2021-02-17They wont let you in the lobby anymore. I had multiple deposits (business acct) that required a human and she refused to let me in. I also needed a ton of change. I was directed to the drive thru where there is also NO HUMAN. I had to leave with no change for the weekend for a busy restaurant they SUCK!!! This is going on a lot of their locations. SEFCU manages to run their banks normally....hmmm, might be time for a change.

2019-09-14Not what it used to be, barely a bank.I did a lot of research before moving all my accounts to Berkshire. But then they closed the drive thru, fired all the tellers and replaced them with ATM and video tellers, closed on Saturday, and increased their fees. The managers that are there are friendly, but why would you choose a bank without tellers when there are so many other options?

2014-03-01Berkshire Bank uses a third party commercial bill payment service. As a result, there is probably very little chance that Customer Service enhancements can be quickly added. I was disappointed to find out that the Bill Payment service for Berkshire, unlike Bank of America, does not show pending checks as debits against your checking account. This means that sending an online check to your son for $100.00 dollars does not show up as a pending debit (check) against your account and youll never know he lost it in his car for two months. That is, until it shows up as a processed payment. Berkshires Bill Payment service does not give you the ability to see what cash has been allocated to payments that their bill payment service has to send paper checks for.I have spent that last several weeks looking at Berkshire Bank compared to Bank of America. I was hoping that a smaller bank might feel a little more like a home town bank. But, talking to customer service about this tells me that their customer service wont be any better than dealing with a mega-bank like BofA. The difference is that BofA was very competitive with cutting edge technology, most of which they got spot on correct. It has been hard to see that swiping your bank card to identify your accounts to a teller are gone, and to have a bill pay service that is years behind the competition is disheartening. I used Check Free and Metavante (the current Berkshire supplier) years ago before the banks started offering their own services. I can tell you that you will start seeing short comings like invisible check payments. Another one will be that, regardless of the date you assign for the check, it can be paid early by the bank, shorting your checking account. Whereas BofA rarely, if ever, had a check paid before the due date; Metavante/Berkshire Bank will.I think I must change banks. Good luck to those BofA customers that stay!

2019-10-24Excellent customer service! Hard to find at first but its the last business at the end - has a big X over the door instead of Berkshire. They also have a drive up ATM.

2022-07-06This is one of the worst establishments in the area. They are absurdly inconvenient with the random closings and have some of the worst customer service out there.
