My husband and I will be strongly recommending the Bella Rose B&B to everyone we know who plans on vacationing in the Finger Lakes. Jill & Rob are such fantastic people and the thoughtfulness and dedication they put into their business shows all throughout the house. The house was beautifully restored and is lovingly maintained. The Anna Eliza room blew away our expectations. The tub and bed are so comfortable and the attached, private porch balcony is just the perfect outdoor chill spot. The entire stay really exceeded our expectations, in fact. This was my first B&B experience and both I, and my husband who has stayed at quite a few bed and breakfasts, both were awestruck by the overall experience. And I didn’t even talk about the breakfast part of it yet! Amazing! Jill’s scones are out of this world and they do such a great job in the presentation and serving in the dining room. Jill & Rob are also great conversationalists and know the area very well, which was super helpful. We truly can’t compliment them enough as they made our little honeymoon stay in Canandaigua so fantastic. They even had rose petals arranged in a heart on the bed and a box of truffles and a card welcoming us and congratulating us when we arrived. The location is also perfect as their is a museum across the street and the downtown village is only about a 20-30 minute walk away. We’d also strongly recommend dining at the Yacht Club, which the Bella Rose is a member of! Six stars out of five!
This was our second time staying here. The house is beautiful and perfectly maintained. The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and they are so accommodating. The breakfast is absolutely incredible, better then any resturant. The food was creative and unique both times. This time, we were able to stay in the biggest suite with a two person jacuzzi and we loved it. It was the perfect little getaway from Rochester for an anniversary celebration. We cant wait for next time!
Our stay here at Bella Rose was lovely. It was my husband and my second time visiting. It was even better than I remember. We were greeted with kindness and warm at our arrival. We checked in and were given options around town for food and drink ideas for our visit! Everything at the BNB is neat and clean. We were the only suite rented for our stay for covid precautions and it was like we had a home away from home. We had the fire place, jetted tub, and more than enough space. The breakfast was out of this world. Like no where we have been. Everything is made with such loving care and detail. There is nothing that is overlooked. To the silverware on the table to the breakfast that Jill and Rob serve you. It is the perfect get away.
My wife and I spent New Years Eve at the Bella Rose B&B and it was a wonderful experience. Rob and Jill made us feel as if we were visiting family for the night. When we first arrived on the cusp of the dinner hour, Jill met us at the door and went over dinner options in the area and called a few places to check availability and make reservations. This service was done without prompting and with a cherry attitude. We were impressed and appreciative of the effort and ended up with a great dining experience as a result of the time she put in on our behalf. Our room (Ann Elizas Suite) was clean and tidy with beautifully elegant decor that was reminiscent of the name Bella Rose. The Jacuzzi and gas fireplace were extremely relaxing and helped to create a cozy atmosphere as we celebrated the beginning of the 2018. Plus, when we first walked in, there were two new years hats and noise-makers on the coffee table to add a bit of holiday spirit!Breakfast the next morning was exactly what a breakfast at a B&B should be! A communal experience that is significantly more than just a muffin and some juice. We, along with two other guests, were treated to a three-course breakfast of home cooked food that highlighted Jills exceptional cooking abilities and obvious passion for the culinary arts. When we finished our meal, we asked for and received a recipe that we had particularly enjoyed with a few tips to making sure it comes out just right when we try it on our own. While checking out, we discovered that Rob and Jill are both avid hikers with first-hand knowledge of many local trails and were encouraged to return to the region when the weather is warmer for some great hiking.Altogether, we hope to return in the future during a different season so we might experience the hiking and the nice little downtown/main street region of Canandaigua.
What a wonderful experience!! Every part of our stay was awesome....a solid 10 out of 10! Booking was very easy and included great communication to include a list of nearby restaurants and offers of help in any way possible.Jill and Rob are the absolutely delightful owners and they were beyond helpful, accommodating and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and given a brief tour which even included some complimentary snacks and chilled bottled water which were at our disposal at all times. We chose the Ann Elizas Suite which was decorated and maintained to perfection. With a beautiful fireplace, jacuzzi tub, towel warming rack, private balcony and gorgeous custom appointments....this perfectly cleaned room felt as if we were the first to ever stay there. They even provided the nicest of robes and slippers which were sanitized and perfectly hung just awaiting our arrival.Being a birthday celebration....they even had a personalized card and some very tasty chocolate truffles as an unexpected suprise. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts were both absolutely on-time and a perfect amount of food done with a gracious smile. The food was truly a culinary delight from wonderful crepes to warm scones, fresh fruit, wonderful muffins and genuine attention to our every whim. This was our first stay at Bella Rose and I can say that we have already talked about returning.Whether you have stayed in B&Bs dozens of times, or whether this would be your first experience.....I feel extremely confident in heavily suggesting that you try a stay at this one....they knocked it out of the park and it is clear that they love what they do!The pictures that I included were taken this weekend.... May 2016 and they do not do justice to the effort that was put into this home.It was absolutely our pleasure to stay with them!
Jill was a fabulous host even before our arrival. She provided restaurant and kennel info prior to our visit.Surroundings were period pieces but not overly furnished-very tasteful. Comfy bed, fabulous sheets, good breakfast and very nice bath products. She was very accommodating serving breakfast early on our travel day. She and Rob set out wine glasses and chiller as well as extra chairs so we could bring several guests back for wine after our dinner. This is the cleanest B&B Ive ever seen. It was a lovely experience and we hope to return.
This B & B sets the bar for all others! My wife and I had an opportunity to visit Canandaigua for a few days and selected Bella Rose B & B. This home may have been built in the late 1800s, but it has been meticulously restored and maintained. The home, gardens, breakfast and its amenities are all top notch.Starting with Jill and Rob, the proprietors, who were not only friendly, but genuinely interested in us having a wonderful stay. When asked, they offered a variety of suggestions for activities, restaurants and points of interest. We arrived about dinner time the first day, had been driving, and no reservations for dinner. Jill suggested some options, and when it looked like there would be an undetermined wait at most places, she called and got us a reservation at their own private club. Excellent choice. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the sheets are to die for. My wife thought the toiletries provided were exceptional. Also, the breakfast they served was gourmet. You would think you are in a high end restaurant.Because of a last minute change in our plans we were arriving in town a day earlier than originally planned. Jill was accommodating and we were able to stay in the suite for the first night and then moved to our scheduled room for the following nights. The suite is large, while the other room was smaller, but satisfactory in terms of space. The quality of amenities were the same in both rooms. We really felt we were treated as guests (and friends) in their home.In terms of a negative, the only thing I could come up with was after you stay here, other B & Bs won’t look quite as good.
The Bella Rose B&B is well located on Main Street in Canandaigua, a short walk to the shops and restaurants in old town, as well as Sonnenberg Gardens and Granger Homestead. The CMAC concert venue is an easy 10 minute drive away, if you are taking in a show. The inn itself is a beautifully restored Victorian House. The rooms are very clean and bright, and well equipped for your stay with cable TV, DVD and CD players, and top shelf bathroom amenities. Central A/C was very much appreciated,as we stayed during an unseasonably warm few days. For us, the most outstanding feature was Jill, the innkeeper. She is very personable and approachable. She knows the area very well and is proud to share this information with her guests. She is also an excellent cook - the breakfasts she serves each morning (all homemade) were the highlight of our trip.I dont often say this, but we will be back. The town and surrounding area is well worth a visit, but the Bella Rose is the icing on the cake!
A beautiful Victorian home...perfect for a romantic weekend! The home and rooms were just lovely and the woodwork was stunning! Our hosts, Jill and Rob, were friendly and full of ideas for places to visit in the area. The breakfasts were out of this world...absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend this B and B!
Beautiful house, great service, Ann Eliza room was gorgeous with a wonderful double jacuzzi, and a great breakfast. Jill was so accomodating, we booked last minute and I told her I was vegan and was happy with fruit and toast, but she made a delicious breakfast with dairy free muffins and a very filling plate with poached apple, toast, jams, nuts, and fruit. They went the extra mile and we cant wait to come back
Our experience at the Bella Rose was nothing short of spectacular. The hosts, Jill and Rob, were very welcoming and made us feel like we were long time friends. The house was gorgeous and food so delicious. My only regret was that we hadnt booked for longer. Maybe next time :).
We spent our 10 year anniversary here and it was a wonderful experience! We were hesitant to try a bed and breakfast but it was such a unique experience that we were pleasantly surprised. The house is very charming and well kept inside and out! The owners are very nice and knowledgable of the area! They had told us to check out Letchworth State Park on our way home and we were so glad we did. Scenery was breathtaking! Breakfast was great and she was very accommodating since Im a vegetarian!
Me and myFiancé loved this place This place is awesome and well kept up ! We went away for the weekend and it was such a wonderful place to relax and unwind the owner Jill and her husband are the sweetest !! Breakfast was amazing 3 course meal , it felt nice to just unwind and not have to do anything with the stressful ness of covid -19 and being a nurse I need to unwind ! Ha ! . I would highly recommend this place to stay , nice and cozy feels like Home with the Victorian setting ❤️
Really nice bed and breakfast. The owners are very amazing and have a lot of good advice. The place is very well maintained. The breakfast is made by the owner and change everyday. They take care of giving you something that suits your dietary restrictions. My only down point is not related to the bed and breakfast itself but to the size of the rooms: they are small, but other bed and breakfasts in this area are the same.If you plan to go in this area, I definitively recommend this place.
We absolutely were blown away by the level of service, food and the cleanliness and beauty of this place! Jill and Rob are so attentive to everything from start to finish..such an immaculate place..hate to say too much more as they will be booked up and we want to make sure we can come again!!!

2022-07-04We had the most amazing stay at the Bella Rose B & B this past weekend! The inn is an impeccable Victorian home matched by the superb care provided by Jill and husband Rob. They offer the gracious balance of attention and privacy that allows guests to feel welcomed and totally relaxed. Jill offered excellent reservation recommendations and assisted as well! She whipped up scrumptious breakfast masterpieces cooked fresh each morning. Rob served us with unobtrusive elegance and both hosts provided interesting conversation here and there. We wanted for nothing and can recommend this jewel with the highest rating! We look forward to reserving this lovely inn as our special getaway in theyears to come!

2022-03-23Well first of all Jill and Rob are just amazing individuals. They are so kind and have big hearts. You can tell they love what they do and love helping their tenants have an amazing trip. They know all the good spots to eat, hike, and things to do in the area. The breakfast was amazing and very filling! The house itself was very clean and tidy. We stayed in the Ann Elizas Suite and it was amazing. The jacuzzi tub is right next to the fireplace which makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. All in all our stay was amazing, I HIGHLY recommend this spot for anyone looking for a getaway right in the finger lakes.

2022-05-24We had a wonderful stay at Bella Rose. Our room (Evie’s chamber) was cozy, clean, had a gas fireplace and was very quiet. Our breakfasts were delicious and prepared perfectly. The house is lovely with many porches and several sitting areas inside and outside. Also several amenities were included as a courtesy to the guests. Our hosts Jill & Rob were terrific. Very friendly, informative about the area, and cordial. The best bed n breakfast in Canandaigua without a doubt. We will be back soon for another visit. The stay could not have been better honestly. Thanks Jill & Rob!!!

2022-05-18Very friendly owners, and well located within the town. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. There is AC, but it isnt clear that the temperature can be set by the guests and one of the nights was very hot. It was quite quiet and we still were well rested.

2021-10-02This is a great place to stay while visiting the Finger Lakes area. The rooms were wonderful with comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. The breakfasts were awesome and delicious and Jill and Rob were so gracious and helpful. They are down to earth people who demonstrate wonderful hospitality. It was great to get to know them. Our privacy was respected while knowing we could contact them for any issues (which we did not have). Jill was very helpful in helping us know the best routes to take and places to see.

2021-08-30We had a memorable and comfortable stay at the Bella Rose. The room itself was huge and spotless with a hot-tub. The room and the house are both much much more beautiful than the pictures here or on their website. Although it is on main street, once you are inside, the ambiance is calm, relaxing and will transport you to a time long gone by. We had a lot of restaurant and winery suggestions from Jill who also made us a hearty breakfast! If we are ever back in this area, we are sure to stay here once again!

2020-07-29We just recently stayed at the Bella Rose B&B and it was the best experience ever. Jill & Rob are currently inviting just one couple to enjoy their whole place and we got the VIP treatment! The food (she is a fabulous cook), its ambiance and impeccably clean huge room was wonderful. Jill shared so many interesting local areas to see and great dining spots at each location. We loved it there and suggest you check it out if you plan to visit in NY. You will fall in love, too!

2021-06-19We spent four wonderul nights in Ann Elizas Suite at Bella Rose in June 2021. Bella Rosa owners, Jill & Rob, are all about attention to detail. Luxurious bed linens, scrumptious breakfasts, access to a refrigerator stocked with bottled water, restaurant recommedations, and meaningful interactions with Jill & Rob are just a few of the many factors that made Bella Rose such a perfect experience.
