I know BJs isnt associated with Instacart but they should really think about dropping them. I Did same day delivery with them and the guy never came , I was notified that my order was delivered but Im convinced the guy just took our food. Tried to contact Instacart and send a report but I dont believe anyone real actually works there. Tried to call BJs but it seems no one likes to pick up. Last time I ever order from them or instacart.
I 💘BJS I go to Monroe NY, Because its not crowded the employees are courteous, very helpful, the atmosphere up is sssssooo refreshing!!! In the mountains!!! Its worth the trip and the time!!! Large parking lot!! Clean and its organized!!! Produce very 👍good!!! So is everything 😍else!!
Joined online during Covid. Have been with family to BJ’s upstate, great big store.Totally worth joining for the great prices on brand name products. Their own brand is solid and saves you even more.As if that was not enough reason to join, they also do delivery within 2 hours!!I’ve been using this service since quarantining began. Massive amount available for home delivery including meats, deli and dairy. Ordering online, the shopper, and delivery process has been a dream.Lovely people work here.Do your best to support local businesses – your community needs you!
The fact that member services does not answer the phone is a horrible inconvenience, especially when calling about a big bulk item that you dont want to have to carry all the way to the store without knowing all the proper protocols. My order never came and bj instead of helping me. told me they can’t do anything and told me to open a dispute with my bank cause they can’t do anything. I didn’t buy my item from my bank. I brought it from their online site not my banks sites. Horrible customer services and no help at all.See their response, heartless
Been a member since 2010. Came in tonight to buy beef, last minute to cook for my family. Just a pack of ground beef and lemonade. I usually scan a picture of my card. Today it didn’t work. Went to the desk so she could give me the temp id, she wouldn’t do so, said I needed my id or the card. Even though I had all the information of the primary holder name address and on my card, i had the picture and the picture of my id. I couldn’t even go home to get the card because she said they were closing at 10:00 it was 9:59. I went home upset. No burgers for anyone, then I remembered they give free temp passes to people. She couldn’t accommodate me? Acting like it’s a real club, like I was there to buy two things. They have always given me the temp pass even with no id as long as I have the info. Don’t know what she thought I was trying to rip them off or something? I’m there to literally give them money. I wasnt disrespectful in anyway, I just walked out with no options given. I will be going tomorrow to speak to a manager. Ridiculous.
I would have given it one star if it wasnt being decently cleaned as a wholesale store, good job to the cleaning crews. But this is where the good stops.The coupon booklet is a completely waste of paper and so inefficient it shouldnt exist in this age, in Costco and other wholesale stores the discounts are coupon-less, they are labelled on the price tags and are already in the system when you scan the items.But in BJs, you have to take the booklet, search for the coupons, rip the ones you need, then pray the scanning work, which is not going to happen at least 80% of the time. Then the booklet is useless and thrown away.The worst is their self-checkout system, I have been to many other stores and never ran into any problem with their self-checkout, but here is like they stuffed technology from the early 7-80s into newer boxes to imitate modern technology.You scanned the items in moderately speed (not even close to the speed of a normal cashier)? Oh no, many items will not be actually scanned into the system and you have to wait for the assistant to come and lift you off the pause, then backtrack to find out what items were and werent logged in. You never know when it will hit.The instruction of using the coupons in self-checkout is as easier as learning how to speak to turkeys (yes, the birds). Even if you followed every step, good luck, the coupons wouldnt work 80% of the time. All these time assistants there will just look into the empty space.Unless you want to hold up the line for another 10 minutes to hassle around the coupons, you may as well not to bother with them to begin with. Or better, get your business to other wholesaler with better systems.I really dislike leaving review with negativity, but this one kicked the balls too hard. This does not happened once or twice, it is a constantly problematic trouble we have faced at least 80% of the times we visited.
Member services had a line almost out the door and only one person working behind the counter. This is more a review of the management staff and whoever does the scheduling. Almost more than an hour wait for the order we made to be picked up. This is my Bj’s so I’ll write a follow up review once I see some improvement. Schedule your employees better and stop over working them to fit budgeting needs. Do better.
One star for the deli. I went to BJ on a Monday 4/26 evening, since its never busy on that day. I took my ticket for the deli when I arrive knowing that it take long for the staff to cut, which is fine, but once I finish my shopping the digital number display only moved two time I continue to wait, it was because they was training someone, which is fine. 20 minutes later Once it was my turn I ask for the Colby cheese, I realize that the price per pound was different so I asked if it was the wrong tag? the younger lady who attended me precede to ask the supervisor, Im guessing, she was older with glasses. Now here where I get annoyed, this older lady said nothing but went around the glass window change the price and then stare at us as if I dare you to say something now. Now after this point I figure I write a review on this lady actions through my time there.Before I was service, this Mrs. Glasses was complaining about lack of sleep, some comments about neighbors this and that etc., she was dragging her feet to work. This was her excuse for the slow service. She was annoyed with her work and everybody heard and seen it.There was about 10 people waiting with a ticket and she was complaining the whole time. Please check your staff. Especially if they not up to the task, let them go home.Here is my deli story. BEWARE of the lady in glasses. IF she there be ready to wait 30 minutes or more. I actually made a friend on line because he was waiting longer then I was.
Never come here on weekends; youll die before youre able to pay. Clean bathrooms; my situation was so bad they may have had to call a bomb threat because of the sounds I made in their stall. Will be coming back for the bathroom experience. Also, their fruit is rotten half of the time dont buy it.
Went into BJs around 12:30 just to get a bag of dog food and one or two other things they do not have any 10 items or less Express lines open,but I see they have new machines that they are not finished with installing them there saying that day off to be used as Express lines... so every other line has about a couple of thousand people on it with carts full of a lot of items so a person with a couple items cannot get out of there quicker you could have just made a sign on a piece of cardboard Express line and made one of the lanes for express because they had at least five lanes not open...thanks
Good that is not Crowder with people, and lines goes fast, but it has limited inventory and variety of items compare with others BJs and the Vegetable section you need to overlook them to get the more fresh ones, because not all the vegetables are very fresh. Hope they can improve inventory.
HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!While their inventory is great the aroma🤢🤮....I mean honestly why does the store (depending on what section youre in) smell like a combination of rotten meat and spoiled eggs? Not for nothing that smell is just down right pungent and offensive. Now lets move on to the cashiers that I had....Im sorry but they were the absolute WORST. Slow is faster than they were going...the young lady ringing was just oblivious to life and the other young lady who was packing the cart was moving just as sssslllllloooooowwwww because of the length of her nails. Overall this was an unnecessarily lengthy and unbearably funky process.DO BETTER METROPOLITAN AVE BJs...for the nostril safety of others.
Have been shopping at this Bjs for a few years now. Yesterday I had the pleasure to be helped by the Assistant Club Manager Freddy! Freddy was so kind and literally the most friendly employee! I must say his service left a smile on my face and a google review! Thank you Freddy for your extraordinary service and Bjs is blessed to have you as an employee!
Horrible service in the bakery department. Tried to place an order over the phone for a graduation cake that I already knew all the details for because I had filled out a form in store but was told not to leave it so ahead of time because the paper could get lost....so I called to make the order over the phone because of the lines outside due to COVID, I didn’t want to take the trip and bring my kids out just to place an order but the manager said no that I would still have to go in store to place the order. Some compassion would be helpful to make things a little easier.
I understand checking receipts is one of the policy’s but there’s needs to be a way to do this faster. The line was so long until the self check out line. People have things to do, we shop & we pay for what we need and need to get out fast. It’s like a prison. Shopping Carts should be on the side where you enter. & they need to fire the two old women with attitudes who are always at entrance who don’t know how to properly greet people who enter the store.
I was just diagnosed with covid-19. I placed a food order for 2 hour delivery so I wouldnt go out and hurt someone. 3 hours pass and the order says delivered, but nothing came. Tried reaching out to BJs for hours after and have been unable to reach anyone, except for one call. On this call, the person who picked up asked oh is your name hello? and then put me on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up. Its been 4 hours and no food and no one to reach out to for help. HORRIBLE customer service
Customer service is an embarrassment. Your whole job at the customer service desk is to help long time customers with any issues. The woman manager working the desk refused to provide any help for a long time business account member of 10 years. We have been going back and forth now for a third time with this front desk and they have been extremely unhelpful. It is frustrating and the front desk staff need to be trained around providing solutions instead of pointing fingers and shrugging their shoulders.
Been coming here for years and opened my first membership at this location. Huge parking lot, lots of goodies at great prices. The only gripe I have is during the weekends its rush hour when everyone shows up and the lines dont move. Spent close to 30 minutes just waiting to pay for merchandise and food items. Self-service is no better as not everyone knows how to use the scanners causing the line to be backed up.
Daniella C. Is the worst worker here!!! I stopped in a few days ago to pick up some groceries and I happened to use the self checkout. I had an issue with a coupon so I needed assistance and I had the horrible chance of having Daniella. She was super rude when she came up to me. She had the nastiest attitude and she lacks basic customer service. A game of 21 questions just for her to put my coupon through. I had the item so I dont know what the problem was! I reported her to customer service! I hope they fire her because she lacks common sense. I also believe she is a supervisor which I find hard to believe!!! IVE NEVER HAD SUCH A RIDICULOUS EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!
This is my closest location, but for the past few months every time I go, I have mouses running past me. This is a place we go to buy food for our kids and witnessing this makes me not want to obtain anything from the bakery or deli. Inspect your items well, however, they should get an exterminator there asap.
This is the 3rd Time i Have waited 20mins to check out. Cashier slow as hell and no management how about to handle customers problem. 1ST time it was Mexician Lady with her kids, cashier rang 2 items then she told the cashier to wait while she went to get new items from the aisle and hold the line for more than 15mins to get back everybody was mad the cashier just stood there and waited till she got back. n she only rang up total of 3 items and left, she was laughing on the way out. 2nd time. russian old couple spend over 15mins for a 1 damn item that they though it was the sale item which end it up calling the superviser and theyre wrong but kept on arguing and holding up the line. They should of take care of them in temp. lane meanwhile the cashier can take following customer. 10/13 Super Super crowed and, there were no express checkout. it was chaotic. all lanes were open but the line i was in. The cashier is SLOW SLOW. Everybody hehind me moved to different lane and ended up checking out before me, We waited over half an hr to get checkout few items simply because of poor management if cashier calling for VOID superviser should of come to help out. not 10 mins later. If you know it was that busy that day they should of prepare the changes.THey should MAKE a sign for Express checkout and Credit/Debit Lane only!!! so Mad .
I love Bjs just not this location I moved to the area 2019 I came to this location in 2019 I purchased some items thinking nothing could be possibly be wrong the food was nasty as if it’s been sitting for some time I never returned I recently returned last week 5/21/21 thinking it’s changed but it hasn’t the chicken horrible the freaking salad didn’t last in my fridge one night the cocktail shrimp made my daughter and I sick it had a bad smell I didn’t think it did or it even was the shrimp until I awaken by severe stomach aches “TMI” the passer out was green the tuna fish that comes like 8/10 in a pack some was really rotten some had a very unpleasant smell I bought other items but haven’t even open up them in hopes that I can return this mess I spent 160 something dollars and the deli oh my there was a smell in the air it smelled so bad but I didn’t smell it right away after I ordered I smelled it it was a strong bad smell cause a lady walked up and ordered then asked what’s that smell and the guy said something about it being the chicken however I should’ve just left from that point this is location is nasty 🤢 I will never return GATEWAY IS THE BEST!!
The place, like the mall itself, is not well lit and looks dingy. I am an evening shopper and too often the items on sale are not in stock. The floor help is nice, but not very knowledgeable about the location of items in other departments throughout the store. I wish the check out process was faster. Even small lines seem to move slowly. Cell phone reception is poor throughout the store, so, if you are trying to communicate with someone, be aware. Compared to other BJs, they run out of coupon books too early in the month.
Hire more people, left a store couple of times because lines for registers were just impossible. Recently waited for 45 minutes at a deli, one person cutting meat and cheese serving one customer every 7 minutes. If there was an option for no stars they definitely earned it.
I personally have a Costco membership but my friend has bjs, and many time I would tag along with him whenever he goes to bjs, one of the best thing about bjs is they have way shorter lines than Costco and most of the stuff I’m getting from Costco they have it in bjs as well. One thing that Costco stand out more to me is the food court, I love the pizza and Italian sausage Costco offers to it customer, it a good decent meal for a great price. But the lines in bjs it way shorter.At this location in middle village has a big parking lot and it free, that’s a big plus! Especially in NYC where parking is always a pain...
Im sure the store is good but the bakery customer service and their phone etiquette was not so much. The attitude is dry and not welcoming also responses are short and feels like the person was annoyed and I was being rushed off the phone. I just called at 1045 this morning and qas immediately turned off.
Clean place. Everything in order. Not a lot of workers around to ask for things youre looking for, you have to walk all the way to the managers desk (hence one less star). However the ones that you can find to ask are very helpful. They are very rarely out of items (and its a pretty busy store) and all items are up to date (nothing expired). All in all a good place to shop.
I was trying to resolve a problem with the front desk. Things were ok, then Staff asked me that I am pre-approved for the BJ CC. I said I dont want my credit report hit with a hard pull now. She said dont worry you are pre-approved you will be ok, it wont hurt my credit score. I asked please make sure of what you are saying and I will apply for it here now. She then confirm that knowledge of hers that She is right that it is a soft pull. I got the card. After I stepped out and drive home, I have got credit carma message YOU HAVE GOT A CREDIT CHECK , BANGGGGG. HARD HARSH PULL!!! WHAT A LIEEE!!! educate yourself! lieing for your own benefits does make you any good LADY , hope you read this. Incident happened 06.25.2020 7 PM!!! BJ Managers train your staff!
Has the usual warehouse club stuff. Service quality declining significantly and steadily since I originally joined 10 years ago. What happened with management, supervision, and training here? It has gotten so bad that when I have competent and cordial floor staff, it is the rare exception. Even staff at the supervisor desk is not immune. Seems either a sad or bitter environment. Did not always seem like this years before.

2022-04-05This is outrageous! I have been trying to call the Tire department for about a week now for an order status and haven’t been able to get anyone to answer the phone. They should really have a customer service department. This is crazy.! Tried different departments and no luck. I didn’t want to take a trip without knowing if they have received my tires order. I guess, I will have to. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

2020-10-03The store is located in the lower level of the Metro Mall. I had plenty of room to roam around the store. The entrance is separate from the exit which is great. The store was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of organic produce and vegan options. I will shop here again.

2022-05-31You need to update your butcher training. I been Buying at this 66-26 Metropolitan Ave BJs for a long time, lately the cuts of beef are irregular: Stakes are thinner on one end, not good for a nice cooking. The USDA choice stake four pack are not always the same, at least one of the four stakes gets chewy after cooking, and they come with a lot of fat around. Last few times I was there I saw the meet packed using double plastic container, that adds to the weight we pay for. The other cut of beef that I usually get is Porter House stake; but lately I haven been able to get any at this store, your cuts are very thin and that makes for a dry piece of meet when cooking; I would like to get what you had before, two porter house stakes in a pack, about 2 inches tick, evenly cut in one plastic container. I did complaint about that to the butcher, his response was that they do not cut the beef that way any more; and those are upper management orders he said. I do understand that there is a beef shortage, never the less you are not suppose to alter the weight by double stacking the container or alter the cut. I do have the cut of meet that I like in my refrigerator as of now, I been getting the cut from NJ and or PA, nice tick Porter House stakes in a single container.

Wegmans does not have a Club Price n still can afford not to increase EGGS. BJs has…. No community loyalty to its customers. Shop around price increases at BJs uncalled for, just greedy. 2022-05-17This club is seriously disturbing and nasty. I couldnt believe with my eyes when i saw rats running around produce area. Its horribly disturbing I wouldn’t trust a single thing in there. And these are not small ones. I spoke to one of the manger’s name Kimberly and she was very filthy with her mouth. She has a horrible attitude and doesn’t know how to speak to people. The thought that she is even a manger is very disturbing.

2022-04-30The deli area for cold cuts is horrendous. Even if you order online, there hasnt been one pleasant experience. They have either forgotten to prepare it or have it and havent placed it in the pick up area.

2017-12-23I give this place a 4 1/2 star rating overall. You can not give complaint about BJs wholesale prices. You get nice saving on most items. I always recommend to do your research as well because not everything is a smart savings. Just use your smartphone apps on barcodes of items and you can see if anyone has it for less. Staff is mostly helpful when asked.
