They have had renovations for weeks now and nothing in stock. The place is a complete chaotic mess. I was told it will be until the first of the year. Your members should be compensated for this high inconvenience. I understand you may be trying to step up your game with Costco coming to town. How about getting this together a little quicker? Youre about to lose a member.
This is by far the most poorly run BJs that I have ever been to. I do not know what the management is doing but they are not doing their job. Everything is always a mess. The checkout process is crowded and unorganized. The place seems understaffed and the staff that are working seem disinterested and unhappy. Maybe it is just an Albany NY thing.
Best fastest checkout options un the area. Get in and out fast 👍👍🤩🤩💥💥. Lots of self checkouts. And hand scanners 😃Best Looking but WORST tasting baked goods in the area. Often stale tasting. Dry cakes. Thats my verdict after many years of trying their birthday cakes, deserts, cookies. Several birthday disasters when we got BJs birthday cakes. Everyone found the cakes horrible.
I am so frustrated with the customer service here! My boyfriend and I always do a split payment when we purschase stuff. Well the self checkout machine wont let you, so we had to wait in line for a cashier. Well she continued to mess up the check out she had to cancel it and restart it and then asked if we were tired and laughed in my face because I have a cold and lost my voice and I was trying to explain how we are exhausted with trying to do split payments at this location. Her cashier number is 405266. Because of her I am seriously considering canceling my card and shopping elsewhere. This store has gone downhill !
I joined this BJs today. I was underimpressed.The store, although not dirty, did not appear very clean either. Store was stocked well.The big problem was the deli. There were only a few customers to be waited on. Two staff members behind the counter working. The service was extremely slow, and one staff member could have used a bath.I much prefer Sams.
Very badly managed club... Had a very bad recent experience.... if you are a colored person then they will treat you like a thief ...so watch out.... Good luck if you want to talk to manger ....no Covid related protocols implemented ....Randomly they follow some rules... Never dare to step into their restrooms ...
I usually have a good experience at this BJ’s but was dissappointed today when a deli worker began to prepare my order without changing gloves. This after sweeping the floor. I hope management will educate the staff that gloves are not just for protecting their hands but for protecting the food they serve.
Tire dept is understaffed. Management seems to be unresponsive to need for more staff. Propane sales come first and any tire related service is last behind sales, phone calls, etc. Appts arent saved in their system. So much wasted time waiting for them to rotate tires under their warranty. Not worth buying from them.
I was buying Laromme Challah bread (2 pack) for years from BJs. I bought it yesterday 12/1/20 and cut off a piece. There was a chemical smell. I tasted it and had to spit it out. It has a strong chemical taste. Threw it all in the garbage. I will never buy it again. Tried to call BJs to let them know; but, no one answers the phone
Good place to stock up your pantry. Sometimes items are in the place you would think they should be. Reynolds wrap is a little expensive. Sometimes you only need two, but you have to buy more because how it is packaged. I would suggest more check out lanes open at the end of the evening. Staff are very helpful and always seem to know where items are located. There is also a new item out called oak milk. I would like to see bjs carry it. Thanks
Grocery shopping is a chore, and you surely could make it more pleasant if you offered maps of the store. At times we go in circles trying to find what we need. That said, we shop there due to your excellent buys, and the personnel are among the friendliest. Thanks for asking.
Had received open items on multiple occasions, Once it was rotten fruits and the other times different items, one example is of a ripped oil container seal from a 5Qt Oil container which caused oil leak in back of my truck thereby creating a mess on the floor. Tried calling the member services several times, but no one picks up the call. Their customer service is also not up to the mark.
NO TO TIRES---- dont buy tires here!!!! Understaffed installation. 1 person who does desk, sales, installations, fix flats. Call them and ask before you buy if you dont believe it.. I cant believe 1.5 hour minimum. And, Sams club has better deal and aims for less than 1 hour install. Staffed properly. Most places will match the deal, so bjs is not a good choice for tires. AGGRAVATION AND DISAPPOINTMENT IS WHAT YOU WILL WALK AWAY WITH. I bought 3 sets of tires and cant wait to never have to deal with the 30 day wait for rotation that will leave you sitting for hours frustrated!!!
My experience has always been great shopping at BJs in Albany. I only have one sincere compliant.Recently, I rejoined BJs in Albany with a coupon out of the Sunday newspaper. The SPECIAL SAID - jOIN AT A SPECIFIC PRICE AND RECEIVE A $50. 00 GIFTCARD REDEEMABLE AT OF COURSE CERTAIN RESTAURANTS.... It is a terrible false advisement and a scam. 1st of all there isnt a good restaurant on there. 2nd you must spend a min. of $50.00 and the sight tells you how much of the card is redeemable like most of them say $10.00 or less - what a terrible thing to lure people in. Surprise at BJs and disappointed. Have been a member for year. Shame!

2022-02-02This BJs location in Albany New York is a horrible location to do business with. This location is falling apart and has absolutely no management. I understand that we are in a national crisis of individuals not wanting to work. The employees they do have lack the definition of work ethic.I have attempted several times to place and order and have it brought to my car. Every time I do this either a few things are missing or half of my order. I was absolutely speechless when you call and explain when you get home you are missing half of your order. I had an order the other day that they brought out to my car and the car next to me was also waiting for their order. The order they attempted to give me was not even my order it was the car next to me, and than the individual argued with me in regards to that is what I ordered.Than I called the customer service line the other day to see if my gas rewards could be extended, and I was told yes no problem at all. Today I was told they can not do that.I think this entire company is a hot mess and someone really needs to step up to the plate and figure it out.

2022-05-19Thus store just keeps getting worse!!Prices are ridiculous for example 2-18 packs of eggs was 5.49 now 10.99!!! Same 9s $8 at Walmart. Deli never has pre-sliced meat and cheese anymore and the rotisserie chickens are rarely out before 9:30am. Only 1 person waiting on customers and 1 person doing orders and chickens. The workers cut in front of customers and many act annoyed when they have a real person checkout open. Cant wait for COSTCO!! Wont be renewing my BJs membership!!

2022-04-18Update....Sill the same. Ive complained and no one cares. Im standing in line for the last 20 minutes and still waiting to pay for 3 items because I am paying cash. Cant wait for Costco to come.Im so tired of being penalized for paying cash. I have 3 items and have to wait behind 3 people with completely packed carts and the line behind me is now to the back of the store. The cashiers and managers are less than friendly. So sick of this place.

2021-12-30This location is very poorly managed. They oversell their memberships and the store is a Covid nightmare. You wait in line to get gas, you wait in line to get deli meat, you wait in line to get cashed out, and finally you wait in line to exit the building. Crowds of people aimlessly wondering around blocking everything. Store pickup is another fail - online inventory is never accurate and several items from every order are canceled (sometimes without notification) so you will have to enter the store anyway! The staff is completely aloof and disconnected. It’s a complete farce.

2021-10-21Went to Bjs shortly after they opened. Wanted Deli items. Two staff behind the counter. I greeted one and she looked at me. I stood there for another 5 minutes as the only person wanting fresh deli items. Both employees were slicing away. She finally told me that she was filling pre purchased to go orders and that she couldnt wait on me. Hmmmmm....Im pretty sure its your job to wait on customers and slice orders. I had to purchase the pre packaged deli meat instead of getting it freshly cut. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the customer service here.

2021-11-18The woman who name’s Deb is the Ugly one in this club.also the manager guy. I can believe how they take care the members who spent at least $50000 dollars.can’t wait for the Costco open.when it happen I will be the first one to cancel my membership.Because I don’t see this two people in my life anymore!!!

2021-05-13Total chaos in the store, even though they finished renovations, still cant find anything and when you ask workers, most dont know or dont care.They moved mostly to all self-checkouts, only 1 live person checkout lane (always long wait). All the hand scanners have been removed from self-checkouts (told because the store has large shrinkage (thief)), but still have the same people checking you out at the door, (they dont check carts, unless your colored).Because I have a herniated disks, I cant really lift everything on the belts, so the hand scanners were a big plus, now I have to wait 5-10 mins to have a worker scan all my stuff, and still have the person NOT check my cart on the way out.Costco cant come any sooner...please

2021-05-23I was in need of an item that the BJ’s app said the store had, but was not in the isle. I asked Devon for help and he walked me to the isle and started looking. He used his hand held to look up the item in the inventory. He saw that they had them and began searching each isle for them. I ended up moving on and as I was about to check out, Devon showed up and handed me the item I had been looking for. I was very appreciative of how he went out of his way to make sure I received what I was looking for and didn’t stop looking until he found it.You the man Devon. Give that man a raise, he’s one of the good ones.
