I LOVE this store! Definitely my go-to place for a unique gift no matter what the occasion or who the recipient is. This store is also the perfect place to find a gift for the person “who has everything”. I love that while shopping for others, I can always find something for myself too! The girls behind the counter are always welcoming and helpful!!
By far the most wonderful shopping experience. The amazing merchandise was gorgeous. I left with bags of gifts for family friends and most importantly...me! Ha the staff was overwhelmingly helpful. Friendly. Informative. I ended up staying just to shop more and chat. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing this store is. Not only will i be returning but it will be the only place I do my holiday shopping. Gifts for everyone.
The owner and owners daughter were not wearing masks. It’s almost like we’re not in a global pandemic or something. I stayed far away when making my purchase and made it clear i was uncomfortable being close to them when they were not wearing masks. Rude people and bad service. also when making my purchase I had to wait about 5 minutes because she was talking to some friends who came into the store, maybe put paying customers first. Don’t come here.
Beulah’s you are the best!! Perfect little spot in East Aurora! Every time I’m in the area I always stop in for gift for friends or family and always find a little something special for myself. The Fjall Raven packs that I got for my trip to Bali worked out perfect for carry on bags and the tiny pack I got worked out awesome instead of having to carry a purse. Thanks to the great ladies for your awesome recommendations. I also just recently purchased some bangles from Emerson & Oliver at your store and they are amazing. Such a fun shopping experience!
This is my new go-to for gifts of any kind! Cutest selection of baby gifts and even gifts for my dad! I am pretty sure I found more for myself though! My kids loved browsing the stuff Beulah had for them, too! Whether its a cute bracelet or a comfy tee, its worth the drive to East Aurora to check out Beulahs!
Cute place with lots of different stuff. I wish I could have spent some more time there. One of the things I loved about the place was that they spent time setting up a large table of fathers day gifts that werent absolute garbage. I will stop on next time i am around to see what else they may have in stock! I recommend stopping in and browsing their soaps, socks, clothes, and other nice gifts.
When we come to East Aurora we always make a stop in to Beulahs to check out the cool and beautiful merchandise. Theres everything from home decor, clothing, womens accessories, as well as hard to find men gifts. Dont get me wrong. This isnt a run of the mill general store. This is high-end cool stuff. Even my teenage boys find things they want for their rooms or for personal grooming.
I have been to Beulahs several times now for gifts for family members. Any time an out of town guest comes in, I insist on bringing them to this store. It is quaint with the most unique, personal gifts. I am stunned with negative reviews as I have personally met the owner and she is amazing and beyond helpful. I had special ordered a Scout Bag and it was out of stock. The owner called me and personally apologized, refunded my money and said when they do come in she will let me know. Well, 2 weeks later Scout sent her the bag I wanted! She called me right away and also offered me a discount due to the delay! Just awesome customer service.Of course every business will have a negative nancy on there, but dont listen to her. I am pretty sure she was having a really bad day and took it out on Beulahs.
If you have not been to Beulah’s, you need to get there! I camt say enough good things to about this gem! First off, I am always greeted by the very knowledgable associates. They are so helpful in helping me find a gift for anyone on my list, or to help me find that perfect little something for myself. They know the inventory inside and out, I think that’s very hard to come by nowadays! The gifts I give are always so unique and loved by the recipient! I love giving socks from the wall. They’re hilarious and there is literally a pair for anyone and everyone! My husband loves his Duke Cannon soap, and we keep all the men in the family stocked up on it! I can go on and on. I seriously love the variety of items they keep stocked, not to mention they keep it fresh, it’s not always the same old, same old. Just left with a new Swell bottle and two Mojito kits, couldn’t resist not getting one for myself! I highly recommend Beulah’s!
There’s nothing like giving someone a gift they actually love but it’s hard to find something for everyone…unless you’ve been to Beulah’s!! BGS is my go-to gift shop whether I’m buying for my dad, my yoga-loving friend in Tampa, my daughter’s teacher, or my favorite client. They have gifts that are funny, sentimental, cozy, edgy or just about anything else you could want. There’s a lot to choose from but their team is super helpful so tell them who you’re shopping for and they’ll steer you in the right direction (like toward the hilarious sock wall!). I love that they carry products made by local vendors or by companies who give back to their communities. That matters and makes me feel good about spending my hard-earned money there. BGS is open every day so if you haven’t been yet, get to Beulah’s!
Beulah’s is one of my favorite places to shop in WNY...the owner and staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful people on the planet. On top of that - the selection of unique products is really amazing - Beulah’s is my go-to place for most of the gifts I purchase for friends and family. If you haven’t stopped by yet, you’re missing out!
Looks super cute from outside, but when I walked in my friends and I were not greeted or even acknowledged. Asked an employee (turned out to be the owner) a question and she was quite rude. Nasty little thing with poor taste and horrible customer service. If youre looking to just window shop, check it out. Otherwise Id check out another quaint store, as there are a few in East Aurora and the surrounding areas.
My 8 month old received a cozy winter hat from here as a gift. I was given the information that the store had a BABY size in addition to an ADULT size. The hat received is too small (even though it is intended for a baby) and my son is only 8 months old. Since I am not within the 14 days of purchase date, this store is not willing to allow me to exchange. I would need to spend another $25 plus tax for adult size in addition to the $22 plus tax my friend paid upon her initial purchase. I dont know too many people who would invest $50 plus for ONE baby snow hat. I love to support local but how do you buy clothing as gifts with no understanding that sizing may not be on par with receiver? Christmas, Birthday, Special Occasion shopping starts way before gift giving, the 14 day exchange policy is not realistic for gift giving!
My husband and I stumbled upon Beulah’s General Store during their opening weekend. We were so taken by the decor, the selection of products and the very friendly and helpful staff. Even though she was super busy, the owner (Heather) took time with us as I explained my job as a sales rep for jewelry and some gift items. A few weeks later, I met with Heather and learned about the history of the store...the name Beulah, and how this young woman started her business. We’ve been collaborating on various items for the store, and I appreciate her keen eye. She’s not interested in carrying products you can find ‘everywhere’. Some of the lines I carry just didn’t ‘work’ for the store, and that’s ok.I promise you will find unique, well priced goodies for yourself or others. My job entails visiting many retailers in NYS. I would go broke if I purchased from all of them 😊. But, I always find a little something at Beulah’s - something I haven’t seen anywhere else!
Cute store, although some of the goods put on display were incorrectly canned, which would have been a health risk (#botulism). Kind of random stuff on display. I guess it would be good if you want a gift for a funky family member whos into artisanal candles or intricate, small sculptures.
A beautiful store with the most amazing items you will ever find. The owner Heather really has done a wonderful job finding the lastest & greatest selection for you to chose from. Items that make you laugh out loud to beautiful Jewerly & stylish clothing.I wish I lived closer to shop weekly!
This is THE PERFECT PLACE to find any gift, for anyone. They have such a unique selection. Their customer service is top notch & the staff is friendly & knowledgeable. It is one of my favorite places to stop while in EA & I’m always pleasantly surprised at the new & creative inventory they have in stock. 5 stars & more!
I just wanted to take a minute and brag about Beulahs General Store. BGS literally has something for everyone... women, men, children, for the home, for the office, aunt, uncle, grandma... the list goes on... Their gifts are so unique and special. I love that BGS focuses on local vendors and companies that give back. Thats important to me. The owner and her employees are outstanding, friendly and accommodating. They are so helpful and willing to assist you in any way possible to make sure that you have the best experience possible at BGS. On top of all of that, being open 7 days a week is a real bonus for everyone working, in from out of town and day or evening shoppers alike! My top store to go to for everything!
Beulah’s is AWESOME! I love so many things about this mompreneur owned business. It’s beautifully decorated, well stocked with unique gift ideas, high quality brands AND something for every price point. You can feel the attention to detail they made when choosing brands to retail... saving the elephants, eco friendly, family friendly, local... I definitely feel lucky to have Beulah’s in WNY!
I bought one of the self watering flower kits (a colored mason jar with zinnia flower seeds) as a mother’s day gift. Upon opening we realized a vital piece was missing. As soon as I had the chance (which is difficult considering their non accomodating business hours), I returned to Beulah’s with my receipt, explained that the item I had purchased was missing a piece and asked if I could please exchange it for another. To my amazement I was told that they could NOT swap it out for me and I would have to contact the distributor directly in order to receive a replacement. What?? There was a display with about 20+ directly in front of my face mind you.I was also told that I was not the first customer to return with this same problem and they told the other customers the same thing. What the ...?? We tried to contact the store owner but despite leaving numerous messages she never returned our call. The store should have taken back the item that I bought at retail price and taken the loss themselves, if necessary. I’ve never heard of such absurd “customer service” in my life. And this is NOT the first bad experience I’ve had with this place. Take note - if the buffalo bills make the playoffs, do not make a trip to Beulah’s because they will be closed.Buyers beware - if you purchase a damaged item from this store you’re SOL. I support local business but there are others to support. I will never return to Beulah’s. Ever. Overpriced and overrated. Two thumbs way down.EDIT 5/29/18:An elaborate (dramatic) message that included the line “if you’re not in the arena getting your *** kicked, I’m not interested in your feedback” was posted to the Beulah’s Facebook page after I left this review. Well Beulah’s, you have no idea what arena I’m in but I’m certainly not stepping anywhere near yours again. Here’s a piece of advice - if a customer calls multiple times and you know there’s an issue, call them back. That’s how you could have prevented this review. And here’s some more wisdom for you, since I can see through the Facebook post that you’re into that kind of stuff, “if we allow failure to define us - it will surely destroy us.”
Bought 1 shirt in wrong size, called to exchange it within 5 minutes of buying it since I live in East Aurora.I was told on the phone Im sorry that was clearance and you would need a receipt and even then they refused to credit me since it was clearance! At the store they should state this policy. My experience with other retailers if and when this happens has always been to honor the customer if it is within reason.5 minutes and NO EXCHANGE, OR EVEN A.CREDIT FROM.THE STORE!THIS IS MOT A REPUTABLE BUSINESS!I WILL MOT BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN AND CUSTOMER BEWARE!THIS STORE IS IN IT FOR THE SHORT TERM QUICK SALE!LONGEVITY IS NOT POSSIBLE IF YOU CAN NOT EVEN DO A SIMPLE EXCHANGE!BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES KILL BUSINESS!

2022-01-19It is a quiet Wednesday evening and I stopped at Beulahs to purchase a gift. I specifically decided to shop here to support local in my hometown as opposed to going to the mall. I was extremely frustrated as I was in the store for at least 20 minutes and not one of the two employees approached me to offer help. There was only one other shopper in the store so there was no issue with crowds. The two employees (both unmasked!) were in the back behind the counter having a great conversation between the two of them! I was prepared to spend at least $100 on the item(s) I came to the store to buy.It would have been very nice had one of them approached me to offer help especially since the price board was rather vague and the various items were not all individually priced. This is not the first time I have been disappointed in this shop. It is hard to support local when you are ignored or not even seen. Im not sure I will return or even recommend this shop. Too bad..... EA deserves better!

2022-01-07I was in there over the holidays and the store was so friendly! I had my 2 and 6 yr old with me and a big stroller and the staff was nothing but kind and patient with the kids. They had really cute items and unique gifts. My oldest loved the sock wall collection. Thanks for bringing excitement back to EA!

2022-02-02What a Cool Store ! AND its Constitutionally adherent and RESPECTS customers Constitutional and Human rights by not medically discriminating its customers who dont wear masks. The young lady working went out of her way to help and was polite and courteous. If you are looking for a unique humorous gift check out this place...especially the socks on the wall :)

2022-07-03They have lots of funny assorted items and other cool knick-knacks. Very much like Parkleigh in Rochester.

2021-12-02The products are overpriced and mass produced items you could find cheaper elsewhere. Customer service is really hit or miss: either super friendly or really cold and rude. Im definitely not shopping there again with their super aggressive and rude anti-mask, constitutional business signs on their door. Its so nice to know they care about the health and safety of their community during COVID

2020-03-10Nice little store with a decent variety. Didnt know what to expect from the outside but its a cute store inside. Definetly more of an expensive store as most things we picked up and lughed at thw price or just went yeah umm nope not for us. That said there was a decent gag sock collection and was able to pick up a silly pair of socks to give to my father in law for his birthday. This is a nice stop if walking through town. There is also a geocache outside under the angel wings.

2021-08-04Rude and overpriced. Mind you I’ve been in this store literally dozens of times since it opened, this is not a once time experience. Never, not even once, been greeted as I shopped. The cashiers, no matter who, say nothing at all. Quite the ego when you’re selling overpriced and overproduced goods that you could find online for way cheaper.I’ve given this store way too many chances because I was looking forward to having this kind of cute little gift shop in EA, but after the last time I was there and spent 20+ minutes in the store looking for a gift AND checked out, and whoever was behind the counter (not the owner) didn’t say ONE single word to me. I get better customer service at Walmart for that treatment.Skip the snotty attitude here and shop local elsewhere.

2020-12-09This store is absolutely beautiful. The theme is warm and welcoming with the scent of candles or incense. Especially in December. The items they sell vary in style from very cute and quirky or fun and whacky. Both would make for excellent gifts. It had an ambitious and wide enough selection that definitely seemed like a viable option compared to online stores which is a rare commodity for most stores these days. The one noticable flaw with the store are its prices. The products, although good are a bit too expensive. Especially since it is rather close to other stores which may have an even bigger selection with lower prices. But if that were changed, it would definitely be five star material. And it would give this store the attention it deserves.
