Had a bad experience... ...there was pressure put on me to pick-up a $249. bikke plus tax that was priced at $391.When I couldnt pick up the bike on there time line they claimed I lost my deposit... ....
I have purchased 4 bikes from Bike Depot East and have been extremely happy with the overall experience. Pricing is good. The owner is knowledgable and honest. He has always steered me in the right direction as to the best way to go. I definitely recommend this shop whether you are an experienced cyclist or just looking to jump on a bike for the first time since you were a kid. Good selection of kids bikes too.
Worker was very friendly and fixed my tire pretty fast. Definitely feel like he overcharged for the tire. I’ve had my tire fixed quite a few times this summer and this was the most expensive one by far.
Absolute and utter highway robbery. I went there for specific products and when I came back to pick up my bike I got the complete opposite. They act all nice and cool with you just so you can spend money there but he’s just screwing you over in the end. I got over charge 150-200$ extra for what I got done and I could’ve went to sayville or west Islip bike shop and got those same exact parts for wayyyyyyyyyyyyy less. Don’t come here they are not good people
This is definitely the best shop around. They fixed my bike really fast so I could get back out and riding and it lasts. Extremely nice guys too I wouldnt go to any other bike shop. There is also a nice selection of bmx bikes, beach cruisers, and parts. I read other reviews on google and I am pretty sure they are fake. I definitely recommend them.
Great Neighborhood bike shop, used Rich for turn ups and new bike purchase. Great quality bikes on hand and they know how to fit you for your style of riding....turn around time for service was good even though he was swapped due to the pandemic.
I would choose a zero if that was a choice ! The worst! Frank was beyond rude. They overcharged $50.00 for a tune up and a tire and the tire was flat in a week. Franks response was he hope I never come back. Very nice. Will never go there again and I will advise others not too.
DO NOT BUY HERE. I went to the bike shop July 21st. Asked for an eleven speed bike chain. He went to the back brought out a chain. He told me the price. I paid for it with out question. Later that day I put it on my bike and went for a ride. I work on my bike all the time. Never had an issue. A block into the ride. The chain is trying to move through the gears and slipping. I stopped several times to adjust the derailer. Could not get it right. Turned back halfway through. The next day I tried to get the gear settings right. It would not work. I found the chain box and put it into google. Found out it was a 10 speed chain. If you know anything about changing a chain then you know I was not happy. But hey stuff happens. I go back to the store. Explain what happened. He suggests I did something wrong. Tells me the only difference between a 10 speed and 11 speed is the length. I tried to explain that it is not. He took the old chain back and brought me a box with a chain. He said it was his thinnest chain. I was late for work. I took the chain. When I got to work and had a chance to look at I realized he had no clue. He took most of the packaging off an left a small indication that it was an 8 speed chain. I went to another bike shop bought the chain I needed. It’s installed and working perfectly. I went back for a refund. The same guy told me they are not giving refunds. Only giving store credit. He was talking to his boss on the phone about me and situation like I was not there. I told store credit is fine. I am always buying stuff. He then said he shouldn’t even give me that because I popped the link to install the chain. I asked him how else am I supposed. He then said I told him the chain was never used. Imperfect condition. He became argumentative. I told him I did not want this turn into a situation. I just want the credit. He then asked why am I threatening him. Bottom line I walked out. I have to now make this a legal situation.
I brought two bikes to be fixed today and they were both done within 20 mins while I waited. Also, met the owner...what a great guy and he did a great job fixing my bikes. Prices were reasonable and comparable to any bike store, I would recommend over some of the other local bike shops.
I had a bit of an accident and brought my bike in on Sunday. I was surprised and very happy when it was ready for pick up om Monday. They were also able to repair the front wheel instead of replacing it so it saved me some money also.
Walked in here with a bike that had a handle bar issue on a Sunday at 1:50 pm. Owner was very helpful and fixed it free of charge. What more could you ask for!! Very satisfied.
Rude. Accidentally parked in the owners spot I guess?Sign behind just said for tenants of the shopping center which I assumed encompassed all the shops. Came back to find my car blocked in by an illegally parked car. Asked at a few places and was directed to the bike shop. Owner yelled at me saying he was about to have me towed. I was parked for a half hour, my mistake.Funny thing was I needed to go to the bike shop. I’ll take my business elsewhere is this is how a business treats its locals.
Conveniently located in town, the Bike Depot has been servicing my familys bikes for years. Ive always found the owner to be warm and welcoming and have always been treated with the greatest of respect. I would highly recommend the Bike Depot to anyone looking for fair prices and quick service.
Walked in last Sunday chain came off derailleur was bent up and twisted thought it would cost hund6this guy was like oh you hit something smacked it with a hammer adjusted a few screw and wallah all done he is like $15 I was amazed. Will be bringing all my business here from now on you cant find honest and knowledgeable people anymore

We have a great area with parks, beaches & rivers to visit & my old bicycle seat was good for about an hour ride. Last weeks 3 hour ride was butt killer, this should do the trick. Ill give it the long ride test tomorrow. :)
Worst bike shop you can ever go to bad service, employees are not trained, high prices for a low quality job or part, i payed $40 for a $15 brake lever and brake lever grips that should be $10 at most. I do not recommend going to this bike shop for a repair nor do I recommend going to this bike shop for any sort of parts.
Came into the bike shop with a blown tire,tube,breaks didnt work, grips falling off. And left with everything brand new for a cheap price. The owner of the store was kind and fixed my bike in a short period of time.l
Been going here for years. Always great fast service.I asked what is a good bike for nice casual bike riding.Recommended a GIANT brand bike. It is an excellent bike and I thank you guys at the BIKE DEPOT so very much.
Don’t waste your time. Owner can’t operate an open sign. The open sign is on when the store is closed and vice versa. Got all of bikes loaded up in the car unloaded down the block and found that the store was closed. What a waste of time. Should have trusted the other 1 star reviews. We ended up going to sayville to a store filled with knowledgeable people who actually knew what they were doing. The opening hours are also not correct on google. The website says store is open till 6pm we were there at 4pm.
If you are looking for a place that knows bikes and treats customers with care, DO NOT COME HERE! They sold me a bike and when things needed to be tuned up they lied to me and were to lazy to take a good look at my bike. Do not trust these guys. Im supposed to get free repairs from them and they failed to do so EVERY TIME and basically pushed me out. Almost everyone I know says this place sucks, now I know why.
Terrible Service. I brought them my Giant Bike (Which I purchased there) for replacement of rusted parts. “New” parts already had rust on them and the employee forgot to tell me about the Freewheel which he forgot to replace. $150+ for a still broken bike is a Scam. Very Bad Service; Do not come here with your bicycle issues.

Very disappointing. the owner is not very nice, and doesnt seem interested in helping. . Also he doesnt have any prices out where you can see them. He just spits out a price. I went there twice and he told me to different prices each time. when i tried to return something he tried to give me the lower price instead of the price I paid. Also he doesnt give receipts. If he thinks you have money he will tell you the higher price. I will never go here again.He is way too expensive. Amazon has 10x what he has and very reasonable prices. He charges 30 for a cloud9 , I got mine on Amazon for $22.
2nd time used them for a tune-up on my TREK 7200, service was fast and reasonable.
This place tries to scam me, the fat old guy at the desk was being rude to me and his employee looks like he has pubes as his hair. He looked like a homeless man and I was offended by his appearance. Threatened to call the cops on me because I offended them. The fat kid with the afro that tried helping me while the owner was in the bathroom was extremely rude and seemed to have anger problems. Never go to bike depot it sucks.

Do not go to the place... The old guy its so boring he doesnt know how to talk with the customer and the price is Double than the other stores... I when to buy a road tires and he told me. We dont havent.. I see you! ... And I asked for holder phone and he told me the same thing and he call me stupid so if you dont want spend time find a better store

Worst customer service. Yesterday I searched what time they were open until and they advertise its open till 6, so i brought my bike down at 530 because i work late, And they were closed. Today I called them at 4:45, and got in my truck with my bike after just speaking with them, and they left. Very unprofessional, inconsiderate. Go elsewhere.
I was in the store for five minutes and no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I warn all African Americans about this store. Do not spend your money where you are not wanted.

Bike depot is a very friendly shop that I brought in a bike they dont even carry, but they fixed everything and like bike rides like its brand new. Definitely recommend anyone to bring there bike here to get fixed or buy a new bike

2021-07-18Ive come here several times to get inner tubes replaced on my bike. Every time I come here there seems to be someone else working.One time they figured out that one of my tires needed to be replaced. They found the right size quickly!I think theres a fair selection of shelved products for people who want them, but nothing that really caught my interest.

2020-07-15I’ve been to this shop a couple of times. Customer service could definitely be better. Purchased a Cloud 9 kush plus saddle(bike seat) and was charged $60. At the time I thought it was a little high but I needed something quick for my daughter’s bike. I checked prices online a couple of days later and found that they charged me double what most places are charging. I guess it’s nice to have a shop like this around when you’re in a jam, but they need to be more reasonable with their prices.

2021-03-11BUYER BEWAREIf I could give them ZERO stars I would. Apparently they have a no refund or exchange policy. Which they DO NOT verbally inform their customers. They said it is printed on the receipt. That is pointless because once you have a receipt the item is already purchased and cannot be returned. There is a sign in the shop but, it is hanging up at top of the 10ft ceiling. I brought my niece in there and they DID NOT fit her properly for the bike. The tires were only 6lbs of air and the gears needed to be adjusted. I am new to bike shopping and this was a horrible experience.BUYER BEWARE.

2020-08-22Two times here. Both times both employees were not wearing masks. They did a great job fixing my bike problem. However I won’t be coming back here until I’m sure they care enough to wear a face covering. No sign on door either saying others should wear one. During first visit I asked where were their masks, they went on to explain they thought news was making a big deal over nothing. I truly hoped by now they would realize how irresponsible it was not to have one on. Unfortunately things are the same, they still don’t care about the safety of their customers. I won’t be going back....

2021-07-15Bought a bmx. 3 weeks later, rear hub locked up with a lot of friction. Owner blamed me. Spent $100 on upgraded rear rim and hub, that has the same issue. I asked a few questions about bmx and the owner replied “do you smoke like a real lot of pot?”

2020-06-13I went to another local bike shop and the bike prices were $800 and up each bike. My family and I were purchasing 3 bikes. We decided to walk out and go to the bike depot. We were able to purchase 3 bikes for $1500. Rich was amazing! So happy to purchase my dad birthday gift and have something to do with the family.

It was serviced with great care and I felt very satisfied. Other shops would have replaced parts not bothered to take a moment to fix the issue, highly recommend
