The season lawn pass plus will let you skip to a faster line for security and get lawn chairs even at a sold out show. Be warned it can take upwards of an hour to get from your seat to the parking lot and out of the inevitable traffic jam to a main road. Pro tip: You can bring a gallon ziploc full of snacks.
Absolutely beautiful place to see a concert !Not very handicap friendly though. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill, near the stage area, which is fine if you have tickets for the seating near the stage. But not too good for general seating which is up on the hill. It would be a big improvement if Bethel Woods would start renting out electric carts for those of us who cant get around and would love to go about the area and visit all the sights. We where there for the Woodstock 50 year Reunion and saw John Fogerty, it was awesome !
Pretty sad the original site of Woodstock has turned into another run of the mill overpriced concert venues where the staff take there job so seriously there willing to scream at a pregnant girl for sitting down on the grass where she wasnt suppose to, during a set break at dead and company. 20$ for one cocktail. And we showed up early to get tickets at will call and the line was such a mess it took an hr to get our tickets and we missed the entire first set of the show.
I continue to love this place! The crowd for the WHO was the largest Ive experienced there so far and it was still awesome. The venue is clean and well staffed. Make sure to wear your walking shoes if you dont arrive extra early because you can have quite a hike from parking, thank goodness the way out is downhill 😅
Had the opportunity to visit as a chaperone for a middle school field trip. The staff was absolutely amazing and did a great job of engaging the kids. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and knowledgeable. A great museum that tells the Woodstock story. Cant wait to visit again.
An amazing experience and venue. I was there to see Bill Burr, who was beyond incredible. It was such a beautiful, serene evening, and the enormity of the history of this location literally just made the night perfect. The staff made everything as seemless as possible, even with all the security measures in place. I loved every minute of it
Maybe THE most gorgeous amphitheater in the country, with a VERY accommodating helpful and friendly professional staff. Not a bad seat in the house, even the lawn seats are plush with good sound. Not to mention the seeping with history location and the attention to detail when constructing this venue.
Really well done museum with a ton of interest information on the 60s and the Woodstock festival. Was expecting more artifacts from the musicians that performed in 1969, but they had some great stuff from the planning stages and those in the audience. We stopped and got some food at the cafe which was very good.
As a nurse it is very rare to get a Thursday and Friday off. However, last Thursday and Friday I drove 3 hours to see Thomas Rhett with my boyfriend and his friend. We arrived to the parking lot around 5:30pm (the concert started at 7:30). In the parking lot, I drank 3 bud light seltzer’s (I am over 21 years old). As I approached the entrance, a security guard stopped me and said I was was not allowed to enter. This caught me by surprise. I was confused as to why I was not allowed to enter the venue. The security guard said that ‘intoxicated’ people we not allowed to enter. I asked politely what I did to make him think I was intoxicated. He had no answer. He told my boyfriend and his friend that he could enter, but I had to sit on the bench next to all of the security guards. After waiting 20 minutes I tried to enter again with my boyfriend. He denied my entrance again. The manager then came out and said that only the guys could enter. I told him I could walk in a straight line or do anything else to prove my sobriety. After three attempts I was told that they were going to call the cops on us for trespassing. I was very upset that I was not allowed to enjoy the concert. They stated that they do not do refunds but I truly felt that a fun country night was stolen from me for no reason. Unfortunately because of this sexiest experience, I will no longer be attending concerts at Bethel Woods and neither will my friends and family.
I went to the TAP New York Craft Beer Festival at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Saturday May 21, 2022. I noticed on their website that the prices were not clear, for example, the prices are listed between $35-$155. I have been to these events many times over the years and I have never paid more than $45 per person. We ended up paying $100 per person, the highest price I have ever paid for a general admission ticket. I asked the ticket agent about the price being twice as much as before and he stated they have food this time. The food was pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, cornbread etc. not a wide variety of foods to choose from and not suitable for most diets, we did not eat there. Definitely not worth double the admission price. When we arrived at Bethel Woods we were directed by their parking attendants to a gravel lot far away from the entrance. We had a heat advisory for New York and surrounding states, the temperature was 90+ degrees. We walked a long gravel path through mostly empty paved parking lots that we were told we could not park there. It was too far to park considering the temperature and there were seniors and disabled people who had to walk this distance. Usually, we were always able to park on the paved lots closer to the entrance, which were mostly empty. The parking staff remained outside until 4p.m. to make sure everyone parked in that lot only. This was unfair to treat paying customers with such disregard and to double the price of an event during a recession and record inflation. I felt they were taking advantage of their customers. If we knew it would cost $100 per person plus we would have to park far away on a gravel lot in intense heat we would NOT have gone there.
The place is beautiful. If I was going just to spend the day checking out the attractions in the museum and such, it would be a lovely day. However, I dont like having to hike to see the show I came to see. Seriously, its like a good mile walk from the bottom of the parking area to the pavilion. Thats right, Im lazy.
This was are first, but not our last visit.Based on recommendations from friends we purchased museum tickets along with concert tickets. The Museum is a must! Plan on two hours. The staff/ volunteers were great with advice. We purchased tasty sandwiches at the cafe and walked a bit around the immaculate grounds. Signs indicated that only clear bags would be allowed in to the concert. Quick trip to the car and I found a clear plastic bag.We also discovered that you couldnt bring your own chair but rentals were available. We start following a line to learn that it was for green room. Tickets purchased and there are two large areas with bars, assorted menus, games (air hockey, pool, corn hole+) comfy open seating and easy access to restrooms. Two drinks are fine included with the purchase of a ticket. Designated driver tickets are available, for those not drinking. Jackpot!Proceeding down to the venue, there was a wide variety of food assortment and beer sales (yes at concert prices)Obtained chairs (they are short. If you are tall, ask for blue chairs) and found good seating. There were more food and goods stalls and many clean bathrooms. Based on the food passing by, it looked good. The show was great. Screens showed everything and we could see everything.AND the volume was not at that painful ear level. Everyone was having a great time and kept the grounds clean.Weve already bought tickets to another show.Perhaps, I missed the bag and chair information on their website. Somehow, I wish it had been right upfront.Absolutely, if you are in the area, GO GO GO!
This place is beautiful.-Theres absolutely no camping/sleeping in the parking lots A, B, C overnight.-Theres not many camp grounds for miles, and/or hotels & motels almost non existing in the area.-Air B&Bs are popular in the area. Its a 20 mile sigle lane road off the highway. The traffic gets jamed up, really quickly. The traffic can get hectic when leaving the show. Take traffic time into consideration when entering and leaving the beautiful venue!!!
The venue is nice but very disorganized. I went to Dead & Co last night and we were waiting for literally 2 hours in traffic outside of the venue as they struggled to park cars. This seemed totally unnecessary there was plenty of space for parking they were just disorganized. By the time we got in the show had already been going on for about 45 minutes. We stood in a very slow line to get drinks took another 30 minutes. These unnecessary delays kind of ruined the first half of the eveningThey have to do better.
A must see for music lovers. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts does not disappoint. A friendly staff and a visually captivating display of the historical event draws in visitors of all ages. The center has done a great job with modifications during the pandemic. I highly recommend the well curated immersive experience of Woodstock.
I was there last summer to celebrate my 69th birthday. It was a bucket list check off. I decided to put the icing on the cake this year and return for a concert for my 70th birthday. This year’s event is more than a dream come true as I will be attending the Carlos Santana concert!! Yes… one of the originals from Woodstock 1969!!!! What more can I ask? The museum was awesome, the grounds are beautiful, and I even got to meet some folks who are legends in the area. Counting the days!!!!!
The people they contracted tonight for the dead and company concert they are very mean and nasty people.. They were rude disrespectful yelling at people and Im surprised they didnt get smacked by older people who were getting disrespected by young kids. The place is beautiful but you need to watch you contract.
My wife and I visited the Bethel Woods Center (Woodstock Site) in late October 2020. We got some great pictures since its after peak season (in New York) and tourism is at a minimum (due to Covid-19). This allowed us to see this famous Woodstock site and museum and all its beauty in nearly un-interrupted silence. Its been on my bucket list since I was a kid and well worth the trip. A few of the staff there had actually attended the festival (back in 1969) as well. It was interesting to speak to him about his experience there. Its a really cool place to visit. Im glad we made the trip!
Another typical audience, complete with two aspiring pole dancers that continually refused to sit, even though there were 5 rows of empty seats in front of them, they stood through most of the performance by Brad Paisley denying everyone behind them the opportunity to see the show.
A must see for any generation that knew what Woodstock music festival was all about. Gen Z and younger might scratch their heads, but the museum is entertaining and educational, besides the outdoor music pavilion adding a bonus feature. Visiting the actual festival grounds is time immemorial since its dedication as a national landmark. Make a full day of it!!!
Our 1st time here. We went for a Peter Frampton concert and also toured the museum. For the concert, we decided to pay extra for the preferred parking lot, the Green Room and the buffet. Peter was awesome, the museum was great, preferred parking was definitely worth it (closer to the venue and leaving the lot was quick and easy). The Green Room included 2 drink tickets per person (full bar). It was a great place to relax on the couch before the concert. The buffet was just okay. We wouldnt spend money on the buffet next time. The property and grounds are really pretty and very well maintained. Lots of food, drinks, snacks, souvenirs to purchase if youre walking along the walkway to the concert building. The whole place is very nice. Looking forward to seeing some other concerts in the future.
So happy we stopped here to explore the Woodstock exhibit, this being its 50th anniversary year. I never went or knew about it until after the fact, but at 18 in 1969, I loved the music then and I loved hearing it all again. Excellent exhibit and we were able to walk the grounds to see where it all originated and see the monument.
Nice venue for concerts and the Museum never disappoints. Every time we visit we see something new. Make sure to visit marker down the street on Hurd Avenue to see the original Woodstock site and imagine what it was like to have 400,000 people gathered in this setting. Lower gallery features constantly changing exhibits. Only downside is there arent a lot of restaurants or good hotels in the area, but its real close to the Montecello Casino and Racetrack.
We went to TAP NY , which we have gone for years in Hunter Mt. It was wonderful, but TAP NY at Beth Woods was disappointing. The property is beautiful, but the food was horrible. Long lines not much of choice. So disappointing since hunter mt was amazing. They also took my sun screen spray (not allowed you can spray in someones eyes) didnt have any around to purchase, so I can get 3rd degree burns but everyones eyes are ok. Makes no sense to me. Bethel will have to step up their game if they want to continue hosting TAP
Great venue, beautiful place to see concerts. Plenty of vendors, with a varied food and drink selection. Parking could be organized better. The big downside is trying to leave an event. If you wait until the end of the show, plan to wait at least 1.5-2 hours before you can get back to the highway. Only 1 road in and 1 road out. If you dont mind hanging out after the show, its well worth the visit.
First time at this venue and quite enjoyable. Not an overly large venue. Very near the site of Woodstock. There is a museum nearby and place to eat. Various vendors with typical venue prices. Sat in the seated section where there are fairly good seats....not really a bad one. Sound quality was overall ok. No issues at the end exiting and went fairly well. Overall a good venue and would recommend it.
Great experience! A must place to take your kids and let them learn our history and inspire them for life. Better than any Social Study class. The minute youll arrive to Bethel the vibes are in the air and they are so good! Just take them with you and keep spreading the love & peace!!!
I got to Bethel Woods via NYC’s shortline $66 day trip which includes one (easy) transfer. The museum itself was very modern and enjoyable with mixed media options to take it all in. There were cozy nooks to watch various videos and all included an option to turn on/off captioning for guests who are hard of hearing or simply to better tune out the buzzing of other visitors. I was expecting more musician-owned memorabilia (like Planet Hollywood), but the artifacts they had from guests were interesting and I learned a lot!The center itself was beautiful and well kept, and it looks like there are at least three different event spaces to rent for weddings and meetings. The gift shop was really well appointed and reasonably priced! I read about the food online and it seemed a little over advertised for what it really was. It’s not somewhere I’d choose to have lunch but you can certainly grab a snack.I visited on a day when the adjoining field had a fall harvest festival happening. While this was serendipitous, I’d *recommend* visiting on a day with a festival in order to make a full day out of your visit. I spent maybe 2 hours slowly combing through the museum. Meanwhile, the festival had food trucks, a farmer’s market, artisan crafts, a corn maze, live music, and craft beer and it was free! It was about a 10 minute walk from the museum but within the same overall visitors complex. Having this as a part two to my experience, I really enjoyed the day. I’m not sure I would’ve found it as fulfilling if coming from Manhattan for the museum alone.
Bethel Woods is a great venue in a beautiful scenic setting. The venue offers seats or a lawn area to view a show. The design of the amphitheater ensures that stage views are great from anywhere you sit. There are food and drink vendors located at the top and bottom of the venue along with rest rooms. Its a really great place to see a show.Tip: The venue is only an hour and a half from Bergen county and has many of the same acts that play at the PNC Bank arts center. Its a beautiful venue in a great setting and often its easier to get seats at Bethel Woods.
Bethel woods could be a bit better. It lacks freedom and spirit. There are some good with bad. Their facilities are clean and well manicured. The stage is great and can protect you from some rain which is very nice. The parking is close which is nice. Now with the bad: there are tons of staff around.. which isn’t always a bad thing; however, they “recommended” we make our way to the venue to keep their schedule (they had a delayed opening) and we were enjoying some tailgating before the show. We didn’t care too much about being on time. We witnessed several people walking back to their cars to return pocket books. Their security and restrictions are a bit much. I’ve posted a picture for reference. The food at the vendors is not great and of course the beer and food are overpriced which is expected.. bethel definitely plays to an older crowd in my opinion.
We just saw the Who perform at Bethel. They were great.BUT, The sound system at Bethel however was terrible. We could barely hear them. They turned up the amp volume halfway through the show. They ran out of food before dinner....no mustard!! No vegetarian options. I had a pretzel for dinner. After the show, It took us well over an hour to get out of the parking lot. The place is totally mismanaged.Sorry Bethel. I really want to love you, but thats the last time.
I had been to the museum many times, but had never attended a concert. So, when a friend said he wanted to go see Ringo Starr during the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, I figured, what the hell?I got there really early to enjoy the pre concert festivities. I got crafty, went to the museum, and met tons of great people. We got tickets for the lawn and rented lawn chairs. We had a great view of the stage. Such a gorgeous night! People had told me it was a great venue, but I had no idea just how nice it really was!I would definitely go again!
Everything I thought I wouldnt like about this venue, ended up being things I loved. I didnt like the idea that it wasnt on the actual Woodstock field and that it had been made into an amphitheatre. After visiting for the 50th anniversary weekend I must say, I love that they preserved that site. And the venue theyve built there is magnificent. With plenty to offer. Its like being in a beautiful state park. Do yourself a favor, arrive early and explore the grounds. It gave me that feeling I had when I walked out of Redrocks. I cant wait to return to this venue.
The presentation of history of Woodstock was very well done. A little pricey for souvenirs, grounds and building are well kept. On poor incident was discovered after leaving which may not be related. Wife used credit card there and shortly after, her account was hacked and money was taken.
Great outdoor amphitheater! Being so close to the original Woodstock site gives this a historic vibe, but the fantastic layout and landscaping set this above any concert venue Ive visited. Libations selections are broad but pricey but not really out of line with most concerts. We had easy in and out of the parking area. All in all a great spot to see a concert.
Couple ways to look at this place - good and bad. Our first time here, we saw Zac Brown. The place is beautiful, and the sound system is like nothing Ive ever heard - up close/foreground no matter what angle youre at. The venue is on the historic Woodstock Festival site, and the bad news is that even after 48 years the sites traffic management has not improved. At. All. Yes, its out in the country - I get it. But so is every major citys outdoor venues. Unlike the rest of the world, this place has done nothing to build up the surrounding infrastructure. Nor have they done anything to improve traffic management. You have to guess which way gets you out. Turns out thats actually uphill in lot b, not from the way you came in. They empty the upper lots first and work their way down instead of metering the outflow. State and local cops are rude. God forbid a first-timer has a question. The show was great. The pavilion fantastic. The grounds, restrooms and concessions all first-rate. But for the hour to get in and the two to get out . . . they could be turning turds into gold nuggets for free, and it wouldnt get me to go back
Venue is amazing. I was there for a company event and their staff was very accommodating. The place was super clean. They gave us a tour around the original Woodstock site. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Everything from the concert setup to completion was seamless and easy.
Awesome place for a great concert(s)!!! We were there for the 50th anniversary weekend and we had an awesome time! Great atmosphere and great/friendly people for the most part, the music was outstanding and the fireworks at the end of the night on Saturday and Sunday were great! The Doobie Brothers and Santana on Saturday night rocked the sold out show! Grace Potter and the Tedeschi Trucks Band was good, but John Fogerty stole the rainy Sunday night show! He and his band were great, his son did a rendition of Jimi Hendrixs Star Spangled Banner almost to a tee, like Hendrix he took off his guitar at the end and lit it on fire, awesome to say the least! Not many people sat during the two hour AWESOME PERFORMANCE by John, his son Shane and the rest of the band! The atmosphere both nights were upbeat, loving and friendly towards each other, even if we didnt know each other! Peace, Love and Music just like the ORIGINAL festival 50 years ago, Wavy Gravy was even there and he looked fabulous too!
One of my favorite concert venues. This was for The Black Crows. Utterly amazing. They sounded better than ever. Bought the tickets for an anniversary present for hubby and left there as much of a fan of them as he is! Show was high energy, fantastic performance and sound spectacular!
First concert at 55 my wonder friends got us tickets took my son husband couldnt make it, went with my older sister also , I will say this much lynrd skynyrd rocked that mountain,Everyone said if this was your first concert you picked a great band for sure it was so much fun now I believe Im hook all the workers very pleasant to speak to and very helpful A big shout out to the band Great Job you really did a wonderful job not that you will see this but, thank you and God Bless you all ,you are my husbands favorite band sad he couldnt have gone cause as we all know tmrrw isnt promise , what I saw there was what Our God wants peace everyone got along so well and everyone was having a wonderful time ,
First time at Bethel Woods. We were there for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. Had an amazing time. The museum was fun and interesting. Met so many people who were there in 1969. The highlight was a concert by Santana. Great show. Excellent venue. Souvenirs and food were a little pricey but I guess that is to be expected. Will definitely return for other shows in the future.
We only came up in the evening to see the Peace Love and Pumpkins event while visiting a friend in the area. The event was very cute and fun. Could not see much of the other surroundings as it was dark, I understand they are quite beautiful tho. Will have to visit again when we get back to this side of the US and check out the grounds in the daylight and see the museum.
It was a lot of fun and even the lawn seats were really great but I would not recommend getting lawn seats if you have a hard time seeing. LOL you cannot bring in any big bags youre allowed to have your blanket for the lawn and you can rent chairs. The food was great and not too too pricey. And the venue as always is 100% on point. I do recommend going a few hours early if you like to tailgate its a lot of fun and you get to me a lot of new people.all in all its a really great experience I recommend it to anyone at any age
Saw Luke Bryan here September 2019.Very nice venue.Have to take one star away though for a couple reasons...The tickets we purchased online and printed at home, listed the things we COULD bring into the concert... nothing we specifically could NOT.But as we walked to the gate, an employee told us not only was the backpack we were told was allowed, was not, but that my purse was “too big”.So we had to walk a considerable distance back to our vehicle (which was supposedly in the “handicapped” section... which I am... but was still a long & difficult walk) and leave the backpack... (we know now if you have a “see through” plastic backpack or purse, they can be brought in and any size)Thankfully I had a smaller purse with me to switch my belongings into and walk all the way back up to the gate. When we got to the gate and through it... I was once again told my purse “did not meet the standards” and was directed to a table with 2 female employees. They proceeded to begin telling me my purse was too large as if I would walk to my vehicle to either change it or leave it there, AGAIN. Mind you, we’ve already missed the first performance because of walking back the first time.I interrupted the employee and informed her I had been told this once before, had already switched to the only other purse I had, that I am a terminal cancer patient & have meds with me I cannot be without, and that there was NO WAY I would be able to make that walk, at that time, yet again. They could tell I was getting visibly upset. So they shined a flashlight into my purse, put a tag on it & sent me on my way.My complaint is not with the employees as they were just following policy... my complaint is that nowhere on any ticket, website, sign, ANYTHING... was it mentioned that a woman could only bring a purse basically the size of a cigarette case in with them.It was an EXTREMELY distressing way to start what was supposed to be a fun (cancer-talk free) evening. It is also unfortunate you cannot bring your own chair in and are forced to pay for theirs, but I realize it’s one more way for them to make themselves revenue. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Clean and well kept. The staff was diligent, but sometimes overzealous in their “police-ing” of people standing on sections of grass and cobblestone that were “off limits”, but not clearly marked as such. But that is also understandable as part of their job, and I would much rather have them that way than not caring. There was an extreme amount of young, drunk, people. Some of which we saw needing medical attention because of their condition. The sound was fantastic. The big screens were visible from many different angles. The traffic out afterwards was a nightmare. Especially if you were headed in the direction of Bethel once you were lucky enough to get out of the parking lot.Other than all that... we really did end up having a wonderful time & would definitely go back.Just wiser now as to what to bring in & how much time to allot getting out afterwards.
I was here in 1969 and I will be back 2019 for the 50th celebrating Woodstock ✌Bethel Woods had perfect planning on how to best preserve the atmosphere of what brought us here in the first place. It was all about the music and everyone having a great time. The staffers were always friendly and polite and very helpful. Even though I live 5 hours away I got a feeling I will be back for something other than a Woodstock Anniversary.
Can we stop pretending like it’s a great venue? Sure, there was some great historical concerts there. That era is long gone. Now it’s just a bunch of musical tourists coming into this small town with insufficient road infrastructure to get people into and out of the venue in a reasonable time. No concert is worth spending 5-6 hours in traffic for a ride that should take 2-3 hours round trip at best. The venue acoustics are terrible too. You’ve got people sitting on the lawn, shushing you because they’re annoyed that they’re too cheap to buy the good seats. They can’t hear the music over the ambient conversations. They have champagne taste with beer money. I’m not impressed at all with this musical tourism trap.
Great venue for a concert. Covered Seating or grass seats, can see the stage just fine. Lots of vender food and beverage to choose from. A giant picture frame with the bands name of the night for your free memorabilia photo. And...the original site of Woodstock just on the opposite side of the hill. Very historic feeling in the moment!
Ive been here quite a few times but the Shinedown show on July 5th, 2019 topped the cake. I have been recently diagnosed with COPD and Congestive Heart Failure. I thought that my ability to go to a show would be gone since I am now on oxygen. The security staff made it as flawless as possible for me. From the moment we arrived they were waiting for us at the handicapped accessible entrance where the collected my extra tanks of O2 and gave my whole party the vip treatment. It was a great night with a great staff that made me feel like I was the only patron there. They went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful. Highly recommend this venue for a show. They were fabulous.
We had an awesome Time last night at Bethel. First I got the $20 all in lawn tickets. Which is a killer deal. My girlfriend mentioned lawn tickets at the edge can be better there than larger venues mid grade seats. It got better it rained and they filled in the empty seats by allowing in people from the lawn. On top of that I lost my phone in the lawn and as I was reporting it to lost and found a very nice security woman turned it in and was very friendly and professional. The crowd was polite, security and check in was lightning quick. I would advise reading there bag policy and hitting the local beer tents
Second time attending and I had a great time again. Parking is made easy with assistance by the staff, the pavillion is well organized and the ushers are happy to help you find your seats. Im so happy that I can visit somewhere close by to enjoy diverse entertainment. Cant wait to make another trip for another wonderful show.
My husband got tickets for my birthday and I was so very excited! We paid for preferred parking, and had to get redirected, twice because staff wasnt listening when we told them (and showed them) we were upgraded parking. Once we parked, we headed to the No Bags line and it actually took longer than the screening lines because of only one person handling the area. Again, nothing major, just a note. We got inside, found our seats and we truly enjoyed the experience but we noted that just 5 seats to our right, the people were very unhappy, they were stuck behind the cameras and couldnt see. When buying a ticket, obstructed view should be noted but it wasnt for them. Pentatonix was amazing and when they sang their finale, it was incredible to see everyone turning on their phones as flashlights. Exiting was not an issue, they direct traffic out in two directions to avoid major backups. Overall, we had an incredible time. Bethel Woods is an amazing experience whether you are sitting in the paid seats or on the lawn area.
Great venue to see live music.Sound quality is good no matter where youre sitting and there are big monitors on both sides of the stage. As with any concert venue, food and beverages are over priced, but no more so than any other.Give yourself a little extra time for parking. Theres only one lane for miles to the parking area and it can get jammed for the bigger shows. Theres a bit of a walk to the venue one you park.
Spent the weekend in the area in order to attend a Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives concert at the indoor venue Sunday night. Our approach to the museum was it would be something to do to kill some time while we were up there. Boy, were we surprised! The museum is absolutely wonderful. It doesnt just discuss Woodstock, although that is, obviously, the main thrust, but tries to give one an historical perspective on what was happening socially and culturally in the country at the time, without any apparent bias or preachiness at all. I missed the festival, as I was only 13 at the time, but the music, exhibits and videos brought back so many memories of those times. It also demonstrated what a once in a lifetime experience the Woodstock Festival was. It was open and free and unencumbered by lawyers. It has never been done again and will not, most likely ever be done again. There were a lot of people there but you could still see everything and, I guess in the spirit of Woodstock, there was no rude behavior at all while we were there. The staff is also very polite, friendly and helpful. We learn from the exhibits, that members of the community, although not necessarily happy that the festival had arrived in their very small community and that they were being invaded, realized that the kids at the festival needed food, drink, medical attention and so forth and many local residents and businesses rallied to try to help the situation out. A true celebration of human kindness, compassion and caring. That spirit appears to still exist in the area. Everyone we encountered in stores, restaurants, gas stations, employees and patrons, was friendly and welcoming. Refreshing and uplifting. The concert was held in the small indoor venue. My guess is it seats three to 400 people. The acoustics were perfect and the room is very aesthetically pleasing. If I had a complaint, and I really dont, risers might be a nice thing to put in for seating purposes. That said, we could see the stage well from our seats. Once more, the staff handling the concert were very friendly and polite. We will definitely be going back to complete the tour of the grounds, (it was rainy when we were there), to revisit the museum and, most definitely, to see another show.(If youve never seen Marty and the Superlatives youre cutting yourself short. They pour everything they have into the show. Amazing musicianship, harmonies and it certainly appeared they were having as good a time as we were.)
Fantastic place to go see a concert, this was my first time there is clean parking was great beautiful scenery wonderful evening and afternoon Under the Stars for the concert. All the staff was friendly the parking attendants were great and if you had any questions there were plenty of people that could answer them for you. If you see a concert scheduled at this location whether youre a high-end spender and when it under the amphitheater or you just want to take a blanket and sit under the stars you cant beat hanging out listening to your favorite bands at Bethel Woods Center it was awesome!
When getting to your seats the staff asks to check your tickets again. Normally wouldnt have a problem with this but they setup at the edge of the pavilion in pretty heavy rain. The ticket checkers were out of the rain but the line was in the rain so we continued to get soaked while waiting. Once in our section they checked tickets a third time so what was the point in making us wait in the rain? Should have setup tents or moved the line undercover. Not the experience I expect for the price
Fantastic ☺️🎶☀️♥️✌️🏵️🌻, Family friendly, Clean , Great times . Vendors food , I had the best time and Calzone of my life there. During events theyre packed with people I never had any problems. Absolutely wouldnt be worried. Clean, and beautiful, a lifetime of memories, history, youll love it and so will the kids. Age appropriate for concerts but wouldnt worry ample parking, Wouldnt pass up a great time out. Museum, and history, plus the beautiful area of New York... ✌️♥️😃🌻💐🏵️🎶🎤....
The museum was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The staff was friendly and some of the volunteers were actually at the festival, which was a lovely surprise. We made our way to the monument where we were thrilled to meet and have our photos taken with Nick and Bobbi Ercoline. Honestly, that was the cherry on top! Theyve probably told their story a half million times since their photo ended up on the cover of the Woodstock album, but they were happy and gracious in telling us about their experience. Just a great day and well worth the trip!
I have attended concerts from Boston to Irvine California. I have been awed by only 1 other, Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado. This hallowed spot, site of the famous Woodstock 1969, is nothing as imagined. I from Upstate New York and am aware of its beauty. I just didnt have this mental picture of such beauty at a NY state concert. The Dead and Company show is just poetic justice to be my 1st at this magical venue. I highly recommend attending a concert here, or the museum just down the road. I will be coming back for concerts or museum whatever one to see this place cemented in American history.
This is a beautiful venue. There are plenty of Beveridge tents, but could have used more food tents. Saw Jackson Browne and James Taylor. Not really a JT fan, but I do appreciate his talent and success. Really like Jackson Browne whose voice is still so strong and clear after all these years. Anyway, back to the venue. Pretty large sheltered seating under the roof, and vast grassy area outside the roof. You can rent chairs (cant bring any in), but they sell out online way ahead of time, so be aware. Wish I had a chair. Watching a concert sitting on the grass sucks. Trying to get out of the parking lot is an ordeal. No better once on the two lane country road out of here. My only complaint is the remoteness. It is way out in the middle of nowhere-a tribute to Woodstock, as this is the original site. Must have been absolutely nuts back then. I will not be going back due to remoteness. Unless I can catch a helicopter in and out!
The staff were superb, grounds so lovely especially at night with changing lights on the trees wow, museum very cool, at the monument the staff took a great keepsake shot of us, Easy in and out of concert which is a high achievement in our books. Thanks to all of you for making Santana at Woodstock 50th Anniversary a trip of a lifetime for us ! Gail and Kent
Saw a great show here this weekend. Had to put my phone in a locked pouch provided by the venue. No problem. Show ended and finding someone to open that pouch was the most unorganised cluster@#$% you could imagine. The exit routes were poorly lit, the people opening the pouches were randomly placed and not identifiable. It quickly became a very unpleasant and forced mob scene. There had to be a better way.
Havent been there in awhile. Place definitely did alot of improving. Had better signal and the food and vendor set up changed which was great. Was there last night to see Jeff Dunham and had a blast. Got out of the parking lot after the show in less then 5 minutes. Wow
I love this place, its a great venue. The one complaint I have is that the Porta johns in the parking lot are many times filthy and the set of Porta johns closest to the entrance needs some gravel inside the fence. When it rains it becomes a small lake and you cant get in without your shoes getting wet

2022-05-29Very nice concert venue with friendly and helpful staff. Even from the far reaches of the lawn it was a decent view. And you can sit in the pavilions for as long as you like, even if you don’t consume anything. I had read that the walk from parking to the entrance is long, but was pleasantly surprised this wasn‘t the case (I was in lot E). Probably depends on your speed and walking ability. Getting out at the end is - like in all open venues - somewhat of a crowded mess, but helpful staff is everywhere. Here is a tip: make sure you don‘t entirely depend on your phone gps if your car doesn‘t have one. With 1000s of people using their phones even Verizon lost connectivity due to overload. All in all my first concert there was a pleasant experience .

2022-06-02A pilgrimage to see The Who! They were fantastic!! Played with a symphonic orchestra. The grounds are just magnificent. But before you enter the show there are only port o johns but no hand sanitizer or any running water to wash or soap. It took us two hours to exit the arts center after the show as anyone going to a huge show there can probably attest, but it was our first time at this venue and did not know about the thousands of cars spilling out onto a two lane rural road!! BRING PLENTY OF GOOD SNACKS AND DRINKS, & WARM CLOTHING, BLANKET FOR THE NIGHTS IF MONTH OF May early June and plan to DEFINITELY STAY OVERNIGHT SOMEWHERE. WE stayed in a hotel in Ramsey as we live in NJ. Because YOU WILL NOT BE EXITING THIS VENUE QUICKLY! WAIT IS APPROX TWO HOURS! BABY WIPES AND HAND SANITIZER FOR THE KIDS WOULD BE USEFUL. We had a fantastic trip overall but this venue is out in the middle of nowhere in NYS. A Beautiful state. So just be prepared and you will have a good time. Everyone at the concert grounds including staff were very patient and courteous as well as most of the patrons. The Who was incredible so we are still feeling the good fun vibes from our night in Bethel Wood Center for the Arts.

2022-05-31An interesting telling of all that surrounded the infamous Woodstock music festival. The information is presented in such a way that you get a true sense of what was happening historically and musically at the time. Fun for both history and music buffs! Additionally, some of the workers had even been to the festival and shared their accounts.

2022-01-09My favorite places to see a concert. I always sit on the lawn and order my chair online. They do sell out sometimes and it saves a lot of time.Bethel is a magical place. The artists who played Woodstock made it precious land. You can feel the soul in the Earth.

2022-05-31Nice place to see a concert. Beautiful mountain views and well kept grounds. Drinks are overpriced as usual but staff are very nice. Slow getting in and out. No covid restrictions which was great.

2021-09-30The venue is super nice and clean. Love how big the bathrooms are and even though there is a line it moves fast! Which never happens at a concert! Everything is super organized and any seat under the pavilion has a good view of the stage! There is no spot that I saw, that has any kind of obstructed view! We need a good venue like this in Pa!!!Definitely can get in and out of the parking areas quickly and efficiently. We arrived late due to bad weather and still barely waited 5 mins in line to get to our parking spot. Same way getting out of the lot. No problems or major hold ups!Only down fall was heavy rain on the way to the venue.. and all the country roads made a difficult travel time! But Im sure those roads are beautiful during good weather! Definitely will be back!!!

2021-08-10Absolutely Amazing time from when my wife and I got there until we left! We went to see The Zac Brown Band last night and what a great show. The two opening acts were really good as well. Gorgeous grounds, great prices on food and drinks! I’d give them ten stars if I could. We were greeted when we came in and left. No place I’ve ever been to has done that and that made us feel right at home! Thank you and we’ll definitely be back to see more shows at Bethel Woods!

2022-05-01This is easily one of the best concert venues ever. I’ve only ever sat on the lawn to date and it’s truly a great experience at an exceptional value. I always tell people that Bethel Woods is like Disney World for adults who love music. Everything is impeccably maintained and the bathrooms are clean. If you haven’t been here please check it out, you won’t regret it.
