BJs Wholesale Club in other cities:
Nice organized place , adding more kosher selections to the isles. Can be more choices but it looks that they care to add more. There is more kids selected products at this location then any other places . clean and organized! Most of the time the shelves are filles except busy sunday. The biggest thing is that they have coupon books most of the time and nice cusomer service representatives, who are most of the time greet you with a smile.
PRO’s = Found items couldn’t find in other BJ’s. CONS = unfortunately customer service and fungus bakery goods. Bought red velvet loaf cake but was stale and had fungus aligned on the crust. Yuck. Customer service needs retraining. Seems they hired employees who prefer not to speak in English and another at the door taking her sweeeeeeeet time scanning our bags against our receipt. Thank God BJ’s only gave her a marker. Her attitude was snobbish. Won’t be shopping here unless they are the only store in Queens with the items we needed.
Worst bjs ever …… customer Service and management at the store is useless a robot would give better service than them. Not even customer service on the phone is helpful, they keep giving you the run around. They honestly love to waste peoples time !!!!! If I could I would rate them in the negatives overall.
I move to College Point that there is a BJs nearby, so I try a membership of it. The shopping experiences there are not only unpleasant, but I would also say that is worst in NYC.Last month I went there and wanted to buy two carpets for the kitchen, I could only found one, and they told me that there is still 120 product in that store, and I should find it somewhere easily. After 20 minutes without any help, I finally saw the boxes with the same product no. on the top of the shelf, and they promise that they will take it down soon and I may go back any day after that. After that day I went there several times, and the box is still on the top of the shelf and they never move it. Finally, I realized they dont want to sell it, so I purchased it on Amazon. And the last time I went there, I like to buy filters for my Brita, I asked 4 staffs, and they directed me 4 different directions and 4 different lines, it took almost 20 minutes and no one can point me to the right place for the product, that was awful. I dont they have any zeal to run that place.
The store “states” they are the best with customer service. So wrong. I literally have been on hold for member services and nothing. Do yourself the favor don’t order for pick up. This shows the “professionalism” they have. They should at least have 4 people at member services to answer phones. Very frustrated.
I have NEVER BEEN HERE BUT somehow my money from my debit is on hold from this store. Been trying all day to speak to a human. What a joke! The image attached is what you get when you click the link from this google page to their website. Total scam!!! Calling North Dakota and New York attorney generals office to report fraudulent business!
Be very careful @this place n always check ur reciept.the item was advertised for less n i was charged more, spoke to the customer service their attitude was we put the wrong sign so what.contacted their main office n learned it is manager discretion .the usual run aroundCity law says customer will pay the price they see.looks like they dont know.
I had a really great experience last Monday, great customer service, especially the cashier who helped me with my coupons and all. super nice and super attractive lols. I dont know her name but she was Muslim I guess, never compliment anyone but she was mesmerizing. Will definitely visit again for certain someone;)
I must write this review right after going to BJs today and was impressed by their high level of customer service during turbulent times that we are all experiencing today. I had purchased goods from BJs. when i got to my car, i noticed something was missing. I knew for sure it fell out of my cart because it was placed on the bottom. I retraced my steps and went back in. I spoke with customer service and they immediately helped me out. So the policy is suppose to be that once you push your cart out of the store, it is not their responsibility and i understood that. The employee went to the manager and they review the video to see if i still had the merchandise when i walked out. I was ready to purchase another one anyway. It was my fault. But to my surprise, they replaced it for me even when they found out that i did in fact have it when i walked out. very possible scenario is that it fell out when i was pushing my cart across the parking lot and someone just took it. I was so happy and thanked them endlessly. Thank you again to the team at BJs! I will never forget this experience.
I bought beef from this bjs. The beef looked good and when I got home to wash n cook it, it was disgusting. They put a few nice pieces in the top and all the fat and bad pieces under. This isnt the first time this has happened but I figured it was a one off but Im noticing this isnt a one off. It is every deceiving and not right after you spend so much money on a pack of meat.
The people who are in charge of online pickup are very irresponsible. Theyre terrible at the orders as I placed an order this morning when I know my item was available. As I come during the afternoon to pick it up during the hours they have told me to arrive, they tell me order isn’t ready. Then as I start to shop I receive an email that says my item isn’t available as they had JUST started to do my order and fail to complete it. Customer service is terrible and they lack responsibility.
First, let me say, this is a big box store and if you havent figured THAT out already.....Overall, this location is convenient. Parking is pretty good too, even on weekends and not too bad during holidays. The store in general is clean. Im there a lot mostly on the weekends (at peak times) and while very busy, you still have room to browse and shop. Plus, there always seems to be PLENTY of stock. Once in awhile (as I have mentioned, I frequent there a lot weekdays, too). At times, because popular, you MAY run out of bagels. HOWEVER, this has only happened three times in the innumerable times Ive gone. In addition, Ive just gotten the attention of the baker in the back who was already on it, baking or finishing up with the newly baked batches of bagels to put out and so on. You just ask. Most of the employees are pleasant. Sure, I too, have encountered one maybe two (and honestly I have to REALLY think hard about that) employees who didnt seem pleasant. If anything, most have been accommodating and nice. Now, the one thing that I will agree with other reviewers are the long lines and wait. This can be and is very frustrating. And of course irritating. We ALL want to pay, get out of there and GO. Especially after a very large purchase of endless walking about in there (which is fine, but for some of us with severe chronic health issues) - I have whole body Arthritis; this becomes almost unbearable. On the other hand, we kind of have to expect this type of situation in stores such as this and especially peak times. Look at Ikea. Love the store but get to one of their NUMEROUS checkout lines and its wait city. Even some of your favorite grocery stores have become like this. Maybe not as extreme, but sure as heck a lot busier than say ten or so years ago. (Im 57 and remember much faster checkouts). Perhaps Administration needs to somehow brainstorm and come up with a faster checkout flow. This might make everyone happier.
A great variety of items and nicely placed out. There are sales associates present throughout the store to help you with any questions and help you with promotions. Theres also self check out and regular lines so that there is never too long of a wait time. Free parking as well and a Dunking Donuts inside the store for any coffee needs.
I was at bj today came home at around 7pm I got alka seltzer plus 72 when I checked the box home I noticed it was open from the bottom I counted how many is inside and it is only30 I was calling BJ and was on hold for 15 min no one picked up the phone, I usually never have issues till today, this review is only to warn people to check the item before they buy it.
BJs at college point has wonderful customer service, and product. The only thing that is preventing me from giving 5 stars is; though they are gracious and we are appreciative of having a senior hour, they need to work on having meats, chicken, fish etc...available at that time, as they do at regular hours.
We went early to you store I am 83 and my wife 70. When I tried to get in the man said I had get on the END of the line. We told him we were Seniors. He said all these people were seniors. The line went back to PC Richards as I was walking back I notice most were young people.. I told the man he told me he checked every one on line WHICH WAS A LIE. I even asked a couple a different people they said no one checked them. So I could not last that long and had to go home empty. So much for BJ courtesy with a liar representing BJs. I was not going to say anything but after a while it really bothered me that this guy gets paid a lies.Arthur
The prices are high. The store is messy. Many items dont have prices or they are in the wrong spot. It doesnt seem like the workers are out to help you. No way am I renewing my membership. Shop once at Costco and you wont go back. there is a shoprite a stones throw away with better produce and better prices. No club fees and no need to buy bulk.
So glad my membership expires in a few days. Even though I live 5 mins a away. I rather go to their Gateway branch in Brooklyn. The Asian lady that helps you at the end of the self checkout is so nasty and rude. I try to avoid her and the Indian lady at the return counter every time I go. Don’t want them to ruin my weekend. Love your prices and things you carry. But hate your staffs customer service. Bye Bj
The deli counter is always the highlight of a visit to BJS. The meats and cheeses are fine, but the servers are friendly and helpful. Prices are also great. I guess I sound like an ad, but really, the quality and prices, and especially the staff make it worth the trip.
I was just stunned to see such a massive and organized wholesale place. Anything and everything we need on a daily basis is available here. The price might be the lowest compare to others. The choices are huge and you can buy 1 case or 100 cases as you wish. The best part is it is always the freshest.
This BJ’s store like their customers to line up just to get a coupon book. In other BJ’s the coupon book is available on the rack near the customer service. Management needs rethinking how not to annoy their customers! And the people behind the customer service counter are grumpy! Wish it is legal to post their faces.
UPDATE: Had the most horrible experience @ this location a few Fridays ago. At the self check out register had a query for the worker manning this area. After getting her attention & that of everyone elses and making eye contact with her; on her way to me, shes stopped by an middle aged caucasian couple and just walks off to another set of registers, which is being manned by another employee & instead of alerting that worker & returning back to me or at least finding someone to assist me or just saying, please give me a minute, this young lady, Shemar...proceeds to ring up their entire cart, while in the self check out area.Been a BJs member 4, 14yrs from VA to NY, even endorsed them to a few people in Michigan once I heard theyll be opening a store there, & not before that day have i ever felt uncomfortable, angry or even the thought of prejudice from a worker, b4 that Friday evening. Also, they reportedly done have store managers onsite during evenings/night hrs, as per customer svcs.My review below still stands when it comes to all stores, but my personal experience with this store has certainly changed my mind as to its respect & responsibility to all its customers.Great place with consistent products, clean, pretty organized, restrooms on site for customers, several helpful staff, who knows where the products are located. Off street parking lot and bottle collection on site.As u see in my pics the book section is located in the corner of the store, with no signage. Thats not good. Only reason for 1 less star
8:55 PM - been on the phone for over 50 minutes waiting for anyone to pick up. First about 2 to 5 minutes of BJ commercials, and then just endless ringing - trying to deal with a grievous overcharge without having to come back to the store. At least speaker phone allows me to listen to endless ringing while doing other things.Perhaps this is a scheme to make sure that people come back to the store to settle issues and maybe buy some more things? Is it possible to give negative Stars for abysmal phone service??? The store is OK but my battery is about to run down & it looks like Ill have to go there in person. BTW the overcharge is $90.00 - we purchased one item for $9.99 and were charged as if we had purchased 10 of them!!!
This morning I went there and met one employee at the entrance, I asked him about the essential worker line as a Mta employee. He told me that I have to queue up like the others as I am not an mta official, such as transit cop. Is it true that as an Mta employee doesn’t has such a privilege?
A very large BJs carrying everything you would expect in bulk. Theres a deli counter, bakery, clothing section, etc. You can literally spend hours just browsing. It can get enormously crowded on weekends and the lines can get very long. There is also a very large parking lot but can fill up quickly.
BJs at College Point is back to pre-coronavirus at checkout. Everyone was on top of each other. I had to tell a man to stay back from me & another grazed my arm as he walked by me. The employee controlling the checkout line was telling people to go to certain lanes when there were already too many people on the checkout lane. Do better BJs!
Very slow location.... 1 hour in line to pay. If you are tired after work day..Dont go to this store to buy, because is really stressing.. and slow cashiers. I hate...!Minutes later I feel a complaint form.. and the page send me a error. Nice BJs.. see the last picture
This BJs Wholesale Club is my favorite.Plenty of places to park and many other stores in the area.I find that this BJs has all the items I need and at very good prices. The Deli Dept although busy on a Fri-Sun (p.s. avoid those deli lines and go on a mon-thurs) When I go on a Mon or Tues literally no one at the counter when I went to place my order...FYI a pound of BelGioioso Provolone Cheese is roughly $6.00 comparede to my Key Food $12.00..Cereals and pasta sauce Raos ($8.99 40oz) are excellent values..The frozen food dept has so much to choose from too from frozen dinners to just heat and serve meals..Best yet my favorite dept. Produce big bag of apples $4.99,big bag carrots $4.00,big bag of celery $3.99 organic lettuce big plastic container $3.99 what a big difference from your neighborhood stores...In the warmer months the blueberries and raspberries are sweet and delicious.Weekends there are always free sample tables to try out different items. The staff here I find to be the nicest seriously I havent found a negative employee here since I was coming here.
The customer service here is subpar. I called and there were massive background noise static while Bjs charge 20$ deposit on car battery and give back 5$ back for old car battery return. Makes sense? Nope. Ask for management and puts me on hold forever. Needlesstosay horrible policy and customer service, and im not even a chosenbeggar or Entitled. If it was for waterbottle, you pay 5cents deposit and when u recycle it you get 5cents but in car battery. Nah Bjs just like to scam people. Smh BJs
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SHOPPING AT BJS if you have a expired membership. Cashier doesnt tell your membership is expired and you will be charged 20% MORE YOUR TOTAL NOT EVEN TELLING YOU!!! BE VERY CAREFUL. THEY MAY DOING THIS IN PURPOSE BECAUSE YOU DONT EVEN GET A NOTICE WHEN YOUR MEMBERSHIP EXPIRES.
This is for your brave employee at bjs 20th ave . You have an employee whos allergy to mask and despite the risk he is still in the fronline bagging the grocery . I salute you derrick . To bjs management at least give him some faceshield to protect himself or just put him somewhere that he cannot deal with people . Anyway thank you guys for being there for us .
The receiving department sucks. No consideration to the drivers. Makes them wait hours after their appointment even after they knew a day or 2 before they were getting a truck. Truck drivers suffer due to computer logs and they have to get home the same day. Refuse deliveries if at all possible. This place is ridiculous
Worst place to go while on this pandemic ,people dont know what social distance is ,plus management dont care ,they just want to make the money.. Ill prefer to drive 60 miles where they really enforce social distance.Wont go to this one anytime soon, probably never again.
Shop while you get robbed should be this locations slogan. At least they have security guards and cameras right? False, the stores manager claims they just post signs on the wall to scare people. They only have cameras by the entrance of the store. So snag all the deals BJs has to offer while your car gets broken into and all your personal possessions get robbed.Costcos anyone?
Great wholesale place, and unlike Costco, they accept Mastercard and American Express. They also carry in my opinion a larger range of products, for example they have Evian water. However, prices seem higher than Costco, and the meat quality is lower, hard to find prime steak here.
This location generally has everything in stock. This location serves most of queens, being one of the few BJs easily accessible by highway and with plenty of parking. Unless youre early in the morning or late in the evening on the weekend, youre going to watch your milk spoil in the cart waiting to pay. Weekday is generally the same thing, less customers, also less cashiers. If you cant get out to green acres (after saturday their dairy section is usually out of stock - restock is Tuesday am I believe) or even better, garden city (always in stock, fairly reasonable wait) then college point it is. This is a location that is not even popular for anything other than its location. Just be prepared.
My debit card was used at this location without my knowledge. Ive never even been to this BJs.. below is some of the email I received from my bank......We have identified potentially fraudulent transactions that require your review and response. For your protection, we have deactivated the debit portion of your ***** Debit Card effective immediately pending your response. Please verify the following transaction attempt:· DATE: Mar 26, 2018; 13:55:28· AMOUNT: $269.53· MERCHANT: BJS WHOLESALE #0097· LOCATION: COLLEGE POINT NYPlease call the phone number on the back of your Debit card if you did not authorize the transaction noted above.Smh. Horrible
While shopping my vehicle was broken into while waiting for police 1 lady states hers was broken into twice within 6 months and 2 other gentlemen also have had there vehicle broken into. Its not worth going there if theyre not going to do something about there security issue
I had a telephone problem and on advise from Consumer Cellular I was told to go to BJ,s in Collage Point ,NY. I was met by a Mr. Chris from Tech Department . What a wonderful man. Very well trained ,very well educated , customer oriented and very professional. He solved all my problems in no time. Mr. Chris is just amazing. He is a real asset to great BJs Club. I STRONGLY recomend BJ,s for all family and personal needs. Mr. Chris thank you again. Victor
I belonged to Costco club before. Its the same idea, just that the brand (I think) is better at bjs. Thats why I changed and been happy ever since. It may seem that the prices are higher here compared to stop and shop, walgreens, kmart, and even Walmart I think. But you factor in the quantity of items in one package, usually 2-5 pieces per package, and the size of each item on the package, double the size of other stores, that price drops way low. All household items and some of the food items I purchase here.
Good location and easy to get through, still, it suffers the same insufficiency as costco: lots of some things, and none of others (no wine vinegars, only certain pastas, etc.) also, prices are rarely less expensive than your neighborhood supermarket. at the end of the day, your only advantage is being able to buy in bulk.
Only one i like to go to since 2008 But someone staff can be rude like in all places including some managers once my wife had an issue with her Bank of america card because it was The first time being used there and that Bank blocked it For security and The Manager treated us as if we had a stolen card even after using a different card he still made us feel bad. I just Ignore The staff since then!
This popular BJs location has plenty of parking during weekdays, but gets crowded easily on weekend afternoons. One plus - you can always park a bit further away by the connected Target lot. This BJs is the perfect place to pick up delicious dessert platters and rotisserie chicken for impromptu family gatherings.
I have NEVER been able to speak with anyone on the phone at the Whitestone Expressway location. I have been trying get for at least 70 minutes now and the phone kept on right give each time I follow the prompt. This part of their system is lacking proper supervision. The CEO and or COO needs to know about this problem. This lack is making good me go to their competitors. What a damn shame.
One of the worst wholesale stores. I asked where the chicken stock was and and a worker with no name tag looked at my wife and said “speak Spanish”? Looking confused at what we were saying. Then he says he works in the meats and walked away. Coupon didn’t scan despite clipping it hours ago.
BJs should look into getting different brands and things inside the store and having a great selection even though they have a good one for now like for instance carrying some of the things that other wholesale markets sell. This particular store in flushing no longer has a BJS owned/operated liquor store and is actually now run by a private company who has raised the prices of their liquor.
BJs is very greedy I used to be a good place to save money now cuz its summer time they raise the price on all the meat the trying to compare with local supermarkets its a Wholesale Club we pay money to shop there there is no wholesale prices anymore theyre trying to be the Home Depot of supermarkets what a shame go back to way it was buying in bulk club what a shame. Might try Costcos
I was there today spoke to a manager there was two mice running around... It scared the hell out of me and other customers...Talking to other customers they told me that they only buy packaged food because that store has mice. most of the cashiers act like theyre doing you a favor if they talk to you or answer a question with an attitude..

2022-05-18Its a good price. Especially paper towels, toilet paper, meat... Once you buy it, you can keep it for a long time. You can order cake, too.

2022-06-20A friend told me this Bj’s, had the hash-browns I liked; so I stopped by to pick them up. Please check the busy times so you can get in and out. There are more self serve registers than cashier assisted checkout. Hence, the reason, you want to be there when it’s not crowded.

2022-02-16Last time we went I went with my mom we spent a lot of money there . I called customer service and I told another associate about what happened that day with us. Three cashiers were on the phone and not helping customers and taking among themselves. When we asked for support at the register to scan the big things under our cart they all looked at us with attitude and started to throw things instead of putting them nicely. I tried to talk to the manager but the person was out for lunch then I called customer service to report them and avoid other people go though the same thing we did specially if you are buying more than 400$+ in this store. Customer service didn’t even resolve my issue and it is a shame such a big company that is suppose to train well their employees don’t even take in consideration complaints . These girls were so busy on their phone and talking that they double scanned most of my items in the car. So please people check your receipts and items. What a joke about customer service

2022-05-28Great deals and everything, also has a Dunkin Donuts. Cool and all but Im here to talk about something else. The massage chair. I came to Bjs today since its quite reliable in items and in all items but then i saw it. The massage chair. I sat in it and turned it on, and it actually worked unlike other stores where its just display. Never in my life had i ever experienced such a beautiful massage. I constantly have back pain and crack it a lot but right now i feel amazing. Am i going off track? Yes. But this goes to show the amazing displays of these items and how great Bjs is with product selection.Shorter version:10/10, came for the deals and items, will come back for the massage chair

2022-04-20Very well stock BUT, i spend over $1000. I had the cerva lotion in my cart 12 quantity and the cashier charge for 13 so I paid $22.99 extra ! Plus the guy at the door check my receipt and didnt notice that (whats the point of being at the door ????) I was in a rush of getting back to work so I only notice after meeting home and looking over my bill.

2022-05-18The people who work here are RUDE. They will not admit their mistakes. And they will blame you for their own inefficiencies. Their member services is a train wreck.

2018-10-04Great customer service! Variety of collection, very clean and organized! They have customer bathrooms and probably, the biggest free parking lot in the New York City. From grocery to household, they carry everything! Open until 11:00 pm. So, you can go shopping even late ! A bit busy during weekend . it is by the sea side! Whether feels a bit more humid during morning and evening hours !
