Awesome Experience!!My daughter had her hair done by Melissa. She is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about hair. The staff is great, and they offer a clean and inviting atmosphere. I was so impressed with her work I made an appointment for me.
I had a wonderful experience as Saye, the manager greeted me along with Chris! I had Megan wash my hair, trim it and braid it up so I can put my wig under and there was no tension throughout the entire process. I was offered a beverage and we watched a lovely BET show.I will definitely recommend this place to anyone.They don’t take card here, just to note, but they accept either cash or payment through zelle.
My sister got her hair braided there and left very disappointed because it was not what she wanted. She showed the stylist numerous times pictures of what she wanted. She called the owner and explain to him that she did not receive the service she came for. He directed her to come back and she did. When she got there he charged her and additional $20 dollars, despite the fact that he has a 48 hour policy where if the client did not receive the proper service they could come back and have their hair fixed free of charge. She pay the additional $20 to avoid an argument with the owner whom, was rude and facetious. She still left disappointed. She paid $100 dollars for something that looks like a beginner did it. Her mothers day was ruined. This salon is overpriced and the owner is unprofessional. I recommend no one to go there and get their hair done!!! Beware!
Not a fan. It was my first time going here. The owner was nice and friendly when I came in. I had made an appointment for a roller set for $35. I also asked for a trim and deep condition. Then was charged more than double the price and was told they only took cash (which was not mentioned on their website at all). I was not pleased at all with my hair and will definitely NOT be coming back.Reply Update: Let me clarify, I was disappointed with the service as well. After the roller set, I had to request my hair to be flat ironed, because it was not straight after the stylist blow dryed it. And, the trim was not a trim,... it was bad cut.
I’ve had services done here twice with Jules and she is amazing . She’s Such a warm spirit and she did a bomb job on my hair. The salon is very nice and clean and they offer you beverages upon arrival and work in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this place of business especially for natural hair . As stated before I’ve been here twice and it doesn’t stop there . Thanks Jules and the whole BellaGlo staff
Wonderful experience from start to finish. My stylist Ceyon was professional, knowledgeable, neat, and patient beyond words.Unfortunately I arrived to my appointment with the wrong hair but she quickly arranged a ride & accompanied me to the beauty supply store to get the proper hair I need... Big thumbs up for that!Once we got started, she took her time detangling my thick hair, making sure not to hurt because Im extremely tender headed. Every step of the way she explained what she was doing and made me feel super comfortable.I was offered refreshment and the music was great, almost felt like I was on a mini retreat. After a few short hours I was 100% satisfied with my invisible crochet weave by Ceyon. She is AMAZING!!! I would give more stars if I could. I will definitely be back & refer this place. Today was my first time at the salon and the first time receiving a silk press also getting my ends cut by Jewles she was great. she has such a caring and beautiful personality.she made feel right at home needless to say she did a spectacular job my hair came out gorgeous silky and is back to being healthy.the hair products she used were really great i travelled all the way from nj and i am happy that i came across this gem of a salon especially jewles. It was definitely worth the trip. ( deetra)
Bella Glo has been my go-to since its opening. I have formed friendships with staff and owners! They are always very welcoming, knowledgeable, caring and dedicated to customer service. This is one of the few establishments I frequent where the owners are not only accessible, but always working! Very warm and comfortable environment! Plus my hair is always SLAYED!! Thank you!
Absolutely amazing service. Everyone is very personable and outgoing; The salon as a whole creates a family friendly atmosphere that you won’t want to leave once you’re done. I also have the uttermost faith in anyone there, especially Saye and Chris, that they make me look the best I can, and indeed they do!
I had a lovely first time experience with Megan. She was timely and professional and I appreciated the care that she took with my hair. My significant other loved the feel of my hair and the style.
I went to get a simple wash and silk press and it was the absolute worst! The girl that washed my hair didn’t even wash my hair properly it was still flakey afterwards and she had to wash it twice. Plus the silk press wasn’t even done properly either. As soon as I stepped outside my hair was puffy. It was not worth the money at all. So disappointed.
Ive been with my stylist Tish for many years now and when she moved to Bella Glo I remained. The staff there are very kind & helpful. Its a friendly environment. Kim & Tish are amazing, time sensitive, knowledgeable and leave your MANE LOOKING FAB!!
I love getting my hair treated here by my stylist Janice aka JSlay :). I use to go to the usual Dominican hair salons but my hair was badly damaged from assessive heat application. Janice understood the texture of my hair and what treatment was needed to revive my hair. The entire staff is awesome. Love the complimentary beverage which eliminates me having to run to the store for drinks. I recommend this salon if you like professional service and 1st class treatment. The ambiance and esthetics of the salon is great. (A Manhattan modern feel salon in New Rochelle). Is worth the travel from queens.
Normally I have a great experience at Bella Glo but my last (and final) time going was a disappointment. I requested a press with the Etae system. At the final step, the stylist decided she didnt like the smell and refused to put the carmel butter in my hair. My pressed hair lasted all of 24 hours before frizz and poof took over. When I told the owner about the issue, I was told the stylist used Mizani (NOT Etea) as the last step because of my hair texture. Previously, my hair pressed was perfect with just the Etea products. I was told to come in within 3 days to redo the press, free of charge. Any natural girl knows that 2 presses in a 7 day period will surely damage your entire head. Im disappointed because I would have appreciated the stylist to use the products that I paid $80 to be used for my birthday celebration and upcoming interviews. I also didnt appreciated being offered to re-do a heat-intensive style within 3 days, a gesture I perceived as slightly passive aggressive. I hope in the future the Etea system is used in its entirety for anyone who requests the Etea press.
🗣WHY ARENT THERE MORE STARS!?!I waited an entire week to write this. I needed to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Or that this was not some fly by night dream come true that would end when I woke up. Folks, this place is the real deal. I had been debating on cutting my hair for years, heavily within the last few weeks. Suddenly, I woke up and said to myself “just do it”. Only thing, if you live in New Rochelle, you understand the lack of salons specializing in natural styling. The lack of salons owned by Melanin folk. Yes, You have your Dominican salons, but I needed more than a wash and set. I had finally set my heart on cutting off my hair and the only thing missing was a salon in my neighborhood to do it. Bella Glo Beauty appeared in my google search. And like all people nowadays I went on social media to see the REAL reviews lol. I found a recent post on instagram and commented inquiring about walk in appts. Saye, the amazing owner responded that APPOINTMENTS PREVENT DISAPPOINTMENT and I immediately knew this was a salon I could visit. I will admit, I am terrible at remembering to book appts but it was nice to know that if I did, this was an establishment that was serious about their TIME. I expressed to Saye my wish for a short cut and he suggested I meet with Jules for a consultation (FREE). I met Jules at the salon the next day and let me tell you, everything about this woman’s spirit was amazing! You know how you just KNOW when you’re making the right decision? That’s the feeling I had once meeting her and sitting in her chair. I had heard so many stories from friends and family about their own bad cuts, horrible experiences and although I was 💯% sure about my decision, I had absolutely no idea what style I wanted lol All I knew was I didn’t want to look like a bald headed fool 🤪. Well, my consultation turned into what was now the best decision I’ve made in a long time. I got so many compliments on my curly cut. Jules took her time and actually LISTENED to what I was saying, she actually TOLD me I was going to love my cut when she was done. I even FaceTimed my mother because I needed someone to see how calm I was about it all. My mother almost cried, but that’s another review lol. It’s been a week and I played in my hair so much that I had to go BACK to Bella Glo Beauty to see Jules and Saye AGAIN. Between the gym and falling in love with my hair so much that I couldn’t keep my hands out off my hair, I now needed a refresh. Jules greeted me with that same smile, only this time it was accompanied by a hug. I could go on about my newfound love of Jules and her curls. I could tell you a host of reasons why Saye and his team are THEE best in New Rochelle. But if you’re STILL reading this, you’ve already made your decision😉👌Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I mean, you could not go that would only mean more Jules for me, lol. But Bella Glo is the kind of place you WANT to share because everyone deserves to have a GREAT place they can go to feel beautiful. Ok. Now why are you still reading? Go make your appointment!
So Ive lived in New Rochelle for almost a decade and have gotten my hair done professionally since 9 years old. Im also an army spouse and have had the horrors of culture shock teach me just how easily hair texture will make or break expertise of staff within salons. And yet, I found myself profoundly impressed by the quality of service at Bella Glo Beauty Spa. For those of you who seek dominican salons, or to my understanding those qualified & experienced in hair texture like to mine (Black/Latina), THIS PLACE WILL AMAZE YOU. Say goodbye to the rollers under the dryer for 30mins-1hr, and say hello to a total duration time of 2 hours (back bra strap length btw). Kenesha is AMAZING. (Hope I spelled that right!) Now I must give 4 stars instead of 5 on account of my hair lasting 1 week versus the usual 2 - the Silk Press was probably a little more product than necessary on my hair, BUT DID WONDERS FOR MY SISTER (done only 2 hours later also) and her hair is a slightly thinner. Now ladies, it is a little pricier than the ideal wash n set charges but THE VALUE IS THERE GIVE IT A TRY AND SEE! Silk press is $55, and again Ill probably just do a blow out for cheaper next time and be fine with the results, because theyre THAT GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO! P.S - Owner is Male
WARNING !!!! DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!!! I went there to get my twist done and they charged me 150$ you would think I got my moneys worth cause most people start at 100$ but Sadly I Did not. I had brought 9 packs of hair with me, the packs of marley hair are 6$ a pack not cheap. So the lady I think her name was Jackie something with a j. First she blows out my natural hair without asking me if it was okay because I do not put heat on my hair. She has her daughter take the hair out the pack and separate it and it as shes doing that its getting tangled and at the end there had to be AT LEAST TWO OR THREE PACKS ON THE FLOOR. I Ended up having to buy 7 MORE packs of hair making it a total of 16 packs at 6$ each. Then shes braiding my hair and they keep coming out loose and she tried to blame it on me for not holding it right when she twisted it. HOW LOOSE OR TIGHT THE BRAID IS DEPENDS ON HOW TIGHT YOU BRAID IT NOT HOW I HOLD IT WHEN YOU START TWISTING. So after a LONG 6 HOURS she finishes and tries cut up and down the twist to get the frizz off and she goes TOO FAR UP AND CUTS MY HAIR. After that I was immediately uncomfortable and told her to stop and not do the rest. IT HAS ONLY BEEN 1 WEEK since I left and my hair looks like its a month old. I have had about 5 FALL OUT and the rest are about A INCH OFF MY HEAD. I went back to get them fixed and asked if someone other then Jackie or what ever her name was can do my hair and he kept saying no she has to do it. IF SOMEBODY MESSED UP YOUR HAIR YOU DO NOT WANT THEM TO DO IT AGAIN. I also said i think they should pay for the new packs of hair and he disagreed as well. SO YOU MESSED UP MY HAIR AND DONT WANT TO COMPENSATE? .. After spending $250 TOTAL on these twist that should last me at least a month I ended up having to take them out after a week with no sympathy from the stylist or the Owner. Like I said WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Highly disappointed by the unprofessionalism at this Salon - particularly in regards to the nail salon portion. My friend and I had scheduled appointments to get our nails done, rushed to get there half an hour early (as urged by the owner), only to arrive and have a walk-in customer serviced during our scheduled appt. time. What is the point in having appointments if you are not available for the appointment?! We sat and waited for over 40mins, without a single person working there, including the owner, saying a word to us or offer any apology. While the social media nail posts seem appealing, there is only one nail technician working there, so unless you have time to waste, it isnt worth it. The owner feigned like he thought the man getting a simple manicure ahead of us (that took over an hour btw.) was part of our party, to try to weasel his way out of an apology. An absolute disgust and waste of time. I dont care how shiny and new a business seems, you should have more professionalism especially considering youre trying to retain new clients! But nope, not this place. Even more disappointing because this is a minority owned business and I was really hoping it would be great.

2022-01-08I went here last minute for my birthday. My original hair stylist canceled on me last minute. Thankfully I was able to find the is gem of a hair salon. Everyone was super friendly. The place is so clean.Renae did my hair. I got a silk press. It was fabulous! Literally glorious! And I couldn’t be happier.

2022-02-09Got my hair blowed out and flat ironed here for the first time and it was a great experience! Saye did a great job with my hair, he was very gentle throughout the process (I have thick curly hair). The service was a bit pricier than what Im used to back in the Bronx, but it was definitely worth the cost, considering this is salon is spacious and has many services. Will definitely come back!

2021-08-13Honestly, I wouldn’t say this place is the best. They’re unclear with their procedures. The business hardly picked up the phone. They’re hardly available during their open hours for a phone call. They’re overpriced when their hairstylists can’t do what you specifically want. I was skeptical about this place because even their email isn’t an actual email. It doesn’t exist. The place was clean overall but they need to be clear that if you want a certain hair extension style, you need to bring your hair. If you’re tender-headed if you ask them to loosen something (my hairstylist) didn’t want to remove the hair extensions because it was already done. I had a painful headache for a few days even when she tried to loosen a few. The website needs to be fixed, add specifications. And the paying options are either Zelle or cash. It seems like you’re only paying the owner except for the hairstylist. I gave her too because even when she didn’t remove the hair extensions to properly make the braid less tight she was always offering to see if I was okay or needed water. There’s no cash register. They say that you need to come in with clean dried hair and never tell you if you need to moisture your hair. What upset me the most was trying to contact them. Add a box on the appointment section of your website to allow the customers to specify how they want something done. I wouldn’t recommend coming here again because it was kinda shady. The person who picks up the phone calls is the owner itself. They don’t have a receptionist or anything. He’s unclear with his instructions and never likes to keep the call going to help you out. This place deserves 3 stars. It wasn’t as great as I thought it would be but its not the worst.

2020-07-25My appointment was with Megan and she did such an amazing job on my hair. I had gotten a Etae premium silk press and honestly my hair hasnt felt better. she took the time to explain to me each part of the process and answered all my hair questions and gave me some tips on how to keep my hair healthy. I would definitely book with her again. Also the salon is very clean and has a good atmosphere.

2020-06-20I booked a 9 o clock apt on a Saturday and the stylist asked me where is the braiding hair. Their website does not mention anything at all about bringing hair with you. Anybody I have ever got my hair braided with states on their site that you need to bring hair because it is not provided. The lady that did my hair did a great job and I will be back. The owner however needs to get the website and policies together.

2021-04-17I liked how my hair turn out. But, the process took seven hours. It took too long to finish. Also, I had a deep conditioning done. However, it only lasted a day. I had to reapply a leave in conditioner the next day. Although, the color balayage came out pretty.

2019-12-16I havent been to a hair salon in over 10 years. After about 3 years of research and reading reviews I finally decided on this place. My stylist was Megan and she was very good. I orginally went in for flexible rod set but then decided to get my roots touched up and silk press. Everything came out great. The place is clean and the people I did see was friendly. The prices are reasonable and they accept cash or zelle pay. I will definitely be coming back but this time to work on my natural curly hair.

2020-04-04The day before my birthday I HATED my hair. I called and not only did they stay open late to do my hair (completely helping to make it a birthday to remember) but we were able to discuss my hair health and I left with a serum I am hopefully will revolutionize my hair. I had never felt so seen and cared for. Cant wait until this is all over so I can be a repeat customer.
