Best pizza around! Id give 5 stars but They are very busy and their customer service suffers for it. I called in one time for a pizza to pick up in 45 min I was told they were taking no more orders they were closing in 1/2 hour, 2 hours later I drive by they are still open, cars in parking lot, people inside eating. Another time I called in to place a lunch order for my office, before I ordered I asked how far out they deliver. She told me 10 miles was the limit. I then gave her order and place to deliver, she told me it was to far out, I told her it was less then 10 miles. She stated she made a mistake, she meant to say no further than 10 min away. I havent tried to order since, which is to bad because their pizza is that good!
First the customer service is the best even when they are so busy everyone is always polite. The pizza is the best in the area real NYC pizza food is great !!!! You must try the fish fry!!!! 10 out of 10
Best pizza in the Greater Utica area IMO. Big Jay even made me a pizza when they were having their employee Christmas party and gave it to me for free on a Monday! Classy move, best pizza around by far! Its my go-to for pizza, wings and subs.

I gave them my order 3 times and they still messed it up just 3 items should not be so hard so order the spgete and meet balls . And see what u get I did not know that spgete an meet balls dont come together when u order them together?

Out here camping and fishing at lock 20 so I stopped in for some lunch and ooowwwweeeee yall have to check them out.The calzone was a little raw and soggy but them fried mushrooms and them wings with the big jay sauce was 🔥🔥...... Mmmmm delish.
I love this place! Everything I have ever ordered, and most of it is delivery, is amazing. I fed my husband and two teenage sons dinner off of one order of the lasagna- it is that big! with garlic bread to boot. I couldn’t eat dinner because I ate a regular sized turkey sub during lunch and was too full to eat dinner.
Great atmosphere! Excellent food! And the sports jerseys in display frames hanging on the walls are a nice touch. It was nice to hear the friendly chatter coming from behind the counter.

Asked for extra meat every time. Might as well ask for vegetarian. A 15 dollar sandwich should probably have something on it. Dont pay for extra meat, and dont tip, youll get the same pathetic sub as I get for 15.77.
Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. Everyday I go I am not disappointed. All the pizza is great but my favorite item on the menu is the cheese steaks sub with bacon.
They have great food. The pizza slices are like NYC pizza slices. There wings are hreat and i love there fries. There workers have a wonderful attitude and they did a great job with the orders. This was my first time going to Big Jays and it was well worth the 1 hour drive i drove to get there. I will be coming back with my kids
What an experience!!! Johns Pizzeria definitely has the goods. Jason Jaegers is spot on, he serves it and tells you, This will be the best youve ever had! From the Antipasto to the Utica Greens full of flavor to the Philly tunnel to the meat and juicy wings.......Wow. I couldve spent so much more, but didnt have room. We definitely brought stuff home too. If you havent already, make that short drive to Johns. You can thank me later, but youll absolutely thank them on your way out!

Ordered pizza and wings for my sons Birthday party. The whole process went completely smooth. Employee who took order was very pleasant polite and knowledgeable. Order arrived on time and was Hot and Delicious! Absolutely no complaints!!!

The pizza from here is ALWAYS good and the staff and owner are always friendly! Their customer service is pretty stellar too and thats hard to find from a lot of businesses these days! We order from there at least a few times a month and its always amazing!
Was a bit upset that we had to drive out of our way to get there but it was so worth it, oh my God the Pizza was amazing, service was amazing had a great time 6 pies few dozen wings with Family and friends, next time were in the area were definitely stopping by.

Ate here for the first time. The food was amazing, service was excellent the entire restaurant and outdoor patio was very clean and the owner is very personable. He had is laughing and we had him laughing he even took time to sit and chat with us for a while. Cant wait til Im in the area again to eat there. Just wanted to say to the owner thank you as you dont see or hear of too many restaurants around that are like this anymore where you have good food and a good time.
Pizza was good, but if your local I would recommend picking up your own pizza, ordered pizza once and it took an hour to get to us. Not sure if it was just a busy night.

The food is always fresh and customer service is top notch! Love their riggies! And you can have the sauce anyway you like. Im not a fan of peppers and onions and they accommodate that!
I ordered pizza and wings from here for the first time three weeks ago and I have ordered every week since. I crave your barbecue and medium wings every day....they’re so good I can eat 50 of them in like five minutes.... my mouth is watering right now, I tried putting some hot sauce on bread and pretending but it wasn’t the same. they need to deliver 24 hours because people are up later now

I work nearby at the moment and the price is pretty fantastic compared to a pizza shop where Im from. Slices are pretty good sized and quality of food is good.
I wish this review could be about the quality of the food but instead is about the poor service and rudeness my wife and I received while attempting to eat here. We didnt even got a chance to order food because the employee behind the counter was a douche bag. We are new to the neighborhood and order out 3-4 times a week but thats ok we will just have to go across the street at 4 Seasons where they actually took care of us. If you want to have your Pizza with a side order of teenage douchebaggery go ahead im staying away!

Just as good if not better then Brooklyn pizza. My wife is from Brooklyn and said Big Jays is like eating pizza from her old neighborhood.
Was very fresh, and delivery was prompt. And the garlic pizza was really delicious.
Stood there at counter fifteen minutes no one around all outside smoking. Then the girl are counter was a space cadet. Very UN professional attitude. There are enough pizzerias around. I wont ever go back.

I havent found a thin crust pizza like Johns in some time, loved the crust, would have gave a 5 star but there was NO sauce, dry as hell, toppings (mushroom,pepers, onions) were loaded but were was the sauce, I would pay the $20 plus if there was sauce, sorry

2021-12-18First time I’ve been here the food was amazing the staff was wonderful. But the reason of this review is the mother of my two kids passed away a week ago. My brother told them what happened and they reached out and said come for dinner for absolutely nothing 0 dollars just a good tip. I’ve never met these people before we had pizza, two dozen wings, garlic knots, desert and drinks all because the owners are wonderful heart filled people. I can’t thank you enough for the smiles you brought to my kids and mine face. When we walked out all the workers stopped and waited to say have a good night and merry Christmas thank you so much we will be back.

2022-04-08Every time I have been to Big Jays the employees are all smiling and friendly! The entire place including the kitchen and prep areas are spotless! Even the hoods/vents over the cooking areas are spotless! Everything is always stocked and the employees are always cleaning. This place and the owner are obviously fun to work at/with because the atmosphere is very pleasant!As for the food? I have tried numerous specialty pizzas, regular topping pizzas and the wings. All have been exactly as ordered and DELICIOUS! Food has been extremely consistent. If Im being honest, there are other pizza shops in the area that I have been a loyal customer of for years, but after all the positive experiences I have had here and the quality of the food I have received, Ive been finding it difficult to go anywhere else!!!Ill update my review in the future after trying other menu items, but for now, keep up the great work guys! Ill be having Big Jays for dinner tonight!!!

2022-05-30You cannot beat upstate pizza! Whatever you guys are doing keep doing it! Upside pizza was crispy on the bottom and is covered in that classic sweet marinara sauce. I visit the area a few times a year and I’m so happy I have a new favorite pizza place. Pizza in Maine sucks. Consider opening a second place there? 🙃

2022-03-19I was in the Utica area briefly today for work and came across Big Jays Pizzeria. Im a big time pizza lover, and my co-worker whos originally from down state is quite the pizza connoisseur himself. We stopped in for some quick slices and were thoroughly impressed all around. The girls behind the counter were all extremely friendly and accommodating, and the slices were some of the best Ive had. Between us we tried the tomato pie, upside down, and a white slice, I believe it was garlic. The slices were big and at a great price.Unfortunately, I live about a couple hours away from Big Jays, so its not something Ill be able to enjoy regularly. However, if they were in my area theyd absolutely be my go to spot. Whether youre in their neighborhood or just passing through town as I was, I highly recommend stopping in, you wont be disappointed. Im not a big review guy at all, but the service and product were both compelling enough for me to wanna share my experience.

2022-04-30Place a online order for lunch. Service was great. Food was hot and ready when I arrived. Lady at the counter was friendly. I think I found my new lunch spot during the next few weeks Im in town.

2020-09-24Pizza was OK but bland. Crust was still soft so it’s being under cooked.I will give them another whirl but there are many better pizza places in the area.Second and third visit pizza was much better and much more consistent. A little bit of confusion on the front of the house probably still working bugs out. But a good solid pizza.
