Definitely a treasure of New York. The Bialystoker Synagogue was founded in 1865 and has been at the same location since 1907. Designated landmark, NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission. Photos of this beautiful orthodox synagogue can be seen in the Manhattan chapter of the book, Ten Times Chai: 180 Orthodox Synagogues of New York City.

Nice, warm synagogue. This one is among the most active in the area.On Sundays, there are local tours that pass through this historic site. The synagogue was once a stop on the legendary Underground Railroad. At the time it was a Protestant church. Now, a vibrant community center, the Bialystoker offers 4-5 services each weekday morning, and the full service on Shabbat. For the curious, Bialystoker is Orthodox, and the rabbi, Rabbi Zvi Romm is a YU graduate.
