My husband and I are weeks away from officially moving in here at Bell Park Gardens. We are so beyond excited to start our next chapter here! Working with management (Jessie and Maria) through the whole application process made everything easier and they always promptly answered the many questions I had. The grounds are beautiful and centrally located to mass transit. We truly cant wait to be apart of this community!

Well-maintained, reasonable maintenance, ample reserves....a great place to live.BUT there is a Draconian flip-tax, and it may not make financial sense UNLESS you stay there 7 or 8 years.Great schools, it makes PERFECT sense for a young family.

Unfortunately I was a victim of the scam that took place here. It was just false promises and hopes and I wish I wasn’t so naive back then. Wasted a lot of money and time here… just to be rejected. Just say no from the start. Save your money and run. It is located in an nice area of queens tho and convenient to commute to work. Some sidewalks cracks here and there. Maybe the DOB should look to see if everything is up to code.

Do not try to buy a co op at this location, extremely strict co op board interview. You end up wasting your money on your attorneys fees, contract fees, and board application fees. Only to find out you get rejected from the board interview. And you are not able to close on the co op. This is a warning for other potential buyers to beware of this place. Do not waste your time and money.

This review is way over due. We were looking into Bell Park Gardens for our first property as millennials stepping foot into the real world searching for a home.Everything checked out great and we submitted our application. We dealt with Maria Petrizzo and Jessie Neilly. Never met these people in person and the only time we had an interaction was when my husband went in and dropped off our application in person. We had emails going back and forth and put down our deposit (a decent amount) to the board and they set a date to interview with us. Great, so here we are thinking everything is going well and just have to pass the interview. Then after about a week or so we receive an email from them saying we were rejected. UM BASED ON WHAT? THEY TOOK OUR MONEY, WASTED OUR TIME, LED US TO BELEIVE EVERYTHING WAS GOING WELL AFTER THE SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION, SET UP A DATE FOR INTERVIEW, NEVER MET US IN PERSON, ONLY TO BE TOLD WE WERE REJECTED?! They are a bunch of scammers just like the rest of the board of Co-ops in NYC. STAY FAR FAR AWAY and just save yourself the troubles. We dodged a freaken bullet honestly so we are happy it turned out the way it did beside them scamming us legally for the deposit and wasting our legal fees as well. After a few months, we closed on a house instead.Bell Park Gardens, go screw yourselves.

If you want to live here, be prepared for your maintenance fees to go up $50-100 dollars every year, and you wont even experience any increase in amenities or services provided given the increase on your bill. Within 5 years, my maintenance fee went from low five hundreds to now in the eight hundreds. Soon itll be in the thousands, and you wont even feel any improvement in your living.

I have been living at Bell Park for years, and in general, am happy with it. After some chaos under the previous board in its last days, things once again seem clearer and now settled down. Maria is exceptionally nice and makes everybody welcome to the office. I really appreciate the board make an effort to be inclusive to many different peoples, and constantly upgrading the property. Thank you. Thank you for your hard work.

My husband (disabled veteran) and I were looking into Bell Park since the development was built for veterans but unfortunately they dont allow dogs, only cats which we feel is very unfair. Many housing allow mid-size dogs. My baby only weighs 8lbs! If Bell Park ever change that law we would purchase in a heartbeat. Please please consider changing the pets regulation. =\/
