Was looking for a bluetooth phone ear piece. I was told by an associate. That was stocking items, to go to the front of the store, so I could sign it, and another associate, would help me, when available. I did that, then when someone did help me, they did not know where to find the item even looked it up on a handheld and stated they did not have them. But they could order one. I declined and as I walked out, I walked by a display with them. Just depends who is helping you. Went in yesterday and Joe was awesome.
Erica was very rude when we went into the store to ask questions about a price quote. We were standing in line and instead of helping us helped the people behind us. Said she was already helping the people behind us when she was actually helping another customer before us that had already moved to another area of the store. So that was a lie. Do not recommend using this store unless you absolutely have to.
The clerk told me that the item I was looking for wasnt in stock. And tried to upsell me. I went on-line and showed him it said they had three in stock. He back pedaled and said he must have looked it up wrong. I wanted it that night but after that move, I ordered it on Amazon and it will be here on Tuesday.
The service was GREAT! The product was available with a smile.The employees always had a helping hand with a smile from beginning to end.The store was pleasing to the eye and clean. Im a stickler for cleanliness🙂. I will always shop at this Best Buy for my electronics.
First of i apologize for the late review, so i walked into the store right after my phone had died, i looked at the guy (Devon) and was like hey heres my budget i really need a new phone can you help me out. he walked me through all the phones in my budget and even compared they all to find the best between price and power, in the end i got a new phone and im very happy with his service!
Employees asked if I needed help right away. And made sure to ask if I needed help with anything when I was looking around. One tried to get me to buy a more expensive laptop than what I was looking at. But I did my own homework and got what I needed. No biggie. Great customer service and will shop there again.
Looking for refrigerator. Very few available at any retail store at this time.So, they set me up with an advisor, free of charge. She will be calling me to see if she can help as she has more access.I was very impressed with Justin and Kindall. Also, the gentleman at desk that helped me. They were all very helpful and courteous. I retired from Retail after 40 years and feel that all these people are definate asset to Best Buy. Kudos to all 3people.
This was a very nice store full of helpful staff members. The young man that waited on me was very pleasant and quite knowledgeable on a range of subjects. He helped me to decide what I really needed and what I didnt need. Ill definitely go back there whenever I need anything electronic
Its a relatively small best buy, theyve got all the things youd expect them to have but the variety is a bit lacking thanks to its size. They have a very limited selection of keyboards for example, but if you need to get a new phone, wire, or whatever and need it fast its your best option in the area. Just keep in mind that if you are looking for a wide selection of mechanical keyboards youll be disappointed.
I visited Best Buy with my family quite a number of times in the pass. It was good until yesterday while Im trying to get a last minute birthday gift for my son, Mr.Jason had not only given excellent customer service equivalent to Walt Disney World standards, he took time to explain everything a clueless customer like me needs to know. I appreciate very much, thank you.
The staff here is always more than helpful....actually... its sometimes scary how many employees come to me as I am in the store. I would advise employees to actually be less aggressive at this location, when using their approach for customers. Its nice to have assistance... but if I have 7 people approach me within my first 5 minutes in the store, it just screams COMMISSION to me. Other than that, great store guys. Love the cleanliness of this location also.
Took forever to get someone to help and answer my question. The guy that was the expert I saw early on. He saw me and immediately turned the opposite direction and walked away, typing on his phone. I recognize that Best Buy is more expensive than their competitors. If you are not paying extra for good customer service and expert information, why are you paying extra to go to Best Buy?
I really like the Best Buy at Salmon Run, the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I recently made my first online purchase to pick up at this store and I was in and out in less than 3 minutes. I was a little bit surprised when security stopped me at the door and asked my name but he immediately pulled up my best buy account on his phone and handed me my new television.
Their prices are not any better than anywhere else, their service needs serious attention, the selection is the same as any other electronics store.Beware that when you enter there are vultures standing by the door. they are going to seem friendly and ask you what you are there for. Unless you expect to be followed around and chat it up the entire time you are trying to shop, do not tell them what you want. The one that latched on to us was just a pain in the tush. I dont know if they get commission or some sort of incentive for selling a high ticket item, but you are seriously better off keeping any information like that to yourself until you decide exactly what you want. If you do need help, ask to speak to someone who knows specifically what you want. Again, the one that latched on to us acted like he knew a lot about television sets, until we started asking questions. Then we had to get another fellow to come help.I recently purchased a high-ticket item and was assured that it would be delivered and set up. I checked online when it was being sold to make sure there were no restrictions on delivery or setup and there were none. The manager who rang me up assured me as well that it would be delivered and set up. It was not a difficult setup. it was just a matter of taking it out of the box, and plugging it in. The problem is that I was home alone and it is a 65-in television. I just needed help getting it out of the box.When the delivery man showed up hes told me that they were only allowed to bring the box in the house and then they had to go. What is the purpose in telling me that delivery and set up are free when they are not? If they had told me that delivery was free but that setup was not possible I would have made other arrangements for set up. My husband could not be at home during the time that I chose, which I chose specifically because they said they would set up the television.When you spend over $2,500 on one item, and are told that you are getting an additional service, you expect to receive that service. Based on this experience, Im not sure Ill be shopping here again. I was honestly so irritated that I considered returning the television unopened. I do not understand a promise of service and then to be told that service is not available when both the manager and the website are saying there are no restrictions.Im still within the 14-day window of return and it is tempting to take it back and by the exact same television from somewhere else. There is no reason for this kind of experience to happen.
They are very friendly and will help if you need anything. Only problem and i know its rough right now but they have very limited stock but its not the reason for the 4 star the 4 stars is i ordered something online that stated was in stock purchase went threw then got a message saying they didnt have it not the worst thing but just sucked because it was going to be a gift. Other then that one thing not sure if it was a computing error or someone just forgot to mark it in the system my visit was very pleasant.
Went in not to long ago to look at Apple Watches. Once there, noticed they were on sale so decided to purchase. That sales person was pretty good and seemed to be knowledgeable on the products. He was a little too chatty for my liking but that may just be his personality. Overall, a decent experience while spending quite a bit of money.
Have cut up my best buy credit card, was interested in buying a $749 dishwasher but needed a home consultation to address where it was to be installed. On a Saturday associate called their people and scheduled appointment on Monday on Sunday we were notified the person they scheduled was not qualified so I agreed to following Saturday only to be notified again that the Saturday appointment would have to be rescheduled again and they would call. I have tried to call several times only to be on hold several minutes still no one picked up. As I said I am through with best buy and have cut up my best buy credit card.
The mobile team was so helpful here. I am very happy with the service and quick wit of the staff. They helped me transfer from Tmobile to Verizon seamlessly and they got me a decent case with accessories all in one go. I recently went back for a screen protector for my S10+ and they did their best to apply it for me and I really appreciate that.
Went in just for a printer and the service wasn’t great. I’m not sure what is up with this new method they are running but it isn’t working. Stood for twenty minutes just to tell us that the printer on display wasn’t available. Wasted time, their time management isn’t good. Communication isn’t good. Why display things if you do not have them in stock.

I never have a problem getting assistance. Always find the Staff to be friendly , knowledgably and able to resolve my concerns in purchasing a product . Never had that Buyers Remorse. This is because they will not only help with my Purchase, but are able to assist in the delivery and Technical Support. Very intelligent Staff that know their product and are happy working there. I love Best Buy and the Geek Squad, cannot be beat.
Its a good store with a lot to offer. I used to go here to browse movies though and now they have no movies in stock except for discount bins. Its a shame. Even though digital is the future of film, I still appreciate all of the films I could purchase in stores. Nothing quite like a movie browse. Helpful staff makes every experience easy and they are always good about getting what you want and need rather than making the biggest sale they can.
Made an appointment for my motorola md the guy said to come back in TWO HOURS only to tell me two seconds in, that they dont do motorola phones? Why did they let me make the appointment! I told them what kind of phone I have and they still set the appointment! Im livid about this. So much time wasted
Just bought a Dell G5 SE on Wednesday and it’s Friday I’m on break from my 24 hour shift so I decided to come back up to my room and come play a little bit on my new laptop to it not turning on so me thinking oh it might just be dead I plug the laptop in and it says a battery can’t be found and it’s detecting multiple errors, it’s alright I’ll be returning this top of the line laptop as soon as I’m done with my shift and Best Buy will never get my service again
Jon Monica is the best in the business. We had an amazing experience getting our washer and dryer from this location. They price match, deliver and set up FOR FREE (unlike Lowes and the other places we were shopping), and we got some cool gadgets for the house with the rewards we earned!
I am VERY DISSATISFIED with your service! I attempted to purchase a 49 Sony TV and blue ray player today. While trying to purchase the items online, I had difficulties and had several questions regarding shipping, delivery, and setting up through the Geek Squad. I wanted the television to be delivered to your store instead of my residence address as I wanted the Geek Squad personnel to deliver it, mount it on my wall, and set it up. I attempted calling your store via phone no less than three times, at a minimum of 30 minutes of being placed on hold per call, receiving no assistance whatsoever other than having to listen to your automated service telling me to hold!! I then attempted online chatting with Best Buy personnel who advised to place your store address in the shipping and delivery section online. However, each time that I did that, it would not accept the Watertown address. Finally, they advised that I would need to call and speak with the actual store manager which could not be done because NO ONE actually EVER answers the phone!! I wasted at least an hour an and a half of my time and you have lost at least a $1,000.00 purchase!!!! I do intend to reach out to the corporate office to advise of my dissatisfaction!
After years of coming here, my family and I have consistently been told lies and Im tired of it.The last straw was when my father had went in to get my laptop screen fixed. He had been told the total protection plan covered all computers and damage. It doesnt. For the price it would take to fix it, we decided to buy a new one. One of the employees showed my father a similar laptop to what I had. My father called to see if I wanted him to buy.I was hesitating as I didnt want him to buy a laptop I hadnt seen so the salesman told wrote down all the model information as well as how long itd be on sale. We went in the next day Best Buy was open and went to buy it. A different salesman was there to sell us the laptop only it was no longer on sale. We explained the situation and showed the note. He called over a manager, Joe, who told us he couldnt honor the price and could only price match but after a quick minute search on his phone, told us his was the best price.We bought it still because I needed a laptop but Im so sick of being lied to here, whether its intentional or not.Make sure you do your own research because you cant trust them to tell the truth.
Best Buy has great customer service, the geek squad is very good. But I will say one thing about the geek squad is some of their people have great knowledge of Computers , Printers, I Phone etc , what I have experience from them is a lack of people skills when the geek squad members some do not understand that they are not talking to a computer they are talking to a person, so for some of the geek squad members they need to be having training on peoples skills
I recommend that you do your home work before you go to that store. The sales representatives are untrained and unknowledgeable, at least the three that I encountered they were bad! The first time I went to that store I was ready to spend about $1500 on a desktop, I asked for help and the person who showed did not know how to answer most of my questions and his recommendations were off the wall! thank god I knew a little about computers so I left with out buying anything from there.The second time I went to that store I was looking to buy back up power supply for my computer (UPS) and again I asked for help, the guy didnt even know if they had it in store or not, I asked him if he worked in computers department and he said yes. So he went to ask another person and the guy looked at me and said are you looking for the UPS store? I was like no man I need help buying a back up power supply for my computer to protect it in case of the power goes off! so he pointed them out for me, I asked him if he knew anything about them I need help, He looked at me and said no I dont know anything about them and he walked away! I turned around and left the store.I went to other place on Arsenal and they had much better service and they were able to help me and guide to what I needed, I guess from now on I will just go there in stead and safe myself the trip.
Place is a joke, theyll shave down prices on already open boxed items. But you have to apply for there Best Buy Credit card, also making the purchase with the card. They will also wave a delivery fee if you apply for the card, so the managers can hit their credit card goal. To collect a good bonus so think of that when they are pushing a credit card on you. My wife and I came into the mobile department here with a slew of issues with her phone. We ended up talking to Jeff, the team leader for the department, and he was EXTRAORDINARILY helpful! The best customer service Ive ever experienced. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and was extremely knowledgeable on all subjects, and if he didnt know the answer he went as far as to contact Verizon directly on our behalf to get all the info. He made recommendations based off of OUR best interest rather than just making a sale.All I can say is if you need any kind of cell phone service with any of the major carriers, GO HERE FIRST! Its worth it. Youll thank me. Youll thank Jeff.
Inconsitent customer service or none at all. Employees that seem to not care at all, and during a very recent visit, I had one simply walk away in the middle of my questioning them about a thousand dollar phone that I had planned on buying that day, not through a plan, but for cash. Is it usual for customer spending a grand to be treated so poorly? Of course not, but since theyre not on commision, they have no motivation, though they should still do their job. I still plan on buying my S10, just not at Best Buy.
My favorite store but then again Im a tech head. Theres almost nothing you cant find at Best Buy. As a gamer the Gamers Unlocked club was the best thing about Best Buy buy that attracted real gamers but unfortunately because there wasnt a lot of people signed up for it they canceled it. Other than that Best Buy still the best place to get home, audio, and computer parts in person or online.
Great deals. Got what I wanted for what I wanted to spend. The department manager for electronics Adam was fantastic took the time to help me out and got me what I needed and saved me from a bad purchase i would have regreted will definitely go back. Need a laptop and Im going to see him.....well done.
The place is clean and the people who work there are very friendly and courteous. They ask if you need help one time and do not badger you like many other places do. The only thing that is not great is the lack of physical items for sale, such as DVDs, Blu-Rays, etc. This has existed for years, but from what I remember from before, this store and chain is a ghost town.
Horrible service and timing. I ordered a device online and spent over 1,000 dollars. I was told that my order would be ready for pickup in one hour. When I arrived at the store they told me my order was still processing and they would e-mail me to inform me that my order was ready for pickup in another one to two hours. Five hours later, and I still have not received any feedback whatsoever.
Any purchase made thru Best Buy, if purchasing for a gift, make sure the gift is given the next day in case the item needs returning. Theres a 15 day return policy and after that it CANNOT be returned. The extra warranty purchase does not include any chassis, only the electronics of the purchase. It would be a waste of money to purchase the extra warranty when a chassis of a TV breaks within the period of the warranty or extended warranty. I suggest shopping elsewhere for electronics especially with warranties and returns.
As far as local businesses go, Best Buy is the only place that sells PC components (Ram, SSDs, etc) at the moment. They also have a wide variety of PC accessories (Headsets, Keyboards, etc) from big brands like Corsair, HyperX, Razer, and Logitech. They used to keep more items in stock, but due to Covid-19 theres been a supply/demand issue as more people are home. Customer service is typically good though there are occasions where finding an employee to help is difficult.
Bought a tablet that was cracked out of the box. The manager is omnipotent because he told us its impossible for it to crack in the box and they dont take back damaged products. He said its in their policy. Luckily it was an Amazon product so Amazon shipped us a new one. Thats true customer service. Id reccomend shopping at Walmart or Amazon. Just in case something does happen they have excellent customer service and return policies. Best Buy will likely be with Circuit City soon.
The writing is on the wall--eventually this box store will not be able to compete with Amazon. Generally for large ticket items I like to inspect the product in person before paying. Most importantly I appreciate the guidance and customer support from a real human being. Perhaps it was the evening shift at the time of purchase, or maybe somebody was personally having a rough day--I get it--but somewhere along the line adaptive, personalized service should come to mind with Best Buys employees if they want to delay the fact that bankruptcy is inevitable. Face to face customer service is the only edge you hold over the online phenomenon. So dont blow it.I will always run a functions check as soon as I get home and take an item out of the box, even in this case knowing the risk of Best Buys criminal restocking fee of 15% of the sale. I only learned of the 15% restocking fee after my poor customer service experience on the floor. I asked the cashier how I was supposed to know if the product would work if I dont take it out of the box and fire it up, to which he did not have a response. Unfortunately for me, time was not on my side and I had to follow through with the purchase. The timing was my fault, not theirs, but another area where an in-person experience needs to capitalize on every moment to make folks want to come back and remember the sales reps name. Maybe the cashier could offer me a 24hr window for the return and a full refund? Or perhaps offer a functions test right there in the store with my lap top under their supervision?I got home, carefully unwrapped the necessary cords and the projector in order to simulate my presentation and connect to my computer. Everything seemed to work except the fact that I could not convince my computer to extend the display from my laptop screen to the projection on the wall enabling me to read notes for a presentation. Ive used multiple projectors and toyed around with various settings and Ive always been able to make this work. All that being said, I would agree that the product was perfectly fine and I had no issues. I simply was not satisfied with my expensive purchase and I wanted to take it back. Despite careful repackaging on my end, preserving all items in their original form, this functions test still resulted in the 15% restocking fee. Before returning the product to the store, I hoped to find some evidence of common sense with a customer review where a store manager might be able to exercise a bit of discretion on a case by case basis--no such luck.To all future customers of Best Buy: I hope you like what you find because that item will only hold 85% of its value for a return the moment you finalize the transaction and open the box. I also hope you read the fine print and return within 14 or 15 days of the sale depending on the product.I dont want to succumb to mindless interactions with vendors online, but if I owe a restocking fee for being a proactive individual who wants their purchase to work the way they want it, I guess Ill just exercise a little more patience and wait for that 1-2 business day shipping period to bring me a hassle free, peace of mind experience. If this is how Best Buy leaders want to run their business, it looks like Ill be getting to know my local Fedex or UPS delivery rep a lot better than I will a blue shirted individual. So long, Best Buy! You chose $60.00 over repeat business.
The guy in sales lied to me and said the Samsung tv I was interested in would not be tipped forward. That it was only like that because it was on a shelf that was crooked. When I got it home, it was tipped forward on a flat surface. The feet are so cheap I felt like the tv was gonna fall over. Getting an LG, since I already have one and know they are sturdy. Not buying from Best Buy ever again. I called the manager, Joe and he said there’s nothing he can do.
I bought a universal remote for the first time for my samsung... already purchased and removed from packaging, realize that it needs the original remote. Wow cant take it back without package and receipt I cannot return. EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM I NEEDED A UNIVERSAL REMOTE TO A SAMSUNG THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL. I go back and buy different universal remote. And it still does not work. I have spent about $100 on remotes. Why are the employees giving me the wrong information? Whos giving me my money back? I will not recommend Watertown, Ny Best Buy unless you want to waste your money on false information. Thanks for the help.
As we were entering the mall through best an associate by the name of Justin said have a good night and sarcastically said nice smile to my husband who. Just had surgery. What a judgemental unprofessional man. If I could give no stars I would. He had his hair multi colored.
Went to Best Buy on 11/18/2012. Looked at a computer advertised for $349.99 . We are told by the employee it was in stock. We went to purchase it and then we were told we couldnt buy it until Black Friday. It was clearly marked in the store that the price was valid 11/18-11/21-2012. It ended before Black Friday. They refused to sell it to us. When I read the paper at home it was in there for $349.99 valid from 11/18-11/21/2012. The store practices deceptive advertising.
Had a great experience! I came into the store located in the mall in Watertown, NY. And there were so many customers and not enough employees. However, the employees did non-stop customer service with an extremely professional attitude regardless of how irritated and frustrated customers became; I was one of those. I wanted a certain laptop gaming computer, the employee had beefed up the product in selling words and I really wanted it. Then to add to the frustration they didnt have it in-stock even though the tag said it was. Then he showed me a similar model so I took the different model. Went up to the counter to pay and their system kept continuing to crash, I had to give them my demographic information about 4 times... frustration began to overwhelm me. The employee then got the system to work and the scanner would not even work! He saw my face turning red from anger so he found a scanner that worked (for check out). It would not scan the product! He excused himself to get the same product so it would scan. And it worked! I apologised for my frustration and he was professional the entire time. As I finally got home (after an hour in the store waiting to just check out) I realised the box he grabbed was recently opened! I was furious as I bought a brand new gaming laptop not a used one! As I opened the box for the laptop and began looking it ovet, I realised the employee switched out the product for a better, stronger and faster gaming laptop. Same product just a different box. The product that I bought and rang up was $1,097 (which I knew it was the price). HOWEVER, The product that the employee gave me was actually $1,700! He switched out the product for a better one but put it in the same box so it would ring up what I bought! I was ABSOLUTELY ecstatic and went back to thank the employee! He, of course had no idea what I was talking about but gave me a you dont say anything I wont know grin! Thank you special employee! You know exactly how to treat a very frustrated customer! L will not shop at Best Buy ever again. I bought Call of Duty WW2, new, from the Watertown Best Buy, a few weeks ago. It kept freezing, not loading, and causing me issues. I tried returning it to Best Buy. They rudely told me I could only exchange it, despite it being purchased new from them. I got into a straight argument with the moron manager, who claimed it was federal law, yet refused to show me where. I know he wasnt being honest, since Walmart has returned a new and opened game for me, before. Ultimately, they gave me a new copy and told me to leave. He opened the new one before giving it to me, so I couldnt return it. They treated me like I stole it for wanting my money back. Terrible display of customer service, and I cannot wait until Amazon, gamestop, and competition shuts this store down.
I HATE the new best buy policy that I have to make a reservation with geek squad to drop off or pick up my computer. I work 72 hours a week. Between work, running my kids to and from practice and trying to get them dinner I have to schedule a time on my calendar to pick up my computer that my son needs to do his homework.!?Applying Six Sigma principles to my side of the customer service desk is freaking stupid. It pisses people off and makes them less likely to want to shop there. Im definatly less likely to shop at best buybagain and if I do I definatley will not purchase geek squad support again. I would rather ay $30 to someone else who will let me pick it up whenever its competed.
Horrible customer service. While discussing a return, store representative, Kendall, laughed at us in a condescending tone multiple times. Based on other reviews of this store, it seems obvious that they dont want Watertowns business. Stay away, youre better off making electronic purchases from Amazon or even Target if you live in this area.

2022-03-05Have a very great sales person (Jimmy)at the Watertown NY location.He needs an award for the best customer sales person I have ever met at a Best Buy!He was Very nice and made the sale go well. He took the time to even keep my Step Sons little sister entertained so she didnt get out of line. She love it.He upgraded my phone and I was satisfied with everything!!

2022-03-11I normally dont leave reviews, however today, 3/11/22, I made a trip to Best Buy because I had an itch for something shiny. When I arrived, the store was busier than I had seen it in quite a long time. The sales manager, Patrick, however made the wait quite bearable. He was clearly handling a very busy store, but prior to talking with me, I observed that he made sure to check in with every customer that walked in. He made sure that not only were my purchasing needs taken care of, he made time for some brief chit-chat, and handed me off to another great sales associate.The sales associate, Maria, made sure to not only find out what my needs were, but asked relevant questions, made suggestions for accessories, and did so in a friendly, professional manner.

2022-03-15They are absolutely awesome. I have two ps4 controllers and both had a drift. I bought them in Plattsburgh with a two year warranty. Went to return them and best buy in Plattsburgh closed. Had to drive 2 and a half hours to find out when I purchased both controllers I was only sold one warranty. They honored the second one after a brief conversation. Replaced both and sent me on my 2 and a half hour trip home. Absolutely awesomeness 🤘

2022-05-17I went there for a hotspot and service for it but guy who I asked for help with gave me a phone plan card not the card for the hotspot. Even the check out guy said nothing about it and I have a learning disability so I didnt know until I tried to activate it. I may not be coming back after I come in to fix this and I better fix this its yours fault not mine.

2022-04-03Completely over priced; dont shop here. Selling a galaxy book pro 360 for more than the new galaxy book 2 pro 360. I say again.... SELLING THE OLD MODEL FOR MORE THAN THE NEW MODEL. I inquired about a price match with the actual brand for the old model and they refused. So I left and took my money elsewhere... for a the new model that was cheaper.
