So its a store, cool. Theres products in bulk and registers and everything else youd expect. Unexpected? How helpful and friendly the employees at customer service are. A woman named Laura, or Lauren, helped with my membership and was super nice. If she represents all the employees at BJs this store has stellar workers. Except the guy checking receipts on the way out. Hes got an attitude and is the reason theres a star knocked off my review.
They are all very helpful when it comes to things they can do. Don’t expect a cashier to know where things are and most definitely don’t come to them when they are working on someone’s order. The only thing is as an employee here is having to call two hours before my shift and them not answering me for 23 minutes of constant calling. If I don’t call, it will be my fault and no one else’s.
Went in to the islandia location today around noon was looking for ground bision and couldnt find on shelf. Mind you i buy it every week from the Bellport location.. so i asked to speak to one of the guys in the meat department he said they dont carry it in any of their stores and havent for at least two years and i have no clue what i am talking about they need to work on their customer service in this store. And i told him he should check before making assumptions.
Not enough cashiers and unorganized lines. If a cashier is only taking credit cards a large sign should be put up so everyone can see it, not a little one on the register. Also not all of the shelves are marked with the prices. It seems that when you are comparing something like chop meat to hamburgers that are on sale something wont have a price. Finally I find that floor workers are few and do not speak English.

Love coming here because of all the whole sale prices they got. Come here to get snacks,can sodas, and buying certain meats since theyre priced better than most super markets. Staff is great never to busy to stop what their working on to give you some help or point you in the direction you need. Especially if youre planning for a party itll be a much better deal then going to a bunch of separate stores searching for all the supplies you need.
I loved going to this bj’s location, but about a month ago when corona virus was still pretty high a man just walked in with no mask, walked around and shopped. No one stopped him at entrance and no one approached him at all. He went to self check, paid and left. I asked the lady showing customers which register to go to and she just smirked and did not care that he wasn’t wearing a mask. NOT GOOD BJS!!!
I ordered a personal item from BJs not only did i not receive it concealed it was the wrong size and to top it all off it was delivered to the bldg next door for all to see. I was humiliated. Its bad enough that I have this condition but now my neighbors know.. Never again
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - The service and quality has been greatly declining. It used to be a good store, but lately there has been some minor incidents here and there, but just today, I was treated like a criminal and degraded as a customer over an issue of coupons. Very disappointing....dont trust the store or company any more.
This store needs to open more cash registers. HIRE some people stop using the self checkouts that are always troublesome. The lines are out of control!Slowest deli counter on Earth!I find myself starting to shop at Costco more and more. They put 2 people on a registers this store barely opens 2 registers!
I MISS COSTCO! Once my membership here is done Im going back. I thought I just needed to shop here a few times and get a feel for the store but thats not it. The prices are higher and mist of all their fruit and vegetable area is a joke!! Their apples look gross, the oranges even worse they literally look like theyve been frozen and once thawed have shriveled up. Bananas and grapes are always bruised. I can go over on and on point is dont waste your time at this store.
This BJs has by far the most unprofessional, incompetent group of staff i have ever seen in my entire life, while there customers service is also comically bad. I visited this store on mid june this year to demo a windows 8.1 PC, a slight upgrade over the last model i had purchased there. Upon approaching the demo unit to my dismay i discover its locked. Its not that big of a deal, as i am plenty aware some chains do not like to leave units unlocked for fear of tampering and potential security concerns. Unfortunately this was not some budget model, but was a higher end Toshiba laptop, not something your average customer would be willing to purchase without trying first. So I decided upon approaching a manager to try to get them to unlock the unit. Unfortunately your managerial waitstaff was extremely condescending, rude and demeaning to your valued customers who pay good money and expect a quality service in return. Not only was your manager unable to provide me with the password (she lost it), or even simply unlock the unit, due to there extreme level of incompetence, but they had the audacity to try to argue me, telling me this was not a demo unit, but was simply there for display purposes.Try pulling that crap with any other product in your store and watch your customers laugh at you while they walk out, there is a MAJOR reason you plug in your display TVs ect, simply put if you didnt demo them, nobody would purchase them. If you have ever worked in a similar position, as i have, even a day in your life, you would know that while this may technically be true, almost every single display unit in the store will be set up with some type of demo, as most of your customers are not willing to drop several hundred dollars on anything without at least trying it first.This is not unreasonable, this is the norm for any store of this type. S.O.P is to try to accommodate the customer the best you can if at all possible, not to argue with them. Your managers did not even make a single attempt to accommodate your customers, who could walk across the street into any best buy, costco ect. where they would be happy to go out of the way to accommodate there paying customers. I will never shop in this truly GARBAGE second rate store again, and i highly recommend you dont either. Take your money where they VALUE you as a customer, my personal recommendation would be to just go to costco, where there products are both cheaper AND come with MUCH better customer service. The single worst experience i have ever had in a retail outlet, whoever runs this store should be EMBARRASSED to be represented by such clowns.
Crowded but with lots of food in bulk. Great options when buying for a family. Dont get the smoked salmon here. The BJ brand labeled one is terrible. Its salty, scaly, and even has fish bones in it. The package has a week expiration and was bad way before that. I even got sick from eating the wesely farms Scottish smoked salmon.
Tire center is horrible, customer service is non existent. No one many the counter and no one comes out to talk to a customer when you come in. Waited 20 minutes and no one came out. You can here them screwing around and using profanity and telling jokes in the back. Terrible, much better off as Costco tire center.
We need to put a BJS in Commack NY we all want one here. BJS is one of the best places to go to I am not gonna be traveling and either are other people. The people here in kingspark and commack want to have a BJS here. Yes there has been accidents at that spot and its time to put something different there. Enough of banks and food stores its time to put a BJS there. There is a Hobby lobby in there where sports authority there then there was a kingkullen and now another grocery store all these store that are in that shopping center. I use to take a bus to Macys and walked to Kingkullen lets go people we want a BJS there. So what an 18 whee7 goes in there thats what they have for all these stores. Lets open a BJS where Macys is now. Lets all root root root for one lets go.
Horrible experience I come here all the time but last nights trip was super uncomfortable our cashier Wilson horrible customer service experience made us feel super uncomfortable barely said a single word too us and when he did for some reason he kept speaking to us in Spanish which was a bit confusing and just waved us too put the things on the lane and when we proceed to check out gave us a weird look when we handed him coupons and a weirder face while we were using two different debit cards
Ordered a cake for both of my nieces Baptism. This is how it came out. The piping of frosting is very inconsistent and off-center, not to mention the lettering. It looks SLOPPY! The only positive part of this cake was the taste, but this was a downer for our family and friends. The first statement that came out of their mouths was the lack of professionalism with your bakery.
They had availability of All Sale items,Clean,Easy to move in isles displays set up in nice arrangement, And the Cashier Imedatlly called Anthony P ,and he help me to my car and even when I said he Only had to help me with the heavy chair, he stayed and finished loading the whole order, I am very glad They opened this store near my home,I have never had a bad experience 😀😀
Pros: clean space, good products, friendly staffCons: the place of products should remain the same (the place is big and its time inefficient looking for the products), also the parking lot is filled with carts (the customers are of fault but since its obvious that we cant expect people to be courteous, the store should make sure the carts are stored away from time to time)Thank you. 😊
IM WORKING FIRST AS A HELPER PEOPLE AT UPS ON THEIR MACHINES FIRST.ON THE SECOND TIME USUALLY I USED FULL BOOKS IN THE TABLES FOR THESE OPERATORS. AND AFTER WRAP THE THE BOXES. SO WE HAVE NOT A SPECIFIC THING TO DO AT UPS.AT BROADRIGE ITS ALMOST THE SOMETHING HELPE OTHERS PEOPLES WHORE WORKING ON THE MACHINES, PICK UP THE CARTOONS,CUT THEM, PUSHING THE DJACK .AT THE END I CAN SAY THE SAME THING FOR THE BOTH. BUT I WILL LIKE TO DO ANY OTHER EXPERIENCES IN THE NEW THINGS THAT DEPEND OF YOU .IN MY COUNTRY I WORK AS PLUMBER, VIDEAST,ELECTRICIAN,PHOTOGRAPHER.FOR USA I HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE A IN CONSTRUCTION BUT, VIEW THAT I HAVENT MY LICENCE I CAN WORK ONLY UNDER THE CONTROL A LICENCER MAN.

2022-07-02This place is the worst! Anytime I call customer service nobody EVER picks up. I can NEVER get any help when an online order goes wrong. I placed an order that was supposed to be ready for pickup between 5-6 pm, only to have it changed to the next day without notice. The only way I found out that it had been changed was because I checked the app for a status, right before I was about to leave to pick up the order. This is a terrible way to treat customers. What I ordered was for my dinner that night. I had to spend more money on take out because of this service. They also had bad ground meat twice. My advice, dont plan any meals depending on this branch. As a matter of fact, shop a different branch altogether.

2022-05-08Had the worst experience today with your cashier Jack. I approached the register and asked him if I had to clipped the coupons BJs advertised, he said yes. I started scanning the items on the app saving my coupons and he knowing this, proceeded to scan all my items in my cart. When I finished scanning my items and clipped my coupons, I showed him my app and asked him how my coupons and asked him how they are applied to my purchase. He stated you had to scan them before your purchase, I looked at him and said you heard me ask you about the coupons and you proceeded to scan my items? All he has to say was if you dont mind, you can scan your items, im just going to take the next customer. So he just ignored me and turned away. So I asked him so how do I get my coupons applied to my purchase ? He said you have to go to customer service. Again, I looked at him and told him you do not have the right customer service here and you are very rude. He looked at me and rolled his eyes and turned away from me and saw him look at my through the side ignoring me. I proceeded to hand him my card to pay and he said you pay there, so rude!!After I paid, he gave me my receipts and I said thank you and went to customer service. I spoke with Francis and explained to her the situation and she applied my coupons and said I would receive a credit.After reading the reviews of this location, I can see why the reviews are what they are 1 star. The staff needs training on how to respond appropriately to customers. This was my second time purchasing here so wasnt aware of the procedures, I definitely will not be returning here. Costco is my go to place and will always be! You definitely dont have to clip coupons to get a promotion, thats ridiculous!!Ill just let my membership expire. Do better BJs!!!

2022-06-08The Islandia BJS has got to be the worst club within their organization when it come to customer service. Today I picked up a 12pk box of Kleenex tissues. The sign directly above the pallet stated $14.99. I went to pay at the self checkout and the price came up $15.99. I called over the employee working in that area, Sharvan, and he insisted that $15.99 was the correct price. After paying I went back to that area and took a picture; the sign above the pallet stated $14.99. I went back to Sharvan and showed him the picture. It appears the incorrect sign was posted. Sharvan then proceeded to ask me if I wanted an adjustment which I said yes. At the service counter after he informed the person at the desk to give me the adjustment he proceeded to contact someone via walkie-talkie and asked for a “camera check”, insinuating that I might have switched the sign in order to get a buck back. Really??!!?? Some of the employees at the Islandia store should be properly trained when it comes to customer service. Best training would be to take a trip to the local Costco where the customer is #1!! There is a reason why a share of Costco stock is over $400!

2021-01-25I shop the Islandia location roughly once a month. You get very good savings especially with the coupons they offer, very large selection in comparison to other wholesale clubs. Store is always well stocked and clean. Im leaving off one star because the wait times on line need improvement, they never have enough lines open, and this has always been a criticism of mine even before pandemic conditions.

2020-11-20BJs is soooo under staffed. I called to confirm status on an item I purchased online and no one answers the phone. I called 5 times and one time someone answered and quickly hung up. Other times the phone rang for over 15 minutes and no one answers. Next time Ill sign up with Costco, I know the company treats the customer far more better.

2020-07-21Love shopping here. But the staff treated me like if I was a criminal. I had an employee next to me watch me as I was scanning my items and when I was done I had 4 employees follow me out the door. And as I give them my receipt to count my items with no hesitation. They had switch a young adult to an elderly lady to make sure I wasn’t stealing anything. I have never felt so humiliated and uncomfortable before for someone who would always come here.
