A store worker believed my mother stole something and demanded to see her bag. He was needlessly rude and threatened to call the police if she didnt comply. There was no need for him to have been that rude, since my mother had already opened her bag for him to inspect. After he checked her bag (which was completely empty, by the way), he waved her off with a smirk and a smug Have a nice day! BJs has been a reliable option over the years, but this incident has definitely lowered my opinion of this store and its workers.
PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!After I paid for my stuff I waited at the door for the worker to check my receipt, the worker looked between my stuff and receipt for three minutes and told me that I didn’t pay for a bottle of shampoo. The cashier must have missed it when she was scanning, but I don’t blame her at all because that happens sometimes. So I told the worker that I think the cashier missed that bottle and asked if I can pay for it. The worker took my membership card, turned around to another worker and claimed that I stole that bottle of shampoo! I explained to him a couple times but he kept claiming that I stole it! He immediately wrote down my membership number and told me to not steal again! I don’t understand what kind of service it is to blame a customer for mistakes they made and even claiming that I stole something! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STORE! They don’t deserve a 4 stars.
Thelma the manager here is a SOLDIER. She waited on hold with the 800# for 45 mins to help me resolve an order issue. Shes the real MVP. David A the supervisor is awesome too, really friendly and helpful. Love this place. Corporate really needs to step it up, its nearly impossible to get through to them on the 800# and its unacceptable.
This is the worst BJs Ive shopped at. The customer service is super slow. At checkout, the cashier I had was so rude. She had her back to us the whole time, talking to another cashier. What kind of customer service is this? Do they even train these people in how to treat the customers? They all have attitudes like we owe them something. I wont shop here again.
A great place to shop for very low prices on name brand vegan food. It’s an easy walk from the #7 train. Bjs is located on the lower level of the Shops at SkyView Center. Enter the main entrance and walk towards the rear escalators. Then take it down to the lowest level (there is a sign Bjs and also security will point you in the right direction) Then exit and you will find yourself in the parking lot. You will immediately see the main entrance to Bjs. It’s well worth the trip. I like to use the self checkout.
CHRISTIAN! Boy with glasses. Management needs to educate the customer service employee because he lacks it! After going back and forth he went on to tell another cashier who helped me and told me “oh now you speak English” meanwhile I approached him in English language from the beginning?? Does not seem fit for the job. He also has a bad rep as hes been known to scam bj buyers into applying for a credit card when THEY DID NOT ASK FOR IT. Beware for this scumbag
Extremely rude staff. Security in the parking lot gave us a hard time, as my father drives a taxi and did not know that the sign “no parking taxis only” referred to delivery workers at the store (as the man threatening us to either leave or pay $100 said). One of the cashiers repeatedly asked my mom for ID and follow up questions when all she wanted was a coupon book! I don’t know if it was because she was wearing a hijab. The other cashier noticed she was being unreasonable and gave my mom the book. No other BJs has been this unprofessional. Do not recommend coming here
I hate coming here but unfortunately its the only one around. The people who shop here are super rude. The self check out express line? Might as well just be a regular self check out. When youre using the self check out lines and you need assistance it takes a couple of minutes for them to come help you. During peak hours it takes a good 5-10 minutes of waiting on lines just to be able to pay for your items.
Good to shop for food and having a variety of other things. Go during the less busier hours otherwise its impossible to leave the parking lot and lots of grief dealing with inconsiderate drivers and sometimes scratches in your car. Not sure why I need to pay for parking if purchase is under $75...
This place is always dusty but my #1 problem with this place is whenever you buy an item for example i always used to buy maruchan ramen every time that i went. they suddenly removed it and replaced it with some nasty replacement like they keep doing this!!! every time i get attached to a really REALLY good item they remove it and replace it with some cheap knockoff!!! UGHHHHH its so frustrating!
Hi-Today 09/30/2018 I have experienced the worst customer service ever. I have been a skiview center customer since it opened but after today experience i dont think i will ever come back. We came to shop at bjs place at 4pm and by 5:10 we were ready to go out. Our parking ticket was not able to get validated because of their machine. So, the cashier asked us to just show the receipt to the security guy and they will let us go, it didnt happened that way. The hispanic guy responsible for the parking exit on the bjs level forced us to paid the $3 and even thread us of calling his guy to give us a $150 fine for making traffic. He didnt give us any other options to solve the problem. We were explaining to him that we were just following instructions from Bjs regarding the parking validation and even showed him the receipt with the date and time we made the purchase. We strongly believe that this person pocketed the parking fee that we were forced to pay and will not ever report it to the company! Please be aware of this type or workers and I urge you to make changes to management team.
A lot of times, we could not find on sales items available at this BJs store. Not sure they sold out or not carrying the items. Cell phones do not work here if you are not using Verizon. If you drive to shop here, there is parking fee. I heard if you spent at least $70, you will get free parking for hours. Come on. This is BJs warehouse, you guys sell bulk items and you dont expect us to drive here to shop. I wish they will give us like 2 or 3 hours free shopping if we spend for $30.Went back there on Sunday afternoon. Man. There were so many people at check-out. We waited for 30 mins for paying it. Ridiculous!
Went to BJs today, the cashier scanned an item from the next customer, by the time I notice, the item was paid for. She told me I had to go wait in line again in customer service, to return an item that was her mistake in the first place. I asked for a manager and Jonathan very rudely told me everyone has to follow the rules . Didnt even give me a second to explain that it was his cashier mistake.I will never step foot in BJs again.
There isnt a much foot traffic at this location compared to other locations that BJs is located in Queens. When Skyview first opened, they offered free parking for 3 hours to customers and then when they started to finally charge, the car traffic diminished. I go here because its conveniently located by the 7 Train and walk down to College Point to buy some necessary items without having to drive.
The staff wasnt rude but they werent friendly, I had a digital bj card which has been accepted at every other bjs and they refused to take it at this location. I was lucky the person behind me shared theirs! Other than this - its your standard bj store, the parking and shopping area are the main bonuses!
Always long waiting line during weekend. It takes at least 30 minutes to check out.The people Manning the entrance dont even check your membership card. A lot of people asks for borrowing your membership card to check out. If they dont have membership card, why let them in?
CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS: If you have non-food items, their self-checkout machines WILL TAX THE FOOD AS WELL!! Plus, make sure all your coupons actually went through: the self-checkout machines may beep but that doesnt mean anything was actually deducted from your subtotal!! And why do these self-checkout machines no longer advise the next customer to please wait until the bagging area is cleared instead of HELPING TO INSTIGATE VIOLENCE between shoppers when someone elses stuff comes down the line while youre still trying to collect all your purchases??? Also: A bald-headed Senior Manager named Mike is in the habit of not helping customers by claiming to not work here at BJS -- despite his BJS ID (which he tries to keep hidden by clipping it to the hem of his sweater, say, instead of at the collar or chest-area like other staff, including management)...this didnt just happen with me but was confirmed to be regular behavior of his by two separate BJS workers at different times working opposite ends of the store...this bum Mike should be in politics the way he lies so blatantly!
The people at the DELY department are very nasty I call to order a sandwich and the hung up the phone the are going to loose a lot Custumers the bjs at 20th ave had sandwich ready for me the same day in a matter of 3 hour these bjs At Skywiew needs better customer service specially for the holidays they should have some one that can do the sandwiches and colcuts plates within 2-3 hour like other places
They are so nice, i lost a power bank on cart before 2 hours, im back to here and ask entrance person, he ask me about my power bank looks like and color, then they gave back to me, told me they found on the cart. They are great, nice and enthusiastic. They help me find what I lost.
The customer service department is lousy. The girl who works there just yells at the clients and does not help solve problems that the CLIENTS have. It seems that the BJS of this place is not interested in customers by putting a poorly educated person in CUSTOMER SERVICE Because the girl who serves there believes that she is working in a jail and can yell and treat badly.

2021-12-07I prefer coming here, because of less customers in this bjs location. I took away one star for the consistent problems with their deli kiosk not alerting staff to my orders in advance of arriving there. This has been more than 2 months of this issue.. It’s very irritating when your trying to leave as quickly as possible, but having to repeat my order all over again.

2020-10-21Terrible customer service,schedule time is 10pm, I called for if I could go around 9:55, they said it was ok. But I went their 9:50pm they did not let me go. I drove all the way from Brooklyn. The police man said because the COVID-19 situation they close 9:45pm, really!!!!! I think They just find a excuse of their lazy work attitude. Good luck to this BJ’s location. Post time just 9:58pm.the doorman was lazy!!!

2021-06-09PLEASE hire more workers for your Curbside/In-Store Pickup area as well as for your Customer Service Area! Had a horrible experience here, and had to wait a very long time. What was the purpose of opting for store pickup if I waited 30 minutes! Plus, some of the items were rotten and I had to wait another 35 minutes on line for a refund, which I ended up not getting because I left the line since my refrigerator items were melting! Please come up with a better system to handle your refunds for store pickup customers.

2017-09-26Price discrepancy and manager would not honor the price marked on the product. Said no and end of story. Well, youve lost a customer. Ill do my shopping at Costco. This location has too many ppl wanting to borrow membership cards. Why am I paying membership when ppl are being allowed to walk in and get the same services that I have to pay for. This is totally unacceptable. Bye bye Bjs😃Update: prices from this location are higher than 20th ave location.

2021-10-04One of the worst bjs I have ever been to. The staff is extremely rude. Management wont validated parking if you havent spent enough money in the store. This is the only bjs Ive been to that requires you to purchase a certain amount in order to park in there facilities. Corporate really needs to change management and personal.
