taking.I got a haircut & was impressed with the contact cleaning & social distancing procedures.I also got a waxing & was amazed at the procedures placed in order to keep everyone safe.Both of the Professionals that worked on me today were very knowledgeable & skilled.I will be going back every 3 weeks for more services.This Amazing East Islip Gem is a must see.The design is incredible also ! 5 STARS !!
I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding the first time I met Sue and her team. It was my first experience getting my makeup and hair done professionally. Even though I wasnt the bride I was extremely nervous. Sue and her team were so catering to everyones feelings and emotions. They did whatever they could to make EVERYONE in the party happy. I would highly recommend. On a side note, their brow and eyelash studio is amazing as well! Whenever I walk into their studio they make me feel right at home.
I purchased a groupon for 6 session for Laser Hair Removal. The salon is very clean and each time I had an appointment, I did not have to wait. They took me at my scheduled appointment time.The entire staff is friendly and courteous. Susan, the owner, is very knowledgeable and professional. Although I had great success during my sessions, there were some stubborn gray hairs on my chin which the laser would not remove. Susan also has an ultraviolet ray machine, which works better with the gray hairs.We started using the ultraviolet in addition to the laser on my fourth session, because that is when we noticed them. I am so grateful to Susan, because she did not give up on me. She was determined to give me the results I wanted.We extended my visits to three additional session at a very reasonable price, so we could continue to work with the ultraviolet treatment. I have 2 sessions left and happy to say this seems to be working!Make sure you communicate what you want and if you are happy with the results. They cannot read your mind.Susan and her staff are eager to please their customers and always make you feel special. I am so glad I found Beauty Mark Spa and would highly recommend them.

My wedding took place on 11/17/2019. Vito and Kirsten were a pleasure to work with. They were polite, pleasant as well as professional. Vito does a remarkable job with makeup and Kirsten is an incredible hair stylist. They made the morning of my wedding a beautiful and fun experience. I started going to beauty mark spa and bridal studio last year for laser hair removal. My mother bought me a package for laser hair removal (12 treatments) head to toe. I am in treatment number 10 and I already have about 95% permanent hair removal. The prices are GREAT the technicians are knowledgeable and licensed. The beautiful comfortable atmosphere has always made my treatments a pleasure. If youre not going to this one stop beauty shop for something you are truly missing out.
Sue did my makeup for both of my sons weddings and I could not have been more pleased! She made me look ten years younger and my makeup lasted 14 hours!! She is SO talented, professional, and accomodating. I recommend her highly!
Rebecca and Laura did everyone’s hair for my wedding and they were hands down, AMAZING!! I have honestly never felt more beautiful in my entire life. They did such a beautiful job on my bridesmaids’ hair as well as my mom’s - my mom is always critical of how she looks and she was honestly blown away by how gorgeous her hair was. She felt so stunning and that made my heart so happy! Not only are they both so talented, but they are SO fun to be around!! They traveled to my house on my wedding day where we were all getting ready. Couldn’t have asked for two better people to kick off my wedding day with! Trust me, you will not be disappointed. There is nothing that puts a bride at ease like a group of professionals who are upbeat, funny, complimentary, and make what could be a chaotic atmosphere absolutely FUN. I got my hair colored for the first time at Beauty Mark last week with Fallon and I cannot say enough great things about the salon and Fallon! Fallon came to work early for me to accommodate my busy schedule. I made an appointment for a full head of high lights because that’s what I thought I needed and she told me I would only need half a head. Fallon is not a saleswoman she’s a true professional with amazing talent. Every time I have gone anywhere else for my hair they would try to up sell me forcing me to get stuff done I didn’t really need! I would walk away spending a lot more money then I thought I was going to and not pleased with the results. I will definantly be returning to Beauty Mark for any future salon needs! The atmosphere and everyone who works there are so warm and welcoming!
Did my wedding...they were amazing!!!! They made ever person look like the best version of themself. Friendly, reliable and amazing work. My hair and makeup was everything I could have ever imagined. We are SO thankful to have found you to get beautified for my brothers big day. My mom, sister and I needed services and were recommended by my brothers venue. Susan was amazing and was able to accommodate us, despite it being a very busy and popular date. The salon was adorable! Intimate and so nicely decorated. The music was great. The girls even let us pop some bubbly. It truly made for a fun morning. Kathy did our hair and Joellen (spelling?) did our make up. We were so happy!!!! The make up was the best Ive ever had by far! Aside from the great work, the ladies were sweet, fun and kind to hang with. We couldnt have been more happy to have found them and couldnt be more bummed to live so far away! I worked with these lovely ladies for my wedding hair and makeup trial a few months ago and for my wedding a week and a half ago. They are fun, friendly and great at what they do. They made me look so beautiful for my special day. The hair and makeup stayed put from 10am to midnight. Throughout an hour of pictures in the HOT sun, pumping gas in my wedding dress, a 4 and a half hour wedding WITH POOR AC, 4 hours hanging out at a brewery with friend and family. And lastly a trip to red robin for burgers!!! It was a great day and Thanks to them I looked great all day!!! Mel and Fallon did my makeup and hair for the day and trial. I would definitely use them again for beauty services if I get the chance!!! Danielle
Another great experience at Beauty Mark! Had an updo done for a black tie wedding I attended yesterday. Rebecca did my hair and she was so patient and thorough; she styled it THREE times before she was satisfied with the look. She wouldnt let me leave until both she and I were happy. I was in and out of the salon in 35 minutes. As a side note: Leslie, the stylist who did my hair for my own wedding a year ago, was there and she remembered who I was and was so curious to see how the rest of the day went. Was so sweet of her to say hello!
Due to writing my honest review of Beauty Mark Spa, Inc. for the poor experience on the day of my sisters wedding, I am now served papers threatening of a law suit. I assume that anyone who reviews the Spa under 5 stars, or has a negative experience, is sued by the owner, Sue Halbert. Who sues a client unhappy with their service? I have never heard of any business practice suing unhappy customers. In my opinion a successful business owner ought to reach out to unhappy customers in the hopes to rectify the situation, after all she was payed in full.Original Review:If you want an unreliable makeup artist and stress on your wedding day, then book it with the Beauty Mark Spa & Bridal Studio. Highly do NOT recommend. Terrible experience, very rude.I cant believe the good reviews I am reading... The owner of the salon did makeup for the bride and bridesmaids for our wedding. Disappointed is an understatement. Sue overbooked herself and left the premise to do makeup for another client. Leaving 2 of the 7 bridesmaids with lashes falling off and the bride very upset due to the fact that Sue thought she could do the brides makeup with her dress on ---- the wedding dress that has been kept in a closed room to keep clean for the moment the bride gets dressed. After pleading for her to return to finish the makeup and correct all errors with the bridesmaids, she threw the wedding off by approximately 30-45 minutes. Leaving much less time for the fantastic photographer to take pictures. Extremely rude. Also came unprepared -- I called a week ahead of time to remind them to bring the makeup director chairs for hair and makeup, they still came unprepared with only one chair of makeup and hair for 7 girls plus the bride. Hair was a catastrophe as well -- 5 out of the 7 bridesmaids had to get theres re-done.My sister recently posted her honest experience on here and is now being threatened by the owner. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
My experience here was HORRIBLE. This happened several months ago. I wanted to get a nice gray balage on my hair so I went to Beauty Mark Spa to get a hair cut and talk to the hair stylist to ask of they could do it. I knew it was gonna be a hard and long process because of my dark hair, but I knew it could be done because Ive done it before and it looked beautiful. Anyway so the girl told me she could do it and was actually confident about it, so I booked an appointment with her and we started the process the week after that. Long story short, she bleached my hair 3 times in 2 sessionss, I spent about $700 and ended up with a raw chicken color on my hair. I was very upset with the color so I tried to hide it with other colors (on my own), but none of them worked because the color was so uneven, there were some parts that were yellow, others orange and some were gray. I went back to the establishment and the owner apologized and advised me to talk to the new girl in charge of the hair. I tried to reach her several times but she never answered or at least tried to speak to me. After that I had to cut my hair because it had an uneven color and was literally dead from all the bad treatment. I feel like I threw $700 to the garbage. It was a lot of money, a terrible experience and I practically lost my hair.
Susan Halbert gave me a facial last week and my skin has never felt better. It was so relaxing and the products are top notch. I was away in Florida and she knew exactly what to do to hydrate my skin and leave my tan still glowing. Thanks Sue and Beauty Mark! This is a home away from home! Myself and my bridal party had our hair and makeup done at Beauty Mark and could not have been happier. Susan and Kirsten opened the salon earlier for our midday wedding and had us out the door in no time to get to our venue for pictures. i had so many compliments on my hair and makeup and looked exactly as Id hoped on my big day. The makeup was good, the hair came undone within an hour of the wedding. I was devastated and nearly six months later I still wince thinking about it. It’s so sad looking at our wedding pictures mid ceremony and after when I see my hair. I wish I could remember her name, that did it but I’m at a loss. I will say my husband was so disappointed in my hair that he still hasn’t changed his background on his phone to a picture of us and has the trial still. His words were “Did you change what you were doing?” It was and still is VERY upsetting. For the amount they charged (and were rude about the tip received) they aren’t worth it. Plus they gave us no notice they were bringing a third person and charged us more which I, as the bride covered. I’d stay clear of them.
I was a SSFPA client who was transferred to Beauty Mark Spa to continue my Elos treatment. I was delighted by how friendly everyone is there. They clarified the whole SSFPA situation, which is a frustrating one, but Im glad it ultimately led me to Beauty Mark Spa. Sue was quick and professional, the cost was very reasonable, and the spa is lovely. I will be returning and I do recommend them!
I had laser with Sue done and she is the sweetest! I literally saw results just after my first session. I have now completed 6 sessions and there is no regrowth. I highly recommend! ❤️
I cant believe all these great reviews. All who was apart of my wedding has written nothing but honest and truthful reviews and the owner stills seems to think she did nothing wrong. She continues to try to take away our right to write an honest review. My biggest regret was hiring this salon. Nothing but a headache. Not only was my wedding day impacted by her but so was my honeymoon.
In my opinion a bride should not cry sad tears on her wedding day, bridal party of 8, Bride, parents and wedding coordinator all disappointed and upset, we were late for photographer due to this service. My daughter, the bride wrote an honest review of her feelings and now while abroad on her honeymoon she is stalked and threatened by a law suit from the owner of this salon! On her honeymoon she is being threatened by a law suit because she was unhappy with the service she received on her most special day of her life. WHO would do such a thing when reviews were requested.

04/26/2016Cant imagine a better Spa nor a more caring, delightful, honorable and talented woman to be at the helm. I have had outstanding service and incredible results every time I visit this Spa.I wish I could have brought Sue and her staff to England with me for my sons wedding. I believe she can rival anything the Royals could create.
I’ve consulted with a few licensed esthetician’s about dermaplaning because I wanted to find a treatment besides chemical peels that would help with hyperpigmentation. None of them were in my area so I searched on yelp for who was and found the beauty mark spa. I looked on their website and dermaplaning was listed under their facial treatments it also stated that all facial treatments come with steam, extractions and a mask. I booked an appointment for April 25th they scheduled me with olga. I get there on time fill out the paperwork then I’m taken to Olga. She starts asking me why I want a dermaplaning treatment and I told her it’s because I want to improve my hyperpigmentation and dark spots. And my hyperpigmentation isn’t horrible but you can see a difference between my face and neck. So she’s says most people face is darker because of sun exposure and that it looks normal and that I shouldn’t be doing anything and the treatment isn’t right for me which is fine that’s her opinion but I’m not expecting to be shades lighter just even my complexion out some. Then laughing it off she says she doesn’t see what I’m seeing like I’m imagining it or something and that she never heard of dermaplaning helping hyperpigmentation. And she’s starts telling me I’d need some sort of bleaching cream or lactic acid if I wanted to lighten my skin. I promptly told her I don’t want any kind of bleaching cream (I’m black and that’s a really touchy subject) also I told her I get acne scars easily and she tells me it’s because black skin takes longer to heal and I say okay but I still want to try and reduce because it’s been a while and they won’t go away and she keeps repeating herself and she brings up bleaching cream again. So as she’s cleaning my face I ask her when she’s going to start the extractions etc and she tells me that’s for facials only and I’m scheduled for a 30 minute dermaplaning session and I’m telling her it clearly states on the website that it does she starts acting as if she’s annoyed and saying it’s extra if I want a facial too and she doesn’t have time for that because she has another client right after me and if I want a facial with it I’ll have to reschedule. Then she’s tells me that because I have a few pimples she can’t do dermaplaning because she’ll have to avoid the bumps which I should’ve been told when I booked the appointment.She said if I still wanted to go through with it she’d have to avoid them but she wouldn’t advise it. All in all it was a bad experience and she came off very condescending and I got the feeling that she was in a rush and didn’t really want to service me. I wasted time and money getting there just to get nothing but “advice” I already knew the only reason I listened was because I’m too nice and didn’t want to be rude. So I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place.
Fabulous service! Had my first experience with laser hair removal and Sue was amazing, plus it didnt hurt at all! Will definitely be coming back for future treatments.

Unfortunately, I am required to rate this service at an inappropriately high ranking of 1/5 Stars. In reality, the encounter would resemble zero out of those five stars. Very unprofessional, left the premises without permission, was unable to be reached immediately despite several calls to both her personal, and business phones. One simply does not need all of that additional stress on their special day. A professional business ought to be able to accept both the positive, and negative reviews when requesting them so passionately.
Makeup came out okay but I want my money back for my hair. It’s so upsetting. And this is OVER a year since our wedding. Don’t use them.

2022-04-26Beauty Mark is without a doubt the go to bridal salon on Long Island. From my trial, to my bridal shower, to my wedding day... I couldnt believe how flawless and consistent their work was and still is! They use nothing but the best make-up around and air-brush like goddesses. 2022-08-02Our daughter got married in June and we used Beauty Mark Spa, a recommended vendor from our wedding venue. Sue and her staff traveled to the Riverhead hotel and provided hair and makeup services to a large bridal party and 2 moms. Their work was impeccable! Not only did their professionalism and artistic style complete the day, but their personalities and humor helped make what could be a stressful time, a lot of fun! 2022-07-28Nicole and Melanie are magicians! Within minutes upon my arrival to the shop I new I was in capable hands. Having had surgery several months ago, I lost half, if not more of, my hair from anesthesia. Didn’t know that was “a thing.” I had been stressing about it for months because I wanted to wear what was once a thick head of hair in an updo for my son’s wedding. Nicole was able to use “gadgets” in my hair to make it appear more full. Melanie did my makeup. Seeing as I’m a girl who thinks being made up is wearing mascara AND lipstick I was very apprehensive. I still wanted to look like me, only better. Melanie did a fabulous job in doing just that! Kudos to Nicole and Melanie! You both are extremely talented! Thank you so much for making me feel beautiful and at ease.

2022-06-08As the mother of the bride I knew I had to look my best. Beauty Mark went above and beyond - my makeup was just right (and I am picky). Not too little and not too much. My face looked flawless :) My hair was amazing too. My hair is all white. The style - all big curls - was beautiful. I have never received so many compliments. 2022-03-26I get Brazilian and underarm laser hair removal done by Sue, the owner. She is absolutely amazing!! So sweet and personable. I bought an 8 session package with her and we are on session #6 and my hair is almost completely gone in time for summer - she is great at what she does!! Front desk is always so nice and helpful. Overall, great service!

2022-05-17I get monthly facials here with Sophia and she is the best! I had bad cystic acne all over my face last year. In 4 months, my skin was clear and smooth for my wedding day! 2021-11-10I am so impressed with Beauty Mark so far! I first heard about them when looking up stylists for my wedding. I trialed with them for my engagement pictures. Jen did an amazing job, it came out even better than the inspirational picture I showed her! She was also kind enough to re-style it for me for the pictures (because I wanted to save that style for the wedding). Then today I got my hair cut with her. It came out so great! I will be going to her from now on! I highly recommend them, especially Jen. I know I am good hands for my wedding!

2022-07-29*GREAT EXPERIENCE* I was a brand new customer taken short notice for an appointment, they welcomed me like I had been there before. The service I had was a blow out which was handled awesome from start to finish. The stylist Nicole was personable and patient with my hair. I will definitely be back to this salon and I recommend them to anyone new like me :)
