Have to say Brad at the Centereach store is an asset to this company. He goes above and beyond to be helpful and fix any problem that may arise. He returns phone calls too. Big lots your lucky to have Brad. We will definitely shop at this location due to Brads professionalism.

Big Lots was Very Nice. The store is well organized. I was able to find everything I wanted. The cashier was a dream, very pleasant and helpful.
Great selection and good display. They even let you try the couches and such during the COVID era! There is also good and experienced staff. 4/5 stars because just because I said great selection doesnt mean theres ALWAYS the things you want, but overall its good.

Bought furniture from here and what a mess. Pieces were there and some not to a whole set so had to wait a few weeks and when finally arrived another piece wasnt available and was given floor model. Not happy at all with the service from furniture dept. Our purchase had to be rung up and cancelled 5x. What a mess
I love Big Lots. I bought a beautiful gazebo from them at a very reasonable price and also beautiful patio couches for a great price. Much cheaper than other places. Good quality too. They have nice things for the home and great prices on food and health items. I shop there at least one a week. Highly recommend!

Nice, place. Staff was friendly, even when we price checked 4 items at the counter. We looked at mattresses and the guy informed us of a sale next week. Lower prices and then a sale. No pushy salesman, just someone being honest with us.
I love this store! I always find what I need at a great price. I was looking for a storage ottoman. They didnt have the one I wanted, but called the other store and had them hold one for me. Very nice customer service.

I like Big Lots. It has a large variety of things. The staff is scarce but when they do appear, they are very helpful. The quality on the items varies but most of the stuff is pretty good. Def check the expiration dates on the food but they carry a great deal of unusual items very inexpensively. My son likes their electronics department. You can get all kinds of wires and plugs and headphones. The garden department is my favorite. The most unique items can be found there.

Picked up some things that werent available in Walmart
Thus has been my guilty pleasure since it opened. I love their seasonal decorations *and they last*, they have interesting food choices too. If you want Walmart there is one steps away.

If you are looking to buy something durable- i would not recommend this store. If you need anything for long lasting, then this is not the place. If you want quality its not the place. Only reason i gave it three stars is if you get a 20% discount and buy products (not for long term) then the deal is good.
Not a good store, compared to the Riverhead Store, lousy stock, messy place,dirty and un-organized .Not a pleasant shopping experience by any means. two stars is a gift of a review. This store used to be ok, dont know why its a mess now ? maybe a personell problem ?

Came to look for a white bookcase for my daughter. According to the Walmart and Kmart apps, they had a very low selection of white and mostly smaller pieces of furniture. Walked in and found just what she wanted! They had a broader selection and some nice companion pieces I can pick up in the future!

I love this store, it’s my guilty pleasure. I could spend hours going through the aisles! My favorite is the grocery section, so many unique and delicious goodies in there!
What a great store! The prices here are pretty hard to beat. Ive seen alot of things that would be otherwise expensive anywhere else go for very cheap and modest prices here. For example, a decent sized bluetooth speaker with color changing LEDs is only 20$ here. A pack of 3 yoohoo chocolate drink boxes is only 1$ even. Their furniture here is very nice as well without reaching the thousand dollar mark. Also dont tell anyone, but if you want really cheap, off brand versions of that really expensive designer perfume you like, you can find them here. I bought Aqua Di Gio cologne for 56$ from the mall, but the off brand Aqua H2O from big lots was only 5$. And the bottle was bigger and smelled the same as the real thing too. All in all, if youre looking to save money, this really is the best place to go, its got dollar store discounts but with big ticket items.

Its all redone inside and looks beautiful. Alexis (Manager?) was very helpful and apologetic that they did not have what I needed but she directed me to a store nearby where I could.
On this occasion, I did not have the best experience. Not the best customer service and the store was lacking regarding stock. Maybe it was the day. Room for improvement.
I had purchased two couches for my den. They were purchased at different times, but the same couches. Cost me over $300 each. I had a structural problem with the first couch purchased. The center cushen sunk a good 10 inches into the couch. Could not get anywhere with the manufacturer or the people at Big Lots.Since then I have received satifaction on this problem. John frim the Centereach store pulled through and he was able to get a replacement new couch from the manufacturer. I had tried for weeks to get it done, but when they promised to replace the couch with structural damage, they did not respond to my emails or calls. John from the Centereach location was able to get a new couch for me. Picked it up today and I am very satisfied with the Professional Customer Service I received. Will continue to shop at Big Lots.

2022-06-12I ordered a shelf unit online. After assembling most of it there was a factory defect. It took me weeks to get this far. Not because it was complicated but because Im disabled and in pain. Jason at customer support was efficient and helpful. He said it was OK that I just couldnt take every piece apart. I brought it to the closest store, the Centereach location. I wasnt planning to do this today but I was 1 day past the 30 day return policy. I spoke with Bill, the manager. What a pleasure! He was professional, respectful & just plain NICE! He got Hector the furniture manager, also so helpful and nice! They were sorry it happened and both went out of their way to make the return so fast and painless, literally! I dont like asking for help but I was already in pain from putting everything in my car. I didnt have to ask! As Bill walked to my car with me to take the heavy box and 2 assembled frames, Hector was busy inside with the packing slip processing my return which I didnt know. I assumed I had to follow bill back inside but Hector suddenly appeared at my car with my refund receipt! I was speechless!I asked them if that was it? I can just go? I was in disbelief! They said of course! as Hector made sure I know I wont see the refund for 2 days.Even though the factory defect wasnt my fault, somehow I figured I was going to have to argue, mostly for not taking everything apart. Instead, I was so impressed with the way they act⁹ like they appreciate their customers! I will definitely be back. They have great deals, I just have to be up to shopping.Big Lots, TREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES GOOD! YOU HAVE AN AMAZING STAFF!! Even the cashier I approached to ask for the manager was a very polite young lady!Thank you Bill!Thank you Hector!Thank you for being professional and just nice people!! Ill be back!

2022-04-30Prices are great.....only issue I have is store maintenance....in the front of the store there were mirrors and pictures in frame on The floor and I had to pick them up in order to go through and it was difficult to get them to stay on the shelves as there were no guards to stop them from slipping.

2021-10-26Compared to Ocean State Job Lot, theyre at least honest from the get-go and tell you that they do not accept ANY coupons at all. For the most part, never had an issue making a return or a purchase because they seem to care to find out the truth. Hope it continues this way.

Waited in the furniture area, seated on a sofa, waiting for assistance, walked around the aisles found no one, I even had a customer ask me for assistance while I was sitting, under the assumption I worked there, sin6they saw me sitting for a long period of time.

Not to have it So I asks the manager if she can substitute the other coffee for the one they didnt have her response was NO and walked away. She was so rude I will never go there again. And if I could give O negative zero I would you dont disrespect customers

2021-04-18Every single thing that they had on display, that I was asking to buy, they did not have. Then I asked to buy the display and I got a no as well. Why have the store open? They told me to come back another day to see if they have anything in stock. Im trying to buy patio furniture for a beautiful Sunday, thats today. I will buy somewhere else. Its funny how eager they were to help me but then had no help whatsoever. Good luck buying anything from this store. I think its more for show. Just so you can go look at it.
