Im shocked to see all of these negative reviews! I have been going here for 8 years after switching out of two other pediatric offices and have never had a problem. I always make sure I make an appointment with a dr, as I prefer to see an MD or DO over a PA. I have never ever waited more than 20 minutes to be seen and 3 of my 4 kids were preemies and are asthmatic, so they get sick pretty frequently. I can even get a dr on the phone when I have questions regarding recent illnesses or discussions. Im very happy here. It takes a lot to trust someone with your childrens health. I confidently trust them with mine.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. If you are looking for a good pediatric office in the area stay clear from this one! I have 3 kids and Ive been putting up with this place for way too long. The doctors leave this practice before you get to know them. They have the whole bunch of physian assistants, couple nurses and trainees. If you want an appointment with a real doctor its nearly impossible to get one. My sons recent EKG was done on wrong side of his chest and they were not ashamed to leave me a message about it. I had my eye exam done there and they couldnt even copy my name without misspelling it! When I asked for medical records to be released, I had to sign the forms twice because they missplaced them, still not all the records have been faxed over to my new pediatrician - 2 months later. They are rude and will do anything not to put you on the phone with the doctor so you wouldnt complain. On the top of all that they will charge you $10 for filling out any forms you need per child. Our new office doesnt. If you are considering leaving this practice, do so, anyone else will take care of your child well being in a better way!
Excellent staff and very clean well kept office. The office clerks are very helpful, the PA’s are so sweet and nice to the kids and all the doctors are great. We have been with them for 11 years and have had nothing but excellent service. Thank you all for your hard work and making the kids feel comfortable
Weve been seeing Dr. Jonathan Jassey for the past 6 years and have always received exceptional care for our 2 boys, not just with Jonathan but the rest of the staff as well. Weve been spared spending days in the hospital when my newborn developed RSV because of their attentive care. I am also thankful they were able to catch my older sons inguinal hernia quickly when we doubted there was anything to even address. With their extended office ours Ive always been able to get an appointment in an emergency which can be frequent with raising 2 rambunctious young boys! They are a large practice with several top notch doctors and physicians assistants who have all been more than capable when we are in need. I will always recommend Bellmore Merrick Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine when anyone is looking for a pediatrician recommendation.
I’ve been bringing my children here for 5 months and I’ve always had pleasant experiences. Dr. Clare is attentive and informative and I couldn’t imagine taking my children to another doctor. But, it’s not easy making it past the front desk. Unlike the other receptionists, Taylor is very rude and disrespectful. Kind of hard taking your children to a doctors office and be met with disrespect and contention. I would lay out the details but I don’t want to work myself up. I have two babies who need my positive energy.
Ive been coming to the this office for past three years for my two toddlers & I have zero complains. Their hours are great, the entire staff is absolutely beautiful & friendly with kids, place is clean. Most importantly they great with kids & take their time with each kid.
I ended up here because I followed my childrens pediatrician when she moved to this practice. I was not thrilled with the assembly line atmosphere or the unproffessional attitude of most of the office staff. However, I stayed because we loved our pediatrician. When our pediatrician retired I figured I would stay with the practice. The unprofessionalism , issues with forms not being completed in a timely matter and rude office staff interactions continued but, I overlooked it because we really only go to the doctor once or twice a year. After this years check up, the physician called and recommended following up with a hematologist, due to bloodwork results The pediatric hematologists required lab results and immunizations records to review inorder to set an appointment date. I called the doctors office, gave the fax number and made the request. After a week , I contacted the pediatric hematologist and was informed the paperwork from the doctors office was never recieved. When I called the doctors office to inquire about the fax, I was met with a defensive attitude and excuses. I requested that they send the paperwork at once and waited on the line for a confirmation. Once the paperwork was faxed, I did not receive an apology or acknowlegdement of their mistake. I will not be returning to this practice. If you require competency and professional service from a pediatrician, I do not recommend this practice.
You only get to see dr jassey for well visits. Michelle the NP misdiagnosed my son and ended up in the hospital. The office never addressed this concern and was rude to me. Dr jassey never even followed up when he was admitted or discharged and we still had to see a PA for his follow up visit.
Scripts not called in on time and impossible to get reliable help here. You will not see a fully certified doctor here only assistants, students, and nurses. Doctors and employees come and go like Grand Central station. No one doctor has been consistent for my children since they switched office locations. Not the place to go for a doctor/patient relationship. It is unfortunate that I had to switch doctors for my kids because of this.
This place is so racist and unprofessional the manager Tracy their manager is a heartless woman who i over heard made fun of another parents Paraplegia child. i had an appointment for 11am and i wants seen till quarter to 1pm when they have their lunch . when i was finally seen i didnt feel like they took a good time assessing me or my child.
Office keeps INCOMPLETE and inaccurate medical records! I discovered this first hand when I was trying to obtain medical records from this office to be sent to my childrens current doctor. Office is unprofessional, unorganized, and overall lazy. I would give this office zero stars if possible.
Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. They forgot to send my kids prescription request to my pharmacy and when I called to inform them hours later that my pharmacy didnt have it they told me to have patience and try again tomorrow. Seriously? I needed the medication that night. Dont go here.
I’ve been going to this office as an adult for about two years they disorganized they were unprofessional I’ve had my blood work McStop the doctor tells you to come in to take the blood they take the blood and they tell you they made a mistake I have since changed primary care physicians I want to see how long it’s gonna take for them to send my records over there if you’re in adult or even a young adult go elsewhere the place is a horror show

2021-09-21This place is truly terrible. I know a lot of might not have faced what I faced however this is my personal experience. The administration over here sucks. Nothings organized . They miss all forms, there’s no record of any forms what so ever . There’s no follow up after you call the reception for a query and they tell to that they’d call back but never calls back. Upon calling multiple times you have to explain each situation again n again..I don’t refer this place instead allied pediatrics at garden city is awesome …

2018-08-27We have never had a problem here, ever. I’m a more than little surprised by the negative reviews.6 year history coming here with my son and 3 years with my daughter. Have NEVER had any issues.Similar to other doctors offices there can be a wait. There are PA’s and nurses here. Not a problem for us at all. We have seen them and the doctors and are absolutely pleased with all of them. They are very professional. If you call in advance for an appointment you are told on the phone who you will be seeing. If you don’t prefer that professional mentioned over the phone simply request a different one. Be prepared though, last minute appointments might not have that many options. We actually started going here due to another pediatrician we disliked who shall remain nameless. We never looked back.Regardless of what you read on google I encourage people to give this office a chance. We are picky people, yet my wife and I are VERY HAPPY with the service they provide for our children.

2020-12-06First let me start by saying that I’ve been a patient here along with my two children for a few years, and I was about to switch because I am unable to get an appointment with Dr. Jassey or Ryan Buckley when I need (both don’t work on Fridays as far as I’ve seen and that’s frustrating). Well last week I brought my child into the office and the provider she saw was nice but I swore to myself this was the last time I was coming there because it’s a long drive and I don’t even see the providers I trust the most. However, I think I might just stay because of this new nurse they have. I can’t remember her name but she was pregnant I know that for sure because we spoke about it and she made me and my daughter feel like family the way she spoke so fondly to us about her pregnancy. She was also able to calm my daughter down when giving her a shot, something that no nurse has ever been able to do before. My daughter broke out in tears when she came in with the needle but she never got frustrated, never told my daughter to “grow up” as some other nurses have said to her before, and she held my daughters hand and helped her breathe through to tears until she calmed down. My daughter went from a fumbling mess to a teenager who looked like she was never afraid of needles! She even let her pick out her own bandaid which I thought was so funny because my daughter is 13 but it made such a difference to her! I told her she should think about looking to work at another office because frankly this one hasn’t been doing so great and she responded by saying everyone has treated her so well there and she’s learned so much she couldn’t see herself working anywhere else! I don’t think I’ve ever met a nurse like her in my life, and because of that I will be staying a patient. If they get more staff like her I think the office could actually be somewhere patients feel cared for.
