BJs Wholesale Club in other cities:
Cashier was rude, I told her twice I wanted things on the belt so I could put items in the bags I brought in. She insisted on scanning my items left in my cart. I asked her did you scan things twice she said no. The receipt said different. Now I have to bag things up outside in the cold. She was so dam rude and you could not even talk to this girl on what the CUSTOMER wanted.
I brought tires to be put on to rims today. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They were polite, helpful and super fast. They went far above and beyond what I expected of a tire changing place, letting me know what costs were and were superb in the handling of my tires and rims. To have a set (4) tires removed from rims and a new set installed they honestly took 10 minutes at the most. All three workers went right to work! They worked safely and efficiently. Thank you guys! I will be back the next time I need tires balanced and mounted!
THE worst. 1 open lane to cash out, everything else self checkout with HALF of those not working. They never care that there are long lines of people waiting. They just go about their uninterested days unconcerned. They should go watch how COSTCO does things (every lane open and ZERO self checkouts) but I really dont think they care. I think theyre just going through the motions waiting to close down, unable to compete.
This store is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the free snacks are a nice perk always something good to try. The store itself is spotless very clean and you cant beat the price on propane refills. Gas prices are very fair also. For the 25 dollars I paid for a years membership I cant beat it. Best Bjs in the Syracuse area.
I would drive from our area in Southern New Hampshire to shop here. Neat, clean store.Excellent jacket, vest lines, tops etc for women, mens sneakers by Avia. Priced better than other big box stores.Fantastic cheeses, cold cuts and meat section. Produce looks great. High marks for appearance and quality. We had a 3 month promotional membership. Just ask, come in and look around!
Had 4.new tires put on today and didnt make it home. Less than 10 miles The inept employees in the tire center did not tighten the lug nuts on the front drivers side tire!!! Even after a 2nd employee was supposed to check before the van left the service bay. Not only dangerous but after talking to the manager at 1130 am still no call back at 3 pm. If you value your life and others on the road go someplace else !!! Id attach the video but my husband was furious and used a few choice words.
Except for the deli meats & cheeses and some items in the meat case, the prices for many grocery items are lower at local stores. You have to be careful of some of the frozen items. Ive become sick in the past from items that had obviously thawed and were refrozen. Considering the price to join and the prices of most grocery items, its just way too expensive. They had one girl in the deli department a few weeks ago that was excellent. She was fast and courteous. Unfortunately, shes been replaced with lazy, inefficient trolls.
Had a coupon for 25 off membership from BJs, they wouldnt honor it the store. The associate was no help, called for a manager she finally agreed to allow me to buy paper towels at discount price but would have saved more money to buy from Walmart in Oswego and not waste time or money driving there. Looking at prices they are not worth it. Sams is much much better but Syracuse store closed. They are open in FL. Wont return to BJs NY or FL.
Excellent customer service, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff, extensive variety of products, great deals on gas for buying certain items, they accept manufacturers coupons on top of their own BJ Coupons. Which makes their already low prices even lower. The wait time on the line is really quite easy, you might spend more time loading your things on the register coveyor belt than on the line, cause the big heavy stuff stays on the cart. They have several self check out lines, but I prefer the warm friendly cheerful staff at the register. The only problem youre left solving on your own, is getting everything to fit in the trunk after finding so many irresistible deals. The only way arround it is to shop online and pick it up at the store. Your personal shopper will pick out the best items on your list, the freshest best looking fruits and produce and check expiration dates just like you would. Then pick it up at the time you set up. It will be ready and waiting for you. Just dont wander inside, you will just end up buying more things that catch your eye and tempt you with a great price. Otherwise you will have to try and make all of the extra items fit. But with a little self control, its a pretty sweet deal to have a personal shopper do all the work for you, and all you have to do is show up, get home and take all the glory. So to be fair, I give them an honest review of my experience, to show them the honor and Absolute respect and recognition that they deserve. Thank You for your outstanding service. Sincerely, Anthony.
Jaimie at the clay, Route 31 store in NY is very selfless and kind. The store is always clean and organized. With all the koas going on everyone in this store is polite, professional and caring. I highly recommend not only this store but the staff is the best I have encountered in this sad times.
I went to BJs for two years and went to them a couple of times with a concern. The first time was about their bottle return machines at the front of the store. You opened a door and put one bottle in and closed the door and waited for it to cycle. You can imagine how frustrating that would become. I went to the desk and they gave me a phone number to call. I called and I was told that that the machines belonged to a vendor and they had no control on them. They must have thought that I was stupid. Really, you have no control on your vendors. I would have thought that you would have put pressure on them to change their machines to ones that other places use that are user friendly. The other time I went to them with a concern was about their price of gas. A number of times I could have gone down the road a few miles and got gas cheaper and I didnt have to have a membership either to get it. Their answer was that they send someone out every morning to price gas in a 5 mile circle of their location and price their gas accordingly. I finally got fed up with their answers and have gone to Costco. On gas buddy today Costco gas is $2.12 a gallon and BJs at the store we went to is $2.42 a gallon. Granted it is probably 8-9 miles away but their is such a difference. I came to the conclusion a while ago that BJs just doesnt get it. Maybe if enough people leave BJs they might start to see the light.
I do like the store, but BJs has not done enough to the prices of their products to warrant a continual membership. This store is clean and does offer samples of their products on occasion. I would prefer a Costco membership, but this store is more centralized to the Liverpool/Clay/Baldwinsville area.
If I could give them 0 stars I would, their customer service lies to you. After paying more for a television from them (vs competition) and having enormous issues with it from day one, management just wants to pass off blame to someone else. Their manager Chuck is a jerk and I hope he sees this. Worthless.
Buyer beware!bought pure vanilla at 31.00 so I thoughtWas vanilla blend aka immitationNo response from bjs corporate officeClay New York was charging 31.00 with a sign stating pure vanilla but product was vanilla blendeast Syracuse had the vanilla blend with a price tag of 13.00Buyer beware

2022-03-18Today (Friday, March 19) I called with an inquiry, and I spoke with a B.J.s Club representative. It was such a pleasure to be helped by such a nice, helpful, polite, professional, and friendly employee. Talking to Holly was like talking with my sister or with a trusted friend. Thank you for hiring such nice and competent people. Customer/member, Ran Collins

2019-11-07I think BJs is one of the best wholesale stores.Thier memberships are very affordable and they often have special deals/promotions for new members. Members receive a coupon book every month that gives extra deals on tons of products throught the store! You can not beat some of the prices when you use coupons!I really appreciate how clean the store is. They have a huge variety of awesome products. Thier seasonal items are great, and I have found some fantastic deals on toys! There has only been 1 or 2 times I have been in the store that I havent left with a belly full of samples. The gas station has gas that is comparable to other stations, if not cheaper. Certain products in store offer $.10/ gal. Its easy to knock off $.60/gal per visit!I also really appreciate how you can pay with any charge or any other payment option. Staff is friendly and helpful. Checkout is super quick.

2022-01-25Nice shopping club in a rather remote spot behind a couple of restaurants and a defunct mall. Club is clean and well stocked. Rarely a line for gas. Road into the complex is terrible - full of potholes and no directing signage.

2021-10-30I went to BJ’s just to pick up stuff to make a beef stew. The Butcher came out and greeted me with a good morning, can I help you find something? I told him I was looking for stew meat. He asked me how much I wanted and then he said he would make me some. So very nice of him to do that on a busy Saturday. Great customer service

2021-12-03I called the bakery to see if it was possible for them to do a birthday cake for the following day. The woman i spoke to on the phone had the worst attitude about it. I will not ever use them for a cake again amd I really like the cakes they do and have gone there many times for cakes but I am positive I can get a great cake withoit having to deal with that kind of service.👎

2022-06-26Need to work with whoever is responsible for maintaining the access roads to the store. They are an absolute travesty.

2021-07-07I have always purchased my tires from BJ’s Clay. For the first time, I had an issue. Thanks to the store manager Kennedy, Tire manager Frankie and his mechanic Vitally, the situation was resolved better then I could have asked for. Best place to buy tires!! Thank you

2021-12-07I purchased $20 of their deli roast beef. It was inedible (odd taste, mostly grizzle and too chewy). It all ended up in the trash because they dont offer refunds. I wont be renewing my membership.

2022-03-01Not too crowded at this time of day, at least indoors. The gaspumps were busy as you would expect.

2021-06-15Hello I would just like to say that the store is good, however the toilets would not flush when I used them. It was so embarrassing to leave my log in the toilet when I walked out. An employee was going in as I left, we made eye contact and he knew what I did. Please fix this.
