Purchased a camera as a gift for someone and was not told about the restock fee. Was charged $150 to return the item although I was never told about the fee. Customer service refused to offer any assistance. I spent over $3,000 just in the last month. Best Buy will be losing a life long costumer. Save yourself the trouble and just buy it on Amazon or at Walmart.
Stay away from Best Buy don’t get your appliances from that store!!! They just want to take your money ! They take the money but have no appliances for you to deliver!!!! I think they sell the same appliances to multiple customers and then have noting to deliver ! I bought my appliances from them three weeks ago and they still haven’t delivered them !!! No one in the store has answers for me !!managers don’t even come up to help you or speak to you I already took two days off from work to be home for the delivery and my husband took another day off . All these 3 times they give you an estimate time of the delivery from 7am to 1 pm and then text again that the estimated arrival is 2 :40 then another hour, I waited the whole day for them to tell me that they will not be delivered at all and that the items are not even in stock and they do not know where the items are! It happens 3 times . All 3 times I had to use personal days from work and they still have not deliver my appliances that I paid for! It’s been a month and I still don’t have my appliances !!! This is not acceptable! Don’t Waste your time money and energy on them ! They are Liars, they take your money and then they have no answers for you!! The managers are a joke . Don’t want to take the responsibility for anything !!!!! Be Aware and safe your sell a headache!!!!
Apple section is a joke. Why do you have things on display that arent stocked in store. The new iMacs have been on display for over a year and have NEVER been in stock in store. Employees just tell you to order it online. If I cant buy it in store why show it on display that seems like a bad joke.
Great store, great employees too. Witnessed a hot head disrespecting the workers there, but they were very professional and kept their composure. Retail isn’t easy and people need to be understanding that stores are short staffed and not getting their goods like they used to. Overall though, the store had good stock and the employees were really trying hard!
The staff are competent and very helpful. Honest from what Ive seen. They tend to ask what Im looking for rather than push what they want to sell. Their computer hardware selection isnt very big, but they have some basic essentials. Ive bought phones, laptops, smart accessories, a drone, and even a microwave here, all with a decent customer experience. The store was even well behaved on black friday, which makes me think theyre well-managed. They only thing I dont like is their 14 day return policy. I wish it was longer.
I was scheduled to speak to someone from geek squad in regards to a service plan I was interested in, however the rep I spoke to on the phone thru 888-BEST-BUY didnt know that its not offered for the product I inquired about. The in store staff was informative and very friendly. I left satisfied even though I was unable to get the service plan I thought they offered. Still my go to store for electronics
Frustrating experience because of their scam to try to get me to get their credit card. My two credit cards were declined for no apparent reason. So I called my credit card companies and after a 20 minute wait the sale went through. My credit card was NOT overdrawn and there was no security hold on it. This was evidently Best Buys attempt to open up a credit card with them. Pretty shady!
My two biggest issues are Best Buy as a company and this locations so filled with incompetence. First, if you ever actually make it to the checkout line because the only employee in the store that knows phones is on lunch and you can’t buy what you need, you could be on that line until next Tuesday because there is never anyone there to check you out...and when you finally do buy one of their products, they are so confident it works, they give you 14 days to return it. 14. So, I have a web camera I bought for $89...broke 3 weeks later and they won’t take it back. Great company. Way to stand behind your products. I’ve been advised to buy incompatible computer products, poor quality products, and plain ignored for lengths of times. Buy blindly from Amazon, you’ll be better off
Went in looking for a new pc, spoke with someone from geek squad and had the sale all but made, until a “manager” came by and spoke with the person about to complete the transaction. Suddenly my total was almost $300 more. Afterwards spoke with a friend who is very familiar with computers. According to him, they are overcharging on everything and just looking for a quick payday. Wouldn’t advise going here if you’re a wise shopper.
The store is always clean and so far every staff member I have encountered has been very nice and helpful. The only two things I will say is that the store is on the smaller side, so they dont alwaya have what Im looking for. Also, the team members of the geek squad have been helpful, but they dont communicate to each other at all and their notes on my repairs have always been short, so it has lead to more confusion than necessary.
The store was clean and had half of what I was looking for. I am sure that the inventory is off with the current situation. I asked for help and waited nearly 5 minutes for someone to come. There were only a hand full of customers so not sure what the delay was for someone to assist. It seemed like many of the items on the shelves were pretty well picked over and there was much less choices than I had expected for modems and routers. I ended up ordering the other item online as it was completely sold out or unavailable in the store.
I have order headphones from them after one minute they have to cancel it for me, saying that the payment wasn’t authorized, how it wasn’t authorized if they detect it from my account,,which is I received an email saying get your refund now, I have the confirmation number for my Purchase, from that day since then I didn’t received any refund, I am unhappy I will never visit Best Buy never again.My family have an account with pass by I let them cancel it as well and I will tell all my friends never go there again.
I have a new appreciation and respect for Best Buy of Monroe. Tonight, the employees went above and beyond to make sure our situation was resolved. Special thank you to the manager Jackie for being quick, kind and helpful. We appreciate your hard work and attentiveness. I absolutely recommend shopping in this store. The staff is above average and a pleasure to work with.
I bought a Google phone had a one year warranty on it. After a month it messed up and wouldnt work. Went to Best buy and they told me they only do iPhones. Give me a phone number to call Google which was the wrong phone number. I spent two hours on the phone with them they do not talk they only do online chats to fix your problem. didnt work they told me it was a glitch in the phone and I had to bring it back to Best buy Best buy tells me its Googles problem. The phone was $400 and stopped working after a month and nobody will step up
Ashley was very kind and knowledgeable of her product. She took time to assist me in deciding between 2 products I was considering without being too pushy (a minor annoyance of mine with some retail associates but thats upper management pressure for you). Anyway, an excellent associate. I will definitely be back.
I dealt with Leslie in the electronics department, she cover everything regarding the television I was looking at. She was very verse on all of the televisions. I was only looking for information to help me decide, but after speaking with her I purchased the television right then and there. Shes the best and very patient, gives you all the answers and pptions.
Im very disappointed,I couldnt use a coupon for loyal customer for 15 years,I wanted a sound bar and other ring product that I need, because it says is reduced price I couldnt use the voucher.. Everything in store is reduced price..I want it to talk to manager Wich eventually knew already what was happening and came like ,whats up?? She couldnt give me concrete answer, I said everything is reduced price on something that I need ,no matter which brand was it .. It was a desent $500 purchase,I guess my loyalty has to go somewhere else...I left without my purchase..
Manager on duty gave me a really hard time returning an item 1 day after the return period ended and all I was asking for was store credit. Went to another best buy and got my store credit no questions asked... Ive worked retail for many years and know this is not the way to treat your customers.
Store needs more selection.Giving it one star now. I paid for an installation to be done today between 7am and 1pm. The installer never showed up. Not even a call. Called twice to BB customer service and I was promised the installer was going to come. But he didnt. I tried calling this store in Monroe several times but no one answered the phone. Now I have to return to the store for a refund.
Customer service at this Best Buy is top notch. I frequently shop at this store and sometimes have to return or exchange something, and they are always helpful and do whatever they can to keep me happy. Much of the staff has been there a long time which is nice to see in retail. The manager is often in the front and is always accessible when needed.
My experience with this store was excellent. The staff was very well versed in the product I was buying. And b/c of their knowledge I purchased my item, and have had no issues what so ever. I am extremely happy. The store is well kept clean, very neat, and has most of the items. Just like in any boxed store things sell out, and the wait period is not long at all for what you are looking for. The staff is POLITE, FRIENDLY, & RESPECTFUL. You cant make everyone HAPPY, especially at this store.
Last time dealing with Best Buy. I bought hi end chrome book came home camera not working, came to store 3 days later to exchange it, staff was rude not paying 0 % attention to me, asking me if I bought extended warranty, coming to with every reason not to accept it for exchange.
Stood at verizon counter for 5 mins. No sales person approached me. When I asked for help from sales assoc. whom was talking to someone, I was told thy would get someone, but he kept talking for another 5 min. I was never told by him, to stand on line and sign in for a sales assoc. to assist me. I was told that info as I gave up waiting and was leaving the store.
Dan is an amazing employee at best buy in monroe. Hes highly patient, friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable of the stores products. He provides the best customer service and employees like him are hard to find. Thanks for all the help and patience and the best deals, he doesnt just give you the expensive brand names, rather the item with quality worth the money, which is a reasonable price. but if brands are what you are looking for he still gives the best deals! :) go to this guy when youre there.
Honestly I made a very quick purchase I was in-and-out. However as soon as I walked in a very friendly young man asked me if I was looking for something specific. I was, so he took me right to it pointed me to the register and I was in-and-out in 10 minutes. Ive always found the young men and women at Best Buy to be very helpful and very knowledgeable.
This is a hit or miss store. Sometimes the sales associates are great and sometimes they are terrible. Either they know or they dont but the worst issue is buying something to have to return it because the associate didnt give me the right info . BUT they get points for their friendliness compared to middletown Best Buy.
Dont normally write reviews but went in to this location to purchase a tv one day and surround sound system another day and both times the costumer service was great. Dealt with two different employees and both were pretty knowledgeable about the products in question and made excellent recommendations.
The geek squad here is absolutely worthless. There was 1 on duty and he kept getting interrupted. Worse part he did nothing to help me. Someone tell me why Im paying $8 a month for support and then get no help at all. Best part they said I canceled my appointment. Just bbn lazy and unhelpful
Absolutely fantastic service. I went there this Friday night at around 7:30 p.m. Expecting to be at least a little rushed out as they closed at 9, I was very happy with the high quality service I was provided by 4 different employees. They saved me from wasting money on a HDTV antenna, which would not have worked at my house due to the lack of service, educated me on the different types, as well as how Roku, FireTV, and others worked, and helped me select the best new TV for my situation (size, brand, type, stand, picture quality, type). I have a smaller car, and they helped me with a difficult load as well. Very happy I came to this Best Buy instead of other electronics places or online. I only wish the guys that helped me earned commission, they deserve it.
The salesman had know clue what he was doing. Went to get a phone and to activate it. He had to Google everything. Ended up staying there for 2 hrs and know result. Took the phone and went home. So frustrated.And on top of that, the carry lots no expired food. Got peanut butter. Good thing Im a freak at checking dates. Expired since 2017.
I bought 2 laptops recently at Best Buy in Monroe NY and the Employees there were wonderful in helping Me and My Daughter to decide which were best for each of us. We are very happy with our choices. And the prices were very compatible to other stores around us! i have shopped here before for high priced items and I am always satisfied when I leave.
Thank you, Best Buy of Monroe for not only recycling my old, unused lap top for free--and they also gave me a small trade in value on a Best Buy card. Total surprise! Not only did it not go into a landfill, but they are recycling it for parts. Wipe it first and they will take care of the rest.
A decent best buy store with all the electronic odds and ends you want to come try out before you purchase. I wasnt constantly harrased by employees like sometimes happens at other best buy stores so that was a plus. I tested out what I was looking for and would come back again.
Store and with geek squad on phone all not helpful. Been without a refrigerator for 7 weeks now. I purchased from them 4 years ago and took out a 5 year warranty. 2 different repair men came out but not fixed yet. The time you wait between calling them then get someone to come out then order the parts after insurance ok it and get a person to install part can take weeks at best. Never buy from Best Buy or take out the extended warranty..
I bought a $533 Frigidaire Dishwasher on January 29, 2016. We had been in the Appliance section for at least fifteen minutes without a single sales person showing the slightest interest in helping us. Finally, after I went up to the service desk for assistance, Tyler D. showed up. (it was around 7:30pm and most of the sales people were eager to do nothing other than leave) I asked him how soon it could be delivered and installed? After running my charge card, and ringing it up, did we get the news that it would be over two weeks. He also sold us a new install kit, as he said they could not install it without one. Last night I had the old one uninstalled, and ready for removal (which cost $15) by Best Buy. Today the new one arrived, and I was informed no, they would not be installing it - they just deliver. Calling the store, I was informed that installation would be another $150 and they would have to schedule it for sometime down the road. When I made it clear that Tyler D. had said it included installation, both the individuals I spoke to on the phone refused to do anything about it, saying that the signature box on the computer screen said it was deliver only. Tyler was in a hurry to leave, and didnt explain anything at the time, just telling me that it acknowledges delivery later on. At the time I was shopping for this dishwasher, Lowes in the next town over was running a widely publicized Free Installation special. If it had been made clear at the time that installation was an extra $150, I would have immediately taken my business elsewhere. Which I will now do - Best Buy has seen the last of my wallet. (I wish there were an option here to leave no stars!)
Best Buy has turned into the place you go when your wife wants to shop at the grocery store nearby. Staff is always hit or miss, typically unprofessional, and they always try to sell you useless overpriced items like $90 HDMI cables. I guess its good to come here if youre bored.
Talking to the geeks can be enlightening and helpful. But they dont always have in stock what you want not do they call you when your order arrives. You have to really stay on top of them about deliveries and communication. They are about to form a partnership with Amazon so look for underperforming stores begin to close.
I went to this store to buy my husband his Fathers Day gift. I spent about half an hour and no one would come and help me. There were 3 employees doing nothing. They were talking and laughing among themselves. I even went to them and said excuse me and they didnt even acknowledge me. They are very rude. I immediately left and will probably not be returning. This isnt the first time that I have been treated this way in this store.
The Staff is ok , but check internet first for a better deal, if you have to buy it online (even if your standing in the store) get a soda and pick it up at the counter. If you point out the price difference to sales staff the product may disappear from stock. Case in point : I checked online for a Dirt Devil Vacuum it was $100 USC , it showed that the product was in stock at the Monroe store. I drove to the store and the same vacuum was $150. I asked the sales staff about the price difference, they looked it up (I had left my phone in the car) and they said it was $150 . I went back out to the car to order the vacuum online and it showed that the vacuum in question (that was on the shelf) was no longer in stock 🙄 so I said $@& that and went to Target . The in store High Ball price happens often in this store ( I phone , Laptop , DVD player , TV ) and that’s just what I’ve purchased off of them . So online shop first
This Best buy seems the most unfriendly as soon as you walk in. Literally was stalked by a few employees like I was trying to steal something. Unfortunately this is the closest so I have to deal with it. They also dont really keep any inventory when it comes to gaming pcs.
Every purchase we have made has been a great bargain . The Geek Squad , sales associates and the buying experience are always professional to the point that you notice they are more willing to sell you the right items as opposed to most expensive one .Very happy with the folks at Best Buy Monroe .
I drive an hour to shop at this location, bypassing 2 closer locations. There is, in my opinion, no better place to shop for all your electronics . Marissa and Joe are phenomenal and knowledgeable associates, who take time to make certain your questions are answered and you leave feeling you made the best purchase choice.
STORE ALARM DOESNT LIKE ME. I’m researching nursery cameras, specifically Alexa enabled cameras and I decided to stop by this Best Buy. I have my work bag with me, as I always do and as I’m walking out the alarm goes off. The guard looks at me and says “that’s weird, it didn’t go off when you walked in”. I did not make a purchase so it couldn’t have been merchandise. I stop and voluntarily empty my pockets and open my bag, allowing the guard to search in it, of course, she finds nothing. I then proceed to visit other stores in the area, all equipped with alarms at the front door and none go off as I walk in or out of them. Before leaving the shopping plaza I decide to test out Best Buy’s alarms one more time, just to make sure they are working correctly and to my surprise (NOT REALLY) the alarms didn’t go off. It’s funny because the guard says to me “oh your back” and I literally tell her “yes, just want to test these alarms out again” and I walked right back out. I would like to know if it was my skin color or my beard that triggered that alarm, can someone in from that Best Buy please let me know? Thanks!!
BUYER BEWARE:Bought a camera ($800.00) and a small tripod, strictly on the advice of at the associate who sold me the camera ($12.99) and left for vacation with it. When I put the camera on the tripod, it didnt fit the camera - camera body too heavy. Returned from vacation, brought the tripod back today July 29, 2017 at 12:05PM. Manager JOE (Monroe NY Store)stated that the 15 days return policy can not be changed and the tripod box was opened. I explained the situation, he just stared at me and repeated the exact same phrase.Such a shame, the incompetence that Best Buy has working there. For $12.99 they have lost a (very loyal) customer - who will post this negative experience on as many sites as possible.
Well stocked and location, I enjoy just walking around looking at electronics and then suddenly something pull my attention and my money, clerks seems to be helpful and friendly, we bought the wrong item and we realized at the parking lot and returning the item was a breeze and everyone happy, recommend to anyone
If I can give zero stars I would this place is horrible the staff horrible the customer service horrible they have no idea about the products are what they are selling have a little knowledge of what you were selling the geek squad can Not fix a thing the manager was no help very disappointed will never shop at this Best Buy hopefully goes out of business and something else worthwhile goes in its place stay far far away also be aware return policy 15 days I dont know of any other store that only has a 15 day return policy usually it is 30 days and stores work with you bed bath and beyond has a limited return policy they will take stuff back years later do not shop at Best Buy
Let me preface this review by stating I am in the Television repair business for over thirty five years( westchester county,NY).My wife recently visited the Monroe location to get her computer serviced...I am not a computer expert and she did purchase the product from them.Not only did they not resolve her issue, but the incompetent geek squad was rude and wanted to charge her a insane amount of money to Possibly repair her computer.We landed up taking the computer to a local vendor who promptly repaired the computer, and charged a third of what best buy wanted. Being in the service industry, my company gets many negative phone calls about the Geek squad( all locations) .Between not knowing how to service products, to being totally incompetent and charging ridiculous fees.Thier primary concern is selling product ,not servicing...My reccomendation is too call independant servicers when your electronic products fail. Best Buy Corporate needs a real lesson on the service industry and keeping customers happy..
Totally deceptive sales practice. Was given a really good dog and pony show for the iphone 6S. They told my wife , over the phone, that they had a few of the 64meg pink 6S in the store , which is 5 minutes from my house. When we got there they were All Out, but had others. Boy talk about bait and switch. Then the fast talking salesboy gave a 5 star spreel about the 6S and all it can do. Well we bought it. That was yesterday. Today we find out what was sold to us was in fact the 6 NOT the 6S. My wife was on with their customer (dis)service for an hour. After on hold for another 20 minutes another woman picked up and asked , May I help you?. What a disgrace that store has become since the demise of Circuit City. If you want a phone, GO to a phone store.
Hello, I went to your shop in Monroe NY on the 25th of July . I asked for help to buy a portable DVD player that would work in my country, since i live overseas. The sales agent at the shop confirmed that the offered product will work in my country, i just need to buy a power converter for my region.so I bought both devices for 170$. I traveled back home yesterday and upon trying the player, it displayed WRONG REGION on the player. We called Philips Customer Service and they confirmed that this player will never work with your region. It has been 2 consecutive days now calling customer service and the shop in Monroe more than once, for long calls [long distance] and honestly this was the worst customer service experience ever happened to us from what is assumed to be the best electronics shop in the US! They have a very rude attitude specially Chris the branch Manager of Monroe, who actually hung up on us while talking to him.We feel that we have been fooled to buy this product from your store.Finally, for your to know that the converter 220 to 110 was never needed since the DVD player is already 110 to 240 V adapter so there was no need for the power converter to start with!!!
I went into Best Buy looking for a hardcase for my iphone. The staff introduced me to what is called a mophie. It charges your iphone when your battery dies. I recommend Best Buy for any cell phone accessory, as they have many to choose from. Very knowledgeable staff.

2022-05-17Very helpful staff. I went to purchase an Arlo 3 security camera and power cable. Staff helped me find it, confirm that it was not eligible for an Amazon price match and helped complete the purchase.The shelves seemed empty and looks like much of the inventory is now online. I hope the store remains open, as I do like to look at what’s new and also to be able to pickup something at the last minute.

2022-05-31This store is trash with their knowledge of what they sell and their customer service severely lacks. My wife and I had to wait over a month and a half to get a dryer washer combo, which we did. We made sure to tell them it was propane and that we had just moved in about two weeks ago. Fast forward almost 2 months later to receiving our delivery only to have the installers tell us we would have to pay about $250 dollars more to modify the dryer because they sent a gas dryer and not a propane one. And also that we would have to wait even longer to get an installer that can do that because the current installers could not. My wife spent hours on the phone cancelling the entire order to make sure she gets refunded the credit card best buy earned a commission on by getting her to open it with them, only to find out weeks later that although the order was cancelled they never credited her card. Now we have a bad credit statement. Like come on best buy at that point where is the customer service and even the apology.

2022-02-23Bad experience, we went there just to buy a new apple iPad charger after we found it we went to the checkout and the cashier was so rude we asked how are you? and the lady just gave us a rude look and did not even reply then she said how much it was then we paid then she just ripped the receipt out and just said nothing then she was just like waving it around like a weirdo and did not even say have a good day nothing just very childish behavior.

Called to place an order for the new S22, they said pre order online to get it by 2/25/22. Did just that. No phone. Come to find out, all phones delivered to the store they sold to general public on a first come first serve basis! Who ever heard of that. What is the sense of pre order or online shopping then. I should have pre ordered with Walmart as usual. Never again. Quick to charge you though. Horrible customer service and when you call the actual store thats listed online you are connected to a CSR from anywhere besides the store youre calling.
