Best Buy in other cities:
BEWARE OF SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES AND HATERS!For the record, everyone else in the store was nice. That being said, I was there yesterday to listen to some speakers I wanted to purchase in the Magnolia Room and Glenn who was supposedly helping me all of a sudden changed his face and attitude when I asked if he could match the price (15% discount) that another Best Buy store had given me (wanted to buy the speakers here because it was closer). He then told me to hold on while he called the Best Buy store I got the offer from and was talking to someone (I heard him) there about what his employee offered me and pretty much ratted him out then telling me he couldnt even give me 1% off!Really? Why would you want to get someone else in trouble by calling the other store? Let alone someone that works for the same company you do? Worse part was that he told me he knew the guy! LOL!I shouldve said something to Glenn but I was so thrown off by the shadiness he displayed. He probably got the guy at the other store in trouble while completely messing up my discount instead of simply telling me that he couldnt match the price.Instead, he decided to go the hater route. I own two businesses and I would never hire someone that throws people under the bus like that. Its people like this that mess up a good experience and I would never recommend this store as long as that employee works there.
Best But has just become awful in recent years. I bought a Dash Camera and Printer on black friday and went to return it because it didn’t work. The teenage store employees were useless. One employee with a 10 person store line. Said they couldn’t take the camera back because it was passed the policy which I understood. I asked for help with the printer because it worked, it just seems like something was off with it. Employee seemed inpatient with helping me due to being the only employee with a line and said I would have to call the manufacturer and there was nothing they could do. I’ve been coming to this Best Buy for 10 years. Anthony was a great store manager, disappointed with the new guy. Left aggravated because no helpful resolution was found for me giving them $80 for broken items Brand New. Called customer service to file a complaint and no one speaks english. I explained to them on the phone the situation. First person didn’t want to help me because it was an in store purchase, I hung up on them. Second person told me it was past 15 days and there was nothing they could do and to call HP. Told them I wanted to file a complaint and speak to a manager and they told me No. This company has really become unbelievable. Dont buy into the hype this place this is a glorified Radioshack at best nowadays
I did an online order and it was so easy to pick up. The person at the door got my items for me. I was in and out in about 3 minutes. Oddly enough their online site had baby toys really inexpensive. Bought them with my rewards certificates from my best buy card. Very easy and enjoyable experience.
So easy to drop a paycheck without even blinking, they always have the newest and latest tech, bought my 55 8k Samsung 900r bout a year ago and cant stop my weekly visits since, and they got the delicious delectable delights for the impulse buy when u waiting online 2 check out
When I arrived, I was told that the store was on limited staff and if I had any questions, just to come up to the front to ask. It was amazing. I had such a pleasant shopping experience WITHOUT being asked if I needed help 100 times. I was able to browse leisurely and didnt have to interact with anyone. Bug fan of limited staff.
I walked around this store for a good 15 minutes with my son trying to get someones attention to help us and no one responded to us. I was honestly annoyed when I was on the customer service line waiting to pay, and when I got to the customer service desk I was helped by a man named Dimas who helped me to every extent, and he went into the back to find me what I needed. He was great and patient when helping me find what I was looking for.
Its ok sadly the store always seems to be out of everything. They have 1 or 2 items of each thing In store but most of the things youll need you are going to have to buy online and pickup. That kind of defeats the purpose of delivery though because it takes the same amount of time to deliver to store as it does to your house so you may as well order online and have it shipped to your home. But for last minute non- specific items its good to still have a physical space to get most of your tech needs, but if you have the time. Just buy online.
I have shopped at Best Buy repeatedly and have gotten decent service, but recently I tried to get them to price match something that was clearly within their policy and they declined it and did not honor the policy. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. If they wont honor their policy or stand behind what they say, I cant trust them. Id rather spend a few dollars more to know I can trust the people Im dealing with.
I went during black Friday morning. They did a decent job of limiting the number of people in the store and trying to maintain social distance. The curb side pick up system crashed, and the employees did a good job of managing it as well as they could during this heavy volume time. My only gripe is that they need more than 4 parking spots for curbside pick up. Other than that, great job to all the employees
Standard experience, bought an open box for a great price and it was missing the remote. After trying to call the store for an hour with no luck, we packed up the entire box and brought it back, thats when the front desk guy says...oh we probably have it behind the counter. Understaffing. Alls well that ends well.
I just bought an open book MacBook. I went home and realized they sold me a computer that DOESNT work. It was geek squad certified open box. I go back to the store and they say it’s the computer and there’s nothing they can do about it. They say to return it and I’ll have to buy a new one that’s more expensive. They won’t honor the same price of the MacBook that I just bought. So now I have to go buy a way more expensive product because THEIR product didn’t work.
I wish I could leave 0 stars, but that’s unfortunately not an option. The customer service and pure lack of consider for their costumers at this store is truly appalling. This store has solidified the popular opinion that these physical stores no longer need to exist. Why go to the store if you can purchase all of these things online, with 100% less stress and frustration. My husband and I went this past Friday to create our own cellphone plan. With that, my husband was also planning to upgrade to the iPhone 12 Pro. Which he was told numerous times he could do the same day. Salesman Eric, told us we needed to simply call AT&T to get off our current plan, pay our remaining balances and simply transfer to our new plan together. This process to a very long time, but we hoped it would have been worth it as promised.Upon walking into the the store we asked if they had 128GB IPhone 12 Pro in pacific blue. My husband saw online that they were in stock, and Eric assured as they had MANY.Upon creating our new plan, we were ready to upgrade my husbands phone. On AT&Ts end, he was eligible, but Best Buy told us we couldn’t complete the transaction on their end because it needed to update in the system, which we were told would happen by the end of the day or in 24 to 48 hours tops. Because of the inconvenience, and the promised phone we were supposed to get that day...I simply asked if Eric could put a phone to the side for my husband so they didn’t run out and we’d be back at square one....He said it was not a problem and that “he put his name on a 128 go pacific blue iPhone Pro for him” and that getting the phone would not be a problem and they wouldn’t possibly give it away. You think you’d be able to call this store to follow up? In a perfect world, yes you’d think so. We remained on hold Saturday and Sunday for 30 minutes plus every time, before we just got frustrated and had to drive over to the store to follow-up. Eric told us that the phones done even ring!!!! So you wait on hold indefinitely for someone who has no intention or no knowledge that they have to answer the phone. Each day, there was no progress in our ability to finally purchase a phone. WHO THOUGHT BUYING SOMETHING FOR $900, TRYING TO GIVE A BUSINESS MONEY WOULD BE SO IMPOSSIBLE?!We kept being told by Eric that he was following up with the AT&T Rep in the physical store to try and move things along...Do you think we ever met this rep?!? Do you think he could have showed is face to us 1 time in 4 trips there to apologize for the frustration and inefficiency?! NOT A CHANCE!We finally went back to the store around 5pm yesterday to follow up, as the 48 hours (maximum window) was well over. Still nothing and no help. We politely asked Eric if we could follow up with us before he went home for the night if there was any progress or update. Eric was off Monday (today) so we just wanted to follow up with him because we had dealt with him the whole weekend and he knew what we were waiting on. Just asking for a simple follow up phone call, which we were promised would be no problem. Do you think we got a phone call? No chance. This morning, my husband finally checks Best Buy’s website to see if he’d be eligible for the upgrade finally, it went through and he made his way to the store just to purchase the phone that was “held for him with his name on it”. When he got there, they were ALL OUT OF THE 128GB pacific blue iPhone 12, and the one “that was held for him” didn’t exist. Was there a single bit of remorse shown to him? Not even a little bit. “Nothing the could do” and no explanation. This store told him they couldn’t even order him the phone!! His only chance at getting the phone would be to order it through apple directly. Which brings me back to my original point....WHY DO ANY OF THIS IN STORE IF THERE IS ZERO BENEFIT? NO ACTUAL HELP OR ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ACTIONS? AND you have to go back home to just order the phone yourself online? (which won’t be here until December)This entire experience was completely frustrating to say the least. Zero Stars.
Great store. Staff is always helpful. I had them come to my house to help install a 65” tv and demo some high end audio quest cables. They installed two TVs helped me with the setup. They even credited me a few hundred dollars when the 65” tv dropped in price a few days later. Amazing. I have some advanced membership not haven’t taken advantage of it due to the coronavirus. This store is fantastic. I’m a Best Buy fan as they have amazing support and a great return policy. They matched pricing for me on multiple occasions.
One of the best places around for electronics. Check store availability and order online. They will bring it to your car if you want. Look for the marked parking spaces. I got a cable modem for 80 bucks that replaces the one that Cablevision charges 120 bucks a year for.
Wouldve given them zero stars, simply because of the so called service of a certain Zachary... (Dude, learn customer service skills, or get a job where you dont have to tend to anyone. I went there to buy a few TV shows for a relative, whos going to an assisted living residence. I stood on line, to be attended to,there was ONE customer ahead of me. There were TWO employees tending to this person, when Zachary looked in my direction, I asked to be tended to. He tells me hes busy with a client. B. S., because the customer was being taken care of already. By the OTHER employee. Middle of the week, store was EMPTY....you wont get my patronage anymore.....4Q very much
Stood around for 30 minutes and nobody could find the time to help. A young lady did ask if I needed help, and when I said yes, she replied Oh, I dont work that department, but I will get someone to help. Well, nobody came to help. Very bad customer service. I was going to buy a Garmin GPS watch, a new Canon printer, and a house phone. I left, and went directly across the street to P.C. Richards and got great service and spent over $1,000. Corporate should fire the management in this location.
Best buy has a pretty organized store first off.. I went there a few days ago to buy some home security cameras at a reasonable price. while in the store we asked for help to find the section that had the cameras. We were directed to at least three potential cameras to buy and we quickly chose what we wanted with the knowledgeable associate that helped us. We setup the cameras in about 6 days after we bought them and just by chance we saw online the store had the same camera listed at a lower price so on the same night we price matched and got a discount and some money back from the previous purchase on the same camera since it was with in 15 days. You can save reasonably at Best buy 🙂
Ordered a ring doorbell 3 plus online and received the ring doorbell 3. Waited on line at the store to get in for 40 minutes and was told the wont exchange it, and that i would have to ship it back. What kind of policy is this?? Your mistake but I have to waste hours of my day at the store and on the telephone. Shame on you best buy!!!
I went out Friday to buy a new monitor for my pc ,I found an LG at a good price and bought it I was assured everything I needed was in there. I started to set it up and found I was missing a cable so on Saturday I went back and after a while I finally got someone to help me I told him my problem and he sold me another cable for 35dollars.I took it home and after a few hours trying to set it up I called someone to help me I was informed that they sold me the wrong cable I took it back on Sunday waited over 30 minutes to get someone to help me meanwhile there are 5 people in costumer services all helping the same person when I finally got help I was very annoyed and got a so what attitude when I told them what I needed they told me they didnt have it I finally bought the part at staples it still didnt work because it turns out the monitor isnt compatible to the PC so its another trip back to best buys that makes 4 trips so I guess it wasnt such a good buy after all
I do not like this store. They stole my credit card info and used it to purchase something. They changed my phone number, my email address and sent it out of state. I was able to track where it went and disputed their charge. They tried to argue that because I disputed a rush delivery charge previously that I must be a liar and that my info was verified by them. Thank goodness I have had the same credit card for 30 years. They believed me!!!
I come here most of the time for electronics, etc. Ive bought many things from here, both minor and major, and theyre all fantastic quality. Super friendly, helpful, and informative staff. They never push me to buy anything. They answer all my questions and agree with my desires and opinions in a friendly manner. Best Buy is a very reliable place and in my experience, theres no reason to doubt its greatness. :)
Had to track down a sales associate who knew about phones and batteries. He was helpful . A lot of the products had no price tag had to ask how much . I see why they might be closing almost all the associates were looking at their phones not looking for people. I was going to talk about an upgrade from my phone but no one looked interested I asked were they were an all I got was finger pointing .so I left, they used to be so friendly and helpful. Sad
I bought a camera system from this Best Buy online for in store pick up. I picked it up in store and then the camera system sat for 2 weeks. The next week we actually went to install the system but upon opening realized that not only were the camera cover in dirt and grime but also the wires had already been cut and were extremely corroded. So I went back to this store to return and get a camera system from somewhere else as they had lost my trust by selling used products. When I tried to return they told me they had a strick 15 day return policy even though they sold me a used product and it was only five days past the policy. I asked to speak to a manager to reason with them as I had just opened this and planned on installing for use inside but these look like they have been outside for a year. The manager came over and then started insinuating that I had did this to the camera system. I asked him to use common sense as it would be impossible for the wires to be that corroded and have that much grime on the cameras in a 20 day period especially inside. I also told him he should not be selling used products to which he replied that any return is inspected to ensure it has not been used. He was obviously wrong and whoever inspects the returned items is not doing theyre job. I blame the managers but they choose to blame the customers. The only saving grace is they did give me a new system but only after insulting me and telling me I did this to the system. I urge you to immediately inspect any product you get from this particular Best Buy.
This location is often very well stocked and has items that are typically sold out elsewhere. Plenty of employees walk around here compared the Best Buy near my house (youd probably have to walk the entire store to find an employee), and theres always someone to ask for help. The only downside is that when I try calling, they dont always answer the phone, which is a bummer since I live 30+ minutes away and would like to know if an item is in stock before driving over. Overall, would still visit again.
Would not return my purchase to my original form of payment I purchased a gift for my grandson for his birthday and because I was not in the return policy time I purchase the gift early to be sure that it would be delivered on time for my grandsons birthday and this is what I get in return I will not shop in that store anymore
In the 20 years I have lived in East Northport, this Best Buy has always been there for me and given me exactly what I wanted and needed every time. I usually come in here before work and on my days off from work to shop and its great every time. I dont know where Id be without this store. c:
They didnt have a large selection of tablets in store for me to see and hold in order to be able to make an informed decision. This included the sizes I was looking for, so it was hard for me to judge the size and weight of it. However, the guy who helped me was very informed on the tablets and was able to help me with what tablet would be best for me. It was a pleasant experience.
Never really an employee around when you need one, and their inventory is really stale and lacking. Make sure to check their website for inventory before you go.Edit: This hasnt gotten any better. Return policy will always work in the stores favor no matter the circumstance. More than half of the product I pick up off the shelf are defective. Refurbs are even worse so dont look for hope in that. Theyll slap anything back on the shelf. Dont get the warranties, its just another thing to use against you when you need to return or replace it.Big box stores dont understand why Amazon is doing so well.
Good products. Generally the staff does not know much. Geek squad does not help in the finding of a laptop with certain specifications after my 2 top choices were apparently not there after confirming this on the phone equaling a half hr and a semi rushed but good decision. I did check the site before and 2 laptops they said they had including when called I was told they never did even though they were listed online as not on display and that was confirmed on the phone. Definitely going to there Commacks location from now on.
This place has no idea what customer service means...twice stoves delivered that were damaged...can’t even call the store to talk to an employee goes to a call center- really?!??? Went to the store 5 times to do exchanges and reorder since customer service over the phone can not help with store brought products and must be taken care at the store...after all this trouble, informed as a courtesy will reorder the product from another warehouse since out at the east coast one- how is that even a courtesy after going here 5 times 20 min each way...Best Buy is a joke stick with PC Richard for appliances and great customer service...Best Buy needs to go bankrupt seriously...
My uncle was trying to buy his son a laptop. He reactivated his best but credit card (going through identity verification) but then they wouldnt let him use the activated account to buy the laptop. They told him he needed the physical card for security. We called the corporate office and they said theyve never heard of it and tried to work it out with the store. Unfortunately then the store blamed it on the credit card company and we still were unable to proceed. We ended up linking the card to a Best Buy online account and bought the computer online. Then picked it up in the store no problem. Wouldnt recommend coming here.
They have a good selection, but in looking for what you need, youre on your own. I went in earlier to buy a CD drive, and asked an employee if it would work for downloading off of a CD, and they said it would. The thing doesnt even recognize the disc I put in it let alone be able to download from it.
Over 2 weeks ago my elderly and disabled mother had her dishwasher break. She embarked on a what actually is a tremendous journey for her, go to this best buy store in E. Northport and purchase her new machine. In total she had spent 3 hours ensuring the model was correct, it was available and ready to be delivered asap. The sales person, Jahad H. assured her that the unit was in-stock and the had placed a Hold on that unit to ensure it would be delivered on Tuesday. By the time sale completed 3 hours had passed. But at least she got the unit she wanted & needed. She asked that I (her son) stick around for the delivery which we were confirmed to get via phone calls & emails @ 7-11am on Tuesday. We both made ourselves available and ready. Delivery got rescheduled to 1pm. Again, delivery window had closed. At 1 pm she calls to find out what the heck is going on. Best Buys response was, Sorry, but that your unit is on backorder and wont be available for another 21 days, at the soonest. My mother who suffers from mental illness begins to totally break down, crying and freaking out she calls me at my office. I then spend hours on the phone, on hold and ultimately get to speak with a manager. The Manager of the Customer service reps assures me she will resolve the matter but has to place me on hold, 122 minutes on hold, CLICK. Shes GONE, disconnected.I leave my job and drive to the best buy store, grab the manager and he pulls in the other manager. They devise a way to try and make this situation right. Promises and more promises, we will get a different but slightly better unit delivered today, Friday, 100% Guaranteed.Today, again, we both make ourselves available to ensure the unit arrives and its installed properly. We get the call, the units on its way. Great, this nightmare is over.Alas, delivery window shuts once again. A call is made and we are informed that, The warehouse never put the unit on their trucksThis incompetence & number of failures is grotesque, wrong & criminal
This Best Buy is on the South-West corner of Larkfield and Jericho. I usually head there during my lunch break and have yet to see more than a 18 vehicles in front. Personally, that works to my favour as I dont have to duck and dodge impatient drivers to get from my car, through the lot and into the store. :-)My latest trip was to pickup an SSD which the web site claimed the store had 3 left.Once I was in the right general area of the store I wound up twirling in place trying to find the part. Ultimately an Associate stepped up and using the SKU from the website was quickly able to determine that he had to collect the part from their stock area. He was very quickly back, I paid and headed back to work.Excluding drive time it was probably less than 12 minutes from, Do you need help? to Have a great day!In short, Best Buy had what I wanted, at a price I was willing to pay (within $5 of Amazon) and, although the part was not out on display, the Associate was very fast and helped make the entire interaction speedy and pleasent.Ill continue to do my must have it NOW work-day tech shopping at this Best Buy.
I came in January to replace a 24 acer monitor. A customer service rep looked under my account and said I was covered and to get the replacement product of the acer monitor. I returned with the monitor, and distuptly tells me no longer covered and pulls the product from my hands. He wouldnt give me a name, I retuned later to talk to Jose the manager. He wouldnt give me a last name. I complained to him how the customer service rep. Handled the situation. He only explained to me about the monitor. I tried once or twice to call complain to cooperate but they keep referring me to the store to handle this. So I went to the better business beru and complained to them about this situation. Im very disappointed by this store and their customer service actions. 1st you do not tell a customer you are honoring a Waranty, wait for the customer to return and abruptly tell them its no longer warranted by a warranty and pull the product from them without option to pay for it2nd if a customer complains to the managers, you honor the customers wishes and complaints and do not give them the run around knowing nothing will get done. Terrible experience.
The staff is not interested in helping the customers. Nor are they knowledgeable. Which is a terrible combination. Not the first time. Common experience, which is why I stop going. But there are not many options available. They are missing many items of merchandise. The tablets are spread out in different areas so that you can not make comparisons. Ended up at Target for an iPad. Crazy.
Went to buy a cheap TV for one of the bedrooms at home they had it walked out of there for $103 with a 2 year protection plan. Not bad they have all types of electronics not a huge open box selection as I was hoping to pick up a better name brand but its for the spare bedroom so it will not get used that often so no matter really
This is the Best Buy closest to me. For the most part it is well stocked, especially around the holiday times. Parking is never a real issue. The staff is usually roaming around the floor, so it pretty easy to find somebody to help you if you need it.The registers tend to be a little slow at times though.
My husband went to purchase and Apple Watch. I was on the phone with him when he made the purchase he specifically asked for gold not rose gold or a watch with any pink color what so ever. They gave him a watch and told him it’s not pink and not rose gold. This morning after looking at the outside of the box we noticed it had a pink sand band and looked rose gold. My husband said that they told him that it was regular yellow gold. We opened it and it was rose gold with a pink sand band. This is an expensive item. The staff needs to be better educated. Outrageous
Very un happy with how they handled my Apple Watch. They told me it would be nothing to fix cause my watch was 100 percent not damaged by me! I have apple care plus a warranty for a year and my husband purchased extra insurance for it. So they shipped out to apple two days later they call me and tell me I have to pay $70 so I called Apple and they completely understood and just said get the watch back from them and send it to us directly and I did and thank you Apple for doing the right thing and not charging me and because of the annoyance I had with Best Buy Apple even gave me a new Apple band for my inconvenience! So remember just always bring your apple products to Apple! Lesson learned!
Terrible customer service, over the phone and in person. I got the runaround. Nobody was willing to help . An associate from over the phone customer service lied to me. Best Buy only cares about themselves and not the customer. I am surprised that they didnt go bankrupt by now. I am never shopping at Best Buy again and neither should anyone else!
Horrible experience. My 11 year old daughter and I were price-checking cameras because she is into photography now and wants to make videos for youtube, so she wanted to show me the exact camera that she is into. About 5 minutes in, we noticed a blue shirt every second walk by us, they didnt ask if we needed help and there was a restroom in that direction, so I paid no attention. After leaving the camera section, we began looking at the computer pens, laptops, desktops and then televisions...we were being followed around the store, and I believe its because we are not white. I guess we stand out in this neighborhood. All I can say is I will never return again and I felt the need to make this review. I think I am also going to call and make a complaint to their corporate office on Monday about my experience, because this cannot be okay.
I came in the store and was instantly directed to where I needed to go and than an associate (david) helped me find exactly what I needed and answered all my questions. Lots of parking. Help was everywhere. I did not feel awkward there because I am not a tech geek at all. I am going back for my electronic needs. Went way past my expectations.
FIrst time in store - found what I was looking for- with the help of a knowledgeable staff person- who really did go out of his way- to assist me with my purchases - as I was looking for a specific type of dashboard recorder- that provides 2 way recording- interior and exterior to vehicle.3 stars because they are overpriced in this category and several others that I checked for home services.
Went in for Sony wireless headphones. I knew more than the rep? The other issue is the display to listen to them didnt work? The rep could not fix it. Then the rep told me one price and at the register it rang up for $110. More??? This is why I buy online and research online.
Disappointing. I went after reading online that the laptop I was interested in would be on display at this specific store. I wanted to try it out hands on. It was not on display. It was in stock but they wouldnt open it to let me try it. They just kept pestering me to buy it. Otherwise, the staff and the store were useless. This is why retail is dying. And I wanted to buy it! If you know what you want before you go, and they have it in stock at a good price, then it might be useful to see it first and be able to have it immediately. But you really have to shop online first.
The whole company is horrible. I had contacted 1800- mybestbuy with numerous issues with my phone they stated to me to go to the store to have a gsp fullfillment. Went to the store and spent two hours to have an end result that the store wouldnt do it because my phone was almost one year old. Even though I have a manafacture warranty and a geek squad plan. Bestbuy policies are terrible and the communication is even worst. Next time Im buying my phone direct with the manafacture.
I worked for this company for 6 years. I was obviously comfortable with the minimum pay because I failed to see the what the company actually stands for as far as morals go. The event that got my position as the Google expert, for almost two years. I was involuntarily raised without a raise in pay. That didnt get my position terminated because of that but because one night a women approached me at the front doors of the building and asked me to help her carry a box in from her car. Without thinking, I said yes because I went above and way beyond for a lot of customers. We walk out of the building into the parking lot where were no longer on best buys property because they do not own the parking lot and she presents to me in a big box and it had an old 5.1 maybe early 2000s sony home theater system. I recently started learning more about speakers and what not so I asked the women if I could have them for a side project. She said yes and then I put them in my car. The speaker system was not purchased at best buy and it was way to old for us to sell. Well, somehow my manager found out because I asked a few employees if what I did was ok. ( My fault for trusting the children who work there) and because Best Buy is a huge money hungry corporation i had to write a statement just like how im writing this review because the company refuses to call me or respond to my emails. After I wrote the statement, they send me home for the day and told me to come back after my 4 day vacation. I asked them if I should come back considering how serious they made it sound and they reassured me that id be fine. I show up four days later, punch in and help a few customers and they call me into the office and hand me a letter that said something along the lines of you knowingly violated the companies recycling program and therefore is considered theft and you position is terminated effectively So first of all I didnt know what happened in best buys parking lot was their business unless it was their product. I thought that employees werent allowed to take recycled product once its in our store and we put the recycling sticker on it. So they put words in my mouth and wrongfully terminated my position that I got my fuking health insurance from that I literally cant live without because I have crohns disease. So I learned all that this company cares about is money and not their employees physical or mental well being. The fact I had to write a google review to maybe catch HRs attention is extremely unprofessional and I was never given a chance defend myself. So Best Buy Human Resources, former Employee 1085940 would like to speak.
Terrible... I go for the first time the other week and buy a car stereo. The guy who was helping me was cool and all but the “systems” were down and than he said to go to the back where there were all exclusive stereos... nothing. 2nd time I go to switch the car stereo, I couldn’t bc they can’t do it ....
I went into the mobile department and spoke with nick he gave me the best deal with sprint he saved me 250$ a month and got me 200 back in credit union fees and I was only responsible for my last Verizon bill nick was a wonderful help and I would recommend him for anyone who needs a mobile device very knowledgeable with all carriers # avatar
Its ok. Just have to send products that brake after 15 days to the company. So returns on products should be at least a month. Some times you dont take the product out into two weeks from buying it. So if you buy anything you should use it that day. Warranty is not good for them as other places. A few products as my phone froze 16 days later and they would not return it.
Woof...what happened to this place? You walk in and you get a stare down from security then a grunted hey like you are some kind of pack of teens looking to start something. For the record I was alone and am a father in my late 30s. That is super welcoming. Next if you are looking for a Tablet, well they only have about 30% of the tiny amount they display actually in stock. If you are looking for a Samsung, like I was, well lucky you, they have only 3 pieces in the entire store to pick from, makes choosing from all they models they advertise really simple. A Samsung light kids edition and two others for $550. How do I know this you ask? No, someone who works there didnt tell me this, I had to figure it out my self, between checking online #s (which were insane-ly off) and looking in the displays myself as not a single person there helped me after stalking around the area for a good 10-15 minutes and asking multiple people walking through who had to head back to their sections. One person told me the people posted to that section were busy and would help me in a few minutes .I guess no one else apparently could open a small glass case and try to sell me on an unnecessary warranty. As I finally started hanging around over by the two busy employees, trying to even get noticed. I over hear the one that was with an elderly gentleman, neck deep in an explanation why this $50 HDMI cable wasnt as good as this other more expensive one... I almost jumped in and started trying to school the guy on how he was being ripped off, but being late in the day and weary I decided this was not my hill to die on and I checked out the 2nd employee with a mother daughter combo going on and on about how they needed upgraded SdMicro cards for their cellphones because they just had no clue how big family videos and pictures get and what can you do when your space runs out. Clearly not move the photos/vids off the card to a storage cloud or other hardware...guess they werent THOSE kind of SDMicro cards... I again rolled my eyes as hard as could and just decided to leave to avoid an argument about what was wrong with every thing they were trying to sell these people on....save your self the hassle, and the price. They just lost the last thing they had going in you could always pay a little more and deal with the hassle if you needed it now, and couldnt wait the two day shipping, too bad thats done. Just buy it online.
10/13/18 I wasnt happy with the salesperson today. I felt like he was not interested enough to assist us, and answer all of our questions. Also, he had an alarm ringing on his phone constantly that was very distracting. I brought it to his attention, but he didnt do anything about it.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have experienced in retail. The management team at this store specifically needs a refresher course on the finer points of customer service. Not an isolated incident either. I typically dont shop at this store because of all the problems that my friends, family and myself have experienced so I guess in a way it is my fault for thinking it couldnt possibly get any worse than previous visits but guess what.....WRONG! They always seem to outdo themselves by lowering the bar. Then God forbid you have to call the 888 number as it is a rare occurrence that you get someone who speaks English let alone understand it! When this store finally goes under, and it will, I will be there cheering.
I purchased a tv for curbside pick up and for some reason it wasnt allowing them to release it its not their fault entirely but I was still there for over an hour waiting the manager was nice enough to give me bottle water for free which is why they have 4 stars but what should have been 5 mins took over an hour will go back to the store I just wont ever do curbside at any store again as Ive been having way to many issues with it
Extremely dissatisfied. Tried to locate the item I wanted, and could not find it. Asked first employee I came across, and he indicated that he just came in, and directed me to another employee. Instead of trying to help me, the second employee smiled and said he couldnt help me, and instead directed me back to the first employee who was walking away. Neither employee could have cared less, so I left the store and decided to find it on line and not deal with the total lack of customer service.
This is a good place for electronics and ink for your printer, where geeks roam the floors, sometimes in a seemingly aimless manner. Good luck finding a sales clerk to help you. I bought a tablet and phone here several weeks earlier, but did not know where to find them. When you do spy one of these blue-shirted creatures (they are timid nerds you know), they then point you in the direction to go. They do not walk you to the place and then ask if you have any questions. Have a nice day...Nooo. thet may drain the Nerdian life force from their very beings! Am I being too dramatic? Probably. In that regard, poor customer service on the floor. However, in my ink jet printer episode I could not match their numbers with what was on the box from my ladys last purchase. Fortunately, I had a picture on my smartphone (the one I purchased there in April...are you still following my train of thought? Oh good!) which I showed to a fellow manning the doors at the front entrance. Sooo, I walked the whole way in to the front of the store, dodging the dust left behind by the aimlessly meandering sales clerks. He (The Guardian of the Portal) looked up the number on his tablet and voila!, he gave me the correct package number to find. Noooo, he did NOT walk me to that area. He pointed. Yes, he pointed.I made the purchase and made it out of the store in less than a day. It was a hard-won victory. True story I swear.
Wished could give no star. Received damaged wine cooler purchased on-line. Had to make 4 phone calls to Best Buy to make arrangements for pick up/exchange. Every time, lengthy hold. Agents friendly but incapable. Finally received label for pick up via e-mail after 3rd call. Told by Best Buy free of charge. Contacted UPS for pick-up. Bounced between various departments. UPS agent rude and could care less! Even the manager was unprofessional. Told by UPS I would be responsible for charges! Had to call Best Buy again. I was told label not for free pick up but Best buy would look into it! Still wondering about the outcome!
I have been shopping at Best Buy for a very long time I am a Best Buy elite member so that means I spent a lot of money in Best Buy and on march 25th 2017 around 7pm this is the very first Best Buy or any store I have ever felt being profiled because I was black, Im not super sensitive to these type of things but Ive never felt this way in my life. as soon as I walked in the security guard looked at me as if I was going to rob the place and asked me what did I want? I needed to buy a thermostat for my home and he pointed me in the right direction but it seems like he told the whole store to watch me. Once I got my items it took about one hour for them to ring me up im assuming that they thought that I was some type of credit card scammer I understand this is probably a problem that they have but you need some type of proof before assuming things about a person youve never met before if youre black expect this to happen to you. I will never go to that store ever again.
I just left the Best Buy in Commack and Josh from geek squad was fantastic. He diligently worked to help me with a problem with the video files on my Chrome book. He was friendly and exhausted all options available to solve my problem. Definitely an important and knowledgable asset to the geek squad!!!!
Counted 8 different BLUE shirts walk by, some of them more than once, while I was looking at a product and not once did anyone ask if I needed help with anything. Then when I stopped one of them to ask a question they seemed annoyed that I was bothering them...the only reason I have left to go to a brick and mortar store is for customer service/interaction... such a shame, back to Amazon, oh well, I tried
Worse return policy ever, brand new unopened JBL Bluetooth speaker was looking to return and just get a store credit at the lowest sale price and they refused because I had no receipt. Even off fered to have them charge me a restocking fee. Thought that was fairly reasonable. I told them Id write a bad review as I spend a lot of money over here. Just to turn your head in the other direction is not the way to conduct business. This is why Best Buy will soon be out of business in the next few years. Brick and mortar stores need to do more to compete in the retail marketplace and this isnt how you do it. They need to start changing some things around. Bestbuy customer service = pathetic #goodluck#shortBBY #Bankrupt?
Easily the worst management. Great employees dont get me wrong but the management is horrid. They stalk customers such as myself while simply looking for an item. Whenever there is an issue the manager has to step in and shut it down, even something as minor as a misprinted label. The woman manager is by far the worst. She is a complete jerk. I was going along to return an item and see a monitor on the floor in front of me. It was an HP pavilion ($200) and I asked the employee what it was. He said E-Waste and I asked if I could grab it real quick and as expected he said sure. The manager sees me and goes all out rage. and I quote: Sir, Sir, Sir, SIR! I said whassup. she says put that back that is given to US from the customers not to you. I said its just e-waste anyway. she says It is OUR E-WASTE! I said damn and walked away pissed off leading me to write this review. Cant recommend this Best Buy.

Went in looking to get an outdoor bluetooth speaker and the demo models didnt work and asking for help and being told someone would be right over... 20 minutes later waving my hands in the air trying to make eye contact with employees I just walked out. Waste of my time!

2022-02-02This place has gone completely down hill over the last few years. The place looks deserted and understaffed. The staff that is there., seems unwilling to help and goes about their business socializing with their co workers. I went to the store to purchase a key board for my computer, a simple task that should not have taken more than a couple on minutes to complete. But the lack of organization in the store combined with the employees unwillingness to help resulted in this task taking more than an hour. Keep in mind that there were may be three customers in the store at this time. When approaching the mini apple showroom located within the store you are greeted with not an employee but a Poster with QR code to sign up to get on to a virtual queue. I completed this and waited for more than an hour to get help. In the meanwhile, I saw multiple employees walking around minding their own business not offering to help or paying me any mind. When I approached them for help, they simply stated Im in the middle of something. Then proceeded to walk in circles around the store. My experience was so utterly terrible that I wont be visiting this establishment ever again. I would rather order my items online and wait a day to get them than come to come to the store to waste my valuable time. I would not recommenced this best-buy store to anyone looking to shop here. But if you are looking for a job, this seems like a very good option. You clock in, take a few laps around the store and get paid for it. No actual work and bonus: you can get a decent workout.

2021-12-22BestBuy has survived when practically every other big electronics retailer has disappeared. And for good reasons. They have a staff that is knowledgeable about what they sell. And they have a good service department. Also, a good variety of products - TVs, computers, cameras, audio equipment. A local alternative to mail-order, and they will match any legitimate price, just show the exact product on your phone. I bought a new printer. Retail price was $199, but I showed the same model for $129 to the salesman and he didnt blink - I paid the $129 price.

2022-02-15Review is regarding bestbuys new policy of requiring a $200 subscription just to buy a $500 plus video card. You’ve lost my business. You’ve made it easier for scalpers to rip people off. Sounds illegal to require a subscription to buy a computer component. Only wish I would be able to return my gaming monitor I just bought. And all those tvs, video cards and computer components. Go ahead and look at my account. You will miss me.

2022-02-17This Store is Ok but I wish that the Rewards Program was Free so that it becomes easier for Members to sign up and not have a Credit Card to get the sale Prices. I think I would come back but I am not sure about signing up for their Credit Card in order to receive sales and discounted Rewards.

2022-02-02Im not sure how to rate this one. I was kidnapped when i was 9 and this was there favorite place to go to pass time. When i escaped i never went back to another store. Walking into your store was a explosion of anxiety and while trying to buy the mini mouse head phones for my daughter my throat shut and i couldnt breathe. It took around 2 hours for me to be able to stop severely shaking. And im a single mom smh. Can you guy at least get creative and move stuff around. Then you will have a new customer. And everyone including the employees looking at me crazy while im pretty much suffocating so instead of calling a ambulance i just stood in the parking lot leaning on a car trying to breathe. Thanks for the help guys

2021-12-04The store is nice and clean and well stocked. The customer service was great. Only thing when I went I asked where something was and they showed me where it is supposed to be but it wasnt there. It was in the sale or clearance wall. They should let the floor people know when they move an item somewhere else.

2022-05-25Customer service was rude and gave incorrect information. Very little staff in the store and the individual who tried to help me was rude and misleading.
