Best Western Plus Stadium Inn in Bronx
First parking at the back of the building was very limited ( maybe around 8 spot only) and if you arrive at night no spot available at all. Room was very clean and specious but the noise from the Highway/street was very disturbing. daily breakfast from 6-9am ( didn’t have the chance to try it). Overall good location for a short trip to NYC
This location doesn’t know it but me & my kids was homeless during October 25 2021, we came to this hotel in the middle of a storm. They not only discounted my room. But I end up leaving my personal bag behind they put it up for me. I don’t know how to thank you guys so much. The room was clean & the people was so polite. Thank you so very much. God bless you.
People need to learn how to speak to people with respect. Reserved a room for my son a month ago for his birthday. Made sure to call the hotel and make sure check in was possible without his name matching my card that was paying. Was told by an employee it was fine he would be ok. Fast forward to today I call to make sure things are good and the man working proceeded to tell me no it couldnt happen I would need to cancel my reservation. When I tried to explain that it was too late to cancel it without being charged he decided to be a tough guy over the phone and became of no help. He wouldnt listen to anything I had to say. Disrespectful and ignorant. My reservation will be canceled and my business will go elsewhere.
Room was ready before check in, staff was friendly and accommodating. Yes they only have 8-10 spots, but that’s NYC. Room was pretty clean, the housekeeping gave me sanitizing wipes upon request to clean our own space. Bathroom could have used more attention before check in, but again it’s NYC. Hotel does have a very “smoky” smell, but again, it’s NYC. Perfect nights stay for a yankees game if you don’t expect perfection.
The cleaniness was ok except the pillows and bedspread smelled a little like mildew and the bathroom needed a little more cleaning we come from a long way ,to stay in a good hotel and is not at it was described at all by staff. With this covid and all we need more cleaness in the rooms. And clean under the beds. 😒😒
I booked through expedia where at check out it explicitly stated there would be a refund if you choose to cancel your room up until the day before the trip due to COVID. I had a terrible accident and am unable to make my trip and they are now saying I selected a room that is non-refundable. Everyone I contacted was extremely rude. I tried to change my dates so they can keep their money and they tried to charge me double what I am already paying. This is really ridiculous and I will be steering everyone to better, more professional hotels.
Surprisingly clean. Staff was friendly. However I did not like the fact that they take a copy of your drivers license and refuse to return it or shred it in front of you upon check out. The desk manager Chiraq said that it was a corporate policy and I should have canceled my stay at check in if I did not want my license copied. How on earth would I know that prior to check in. Based on that alone I will never stay at Best Western again. I am a frequent traveler for my work and stay on average 12 nights a month. My biggest concern here is identity theft. This franchise just lost a customer and I will be investigating this policy with Best Western Corp., the state of NewYork and will alert my attorney in the event of any identity issues I may experience moving forward.
Parking is a nightmare, location is in not a good idea where the streets are filthy. Breakfast food was alright. The front desk as well as management could care less. The person I stayed with at the hotel left his fleece behind, was told to set something up through UPS to have it mailed. My friend got nowhere with that and they dont care. Will be staying at this place ever again
Front desk & manager are so indifference. like they’re doing you a favor to stay in the hotel . I stayed three weeks and wanted to stay for another week, manager told me they’re fully booked because of Yankee game. I checked out and Yankee game got cancelled and rooms are empty. What a business model.
This hotel is a disaster, its in a very dangerous area. Graffiti, trash, cars parked on the side walk, no internet, toilet was broke, the reception area , was dirty, nothing was stocked in the pantry, the elevator floor was covered in dirt. The breakfast bar was empty . I backed and left the hotel.
Great location for Yankee Stadium. There was major construction going on out front. The night staff was so helpful and personable. Our room was a non smoker and there is signage about not vaping, smoking cigarettes or marijuana in the room. And you sign an agreement at the desk about it. Our room absolutely reeked of cigarettes and pot. None of us smoke so, it was even more noticeable. It was noisy from the traffic, but we were at the front facing the Harlem River with the traffic. Our room was very clean outside of the odors from smoking. We stayed because of the proximity to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and we could walk the 2 miles over to clear or minds instead of driving.
For the location and the cleanliness of the hotel I find that what I paid was a bit overpriced. A lot of noice from other’s people room the three nights I stayed there. Lacking on cleanliness but at least the room was cute and comfortable. Kind of disappointing coming from Best Western
Paid over $600 for 2 nights!!!! $239 one night and $299 the other plus tax. Got a ticket of $115 for parking on the road which they said was Free.. This hotel has limited parking. If you go out during the day, just hope to get back in time to get a parking space. Its clean, yet smells like marijuana in the hallway. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is decent. Our window view was a Kohler generator and a wall. I definitely wont be coming back here.
My wife stayed at the hotel for three days while on business in the Bronx. Very happy with the room - especially since it had a microwave & fridge. She had a little trouble with the one flight of steps needed to enter the hotel - only wheel chairs get the lift - but she survived. Parking it limited to the first eight cars in the lot at the rear of the hotel - so come early if you want a space. She did get a space on her last day, and made checking out a little easier - only four steps to the parking area off the 4th floor. Complaints? Well, the breakfast was pretty weak - fake eggs were not done well, string potatoes were only warmed, not cooked.
The hotel is nice, its a Best Western. The staff were super nice especially Jaylee at the front desk who really went above & beyond to get me and my son in a room when we arrived major early. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are extremely comfortable, like new! The air units looked new and a surprising feature, the window slides open too. Which is something you dont see much these days.
This Best Western at 926 Sedgwick Ave, Bronx-The worst hotel. NO PARKING FRONT DESK IS NOT FRIENDLY, they have no respect, they tried to kick you out the DAY before checkout, if you put on your door dont disturb the cleaning lady will still knock at your door. If you work nights at your job you wont be able to sleep because of the noise and the room does not have dark-out curtains it looks like daylight. I warn you dont stay there. Rooms are bad, they stick Bad location ----------Go stay at the Comfort Inn at 2477 Third Ave Friendly, Clean, Quiet hotel-------
My family and I stayed for 7 days and the room was very clean and neat and the bed was so comfortable I slept great, my girl at the front desk Jaylee was thee best she was so nice and polite I would definitely recommend this place, the Manager was also very accommodating to my family! I would definitely be back again! Staff is very welcoming!
2 stars for 1 member of the staff who was going to accommodate us. We arrived to attend the Yankees game and there is about 6 parking spots for 60 rooms. I called and asked where to park the girl said its first come first serve.... the lot had 2 vehicles of the whole 6 spots in it that were guys fixing vending machines. I was dropped off in the back with our bags and said I cannot believe you have no parking and charge 320.00 bucks for a room. The very nice guy then said oh park in front, its only 15 minute parking, but I will let you.... Why didnt the girl who answered say that! My husband already parked 5 blocks away and was on his way back. The website is deceiving the back of this hotel is in the middle of peoples houses. We never did figure out how to get to the front of the building. For that price I will stay in the city and uber to the field.
I have been to this hotel twice and the second time I wasn’t please I make a complain about the WiFi problem the guy going to let me something else like he was the one the room I paid my money to stay and feel comfortable I am suppose to get a discount the guy going to let me know I can’t get any you worker don’t have any manners and don’t know how to deal with people
Arrived 5/25 for a one night stay, 2 rooms as there were 8 of us. Within 3 hours of checking in to the hotel, I woke to find a rash onmy inner left arm and upper chest. I sleep on my stomach with arm under the pillow. I immediately called the front desk then went downstairs once confirming there was a female present. I was not offered a different room but simply told that she would contact her General manager Anil Panwala. At check out the following morning I had not heard back from anyone and again discussed in detail with the staff member at the front desk what had transpired the previous night. In my presence she too reached out to him via text only to be told not to give his number out. At the very least, he could have comped the room for the incident seeing as to how I spent the rest of the night sitting up in the provided chair. I did not have a problem paying $271 for the night for the second room. This isn’t the first review regarding cleanliness for this property. Just 3 months after opening there is a review regarding stained bed sheets and pillow cases but his response to me indicated that the linens are changed daily ? 🤔Take a few extra minutes and read the Reviews on the various booking sites. When Mr Panwala did respond on Monday 5/27, 2 days after the incident it was only to be say that my allergic reaction was not his responsibility and that he was home dealing with a special needs daughter. As a business owner myself, both my husband and I are available 24/7 by phone when our moving crews are out on the road should something there requires immediate attention occur. I know that I did not arrive with the rash and coincidentally the rash was only present on the exposed areas of my body. Lower body is clear as is my right arm. My bank has intervened and will be disputing the charge secondary to the correspondence I have had with Mr Panwala 👎
Parking: Dont expect to park here. Many sites say free parking but there are only one normal spot and once accessible spot in front of the hotel. The other 2 are 15-minute parking. If you can manage to get away with street parking, youd have a ways to go as its next to a storage facility with towing signs everywhere. I parked at a garage and used Uber. The hotel itself is just ok. You have to get up the stairs to get to the elevator. The room overall was ok. I needed a hotel fast so the availability was good for the location so close to the highway. Ill likely choose another hotel some other time. Parking is a huge dealbreaker.
Smoke smoke smoke...room was clean and looks like pictures. However, people smoke in here and that ruins everything for me. I notified the front desk.. and all I can do is suffer because my room was paid up front by my company. I cant wait to leave. If you can stand cigarettes .. you wont mind. Location os right off freeway, room decor is clean and nice, bed is semi comfortable, linen clean, staff is pleasant.
They have builders out side of the hotel at 6 in the morning there is a smell of weed out of the whole hotel a lot of noises u can even get sleep bed sheets and pillows are dirty and the bath tub is dirty to I would not recommend it and no safety catches on the windows and the staff is very roud and they have food for breakfast from last week they are to expensive 230 a night just for a box of a room never going there again!!
My girl at the front counter with the beautiful eyelashes and friendly down to earth nature made the place 5 stars!! She was always willing to help and advise on where to go , she was funny and always put a smile on my face- which was very important as I was traveling with a teenager. She said she was born in the Bronx and worked at best western in Florida (helping her grandmother) and then came back to NYC- Best Western, u have a diamond employee- give her a raise and don’t loose her!Darell Hobbs and Jayline Fields
A great hotel for if you are on a budget and dont want to pay the absurd cost to stay in Manhattan. Subway station is about a 15 minute walk away and a 30ish minute ride to Midtown. Room and bathroom was clean and the complimentary breakfast was good but not amazing. The surrounding area is fine during the daytime but I would not walk the area during night. After we checked out, there was a car parked very close to the hotel with a smashed window and glass on the ground. Taking a taxi or uber back is very necessary. Overall a very pleasant stay, the only downside is the area at night.
This has to be the worst Hotel in the Bronx......First off when i walked into the room it smelled like a bum was living there prior. Second at all hours of the night there are people running around making loud on causing me to wake up more then once.....avoid this place at all costs, this is not the place to try and relax
Horrible experience, my wife and I booked in advance, and later found it was not well run. We checked in to find tthey had left the mast guests half-drank beverage in the fridge. The TV/ wifi would not take cromecast. All this aside I seldome leave a poor review, BUT they mixed something up inn the system where they needed my Name again? Hello, I pre-booked, and checked in with my card??? I signed the paperwork. They beat on my hotel door at nearly 12 and demanded my name!!! No appology, no call ahead. Straight up scared my wife and I to death. Dont people rent hotels so they can SLEEP??? Dreadful and inexcusable, I hope the owners read this! I have never been treated like a prisoner in a hotel before. First time for everything. I wont stay here EVER again!

2022-05-31Let me say this, I was very optimistic about staying there. Im born and raised in the Bronx so I know. However after driving up to it I was still a little nervous.Once I walked in the front desk clerk was awesome. She accommodate us in every way from price to handicap parking and elevator. The price was fair considering it was a holiday weekend. The staff was very pleasant and once again accomdating, the security guard gave up his parking space just for us to be safe. The rooms were very clean with awesome views of Manhattan. Breakfast was good too. It wasnt chef style but it was very decent for a Best Western.I highly recommend this hotel no weed smoking no short stays I had a good night safe sleep. Five stars

2022-05-31Great location as far as proximity to the stadium. Its like. 6 min walk from out of the stadium to the hotel. Room was fine, no complaints. Peaked my head in for free breakfast and the room seemed a bit crowded and I had a plane to catch. They had security at the front desk which I havent seen too often.I chose the side with the river view. The cars were definitely whizzing by as the expressway was right below. They had construction in the morning also. If you are a light sleeper both of those might keep you awake. I was too exhausted to care.Overall I was definitely satisfied. No complaints.I didnt have a car, but parking would definitely be an issue.

2022-06-22Better than what I was expecting a hotel to be like in this neighborhood. Annoying that there are 11 floors with multiple rooms on each but only 9 parking spaces in the lot. The building is narrow and tall. Room could’ve been a little cleaner. Would’ve liked some more fresh produce options for breakfast. Bed was comfortable and I felt pretty safe.

2022-05-24Less than expected. Reservation for three adults after a Yankee game. Arrived to find one room with two double beds. We figured it out to work but couldnt even get cot or extra bedding. Just left me desiring so much more.

2022-06-19One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Beds, pillows and sheets are like rocks and sand paper, the coffee machine was missing the actual compartment that holds the coffee, so we couldn’t use it, the hotel and room were pretty beat up and could use repairs in easy-to-repair places. I’ve stayed at Best Westerns before, but this was disappointing.

2022-06-24This hotel is nice. I came to NY on business and originally booked a hotel in the city across from Central Park. The hotel was dirty and outdated so scrambling due to it being late at night when I flew in I was looking for another hotel in NYC but everything was booked. I ended up finding this which was only 12mins away late at night when there wasn’t any traffic. Outside is nice, lobby is clean, security guard that covers the night (he even watches the cameras which I appreciate). This hotel isn’t in the actual neighborhood it’s right off of the freeway so no homes around to say it’s a “bad” neighborhood. My only issue is the construction. It’s loud and runs through the night. They’re working on the freeway adjacent to the hotel which sucks. It’s loud to the point where I woke up about 6 times the first night due to traffic (honking of horns and 18 wheelers) and then banging on the road while doing their construction. I recommend headphones or earplugs which solved my problem last night. The hotel should sound proof their windows and provide ear plugs to guest because it’s a major inconvenience to try to get rest next to construction banging allll night. Besides that, nice hotel. Breakfast was good, rooms are spacious, staff isn’t the politest but I heard that’s a ny thing. The worker at the desk there now 6/23 evening 8pm is the nicest out of the 3 I encountered during my stay. Besides that nice hotel only flaw is the construction which obviously isn’t their fault.

2022-05-07I had to checkout after 2 hours of check-in because of some family emergency. I requested refund (not full refund but some of them) but they did not give it back. I know the terms and conditions but sometime you have to understand people’s situation.

2022-04-11The people staff are great shaniqua and the security on the night of the 4/8/22 are amazing many blessings to them . On the other hand the hotel needs more cleanliness over all ok .
