Just bought this great mixer. And it all would be good except for experience at Best Buy. My wife checked the price at 11:30pm online and it was $219. See screen grab attached. Today at the register the price is $229. See receipt attached. We ask to match the price because it was literally just 14 hours ago and we specifically made a trip to the store to buy it. We get some illogical explanation why they can not match the price. Its not even from a different store, its the same item from the same best buy store just several hours later. Moreover, its better for the store since they save on shipping and handling! And instead of keeping a costumer who would want to come and spend money at the store, they proceed with simply charging a higher price. Conclusion: dont go to the store!
The lady Kimberly .She is the best manager I have ever seen in any Best Buy locations of the city.She deserves a really good raise .She helps me found the earbuds that nobody in the store can find it except her.And her smile warms me ,She made my days .Love this location Just because of her.
I am not a BestBuy fan. However, came in for a computer and they had the best selection and prices. I gave Staples, Costco, Walmart an extensive look but they just did not have a clear selection and knowledgeable people like BestBuy. I still dont plan on being a regular customer but they definitely are worth a look.
Went to have services on my Laptops at the Geek squad desk a few times this month . Michael P and Kinza have made my expectations and past visits with such professionalism. Sales depot as well was top notch . I hope your realize the quality of employees you have here . Its been a long time that I felt this way about customer service and the team that you have you have it. Thanks again looking forward to purchase more items in this store again.
My air fryer recalls by Best Buy, so I took my fryer there, they requested for receipt but I read it online that they do not need it for recall because they are the only store who sell this. Anyway I gave it to the customer service and they couldnt give me store credit. They said I have to call the company for a box so I have to mail it back. I dont think I can trust this company in the future. Also bad attitude from customer service.
I just went to the Best Buy in Staten Island mall zip code is 10314. We are looking for the whirlpool refrigerator, we went to the small appliances center to ask help. The lady named Wendy who working in the small appliances center she trying to helping someone before me and she called another person to help me. A couple minutes later a lady come over to help me. She is pretty nice and helpful! But after that I realized I have couple more questions about the refrigerator . At the same time, the lady Wendy she is done helping people and she saying: is anyone need help? And I stopped her asked her two questions about the refrigerator, ONLY TWO QUESTIONS! ONLY TWO QUESTIONS! She did answer me TWO QUESTIONS, BUT she is unhappy and unwilling to help me. She has huge horrible attitude. She was yielding to me: who is help you? What she mean is go and found the person who have been helped you to get help. I was like: WHAT? HELLO!!What do you mean? The lady who helped me she has left and Wendy you are free right now and also you was saying is anyone need help. That’s why ask you help.You can’t help me?What do you mean right now? I was wondering why are you here for? To enjoying the AC or coffee or tea and get pay? You got paid, please do what you need to do. If you don’t like your job, please stay at home!!!and give your job to someone who need it. Also REMEMBER people who go to your store purchase, spend the money, what they need is service, NOT YOUR FREAKING ATTITUDE!!!
Stay away from a wannabe manager named Michelle. After waiting over 25 minutes in a virtual queue that we were instructed to join by a ginormous sign and asking twice to be helped she came at me waving her hands almost like as if she was going to throw punches saying they were busy and had to do what they had to do. I spent $1800 in there. Come to find out, shes not even in charge there. The guy that eventually did help us had to come from another department. I was waiting around in the computer section with my daughter. There wasnt another soul around. There was no excuse for the wait, but even worse than that was her response. Where I work, unprofessional behavior like that would be escalated and almost certainly be grounds for immediate dismissal. My daughter and I were shocked and quite shaken. Had it not been for the awesome gentleman who helped us, we would have taken our business elsewhere. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I felt bad that he was in that awkward position and I pray for his sake he finds employment elsewhere in the near future once he graduates college. Corporate was notified.
I give 4 stars bc u cannot call the store and speak to a human. I find this insane. I know some places have prompts before u can talk to or to deter u from talking to a human...but u CANNOT call the store, only a service. Unless u have a secret extension. So if ur having something serviced or u just have a general question hope u live close by bc ur gonna have to go in....other than that the human beings that work in the store are awesome and helpful😁
I came to Best Buy with my father to buy him a new TV. I knew exactly which model I was buying so thought this would be a faster than normal process. I thought wrong. We waited our turn as the other two sales workers were busy finishing up with their customers. A lady wearing a black shirt (sales manager?) Asks if we are being helped. I said no not yet and she says she will go get someone to help us. So far everything perfect. We wait a little more and another person from the back comes out asks if we are being helped. I responded no but a lady just walked in the back to look for someone to help us. Ok now another 10 mins go by still no one, and I see that lady walking around. We asked one of the original sales rep if hes able to help us seeing that he was done. He acknowledges us and says 1 minute. He then proceedes to help two other ppl looking at TVs before helping us. After 25 min I finally felt it was an appropriate time to go over to the sales rep and say thank you for taking two other people before us. Saw the lady when walking out and told her thank you for not helping. All I got was a im so sorry. I was ready to spent at least $1000, but I guess this store dosnt want it. Went immediately to PC Richard and was greeted and helped from the SECOND I walked in. This isnt the first time this happened to me at best buy, but this is definitely going to be my last. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
This has to be the worst bestbuy I ever seen the workers are lazy and refuse to check stock when it says it’s in stock online and another employee tells me they have over 10 of the items in stock but no one wanted to find them this isn’t the first time the lazy workers refused to help
Best is the best the reason is i now have the fire tv. Stick and thanks to best buy .my spectrum cable bill is down 100per .all you need is wifi&internet .then you can tell spectrum. To kick rock in word. Bye bye . i have my own cable control now i can watch what i want now that no more repeats
I ordered a Blue Yeti X online for 1 hour in-store pickup. After 2.5 hours, I have not received any update on the item being ready for pickup. Attempted to call store multiple times and sat on hold for over 30min without ever talking to a person despite the recording saying the wait time was only 3 minutes. I had to call Best Buy call center to get an extension to reach an actual person. I called the store back and used the extension given. The person I spoke to doesnt normally handle online orders but did what she could to find out what was going on. In the end, she had no update or useful information on the status of my order and just instructed me to wait longer. The item I ordered was the last one left in stock and I also had other things to do that day besides waiting on Best Buy to fulfill my order. The buying process was not convenient in any way and I wasted more time on phone trying to get an update than I would have if I had actually going down to store to check on it myself.If the store is unable to actually have order ready in 1 hour(or close to), then dont advertise that you can. Manage expectations and respect peoples time and efforts in planning their day. Im only asking that Best Buy adhere to the service that it advertises and nothing more. This type of service makes me believe you dont actually care about the customers satisfaction but only in getting our money. In the future, I will look for other companies to give my business to. Best Buy did nothing to try and correct the situation or offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience it caused.
The one representative had everything i wanted and knew where to get the items. He was so helpful. That was in the computer dept. I then asked him for wireless speakers for the and he directed me to that dept and introduced me to the other representative.I love best buy and how the employees take care of you there. You guys are wonderful.
I booked an appointment to see the Greek squad, and even after staying near the front of the store near the Greek squad, after my years of working in retail, I know what it looks like to profile someone and I was highly profiled for no reason. I will be making a Corporate complaint against them.
The general manager , name Kimberly Aigbe and Joshua are very great. Also, few workers,Anthony Brodsky,Kim,and Anthony Mikolajczak.They are show me,explain to me everything what I need to buy for the New house appliances, even they spend more than few hours, but still I got everything what I needed. Im very happy with my decision to go to best buy.P.S. thats Best Buy store, supposed to be proud of workers like that.Thank you.
I have been to this best buy for geek squad support for my bluetooth earbuds. I had problems with my galaxy buds +. Customer service was a little bit of a wait due to covid. Customer rep was easy to talk to and he helped me within minutes.I recommend people buying products at best buy to get their protection plan. I dropped mine in the toilet and they were able to replace it for me.
I bought a new 4k tv for my Playstation 5. The screen would black out for a few seconds. I told best buy of the problem and they suggested it was the hdmi cable. Fast forward 3 months, after 2 different kinds of hdmi cables, geek squad is involved and waiting on a 4th visit to see if this part will solve the problem. I tried exchanging the tv but they said Im passed the exchange window even though they suggested to buy the hdmi cables. I offered to pay the difference for a better version of the same brand and denied me.
I cannot praise the guys at the Richmond Avenue Best Buy in Staten Island enough for assisting me in selecting replacements for my cellphone and selecting a tablet. These guys were so generous with their knowledge and time, taking turns so other customers were also being tended to. Bryan, Nick and Chris were so patient with this non-tech savvy gal without making me feel inept... explaining everything to me in easy to comprehend terms. I love these guys! Thanks and hugs guys. So, this is my latest interaction with Staten Island Best Buy on Richmond Avenue...went back to buy an Air Conditioner...mine crapped out on me just before this horrific heat wave weve currently been experiencing. I sat with the people working that area of the store and after going through a few different models and their benefits I settled in a GE 14,000BTU model. Due to my being late in the game as the demands for installation were high, I had to wait over a week before installation was done. I endured subhuman heat in my apartment but got through it with a new standup fan I purchased at Best Buy...and lots of prayer. Ultimately, my AC was scheduled to be installed on my Birthday but due to rain it was postponed until three days later. It is against policy for technicians to install electrical device CES during inclimate weather. But, three days later the Geek Squad good time their word showed up early and preformed a miracle as far as Im concerned...within twenty minutes the shock to my organs from existing in hell for over a week of almost 100 degrees beating down on my attic apartment was over! I went from sizzling to welcomed cold I still am amazed at...my apartment, thanks to this Window AC from GE, has maintained a cool 68 degrees...if not for Sebastian the Miracle Worker and the other individual whos name I forgot who assisted in the installation I literally would have been a puddle melted from extreme heat exposure... Sebastian and Company are my new heros..Fast installation...a few operating pointers...removal if my dead AC...and no trace of packaging left on my floor and I was in a very cool place. Great guys...great service...the Geeks get it done!!!!!
I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from Best Buy, because they are promising to deliver a fridge to me for a month now. Our fridge broke and we bought one from Best Buy, the initial delivery was supposed to be June 8th and the fridge was bought in June 1st. They couldn’t deliver the first time due to the fact that they didn’t have enough manpower to move the fridge to the second floor. Secondary delivery was supposed to be June 16th, when they didn’t show up at all, no one called us or emailed us about the cancellation of the delivery. And the final delivery was scheduled for June 28th and they once again called us and asked us, what are we going to do if they don’t deliver the fridge, to which we just hung up at this point. I would never ever recommend buying anything from Best Buy, because the best they will do is keep lying to you about the fact that they will deliver the item you, which they end up not doing. I had to take 3 days off work and all of them for nothing, these guys couldn’t care the slightest about a full family sitting without a fridge for a month. The manager is lying to me, the delivery company XPO is their name by the way, never use them. I mean EVER. They called us and asked while laughing what would we do if they don’t deliver the fridge to us, basically they were taunting us at this point.Mauricia Harry, the manager who works at the Staten Island location at 2795 Richmond Ave, never deal with that woman. Liar, dodges my calls and my emails, her coworkers transfer me to each other when I specifically asked for her. Don’t order anything from that Best Buy
I purchased a laptop from Best Buy. A Dell model. After a year the internal battery was not working. When I went back to the store to tell them, the customer service representative was very rude to me, saying “you purchased one year warranty so what do you expect?” It seems this laptop was refurbished. Best Buy is not like it used to be in the past. My first laptop I purchased from them lasted many years.
Can these children be bothered to pick up a phone? I’ve called 7 TIMES. Waited roughly 7-15 minutes for each phone call. I’m trying to reach anyone willing to speak on my tech issue. This is the problem with the new generation, they whine and don’t work. They get more useless throughout time. The manager at this place is appalling.
Stay away from Best buy! I went through 2 Canon TS 8520 Canon printers. The second one was a replacement The 3 rd PIXMA was an upgrade that failed. So the sent me a,4th one that froze . No one responded . The direct servive line took forever, slent hours, days trying to ge through. One year before that i bought an HP desktop that broke down. Even i had purchased a waranty the manager told me it doesent cover the broken dowm hard drive. 175 dollrs more. There is no quality control department tbere anymore i was told by an insider and most products are outsorced. So after about 800 wasted dollars i was told they coulnd help me. I got so angry they threatened to call the police. Since then 2 of my HP desktop ports crumbled on the front face of my PC. My music producions were put off for 2 months because of these people. PS. i bought my next printer at Stapels, works great! Its Brother printer.
I needed a paste for my hard drive and when doing so I got no help from anyone although I explained that I needed help. Instead my 12 year old daughter found it for me. I proceeded to the check out in front since no one at the computer side seemed to be any help. Then I was told I had to go back to them because my item wouldnt scan. Luckily a gentleman did end up helping me check out.
Bought a laptop from here a few days ago. I had been in the store frequently for the past few weeks to look at laptops that they had on display to see which one was the best option for a gift. Im not the type of customer to go ask for help on particular things so this isnt going to be a review about how helpful the staff was. When Im in a retail store I prefer to be left alone so that I can shop without the pressure of store associates trying to push sales on me.After I had made my choice, I came to the store to buy it and when I went into the computer section there was only one person working there. Seeing that they were busy, I went to somebody at the support desk and they helped me right away. The laptop was not under the display unit and the associate went out of his way to find the laptop from the Overstock when it wasnt his job to do so. He was very understanding that they were low staffed for the day and rang me up. Maybe it was because he wasnt working in that department but he did not try and push a warranty as hard as other people do when selling high-end Electronics. He made the process smooth and I felt no pressure at all.I understand that the stores are under heavy pressure from the higher-ups to make warranty sales and to attach things to their Market Basket, however, I never buy those anyway and I hate being in the position when I have to constantly refuse the offers from the store associates. So while that worker may have gotten in trouble for not meeting his metrics, thank you random Geek Squad guy for making this process smooth for me. I spent a lot of time going to the store debating on what laptop to buy and the last thing I needed was more pressure on sale.
Normally, I dont go to any stores, in fact, I hate having to go through the hassle, especially hardware and computer stores. Today I had to go to Best Buy because my son needed a computer. I go into the store and I looked around, they had a good selection of products and the place in general looked really clean. There was only one person that was in the computer section, his name was Austin and he was talking to another customer when we entered. After he finished, he directly came to us. He asked if he could help us and how our day was going. He was really pleasant and showed sincerity. We had been looking for a fast computer at a decent price, keep in mind, I knew nothing about computers. He showed us several computers and let us take our time and look at them, he never rushed us to make a decision and was never pushy. I asked him so many questions and with every question he came back with a detailed answer. He knew everything about the computer and showed his capability. He was very nice, he was making jokes and making us laugh and overall a really helpful person. Austin made the experience a lot smoother and brightened up the day. I will be making sure to come back to Best Buy and ask for Austin the next time that I need a computer.
They provide good service at this Best Buy. I came in to get a laptop repaired that I didnt buy from the store and they fixed it for me free of charge (it was a minor hardware repair and my family bought some kind of repair warranty that covers almost every kind of appliance/electronic repair). Thanks to the guy who helped me. Theyve also made changes to the check-out (at least, since the last time Ive been here). It feels faster now.
Went to best buy today looking for some smart home accessories and security cameras. One security camera I wanted was locked up, 20 minutes of waiting for a blue shirt later they take 5 minutes to look and see if they have it on their computer. After that, he pulls out his phone to do a google search on the product he apparently knows nothing about and tells me that I need a base station if I only want one camera. Otherwise Ill have to get a 2, 3+ pack...okay thanks anyway.I go to my car, look into the camera I was interested in a bit further only to discover that this guy had no idea what he was talking about. I went across the street to Target and left 5 minutes later with the camera I wanted, at a better price.If you value your time, dont walk into this best buy. If you must come here because theyre the only store that has what youre looking for, do your research beforehand and order curbside pickup for a better experience.
I actually love this store. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Bought all my TVs and a Fridge and some Vacuum cleaners here. Thing is though...... I dont shop here anymore. The complete series which I love, this store does not have a good collection of and they also took out CDs, which I know is old school but they used to have a great variety. Anyway I recommend this place as I still know a few people who work there and they work hard.
I bought a coffee maker that was on sale. The poor salesman was alone. I asked for a bag but didnt have any. Now i have to walk home so i asked the fellow by the door for a bag and he found the perfect size . asked me for a nickel and all i had was a five dollar bill. He caught a bad attitude when i told him i have no change on me. So he took the five dollars and made sure he got his nickel. I cant believe how he carried on over a nickel. Very bad customer service.
This location stocks thier inventory very well & is swift with merchandise pick up. However, over the years, the customer service and product knowledge has drastically reduced. My recent Black Friday visit, the sales person was simply reading the specifications of the product from the cardboard insert next to the price. Its a shame to see how best buy is a monopoly in retail electronic sales & the residents of the community simply settle for less when shopping. If the brand recruited more professional sales people or simply supply thier selling floor with more brand reps versus first party sales people, then this location can be redeemed.
Called to ask a question regarding my warranty on my cell phone. After being on hold, listening to holiday music (Holiday Season is over BTW), for almost 30 minutes, they hung up on me. Terrible customer service being exhibited by what used to be, one of my favorite stores.
I currently live in Staten Island, and been loyal best buy costumer for many years i have been shopping for speakers for 3 weeks but every time i go to this staten island store both magnolia studios are being used to store large box appliances, and even with that, there is only one person who can demo a couple of speakers for me. last week he wasn’t there when i went in, so i had to go to best buy in New Jersey to hear the speakers i ended up purchasing that day (bowers and Wilkins 603 2.000 a pair ) . today I went back for 2 B&W 606 bookshelf speakers and the same thing happened, I ended up going back to NJ again and bought the speakers after a short demo . The only reason i give my local best buy any stars at all is because they have this one employee :J....a Works there sometimes. And was knowledgeable and very helpful the first time i was there .
Still offering their products and services while adhering to safe distancing requirements. They offer masks and sanitizer at the door.Large, clean, excellent customer service. Unlike other locations in NYC they still offer electronics recycling. That alone is worth a star :)
They have been very helpful with the purchase of a new laptop and the Geek Squad set up my computer. Unfortunately the harddrive on my old computer was corrupted yet they were able to download some very important drawings and writings off a zip drive while i was there.They also are very conscientious about wearing their masks during Covid and the appointment setup works well.
Good salesman. Had what I was looking for. Always a pleasure to shop at best buy. Had TV I was looking for (insignia 39 1080p fire stick edition) at $149 which was $80 off. Was gonna get the 32 720p for $99.95 but it will be used for xbox one and movies by my children so bigger Is always better, and 1080p gonna kill it in there room. Cant wait to set it up. Thanks again best buy for making it easy for me!
I went to this place early in the morn. There werent many customers in the building me and a few Fireman. The Manager dismissed me to someone else and the rest of the Crew were busy talking amongst one another to assist me. It took 10 minutes before i was finally recognized by a very helpful Gentleman. The cashier was also very friendly. I wasted so much time when i couldve been directed to the right location
Im a big fan of Bestbuy, but I was quite dissatisfied with this location. The first thing I noticed when I arrived at the store was a limited staff, for this reason I had to go searching to find the location of the Christmas gift I was looking to purchase. It didnt take too long to find, but it would have been nice to have a representative on the floor to point me in the right direction. After finding the location where the Google home product line was stocked, I was quite disappointed to find an empty shelf where the Google homes should have been. I managed to find a representative in another department, who did go to check to see if there was any available units in the back stockroom, unfortunately upon his return he explained to me that they have been out of stock for over a week and that the only available option for purchase was to either order it in the store or online for home delivery. My biggest gripe with this is as a big box retailer, especially around the holidays, this is the kind of item that should have been in stock as advertised and available for immediate purchase.
This is the only Best Buy in Staten Island so be prepared. The store is almost always crowded and unless you know what you want and it is on a shelf you will have to wait for help. The staff is knowledgeable and is helpful. The parking lot is filled with people who dont know how to drive so beware
This is a good best buy, very helpful workers. However beware of online ordering. Last time I ordered something online for pick up, they misplaced my order. I had to stand there for an hour and a half til they told me they couldnt find it and would have to reorder it. As soon as i got home i got an email saying it was available for pick up. I had to go all the way back cause they found it. Another 20 minutes and now they have to cancel the reorder and i have to rebuy in-store. Such a big hassle. I only did online pick up because i didnt want the item stolen from delivery, and it wasnt available to buy in the store. Other than that its still a good best buy, and I still shop there.
I was calling to inquire about the brand new RTX 3080 graphics cards. Ive never been treated with so much disrespect in my life. NOBODY PICKS UP THE PHONE. NOBODY. Called multiple times being disconnected after listening to their ENTIRE CATALOG OF MEDIOCRE HOLD MUSIC. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE WAY TO TREAT A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Next time, Ill be taking my business to 7/11. Surely, they wouldnt treat a customer like this!
Every time I go to buy something in this store I waste a lot of time.A few people are directly involved in sales and spend about 30-40 minutes for each customer, and the rest of the staff who are not engaged in anything on the sales floor replies that they will not help you since it is not their job. Extremely illiterate personnel management and distribution.
Their policy of return is to short. Living in NY the time goes by fast. 1 week is like a day. Bought a tablet and was not able to get to it as I was traveling. When I did open it, it did not work. I was told to buy a new one. I could not return it and they could not fix it. Horrible customer service.
Ordered something online and went to pick it up at this store. I placed my order about 2.5 to hours before closing. The she said it would be ready for store pickup within an hour. As you may have guessed it wasnt. They decided to tell me it was ready after the store had closed. So the next day I and meet with the friendly staff who apologize for my having to wait. As one of the items I ordered was an open box item I was asked if I wanted to examine it. Fortunately, I did. Turns out was the wrong smartwatch. It was actually a lot more expensive than the one I was planning to get. So I had to wait for the manager to find the correct watch. He send to take a while and when he finally does come back he says he cant find it but he found an open box version of it. I explain to him that that was what I had ordered. So why did I give them 3 stars. Well I had been there several times before and have never had a problem. I also never had anything more than average customer service. So there you go.
I do not like their return and exchange policy. I went to return an item, that was a b-day gift for me. I could not return it or exchange because it was opened?! How would I know if i like it or not unless I open it? But the girl at the customer service tried her best to help me out.
Had issue with expired Tax Exempt.Customer Service Rep. is a high school student who reached her conclusion before listening to my expired tax complaint. When Manager was requested, she made it know that the Manager can not change her decision. It took the Manager 17 minutes to meet with me after the Customer Service Rep. met him on his way and told him her version of what she thought transpired. Done with Best Buy. Theres PC Richards around the corner.
The staff were very nice and helpful. However they seem to always be helping another customer. There is usually a good amount of staff walking around so it doesn’t take me that long to find an associate when I need help. I Just wish their toy selection was bigger and the prices could be a little bit cheaper.
The worse company ever. Not a real issue with this store but Terrible service and policies as a company. Had my account hacked several years ago. Made the mistake of opening a new account. I never received the card or the 1st statement. I did get the 2nd statement which didnt have the purchases listed but did have a late fee and interest fee. I called and after several explanations of never receiving the card or the 1st statement and two representatives... I got the representative to waive the incorrect late fee. I was asked to make a payment asap at the store if possible. In good faith, I tried to do that by going into the store with a bank check for the full amount instead of a personal check. Well, guess what? They dont take bank checks. Prefer cash or personal check. I had to call back... blah blah blah.... will never shop there again.
I had to drop off my daughters Mac at geek squad for repair. Unfortunately the computer wasnt going to be repaired and returned for about two to four weeks. I had the pleasure of meeting Mauricia Harry , I explained that I needed a computer for my daughter to use for school and the situation I was in. Mauricia was very helpful and patient and she was able to get me a good deal on a Mac for my daughter to use while her other one is being fixed.
This store was completely a disappointment. I called on sunday to ask about the recycle of TV that are marked recycle at best buy and was told that I could bring the TVs in with no problem. The sales person that I spoke with (did not get her name) said I would only be charged if the TV was 65 and over. To my surprise when I got to best buy the security and several sales person standing around informed me I would be charged 29.99 to recycle any of the TVs despite the size. I said that I was told no but because I did not get the persons name I was speaking with they basically told me it was my problem. I came there today and I just Wanted to say GREAT SERVICE over at the laptop section!!!! I just Came in and the guy that helped me looked like he literally just started his shift and immediately he helped me!! With no problem gave me great tips and advice and I was actually upset cause I didnt Think I’d be able to get a good laptop and he helped me pick out a great laptop in less than 15 minutes ! Thank you so much I wish The receipt showed his name cause he really helped me out a lot !!
I remember at a time the management was really concerned with employees having knowledge of their products and making sure they have top quality customer service. That seems to not be the case as of late but still is a pretty nice store and is decently stocked. I usually order my products online but if that option it unavailable I am usually able to do a store pickup here.
I was there last week looking for a particular DVD, and I went there early in the morning, since all the staff does is just sit around and talk to each other instead of helping their customers. But when I got there, they still wouldn’t offer to help. I tried asking at customer service if they had it, and at first the woman was friendly, but after I told her what DVD I was looking for, she gave me a dirty look. She said they didn’t have it, and then I asked if she could order it and I’d come back to pay for it when I pick it up, but she just said, “No” in such a rude tone, but yet she was friendly and polite and helpful to the guy in front of me. All I know is, she was African American, a bit on the heavy side, had glasses, and slight wrinkles. If I see her again and she behaves this rudely and unhelpful again, hell will break loose.
The store at least matches their prices to the price online. The parking is good and the store is clean, but the people working there only care about talking to each other. They will look at your face as you walk up to talk to them and then turn back to their conversations without asking if you need help.
Attempted to return an item 16 days after purchasing. found the receipt the same day and realized their return policy is a short 15 day window. associate indicated there was nothing they could do and had to offer me store credit. otherwise, there is not much of value I can tell you about this place you likely dont already know. rigid policies, a minor contributor among other things, will likely lead to the company closing brick and mortar stores since they cant or wont compete in a mostly online consumer driven economy
Today I was in The Best Buy on Richmond Rd., Staten Island, NY. Unfortunately experience Something very unusual! I walked into the store and the first gentleman that approach me asked me could he help me I show him I am now looking for and he pointed back to a certain section in the store. I although the store was not busy at all! He gave me the impression that he was too busy to show me where the item was. After walking back into the store where the camera section was, I still could not find the item, so I asked another sales person on the floor. The gentleman did the exact same thing. Pointed to a section in the Store! After walking back into the area he point to still no area. So I ask a third floor seles person. Finally he walk me over to a end cap where the area. I ask him is he know if they had anymore in stock! The young gentleman said this is all we have. After looking over the display and not finding the item on sale, I when to the front of the store and ask to speak with a manage who walk with me to the area and look up the item! He explain to me that they did not have any in stock, but they could order it for, I did order the item. As I was walking back up Towards the door, I watched the two Gentlemen that would not provide any assistance, flirt with two females in the store who were not purchasing anything at all. I have always place customers first. I also walk over to the copy / printers. The young gentleman there was so busy trying to explain to me about how much he know until I have to ask him the Simple question? If I Brought my printer back to the store, would he be able to assist me with getting it to work! His answer was I don’t work on them. But I’m sure I can fix it! But that’s not what I do! All I can say is good luck to this new younger Generation-younger! So much Negative energy from such a young sales crew. That was just my Experience.
The store itself was good but the salesman, Tyler, was great.He took the time to explain electronics to me and even drew me pictures for me to take home so that i could hook up my electronics properly!So , if anyone is tecnically challenged like me.....please see Tyler....hes a master!
I went to the store looking for a specific TV, I showed the employee the link on my phone and he left to find it. He came back saying the tv was not in stock, but he helped us get it delivered in two days. Disappointed my item was not in stock, but I was still able to accomplish what I came there for. Staff is friendly when you finally get someones attention. No one will walk up to us to ask if we need help, the customer usually needs to chase someone down. Besides that one flaw, I still rate it 4 stars because once you do find someone, they help you as much as they can.
In general, a good best buy, but some staff members are extremely lazy and just plain disrespectful. I was asking for assistance from this guy, and he said hell check it, then right in front of my eyes stopped chatting with his coworkers. This is a thing in the usa? Why? How can you be so disrespectful for the customers? I guarantee, in Europe, if you do that youll get fired immediately. Plain and simple.
When I walked through the door I wasnt even welcomed no one came to me I had to go to them! It was not busy at least 5 employees were just standing around! When I did ask for a specific item, the young man told me we definitely do not have the screen protector! As for the case you are looking for it is in the Samsung section!!! He proceeded to point over there!!! This is why your stores are closing and people buy on line! No one cares about helping others! Shame Shame on them!
Wanted to call and ask for a part on top of waiting over 30 minutes on hold i was then transferred to the store and they let it ring and then put it on hold and hung up. If your hours say you start at 10 you start working at 10 not 10 30 not 11 horrible phone service fully convinced me to never come back to this one again along with their very small selection of items
Went in to purchase a laptop. Thought I was going to go on the budget friendly side when you are broke option. But ended going better friendly but still need a decent laptop way. HP Envy 360 and the salesman was super nice and patient with me. This seems to always be the case when I go to this particular location. Staten Island, you are good for one thing at least.
Wide assortment of products for household, as well as personal digital devices. The purchase process goes fast & smooth as long as you have money. The staff members are always around to offer you something or help finding the right product. BestBuy also has online shop available, with even more products and great deals.
The worst shopping experiece Ive ever had.I was there from 10 am to 11 am just to ask about an open box item ... most of employees try to escape from customers.they werent helpfull at all.Finally , the Item was missing the charger although it is supposed that it has no missing parts as descriped.
I will never shop here again. Bought a security camera system here for 1050. Was in the store 3 weeks later and it was priced at 900 and they refused to refund me the difference 150 drop in price I. 3 weeks is unacceptable. I shopped there because I expected the beat prices possible and yet 3 weeks later the item was 150 less. This store will eventually go the same way toys r us did next door... Good riddance beat buy I will now be doing all my electronics shopping at b&h photography in Manhattan. Customer service is far superior.
If I could give Best Buy “0” stars I would, their customer service is TERRIBLE! My boyfriend and I stood in the google home section waiting for anybody to help us and we waited in vain since nobody came over. We went out of our way to ask for help and the response we got was “ I wouldn’t know anything about that I work in the TV section”. Useless staff. Horrible customer service. When shoppers have to go up to other shoppers for help you know there’s a problem. My boyfriend and I will be taking our business elsewhere.
This chain provides a lack of telephone customer assistance checking product and pricing availability. While you can check product availability and pricing on computer. Try contacting any location via phone when a computer and Internet is down or unavailable. The Staten Island location didnt have a new Samsung tablet on display even though they had several in stock. I had to wait 20 minutes before the manager decided to put one out. The tablet costs several hundred dollars and it would be nice to test one out.
Always get a great deal when i go. I like there insurance plans. Anyhtime i have a problem they give me a new item no questions asked. The staff are very knowledgeable. The store is usally well stocked. Alway have new items. Store is very clean and well managed. There is a huge parking lot so spots are always available. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend.
Terrible Best Buy. Unfriendly, unhelpful and poor product selection. Employees went out of their way to tell us they were too busy to help us. When we could find someone to ask a question, they had no clue about the product. When paying at the register, they never ask for your rewards card, and hand your bag with a grunt. Terrible customer service. I hate going there but do so only to get products quicker than ordering online from Amazon. Best Buy at home in hawaii is an example of a well run store. Staten Island store needs training of their employees, and should consider using Hawaii Best Buy as the model
Staff is more concerned with talking to each other than helping you. They claim to match other prices, good luck getting help. Think of order online and pickup in store, nope they mess that up to. They will send email that it is ready and not find your order or ask you to go to the aisle and pick one out....? Save time and money go to Amazon
Horrible service in sprint department. salesman Luis was not helpful at all. I was told my Samsung s 8 plus should work with sprint and its been 4 days my phone is not registered. I went back today to get the problem fixed and another salesman told me the phone cannot be used with sprint I wasted my time and money. also when i requested to cancel my service. I was told by Mario its canceled and when I called up sprint they are telling me its still active and I have some charges. I will never go back to best buy and stay away from sprint scam. very dishonest.
Hi. I brought LG washer and dryer two weeks ago from STATEN island bestbuy. And installation experience was very bad cause they missed my first appointment and lying to me theyre on the way they gave me hard time, Long story short I made my second appointment 12pm to 6 pm on December 4th. They came 8:35 PM cause I told them I wanna cancle the order. And I wanna let you know the geek guys they didnt fix good appliance. they dont have any experience how to fix, they put wrong wire and wire was sparking omg and even they telling me theyre very hurry to go somewhere else. This is not fair cause I have to paid $1797 and bestbuy give me very bad service . The guy didnt done work I need to bring someone expert to fix some work witch they left.
Ordered a refrigerator online. First it said delivery Friday but I paid delivery magically became Monday. Ok, fine, not a big deal. They came, took one look at the stairs to my second floor kitchen and left. They said it would not fit. I had to call twice to get my money back!And by the way, I ordered the same refrigerator from PC Richards and son the same day and they delivered and installed it two days later. Magic, it fit!
I visited the store this past Sunday 2/3. The young African American lady with short dreds was AWESOME!!! My son Jaiden was a bit cranky that day and she joked with him which took him from level 8 to level 1. He was happy. I was happy. We all were happy!! She was AWESOME!! She is part of the Geek Squad.
I wonder how this store even makes any money. First, most associates are too busy chit chatting. Nobody is willing to assist you with choosing the product. Second, their main register was closed, the other one was busy for at least 1/2 an hour, as per associate working there. I literally had to walk around the store and beg the associates to ring me up.
Walked in Best Buy store in Staten Island last month, found a laptop, Tag price $799.99, then additional $ 100 discount. I decided to buy it. The sales person induced me to open a Best Buy credit card, and told me the additional $100 discount will be showed in the Best Buy Credit card. so, Best Buy charged me in full in the store. But when I received the Credit card, no any credit at all. contacted customer service, they said the online price now is $899.99. They already gave me $100 discount in the store. disgusting! my wife and I was in the store at that time. both of us confirmed the price and also the sales person confirmed it too!never purchase in Best Buy again.disgusting sales, dishonorable sales.
If it werent for Angel and his crew in the car audio install bay... this Bestbuy would get two stars from me.Everything else about this best buy is horrible the phones dont work, the wifi doesnt work, the employees lie to your face, managers dont call you back if your having a problem with something they should have taken care of.When are corporations going to realize if your not going treat your customers right from step 1 through 10 just shutter your doors.If I wasnt disabled I would have done the install myself than deal with store.
Had to wait over 45 mins in computer section. I understand if it was busy but there was only one other customer there. Every employee would say they were busy and then would see them talking to other employees. Horrible custom service. If you need helping picking out a computer or laptop don’t go to this store.
This more so for online because my son hates going to this store. My son purchased a 65 inch curve TV for me and my wife for Valentines day, he purchased online on 1/31, 2/1 he was told he need rescheduled, he tried but was unable to, he called customer service, they told him its out of inventory, so he wants to cancel it. The person tried, it would not allow her to. They asked him to try again the next day. On 2/2, he called to cancel, they couldnt do and does not know why, they really cant do anything but wait and try again. He called on 3/3, frustrated that they put a hold on his card and has no idea when its going to be delivered, an unprofessional service person said theres nothing she can and that he has to wait or go to the local store and see if they cant because she cant. So my son has no idea when its going to come, they are holding his credit card hostage and customer service sucks!! I told him he should have bought through Amazon like the family does, but he wanted to save money. Best Buy, horrible online experience for him, he will never ever use these people again. No wonder Amazon is killing businesses its because of experiences like this. They really need to up their game seriously because Walmart has now join the online shopping competition. This location does have a Magnolia section that offers high end audio which is a plus but the staff is mainly young kids that are not very knowledgeable.When asking questions about a receiver I was looking to get I was only offered generic answers and not real specs that I was looking for, and this was after waiting 20min for someone to help me.Later while in the TV section I had a question about mounting a HDTV to a wall and the sales person was very helpful even direction me elsewhere to get the items I might need for a tricky mounting they BB did not have the hardware for,I guess its hit or miss on the level of service you will get at this location.Oh and they do need to clean the bathroom a bit more often.
The only reason Id go to best buy instead of Amazon is the in person customer service. When you call them its a maze of automated menus and referrals to their website and when you finally get the department phone no one answers. Have someone answer the store calls and connect them with the departments.
The store is good.. Returns take. Foreeeeeevvvveeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrer. There is usually only one person at the return counter and the line is usually to the back of the store. Otherwise most people I have encountered have been helpful and offered good advice. The game section gets smaller everytime I go in. The 📺 section has a great selection and you can get great deals on open box items.
Cashier was very friendly, the salesmen were ok but they went from either super pushy to why are you bothering me. Wasnt too happy about being pounced on immediately without a chance to look and then after being abandoned when I asked for a few minutes. The original salesperson left, never to be seen again and I finally got a guy after I had to stop two employees to ask for help. But the guy I got seemed to be really annoyed that hes had to work. The cashier was extremely friendly though
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I went to this Best Buy location this past Friday for black Friday. I was hoping to purchase a laptop and childrens tablet.The store was not crowded at all, I went towards the laptop section there was no one there to assist so I kinda stood around for few minutes unassisted . I Walked over to the geek squad area as that was the only area I saw a worker, I approached him and kindly asked where I can find the specific laptop model or something similar I was looking for. He RUDELY shouted YOU HAVE TO WAIT as he turned his back taking an im ignoring you stance. I requested to speak to speak with a manger or someone who can assist, he stated theres no one here and we only have a few workers, because its black Friday . I requested his information and he gave me his card in an arrogant manner Joseph Marrone. Shocked, I began walking away in hopes of finding someone else who can assist, there was another sales person I asked if he can assist he didnt want to be bothered and again I was treated in a RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL manner just like the previous worker. I requested his name he refused to provide it. After spending much time without assistance I decided to leave, highly upset as i was walking out I asked the worker who was checking receipts by the exit if he can please call a manager. Thats when he called someone by the name of Pablo , I explained to Pablo what had occurred. I also pointed out the worker who refused to provide his name, and asked Pablo what his name was as i will be escalating this matter Pablo responded his name is IGOR. Pablo offered no assistance to me regarding what occurred with Joseph and Igor, Pablo didnt even ask if he can help find what Im looking for. He vaguely stated you can call customer service and lodge a complaint. I AM TRULY DISGUSTED by the lack of customer service skills at this BEST BUY! No customer should have this experience !! These employees need THROUGH TRAINING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!! JOSEPH , IGOR AND PABLO SHOULD BE FIRED!! To prevent further inappropriate occurrences like this.
Horrible customer service in Staten Island. Management seem less interested in correcting this problem and more interested in deflecting complaints and protecting employees. It seems Best Buy will get away with this until they have some real competition. I cant wait for another electronic retailer to open so I can go there.
As soon as i walked in Kimberly asked how she can help, told her im looking at laptops, she personally took me ro Dakota, he was very helpful, went to pay for a sprite, asked cashier Andrei took me to see video doorbells after i asked him where dept was. Im very pleased with my visit!! Oh & prices were very comparable to any online only business
Worst Best Buy I ever did business with it was the worst customer service I ever experienced. I ordered a microwave from them a few days ago for pick up and the female employee at the pick up desk would not let me take it home without a drivers license even though I had all the paperwork from the order with the reciept stapled to everything else placed in a best buy folder by the employee that took my order 2 days before. Even though I know its there policy I still think I could have been treated a little better the girl at the pick up desk was very rude and completely unprofessional and the manager was no help and also completely unprofessional and under qualified.
Google wont allow zero stars but this location earned -5 stars. Terrible customer service. The Black guy was the ONLY one who offered to assist me after I wandered helplessly arpund the store for 10 minutes. THEN some manager (I presume as her shirt looked different than the others *rolling my eyes*) called him away, ordered him to do something else and left me stranded. Go there when you feel like paying money to be ignored.Screw this location in all its blue and yellow glory!!
Not happy with this branch. The employees are not knowledgable about some of the products. I know about tech more than the average buyer, but I try to be humble about it and be open to what the sales team tells me; however, I felt like they focused more on making sure i buys something rather than see what is it Im really looking for.
The apperence of the store is very clean and tidy. The only problem I have is some departments of customer service such as the TV section (I was waiting for 30 minutes as they wasnt doing anything and didnt even acknowledge me). Very rude girls there walked in at closing with a dyson product just spent $700 on and was broke so I wanted to return they rudely asked me to leave so I asked for a manager they refused to get me a manager but said she would call security instead so I said to her you need to be brushed up on how to treat and talk to customers they said not for people like me I will be back there Tomorrow to return my product and talk to a manager
I stood around for 20 mins before someone help me and that was a security guard for the obvious reasons ! Seems like the employees are more interested into talking to each other and just walking around in the store ! If I didn’t need the headset I would have order from Amazon ! They make it seem like they’re doing you a favor and the store was empty sad
What am I even doing here? Smh! Few people told me to go to the store in Brooklyn but I didn’t listen. As I got here to get my computer checked out, there were two people ahead of me and I didn’t mind waiting. A man came complaining that the service was taking too long which is right. The man went around and complained which I could care less about because I made sure to set up an appointment online. Finally, when it was my turn to get help, a lady came from the back saying that a man has been complaining he wasn’t getting help quick enough. First of all, my name was on the screen and it was my turn but because the man complained he had to get help. Obviously, I didn’t stand for that and let them know I haven’t waiting 23mins for some dude to get ahead of me. Anyway, they couldn’t even help me....on my way to Brooklyn for better service hopefully.
This is only best buy on staten island and they are better than most best buys in manhattan. The workers here help as much as they can. They try their best to get you what you need and leave happy. yeah,you have some bad apples that complicate stuff,but majority are there for you like it should be. they usually have everything in stock. Always shop here.
Not happy with this BestBuy. I bought a TV coincidently before I went on vacation for 2 weeks. When I came home the TV would not turn on? It was a few days past their refund policy and would not help at all so I got stuck with a broken TV and a $1000 credit card bill for nothing!
I give Best Buy 5 stars mainly because theres not many electronic brick and mortar stores to peruse that allows you to see, hear and try items before making a decision, that offer pretty competitive pricing (and have sales that most times are best price), and they have a pressure free environment. No 5 minute up sales on insurance.
Had a horrible experience here today with the manager in the TV section, Krissy, as well as a few other of the employees. My father bought my little brother a tv for the holidays on December 9th. He never removed the tv from the box and it stayed in the same room this whole time. Today when he was hanging the tv for my little brother, they realized once they turned it on that the tv was broken. They brought the tv back to this store on Richmond, and my elderly father was treated like absolute trash by the younger staff. He kindly explained what happened with the tv, showed a receipt, and asked for a refund. He was immediately screamed at, with one of the male employees making sly comments at him such as “you better fix your additude”. My father is a kind 50 year old foreign man and you, a kid in your mid 20s are gonna tell him to fix his attitude when he simply asked for a refund? We understood the store policy when it was explained normally by one of the kinder employees, and accepted it without argument. We did not try to argue, nor did we raise our voices. However the manager of the tv section, Krissy, continued to be nasty to my father the entire exchange, yelling st him to get out. She continued to tell my father that he isn’t getting anything and that he should just stop. What kind of manager treats a respectful customer like that. I don’t understand why my father received his treatment today, and I hope no one else comes to this store as no one deserves to be treated like this. I will be filing a formal report as well.

2022-06-24I went in for Epson V600 scanner. I couldn’t find it so I asked Mina, one the employees for help. He proceeded to run around the store, all 4 corners (all while he is looking for a customers lost phone on top of that). And he finds the scanner finally. Professional and friendly. Mina is the best!

2020-11-20Ordered online for a store pickup, wasted an hour of my time going there and standing in line, Speaker was damaged and the box too. And thats the only one they had in stock... so the question is Why do you fulfill an order if your product is damaged? They offered me a 5% discount for a damaged Walnut speaker... Just check your item at Pickup so you wont have any problems.

2022-02-06Bought an open box computer on the website and all the accessories were missing, had to drive back to the store and sit there for over and hour just for them to find all the accessories (that were promised in the sale on the website) off of the display just to go home again to find out the computer wasnt reset correctly and windows wasnt added by geek squad which is protocol by best buy as per best buy management and corporate stated. Geek squad admitted to they accidentally overlooked this computer and did not follow protocol but its out of their hands and will have to charge us over 250 dollars to just fix a problem they forgot to in the first place.

2022-01-04Best Buy is good for browsing, especially if you want to physically see and feel the product you are looking to buy before making a big purchase. I bought the Zoom H6 recorder here, it was in stock at the right price, and the sales rep was helpful. I went here again recently to check out some DSLR cameras. Again, the sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful, so thank you for that. I didnt end up buying a camera here, not all of their items were in stock, and it seems like better deals were to be had online. In the age of online shopping, Best Buy comes in handy when you want to really see and feel a product.

I shop there very often and every time we get the right and accurate information about everything. I recommend it to everyone and I believe the workers deserve a raise!

2022-01-24Over all good experience the bad part is the first guy at the customer service counter was unhelpful. Asked me to go look for it in the aisle and there was none left. Then I had to wait on the line again and then there was a nice woman that helped me out for returning and ordering a replacement for my Bluetooth earpiece. That was bad would not have to have had waited on the line again if the guy just looked in the computer to see that they hadnt in stock
