My son and I stayed here and it was a home away from home. Ive never felt so comfortable in a hotel. As soon as you walk in the hotel youre greeted With nothing but positivity from the front desk staff. Ashley did an amazing job and got us right to our room quickly. you would never know that she had just started working here. Shes an absolute delight and a must have for the Best Western team!
This hotel was such a great find! We only stayed one night but would have easily enjoyed staying for longer! The pool area alone makes this hotel worth it and so fun, especially if you have children! We stayed in one of the suites with the jacuzzi room! It was such a quirky and fun addition to the overall experience! The beds were comfy but the breakfast was a little lackluster! Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Dustin and Ashley were at the front desk when I checked in. They were both very friendly and welcoming as soon as I came through the door. Ashley was quick to get me off to my room and even wrote on a map to show me exactly what door to go through and how to get there. They were both so kind and thoughtful for the little bit of time that I spent at the front desk. My room was amazing as well the hot breakfast was just like being in your own kitchen.
Love this hotel. Always have a clean room, a comfy bed to sleep in, and the pool is always a hit. Good free breakfast in the morning. Conveniently located.

Positive: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Negative: This hotel was rated three stars. It is a remodeled 60-year-old Howard Johnsons that has not been renovated in probably 12 to 15 years. It was not a to my three-star expectations. Staff was friendly though.
Positive: Nice rooms, OK breakfast, staff is great. 99 Restaurant is excellent. Negative: The only thing is they don¿t clean the rooms unless you stay at least 5 days- supposedly due to COVID but we are not in the room when the room gets cleaned so Please clean the rooms at least every other day
Positive: The breakfast buffet . Everything was tasty .. clean and organized. Very pleased Negative: I truly don¿t understand why there aren¿t regular pillows on the bed. I had to combine the pillows in a pouch i got from the front desk . A bed should have full pillows for sleeping not 18 or 20 inch pillows . That was very strange
Positive: Very clean, near everything I needed, fair price, fridge and microwave, in room coffee was good, breakfast was good. Negative: It was hard to figure out the heat, and the adjoined restaurant did not deliver to the hotel.
The staff was friendly, the price was reasonable, the breakfast assortment was amazing. We had a cozy poolview and everything was so clean. The water was steaming from the tap so we had to watch that, but all in all we had a wonderful time, I would like to visit again
They have it going on! As a guy who spends nearly 100 nights a year in various Best Westerns, I can say without hesitation these folks have the operation of this hotel down to an art. Check in is beyond thorough. They explain everything and are very congenial the whole time. The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job. The shower, a big indicator of how well the pay attention, was spotless! Breakfast, even during this virus, was hot, tasty and served with enthusiasm by the several people staffing the room. Top notch location.

The room is clean and very quiet. There isnt many cars in the parking lot for a Saturday night. I could smell the use of chlorine in the pool. Towels were stocked and looking neat. The complimentary breakfast is only cereal and prepackaged Danish with coffee or hot water. The price is the same as it was before when you got waffles, eggs, and meat. There was nobody in the dining room nothing was out but the prepackaged junk. The juice machine said out of order.

Booked a suite here for my wedding. Very spacious room and large tub and bed.
Positive: Close to everything, room very well kept, good breakfast, wonderful pool (large for families and single adults, deep, warm, toys for children, spacious area surrounding), Jacuzzi in room, comfortable bed. Negative: No bathroom at pool or if there was I didnt see it, odd small pillows I kept losing all night.
We stay here for 4 days. During Covid your room will not be service to help keep the staff safe. This was not a bad experience. It was ok. We came here on our family vacation. We liked being able to go to the pool multiple times throughout the day. We liked that this hotel is situated in an area that is close to everything. The Continental Breakfast is not tasty. The arcade is of retro games not too bad. The Landry Facility is not the best. Its a bit dated and the machines do not wash your clothes well nor does the dryer dry well. The rooms keep a bit of humidity so the carpet feels a little damp. The one room we had had a faint cigarette smell and the second room smell a little stale. The bathrooms are ok. What I can say are that the staff that work here are very helpful and kind. They did keep up all of the general areas of the hotel. I guess where our two rooms were located were a part of the hotel that was a bit dated because when you go towards the front the rooms closest to the lobby are updated as well as the lobby. This is the part of the hotel they have more pictures of on their site. We didnt stay much in our rooms and explored the area as well as traveled out to VT and back. We loved the area of plattsburgh. It is definitely a hidden gem. Everyone is very nice and honest ( the people we experienced) We really loved the excellent service of Jessica ( I guess theres two lol so the Jessica that is a bit on the shorter side in height 😊) She is definitely an outstanding individual. Thank you so much! The rooms we stayed in had the typical microwave small fridge, and a coffee maker that no one has used in forever lol 😆 Overall we liked our stay and for the time we decided to go on a mini vacation this place was the only place with decent prices and in a good location. ( ps the hotel cannot help the types of guest they have but my goodness there were two groups of guests on different days that was terribly loud and constantly came in and out of their room literally from 9pm until 3am. I thought I was back at my apartment for a moment lol 😂 I would still recommend this place especially during a busy season.
Older motel/hotel. However i did see some rooms were slightly upgraded. However the staff is amazing and so helpful. Breakfast is hot and served. All staff are polite and friendly. Dining area is very nice and homey. Recommend if you need a spot and get a good deal.P.s. that guy in the photo rocks!!!
I was placed at this hotel by my company for a business trip, and I must say the hotel stay was extraordinary- staff was very professional, helpful, and kind.The hotel staff was probably the best hotel staff that I have ever encountered throughout my traveling years- Hiltons and Marriotts have literally nothing on this hotel staff, and their professionalism.(I travel a lot for work for long periods of time so that statement speaks volumes).Room was very clean; hotel areas super clean too.Pool area was very nice, sanitary, and enjoyable.Only downfall is how outdated the rooms and hall areas are- I think the rooms would look better with hardwood floors, new paint (gray, or light blue vs their 1980s teal color.), new doors (my bathroom mirror looked like it was ready to collapse off bathroom door, and wall), updated furniture- I wholeheartedly believe a face-lift would make this place even more immaculate.Also the AC unit was very loud.Other than the minor issues it was a great stay!
Bed was horrible. No support and the middle was so sunken we both constantly rolled into the middle during night. I weigh 190, my fiance maybe a buck 25. We both got little sleep and got up with hurt backs.Also be careful, tub shower is very slippery and there are no grab bars.
We recently stayed for a weekend trip. The hotel has a beautiful entrance and lobby. The male clerk who checked us in was beyond pleasant and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, they could be brighter but I’ll take clean over bright. However, upon entering the bathroom housekeeping overlooked two dirty washcloths left in the shower by previous guests. As I have housekeeping experience myself I just removed with a clean towel and let it go.Breakfast is included with your stay, downfall is you have to be served and it is one girl doing it herself. She is kind and speedy but having to wait in line and not serve yourself is a bit much now that covid restrictions have been lifted. The breakfast area is large and welcoming.The pool “room” and arcade are wonderful. Pool is clean and large. The space is kept neat; plenty of towels and seating. Super family friendly! Plus, pool is open 7am until 11pm. Awesome hours! Fitness center also available which is fantastic!Pet friendly, which is great for the area as many people look for a nice hotel with this amenity.Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel. When visiting the area, we will stay again.
Ate at 99, did not stay in room. Food seems to be going downhill. Used too be so much better.
If there is a door in your room that goes to the adjacent room, you will hear everything, and good luck to fall asleep.
Ive been revisiting for years to where Ive became a member. I love it. I love the pool. The Jacuzzi rooms are fabulous, I recommend. The employees aim to please. Great place to stay. So homey and comfortable. A must try place.
Positive: The hotel manager  was very welcoming and eager to help and anwser questions. The best customer service I have ever experienced. The breakfast was also alsome with lots of choices.
Great spot for family, clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and very helpful, and we had a great time using the inhouse pool. Our adjoining rooms were right off the pool room! Will definitely book again.
This hotel is okay. Its not amazing. But itll do. Breakfast is decent, and with covid its served to you so thats kind of a process, but the food is good. Price was reasonable, room was okay. Bathroom was a little grungy. And if youre taller than 5 foot 8 youre gonna have an issue taking a shower. Im 5 foot 6 and the shower head was about 2 inches above me. So be prepared for that. The walls are a little thin. You can hear Tvs on both walls. And the mini fridges are loud. And you can hear others. They do respect the do not disturb sign. And have plenty of towels. They only have tiny, tiny, shampoo bottles so you must ask for more daily. The restaurant attached was good. The menu is in your room. If youre on the first floor, you do have a walk out balcony so you can easily grab something from your vehicle quickly. I would stay again.

Positive: The staff was incredible!! Friendly, fun and helpful!! My room was a pet friendly room but had no Oder of pets unlike similar rooms elsewhere... the hotel was clean and inviting.
Luxurious stay in comfort and relaxation. This hotel exceeded my standards in cleanliness, with added amenities including a heated- indoor pool, satisfying in-suite jacuzzi, and full-service breakfast. A comfortable nights sleep accompanied by friendly staff and accommodating services.
The rooms were a fine size and the pool and arcade was a nice bonus. The free breakfast was great and filling, well worth it. There beds were really comfortable. The only down side was the cleaning. We didnt realize (until we heard a dog bark somewhere down the hall) that the place allowed pets and one person in our group has allergies, so she has a hard time. Under the beds dont have those wood boxes to stop anything from getting under the bed and when I looked under to make sure we got everything, I saw a lot of dust and such under there.
Our last stay here was fantastic. The room. Was beautiful, the bed was nice, and the breakfast was delicious! They must have renovated the breakfast nook because it was nice and spacious and offered plenty of selection.The previous time we stayed it wasnt that great. They overdid the bleach on the sheets and it was actually irritating our skin when we tried to sleep. This time around though the bed was perfect!This hotel will always have a special place in my heart though. I would come here as a kid with my family and wed always have a great time. It was like a tiny resort to us! I still cant call it Best Western... Itll always be HoJos to me!!
Was very disappointed in the cleanliness of this hotel, hair all over the mattress, brown stains on the towels , and cream colored stains on the couch. Management was not concerned about our complaints and still charged us for the terrible night stay. Packed up early and went to a different hotel.
Very nice hotel. The lobby was very up to date and the staff was very nice and friendly. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was great and the coffee was good too!! (a lot of hotels that I have stayed at have terrible coffee. Coffee here is very good!!) The price was a bit more than I wanted to spend but happy with our stay, We liked that there was a restaurant/bar attached and a pool with an arcade for the kids as well. Could use a few more parking options for those in the 7-9 area. Other than that it was a good choice.
I could not find an elevator where I was so when you stay please tell someone if your handicap or need any special needs because it was truly hard for me to get down. And up. Besides that comfortable clean.
Easy hotel to get to. Reception was quick and easy and desk clears very professional. Room was very comfortable and neat. Did not use the pool as was packed with kids (this was at 3pm on a Saturday). Had to leave early so did not get to do the breakfast. Did notice that they did offer and grab and go breakfast during the weekdays for those who had to leave earlier than when breakfast started. Would stay again there.

My wife and were very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and well-maintained. The hotel staff were excellent; polite, respectful, and professional. They were also quite knowledgeable about the surrounding area and helpful in making suggestions for activities and nearby amenities. The breakfast at the hotel was impressive featuring a large array of products (both hot and cold) served in a spacious, clean area. All in all, our stay there was very pleasant and we thoroughly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here two nights for a wedding. Were very pleasantly surprised by the updated decor, super-clean rooms and public areas, spacious breakfast room (perfect for our family to gather), delicious morning breakfast and clean and spacious guest room. We needed a double room with a cot for five adults and still had plenty of space left over. All five of us were able to get ready for the wedding without being on top of each other. The staff were super-friendly and the lobby was a pleasant place to relax. Didnt use the pool but it was a large area that looked popular with other hotel guests. Workout room was great. Best of all, the price was extremely reasonable for the amenities we enjoyed. With a Ninety-Nine restaurant on site, others within walking distance, and a Chick-Fil-A down the road, we wouldnt stay anywhere else in Plattsburgh, to be honest!
Great place to stay. They have a Harley bike wash station that I felt was great touch. The staff was professional in appearance and attitude. They were very helpful checking in and out. My only reason for not giving a perfect score, there was food left under the couch that I did not see until I got into bed. Overall, the room was very clean!!! It was a very quiet location too. We did not use the pool, but we did look in on it. Very clean and well maintained. Their work out room and breakfast areas were large enough, it made navigation them better without feeling tight or on top of others. I would stay here again!!! I think everyone in need of a great night stay in the area, please consider BW of Plattsburgh, NY! You will want to come back again and again.
Great stay here. Room size was large. We had two full beds, a crib and a roll out with plenty of left over space. The hotel crib was a nice wooden one, unlike the metal cribs weve been given at other hotels. Hotel was quiet. Staff were very friendly, informative and attentive. Indoor pool was great. We ate at Ground Round next door which was good. Hotel breakfast was a good hot breakfast. Everything was clean and updated. Would stay here again!
Room was amazing and we enjoyed the breakfast. The pool was closed before it was supposed to. Also, during the middle of the night we were trying to get to sleep and there were some loud noise coming from the common area of the executive suite wing. I walked out to investigate and found two people having intercourse on the sofa in the hallway of the suite area. I was absolutely disgusted and I went to the front desk. I am not sure what the policy is on this one? When I spoke to the manager this morning she was extremely apologetic about the problem and I was assured it would be taken care of immediately. However when I asked about some reimbursement I was told they couldn’t control what guests do. I’m sure they can’t but they could have done something about the noise
They disinfectant everything in the rooms. I watch the house keeping ladys. When I walk across the room while I was getting breakfast . The staff greeted and very nice booked me in. When I walked in my room it was gorgeous and bed was tucked in very good. The pool view is spectacular with arcade game. Will stay again
While its not amazing from the outside, the hotel is fully renovated in the inside. It only shows its age in its layout (trying to find your room can be a hassle).But the rooms are nice size and extremely clean. We were there late and the bartender was very friendly and welcoming. He made me the great drink in the picture.So while it may not be the Ritz Carlton, its absolutely a place to stay if youre in Plattsburgh.
This hotel has updated, classy accommodations. The new continental breakfast area and the new business and fitness center are inviting and very clean. The rooms are always clean and the staff are all exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of their hotel and the surrounding city. This is a great place for business trips, family functions, or romantic getaways. I cant say enough nice things about this hotel.
Our stay here was a very pleasant surprise. For the money it was much better than the hotel we usually book in this area. Our room was spotless and looked like recently remodeled. Additionally, it is perfectly situated to walk and get all you need once you arrive...grocery store...restaurants. After a 10 hour drive and anticipating a very early start to cross into Canada this was perfect. Will definitely stay here again.
Clean, comfortable, and friendly hotel! I also liked that their ac units had a louder fan option than most, that level of white noise was perfect for sleeping. The layout of both the parking lot and the hotel itself was pretty awkward, but the staff provided a map to help us get around.

Qe reserved our room via priceline. Upon arrival, after being checked in and charged, we were informed that access to the pool was by appointment only and that all appointments were all booked for the duration of our stay. We were able to cancel but have to wait an unknown amount of time for the money to be released back to our account. We were informed that it was not their responsibility to inform us before our reservation that the amenities would not be available to us. Also, priceline was not informed of the limitations to access the amenities.

Have been staying here for over 25 years with my kids and now grand children. The hotel is always clean, well maintained and there is never a hassle. The complementary breakfast is good and well stocked and the indoor pool is nicely heated as well the pool room itself is very comfortable and warm. The hotel is well located and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. A great place for a weekend getaway at a reasonable price and highly recommended.
Poolside balcony room, didnt need to turn the heat on in our room, it was a nice room, nice and clean hotel in general. Love that they have a restaurant on site. My only complaint would be that there was no elevator to get to the area our room was. Partially our fault, one day well remember to book handicap accessible rooms. Ive only had MS for 20+ years.
Stayed only two nights, but the staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was great. I wanted to get an early start and check out early and was the only one there at a 6 a.m. breakfast start, but they were completely ready. I liked to use the pool when I travel but more than not they are not open, too cold or some other problem, so this pool was a pleasure. Having the 99 Restaurant next door as well as the Ground Round was also a plus. Refrigerator in the room that kept drinks cold +++ Location of room (2018) close to back door and pool was very convenient. This is definitely a place you could be comfortable in for a week or more.
Negative: The air conditioning system did not regulate very well. Too noisy when on, and too much time between cooling cycles, so temperature in room would go up too high between cycles and then there would suddenly be a huge blast of very cold air.
Clean rooms. Speedy check-in and check-out. Delicious hot breakfast. In the heart of the Plattsburgh commercial zone and minutes to SUNY and downtown. Would stay here again. Pool is appointment only due to COVID so plan accordingly.

Coffee if great would be nice if it was made fresh a few times throughout the day and made available to patrons. Close to shopping and restaurants.

I am privileged with the excellency this hotel stands for. It was a very rough start but hotel staff rose to the occasion and really showed the beauty of the Best Western. I am blown away with the professionalism. It was a rough start but I believe I wont regret my stay and neither will my guests. I have changed the stars from 1 to 5. I believe in chances and I value good service. I will give credit where honest credit is due. Its not because something starts off wrong that we have to give up our hopes. I dont mind showing people the truth.I was referred to this hotel by a regular visitor. I tried to reserve a group of rooms for my wedding guests in 2021. I called for almost 2 weeks. I was constantly told the person in charge is too busy to talk to me. I even made myself available to receive calls at night in an attempt to make things easier on the person booking the groups. LOL Im not even a guest yet and this is how Im treated. I can only imagine what will happen as a guest. Now Im wishing I had taken my wedding business to another state. Youve embarrassed a returning client too. Guess you got 2 birds with one stone. It sucks Im forced to put any stars cause Im beyond disappointed. You dont deserve anything.
We arrived early at 2:00 pm and asked for early room availability. Never have we experienced the total lack of desire to help get us in the room early to dress for our event. Offered to pay and were told the rule is 4 PM with no exception.The hotel has been renovated it seems. The are not safety bars in any of the showers. Dangerous situation.Very nice work out room. Well done.
Room was nice. Super big. Love that they give you NEW toilet paper not someones old toilet paper!! Fully stocked. We loved it so much we stayed 2 nights!!
Plattsburgh is a great town and this hotel was pretty good at helping me enjoy my stay. I was in one of the pool side rooms on the second floor. It was nice being next to the pool which was large and heated. However the room was dark even with all the lights on, and the toilet would continue to flush so we would have to take the top off to fix it. The staff were all kind and informative.
This Hotel was an OUTSTANDING value!It is completely updated, has all the amenities, including a huge heated beautiful indoor pool and workout room, along with connected diner restaurant.Great Free breakfast, very clean and nice people.Also several outstanding restaurants near it - one is a 5 star for sure.Easy on and off freeway with many stores and a mall near it.I recommend to anyone! What a pleasant place for a last minute overnight stay. My husband had been in the hospital and was going to be discharged..so he thought. However he ended up staying and my 2 daughters and I were too tired to drive home. I remember seeing this hotel as it was being built ..looked it up..prices were great so we reserved a standard room for the night. The young lady at the desk was super friendly and helpful..and whoever came in for am duty continued the great vibe by allowing me to check out an hr late because of a headache. Rooms standard but clean..certainly lg enough for the 3 of us. We didnt have attire but we did see the very large and well maintained pool. Also a plus that we didnt use was a full hot breakfast ..complimentary early am..will definitely stay again.

I only stayed here for one night and used points, so I cant comment on value for price.This is an old HoJos converted into a Best Western, so the layout of the hotel is a little different than your standard Best Western. That being said, everything is very accessible (you can still get from point A to point B from anywhere in the hotel, which was great since I didnt want to walk to breakfast in the rain!) and there is plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast tasted fresh and there was a decent selection of food.Where this hotel loses a star is for the extremely thin walls. Throughout the night I could hear our neighbors talking, watching TV, and even snoring! I understand this is a structural issue that likely came with the hotel and probably would be difficult for Best Western to fix, but if you are a light sleeper and/or hate neighbor noise, this might not be a place for you. Also, the pillows were much too soft for my liking.Overall, this place was just fine for a one night stay in Plattsburgh. Its close to a variety of stores and restaurants and getting to/from the highway is a breeze. Plus, theyre pet friendly, which was exactly what I needed.
Love staying here. The staff are awesome and new renovations look great. Rooms are comfortable and clean with lots of space. Wifi works really well too. Breakfast is amazing - full buffet. Lastly, its in a great location for easy access to the freeway, as well as great shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Very nice and good location close to highway. Room was Quiet. Excellent breakfast with 99 restaurant in building and Ground Round on Property. We did not have the normal Handicapped room as it as a very busy weekend. We had the Executive suite which was spacious, huge accessible bathroom. Space was more than we needed but not really handicapped accessible due to heavy doors and lintels on the way into and through the hotel.
The customer service was exceptional and Jessica and Jess are the best front desk girls. Rooms were exceptionally clean and breakfast was delicious
The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. There are fridges and microwaves in each room. Coffee and tea are available at all times. A decent free breakfast is provided. The 99 Restaurant is within walking distance, as is the mall. I stay here about once a month, and have never had an issue. It isnt the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed at, but it is moderately inexpensive and very nice.
My husband and I stayed for memorial weekend with our standard poodle. Staff was very helpful and personable. Room was a little small but clean and convenient. It had a patio door (ground floor room) that we could go in and out of and parked in a spot directly in front of it. Super helpful when moving luggage and a dog in and out of the car.Gorgeous saltwater pool and pool area.I would definitely stay again! Great rates too!
I was here overnight for work (3rd shift) , the first night the hotel was booked up and I did not hear people outside my room. The room service is very fast and pleasant. They have a 99 restaurant and a roundabout restaurant next door that they own and can be charged to the room. The rooms are very well kept and comfy beds. The heat and ac have very far limits so you can be as hot or as cold as you want between 60 and 80 I believe. They also have a wide selection for breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The pool and game room area were a hit with my kids. The hotel and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was extremely busy when we were there and the items would run out before they would replenish them...including the juice machine. Biggest issue was our room. The hotel was booked pretty full when I made reservations and the only thing left for a family of 4 was a King bed with sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa is a twin size bed with a very flat mattress. No way could a 13 & 9 year old sleep on it together. It made sleeping arrangements a bit of a nightmare at the end of a long travel day.Just
Clean and nicely decorated property. The pool has been a highlight of this property since we started coming in the 1970s. The new breakfast room is bright, large and the service is top notch.Room housekeeping was inadequate.
Absolutely pleasant experience at this hotel .Staff was Amazing especially Tricia at front desk , she made me feel welcome as soon as i walked through the door . Friendly , knowledgeable and extremely pleasant . Bed in my poolside room was very very comfortable and was the best night sleep i had in a long while . Pool was big and was kept really really clean and was heated at a perfect temperature .Breakfast was good and sufficient for what i needed.
Stayed at this hotel while Im out of town on business. The front desk staff are awesome! Theyre very accommodating and hilarious. There is a restaurant attached and several restaurants around. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. Love the hotel and updated Phil. Would absolutely recommend them!
This is the 2nd time we ( our family) visited this Best Western in Plattsburgh. Friendly & helpful staff, clean rooms, good hot breakfast at no cost. Clean swimming pool big parking lot. Also, you may be able to park closer to your room. Located in hart of the town. Planing to come back next summer too.
Great location. Centrally located and accessible to shops and restaurants.Check in/out was a breeze and the staff was very helpful and informative. Room was small but well decorated with everything to make a stay comfortable. My only complaint was the lighten. We were on the first floor so we had to close the curtains. The room was very dark; even with all the lamps on. I kept going into the bathroom for a better view.
I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last 6 months, and found it to be very clean, the beds super comfortable, and the staff friendly and accommodating. The pool has windows onto a courtyard and tables and chairs, its a nice set up. At breakfast they have a waffle making machine that went over very well with the kids, and they make good scrambled eggs. We took the train up to Plattsburgh both trips and the hotel sent a mini bus to pick us up and drop us off at the station. They will pick you up from the bus station as well. This last trip I sent some boxes in advance and they stored them till I got there, and they were totally nice about it. The staff here is great and they will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.
Nice hotel near the Interstate. Lots of nearby places to shop, eat etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was large had a lot of outlets, fridge, microwave, tv 2 sinks . Clean, comfortable and reasonable. Mostly quiet, but they need some soundproofing between the rooms. They were under construction when we were there, redoing the conference room, but we were not bothered by that and it should be done by the spring of 2018.I would stay there again anytime Im in the area.

Very clean. Good job of converting a motor lodge to hotel style. Comfortable bed. Room on the small side, and loud heater, with a whiff of propane each time it kicks in. A decent place for a stop on the road, but definitely more functional than plus. Staff all friendly and proficient.

In this day and age, people forget how easy it is to put on a smile and treat others with respect. As I walked in the door I was greeted by one of the nicest people I have met in a while, a man named Dave, on a day when I needed a friendly face. Rooms were very clean and pleasant and service was excellent. One of the first genuinely outstanding experiences I have had while staying in a hotel.

This was our first time staying with Best Western hotels. Had an excellent experience from checking in to check out. Employees very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and quite accommodating. They seem to reflect the general managers vision and team effort. I would definitely return and may I add highly recommend anyone to stay here. Worth every penny* In the words of. Fantastic location, just off Adirondacks, mins to Lake Champlain and an hour to Montreal. Nice full size pool to swim and relax. Great breakfast options. Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasing and comfortable.
When I visited this place, it was excellent! Super nice staff, clean and very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is really enjoyable and delicious. The pool is massive and cozy. I suggest you visit! :)
We spent a week here. The handicap accessible room was very clean and had a roll in shower. It was great for us. The onsite restaurant (99) was really good. The staff were always helpful and cheery. The complimentary breakfast was the best Ive had while traveling - eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fresh waffles and lots of other selections. They had two ladies doing an awesome job of keeping everything stocked every morning.
We stayed the the Best Western Plattsburgh, it was a great stay. Everyone is required to wear a mask, the room is unoccupied for 24 between guests staying in room. They have gone above requirements, and must be losing money for it. I called another hotel, no mask mandate, and no 24 hours wait between guest. Thank you for keeping guest safety above the profit of your hotel.
This was our first time staying here. We chose this hotel based on reviews, amenities and of course, price, but really didnt know what to expect. We were not disappointed.Check in /out was easy, the room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfy, the TV and WiFi were fine, the included breakfast buffet was good, and plentiful, with a big selection of items, including restaurant style waffles, which were great with syrup or strawberries/whipped cream.The indoor pool was nice and was open until 11:00 PM.The staff was polite and friendly.There were 2 minor issues: The A/C - Heat is controlled by a wall switch, rather than on the unit itself, so we initially thought it did not work. Had to go to the desk to ask, and it was quickly remedied. No big deal.Secondly, the room rate we reserved over the phone was $10.00 less per night than the rate on the website. We were charged the website price at check in. We were initially expecting to pay the higher rate anyways, so not really a big deal, just a little surprise. There was some confusion somewhere.It is competitively priced with other area hotels of seemingly similar class, and is right off the highway. Couldt really ask for much more.We would definitely stay there again.
The property is great and so is the room. It had every option you would need. Its a fairly new establishment. The check in area was very nice and the person at the front desk was very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to stay in, be it overnight or long term.
Very nice hotel with all the commodity on site, The front office staff are very professional, we can access the restaurant without to go outside. The room are clean and the bed comfortable, I like the big fridge and the microwave in the room. This was our first time with Best western and certainly not the last. Beautiful place, rooms are imaculate and the beds are dreamy!! Well kept place.The pool is big and lots of stuff to do with kids. The breakfast is over the top!! Eggs, sausage, biscuit n gravy, waffles, and on n on!Highly recommend this place, plus the price is somewhat reasonable.
I booked for one night but then i walked into the lobby to cancel my reservation and the lady working at the desk said to call tomorrow to refund my money back. i called the next day and they told me that i was supposed to cancel after booking in two hours; after they told me to wait for the next day. They literally took my money
Stayed before at this same hotel and it was fine. This time no heat in the room, just kept getting cold air, called front desk and they couldnt fix it so we had to go into another room and all of this was close to 2 hours. Had worked all day and drove 2 hours to get there for a meeting in the morning. So lost about 2 hours of sleep and then the room we were in the heat didnt work right either and wouldnt get above 71. Had to call for blankets. Very frustrated customer and no discount was offered.
Agent that checked us in was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. The Jetted tub was fantastic. Location close to many stores and restaurants. A little bit confusing to find. But other than that, great stay.
Newly renovated and modern rooms. Most beautiful pool in plattsburgh, large and warm salt water. Breakfast is well done with large variety. All staff which we encountered were amazingly friendly and helpful. 10/10 would stay here again.

My room had a clean bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows, nice selection of channels to watch on the TV, a fridge, and as a nice surprise a hidden ottoman under the corner chair. The staff at check in was very nice and informative. I gave the room 4-stars because the a/c was a bit loud and finding that perfect setting was hit or miss. One thing did confuse me, there is a sticker on the window that says no smoking on the balcony. There is definitely a balcony, but how do you get to it?
Other than my room key not working and traveling the maze of corridors to find the front desk, the hotel is welcoming and clean.Staff were pleasant. Just a note to staff at the desk putting drivers where noisy college kids are ,makes for not getting much sleep.
Good Night Stay. The kids enjoyed the pool tremendously. The staff was very accommodating. Room was well decorated and has everything you need. Would stay again, maybe closer to the pool next time.
Very clean and comfortable. The pool and breakfast are unique qualities that make this hotel the only one we stay in when we travel to Plattsburgh. The hotel is regularly updated so it is always clean and fresh. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Saranac Suite and it was all very nice, the hotel itself is a little older, but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the front desk even called a little while after we checked in to make sure the room was to our liking! The pool is really nice and the whole place looks to be well maintained, the only downside is the age of the building itself, but other than that I am impressed. We even have a jacuzzi in our room! I really do think that this is the best thing youre going to find in the burg!

Best Western in Plattsburgh NY was one of the Best I have stayed in. The check in process was super easy, along with the express check out. The rooms were very spacious, large showers, and a large breakfast area, with a large choices of food. Good value.

Knowing that the hotel had a big group wedding coming in. They decided not to have any of the rroms ready for early check-in knowing the that party had the early shuttle pickup. Youd think with advanced knowledge the staff would have made every effort to get the rooms that are reserved, ready. Just really piss poor management.

Rooms have been recently renovated & look great! Wifi was pretty slow, though we were able to stream a show on it. Indoor pool was really nice-I dont think its heated (as advertised) though as it was quite chilly. Would be great if they added a hot tub! Breakfast was a crowded affaire with lots of grabbing. Choices included: coffee, juice, cold cereals, you-make waffles, pastries, bread, biscuits with meat gravy, bacon, powdered eggs, oatmeal and yogurt. Id love to see some real eggs, or hard boiled eggs, as well as apple juice. We had a really loud neighbor who slammed their door repeatedly until midnight & started again at 7am. I called down to the desk & they said theyd look into it-but the issue was never resolved. I love that the key cards just need to be held up to the doors lock-instead of being stuck into a slot (so much easier). The toiletries only included shampoo, conditioner and bar soap of the cheapest quality. Would be nice to see something of a little better quality and perhaps some body wash, or at least lotion. Would overall recommend this place.
Just a very solid place, affordable but with lots of amenities -- pool, fitness room, business center, extensive HOT breakfast options, Ninety-Nine restaurant attached (and other restaurants just a short walk away). Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, heating works like a charm. It is very close to an exit off of I-87, and also near the major commerce road in Plattsburgh -- but without ANY traffic noise. This is a keeper!
The staff was so friendly and pleasant right from front desk to the breakfast staff. Great location, loved having a restaurant attached. My only complaint would be the pillows, I like softer pillows!

Just finishing up major remodeling and it is sparkling! All the amenities are there; wonderful breakfast buffet with great diversity of choices. Pool area well maintained and plenty of towels .Rooms are spic and span - ready to move in and enjoy your stay. What makes it even better is the ABSOLUTELY STELLAR STAFF!!! From making the reservation directly with the front desk before each stay to arrival, during our stay and at checkout. Staff was uniformly professional, courteous and helpful. We are always able to ask questions about places of interest and the like and get helpful answers - if they dont know they help you find out what you need to know. The breakfast buffet is amazing in its variety of choices - everything from, waffles & bagels to fresh scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices and more - GREAT HOT COFFEE Selection of freshly brewed, piping hot coffee! Housekeeping staff is tip top at preparing the rooms for guests and very efficient at refreshing and restocking the room each day. If theres a problem with anything, report it and get a timely response and resolution. When we have any family or friends traveling to this area THIS IS THE PLACE WE RECOMMEND THEY STAY - all reports back have been of very pleasant experiences.(A word of caution - DO NOT use the BW Central Reservation System - it has been farmed out to a group that adds all kinds of charges. The worst was the expediting charges that we were not told was what made the cost so much higher than expected - it added approximately $70 to a 2 night stay. No discounts of any kind, even veteran, would be honored. CALL THE FRONT DESK DIRECTLY for ANY BW RESERVATIONS.)
Im honestly surprised at how clean, modern and good this place is. Im not sure if Ive been hard on best Western or this place is just a gem, but it was great. Staff was all awesome, doing everything right.
Such a nice hotel. We have been going here since we were kids with my mom it was howard Johnsons back than. We like to have pool side so at night were not stuck in our room. Family friendly. Game room is also pool side.
Had a nice stay at this hotel, the staff were friendly and nice. The outside a appearance was in a bit of disarray due to nearby construction. We were looking forward to using the pool, but it was being closed for maintain we were about to jump in. The overall interior was nice and the breakfast was ok too

This hotel stay was the worst experience of my life. And I never complain about any hotel stay. You charged us for a stain that was already there, we even told your hotel that the stains was there and asked that the mattress be changed. All they did was come into the mattress and move the mattress around. The stain was not due to us or our dog. The dog never went on our bed. I explained this over and over again and you dont believe me. You just took money out of our credit card for something that was already there. The way you run this place is awful and we wont be staying here again. I will make sure to spread the work to your Canadian travellers. Holiday inn, Quality inn, weve stayed at all of them at plattsburgh. We never had such an issue.
Very nice , friendly and helpful staff , pool and game room is nice. Breakfast is good, rooms are nice and clean . pretty quiet for being near the main road, which is nice . the hotel itself was confusing to get around, like finding the ice machine and pool as well as the breakfast area etc.

The room was recently renovated, however, the beds were extremely small. I requested a rollaway bed and was charged $10 extra. The pool was extremely crowded but everything was clean and the staff was very helpful.

When you stay at this hotel, you feel that it is more like a top rated hotel because of the service, the cleanliness of the place, the quality of the breakfast the nice inside pool. All in all, you feel that you are well treated and that the staff would help you as much as they can.
Hotel was beautiful. It was difficult to navigate however and spent a good portion of the time just trying to locate my room or car. Neighbors were extremely noisy the next morning but I didnt report a problem as nobody asked me how my stay was at check out. Overall hotel was nice but due to confusing floorplan would probably stay elsewhere.

I had a issue with the Jacuzzi tub and Tricia made me feel like my my experience was important to her. I appreciate that because I love to travel and I enjoy great customer service like I was given.Thanks to Dustin as well for offering me water when the machine was out of order as well as a complimentary soda . It was greatly appreciated.Also a big thanks to Sam for giving me suggestions on where to go eat, a taxi service and checking our room when we had a issue.Last but not least I would like to thank Denise for escalating our issue and contacting Tricia who exceeded our expectations. Wonderful service the front desk was very nice. The rooms were clean. Only problem was the heater was on one side of the room, so one side was too hot and the other was cold. The other problem would be that there was no jacuzzi, bummer.

My husband and I belong to the BWRewards; and thoroughly enjoy staying here prior to flights out of area. The staff is welcoming, pleasant and hard working. The rooms are tidy and quiet. Breakfast is wholesome and delicious. I have always enjoyed the bake your own waffle set up... such a treat! ...and it reminds me of my Grandma/Aunties in Syracuse, NY.
Nice clean room, super comfy bed and pillows, surprisingly good continental breakfast. $11 taxi to the airport (shuttle didnt begin until 7am). Will visit again if in the area!
We got in late, service desk was was very polite and only took a few minutes to get the room. Once in the room it was huge! The best hotel I have stayed in the beds were brand new and very comfortable an breakfast was great!

This is a great hotel if you are interested in a shopping trip and spending a few days with the kids around a pool. They have ping pong tables pinball and air hockey around the swimming pool. Their Fitness room is excellent. If you wish to drive to downtown Plattsburgh you will be in for a treat. Its a gorgeous town on a summer night. I think most people go to the Target and JCPenney. The Champlain Center is a good place to cross-border shop. For us the most important aspect of this hotel was the fact that it accepted dogs. Great pool great shopping downtown Plattsburgh is wonderful.
I have always enjoyed staying at a Best Western hotel . This one in Plattsburgh is no different . Clean, comfortable and spot on with COVID restrictions and policies .The 99 Restaurant connected is a great plus too .
The roomes are nice. But there was no elevator so if you have luggage it is hard to bring it up the stairs.
Dont make any complaints, theyll put you on a do not rent list. Arcade was taking everyones money made a complaint on the list. No big deal there are many more a list motels in the area
Of all the other hotels weve stayed at in Plattsburgh, the Best Western offers by far, the best value, not just in terms of the money but also for the quality of the hotel, rooms and amenities. The pool is nice and clean and they offer a full hot breakfast complete with eggs, bacon or sausages, etc... The staff were all very friendly and professional. We would definitely go back the next time were in Plattsburgh.
I loved the concept, the hotel has only two floors, rooms are big, comfortable if you have kids...its clean too. Pool its ok.Hotel is not so modern in case you want modern facilities.
Great pool. Rooms with pool view were easily accessible and perfect for our group. Pool hours until 11:00 make for a noisy evening but other than that a good stay.
Stayed here for 2 nights. This place is very clean. Has such a big pool and it is pet friendly. Pretty decent breakfast too. Would definitely recommend
Reception was very nice. She saw that I wore a t shirt depicting Nintendo images, and it prompted her to ask what my favorite game was. My response was the wi-fi password. Nice touch... Kids loved the pool. They had a ping pong table that I regrettably did not get the opportunity to play. On the downsides, the hallway played soft music that we could hear from within the room. We could also hear conversations from the next room over quite clearly, as well as the sound of a man clearly using his toilet in the other room. The walls were apparantly very thin. The hallways were a maze. At one point, I gave up trying to find my way and walked outside to find the external entrance closest to our room. The pathway from the hot breakfast was long and winding (with both hands full of plates of food; I found no trays). Despite all this, I still enjoyed my stay.
Staff are great. The breakfast ROCKS. The room had a bit of a musty smell from the AC as well the AC in the 2nd floor hallways needs abit of a overhall - big difference walking up the stairs. Overall a good place to stay.
Comfortable hotel, very nice breakfast. The bed was stained on arrival, however they quickly changed it and everything was fine after. The pool area is nice.

Professional and helpful staff throughout my entire weekend stay. Suite was clean and well equipped with everything you need! Kitchen area had coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, kuerig and a full sink. Dishes, and glasses included.Living room contained chair w ottoman, table, sofa bed, lamps and a computer desk. Lots of windows! Suite area ran on a separate A/C unit than the bedroom.Bedroom was extremely spacious. It also contained chair, king size bed, 2 night stands, flat screen T.V. Vanity/sink area/blow dryer, bathroom and large closet with extra bedding. Large window in bedroom.High speed internet ran with no problems. Breakfast was great. Definitely was not a continental breakfast! Make your own waffles and toast area. Yogurt & fruit to scrambled eggs and sausage with a biscuit! Coffee and juice as well. Spacious and a few T.V.’s in there as well.The suite was definitely worth the price when you add up the amenities of the room, full breakfast, fitness center, computer room, indoor pool and be Not able to drive right up to you suite door!Congrats to Plattsburgh University class of 2018!
Stayed at BW Plus Plattsburgh on July 8. This was our second stay there in 10 years. I dont remember how our first stay was. Our second stay was very disappointing. The room was very small, the bed was too small for two adults, the pillows were tiny, and the toilette was small and low to the ground as well. I was not able to fall asleep because the AC was way too loud and was blowing at my head, did I say t was loud?. This was very annoying. We asked to switch rooms but the front desk said that because we booked through a third party we cant. What does that mean anyways? Best Western makes itself available through third parties and you book them it means you are a second class costumer. I say to them stop it, not professional. If you dont want people to book through travel sites then dont participate with them, easy solution. I gave them two stars because of the location and the free parking. I also will never stay there again. I will even pay extra money to stay somewhere else not that BW is cheap, it is not. BW is not for us.
My home away from home! The pool area is fantastic👌🏽 Its incredibly ristik and provides the best atmosphere for relaxation. It is the perfect place where I go to unwind from the stress that is my life. The staff are genuinely friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is as comfortable amd as hassle free as possible. This hotel is right mext to the mall and I LOVE THAT! You can walk out door #3 and walk theough the parking lot and get into the mall...no car needed! This place is awesome and have been going here for 20 hears or more!
Everything about the hotel was great except the beds. They were too soft. However everything else was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, breakfast was great.
Loved everything about the hotel except when i got out of the shower i grabbed one of the clean folded towels under the sink and wiped my face with it and i had hair on my face i looked at the towel and it had human body hair on it. They gave me someone elses soiled towel. Truely disgusting.
Stayed at the hotel because the wedding party blocked off rooms for their guest. The hotel allowed every guest but my husband and I to check in early. The staff was rude and very negative towards us. Only got 2 stars because room was clean when we were finally able to check in... At 830 at night...
It was a quick stay but it was lovely. The room was up to date and had been a nice bright cost of paint on it. Breakfast was a bit crowded but expected on a Sunday morning.
Very clean and friendly hotel! Have been a few times, once with a dog. They were very accommodating with the dog.Hotel is in a good location, easy walk to restaurants and shopping.
Just checked In the front desk manager is super nice his name is davey very helpful and knowledgeable I have been comeing here for 8 years very nice person. They redid the breakfast room it’s awesome now and a lot bigger and better food nice wook out room and WiFi area . The upgrades are nice and u have the ground round next door and the 99 restaurant Attached to it microwaves And refrigerator in each room one of the better hotel I stay in.
Extremely clean rooms, beautiful indoor pool, the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast options were amazing. Would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or near the Plattsburgh area:)

Very close to many shopping areas. Clean and loved the swimming area. Staff very helpful. Breakfast crew were amazing.
We had a great stay, everyone was nice and it was very clean and kid friendly.Only thing: as first time visitors arriving in the dark we did struggle with finding the entrance.
The front desk clerk Dustin was completely amazing I am now going to be a loyal Best Western customer. Was acomadating informative and made us feel welcome. We will be looking to book a or stays at Best Western properties in the future
Terrific value for the money. Very nice hotel, obviously recently renovated and it was well done. Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable beds and large nicely furnished rooms.

Hotel was nice however I was given a room with a leaking sink. Upon arrival I didnt complain trying to be nice and on departure was told I broke the sink and would be paying for it. Still no call from management. Other than that hotel room was nice and staff was good.

I give this Hotel one star, only because there isnt a 0 star choice. Very poor people skill of staff. Wouldnt work with me on a flight being canceled and I didnt call 24 hours in advance to cancel one of my nights. Wish I had that crystal ball they must have.
Way better than microtel. Got to stay above pool and was a good time. Breakfast is good. Rooms are large. Long walks to rooms though. Clean. Friendly.
Right off the highway so easy access to everything. Breakfast here was amazing, there were lots of choices to choose from. The pool area is very nice as well.

2022-05-02I had a great stay, our room was clean which is a must. The breakfast was decent, I think if the food was better quality it wouldve been great. The coffee was burnt two of the three mornings which was a bummer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel itself is great with a nice indoor pool!

2022-01-06My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet included for my stay was wonderful, as it was the last time I stayed at a Best Western before pandemic. Masks worn except while eating, gloves when serving yourself, and distance between tables were greatly appreciated.

2022-03-27The pool is nice, but our room was not clean. I found food on the microwave, wrappers by the bed, and an indentation on the pillow where someone clearly slept from the night before. There was no blow dryer and only two towels, hand towels and washcloths in the room, with one tiny soap. We booked for a family of four. The price was reasonable but they really need a private place to change by the pool, because we froze our butts off going back to the room in wet clothes.

2022-06-18Room is a decent size. Bed is on a softer size. Good sized fridge, and microwave. Close to shops and restaurants. Overall the room is okay However the room could have been cleaned better....hair on towels and pillows. Shower wasnt properly cleaned as well.

2022-03-24Excellent three star hotel especially for those who love pools they offer poolside rooms. They offer lots of choices for breakfast and the rooms are clean. Staff are very good and attentive to your needs! I have to most hotels on Plattsburgh and I will they have one of the largest gyms of any hotel in that area and has many different machines for cardio and weights. I would come here again!

2022-06-04The front desk guy at the night shift is extremely rude. He needs to learn how to talk to the guests.Our room didnt have any complimentary water bottles. Not even any items for sale in the mini bar.The pictures online misrepresented the room.

2022-05-08The noise was crazy. From 11-3am loud had to call the desk several times. Sounded like someone was coming through the ceiling . was the worst stay ever. Didnt sleep only 2 hours on a night we were suppose to be enjoying our anniversary

2021-12-08I love the smaller 2 story properties. Jessica took great care of me at check in & throughout my 2 week stay for business. Marlo & Tina will SPOIL you with their great breakfast & friendly personalities. They have a great indoor pool area with a small arcade. Easy on/off the highway. Plenty of shopping & dining options. My room was spacious and comfy. Covid protocol was top notch.
