We had an excellent experience with Berger Appliance, with their knowledge of the Friedrich products to replace our old units, with the very professional technicians for the a/c installation, and the referral to contractor Paul Nolan. Paul did an amazing job installing the more difficult through the wall unit, and his carpentry work was superb, very clean. Our experience here, which we really appreciate, is that Berger Appliance is old school and gets the job done. We very much appreciated Larrys help to identify the products and what exactly needed to be done. Competence is not the norm these days, so we are thankful. No comparison to the big chains. Berger is highly recommended.

Over the years my family and I have gone to Berger appliance instead of ordering on Amazon or purchasing from Home Depot so as far the service goes we never experienced a problem. The drivers though have to be the most reckless truck drivers Ive ever seen. On June 30th one of the Berger Appliance employees driving a Berger Appliance with license plate 68468MM caused a near fatal accident when he decided to be reckless and cut off in front of us. You would think that employees driving larger vehicles would be more cautious instead they put the life of others at risk, my daughter and I shouldnt have to deal with your reckless drivers that might not even have a valid license. Most companies hold drivers to a certain standard but it seems like Berger Appliance doesnt care how the drivers present them on the road. I called and asked to speak to Jim the owner and of course he refuses to speak to me so maybe hell respond after this review. Thanks for traumatizing my daughter and for letting us know to go down the road to Home Depot instead, my co workers have seen the footage of your drivers behavior so feel free to go on youtube and take a look for yourself.

I am in the middle of a terrible experience with this store. I went in to buy a washer/dryer 3 weeks ago and chose a set on showroom floor that was not in stock. Salesman showed me photos of a set which was “the same just larger capacity,” which I then purchased. Upon delivery I found out it was 2” higher and $60 more for each machine- two important facts the salesman neglected to mention. I complained and they agreed to swap machines to original ones I chose once they came in to their warehouse. Then I was told only washer available, dryer unspecified wait time. A week later, the washer was delivered WITH the dryer (which apparently was another customer’s order). Two days later, I went to pull a sheet out of the washer and the center agitator pole piece came up with it. In 50 years of owning appliances, I’ve never seen anything like that. You could hear a loose screw shaking around somehow in the cylinder. I called store to complain and they offered to call GE service -which was unacceptable to me on a brand-new machine. Now they are saying they are willing to swap it once another machine comes into their warehouse in a few weeks, but they will not take back the dryer. This is an unreasonable, unacceptable solution, since I need a W/D set. Lacking their cooperation, I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. First they deliver a set whose specs I was unaware of. Second they deliver a machine meant for another customer. Third, that machine is defective. Three strikes, you’re out.UPDATE: Owner has just agreed to take back machines and give full credit. While I commend him on his courtesy, I can’t honestly recommend this store now, since the overall experience was not good..

Been doing business with Beger Appliance since 1990, and what an amazing group of hard working folks, who have always been honest, genuinely friendly and kind; making it such a pleasure to purchase here. Nothing compares to the quality of Customer service from a local family-based business like Berger Appliance. Dont buy from Berger. They misrepresented the warranty available to me on a Wolf double oven. When the inside of the oven blistered after 8 weeks of use, they tried to insinuate it was my fault (when in fact this particular oven had a class action lawsuit about the blistering), then they said they would see what they could figure out and get back to me. I NEVER heard from them again. So backwards, no customer service. They verbally said that they would be stuck with a used (8 week old )oven and thats what they were concerned about, NOT my blistered, chipping Wolf oven, that I only had for 8 weeks. Horrible, go elsewhere!

DisappointedBerger Appliance was recommended to me when I was renovating and needed all new appliances. So, when I needed to replace my air conditioner, they were the only vendor I considered. I received a call last week that they would have my AC by the end of the week. The gentleman wanted to arrange a delivery time. I explained that due to my work schedule I needed mornings. He put me down for Tuesday morning and suggested I call to get a more accurate window.As suggested, I called this morning and was told that it would be between noon and 2:00 PM. I mentioned that I was told it would be the morning. The response was ‘I don’t know who you were talking to but mornings for us is between 9 and 1:30.’ Instead of trying to switch things so that my expectations were met, I had to switch the day to Friday. Now, is three days a big deal? No. Expectations were set by one employee and the employee I spoke with didn’t even apologize. No acknowledgement of my schedule and commitments as if only theirs countedWhile I will still purchase from them in the future, I am very disappointed with the way I was treated.

I dislike public shaming but would like to save anyone who reads this a headache. We just did a full renovation and went to Berger, spending over 18 K on appliances. Overall this place is nice up front but has Atrocious, lazy customer service. After they charged our credit cardthe ball was dropped entirely. Our appliances were delivered and their were issues with no follow up on their behalf. We were told the handle of the fridge came on a chosen side but it arrived on the “factory” side, and we were uninformed until they told us we were going to have to pay extra for the handle to be switched. Our fridge was then left sitting in the middle of our kitchen for 5 days. I had to make multiple phone calls to track down our salesperson, While the problem did get resolved by Thermador — guess what, no follow up from Berger! I’d never go here again.

I bought my first appliances from this store when I bought my house 30 years ago. They were great then and they are still great now! I needed to replace a specific size model refrigerator which was the only one that fit the granite/cabinet cutout. I know that this particular model is in extremely high demand because of the pandemic. Not only were they persistent in being able to get it for me before the time estimate, but they even gave me a better price than the big box stores were advertising without me even asking. The delivery men came today and they were extremely knowledgeable, courteous and professional. All around tremendous service from the Berger team! Im still a happy customer 30 years later!

My 35 year old Friedrich AC decided it had had enough during the little heat wave we had. Berger Appliances installed a new AC within a week! EVERYONE I spoke with and I believe I spoke to everyone was knowledgeable patient and kind.
