An organization that I am a part of had rented a bus for an annual wine tour we host every year. This is one of two events that we look forward to every year. The night before the tour (today - less than 24 hours away) our bus was canceled due to electrical issues. I get that, I want us all to be safe. But the customer service was completely awful!! No offer to help us find a bus, offer us an alternative or anything! A group of 35 of us are now out of a lot of money from our deposits from the wineries and this company doesnt care! Thanks for screwing over and taking advantage of a group of college students!!! Will never do business with every again!
I’ve organized 5+ wine tours over the past few years and always use Big D’s!! They are always on time, bus is clean, and drivers are fun! We just had a bachelorette wine tour today and we were beyond lucky to have Millie who was extremely sweet!! We love her and hope we get to do another tour with her again!
We had a gentleman drive the shuttle for us at Watkins Glen State Park. We really enjoyed his sense of humor and jokes along the way! Thank you for making a simple shuttle ride such a joy!
We used them for our wedding this past weekend and they were great. The limo arrived early and got us to every location on time and with time to spare.The limo was clean and ran great. The driver had everything planned out and in the GPS so we did not have give him directions where to go like I have had to do in the past with other limo services.Joe was our driver and he was great.We would use them again.
I hired two party buses for my wedding, and they made everything very easy and seamless.
We utilized Big Ds Limo for our wedding this past weekend. Our drivers name was Joe and he was a great gentleman. Very kind, and got us where we needed to be at the exact time we needed. Our reservation included the Trolley, which was AWESOME. There is not a party bus I have seen like it, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Thank you again for taking the giant burden of transportation to the ceremony off our chest!
We booked two limos for our wedding day in Skaneateles. The process of booking the limos and discussing the schedules for the day of with a coordinator were all relatively easy. The day of itself however was disappointing.The limo for the wedding party asked repeatedly what the next stop was throughout the day, and would not stop calling my (the brides) cell on the day of. The other limo driver didnt know the bride and grooms name which was obviously confusing to guests trying to get on the correct shuttle from a hotel with multiple weddings. After the wedding there was confusion about which limo was where, when they were both parked one behind the other. Lastly, as the wedding party boarded our limo bus and asked to turn on some music we were told I dont know how, do you know how?.For the amount of money these places charge I would have preferred experienced drivers who were more prepared for our wedding day.
Overall very good experience. Our group went on a wine tour of Seneca lake on one of their buses and had a great time. The driver was very friendly and personable and made sure that we were comfortable through out the trip. The bus we took was really nice with cool lights and a killer stereo system we could hook our phones up to. I was a little concerned when I read some other reviews, but everything actually went really well. Im getting married next summer and will definitely use this company again.
Extremely satisfied.... Planning a wedding is daunting but the transportation piece was easy.. They worked out all details to perfection. I was called the week before to confirm and was given the drivers names and cell phone numbers. That proved to be invaluable. Minor changes that occurred were not disastrous as the drivers were more than accommodating. Our guests felt so comfortable with the drivers as well. The commute to the venue turned out to be part of the memorable experience!
Ive used Big Ds Limos three times now over the course of the last 4 years for various trips to the Finger Lakes wineries with large groups of friends. The drivers have always been professional, prompt, and courteous, and the price is always reasonable. This past weekend, I had a group of 15 people and Kirk was our driver. He showed up a few minutes early, was very accommodating when I realized I forgot something at the house after we were a few miles down the road, and even added in an extra winery for us when we realized we were ahead of schedule. Everyone thought he was excellent and had a great time! Thanks, Big Ds!! You have customers for life.
Really unfortunate that I have to write this because I’ve used them twice before but this is a joke. Big Ds called us at 1pm the day before our wine tour for 34 people and told us the bus was having problems. We were upset and they offered to look for other limos. After no phone calls we decided to call again at 4pm to inform them that we found the only bus available and the person on the phone said that he doesn’t want to pay for it and he’ll process the refund with out giving any other alternative. This company is unreliable and well leave you hanging in the dust, that’s what they did to the 34 of us. I wouldn’t trust this company with important events, imagine if this was a wedding.
All we needed them to do was pick up and drop off the wedding party, which was in a hotel 10 minutes from the venue. My groomsmen and I went first, and even though the driver showed up in a T shirt and ripped jeans, didnt open the door for us, and couldnt figure out how to turn on the A/C, at least we made it to the venue. No big deal.The bridesmaids were a different story. When the limo returned to the hotel, it died and wouldnt start again. As a result, guests from my wedding had to leave the venue to pick up the bridal party, and my wedding started two hours late. We, quite simply, did not get the serviced we paid for.The kicker was that when I called to explain what happened, they only offered to give me 10% of what I had paid back! It was 5-10 minute back-n-forth trying to explain this issue with only a it was an unforeseen mechanical issue as the employees response with nothing else I can do. He also wouldnt give us his supervisors contact information when we asked to discuss this with his boss.At minimum, insist on speaking with the manager/supervisor when you have an issue/bad experience. After speaking with Mark, he did make a refund of more than 10% once we got to share our side of the story with him. Unfortunately, the dialogue between me and their employee originally, was combative and unsympathetic to how our wedding day was impacted by (what it turned out to be) a drivers error.
Thank you so much to James and Big Ds Limos... not only did my daughter and her friends arrive safely and enjoy their trip immensely... upon return, when one of them left her cell phone on the bus, James and his crew searched without luck for days... until they found it! They sent it back and saved us from having to buy a new one, all with a smile!!! Their attention to detail for the trip and after was amazing. Their customer service - UNBEATABLE!!! If you want your party to enjoy themselves in comfort, arrive safely and be treated with respect and courteousness... look no further! THANK YOU to all of you! We will definitely be renting again!
We rented a 28-30 passenger party bus for our Prom from Big Ds limo for 6 hours. Our driver Jeff was professional, courteous and caring. He rolled out a red carpet each time the kids got off and on the bus, he showed up with a tie that matched our school colors and gave every parent his card in case they wanted to call him. He was prompt and attentive to the kids. The kids had a wonderful time- they said they had more fun on the bus then they did at their actual Prom!
Debbie, the owner is wonderful. My daughter has used the shuttles to Syracuse and Rochester. I feel that my daughter is in good hands.
Brides family booked a trolley and groom s family party coach limo for a wedding last weekend with a negative outcome. The trolley picking up the groomsmen broke down on Rt 54 going from Geneva to Keuka College in Penn Yan . The groom and attendants stood on the side of the road when we came upon them driving to the wedding. The driver could not reach the company or any other limo drivers to help out. We were able to fit the groom and best man and one other in our car and make arrangements for other guests to pick up the rest. The rented party bus was sent back to geneva to pick up bride and attendants and other guests departed bus to make room for them. We had to contact them to request a credit for the multiple inconvenience. They are aware of the problem that we had but have not rectified it yet. It is very difficult to reach office staff. Communication overall with this company has been very poor. It has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Not rated the best from our experience. Wedding started late. Guests that took the ride had to wait for wedding party on hot bus while they took wedding pictures following wedding. The bride and grooms family would like to hear from the owner and receive credit for services not received.
Ladies wine tour..first winery one of our ladies fell and was injured. She insisted on getting back in the Limo and we continue our tour around Keuka Lake. Our driver Jeff was awesome! He took great care of her while the rest of us went on our tastings. Our tour ended at the ER with 12 ladies and Jeff! I hear that it was the top story of the evening there! We cant thank you enough Jeff and Big Ds Limo!!! We hope to do this again next year, minus the ER! All 12 of us recommend Big Ds and Jeff!
DO NOT BOOK! They appear friendly and courteous but that is not our experience! We had a horrible experience and then they would not rectify it. A group of 12 people 35years old - 62 years old going on a wine tour as a farewell party to dear friends of ours turned out horrible! The limo bus was upgraded because they did not have the size we needed. Then they told us they would not reimburse us more be cause we received an upgrade we did not WANT OR ASK FOR. I would prefer a working bus with out extreme heat! I thought this was a good thing - not! The heat and air conditioning was horrible! It was SO hot it was unbearable and the driver could not fix the temperature after we asked her about 5 times nicely. It took one of our men in our group to fix the problem. After an hour of terrible sweating during that time the driver got lost 2 times wasting an hour of our time WE PAID FOR AND DID NOT GET REIMBURSED. We were behind schedule and likely going to miss a winery. Well- one would not have been so bad but it gets worse. We were trying to be kind and understanding to the driver- everyone has issues right? We went to board the limo bus after our second winery and were locked out!!! Well over an hour we were locked out it was freezing so we had to go back in the winery that we had already toured. Still not able to get in to our limo we ended up getting an appetizer at a restaurant that had a weeding party coming in so we had to RUSH through that and our group could not even sit together. Finally we were able to get in our bus but after the hour of being lost and OVER an hour of being locked out - we could not finish our wineries. This was VERY disappointing. Our group was not happy at all but still very respectful and even still tipped the driver although tip was supposed to be included. I knew BIG Ds would rectify the situation as no company wants 12 unhappy customers to tell another 12 people who may tell 12 more people about a horrible experience.. WRONG!!!! They only would reimburse us for one hour. Even after sending several emails asking to please rectify this situation. One hour? We were locked out in the cold well OVER AN HOUR - spent money on food we did not plan on spending- rushed through our appetizer - not even able to sit as a group trying to get out of the cold- but knowing a wedding party was coming in 30 mins- were were over heated the first hour of the trip to the point that most of us were visibly sweating - the driver got lost 2 times and a member of our party had to read her directions and we got reimbursed one hour! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Spend the extra few dollars to get a great memory with another company. I can not get this moment back. My friends moved to Raleigh and out great day visiting local wineries was NOT worth the money! I have never left a negative review. I understand mistakes happen...how a company handles the mistake says much more about their reputation than a mistake itself...seriously. I would have spent much more money for a great day...now I spent hundreds of dollars on a bad memory and have a very poor opinion of ADAM the president of the company.
This company is from Auburn & they decided to run a living social deal for a wine tour out in the Rochester area and take people on a tour around Canandaigua lake. This was all well and good until I got on board when the driver told me he was only making 3 stops, and the manager told me it could be up to 8. After that the driver and the manager both knew all the people on board had lunch reservations at the wine and culinary center but didnt tell any of the passengers, so we were late to lunch which was the last stop at almost 3PM. Isnt lunch around 12 noon?? When one of the passengers called to speak to the owner or manager she yelled back at her and hung up on her and another passenger who tried to call. The driver wasnt from the area and pulled off the road twice because he was lost. If you go on board make sure you get an itinerary first because the communication was lacking from the manager.
Requested a limo from James and was quoted a great price. I asked to put a deposit down and a number to call, since they don’t provide any business info via email, and did not receive a reply. Which was weird to me since we had been emailing back and forth regularly(every 20 mins or so) I emailed again asking to put a deposit down and a number to contact the gentleman who quoted me and was told the limo had been booked. That was very disappointing but was not the problem for the review. The problem was they would not provide me a different limo for the same price quoted due to lack of response on their end. Very disappointed and would never recommend.
I was on one of you busses and had a driver named Derick. Let me tell you about Derick so on our way to the game we got lost multiple times he proceeded to flip off an old lady. He also tried to back up all the down a street and brought us down many dead ends but it’s fine. On our way home Derick almost went in front of a train and the he tried to almost go through the rail keeping us between the train. In the end we got home safely but we were also 25 minutes late. Words of advice to Derick maybe pick a new profession and be nice to old lady’s you wouldn’t do that to your grandma would you ? We love you the most sister Derick FULL SEND!!! He also has some difficulty going up hills but ya know the little train could so Derick can too.
If I could give less than 1 star I would! Canceling on us the NIGHT BEFORE. Thanks for the refund for the bus but did you take into account the refunds I didn’t get from the events we COULDNT SHOW UP TOO!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!
They make you sign a contract and give them your payment info, and then they decide to not reserve your bus, and never tell you about it! Zero work ethics or interest in caring for their customers. Very disappointing.

2022-06-15My new husband and I are probably the most patient people you will meet. Big Ds Limo service was the worst part of our wedding day. The driver Louis was rude and demanding toward the bride and groom. And despite us confirming the schedule probably 4 times, the driver completed 2 of our 3 afternoon shuttles (running late of course) and then proceeds to sit in the parking lot and start going to sleep rather than go pick up the last shuttle who ended up missing our ceremony. He also made the bride go out outside when guests were arriving just so he could demand more money rather than just figure it out with one of the many people there to help. Horrible service. Also the radio/bluetooth would not work and he was not helpful at all in getting it to work. Will not be booking again and would not recommend.

2021-09-20We used Big Ds Limo Bus service for a shuttle to and from the venue on September 4th for our daughters wedding. We could not be happier with the service they provided. From the planning period with Debbie, to the actual day of, everything was perect. Our driver Joe was friendly, professional and extremely flexible. I can not say enough about how happy we were with Big Ds!

I couldn’t have done it without all of the recommendations, suggestions and patience from Debbie and her husband, John. The process was certainly not an easy one during COVID, but their kindness and understanding made the planning stages ten times easier. I am so incredibly thankful.Also, our bus driver, Dennis, deserves recognition too! He made our experience both laid back and fun! Because of the weather and fluid planning throughout, Dennis was flexible and we appreciated his go-with-the-flow attitude about everything. 2019-11-11I recently planned a wine tour with some friends and can only say the best things about Big Ds. There were 10 of us, James & Amanda helped us plan and get everything coordinated, and Bill our driver was so professional and patient. It felt like working with people who had done this before and knew how to make sure it went smoothly. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again in the future.

2016-11-29Ive used Big Ds before for wine tours, but this time used them for my wedding. They were great! We had 2 buses, one was the wedding trolley, which is so cool! It has been completely redone inside with hardwood floor and is so unique looking. The second was a limo bus providing transportation for our guests. A few days before we went over the itinerary of different pick up times and locations. The day before the actual drivers checked in with me just to be sure everything was accurate. The day came and Big Ds was right on time. Our driver was very nice and professional. Our route was taking us the back way to Skaneateles but when we requested to go through the town she had no problem changing course. From the photos and listening to our friends on the other bus we know they had a good time! The buses all can link up to your music and Big Ds is always about a good time from my experience with them. Everyone had a great time, arrived to and from safely and on time, so I couldnt ask for more!

2019-09-28Due to electrical issues, my group’s bus for our wine tour was unfortunately cancelled less than 24 hours prior to our event. This is understandable due to issues regarding safety, however our frustration comes due to the lack of alternative options that were presented. The representative from Big D’s initially had told my friends that they would try to help to find and cover with another company. After my friends had called a number of companies and found one that had a large enough bus available for the day, they informed the contact at Big D’s. They told us that they would be unable to assist us in booking this alternative company and said they would just refund our money. The full amount we paid for Big D’s bus was refunded, however we had already prepaid the cost for our tastings at the wineries and were unable to get this money refunded due to it being less than 24 hours prior to our tastings. Therefore, at this point over 30 graduate students are OUT MONEY for an event that we were unable to participate in. We are incredibly dissatisfied with the customer service we received and will not recommend Big D’s in the future.

2019-09-27Had a wine tour with 34 other graduate students for tomorrow morning. Received word late this afternoon that our bus had been cancelled. As grad students we are on limited budgets, this is an annual event for us and we all had to take off work and plan around exam schedules. We are being refunded for the bus, but we lost our deposits at the wineries we were scheduled to go to. While I understand that problems can arise, we received minimal support from the company. So disappointed that this happened, we will not be booking this company or recommending in the future.

2019-03-18Very professional!! This past weekend was my daughters 21st birthday party & decided to celebrate on St. Patricks. I contacted Big Ds for a quote in November & received an immediate response. I spoke and booked my party with them & they stayed in contact right up to the party day. With phones calls and emails leading up to the day of. Also our driver Peter contacted myself 24hours prior to make sure all my plans were still as planned. Not only is the limo early but was very friendly to all my guests! Limo was perfect for 30 people & a bathroom!!! Peter was at every door when we got dropped off and same spot a pick up times ( st patricks bar crawl). 3 of our guests needed to be taken back to a different location & he was right on point with all my guests. From the customer, this is the type of service that we look for! Keep up the great work! Peter & the team at Big Ds...thank you from a EXTREMELY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!! Will book again!!! Thank you

2019-09-28I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. they cancelled our bus less than 24 hours before our annual wine tour. We lost money from winery reservations and had to cancel our event. As college students we have limited availability and resources and won’t be able to reschedule. We look forward to this event for months. While I understand that things happen, we would have appreciated some support in finding a replacement on such short notice or at least a refund of all the money we lost for our reservations at the wineries. The customer service to this event was absolutely awful.
