This location is a complete mess week by week lately. The shelves are not organized, there are boxes laying in the aisles also there are ladders that are out that is not in use. Clearly there is no store recovery. There is a need of a new staff in this Big Lots asap starting with all management! There was a guy manager sitting down at the register doing absolutely nothing.
Staff was extremely nice and helpful! We went in to pick up a sectional and two young gentleman quickly helped us load it into our vehicles. Happy with the experience although the scenery could be a bit cleaner behind the store if youre having customers pick up furniture there. Overall positive.
This location had exactly what I was looking for and more. Yeah! Store was clean and my cashier was friendly and courteous. He even asked if I would like a bag for my purchases. I normally have my own, but I went in for 1 item and came out with several. Big Lots has a large variety of of merchandise, so be prepared to look around. Conveniently located on Delaware Ave in Buffalo in a plaza shared with Kohls, Tim Hortons, Lilttle Caesars, etc. Needless to say I didnt have to cook because Little Caesars was my last stop before going home. It was soooo good. Both locations follow COVID-19 regulations, so be courteous to yourself and others. Wear your mask.
Great spot to find many dismonds in the rough. They have really awesome hospitable associates. They are always welcoming friendly and very helpful. They do not point you to what you need they walk you to it. I love that. The Christmas options are amazing. I found so many great snacks from when I was a kid that you can not find in many stores. A must shop place that isnt always over crowded like Walmart.
Do not bother with delivery. Paid $95 for Same Day delivery and they never showed up. Called the following day and they said they would call me next week to pick a day to reschedule. I went to store to pickup order the following day and they refused to remove the $95 delivery fee saying that it was impossible. I asked for a supervisor and was told that they dont have time to talk to someone over a $95 delivery fee. The manager could care less. Very bad experience.
Hadnt been there in a while and when I walked in love it. Like the new register area are nice and clean which is what people see. I hate walking into a store that is not clean. It kind of gives me the creeps and if they sell food thats worst. So hurray to Delaware big lots. And everyone is so helpful and nice and willing ☺️☺️
I usually like to go to the Big Lots in my area so I can be a little biased BUT when I am in the area, I will ALWAYS come and give them some of my coins. This one is just the right size, not too big or small. Always stocked with good items and has a variety of items that you need. The pricing is always fair and its always clean. Never too busy so do not expect to bump into people or wait in line forever. Always a smooth transaction and this is mainly ONE of the two locations that I will faithfully go to. Big thumbs up to whoever is running the show!!!
The employees were very nice and helpful .Showed me where cell phones accessories are and found what I needed at a good price .At check out the cashier asked if I had served my country and received a discount. That was great too !Big Lots in Buffalo off Delaware Ave near Hertel . Willbe be going again with that service and selection ....Shawn
First off the Big Lots web site is way off as far as inventory. Having said that we went to the store that was supposed to have 3 in n stock but none were available. Associate checked other stores and there were 4 available at that store. Got to that store and would you believe that there was nothing there as well?
Not a very happy customer. The manager Greg was with bad attitude and almost hit 2 Senior citizens with shopping carts that he had collected from the parking lot. He also was verbal and piss. Then I called to get some information about Mangers and Kaitlyn also gave me attitude, she hanged up with out me finishing my conversation. Deny giving me managers name. She stated she not here and dont know when she going to be.
We actually had a really difficult time here this weekend. We came a few days ago to purchase a couch. The couch wasnt in stock here but their inventory said another store had it, so we ordered it online to go and pick up. And hour later the order was canceled. When we called it was apparently an inventory error. We then spent the last two days trying to find any similar couch at any of the local big lots. We were told every single store was out. Finally we decided to come into the store again and see if we could just get something. Our old couch was falling apart. Thankfully, Tanner was working today. He went in back with a manager and found us the one we were looking for brand new. He even loaded into the car for us on this 90+ degree day. All 5 of these stars are for him.
Staff is never helpful. I ask where I can find an item they say it should be in Aisle ? An obvious aisle that I already checked, said where already looked, replied with the Lazy answer if its not on the shelf then we are out of it. Cant be bothered to look maybe I missed it or maybe just maybe more than what fits on the shelf was ordered and there is some in the Store Room!!!!!! But no, this Big Lots Employees has become very Lazy!!!!!! So sad it use to be a well organized and clean store with helpful staff.
We had a specific furniture piece that we had been searching for and only this location carried the item. The team at this location led by Jules was instrumental in helping us purchase and receive our item. She went above and beyond what is expected of a manager or employee to make sure we received what we were looking for. I would certainly send anyone to this location for assistance in the future. I also am happy with the quality of the furniture and the pricing is reasonable.
Big thank you to store manager mike hes amazing and had tons of patience with all of our questions and went above customer support when helping us purchase our couch definitely recommend this location as they also have had major improvements in cleanliness, organization, and management and it definitely shows.
All the toys were suppose to be buy 1 get 1 50% off it said it on the add also all over the shelves and when I go cash out I was charged full price for all the toys I asked the cashier how come I was charged full price for all the toys she tells me Idk how to do it so instead of calling someone who does she got real nasty n tells me well do you want them or not so instead of causing a scene I paid the full price for all of them so check your receipts if recently bought toys there this wk today is 12/21/19 it was the one on Delaware ave Buffalo, N.Y.
Im concerned about one of your employees , this person has to stand in the hot sun (during a heatwave here) without water, seat and umbrella (for shade )holding a sign most of the day. I cant in good conscious continue to shop at big lots until employees are treated in a more humane manner

2022-05-23The employees at this location are very rude, and not friendly or welcoming. I was not asked if I needed some assistance or help with finding anything. But the employee chose to follow me around the store and profile me as if I was suspicious when I had no bag or coat on. The cashier was rude and did not greet me and this happens every time I go in here. I haven’t shopped here since last year and now I see why. They need to do better at customer service and if a customer seems shady or they want to objectify you because of your race. As many people that we’re in the store, maybe communication would have been a better result, than mindlessly following a shopper that you hadn’t asked if they needed assistance. It saddens me to have to write this, especially when it’s your own kind in the community that you live in. All I’m asking is that you do better at making people feel welcomed in your store, and I will probably never shop here again.

2017-02-06You can find some great deals in this big store. I love coming here in the summer and stocking up on ridiculously cheap pool toys. Lots of parking and friendly staff makes it easier to keep coming back.

2022-07-08A wonderful alternative to Walmart or Target. Easier to maneuver and a wide variety of items from household items, to food, furniture (indoor and outdoor), and personal items. If you sign up on line, they will keep you informed on all the latest deals and new items that can be found throughout the store.

2021-06-05Hello world, Big lots the store that has more. Somebody prices are low pricey but I guess when they give you the discounts at all pans out. The store is a nice size but it seems like every time Im in there everything just look giant to me I dont know if its because Im short or whatbut a lot of stuff that I need is always going to Top shelf hell the staff is cool cuz they do help me if I dont know where something is they assist me and I love that theyre polite friendly and nice. And this is a store that has a little bit of everything. Have a beautiful and blessed day ❤️

2022-02-03Sales person in the furniture dept refused to wait or answer any questions that I was asking, ignored me totally, never received such nasty treatment before in any store, will never return to that location again.
