Wow, Saturday morning and the bums were out!!! I mean if you had to do something here I guess, but Id rather have my kids dodge traffic on the highway than play around in this park
A beautiful and serene park. The facilities were well kept and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Its one of my favorite parks to frequent. Its always clean. In the summer its very lively. Usually on Sundays you can catch one or two baseball games. If your dog is a social pup hr or she will LOVE it. Plenty of people walk their dogs here. I have not run into a vicious pup. Best of all, pet owners clean up after their dogs. You wont have to play hopscotch through poop like most parks. lol Come out and enjoy Rainey Park!
Big park. Very nice. Basketball court, seating area, picnic area, playground area, baseball area, just a nice big park. Near the 2 and 5 train, a dollar tree and white castle, a few blocks away is the 6 train and a few other restaurants.
Rainey Park did not exist when I was a child. However.....it is a beautiful space for the residents of that area now.The park was clean. The appearance is beautiful.I got to sit on a bench and meditate.I felt such peace and joy and thought, Whata jewel for the South Bronx.

This could be a great park if the people from outside the community cleaned up behind themselves. The Parks Department can share some of the blame because they removed trash cans, and the clean crew does not clean the Beck Street side of the park the same as the. Hewitt Pl side.
Nothing but a bunch of addicts, homeless people, and drug dealers in this park once the evening hits. I cannot count the amount of times Ive seen the ambulance pull up there to pick up people. Witnessed both men and women urinate and defecate on park property. Absolutely disgusting.
This is the closest park to where I live there is a decent area where you can run. Baseball field in good condition and a seperate large area to play soccer. Constant hang out though with people drinking and smoking.
A another gem from The Bronx! A great place to clear my mind! Blocks away from the Intervale Ave. Station 2/5 trains.
A huge,clean, wonderful park of different ethnicities that mesh together as one entity.
Attended a Special Event Block Party for Home Base, a Division of the Archdiocese of New York, Catholic Charities..Started slow, but as the crowds were building, you could sense the excitement..Bill Rainey Park is reasonably well maintained. Grass was cut, trees trimmed and Restrooms were respectfully neat and clean. Clearly, the New York Citys Parks and Recreation Department keep an eye on this Venue and the local staff pride themselves on maintaining this good-sized local Bronx facility..NYC Councilmember Rafael Salamaca Jr graciously appeared to be a volunteer. The Councilmember personally disbursed no less than 700-800 bookbags/backpacks for the Elementary School Children on this hot and humid day. Kudos for his leadership and spirit..Recommend for picnics, ballgames, and other outdoor activities..
I used to go to this park and my school that i graduated in 2006 i had so many memories.we used to play volleyball, baskettball and baseball. When i finnish school i always walk through this neighborhood and alway exercise and my friend would sit on a bench. Oh man good memories. What a nice park

This is the park of my childhood. Where so many things have happened here. So much history. Before it used to be an old neighborhood. That disappeared when The Bronx was burning. Now it’s a great park.

2022-06-20As always a pleasant to park thats good to go and sit on just about any of the benches, and the people there always seem pleasant. NYC Police usually ride in the park to patrol 🚓 which I think its safe for all. At night about 8:30 or so police ride through and announce that the park is now closed. The baseball games there are also a treat for those visiting Bill Rainey Park.

2019-08-18Very refreshing park to be for self reflection and chat with friends and love once. Its secured and located within a safe space. The neighbors are friendly as well to tourists and strangers.Whenever you eat or drink. just look for the trash can to drop off your trash to continue to keep the environment clean.
