There was a a slight mishap, that I was fully to blame for, but Big Hunan offered to help...I fully appreciate it! Their food is delicious and their customer service is top notch, thank you!
Food was fine but we waited far too long. My friend called after about an hour and was told our food was just sitting there waiting to be delivered, another 25 minutes went by with no one showing up, so she called again to complain and was not given a single apology. The girl on the phone kept repeating “okay” like she couldn’t be bothered. Absolutely will not be ordering there again
It wasnt as good as I expected someone told me to try it and I did. Some of the food was not fresh... Maybe it was a bad day; I dont know. I just know that my usual place was better.

Unlike their local counterparts, the general tsos chicken didnt taste like it was tossed in ketchup and corn syrup. Fresh rice, quality ingredients, and about $10 less to feed 3. Will definitely be back!
Have been eating here for some time and I always have good experiences here. I always pick up my food since it is right around the corner, food is always hot and good to eat. Im not sure how delivery is, but everytime I pick up my food it is always hot and delicious. Try them out!
If you live in cortland and are absolutely craving Asian food the best bet is big hunan, but still if there is any other cuisine you could go for take that option because Cortland Asian cuisine in general between ALL Chinese food joints is not that great. But still big hunan is the best of options in cortland.
Their food used to be delicious. The quality is not the same. I heard they are under new ownership and assume that’s why. Don’t waste your money like I did.
Absolutely terrible delivery speed waited two hours for my food only to receive it missing multiple items! In addition the food tasted unpleasant and had to throw it away. Id recommend to not eat here.
Since China moon closed we have been looking for a new place to order Chinese from. Last night we ordered from here online. It took about an hour to get to us and we found that we didnt really care for the food compared to our old favorite and some of the other places we have tried. In addition 3 out of the 4 of us had some minor indignation going into today.

Ordered food online and they still got it wrong. Rice tastes bad, and the people are mad rude. ordered it with lunch special and charged me normally and only got 3/4 orders. Will not order there again.
Ordered with their website and I made a typo, which they called me about a couple minutes after I placed the order. They asked for my correct address which I gave them and they said it would be about a half hour. Two hours later and 2 more phone calls and my order had yet to get to my house. The first time I called back after an hour and a half, they had to look for my order as it had been misplaced. They then told me it would be just a couple minutes and that it would be the first out the door. An hour later after 2.5 hours total I called and just cancelled. I did not get any explanation only a were sorry.
Food took 2 hours to get. And was not hot at all. AND they messed up our order. Called twice and the lady on the phone was extremely rude. Will never order from here again.
Decent its Chinese in Central NY all basically the same food didnt take to long though

Happy Family, House wanton soup, and white rice are all good. People seem to complain about the delivery, we always just pick up. It is ready when they say it will be.
2.5 hours later, order was wrong 1st time, they remade it, and still did it wrong. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB idea to order from them! Then the delivery driver acts like your bothering him that he had to redeliver the mistake he made.

Careful using credit card ordering ,,i got my food ,looked at the receipt all my credit card numbers were on the receipt EVEN my ccv ,they tried to run a pen through the numbers but if you look close enough you can see them ,,again beware

2019-11-26Im a bus driver in town for a tournament. My group was a banquet for dinner, they invited me but I couldnt leave the bus near enough to attend so I was on my own for dinner.I come from downstate and Chinese food is a very popular in my area and family (Im Italian and only Italian food is bigger than Chinese with us). So I gave this place a shot. There is a huge difference between downstate and upstate when it comes to foods, especially Chinese and Pizza, so I honestly was expecting much.I order a Garlic Chicken Combo and Fried Dumplings. OK first the Dumplings: They did not taste at all like the FD Im used to, however, that does not mean they were bad. In fact I found them to be quite good and enjoyed the difference. Next the chicken: OUTSTANDING! Very tasty and a very generous portion. And the egg rolls were very good as well. And for what would easily cost over $20 downstate I paid $16 and some change.Also as noted by some other reviewers, some of the staff was said to be rude, but I found the 2 ladies working to be very friendly. Food was ready in under 20 minutes and was piping hot and fresh.While Im not a regular to the Cortland area I would come back here if I visited again and would recommend this place to others.

2018-11-11Placed an order at 5:15...called at 6:20 to see where the heck our food was. We were told it was just sitting there and that they were waiting for the delivery driver to come back, that it should be about 20 more minutes. I work in food service, so here’s a tip: DO NOT TELL A CUSTOMER THAT THEIR FOOD IS JUST SITTING THERE. So rude. 25 minutes go by, still no food, so we call them again. Are told by the same girl that “she’s watching the delivery driver leave. Didn’t get our food until 7. Not worth it at all, food was not hot. Will not be ordering from here again. Wish I could give negative stars.

2020-10-08Ive ordered food from Big Hunan since it was Hunan Wok and was downtown in Cortland ! In the last 5 more or less years the quality and consistency of the food has taken a dramatic nosedive, Ive almost always ordered the same 3 - 5 dishes, they not only havent tasted anywhere near like they used to, theyve been down right awful.VERY DISAPPOINTINTING, VERY SAD, MAYBE ITS TIME TO WRAP IT UP!!!!🥺🥺🥺🤢🤢🤢

2019-10-25The food has always been good (we only get one thing though) its got tables but no one seems to use them which is a shame. Its kinda cool to look in the back one see them making the food too. As long as you order ahead there shouldnt be too much of a wait.Its nice, worth a try.

2017-03-11Delicious food served quickly! Definitely the best bang for your buck! Our party ordered several dishes and they were all correct and piping hot. I absolutely recommend the pork Mai fun and the dumplings. A great hole in the wall!

2020-02-29So usually this experience is easy and great. NOT IN THIS CASE. After placing an order over the phone and repeating the phone number 6 times, we thought they got it. Nope. Instead we waited for an hour, just to be told they thought it was a prank because they “didn’t receive” the correct number. We then asked if we were still going to receive our order, to then be told “I don’t know.” Time for China City baby.

2021-11-12A mistake was made on the sauce for my meal. I called them and they made the order correct. This is by far my favorite place to eat
