Bill Rapp Subaru in other cities:
From Leslie on the phone directing me to come in at 7:30 on Tuesday to have my tire replaced first thing, to Jenna who took my information and kept me updated on the process of getting said tire fixed. I was out of there in under 30 minutes, with a new tire that was exactly how much I thought I would be paying for it. I bought my car from another dealership, but Bill Rapp Subaru has just earned themselves a new loyal customer. Thank you for your promptness, your professionalism, and your washing my car!
From the beginning when I ordered my Subaru in January I was impressed with the attention to detail and making this process smooth and enjoyable! I was very excited about buying my first Subaru. The salesperson stayed in touch with me to update me on the progress and delivery date. It arrived within the time frame I was told it would. He explained every feature about the it the day I picked it up. From beginning to end couldnt have gone smoother. Love driving it!
Picked up this used 2017 WRX limited from Bill Rapp Subaru about a month ago, after having the car for a few days I noticed noise coming from the throw out bearing. I brought it in and the techs quickly diagnosed it, and asked if I wanted to replace the clutch as well, because of the higher mileage. Of course I said yes because of the 30 day warranty. I worked with Matt Montoya and this was my first time buying a car! He was very straight forward, never changing topic, very kind, and not pushy with anything! He’s definitely a great person to work with.
I had a great experience at Bill Rapp. The service department accommodated me to let me wait for my car which helped me out immensely. It took much less time than I expected. The staff were very friendly & explained everything thoroughly to my understanding. I am alway impressed with the kindness & curtsy I receive at this dealership! Thank you for an excellent experience!
I worked with Frank Wiechowski and had a wonderful experience. Ive been working with Frank since I started getting cars and have happily been a return customer. He was very personable, kind, fun to work with and extremely helpful. He is retiring and I had the pleasure of being one of his last clients before he left. I cant speak much to the rest of Bill Rapp Subaru since Ive only worked with Frank, but I would hope the rest of the company is equally wonderful.
By far our best experience purchasing a car. Salesperson Julie Moore helped us through the ordering process and kept us informed as we waited for it to arrive. We now have a great vehicle(Subaru Ascent) that we got a great deal on. If you are shopping for a Subaru, you need to shop Bill Rapp Subaru, and see Julie!
Hi! The experience at Bill Rapp is always good and the people who work there are always kind. This time I went for my car inspection, and I was told that if I had bought the car there (I couldnt because you didnt have a one with standard shift) the inspection would have been free. But I choose to bring the car to your place instead of another dealer, shouldnt you consider that too? Also, you used to wash the car, dont you do that anymore? It was not a cold day!
Exceeded my expectations. Matt R was a pleasure to work with. He explained the process and what to expect. The entire store was inviting and no pressure. This was our first Subaru purchase and it couldn’t have gone better. Even when we showed up on a Saturday unannounced we were able to complete a lot of the paperwork saving valuable time later on the delivery date. I highly recommend Buying your next car from here.
Made a deal on a used car in less than an hour! Picked it up 2 days later. Sam was great during the whole process. He listens, knows the vehicle specs and how to set everything up and treats you the way you want to be treated. I highly recommend this dealership based on my experience.
I made an appointment to look at a vehicle with a certain salesman. The car wasnt ready but they showed me it anyhow so I could check it out. I was trading my truck in as well (2015 jeep compass high altitude with 70k) I was told by the salesman their adjuster said it was valued at $4k trade in is between $10k to 12k I wouldve went with $8k. I had a check engine light which was my gas cap but he told me my transmission wasnt shifting correctly. He said I could try to get it past another dealership but they would catch it. He then asked me how much I was willing to put down. I said nothing we are done and to suggest I would try to perpatrait a fraud is so unprofessional. This guy was an absolute joke and insulting. My brother in law is a mechanic and there is nothing wrong with the transmission. Nevertheless I bought a vehicle that same day and traded my truck in for $9k. I would never return to this dealership. I dont know if all their sales people are as unprofessional as this guy was but they should at least know it.
Went to Bill Rapp Subaru with the intention of offloading a heavily depreciating SUV I had bought not even a year prior. I worked with Matt Montoya on the sale and he was amazing. They were able to (unbelievably) give me positive equity on my trade-in and a very good deal on my new 2021 Outback. Matt was a pleasure to work with, answered many, many questions, some even after hours. Sean in the F&I office was also a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend!
I’ve only had the vehicle for a day so my stars are only based on customer service. When I went to pick my car up, Tony went through everything with me in office then when I got in car he went through it again. I went from a 2001 Subaru to a 2019 Subaru so it is like driving a big computer lol. But felt very confident when I left.I do love my new car.Thank You all at Bill Rapp
We went to Bill Rapp Subaru for servicing our low beams on our 2011 Forester and it turned out to be user error. The driver (who shall remain nameless) was using the day time running lights, so there was really no problem. They would have been within their rights to charge their standard fee for service but instead didnt charge at all. We thought that was very nice of them and will continue to use them for service on our Subaru.
Bill Rapp has a consummate service department. I had a lot of work done to my vehicle so I could move nearly across country. When I went to pick it up, there was an issue with my card. The money was there, but the bank said the issue was with Visa and how they process payments. Bill Rapp was completely understanding and generous with their loner. Almost a week later, having moved to NM from NY, my check engine light came on. Bill Rapp said they’d work with me if the issue came from the work they did - I just need to bring it to a dealership here in NM and let them run diagnostics. The issues that came up weren’t as a result of work done at Bill Rapp. I actually called them back and spoke with Mark in the service dept., he stated one of the parts the burned out they had replaced and had an SOA (Subaru of America) lifetime warranty. I told the dealership in NM about it and gave them the itemized work receipt and was refunded the cost for the part.
This is my 4th leased vehicle will Bill Rapp. I am so pleased with everything Bill Rapp has to offer. I have worked with Julie everytime and she exceeds customer service! She is so informative and helpful and not to mention, kind.Julie goes above and beyond when it comes to her customers. When I picked my new ascent up, I noticed there was some grease on the passenger side headliner. Instead of saying how to clean it when I get home, Julie took it upon herself to go back inside get a cloth and clean it off herself! She insisted and would not let me leave until she personally cleaned all the grease. I felt like this was such a great act of kindness and excellent customer service! Thank you Julie! I will continue to lease/buy thru Bill Rapp!
My wife and I have bought three Subarus from Bill Rapp, two of which were sold to us by Tony Madonna. It is a pleasure to work with the same sales person over many years. This year because of a shortage of cars we ordered a Subaru Forester rather than buying one on the lot. Tony was particular helpful in sorting through various options and add-ons available. He really knows the cars he is selling. Although weve just received the car and havent driven it much, we seem to have found one that really meets our needs.
Brought my car in for a weird noise it was making under specific driving conditions. Ultimately the problem hasn’t been solved because my car decided that the noise it makes is our special little noise just for us and no one else. Ya know? Our little secret…. Lol. Anyways, despite not getting my issue solved I have to say they went above and beyond to try to figure it out but the tech or service writer just couldn’t reproduce the noise. The service writer even took the time to go on a test drive with me to where it wouldn’t make the noise but assured me if it got worse, they would take care of it right away. A loaner was provided and was a smooth experience overall.
My First Servicing was impressive, well organized and personal sign in attention. Comfy waiting area with coffee, snacks and environmentally appropriate trash choices clearly marked, restrooms nearby. As newby to Subaru, my questions were all answered..Additionally sales Rep M R came in early at my request to answer more questionsAnd it was a nice surprise to learn that my Inspection would always be Gratis….tho i reside 40 minutes drive from syracuse, all this made my trip worthwhile
Excellent new car buying experience. I live in the Utica area and felt I needed to look into other Subaru dealerships - outside of Utica. Luckily, I Googled and called Bill Rapp and spoke with Samuel in sales. This isn’t your typical “car salesmen” type of place. I found Samuel to be knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, *not pushy*, open, genuine and honest. I ordered a brand new Subaru Crosstrek over the phone. Picked it up earlier than expected - which was last night. It was Samuel’s day off but he met me at the dealership. Gave me a personal tutorial about all the fantastic features of this vehicle. I am so pleased with this experience that I will gladly drive to Syracuse for all maintenance. Bill Rapp is where my husband and I will purchase our new vehicles from in the future. Thanks Samuel! I love the new Crosstrek!
The service people fixed the arm of my hatch back and also the other one on the other side, which I didn’t know was weak, all covered under warranty. I gave the ok to do some suggested work, under no pressure, also, which would have amounted to $75-$100. When I discovered my credit card was not in my purse, the man from service got the ok from above to cover the expense!! Thank you very much!
Whenever I have stop by Bill Rapp Service Center, the employees are always nice from the girl I hand my keys to and to the people behind the counter when I have to pay for services or give me help about my tire pressure. This is why I go to here for service and not to some garage to have work done.
I went in too discuss trading in my car for a new car.. the overall experience was mediocre at best, the offer they gave me on my car was insulting, considering the fact I had been to other local dealers and carmax.. they told me my car had been in FIVE accidents.. like I was stupid.. it has been in two.. they offered me 14k for it… a 2018 BMW 330i XDrive with 50k on it.. they sell in my condition for 23k to 25k.. I understand they need to make money I was well aware I was not going to get retail but that is ridiculous.. Romano Subaru gave me 22.5k that’s a 8.5k dollar difference with absolutely no haggling for a 10 min drive. Like come on
I am pleased to say that we are first-time Subaru owners (from Bill Rapp as well)..! I can also 100% say that Ulas U. Is THE guy if you are in the market for a Subaru!Starting from the beginning, February-March 2022 I began looking at Hondas, as well as Subaru models on the market, visiting at least one Honda dealership, Drivers Village Pre Owned, Bill Rapp Subaru, then Romano Subaru. Several family members own Hondas 2014-2022 and they swear by them. I was steered away from Hondas due to the salesmen.Im greatful for that. Several friends own Subarus, and we test drove a 2021 Wrangler around that time, and started investigating.I believe within March I test-drove a 2019 Subaru Outback Premium, and looked at Crosstreks. I was intrigued. Now around this time I had contacted Bill Rapp, spoke with the first salesman (NOT Ulas), looked at Foresters, Crosstreks, and Outbacks. We discussed options, all was well. I went into RAPP at least once or twice, and spoke with the first salesman a handful of times either on the phone, or through text.Unfortunately, between April and May, several events occurred and at first, I stagnated for about a month before contacting him again- the timeline had changed and I decided to move on a Subaru. Later that evening (late May 2022), We spoke several times and I put a down payment on a credit card with the first salesman ( I want to reiterate this person was NOT Ulas, he comes in soon...)Everything changed after I gave him my Credit Card Info, it seemed. It became impossible to reach him, after learning the timeline on the car coming in had been delayed, there was virtually no communication. So much so that I called the Manager. Later that day or the next day he and the first salesman called me back and said their system had gone out. I understand. Later he texts me that the Subaru was delayed again, and that he would forward me information..That was Early June. I received nothing, texted emailed and called and finally by early July I called the manager, left a message, never heard back from the manager again. On July Seventh I heard back from the 1st salesman. To my great dismay, he had been on vacation and the car had been delayed a third time.I was about to consider other dealerships, I had spoken with Royal in Cortland, Subaru in Auburn, Enterprise Used Car Sales, Utica Subaru, etc. THANK GOD I waited a few days...Not more than three days later, I received a call from a New Face, Ulas! He assured me we were still in business, forwarded me information on the vehicle, his card, etc. He never ONCE ignored me or made me feel unvalued.Luckily, the car came in several days later (earlier than the third delayed ETA). Ulas had everything arranged, explained everything several times and helped us through the process.I am completely satisfied with my purchase and my experience with Ulas U. I wish I had met him from the start. Very positive friendly experience and they make you feel like part of a family. We bought a few extras (mats, Undercoating, etc), however, we did some post-purchase research and discovered we may have saved more than expected with Bill Rapp.Goto Bill Rapp Subaru today, and ask for Ulas!
I was prepared for a long wait while the maintenance and NYS inspection was done but due to the very accommodating waiting room with coffee, snacks and TV the time went by very fast! It actually took less time than expected and I was on my way home with a sparkling clean car too!
I was very disappointed because before I came in the price I was quoted was over $250 less. Also while I was there having my 60,000 mile service the technician called me to let me know that I needed to have both my rear and front brakes completely replaced. I bring my vehicle there for all of its maintenance and was never told that I needed brakes until this time. After every oil change that I have done there.
Unscheduled maintenence but it still took a week of pestering to get the car looked at. As usual, cost of repair was high but expected from the dealership. I can feel assured that they know subarus better than a general mechanic, so the job was probably done to subaru standards
Best experience yet with purchasing a vehicle! Ulas was great to work with... very personable, no pressuring & honest! He is also very knowledgeable about Subarus in general so he can show you all the special features and tricks available. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Ulas & Bill Rapp Subaru!
I worked primarily with Tony Madonna as well as with Sean Abbott for some details. Tony worked tirelessly to answer the many questions I had. He is a plus, plus, salesman. Tony was always pleasantand I never felt rushed. After going over several highlights in the owners manual, he then came to the car and made sure I was comfortable before I drove off. Tony rules! 🙂I would definitely highly recommend the Bill Rapp dealership.
Took my car in for a variety of things; as always customer service was cheery, helpful, and listened to my concerns. The service department was in touch every step of the way. Even though there are signs saying they are short staffed and to please be patient, my car was done right on time. I love taking my car to be serviced at Bill Rapp…they are one of the reasons I will always drive a Suburu! Thanks to everyone in the service department for making my experience smooth and pleasant!
Servce staff provides promp service with courtesy. Repairs were made quickly and my car was returned faster than expected.New car purchase went well Bill Scoville did not disappoint. This is my second purchase from Bill and again I was happy with the process, very easy, very straight forward. I have recommended Bill to other family members they also expressed happiness with their recent purchase.
I went to have fog lights out in my new Assent. I tried at a different dealer ship, the one I actually bought the car from and they could not accommodate me for 2 months with the part I purchased at their location. I called Bill Rapp Subaru and talked to the service scheduler Sam. She was so nice and very professional. Got me scheduled quickly and was extremely accommodating. When I brought my car for my appointment, Marc my service advisor had everything ready for me including the rental car in the drop off garage waiting. I cannot thank them enough for all they did. They are courteous and extremely nice took care of my needs. Great service!!!!!!Catherine Knight
Arriving on time for my appointment, I was promptly assisted at the service desk by a very polite and efficient rep. If you have never been to this dealership/ service department one of the first things you will notice is how clean and bright the area is. Impressive. The customer waiting room is comfortable and clean. My wait time was very reasonable which allowed me to get on with my day. Pricing ( new car on a lease so this was a 6000 mile service appointment) for today’s service was also very reasonable. My car is “my baby” and I believe it is in great hands at Bill Rapp Subaru!
Ive had my Subaru since 2014 and its going strong at 165000+ miles thanks to the attention of Bill Rapp Subaru service. They have a good combination of modern (email/text updates, online scheduling/status, updated facilities and systems at their location) and traditional (well-trained, professional reps and tech/mechanical staff, complimentary coffee while you wait). Sure, service at the dealer is expensive and with my high mileage car I do some things elsewhere. But when I need an expert I know I can count on the service team at Bill Rapp.
Purchased my first Subaru this past Saturday. It was a great experience. Sam was very knowledgeable and I am very appreciative! Only bummer is I have to wait until my car comes in, but I know it will be worth the wait. 🙂 My family and I will definitely continue doing business with this dealership!
Buying process is straightforward and no surprises. Upfront pricing and no pressure to purchase add-ons. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Brian M. my salesperson and Brian L. were excellent. Very happy with my 2015 XV Crosstrek Limited, car was in mint condition. I was so pleased, that I came back the next week to purchase another vehicle for my son, a 2014 Subaru Forester Touring. I live an hour away and Brian M. delivered the vehicle to my home. Had an issue with a tire pressure sensor a few days later. Jenna in the service department got me in, and even though the sensor is considered a wear item, they took care of it free of charge and also washed the car. Bill Rapp Subaru is what all dealerships should strive to be.
This was the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. I worked mostly with Matt Montoya. He was very helpful, responded quickly to my many questions, kept me regularly updated throughout the process, and was very accommodating when some unforeseen obstacles came up on my end. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. Plus I got the car at a lower price than I was expecting to pay, given the market at the time. If you’re looking for a Subaru, I recommend you reach out to Matt.
Bought a new Crosstrek last week and everything went great. I got a fair offer for my trade-in and the car arrived earlier than expected. Had all the details ironed out before I went to pick the car up and was at the dealership for not even a half hour, smoothest car purchase I’ve ever had. Only thing I didn’t get was the owner’s manual due to supply shortages, but was told will ship at a later date. Thanks, Ulas!
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a car from them three months ago. When i took it home it was shaking I brought it back to the lot with in my 30 day warranty and they told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now two months later i brought it in shaking even worse and there is 700$ worth of damages. The customer service is terrible. I am 19 and bought my first real big kid car through them and they just took advantage of a young teenage girl. I do not recommend them at all.
I am reluctant to post as I had terrible purchasing experience at Bill Rapp however the repair services have been very good. This last one for a headlight was fast and ever so efficient. Jenna was a superstar. Really love the shuttle services offered as well. Repair department staff always kind and helpful.
Bill Scoville was a tremendous help when leasing my new Subaru Forrester. He helped me with the leasing process, going over all of my options I had when choosing to buy my old lease or to go with the new car. After sharing with me the financial benefits of leasing a new car, the decision was easy. When I received the new car, Bill went through all the features of the car with me. He has told me to call him if I need answers to questions I may have with the car. I would highly recommend him and Bill Rapp Subaru to friends or family.
I found the car I wanted online, called to make sure it was still available. Test drove it that night, it had some minor things that needed to be fixed/cleaned as it was a new intake. They kept me posted on its progress finished 3 days early. Went up to sign paper work and pick it up, we were in and out in 20 minutes!
Actually a pleasant experience in purchasing our vehicle from them. We knew what we wanted andThe sales rep was up front and honest about theAvailability of said vehicle, and didnt at any timeTry to steer us to what may have been available since what we were looking for was not in stock. The price was where we expected without having to haggle and financing went better than expected. With that said, were pleased withThe reception we received at Bill Rapp and weLove the Subaru Forester.
This was my first time buying a Subaru and it was a great experience. Julie Rotella Moore was fantastic. Julie took the time to make sure the car I bought matched my needs, explained everything to me, and made this a very enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend Julie as your salesperson! This was truly an enjoyable experience buying a car as it had been 8 years since I bought a car. Thank you
I went in for an inspection and tire rotation which were quick. I was told a recall was in place to update my computer software for the vehicle, I just assumed that would be a quick process so I waited for the car. 1.5 hours later it was finally done. During that time I had to keep asking the customer rep in the service department why it was so long and when it would be ready , I was never told it would take so long or given updates on its progress, I was very upset and frustrated with this. The communication from the service desk reps needs to be better.
Julie Moore gave me beyond excellent service when I bought my new Subarus...Rich in Service is a gem also and has helped me out many times..You Guys are Great...!!!THANK YOU VERY MUCH PEOPLE..!!!P.S I just bought Subaru number 7. This is the finest winter vehicle I have ever owned. Period..!I just bought number 8. These guys are truly GREATThanks Julie and all.!!!
Really good experience. We have dealt with enough other dealers to truly appreciate how well we were treated throughout the buying process. There is no question in our minds about where we will go when we need another used vehicle. We so appreciate everyones effort to get me into the car I wanted as quickly as possible, especially Matt Rabbia, who was really great to work with. I am very happy with my car.
We purchased a vehicle off the showroom floor yesterday and I have to say the whole process was not stressful! All the employees were professional and caring! Our salesman Matthew was fantastic! He stayed late past closing time to get us out the door with our new vehicle even going over all the features before we drove off the lot! We feel like we got a great deal and are very happy with our new Subaru Forester!
Wow! I can only say good things about Bill Rapp. Attempting to buy a car during COVID19 isnt the easiest but Sean A. made it a breeze. Sean was professional, easy going, and really knew his stuff! He had to jump through a bunch of hoops during this time to get me on the road as quickly as possible. I so appreciate it! He helped me find my first perfect family vehicle with all the bells and whistles all while saving me money. Ulas U. was a breath of fresh air durning the virus as well. Ulas sense of humor and warmth was the cherry on top of a great trade in. Thank you Sean, Ulas, and the staff at Bill Rapp for a great experience during a tough time!
Frank Weichowski went above and beyond to help me find the perfect car. He listened to what my family needed and we came up with the best options. He advocated for me throughout the buying process with all the little details including working with my insurance company. Once the sale was complete, he sat in the car with me and demonstrated all nuances that make my Subaru Impreza special. He even helped me hook up MySubaru and connected my phone to the car. He has helped my family several times and we will continue to go back to Bill Rapp Subaru for future cars!
Daughters college car in for airbag recall and oil change. Left it there all day and still wasnt done at 4pm. Brake lights were out and they didnt tell me until it was done, sort of an oh by the way. Inspection was up at the end of the month and they didnt bother to remind.
I drove 2 hours to get my car from billrap Subaru where I had Subaru dealership close by. There are one of the few dealership that haven’t marked up their inventory above msrp .The transaction was very pleasant, bill stayed in communication with me during the entire process. Will recommend to friends and family !!
Bill Rapp Subarus team was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish! They were very accommodating and quick to respond and answer any questions. When we arrived at the Dealership, there was a very welcoming atmosphere and the pick-up experience was seamless and quick. We are very satisfied with the vehicle, and would absolutely recommend Bill Rapp to anyone in our network looking for a new vehicle!
Last week we took delivery of our 2022 Outback Premium- were delighted! We bought it through sales rep Sam Cerelli and my wife and I agreed that in our combined 100+ years (gulp??!?) of buying cars, this was by far the smoothest, easiest, lowest-pressure, most comfortable car buying experience we have ever had.We ordered in September and Sam told us that with the chip shortage and Covid-related manufacturing issues to expect delivery end of November. He was right on.Thank you Bill Rap Subaru- and thank you Sam!
After a horrible experience at Fox Subaru in Auburn, NY the night prior- I was very happy to purchase a brand new vehicle from Bill Rapp Subaru. Having owned two Subaru’s prior I was looking to connect with someone who could educate me on all the new upgrades. Our salesman was kind, knowledgeable, patient and not at all pushy. He truly knew the product he was selling. Thank you, Tony Madonna for all of your help. I love my new Outback!
The people in this dealership are so nice. Very helpful and spend a lot of time with you on your new car delivery. Dan Ludwig was my sales specialist and I cant thank him enough for his professionalism and courtesy. Its like a big family in their showroom. Take a trip down to visit and you will get the full experience!
Not only do I love my Subaru but they really do a great job at their service center. They always get my car in and out quickly and they take really good care of it. After having issues with another dealership with a different brand car over a decade ago, I don’t think I’ll ever drive anything other than a Subaru, and I will always purchase mine from Bill Rapp.
I communicated with the dealership a number of times before actually showing up. I had an appointment as some VIP, but when we got there no one had a clue as to who we were or what we were looking for, even though I had specifically requested to drive cars with specific stock numbers and was assured those would be ready for us. We were greeted rudely, and then when we finally got to look at one of the cars, the sales rep got in the back seat. We were shocked! Even with a pandemic still raging, they were insistent on riding with us. We didnt go. We had driven an hour to get there, and no one thought it important to be respectful enough to notify us that a rep would be riding. Never doing business with any Bill Rapp store. They all have the same policy of requiring a babysitter--if not in the car, then following along behind in another car. 🙄 No thanks.
I start by saying I have always had great experiences with Bill Rapp Subaru, both sales and service. And I have given you stellar reviews. This time not so much. The interaction on the phone has always been friendly and quick. This time slow and the person I spoke with seemed stressed. Appointment was for 8:30. Dropped car night before. Wasn’t ready until late afternoon. Didn’t get the checklist I usually get showing what you did, how much tire wear, etc. There was a nail in a tire and you missed it. I woke up to a flat. Pumped it up with my bicycle pump. And am now at Munro. They say they can’t patch the tire and I need four new ones. I’m at their mercy. Would have much rather been talking about the tires with you and buying the tires from you. Maybe you were short staffed Wednesday. Everyone is entitled to an off day. You weren’t up to your high standards though. That’s for sure.
I was really annoyed with false advertisement. To be honest I went the day before around 3:30 they told me that getting an oil change would be 2 hrs. Which made no sense to me since I was told when I bought my car you don’t need appointments for oil change they will always get you right in. That was the impression that I always had in my head since buying this car. I have previously done so with no problem. Monday was different I felt pressured to come back for the next day. She told me the hours that would be best for the next day. I just don’t understand why I could not get it the day I asked for it. They close at 7pm in was only 3:30 not like 5 or 6 which I would understand. I was really annoyed I called Brian Rapp he did call back which I did respect never made contact called back again after he called and never made contact. That is why I writing this. I just feel like if you are going to say speedy oil changes no appointments it should or matter what time or day they should make it happen. That I why I fell like it False advertisement. I don’t feel that comfortable going back since you don’t know if the day you want it done May not happen. I thinking I might just goBack to a mechanic that takes appointments so I know I can get it done on the day that I would like it done.
The team at Bill Rapp is top notch. Sam Cerelli gave me an honest evaluation of the value of my lease and when would be the best time to turn it in for a new lease. He helped me factory order a car so I got exactly what I wanted and I felt like he had my best interest in mind throughout the entire experience. These are the only people I want to buy or lease a car from.
Another very pleasant and satisfying experience at this dealership. Our 2022 Outback is the second Outback we purchased from this dealership. Our sales consultant, Bill Scoville, once again was very personable and knowledgeable. In these post Covid times finding a vehicle, especially with the colors and features you want, can be quite challenging. Bill worked with us in getting exactly what we wanted and we are very pleased with our new Outback. We would definitely recommend this dealership to others.
I can’t say enough about the Body Shop at Bill Rapp Subaru. This is the second time they have done work on my 2015 Outback due to a collision. The personnel are friendly, professional and on top of their game. They kept me informed during the entire process. When I picked up my car it looked brand new, INSIDE and out. They make everything seamless from dealing with the insurance company to the rental car company. When I leave my car there, I have peace of mind. I would not take my car anywhere else.
I consistently have excellent service from Bill Rapp for our Subaru vehicles over the past many years. I am greeted by friendly and knowledgeable service professionals and they always are willing to take the time to explain why a repair or service was necessary. I highly recommend them.
My husband Richard and I went to Bill Rapp Subaru for oil/filter change and tire rotation on our new Subaru Outback. We actually bought our Outback at Carbone Subaru in Utica. However, their Express Service was inactive and they couldnt give us a date for this simple service for a full month. Being very disappointed, we decided to check out Bill Rapp in Syracuse to see if we could do better. They told us to come right in - their Express Lane was open and we needed no appointment. We went, drove right in, sat down in a comfortable waiting room for about 20 minutes when a lovely young girl came over to tell us we were ready to go. She checked us out quickly and with a smile. WOW!. Bill Rapp is on our short list for purchase of our next vehicle.
Great service with Brian M sales guy and Brian L sales manager! Worked with my financial situation and were still able to get me a great finance rate and had all my paperwork, plates and car ready super fast. Very knowledgeable, professional, would do business here again! Took the stress out of buying a used car with easy process. Love my new (2017 Forester) car!
Bill Rapp Service Department was able to get my vehicle in for an inspection before a long trip. I dropped off my car early in the morning for the inspection and to get a new battery in the key fob. I didn’t have an appointment, but I left the car with them and had only a short wait before a very nice person gave me a ride back to my home. The service folks called me that my car was ready for pickup around noon. Because I bought my car from Bill Rapp, the key fob battery was still under warranty and the inspection was free. My family and I have been loyal customers since 2012. The Bill Rapp Family treats their customers well, and Subarus are very reliable cars.
Update 9/11/18: I did end up contacting Brian Rapp and we had an exchange of emails going back and forth regarding the A/C. They ended up stopping the exchange after I asked them to reimburse me for the A/C fix from a third party (making good on this situation)Last year(~February 9, 2017), a fawn had run into my driver, front side smashing what you see here (2013 Subaru Impreza that I purchased from here). Maintenance was busy because during that week an ice/snow storm occurred causing a 7 day - delay. As you can see from the picture, the A/C condenser was smashed so they had to replace it and recharge the system. When it was finally fixed, I had started the car up and noticed an odd rattling noise coming from the hood. The A/C compressor clutch was intermittently seizing. Before leaving the lot, I inquired the maintenance manager about this. Their response was that they had to recheck the entire A/C system and hold onto the car for another day. They lent me one of their loaners (why not the entire repair time)? Finally, after two delays, everything was fixed. Their response was that the maintenance technician had IMPROPERLY recharged the A/C. This was during a stressful work period coupled with rotating shift work, needless to say I didnt have much sleep. I told the maintenance manager this was the last time I serviced my car here and that Id never recommend them to family/friends/coworkers. I drove off the lot and within a week the A/C compressor clutch was seizing again, the damage was done. (I was testing the A/C in the middle of winter because of the condenser replacement).Well, after 1 additional summer (2013 impreza), when most A/C compressors last approximately 10 years, it finally gave out. The cost to fix this is approximately $1200. Of course they probably figured it out and saw that it was still functioning for the time being. Why would they assume liability for their maintenance technicians inability to recharge an A/C system?
Ulas was incredibly helpful with my car buying experience. With the new car market right now, actually finding a new car is difficult, but Ulas and the team were very pleasant, helpful, patient and prompt when waiting for me to get the title to car, and go through steps I was not prepared to take with my sudden need for a new vehicle. I highly suggest using Bill Rapp in the future, especially the representative I worked with, and mentioned above.
I had a great experience at Bill Rapp Subaru, especially from the salesman - Ulas. From first showing up, to the test drive, to the deal, and to the car pickup - everything was completed in a professional manner and at no point did I feel uncomfortable during the process. Ulas was very knowledgeable and helpful the entire time. If you are looking for a Subaru I highly recommend Ulas and the sales team at Bill Rapp Subaru.
We cannot say enough about the great experience we had with the Bill Rapp Subaru team!Julie Rotella Moore helped us find the car we wanted in the price range we needed and Sean on the finance team helped us seal the deal!We were treated with respect, kindness and professionalism. It was as though we were the most important people in the room!!We highly recommemd anyone in the market for a new or pre-owned go to Bill Rapp!
** An update to my review. **After posting the review below the owner went out of his way to call me. After some discussion we decided to give them another chance. We bought a car from them last night. The experience was much improved. I am changing my rating because the owner personally became involved and cares. In reading over the other reviews I had hoped for a similar experience as everyone else. Sadly that did not happen. It started out with first contact. I saw they had a text feature on their web site. I thought, good feature, Ill see if I need an appointment to stop by or if my wife and I could just stop by. The first text back was someone asking my name but not answering my question. I then received another text from a different person asking me how I was. Still had not received a response to my question. I then get a phone call from someone. 3 contacts but yet no idea if I needed to schedule an appointment.I finally did schedule an appointment and told the person I was interested in 3 different vehicles. When my wife and I arrived, the salesperson (Dan) was only aware of 1. He was supper nice and was able to get the keys for the other vehicles. He was patient while we looked at each car. We wanted to test drive one but he mentioned that another person was coming in to look at it so we could not test drive that one. It made sense so we did a test drive on a different 2017 model. My wife and I decided as we drove home that we would like to purchase this one and called Dan as soon as we got home. He said that we could come in the next day to draft up the paperwork and he would hold the car for us.We were very excited about it but later in the evening found out that the car had already been sold to someone else. All in all not a pleasant experience.
All of the staff members are incredibly helpful. I don’t know much beyond how to pump gas and check my oil and they were so patient with me when they explained how my car was doing. The best place to get your Subaru serviced. I never worry about being scammed or having the wool pulled over my eyes. Will be going here for as long as I have a Subaru.
This was a top notch experience from start to finish. Brian made our experience effortless and worked hard to be sure that everything was perfect. He helped us order the exact vehicle we were looking for with all of the options we wanted. This was our first brand new vehicle and they made it special. Purchasing a vehicle here, we were treated like family. Brian and Sarah were both there upon pickup and spent a great deal of time going over all the bells and whistles. They made sure we understood everything and were super professional the entire process. I will absolutely be purchasing another Subaru next time around.
I purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback from Bill Rapp. It was an excellent deal, and I am incredibly happy with the car. It was exactly what I wanted. They really went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service during, and after the sale. I would definitely buy from them again. Thank you very much!!!
The service and helpful communication was the best — no pressure, no hype — just friendly, generous spirited service. All my questions were addressed thoroughly and the staff volunteered all the time I needed to make my choice. Skilled at listening, at educating and at clarifying, Rupp employees are a unique culture in the car sales business. What a satisfying experience!
My salesman Brian Milback was amazing! He went above and beyond for me in finding my perfect Subaru Crosstrek Sport. Brian listened and helped me with every question and concern I had throughout the entire purchase process. Can’t say enough how wonderful he and their sales manager Ernie were to me! Thank you again guys!
I loves these folks. Very professional, very friendly. Excellent and surprising services. Did you know they offer shuttle services? Yes they do! Its like a mom and pop shop type feel, but you know they know what theyre doing over there. If you want excellent service or are looking for the perfect ride, this is the place.
Standard oil change, fluids, tire rotation plus check why the tire pressure monitor shows a constant imbalance on one side.Service was quick but no answer to pressure differential and why one tire drops after getting up to temp.Service verified all pressure readings to the monitor, I then personally deflated all four to 30 psi, re-inflated all to 33, but the same right side pressure readings still started w/ a 32 psi reading while the left both started at 31 psi on monitor. We manually rechecked and verified 33 psi despite the monitor readings. And after raising psi by driving at speed, the same (right side) tire reading dropped from 32 to 27, came back to a constant 31 while the other three all gained 1 psi. Very strange and service had no idea why this happens.
We worked with Bryan, who was welcoming and so personable and patient, and then Jay when we moved to Subaru! He made the whole deal fun and easy. The financing was just as easy with Brian. Sarah was the coordinator at pick up and she was so friendly and informative!!!Love the car and would recommend Jay for sure!
Nate from Sales was excellent as well as his colleagues who assisted. Each member of the staff I encountered was warm, pleasant and excited about finding me a car that I will like and feel secure in. They hit the nail on the head with my new baby and I look forward to purchasing from Bill Rapp in the future.
Good shop. Work done properly, completed on time, no “surprises” or upsell efforts. Service desk is welcoming and respectful. Shuttle service is prompt and convenient. I’ve taken my 2017 Outback, bought used elsewhere, to Bill Rapp Subaru service center three times - once for a no-charge fix + éducation on a stuck auto lift gate; once fir maintenance; once to replace a leaking power sunroof - and was satisfied with the work and customer service each time. Based on my experience plus what I’ve read online, I’d recommend them for Subaru service.
Logistics and loner car set up were nice.Assume the recall was conducted properly. However, at the same time needed some muffler work.Prices for parts were quite high in comparison to a little research on line (ie Midas).Only comment from service rep. Those are our prices, talk to the parts department. Like they would say anything different. Not impressed with parts pricing and attitude!
Dennis was amazing and very knowledgeable of the vehicle I purchased. I have no complaints at all. The smoothest process I’ve ever had in a dealership. Dennis and Sean went above and beyond to find me a great deal. Definitely recommend and would come back if I ever need another vehicle.
Top notch service. Simply the best. They were dealing with computer issues the previous day so couldnt replace my thrashed tire. So they had me leave it. They put the replacement tire on & when I returned the next morning they popped the new tire on. Immediately. No waiting. Except that they... WASHED MY CAR TOO!!! Plus the entire staff is friendly, courteous & professional. And Im hard to please. Bill Rapp knows how to treat their customers. A model of service. Thanks so much.
I stopped by because my alert button was on and I thought it might be my tires. Service was great—checked the air in my tires and it turned out I had a nail in one. If I’d filled my tires with air myself, I’d not have caught that. They repaired the tire and I had my car back that night. #SubaruSafe
I have a 2019 Subaru Outback that I purchased through Bill Rapp Subaru. I recently noticed that my passenger side windshield wiper was torn. I went into the parts department to purchase a new set of pier blades. The nice guy at the parts counter asked how many miles on the car. It has about 25k. He said those are covered by warranty. The service and the parts staff hooked me up with a set of brand new wiper blades and installed them for me too! I was impressed!
My first contact with this company was by phone. I spoke with a Chelsea and her kind demeanor and personal attitude was the reason I chose this company. I was a little disappointed to find that I wouldnt actually be meeting her once I got there. The salesman I did work with was very knowledgeable and helpful but he could use some training in friendly from Chelsea. I felt I got a fairly good price (only after the usual rigamarole) but I also felt it could have been a little bit better. The used car I got was impeccable but with no extra enticments. Depending on my future contact with them I may or may not have my car serviced there.

2022-02-23I scheduled routine service with this dealer last weekend (state inspection/oil change)on my 2020 Subaru Ascent. I dropped off car in the morning and received a call 4 hours later stating the inspection was complete and the oil change was almost finished. Upon picking up the car 2 hours after the call was made I was told it was not yet completed so I waited 1/2 hour. The service advisor stated some oil was spilled in the engine bay and the mechanic drove the car around 30 miles to rid it of the oil burning smell. I drove the car with the smell home and I noticed oil dripping in the driveway. After opening the hood, I noticed oil all over the the battery, frame, engine and shields. It was also dripping down the suspension arm and onto the wheel/tire as well as the exhaust to the catalytic converter. I immediately called the dealer and they agreed to have it towed. The dealer did nothing to compensate me for the inconvenience and apparently thought it was OK to drive the car 30 miles on my gas to try to cover the up the problem they caused. This type of experience should not happen with a routine oil change. I would have understood if they just admitted to it from.the start and said they needed the car longer to clean up the oil. However it was blatantly obvious the mechanic/service dept. was trying to cover it up so I wouldnt notice. I got a ride to the dealer again today to pick the car up. Most of the oil is cleaned up but the car still smells like burning oil and smoke can be seen under the hood. I purchased the car new from this dealer and it only has 25K miles on it now. Obviously, this wasnt the Smart Choice.

2022-08-21Im happy with the work done on my car. However, when I arrived, they tried to raise the quote from what I had been quoted when I made the appointment. When I arrived at my appointment they tried to include an additional hour of labor (3 hours rather than the 2 previously quoted). In the end, they finished the job plus an oil change in less than 2 hours total. Clearly 2 hours was more than enough. For the oil change, they also would not honor the price or a coupon from Romano Subaru, which is only 10 minutes away. They have done this in the past, but said it was below cost for them. Obviously not true if their competitor can do it less than 10 minutes away. Lastly, my car did not get the complimentary car wash after all of the work. Not a big deal, but this added to an overall experience where I felt like the work done was fine, but they were trying to move fast, pad profits, and not worry about doing right by the customers.UPDATE: Thank you for your email and phone call to discuss my experience and make it right. Everyone has off days and sometimes mistakes happen. In the end, I was happy with how the Bill Rapp team responded to me and addressed my experiences.

2022-07-21Brian Milback and team were amazing. Brian made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. After hearing stories of other people trying to find cars and dealers marking up prices I was nervous. Brian and the rest of the team at Bill Rapp were up front throughout the whole process and were willing to work with me to make sure I felt comfortable with my purchase. I didnt feel any pressure at all and am thrilled I went to Bill Rapp for my purchase. Brian was also patient and understanding when I had to bring my kids to pick up the car and was even showing my son some of the cool features of the car that he could use and kept an eye on them while we were trying to finish everything up. The finance team was also great as we could have settled on a low interest rate as it was, but they still called around and were able to find an even lower rate. They did a great job explaining the different warranties and coverages they offered and how much it would cost without making me feel pressure to purchase any if it wasnt what I wanted to do. I would highly recommend the team at Bill Rapp to anyone looking to purchase a new Subaru.

2022-08-05Such a great experience buying a vehicle here! I didn’t feel pressured and they gave me a definite fair deal on my trade and a great price on my new car. They were great and easy to work with- up front and honest about all the costs and pricing, as well as the specifics of the vehicle. Not to mention their prices were thousands less than anywhere else I looked for the same vehicle, and this one was certified. It was absolutely worth the drive to shop here and I will absolutely do business with them again!

2022-08-22I just leased my 5th Forester from Bill Rapp. Over the years my husband and I have experience great service and the people have always been professional. This year I wasnt sure if I wanted to buy my car or lease. They never pressured me, just listen to my needs, presented me with all the information I needed to make my decision... and in the end I was happy with my decision. Also over the years the service department has been great. Always serviced my car without any problems.

2022-02-08My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Bill Rapp Subaru. We really did not want to purchase a vehicle, but needed to after having had our car totalled when an 18 yo on his cell t-boned us. I share this to explain what state of mind we were in... That being said, Mr. Anthony Madonna was extremely helpful, patient, and kind throughout the entire process. He was professional and knowledgeable, listened as we explained our needs and concerns, and went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was positive. The way he engaged with us definitely instilled trust. We are grateful. In summary: Highly recommend!

2022-06-23I had an excellent experience at Bill Rapp GMC Superstore not only once but both times I went there to purchase my vehicles. From the time I arrived until the time I left I had exceptional, friendly, professional service. The staff is welcoming, and super attentive. I stated what I was interested in and it was made to happen exactly as they stated it would. I would recommend this store to all my friends and family without a doubt. Thank you Russ Lee, you are super!

2022-08-12Honestly, incredible service. Came in originally looking for a Subaru Forester, however after going through some questions and figuring things out, Julie there showed me a 2019 Buick Encore Preferred and I pretty much fell in love! From there, Bill (one of the managers there) and Julie were very communicative and helpful with finalizing everything up. Down to earth sales environment, and I dont say that lightly. Highly recommend.
