BJs Wholesale Club in other cities:
I usually shop here with my family and we have a good experience. Today however, we were treated horribly by the cashier checking us out. She started muttering under her breath as soon as we got on line and started taking things out of our cart. Yanking our cart and giving us a nasty attitude for not leaving our items in the cart. Thinking we don’t understand or maybe just flat out not caring that we are right next to her, she starts talking negatively about us with her coworker, loud enough for us to hear. A couple of obscene things could be heard. This is absolutely absurd and is no way treat another human being, whether a customer or not. Please look into your employees and make sure they set a good example for the company, and this location in particular. Would give negative stars if I could…
I wanted a gazebo that was sold out. Ira who I believe was the supervisor took the time to go online and help search for any that may be in stock. He also gave me the stock numbers and locations to double check. I wish more stores had people like Ira. I was happy to see there are still people who care! Great job BJs of Farmingdale ! Thank you !
I have been shopping here for several years and have never had a negative experience.Just read a one star review complaining about the cashier, etc. Just felt like I had to add my two cents. There has never been a time that I left unhappy and most times I leave smiling.Everyone has always been pleasant and helpful. My thanks to management for a pleasant staff.
Never any stock/inventory. HorribleManagement from entry into store to sub par customer service to closing the store whenever they feel like it. I pay so little for my membership through my job and it is not worth it .Even if the membership was free it is not worth it. Oh and by the way making everyone line up in one line for any purchase is not social distancing blocks all the aisles that have no inventory and makes no sense when there are multiple registers and self check out. I am Happily joining COSTCO on 110 north.
This review is strictly for their appliance/installation side of the business. I ordered a dishwasher to be installed. Installer showed up and told me he couldnt install it because I had copper pipes! What?! The dishwasher is not connected to any pipes. It connects via a water line; which is exactly how my current unit is connected. They put the unit back on the truck. I called BJs and was told itll take 10 days for a refund but they have no recourse nor will they do anything as it relates to the installer. I cannot call anyone, email anyone or contact anyone. Absolutely pathetic customer service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase an appliance from BJs every again and I implore all of those reading this to the same.
1 star is not for the store itself but rather the customer service/assistance. We came in to do our normal shop and we wandered into the electronics section. We found a Bose soundbar that was on sale but there were none on the floor. Waited at customer service for a while as there were no associates on the floor to help. Finally got some assistance in the area and when I asked about that specific soundbar I was told it was discontinued and they stopped selling it. I asked the associate if I could hear and possibly purchase the floor model. At that time the associate explained to me that it would be a lot of work to take off a few screws. This kind of service is unacceptable. I’m in retail management myself. Why wouldn’t the store go above and beyond to sell a discontinued item? Instead it’s going to be troubling to help a customer?
Great place too shop . You have too be prepared too buy on bulk. Dont go with children because youll probably end up in a long line during checkout. Bring bags for small items. They do offer empty boxes but most of the time they are boxes with some type of cut out or hole. Some great deals can be had here and they accept coupons. The only real draw back is the fee for membership.
They have a decent selection and update deals around every three weeks. Its great when you want to stock up, but sometimes difficult if youre only needing a small amount of an item. The deli is decent, and I think they may have the best rotisserie chicken deal in the area.
The girl who does the pricing signs Emely, she was so rude to me and my daughter. She had her mask off and I requested she put it on since my daughter is too young to wear one while we were in the aisle and she was so busy flirting and inappropriately acting up with this young man, another co worker, that she just ignored me and rolled her eyes and went back to what she was doing. I will be calling corporate about this. Unbelievable. In these times young kids think this is ok. I asked to speak to her manager and no one came as I waited 20 min and couldnt wait anymore.
Found an employee tampering with food!!! This employee knew that she was caught too because she gave the wrong name when confirming the order and practically ran back inside without any communication. Found my food open and some products have pieces missing! Inspect your food; a female employee is trying to cause several illness or possible death to their customers!
Its actually a great store, I dont know what other people are complaining about coupon books and answering a phone about. Yes it may take some time to get through on the phone but they do answer. The pharmacy there is great and has great prices as well as fast orders. The store is quick on restocking items that have run out. The store is kept clean and not messy like some other stores where employees only clean the store after it closes. The greater is always nice to check for my membership card. Over all great store just needs some more cashiers the lines get long and the self check out line should only be for limited amount of items because some people have no idea what they are doing and have 2 full carts of stuff.
Went to BJs in Farmingdale to get gas. I was so happy to see they had Full Serve. I did not think they offered full service.I pulled up, watched the attendant, Kenny, talking to the person in the car behind me. Kenny is a young, slightly portly man with a beard. He knew the person in the car behind me.. I asked him if this island was full service. He told me it was full service, but I could put gas if I wanted. I told him I preferred he pump gas because my kids were in the car. He told me “you can pump your own gas, it’s not like you are an invalid”. I told him that was pretty rude and it looks like he does not want to do his job so I would pump my own gas. He and the person in the car laughed at me.I finished and went into the store to speak to the manager. Instead, the Asst Mgr Reina came to speak to me. I told her what happened and she told me he was probably helping another customer. I told her he was speaking to someone that he knew in the car behind me and a young man should not treat customers that way. I suggested we go out and speak to Kenny. She said she would take care of it. I suggested that we both speak to him again. She did apologize, but said she would take care of it. It was pretty clear that she did not care too much.Bottom line is pump your own gas. The lazy attendants at BJs in Farmingdale are not interested in helping customers and their management is not interested in addressing customer concerns.
Very bad managed, delicatessen workers are the slowest, arrogant and lowest mannerisms i have ever seen and dealt with. Witnessed this particular guy with tag name Theo,on 3 different occasions costumers bringing back cold cuts cause it was cut thick slices and not thin as they wanted. I always try to avoid him serving me. The only person that i notice that goes out of her way to please customers is a lady named Amy. BTW, i shop at BJS twice a week, once for myself and my wife and once for my sons family .
The lines at this store are absolutely ridiculous. Ive worked as a cashier and speedy check out is definitely not a priority to these people. You would really think that management would try to do better. I will try my luck shopping elsewhere rather than potentially waiting in line for 45 minutes 😡
Waited on customer service line for over a half hour only to be told that the air conditioning unit I wanted was unavailable. Asked them to check for stock and again was told they were sold out. Left the store and in the parking lot is a woman trying to get the same air conditioner in her car. I put in in for her and said she must have gotten the last one. She told me that they had plenty in the warehouse and one of the stock staff brought it out of the back but would not help her to her car. I went back found it myself and brought it home. Fair price, horrible service and employees. I can see why Costco kicks their butts in sales
Gas prices are the best and if you have their credit card you get an extra discount on top of the already cheap price. When finished, head into the store for more awesome deals e.g most items you shop in other stores at retail price you get that same price at wholesale in BJs.
If youre looking for one of the worst experiences of your shopping life come on in. You can be attacked with racial slurs by the animals that shop there while the self-checkout associate cheers on. After its all over the manager will provide rehearsed lip service while all the useless bystanders finally come out of hiding to feign outrage and insincere concern.
I just had a very bad experience with the BJs bakery in Farmingdale. I went in on Monday and ordered a Minecraft cake for my nephew. I filled out the order form and talked to the bakery associate to let her know how I wanted the cake decorated. I even gave her a picture of what I wanted. She saw the order form and told me it’s ok and I asked her about the green color I wanted for the cake. She showed me a green color and I agreed that it would look nice on the cake. When I went to pick up the cake on Saturday, the cake looked nothing like the cake on the picture. It was white, not green! I spoke to the manager and she said that what I needed to do is indicate it on the order form. I said I did and the bakery associate told me they would make the cake green. The manager then tells me that they can’t make it green and that the bakery associate is new. I told her “I ordered this cake on Monday, why couldn’t BJs call me and tell me they couldnt make it green!” The manager then says, “the bakers here are not professional and that’s all they could do, this is why the cake just cost $23. “ I am so disappointed with the customer service and how they couldn’t accommodate me. I would not recommend to make custom cakes at the BJs from Farmingdale!!
Good clean store but aisles are confusing , they keep moving products around. Even the helper didnt know where the Q-Tips were.Might be a good jdea to have digital guides located at various intersections around the store to indicate where products are locatedproducts are.
The store is not made for handicapped people if you are hurt and have to use the Electric cart theres no way for you to get out of the store and they make you stop right at the door and empty out the Electric cart and you have to try to get out yourself it was the worst thing I had surgery and there was no way for me to get out of the store. I would never recommend it for anybody thats an handicap
As a contractor Im in Farmingdale Home Depot almost every other day its consistently on point everybody behind the counters the pro counters professional the service counter professional the people in the aisles not so professional unless you find that right person which is hard to find
I bought 2 queen size beds with Bjs beds. What I want to know is how do they get away with changing me tax on the full price of the bed which was$700.00 DOLLARS. I PAID $299.00.for the bed.How do they get away with that. Just think how many people get overcharged taxes on items bought at Bjs . Where does the extra money go.Do you ever check the tax on your bill. They told me THAT IS THEIR POLICY. WHAT A JOKE
They r rude I hate this store one they always talk to me nasty and look at me as if Im stealing from them very veey veey very rude I mean they have no respect at all they talked to me as if I was a child I hate this store I would go to regauler store before I ever go back to this sucky ass place sorry for my mouth they make me so mad ok spend almost 2000 every two months but I spend all that money a th once any other store would look ve that kind of money

2022-05-28The store is stocked well but understaffed. The folks that work here are very nice and customer service is great, especially Susan. The prices are competitive but the app always has issues. Bjs needs to step it up with the app.Gas is 10 cents cheaper than the area stations but the lines are ridiculous.

2022-05-13Horrible shopping experience. Had a nice cashier, even though the line was almost unbearable. However, I did not have a great experience with the store itself. Rotten meat and food, can be smelled throughout the entire store. It’s bad. Half the meat is bloody and rotten. The smell was so bad I could smell it all the way from the bakery. Never coming here again

2022-05-05Stuff always out of stock literally every time i go there i must give up on items on my list due to stock issues. If the same items are out of stock every week youd think they would order more...nope....will be cancelling membership . Costco is literally down the road...

2022-05-17For the first time I went there (50 Daniel St). I was very much disappointed by the front desk. No real interest they showed for my case. They wanted me to somehow leave that place. Very disappointed. Just came out, and saw Mavis Discount Tires and they received me graciously.

2022-06-03I have noticed in the last few visits to BJs Wholesale Club that prices have been increased $.50 on up, on each item to the point where they are no longer competitive with the supermarket. Most recently their bakery muffins have shrunk considerably and no longer have the appeal of a special treat. They look like average supermarket muffins now.

2022-02-27The gas station is THE best part never long lines and well managed unlike freeport which is a disaster the store part is well stocked and much neater than freeport and levittown so I prefer the extra 10 minutes to come to farmingdale its also conveniently located right of a busy roadway with plenty of other shopping stores nearby so for me i get all my shopping done quicker
