I HIGHLY recommend this company! John is #1!Very personable and knowledgeableRecently used them this past weekendJuly 14th 2019,Again very knowledgeable about what they do and quick! Was able to fix my tire while still on my truck.Other towing company before had no knowledge and stripped all 5 lug nuts having to be replaced.
The most unprofessional towing company I have ever encountered. They are liars. They will have you waiting for Roadside Assistance and will NEVER SHOW UP. Then they will have the audacity to lie and say they did. Bellmore Towing should be put out of business. John is the rudest dispatcher of them all. He doesn’t care and isn’t concerned about the customers who are vulnerable and stranded. I am going to make a formal complaint to my insurance company to not use them for towing services ever again. They have horrible customer service. I am also reporting this incident to New York State Better Business Bureau to make sure this never happens to anyone again. I’m literally right outside and he’s saying they were here and I know for a fact they NEVER ARRIVED. Even the auto body shop from where they were supposed to pick up my car is saying nobody ever came in to inquire about my car. How do I know they’re lying? Because they aren’t interested in rectifying the situation. They just moved on to the next service call and don’t give a damn about what happens to me. LAZY LIARS. I did in fact tell John that I would be writing this negative review and his exact words were, “I don’t care what you do.” I already knew that though.
5-8-2020 My husbands car would not start he called AAA for a tow from home. The guy who came said lets try to jump it first. He did saw battery corrosion and told me they have a mobile battery replacement. He called them told me they would be there in a hour. He was very knowledgeable and had great customer service. Bonus they followed all the social distancing rules.
The people who say they were leery of the bad reviews, but used this business anyway, should have gone with their gut. DO NOT use if your are on the fence on this place. I had to get a tow, and John T. who is mentioned poorly several times in these reviews showed up with his bad attitude, and incompetence. I was stuck at a business where people who work with cars are employed, and the were snickering to each other about how bad this man was. One comment was You picked the wrong tow company. When I said to a worker where I was stuck that I was getting worried, he stated Ive been worried. He seemed to have no idea what he was doing. The worst part is, this was a AAA tow, and I should not have been charged. I called AAA, and they told me the same. The man from the tow got on conference call and was incredible rude, even hanging up on them, and refusing to answer questions. Not a nice human being, and cheating customers out of money when they are desperate. I hope these poor reviews will sway some people, and deservedly have a negative impact on their business.
They do all kind of work. Busy as heck and they do motorcycle inspections.
My mom and I broke down this morning on our way to go shopping when her car died. Bellmore Towing, the driver Chris, picked up the car and then drove my mom to the mechanic in Ozone Park where she lives. She told me he was very friendly and they spoke all the way there and he even went in with her to explain to the mechanic the problem with the car and then dropped her off at her home since it was on his way back to Bellmore. Chris was so nice to take care of my mom the way he did and I appreciate the extra care he seemed to give her and I think Bellmore Towing has a great employee in Chris.

Bellmore towing always fixes my car quickly and returns it cleaner than when I dropped it off. The mechanics are friendly and helpful in pointing out problems, explaining how it effects my car, and helping me decide what the best option is for me. I have recommended them to friends and family and have heard nothing but good news in response.
I have been taking my Ram1500 here for the past few years and they really do a great job. They are always very detailed about what is needed to be done and up front about what I need versus what I don’t need. Great people, especially Nick!

I started using this place when it was recommended to me by Sun Pontiac to fix a car that they sold me and were not equipped to fix!!!Been a regular customer ever since- good work fair price.
I had an odd experience here. Everyone is very nice, and not in a salesman-y way. Theres just this weird obliviousness that auto repair is not a leisure activity. I dont know if they just have tons of customers because theyre a AAA towing center, and so you get lost in the mix.I had to bring my car back to them after picking it up because there was a panel dragging on the ground. You literally could see the panel looking at the car - I knew it needed to be fixed, and Im not a mechanic. They just didnt even touch it. The alignment is also off after they put new tires on. I know alignment isnt free, but they didnt even mention it might need to be done. It makes me worry if there is other damage to my car after the accident that they didnt even bother to check for. I wont be going back.
Never take your car here to be serviced. They will tell you a part needs to be replaced or repaired, charge you an exorbitant amount, and leave still having the same problem. When you take it back, they will tell you something new is wrong and another exorbitant amount. These guys are crooks.
When I went to pick up my dead truck, they helped me put it on the trailer. Everyone there was very nice and friendly.
Mechanic said he ran the engine codes and that, “something was wrong with the transmission” (would’ve costed me ~4 - 8k) .. took my car to the dealership and the fix wasn’t the transmission AT ALL ... turns out the fix was only a few hundred dollars

Gave me a quote for $550 to replace fuel pump, I didnt get a good feeling feom the guy behind the counter drinking a beer so I brought it to a different mechanic. He found a small piece of ice in one of the fuel lines and charged me $50. Truck runs great now. DONT TRUST THESE THIEVES!

Had the most TERRIBLE experience. They put a dent in my car which they didnt own upto. They are very high priced and they will do the work and tell you the charges later, along with HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DONT get your car their (even if they offer AAA towing) unless u want to pay extra.They put a dent in my car which wasnt there when I left the car there. It was bad enough that the door wont even open. They fixed the door and the dent is still there.They were nice in helping with towing and getting the car to their shop as fast as they could through AAA. However, when I inquired about the quotes, breakdown, and prices they became very RUDE very fast. Their prices were much higher than other places such as AutoZone and Meineike. Their reasoning was that they offer 1 year warranty on their parts. Well, to their knowledge even if I buy parts from AutoZone (for much less), they also offer 1 year warranty on their parts.When I asked them for a better reasoning, they most RUDELY told me I can pay $70 for diagnostic and take the car away and that I am wasting their time (VERY unprofessional). Originally they had said the diagnostic will be $50. They added additional money for checking the battery, which AGAIN if I took to Autozone, they would have checked it for free.
I know this as Complete Automotive Repair and Bellmore Towing. These guys rescued me after I broke down while driving for Uber. Real down to earth and easy to deal with, as well as fair businessmen.
STAY AWAY!!! If you ever get bombarded by this place, RUN!!! Back in 2007, they have done thousands of dollars worth of repair on my old car, without my consent! And theyre a bunch of slobs too, because all they did was sit around the office eating. Boycott them!
My wife broke down while visiting relatives. Turned out to be a broken wheel hub bearing. Fixed right and done honestly. Took care of us out of towners. Thanks!
Came in for an oil leak they told me in order to determine the cause they needed to do a wash down for $150. They said that they will try and work with me and determined my leak to be the rear engine gasket and would cost $750 to replace.Ended up taking my car to the manufacturers and the leak was caused by a loose drain plug and cost only $30 to replace...
Mechanics missed a number of obvious issues with vehicle right in front of their face,got my vehicle back with scratches,ad to add, the owner has a nasty attitude.

This man was such a sexist pig and disgusting with his comments I couldnt believe that any women would ever take there business there. He spoke about masturbation and would I show him some nipple action. I felt like taking a shower after I spoke with him to get the filth off. NO WOMEN EVER NEED TO GIVE HIM ANY MONEY TOWARDS HIS BUSINESS. DISGUSTING!!!

I have a Dodge Sprinter extended van. Many other companies came and couldnt tow it with flat bed. Bellmore came in less than 2 hrs. Tow driver Joe was amazing!I learned something new! He came with a front pull. Dislocated drive shaft and towed it 20 miles to my shop in Queens. I was impressed....... right away he knew what he was doing and had a great working attitude.I would love to deal with them again!
John at Bellmore towing is both rude and arrogant.Not a good company to do business with.

Great service from beginning to end! The tow driver Mike arrived quickly, was helpful and knowledgeable. Followed up with Jimmy a few hours later, the issue was determined and I was assured that the mechanics would have the matter resolved the next day. Nick called me just after 9am with the best: your car is ready :)

2022-04-24Used Bellmore Towing for a battery and through triple A. First two times were great with Luis. This time I got a driver named Michael B who gave zero updates on where he was or how long. I get a message saying he was arrived 45 minutes later but I couldnt wait in my car because it was freezing and wont start. I ran from my apartment to my car which was parked in a lot down the block and he started giving someone a jumpstart and said I cant help you. He was extremely disrespectful and paid me no attention but instead someone else who never called Triple A. I asked again saying I was only a few minutes and if he could help and he said, you see im helping someone. Someone that didnt pay for his services. Waited for an hour and then told they wont service me. I highly recommend you DONT use this driver or Bellmore Towing.

2022-06-02I am so pleased with this company you have no idea! Let me tell you, its hard to find a genuinely good and honest towing company who wants to help. I was assigned this company through my roadside assistance. My car needed to be towed to the dealership and the guy Mike who came to tow my car even gave me a curiosity call to ask if i needed to get anything out of my vehicle before he left the site. He was also very thorough in how he towed my vechile, took pictures also. (I wasnt at the scene at the time of his arrival) He ensured me that my vehicle was properly placed on top of his truck and ready to go. Such a nice man to speak with (unlike the other company who was assigned to tow my car, I wont even mention that company)If I could give 10 stars I would, this company cares, they care about people.THANK YOU MIKE! I hope God continues to bless you in your life

2022-02-23The benefits of this garage, they are knowledgeable and for the most part friendly as well as Triple A certified. Yet like with most long island garage types, they also want to sell a story.I came here for an emergency tow in December of last year, at the time I had a list of things needing fixing as well as supposedly an engine coil. All was fine and I went on my way.Its now two months later only to find out another coil is going bad, and suddenly Im being sold a story that when one coil goes, they all go. So if thats the case, why didnt we do ALL four coils last time? Why have I been driving my car around, when it apparently still needed work.Id like to rate higher, but at this point, the concept of your local friendly mechanic no longer exists, theres always a story to sell, so back to my dealership I go. Because at least the dealer actually knows my car, and Ill know the work is getting done.*Changing this to a one star as Ive just found the garage owners are legitimate liars. My car needs a new coil? Most cars can keep their original coils, so they probably can not handle modern cars. Definitely feels like a grift here.

2022-07-07NEVER USE THEM!! THEY WILL NEVER SHOW UP!!IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS THATS WHAT ID GIVE THEM BC THATS WHAT THEY DESERVE!I called my insurance for a tow. I called this towing company to specify where I was located & they blew me off with an attitude saying they were on their way & LEFT ME STRANDED FOR 3 HOURS!! When I called my insurance company they made a formal complaint on my behalf. Then when they were looking for a new company to SAVE ME, then this company, BELLMORE TOWING AND COMPANY, had the NERVE to try to pick up the tow AGAIN!! Within a minute I had another tow from a MORE reputable company, and I was saved in minutes.

2021-09-21Great service and very satisfied. I called AAA and belmore towing and recovery was there in 20 minutes to swap out my battery. The technician was very prompt, professional and nice. He installed the battery and tested it. Battery cost was the same as at autozone but this one comes with a 3 year full warrenty and was installed for me. Hopefully it will be another 5 years before I need another battery again but I will certain use them again. A+ service and value.

2021-05-28I broke down last Sunday and called for a tow there in 20 minutes on.a Sunday! Tow driver was very careful towing my 68 charger I towed to bellmore towing and decided to have work done there!they fixed everything perfect Anthony very knowledgeable fixing old cars! I will be back and owner great guy!
