BJs Wholesale Club in other cities:
I had a bad experience today I went to go buy my groceries and the person who was working at the cash register. Left me standing waiting at the register. And because she never came back I had to leave behind one of the items I was there to get. Due to the fact that she never returned to help me scan the iteam..
Good wholesale store. Wesley farm is BJs brand. This is very good brand. A lot of good stuff you can find there. This place also good for people who dont have a car. You can get here by public transportation. And if you have children you can spend time at amusement park close to the store. Or can take small walk in BJs park. This park has incredible view of Verrazano bridge.
We went to BJs once again for a custom cake. What a beautiful job the cage designer did. See attachedOrdered a birthday cake for my mothers 80th surprise party and the cake display was beautiful, just as we designed it. Kudos bakery. Today my wife and I went to BJs and seen a marvelous display of a chopper/slicer and was amazed at how this product actually worked. The chopper is called EZ Pro Chopper which includs a slicing kit. The set sells for $78.00, but today, Mitch, the creator and sales person sold it to consumers for $30.00. If you get a chance to catch him at another BJs in other states, I suggest you purchase one.BJs is also a good store for bulk shopping if you shop smart.
One way in & one way out of such an enormous facility add to that 8 out of 10 times @ least 1 of the elevators are broken now for the icing on the cake inside wall to wall registers the problem is most of them have no cashiers behind them !!! @ times the lines can go into the isles . Penny wise dollar foolish . If cooperate could just see how many people get so frustrated waiting those long lines & walk out leaving wagons full of groceries & how much money is walking out the door of customers who will now shop elsewhere . Im sure something would be done to correct this problem ...
The store and products are fine. The customer service at this location is sad...almost funny. We arrived to find that there were no carts anywhere in or around the store. They were all towards the back of the parking garage. See attached picture. Then when we were ringing up, an item wasnt ringing up at all. The code wouldnt work. The cashier turned to me and told me It wont ring up. Then she stared at me as if I knew the code. It took 4 different people to find out what the code was. She definitely kept trying to get me to leave and not buy it. As if it was impossible to buy it. Very strange system for selling things. Then as we left the lady checking our receipt at the door never looked up from her phone. She just held her hand out and grabbed it when we put it in her hand, marked it, and held it out...still eyes on phone. We could have walked out with anything at that point. Interesting way of running a store. Next BJs trip, I will travel a little further and cross my fingers that the other BJs has it together.
The cashier 366251 04/03/22 08:41pm gave me a bad time, I feel very disappointed in the costumer service that bjs provides to its customers, the cashier threw away the strawberries and told me to go get others, I asked her what if someone else could bring them to me and he said no and I had to go get others and he didnt even apologize for what happened
I tried calling This particular Bjs several times, NOONE picked up and this was done during business hours!, Such poor poor representives of Bjs, Someone from corporate seriously needs to investigate this Bjs, and begin to add a whole new staff!, Terrible Customer Service, make me want to cancel my membership and go to Cosco!
Just tried calling to check on the availability of an item. not ONE department picked up the phone. Cant believe there isnt a single person working inside this godforsaken warehouse store who wants to pick up the phone and help a customer out. You guys have lost my business. Thanks for nothing berkeley and jensen.
This is an urban wholesale club, with parking and a large park.Pro:1.Close to highway.Con:1. No EV charging station is such a large parking lot. Not sure how it meets building code when the building was filed.2. Theres always a long line to get into the parking lot because the first floor parking drive way is very narrow and does not allow the car to drive by if another car is backing out of the spot. Not a good parking design.3. The second floor and third floor parking is always empty.4. The cost of the goods tend to be more expensive comparing to Costco.
This place is a good place to buy stuff! I buy from here all the time! There is good staff and the place is very clean! I would give this 5 stars but there is a problem, there is tiny mice that run around. Ive been seeing brown and gray mice running around looking for food. I know that the staff are fixing the problem because there is small mouse traps that are hidden so no one will get hurt while shopping! This is a good place to buy items! There is also a little place that you can walk around in! There is grass over there and some tables to see the ocean! This is a great place to buy items and to look at the ocean!
Great place to buy groceries at good prices. Club is clean and usually not too crowded. However, don’t try the In store pickup option. In this location, it integrates in to the customer service desk which takes forever. I got stuck on the online pickup process for 20 minutes. Absolutely horrible.
NEVER EVER EVER buy cellophane packaged raw fish at this place. Its often rotten and not fresh.Looks like people are sleeping after Thanksgiving. Went to get some cheese at the deli section. Ordered one pound of Lacey Swiss. The girl wanted to give me regular Swiss. I had to correct her. Then, as she was cutting, she checked her text on the phone. I asked her to change her gloves.Because we all know where else she took that phone. Then she weighted .62 lbs and folded it like it was her first time. No care is given at all. I just left it there, and left. I know its probably subs, but come on. Some dignified service would be much appreciated. Also, get the shopping cards out of the Ocean
AVOID these cashiers: Kim and Maileen at all cost! Theyre extremely nasty and treat customers with horrible attitude.Bjs should be serious about training their staffs properly and how to deal with customers professionally in a respectful manner. Customers pay to shop at your place and we DONT deserve such inconvenience and unacceptable attitude.
Last week I wrote a negative review about BJ’s. I would like to update it, my poor review was for the website BJ’s.com.Ultimately I went to the store to buy what I needed, the help that I received was second to none! Everyone was very helpful and polite. From the ladies that located my item, to the gentlemen that helped me load it in my car.
Im a weekly shopper and for the most part service and selection is great. During my trip today I found analmost dead plant that I offered to buy at a discount but the manager wouldnt let me. She said it wasnt good enough to sell and she would find me a better one. She said she was going to throw away the one I picked out and I asked her what seems like a reasonable price but she still refused. Im sure she was just doing her job but a little money is better than no money. She was going to throw it out anyways! That poor plant couldve had a nice home and a chance to thrive but no: (Im not happy about it.
Large store with huge selection. Almost always its neat and organized. Very hard to find someone to help you find something.Needed to pick up my glasses from the optics section but they closed earlier than their hours.Parking is spacious, although the sign outside of which level is full is almost always inaccurate. There is a large intersection right in front of the entrance where the road is sunk and is very dangerous to drive through especially after rain. Not sure why management is not taking this issue seriously.
Customer service (member services) takes very long in the store, and absolutely impossible to get through by phone. Difficult to drive in, because everybody tries to park on the ground level (don’t ask me why), while second level parking is practically empty. Other than that it’s ok.
This location is much less crowded (except on weekends) than the other Brooklyn BJ locations. Four stars however because although its not too crowded, the lines at checkout are way too long. Sometimes theres only two full service checkout lines available and the wait can be over 15 minutes long. The store is clean and the staff is helpful and courteous. The management does a fine job when there are issues. Returns are a breeze. Parking is plentiful but can be a pain when only one elevator is working.
Good prices, good value, great inventory but I have to deduct one star because of the recent trend to automate the checkout process. I dont like to self checkout, I prefer a live person to handle the checkout, I feel the automated process is hurting American jobs. IMHO.
Great shopping experience.Good samples...(theyre supposed to get you to buy the product because you get hungry by eating the samples...but whatever)Good pricesCoupons are kind of a gimmick but they do provide savingsGood staffingLong lines for (self) checkouts but the whole process is interesting...
More parking, more variety than Costco, and they dont upsell to the executive membership plans when you are waiting to pay, but thats about it. Their mini fast food area isnt always open (especially on weekdays). Their prices are at best comparable but often 10 - 25% more than Costco. They have huge selection for junk food but maybe one other choice for healthy foods. The coupon clipping will drive you insane.
ITEMS CANNOT BE RETURNED UNTIL THE PANDEMIC IS OVER!! As told to me by polite and apologetic store associate at Shore Parkway. So, when exactly will the pandemic be over? With the exception of clothes and electronics, nothing can be returned! So, clothes, that was possibly worn, with body fluids, will be accepted? But an item like a plug in air scent wont? 🤔 Dont try asking what category your item falls into based on signs posted, or what untrained or misinformed employees tell you. Hold on to it until the pandemic is over!
Consistently understaffed at the registers, out of 26 Registers, usually only 9 are open and the 1st one is always express only! Thats less than half the registers available!! Sadly, management should be faulted. Sometimes when there are sales, the items arent even available! Store selections are good. Parking lot crowds up quickly and the slobs that park here consistently throw trash all over the lot and in the carts, seldom have I seen it clean! Also, last 2 times I purchased a Rotisserie chicken it was undercooked! Does Corporate even care? Oh yeah, they dont because BJS was recently sold off to a private equity so its THEIR problem now! Unfortunately, Costco seems to have a leg up on this place!
So, I ordered catering 2 -3 foot Hero Subs, it was delicious and a great hit . Prices are cheaper than other places I order from, but you don’t get condiments, pickles, or a type of macaroni like other places I’ve ordered from or plates and cutlery. Bakery Staff is friendly and professional. Great customer service. You need one day advance notice and of course a Bjs membership
While they are at a convenient location and have great view on 3rd floor parking lot, they suck. Always long line and lack opening of registers. Out of basic items quite often too. As well as not many choices. Some stuff are actually more expensive than places like target. The picture is of a lady that cut in front of the line when everyone is waiting, and when confronted she gave you that look which I got a snap shot of. If everyone is politely waiting in line, please do so also. Our time is just as precious as yours.
BJs will always be second to Costco. You never know what stock they will have on hand when you go there. Ive had few times turned around and left the store because I wasnt gonna stand in line for few items that they had in stock. Never done it in Costco. The only reason for 3 stars and me coming back there is because they have better supply of organic veggies, but not so much organic chicken and location happens to be closer.
Good place to shop, you will get really good price drops on quality clothes. For example, Calvin Klein t shirt with original price of 60$ can be bought for 19$Moreover they have a very good selection of homemade style cookies and pastry. Furthermore they always drop first time fee for club card to 25$ )))
Used to come here bi-monthly for necessities such as cat food, paper towels, etc. needed to pick up my membership cards for my wife and I for a new year with this business. Approached an employee at the Customer Service desk at 5:45 P.M who said her printer was off and she couldn’t do anything I informed her that she should print the cards she reluctantly abliged.. then it came to pick up my wife’s card who’s under my membership and was informed that I, her husband couldn’t pick up my own wife’s membership card!??? I’m sorry when did a clerk decide these polices? I’ve been a yearly member and so close to calling the manager for such poor lack of customer service skills. It’s so sad that the customers have to tell the employee at the customer service desk to do their job the right way.
I called for assistance at BJs (Bensenhust location) as I was having trouble placing my order on BJs.com for shipment. My telephone number according to them was unacceptable. (Note: Ive had it for over 5yrs). After 3 or 4 attempts in placing my order, I called BJs direct. After waiting a while, I got a recording to hold on for a representative. I did, the music ran out and all I heard was a ringing telephone for another 5 or more minutes. I guess my business isnt needed.
Everyday prices are typically lower than other stores. But sale price in other stores are usually cheaper, IF you can and are willing to wait and shop all around which is not usually practically possible. Also you need to buy large quantities which is OK for family shopping. Store is very big and has lots of stuff but brands are limited and prices of items are many times hard to spot or missing! They have coupon books but hard to search for items you need. Quality of products is usually good. Help with information about products is usually impossible to get, so be knowledgeable in advance of what you are buying. They charge a yearly membership fee but you can come with friend that has one or use limited time FREE invite they usually send out for last 3 mouths of every calander year.
Bjs store located in very convenient distance from my home. So we have memberships since they have opened. We do shopping with them regularly every two weeks.First I was disappointed when noticed dirty and in some kind broken elevators. Something wrong with their doors. They opened slowly and with ugly noise. Every time I’m very scary to use it. What is interesting nothing changed for today’s. Also a lot of frustrated shopping cartsthroughout the parking area. But when you come inside into the store( that area, where supposed shopping carts to be- is empty) and I have to come back and grab cart from the parking. We have a little kid, he loves to pretend that he is driver, when we do shopping with special shopping cart designed with a toy car in a front. Bjs has only few of them. And every time we come, these carts becomes more and more in horrible condition. Finally, instead to change for a new ones they disappear in general. But all that complaints above are nothing in comparison our yesterday’s experience. As usual no shopping carts in the designated area. Big unpleasant surprise was later, at the checkout. Bjs changed human cashiers for a self service machines. We stayed in a line for 40 minutes, although we were second in a line!!!!!! What I noticed waisted my time in a line????? That every customer asked for help during scanning products on every second item. That’s why checkout lines becomes longer and longer. Surely it was two or three lines with a real cashier, but it is not enough for that amount of customers. Bj’s wants to save money not paying salaries for cashiers, but with that service they will lose a lot of customers at all. As a result they can going off business.I am thinking to stop shopping in Bj’s if they wouldn’t return real cashier at the checkout and resolve another issues described above
Just like anywhere you have to know and have the coupons you want to use, the shopping is pretty easy and organized. On the other hand the checkout is horrible. They rush you, you have to have ypur coupons out and ready, they usually have only 2 or 3 checkout lanes open so it takes forever, especially when people ahead of you have 100 + things in their shopping cart. All of the staff is courteous but not very knowledgeable except for a few cashiers. There are several cashiers that have very big attitude problems, they rush you, and give you lip if youre not quick enough. It was so bad one time last month the cashier actually told me to get out of my space because I was trying to look at the monitor to make sure the prices were correct and that the coupons came off. Going in shopping is fine but 75% of the time I leave with a very bad taste in my mouth and anxious (depending on which cashier I had that time). Overall good store, but cashiers need to be retrained in customer service considering THAT IS WHAT THEY DO, ITS THEIR JOB!
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The member services counter tries very hard not to help. I tried using a coupon they mailed me and was told they needed the entire coupon card which it does not say on the card when you get it. Also, it has the dotted lines to cut out which makes even less sense. Instead of making some attempt to help me, the service desk was very quick to tell me I couldnt use it. The explanation they offered made no sense whatsoever. Also, the first girl I spoke with had no problem accepting my coupon, however, when another employee saw it she told me I couldnt use it. Why doesnt everyone know? I also have a very hard time believing this could not handled. I am not a member and will be happy not to give my business to this store.
The place is good but the staff there is terrible. Rude staff. One of the sales lady that was promoting the pierogies was listening to music and reading some stuff. Not even trying to sell them. My boyfriend tried to get her attention but she ignore my boyfriend. She even gave him a dirty like he was bothering her. When she should be selling it and thats her job is to sell. Even if she was trying to go home or something she should still try to promote the product.
Location is fantastic. Its great not having to drive further, and into East New York to shop at their wholesale store. That being said..... its the WORST when it comes to checking out. The lines are obscene, management never expedites anything. Ive waited close to one hour on line there for just a handful of items. No express line to be found, and maintained. Half of the registers are always closed. Always. I have never waited less than 20 minutes on line here. Ugh.
Extremely disappointed these past months. Every sale item that I have tried to purchase is never on shelf. Sale over...item on shelf. REALLY!!! Come on now. Based on conversations with other customers all feel the same. Also Bring something to read on line for checkout. U will b there for a while. Doesnt matter what day or time u go.
Check out lines are too long. They only have 2 lanes open with cashiers, and 10 self check out lanes Not sure how they are saving money, God knows how many people dont scan half their stuff. Also all 3 elevators in parking garage are broken. Last month 2 were broken. Not sure why they are so lazy to fix them???
The great place for variety of organic meat, greens, fruits and veggies. Almost same choice as at StopNshop but much better prices. And a way less crowdy and cleaner then Costco.Much closer than Costco, great place for quick shopping as at regular grocery store with no parking or cashier line nightmare. Usually equal brands are cheaper at Costco, but BJs has better variety choice so treat it as a good addition rather full replacement to the first one.It worth to mention parking lot itself. Its really huge, convenient and has a beautiful bay view. I never seen it used more than a half capacity, even on weekend. The problem is selfish people. I dont personally mind going 2 levels up but there were so many times when lazy dudes blocked the entrance and made famous Costco-style parking mess. The second issue is related to the lack of customers culture again. If you shop in the evening, be prepared to meet a mess in fruits and berries department, cracked boxes, smashed strawberries and stolen tomato from every box.
Five stars! always BJs delivers on their products and always carry the same items although some prices might be higher then Costco, theyre always consistent with the products BJs feel more as a supermarket. So I always prefer BJs over costco, Costco is more of new item promoting. Although the registers can be more efficient when busy.
5/24/2018. The manager of this store should be fired. Only 4 regular lanes and every other lanes are self check waiting time is more than 30 minutes canceling my membership as soon as I checked out. How many people actually goes to a whole sale store and buy less than 15 items?!Line held at register for a long time at counter 4 and 3, 9/21/2017. Shopppng cart not at front door. Only one person working at member services.
Its okay product-wise, but recently there are SO MANY MICE running around that there are now babies. I asked a cashier if they had traps and she said, To buy? No...you have MICE. And she was just all shoulders like, Were by the water. Yeah, thats why you take preventative measures by keeping the place clean and setting traps. You guys sell food and mice spread diseases you know. Golly, Ill loan you my cat overnight. Put a vest on him and give him something to do. Hell clean that place up in no time. Eep.
This place has and is becoming better than costco. I drive about 30 minutes away to find variety and great selection of food and products. The coupon system is different than costco where you need the coupon most of the time but lately some products now come with clip less coupons where its taken off already. I like how there is three floors of parking and and elevator access. The staff is friendly and I stopped going to the 39st Costco due to some products lacking freshness and well i feel like since.they have money now they would worry less about the.consumer but you be the judge overall im happy.
REVISED AS OF 11/12/19: I updated my review after a manager named Dawn called me about my recent complaint to BJs corporate office about a consistent problem with employees at this location. She was empathetic, listened to my concerns, apologized for the experiences and addressed how she was going to follow up with her team. Very professional and kind. Decided to give the location another chance and two more stars based on Dawns call.ORIGINAL POST: Horrible customer service! Consistently the rudest employees who take pleasure in harassing customers and giving them the worst service. Parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of and elevators are usually out of service or ridiculously slow.
Just went there this morning at about 9:15am and to my surprise it was very empty. Thank god because the lines that for can be a 20 min wait. Everything was fully stocked. Alot of the isle were dirty but that can be from not cleaning the entire store yet for the day. I was able to get my things and be back in the parking lot in 15 minutes. Thats unheard of...lol
Great variety of foods, produce, etc. Nearing the holidays it does get a bit packed and lines get super long. One thing for sure is that it gets super cold by the produce section no matter the season lol, at times it gets a bit messy and all but other than that its a good spot to shop in bulk!
Great location and closer than costco. Less variety than costco store but perfect for quick shopping visit. Parking has three levels, usually go to the top, barely any cars there. Parking on street level could be a hassle during busy times. Decent selection of fruits, veggies, some healthy items too, plenty of frozen foods. Pet food, littler, car synthetic oil, water huge packs, picnic plates, cups, utensils. Lines get long but never had an issue, always see express line but sometimes it is the longest line :)
The reason am giving 1 star is because their deli workers are extremely slow. Like... ridiculously slow. They keep talking to eachother and stop in the middle to the order to keep talking while people are waiting. We are talking 3 costumers for crying out loud. 40 mins to serve 3 costumers. What I do now is go straight to the deli. And grab a ticket. Then go do my shopping and then come back to the deli.Even when I do that I still have to wait. Terrible. They need to get new workers
Pretty good deals when you buy in bundles. Can almost find anything here. Sometimes they dont have enough workers here and that leads to angry customers and long lines at the register. So be prepared to wait to check out. Staffs are sometimes friendly and helpful. Overall not bad but also not good either.
It was ok except when you go this late near closing and you park on the 2nd level you encounter guys drag racing and hanging out. They didnt bother me but I felt like I was going to be robbed. Other than that it is a good experience staff is good no problem finding stuff. Store hours way better than Costcos
I love Bjs & the products thay they carry, but this location is by far the worst i have been to. None of the same type of items are in the same location, the store organization makes no sense, the staff dont know where things are or send you on a wild goose chase when you ask for help, produce isnt fresh, packaged perishables have exeration dates months away but in a matter of days starts to go moldy or spoil, the coupons they have for that location are great but they dont have the products in stock, you have to fight to get a shopping cart, they will have lines going all the way across the store yet only 3 registers are open. The only positive thing i can say is about the parking. There are always lots of parking spots if you dont go at thier peak traffic times, some even covered which is nice on a rainy day.
Don’t forget to order your #cakes here. I get cakes for many of our little fun gatherings. I enjoy putting personal art or photo art on the cake See my photos. There will be more coming. “Celebration of marriages” to celebrate what God has yoked together, let no man separate. The words of wisdom cake was to celebrate our older gray headed friends and get some wisdom from them. The “out of the mouth of babes” cake was used in our gathering to have the youngest among us share their favorite bible character or scripture. The courage cake was made for one of our “Be Courageous” conventions. The cake helps us remember the events and BJs has been very helpful with delicious cake and helpful staff.
Today, my family was at your Bensonhurst location (1752 Shore Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11214) and had the worse shopping experience ever. My dad went to get a rotisserie chicken and was told to come back in 30mins as they were cooking. We waited and came back to the server after 30 minute. However, at this time, there was an individual who was clearly agigtated and shouting things so we let him skip ahead of us since we didnt want to be involved with him in anyway as he was clearly an angry person. After that individual got his chicken, he opened it up (which Im sure is against store policy as it is clearly a dept of health issue) and was not happy with it. He immediately came over to my dad to try to take his chicken from him. He started to yell at my family, got very agigtated and abusive. He tried to start a fight and kept harassing my dad who did not want to be involved with this individual. That individual was also yelling at your store clerks and the whole time, none of your employees called security or the police. They ignored him while he may a scene, tried to steal from my dad and threaten violence. It wasnt until my mother shouted out for him to leave us alone and to draw attention from other shoppers that the person left. Im appalled that no one from your store helped or even call security or police. This could have ended very badly for my elderly parents had he gotten the chance to actually attack them if my mother had not scaraed him off by screaming. I really can not believe that you would let unruly customers behave like that and also that you would not protect other customers against people like him. Would advise to stay away until they actually start having security at the store and workers who care about customer safety.
Dear manager, I disturb you about the spoiled products that are on your shelves. Today, July 20, I went shopping and bought kerrygold reserve cheddar cheese, it was all spoiled. Tell me how to understand this? I live on 2746 Ford st, I could not go back to show you. For years we have been your customers and have never come across such a disgrace. I’m very sad, I always trusted you and didn’t doubt the quality of the product. Please take action.
If you live in the South Brooklyn area and need stuff in bulk, this is the place. The reason I like this place is because theres no long lines even on the weekends and early evenings. I always gripe about wholesale clubs because it seems so packed with people but this one is really calm and quiet. Hopefully it stays like that for the many years to come. The food court itself has a lot of seating compared to the BJs in Gateway Drive and the staff in general is a lot more friendlier. The only problems this place has is parking which is a really small/poorly designed 3 story parking lot and that its in a area where its hard to notice and get to.
Let me tell you...this place is awesome!!! I went there for a specific item that they had on sale. The other stores ran out of it and this store had a few left. When I got there they did not have what I was looking for on the floor so I asked this young man, I believe his name was Dominic(I hope I am getting it right). This young man went out of his way to find what I was looking for. They found it and helped us put them in my car. Its a great place and very helpful.
This was the last time !!!!!!!!!!Rude and very unprofessional management !!!!!!The manager John C looked like he was scared of his crew. Couldnt open up his mouth to overcome his out of control employee, who was cursing and threatening me. Ive been coming to this location since they opened up, ignoring constant shortage of staff, overcrowded parking lot and rude personal. Not to mention, that they were so in the hurry to close the store, that while I was in the aisle looking at something they literally stole my cart full of shopping and made a huge seen after I asked to give it back.Any how, this is the worst shopping experience at BJS.
Terrible experience today waiting 20 minutes in line to check out as they had only 4 cash registers open out of over 20! of course they managed to staff 4 people at the doors to make sure you dont walk out with merchandise. Shows you how much they care about customer service.Hey Bjs next time you want to shut down 80% of your registers, why dont you as well shut down 80% of your shopping isles???!!
They only had mens shaving cream, not womens. They didnt have my favorite toothpaste Crest Complete.I was very disappointed they left 3-4 registers with an actual human, they installed a bunch of self check out kiosks which caused many people to lose their jobs 👎not cool at allAnd they didnt offer any new products the way BJs usually used to.
Dispointing, I was extrimly satisfied in my previous visits,But unfurtunatly today the person who supposed to be helping the clients on the self- check line was very rude treated me with an attitude and far away from any professinalsimLed me to leave BJS leaving my goods deciding not to complete my shopping. With my heart conditionsAnd my age I dont need to spend my money and get agrivigated.I love BJS, I love to shop there , Im postponing my visit for another day, hopping I wont encounter such employee attitude.
Once again the store is well stocked and clean everyone is working hard. But check out time is the worst almost all the time but today was the worst only 8 out of 26 registers where open on the weekend before thanksgiving sad just the worst. Iook at management not the employee. Management needs a shake up .
Called up the store to find out if the coffee grinder is fixed . I won’t buy coffee beans unless the store has the grinder. They said they have a working grinder so I traveled to Bklyn. When I got there the grinder was out of order. So now I will not renew my membership and stick to shopping at Costco.
I’ve been going to this BJs only for the convenience to my house; it’s close and they are open late. The last time I was there I saw a mouse and bought yogurt that was expiring within the week. Went again a couple days ago and bought Arepas and they were spoiled. I never would have known the arepas were spoiled because it was under the label. On top of the issues with the food you can tell the staff clearly don’t want to be there. I’ll be making the trip to Costco in Long Island from now on.
Theres something here you probably dont know. If you walk through the parking lot and come out of the back you going to find a newly constructed park with seating and tables only few feet from the water. If not for this park Id give this place one star because of the lines and because food tastes like plastic.
The worst place in the world with full of thieves and racist people working there. Went there to get membership and they gave me coupon book and I went to shopping some how someone stole my coupon book from my cart while I wasnt looking at it and went to member services to ask for another one and she said we dont have anymore I said ok but then I saw they are giving away coupon books again to other people so I asked for the manager and she said we dont have it anymore and I told her that they giving it away to others and she asked wether if I am Muslim because I have beard and I said yes and she said you guys are all same, I was shocked by what she said and she continues to me in separate place than others that all muslims and Russian and Chinese all same. She continues that we abuse the store and lot and steal and she made me thieve. I will never allow anyone I know to this place. Racist and people with very bad attitude.
1.Cashiers are working extremely SLOW...If its 5 people in the line with not even fully loaded shopping carts its going to last forever until your turn comes...2.You have to clip those coupons from the booklet which is annoying and reminds you war times you probably see in the movies, when poor people waited in long lines with coupons on their hands to get some food.3. Ground floor parking lot is very DARK even during the day. Its very hard to see cars or peoples behind your car.
This bjs is very nice inside they dont alway have enough in stock on everything I used to go in the afternoon to midday now I go in the morning time.the way bjs set up the self Registered was a great idea and also the dd in the bjs is a great idea ..The only thing Ill say that is hell is the parking lot mainly the ground floor level omg its the worst. There are three levels Garage and ppl love only to stay on the first level. I mean dont get me wrong bjs does have elevator. But if u go there u dont know if and when the elevator are working or not. but if 2 out of 3,or if only one elevator is only working ppl stay only to the ground floor level and there is only one way in and one exit out of the garage which can get crowded and Congested at times a lot. Yes bjs does get the elevator ppl over to fix the elevator but still the damage is done ..overall the bjs is cleaned and well Maintenance place to shop at and yes when its well stock the food and everything else is great ..
This is not my most convenient BJs location, but Ive gone here a few times. Each time the lines are excruciatingly long. I dont expect much from cashiers, but they seem to do their jobs very slowly. Also, they dont have some of the same products that other locations have.
BJS is the one stop shopping for most all your shopping needs. I actually purchased a 3 tier shelf, cold cuts, fresh fruit and some seafood..and yes found UNICORN POP TARTS...hehehe. (okay, so what yes Im a big kid..if you have read a previous post from this reviewer I take pride in that ..lol) but back to the subject at hand.. you will be able to get new eyeglasses, furniture, computers, flat screens, clothing, food, and even bakery items (their cakes are great for any occasion) at this bulk store. Membership is a requirement but it more than pays for itself after a couple of visits. and if you need a nosh or a pick me up they have a Dunkin in there too. Go enjoy!
What a poor location. Its on a one way service road to the Belt Parkway and just past Caesars Bay, on the weekend its a traffic NIGHTMARE!Then when you finally get there, there is inside parking down another one way street. I just gave up after 45 min of just trying to get in the place and trying to find parking. This should never have been built here.
Terrible service, rude people with attitudeswalked out as I spend my money where service is king. BJS service leaves much to be desired. customer service Anna needs to take a lesson dealing with people.I have cancelled my membership because of the lack of customer service stupid swine
Hit my head on angled parking lot concrete post. ..tbiPark line needs to be eliminated. .store clerk present, walked me to car.Left side where hit on head feels numb. .hopefully I wont go into a comaSenior: -(PS: Costcos registers by default coupons deductions vsBJ. .time@ register looking for coupons. .cost ineffective
I really love this store the staff is very friendly they always welcome you and you can find any and everything u need here family oriented as well which i love they also have organic foods and a park down the block for kids to play hey i think its cool i just love bjs
BJs on Shore Parkway in Brooklyn has now almost eliminated all cashiers and made all but one checkout line self-service. When youre purchasing a large amount and have to stop every minute or so to move items off the conveyor belt to your cart everything slows down considerably. BJs, please go back to staffing the checkout lines!
This lady behind the counter that signs people up for cards and what not , literally said to me what do you need when it was my turn to talk to them. So rude and unpolite . The lady was white, blonde , middle age with a pony tail. She was mad at me for being in the line . That is no way to talk to anybody unprovoked .
This store is so crazy badly store, no respect to the customers. And they are not open in a regular times. They have to open in a 9 am but they didn’t open it in a time, we are all customers were waiting in outside about 1 more hour. That is stupid. Outside was crazy cold, I was there with my kid.
NYPD officer is on BJ door any wrong transaction or missed item by bj cashier will cause shoplifting charge immediatly. We have to buy membership whilests the item costs are not reasonable.Useless.NYPD value & moral is to be too high, feelt bad for NYPD working for BJS as security guard.
I bought Organic chicken 2 days ago ... when I come home today I thought something Died .... When I open my fridge I cant believe that this chicken was desolved in its own pack ....Horrible Smell and Experience.!!!I called to the BJs , and wait for 47 minutes on hold to talk to someone... but no luck ...
They do not have meany things you look on line and then you go there and they dont have it they tell you that you can order it on line if i wanted to order it on line i would but i wanted it today its not even worth the free membership that they give you i think i will go to costo next time i would be better off

2021-10-09I have been coming to this BJs for a number of years to pick up supplies in bulk. This place is pretty well stocked and has an abundance of everything you could need, whether it is food, toiletries, clothes, pet food, etc. I find the prices pretty reasonable and the coupons certainly do help with extra savings. The best time to go shopping is first thing in the morning as soon as they open up because parking after a certain time can be quite difficult, especially on a Saturday. Also, I wish there were more cashiers because the lines could get really long and the self checkout is not good for someone with a lot of items in their cart.

2022-01-02This sign is useless. Order a curbside pickup today, but there were no open spots. Everyone parked here for in-store shopping. I was waiting for lady to leave, a car behind me tried to take the spot and blocked all the cars behind. Bjs staff called the cop from the store, he just asked everyone to leave, and told me i cant wait here. Well, if those people were not taking these spots, then i dont need to wait for a curbside pickup spot.

2022-06-11BJ at Shore parkway has terrible customer service. I had ordered diapers on Thursday for Saturday pick up thinking they reserved my order for me. They send me a message at 7:59 AM on Saturday that they were sold out, after charging my account already and taking my coupons.I call in to ask why my order was not reserved and that they had 2 days to tell me they could not fill my order but do not until the very last minute when I am about to pick it up. They transfer me to the manager and my god was she rude. She kept saying the system takes hours to process and even more hours for them to get the work done. When I try to say anything she would talk right over me and would not let me speak. After asking her to let me speak, she had to audacity to hang up on me. What kind of customer service is this? They charged my card and took my coupons too. So I cant even use the coupons to order on line. My baby needs diapers and I am extremely upset with the management of this company.

2022-06-18Hey bjs can you do us truck driver a favor and remove this wall. So we wont have an issue with parking. We already have to deal with the traffic.

2022-02-08Very antisocial self check out workers. I find it very rude when the self check out machine malfunctions and the workers approach to swipe their card and they won’t even acknowledge you, say hello or even turn their head in your direction. No smile, eye contact nothing it’s like you’re invisible, then they turn around and walk off with saying a single word. ; Maybe i needed to ask a question or needed help with something else. Very robotic. Bad customer service. Miserable, unhappy workers at self check out. Almost every time. Including today. That’s not a good look. I find that strange: very strange since that never happens anywhere else. Customers should always feel welcomed in a place of business.

2022-05-11Only given 3 stars because the store is in close proximity to where I live. However, I am convinced that this location does not stock there items correctly in the back room or they continuously get bad shipments. I can literally buy eggs, cheese, white potatoes, and bread from there and literally within a week, they are all molded or going bad. Like HOW? I even found mold in a jar of pasta sauce the day I bought it. Also, I bought a pack of sport drinks called “body armor” from there and one of them had mold in it.Buyers, please check your food VERY carefully before eating it if you are shopping at this particular store.

2022-05-29Today we were in your store and we were deceived at the checkout! They punched cereal for 13.98, although I only bought one package for 6.99! I think that this is completely unacceptable if you want to keep the loyalty of your new customers! Thank you for spoiling the mood from visiting your store.

2022-04-01I went to the bakery department with my 16 month old son who was a bit difficult and cranky. I had to order cupcakes and had no idea how to go about it.A sweet woman named Carole came around the counter from the bakery and helped me from start to finish. What an amazingly sweet person. Thank you Carole!

2021-03-06Huge store but they definitely need more cashiers. The lines are superlong. There’s parking but don’t expect to find any on a Saturday.
