My order supposed to be ready at 1:50pm, the girl who work alone inside checked my order and started to make it after check the printer. No apology, no any words , wait like another 15 mins in store. I place my order online don’t even know how to cancel. This is not fast food , this is French fries with French speed. Waste my time.
It feels overpriced. Pomme frittes definitely beats this place. Id buy again to try another sauce. The sauces were not all amazing. The most popular flavor was also the most expensive as the worker said. That was probably a lie. Had 4 sauces from my friend trying as well.
I had the best experience at Bel Fries the other day. The staff was so helpful in helping me choose my sauces and the fries were SO fresh and delicious!!!
While the fries were good, they were nothing worthy of the exorbitant price attached. A small (and it was indeed microscopic) order of these fries with a single dipping sauce clocks in at $9 - a small at french fry joints is usually enough for you and a friend, not here... Sure you might say they are special Belgian style french fries with an array of dipping sauces worthy of the journey, however I can list multiple places in the city offering tastier fries with just as good of a dipping sauce arsenal.If youre looking for Belgian style french fries, Id turn to Pommes Frites in Greenwich Village for those golden crispy delicacies at a lower price point with more generous portion sizes and a vast array of sauces as well.Bel-Fries does have a trendy interior with modern touches and creative branding, showcasing the ongoing gentrification within LES. Its got fierce competition and does not hold a candle to other choices at the same price point.
Crispy, fresh and delicious. Chunky cut fries.We used to go to Pomme Frites on McDougal but theyve been going downhill. Bel was tasty, large portions a medium was huge. Sauces are rich with nuanced flavors.Def stop in!
Absolutely love this place!! We have been waiting or something like this in NYC. A place dedicated to all things French Fries!I tried the double truffle fries and also got the cheese fries with onions and jalapeños and they were both outstanding!!Its such a fun place to go and get a quick snack. They have a slim table outside that has holes in it to hold your fries cone (the fries come in a cone shaped bag), so you can hang out for a bit and get some fresh air while you eat your loaded fries.
Bel-Fries is 150% my favorite fries spot in the country. You CAN NOT go wrong stopping by here. Whether it’s just for a snack or for a full meal, either way you’ll be more than satisfied when you leave. Wonderful staff, top-notch high quality all natural food served in generous portions have you leaving full every time! Even my man Fabulous represents.

VEGANS BEWARE!!!Stopped by this place on a weekday for a snack and decided to try the fries which they claim to be vegan. It was clearly obvious to me that their “vegan fry’s” are fried in the same oil as their “pop chicken” - well that’s not vegan at all. One star because you can’t give 0 hate establishments that lie to their consumers.
So many amazing flavors to choose from but for me you cant beat their double truffle! Super friendly owner. For the price you really get a large cup of fries and toppings - so you get your moneys worth! Try it - you wont regret!
Excellent fry shack à la belge served in a cone with a variety of choices for sauces, including vegan options. Poutines available.Sizes of choices run large, we had medium which were a tad too big!The truffle parmesan was the best flavor.Garlic aioli sauce was good too.With Covid-19, this location has a counter with street access, limited contact easy to order.Patio space available

I normally dont eat fries like this, but man, this place was perfect. Two friends and I were at Anime NYC and went to the after-party that ended at 2am. We were hungry and had walked around until we found this place. It was perfect for a quick munch at 3am after some drinks. The fries were amazing especially with the samurai sauce that they had. Definitely coming back for a late night snack after work if I can.

Fast food joint revolving around fries.The fries were hot and seasoned and you can pick and choose your topping and sauce.I had the queso & bacon which was pretty good... A bit messy & slightly greasy but its expected. Its very filling so dont necessarily need a large.Advice...if its saucy and messy, go with the box instead of the cone... Everything will just end up on the bottom.

The prices are offensive and I as a consumer would like an understanding of why they are priced as such. $12.00 + tax = $13.06 for their Classic Poutine. Its one size and a filling portion (for one) I must say. But perhaps its a mental dissonance of Im buying fries, why is it so much.. for fries. I promise Id give you guys more business if your prices were more appealing. But for now its a very-very rare every once in a while purchase.

Im belgian and all forms of potatoes are my favorite things in the world. Was excited to try this new spot! Fries were great, as were the sauces. But a medium size + soda cost $21. Ill be back if the price becomes fair.
YES ! A Whole restaurant dedicated to FRIES ! And they do a hell of a good job making them ! Crispy but not overly burnt and the truffle fries are IT ! 🙌🏽

2022-04-16Bel-Fries has been on my list forever, and I’m so glad I was finally able to make the trip down from CT to try them! The queso bacon fries were delicious, as well as the popcorn chicken. Their small cone size was a perfect portion and didn’t leave me feeling overwhelmed. The artisan sauces were good, and the food was ready fairly quickly. I really appreciated that they had a little sit down area outside! The inside was fun and trendy, and if I were local, I could definitely see myself stopping here when I had a craving for fries.

2021-03-12So so good! We walked by recently and today we decided to give it a try. (I was really craving European style fries).Delicious and super fresh fries and a great variety of sauces!!They actually put the frozen fries in the fryer the moment you order to ensure best quality and a hot product.Classic poutine was great and the small size of Belgian fries with 3 sauces too!The two of us couldn’t even finish both because the portions are huge.Very satisfied!!

2022-05-04My boyfriend and I stopped here late last night and the young man working amazing! He was quick and efficient, recommended some sauces for us to get and overall was just super mind, helpful, and helped put a smile on our faces after a long day. The fries were great-crispy and tasty and we especially enjoyed the roasted garlic aioli. I would definitely recommend Bel-Fries to anyone in the area!

2022-04-22Fancy fries - expensive. Gotta try at least once.Food - we ordered double truffle fries. Very good taste. The way fries are supposed to tasty and crunch. I doubt they travel well, so suggest you eat theem there.Ambiance - trendy hole in the wall fries place.Cost - most expensive fries Ive had. Generous portion. We ordered medium and could not finish (mind you we did have light dinner first)Service - its counter service and no one else was there so it was fast. The attendant was extra friendly.

2020-09-02Stopped by today for the first time and had some amazing gourmet fries (medium)and a bottle glass of coke for $13. I chose the bacon and queso. I must say I enjoyed the whole thing. The fries were very fresh they make it right there on the spot. It was crispy and soft in the middle. Definitely will come by and have more fries in the future. Also customer service was great. They guy that took my order was extremely nice and friendly. He made ordering very easy and explained to me the different types of fries I can make.

2020-08-03Now let me start by saying, I am not the worlds greatest Belgian french fry connoisseur however I consider myself knowledgeable and what goes into a really good fry. I’m traveled the great plains of United States and the seven seas of the world and I found many decadent options and here in New York we already have Pomme Frites Which if you ask anyone to attend NYU, is a staple in and of itself. So when I caught wind that Bel-Fries Had set up shop in town not too far from my beloved Homestead I need it to pay a visit. However, the coronavirus Redirected my plans and I need to adapt however the day has come and I am now sitting in the outside seating section of Bel-Fries. I won’t lie, coming into this I was fearful that my favorite place would be friend but I remain sure however, I will concede, the bel fries is legitimate. The black truffle sauce and the garlic aïoli or not to be reckoned with, the fries themselves or crispy golden and soft and tender in the inside. It makes for everything you would imagine from a french fry experience. I’ll keep this short because I’ve gone on for quite a bit now, if you need Belgian french fries, you know I have two amazing options in New York City. This review was not paid for or endorsed.

2020-05-24OMG. THESE ARE THE BEST FRIES IVE EVER EATEN!! My friends told me to try this new Belgian fry spot that recently opened claiming they serve the best fries in NYC. You could say I had very high expectations going in. These fries far exceeded my expectations... they had the perfect crispyness on the outside with soft potato on the inside. The 13 specialty sauces Bel Fries offers were also AMAZING. It was hard to pick just a few so I will def be going back to try them all. My favorite so sauce so far is the Truffle Mayo.. YUM .. I give this place 11/10, EVERYONE MUST GO!
