BJs Wholesale Club in other cities:
This service was terrible, they were flirting in the back and barely ask me how my meal was or if i wanted a refill. The waiter was judging me and i felt uncomfortable, the spaghetti and meatballs tasted like sticks and grass, would not recommend. If you wanna have a good day don’t come here don’t even take out, save your money. If you can’t cook it’s better than what you’ll get. My cousin was so close to ask for some salt, garlic powder and onion powder.
Me and my family needed help in the cashier area and thankfully we did by this blue hair girl that got an attitude, but maybe she’s having a bad day, poor girl😂. but for the whole store i’m going to give it a 4 star rating but for that blue hair girl gets a 1 star rating ☺️.
My family shops at this BJs at least once a week! The store has all our necessary goods, it is tidy, spacious, and always stocked. The customers are also friendly! I know shopping can be stressful but shopping here help alleviate my stress! I think the only improvement I can recommend is organizing the shopping carts outside. Sometimes it takes a while to find one but that lets me know how busy the place it!
Me and my sister decided to stop while driving by, instead of going home and going to one close by home in long Island. This was iur worst experience ever shopping at a BJS store. It was all due to a manager there by the name of Shakeel, he has nothing professional about him to be working in customer service, resolving issues or even having simple conversation with customers. We cash out, everything went through the scan and price was quote to us as we scanned, mind you we had the assistance of 2 employee because of issues were having scanning the items. We cash out, when we got to security we were told rudely some of our items werent scanned. That was when the Manager was called Shakeel. Trying to ask him questions as to why, he kept saying relax, relax with and aggressive attitude. We remain calm. He dropped my donut on the floor then went on the put it back our shopping cart, I had to ask for it to he removed. Asking questions he let us know angrily, he should not even be going through this and he can go run his camera. My sister in returned replied and let him know, if something is wrong this is your job, what do you mean. He repeated exactly what he said the 1st time, as if insinuating were stealing. We had to get loud and tell go rum his camera. Him Being the disrespectful manager he is, walked away cursing at us without even resolving the issue. I was only able to get his first from a staff, Shakeel. My worst experience, due to a staff/manager who clearly needs training on customer service
This bjs is conveniently located off sunrise highway by the border of queens. Prices are equal to other bjs, which are good. The store is fairly clean and features public restrooms and a small food court. At times they have a person standing before you leave asking if you want work done to your house. This bjs has people who check your receipt, the fake job of looking at the 45 items in your cart and knowing what missing after looking at 100 receipts before you. This line to exit makes it difficult to leave. The major downside of the bjs is register personell. Dont get me wrong, the cashiers are friendly, but to deal with the amount of people that visit this store lines are tremendous. I lived near this bjs for about 15 years and still drove to a further bjs due to this, however the one in Westbury isnt much better. Try Levittown or Farmingdale. This bjs also has a tire section. I made the mistake of ordering tires online. There is a compatibility chart of matching their tires to your car. I found some that did and ordered them. I came in a few days later and they said they werent in. Then they called and said they were in and I went there, the tires wouldnt fit my car. This was clearly a website issue, but it cost me about 10 days. This rating is in no reflection for all bjs, just the disaster bjs that is located in valley stream.
I love shopping @ the valley stream location but today I came to the bjs in Garden city and what I like and love about this location is that they have reserved parking for parents with infant!!!Valley stream should do the same and have parking reserved for parents with infant
Route I took to get to store95 North through George Washington Bridge. Then take 6A for Highway 678 South (Whitestone). Follow 678 South until you get to the exit for the airport. Stay to the right coming off ramp because you will take exit D which puts you on 150th Ave. Go to end of 150th Ave and turn right onto 134th. Turn right on South Conduit. South Conduit is literally side by side with the beltway ( No commercial trucks allowed on beltway low clearances). Take South Conduit to Green Achrs. Turn right. Take right at traffic light located at store. Go around the right side of the building where the tire center is. Docks are on the left. They have no issues unloading water. I had a full load of new shopping carts double stack and no one including the managers wanted to take the time to unload it. I literally was there from 11pm until 830am the next morning going back and forth until they finally got it over with. Only took the gentlemen that finally said he would 45 mins to unload the truck. They also ripped 2 of my load straps. I personally will not return but they will send you straight to the dock if you have water or half a load of carts.
I’ve been coming to this BJ’s for years. They have definitely took a turn for the worse. Always crowded, under staffed. They hang up on you and do not answer the phones.I put a deli order in, I specifically stated no ham on the platter or the sandwiches. I send someone to pick up the food and bring it to the event. Can you guess what’s on all the food??? HAM!!!!!!!! I had to run around and order other food. Then get up and go back to BJ’s to complain. You cannot under any circumstance make that type of mistake with handling food. I made it clear that the deli worker needs to be held accountable. They returned my money and gave me a $25 gift card.
I live in the surrounding neighborhood and went to this location on Saturday April 11. I got there at 645am and was the 13th person in the line and it was 40°F and winding. At 8am they allowed the senior citizens to go in and rightly so considering the pandemic. The problem was that everyone wore a mask and even though many seniors had someone with them. They also allowed health-care workers to enter too with a show of ID.At 9 am we thought that they would close off the other door that the seniors entered through and now allow other people to enter. That was not the case here so a little lady with the strength of Samson got furious and went up to the door to find out why we werent being let into the store and that we were cold and had been standing out in the cold for hours. They young man who claimed to be the manager told her to move away from the door and that no one had told us to be standing out in the line from 630 am. Who the hell says that? If we dont shop, he doesnt get paid. The customers that keep the business afloat are the most important component of the success of any business and must be treated with respect. A simple Im sorry, we know its cold and please be patient would have sufficed. We are all aware of the pandemic in this country. People are dying while others are scared. Our new normal is now to wait in lines and to practice social distancing.......we get it, but treat us better. As consumers we have a choice were we spend our $$.
Ordered an appliance and called the store to verify that they received it. It was confirmed that my order was received and its being processed. On the way to pick up my order it had been canceled. The item was no longer available. I requested if there was something similar to what I orderd and was placed on hold. Someone else came on the phone and I had to explain myself again just to be told no they cant help me... WOW REALLY... i was hold for quite some time.
The manager at this location is very unprofessional. Very rude. The coffee machine fell on my husband feet. He never make it a priority to come and see my husband. I had to go get him after waiting there for a while. When you do come to the scene his actions was very disappointed. My husband went to the emergency room with a big gust and bleeding from him wound he sustain in Bjs wholesale valley stream. No one has contacted us or show some support.
This has got to be the worst run store I have ever been in. The lines are ridiculously long and it takes longer to check out then to shop. Today was the worst. The lines were all the way to about a quarter of the way of the store. I complained along with a few other people, and was told a lot of people called in sick. Well most of their checkout is self serve, which is also incredibly time consuming because the scanned coupons dont scan properly. I just walked out. I never have this problem at Costco.
On Sunday, June 7th I went into this Bjs location a little after it opened. It was my daughters birthday and I had pre-ordered a cake on Friday so that the pick-up process would be faster and that I could receive the cake around when the store opens (9 A.M). Upon arriving there was obviously a line due to the new pandemic norm however, I was able to get in rather quickly. The problem arose when I went to the bakery to pick-up my daughters cake. I spoke to a young man over the bakery counter in the back and asked him about my order stating that I had a 9 A.M pick-up for a cake I had pre-ordered. He said rather rudely that they didnt have that order there despite the fact that I had a confirmation number. I asked if he could come a bit closer so I could show him the confirmation number or at least relay it to him so that I could have this situation resolved. He remained in the back and again, he rudely said that he couldnt because he didnt have a mask on. Mind you, he works in the bakery area around food, why doesnt he have a mask on especially during a health crisis? I simply said that if he maintained the required 6 feet that there would be no issue but he brushed me off and told me to just fill out a form (a cake order form which I had already done online and had a confirmation number for) and paid me no attention. In addition to this individual, there were two young women behind the counter WITH masks on that couldve come over to assist me but instead chose to stand there and watch the situation unfold.Thankfully, the very kind baker by the name of Patrick came over (with a mask on) and asked me if I had any issues and helped guide me through the process of filling out the cake order form. His professionalism was a stark contrast to his fellow co-workers and in my opinion its employees like these that help uplift a company and keep costumers coming back.Afterwards he personally took the cake order to the back so that a young lady (one of the young women who stood and watched the previous situation unfold) could write Happy Birthday on the cake. I stood there for almost 30 minutes waiting for her to bring out the completed cake and when she came out, she just tossed the cake on the counter and walked away. The level of un-professionalism just kept on coming. I asked her politely if she could put just 2 roses on my daughters cake and I got a hand to the face. I was stunned that someone could be so rude and dismissive to a customer especially since it was out of no-where and gravely uncalled for. I work in customer service as an essential worker and despite the stresses that come from being in the middle of a pandemic, a mutual respect is needed between both parties not what this young lady displayed to me.I went to the manager on duty named Yesenia to make a complaint and she personally walked me over to the bakery so that I could get just 2 small roses on a cake. Afterwards I was walked to customer service and she checked me out. The fact that these events could even occur is so problematic. After this encounter I dont think Ill ever return to this location, much less shop at a Bjs again.
On 10.07.17 I replaced all 4 tires of my car with brand new ones at BJs Tire Center at Firmingdale (I had a very pleasant experience there). I went the next day, on 10.08.17, for a 50 mile-follow up (torquing) at BJs Service Center at 125 Green Acres Rd. When I explained the purpose of my visit, the mechanic, a young guy, seemed surprised, as if i were speaking Greek. Shrugging off my purpose of the visit, he confidently said, all you need is a 6000 miles rotation and nothing else. When I reiterated that I was told at the other location I would need a 50-miles follow up, he rather rudely said, you heard it wrong. You would need tire rotation, he repeated, and only after driving 6000 miles.A long story short: Supervisor came a few secs later and did what I needed (took hub caps off all tires and checked the tightening levels of screws). When I asked about the mechanic, the supervisor simply said, hes new. No apology, no saying sorry.Being new is normal, but being smug is not.
I wish I could give 0 stars. This BJs is the worst! I have only been here twice and it is enough to say that I will never return. The parking lot is small and dirty. I waited almost an hour, an hour! to pay. This things should not happen, I shouldn’t have to travel outside of where I live to get better service.
On two different occasions I received poor customer service. I cant wait for my membership to expire. The female manager think that attending to a customer she is going out of her way. The cashiers are wonderful but the representatives at the customer service area needs training. I now regret switching from Costco
This clubI would not recommend I find them to be very inappropriate the staff especially when youre leaving the store and showing them your receipt they are very overzealous Ive been to other BJs in Long Island in Garden City a much nicer one and I did not experience this they seem to to take their jobs a bit too serious and its inappropriate I was even going to report one of them to corporate do not come here save your money this is not a good BJs and their stuff is old and they just dont have a lot of stuff on the shelf
Ordered tires about a week and half ago. They were suppose to be there at the store by Friday August 7th (4 days ago) been trying to reach them by phone they answer after 20 mins only to hang up instantly. I’m calling my bank and cancelling the payment. Bunch of clowns don’t even bother with them.
The manager is the worst! Bought some muffins and the seal label was missing, when I tried to get it exchanged/ return she said they were not accepting it and refused to refund me my money. I guess I have a money tree that I didnt know about! Every single dollar counts these days and the mistake was not even on my end but bakery department.
Very poorly kept store. There was a shelf with canned tuna that I guess had broken at some point during transport and nobody on staff even noticed. The broken cans and everything around them were infested by live bugs. It was horrible. For 20 minutes I tried to flag down the store employees but there was nobody around. On my way out of the store I saw 3 managers busy chatting it up and they acted completely clueless.
The manager or supervisor Claudette if that’s her right name attitude stinks, she was disrespectful on 3 different occasion.(1 ) I bought a pergola that weigh over 250lbs and needed help to put it on a cart, she said there’s no one to help me and I got-to do it myself.(2) she make a big stink about me using a manufacturer coupon.(3) I bought some groceries and when I got home I realize that I didn’t have the orange juice, I check my receipt and saw that I paid for it so I return to the store and explain to them and show them my receipt they created a scene even pulled up the surveillance tape showing me that I paid for it and it wasn’t there after I left so I must have left it in the cart, they dealt with me like a criminal!!WILL NOT SHOP HERE OR RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP, SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT AND GO TO TRADER JOES WHERE THEY DEAL WITH PEOPLE WITH RESPECT..(Claudette) IS BAD FOR BUSINESS
Bj valley stream needs to post on website first responder hours senior citizens are just as important I will never renew my membership this club is being run a immature people the lines run around the store front end management not doing there job cashiers talking we’re is store management drinking. Coffee in the office upstairs what a waste of a store
The whole point of ordering online is to save time. I received a text message that my order is ready for pick up, even waited another 1 and a half hours before i actually went to a store. Took 30 mins to get my order, if I had not followed up they would have not moved a muscle . Worst, one item was not available and they thought it was okay to just get the incorrect flavor. What a waste of time!
Yesterday, I went to fill my propane tank. They said the guy wasn’t available. So the next day we went again. Then they said “according to the law, we cannot fill your tank when it’s raining”. It was a very light drizzle. We looked on the internet and there was no law. We searched it up and it said they can fill it up but when it’s raining, people don’t want to get wet so they come up with this law. Very disappointed, but the bjs on Stewart Ave is the opposite, nice staff and everything.
This specific BJs located in the Green Acres mall is just a mess. The checkout lines are horribly long and disorganized. You will spend more time waiting on the lines than you will shopping. Their coupon system is also a mess. They are almost out of things that are on sale. I went there to get some mobil 1 oil but they only had a few boxes of 5w 30. They didnt even carry the valvoline that was also on sale. With the exception of a few managers there the staff is just rude, disengaging, disrespectful and flat out lazy. A lot of workers there just have a poor attitude and work ethic. This is a very busy location and I almost always regret shopping here. Their return policy is no where near as good as Costcos. I will not be renewing my membership once it expires.
They are okay. Wrong items with wrong prices. They would have items in the wrong place. Also, some items have no prices. Oh and they will NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Try calling and check it out if you want. I called 13 times for the past two days and no one ever answered.
The lines are always too long. You literally need to stand in a line to get to a register line due to the poor design of the store. I own vending machines and shop there frequently ONLY because the location is so close to my machines. They are not consistent in their supplies, you never know for sure they will have what you need! I wish SAMs Club would open nearby. Without real competition they DO NOT CARE!
I believe that the staff needs to be trained more whereas to packing the groceries in the carts instead of throwing it in the cart also they need to be able to identify what products needs to be set aside and not be squeezed. Hospitaity to customers lacks a lot. For a wholesale club they lack professionalism employee to customer.
Whats the point of curbside pick up if they take more than 30mins and never bring out your item, customer service is worst and dont even care, waited 30mins for propane one day and the person never came out , customer service just gave a refund, ignored the fact that i was waiting so long worst bjs in the neighborhood
Everything was fine. Except one day I was shopping celery there. I noticed it was 1.59 but they charged me at 1.89. that was not a big deal. I was thinking they were changing the price at that time. But when I second time shopped there. They charged me 1.99 when the tag showing 1.89. Third time kept same. I fell so bad. If these could be charged difference every time, does it mean the other could be treated same? Does it mean I have to worry about if I was overcharged every time I shop there? So bad.
Customer service is horrible! No one picks up the phone and when they finally do, they hang back up on you. No one picks up in the tire center either. So if you ordered something and want to know if it arrived, you’ll have to make a trip up there without any confirmation. So unprofessional!!!! Why have phone numbers if no one answers the phones???!
My concern is what is their problem with helping people? I had had this employee get annoyed because we had issues on the express line. She rudely decided not to help us! Every time we go there some of the employee gives us nasty looks which make usfeel pretty uncomfortable. I will never recommend this place due to this racist and terrible experience!
The atmosphere of this location is synonymous with the the environment of the city of Queens. It typical of the fast pase filled with hustle and bustle NYC. Navigation in the parking lot is very exhausting because of the aggressive arrogance of other motorists. Upon entering the club, the setup is similar to other clubs. The family restroom 🚻 was much smaller and a staff member was a bit assertive but helpful. At first, I though it was a sign of lack of professionalism but looking back this staff was just doing what the responsibilities of the position required. The checkout process was not quick but this is similar to other clubs.
To have a successful shopping experience here, you must get here when they first open in the morning, and youre just getting a few items. Seriously, if you need to go to BJs for anything else but propane refills, consider another location. Then again, if you like this one, stay here. Dont come out to mine in...
If you can avoid this BJs, please do so. The employees that work there make this BJs one of the worst I have patrionized. The deli department has these two females that work there ... they dont wear hair nets, have hair hanging all down past their shoulders and are very rude.As they are preparing your order they are talking to each other, spitting as they speak. One girl blew her nose in a napkin and didnt even change her gloves.I wish I was a manger...they would be gone in that moment.
Special offers on Sea food & Sweets were a great pullar, Lotsa deals on Bar B Que collection too, Cant keep listing everything but every visit here is great as last oneGrocery: Great as always, I Love the Bakery here, Can get multi packs of iced coffee from Starbucks which are not available at this price in other large stores. Juices, spices, dressings. Raw material, everything is better than other stores close by.Really good selection of meats & greens.Other Stuff: Good offers on gadgets & furnitures along with OTC Drugs.Employees: Always decent & helpfulParking: SpaciousLines: Very long on weekend, So try & go on weekdays
Staff in the deli dept requires training , today I met John and Carlos . John after serving his customer just left to unpack boxes said not a word , i am just standing there , Carlos the server is unprofessional, races, completely ignores customer, says nothing states he does not have to speak then why is he not working with machines or canniver ? He should not be on the frontlines interacting with human beings. He also has no respect for those in authority. Informed by manager this is not his 1st incident. Then why is he allowed to be disrespectful to customers n insubordinate to his manager. Carlos u belong with ur races n unprofessional behavior loading n unloading trucks or the morgue where all are mute. Which I could give u a below zero score carlos shame on you .
The WORST location Ive been too. Regardless of time of day consistently LONG lines. Currently in line for 40 minutes. 10 registers out of 24 open. Lines in the isles. This is standard. Poor management during peak times. It seems every hour of every day its open is peak. I avoid coming here although its closest to me, whenever possible.
Too few workers. Generally long checkout lines except during very early and very late hours. Product selection lacking relative to other BJs stores. Somewhat dirtier than other BJs stores. Bottle deposit machines generally out of order. When they do work, usually commandeered by people with entire cartful of bottles. To add insult to injury, this store shuts the deposit machines off two hours prior to closing. Fruits and vegetables are usually either past their prime, or very badly shipped and handled to a point where they are realistically unusable. I have found mold on tomatoes here. I shop here because the Wal-Mart across the parking lot...is even worse.
I went to bjs expecting excellent customer service but instead the employees are rude and lazy. The deli department is freaking horrible i been waiting for one hour just to put in my order and they are under staffed and verrrrrrrrrry slow. Also they are dirty, i have watched three different staff members cut atleast 4 people meat and cheese using the same gloves. The female deli staff member was scratching her arm and rubbing her face and then proceedes to cut someone meat and cheese with the same gloves she been using since i got here. The guys back there are equally as dirty they were touching the deli door which is very dirty and cutting everyone meat and cheese with the same damn gloves. Thank god i dont eat cold cuts or else i would have yelled at them to change their gloves and stop talking over my meat and cheese.
I came here a few times. It is true that consumers can save money on some items by buying them in bulk at wholesale clubs like this one. However, it is also true that many food items will spoil if you cant finish them fast enough. Since I dont have a large family, I personally dont see much value in shopping at a wholesale club like this one.
Terrible, the Express Line for only 8 items takes forever! Its not Express at all...The store is clean, well organized, with good produce, but the staff have no energy at all and many are not friendly and arent helpful at all either is like they dont want to be there!!!!!! Check out other locations.
This BJs needs to improve on answering their phones sometimes they dont answer and sometimes im on the line for 30 minutes with no answer or it just hang up thats poor demonstration of customer service. And from the look of these reviews it says employees have poor attitude and lines are long. BJs? Are your employees happy? Please fix these problems it is affecting your business.
I shop here at least once a week and it doesnt get better with the cashiers I was told to leave everything in the cart even though I put it up the cashier didnt stop me then when it was my turn to cash I had to put everything back in this was the speedy checkout its fustrating some some chashiers make u take everything from ur cart for the speedy checkout seriously they need put a sign or something and another problem twice was ppl cashing over 8 items twice in the 8 items or less line I did this once and the cashier refused to cash one milk on another bill saying they cant do it I have to join the regular line I understood that then but when I saw they did that another time for another customer I didnt understand that then my point is what goes for one should go for all y does it work for one person and not the other ??? Im going to change my member ship The system doesnt change and its fustrating......
Its BJS! As if I need another reason. LOL. Only reason why I have it 4 stars is because of the reconfiguration of the parking lot at Green Acres. Its disastrous. But get there early and ur out fast. Always clean, the staff is helpful, my items are always in stock. Went hunting for Welchs Tangy Fruits Fruit Snacks to no avail. Walmarts sold out...these things are ADDICTIVE. I may hv to cheat w/Costco but BJS is my 1st love.
I gave it a one because all the worker there are really rude and a racist because if your espanic or latin they are really rude to you they don’t even care.If you go on the express line and you have less than 15 items they tell you that you have more than 15 so you can wait a longer line. They don’t even help you on anything even if you need help. That why I rated it a one and that the valley stream bj is the worst.👎😐
Absolutely terrible we were on line for over 30min on a Sunday morning at 10am there only 7 register open one of the customer complain to the manager and she told her that she has nobody to work the register i will be looking in to this matter alot more valley stream B J IS THE WORST OF ALL OF THEM B J whole sale should be ashamed of them selves 10/16/16
This is the worse place ever,I had to wait 2 hour just to check out,the managers that are there, are idiots,Im supprize this location is open with the way how they operate, you would think that they would open more registers on Saturday since its so busy, customers had to the job the manager supposed to do,these people like to stand an get paid,I had little kids with me and had to spend additional money for them to have some to eat in the store,we have other things to do than to wait for 2 hours in line, the company seems not to care ether,as long they get there money,to hell with the customer and the wait time to check out as long we get paid
Been going need for about a year I always find what I go for however I dreaded when it comes to the time of me having to check out because the line are ridiculous I always go to self check-out and anytime theres an employee at a self-checkout they have disgusting attitudes.

2022-04-14This BJs lost its value. It used to be clean but now its dirty, the parking lot is absolutely disgusting, trash is pulling up near and by the front entrance. Mind you I just visited it after two years since I moved away. I thought it would get better but wow, its absolutely horrible. The inside of it too is not clean. It was so bad that I had to ask for them to send out a maintenance crew. Maintenance crew came and changed the garbage bag for the bin near the front door and the rest stays. Just imagine their restrooms or worst yet, imagine where they are storing the food you buying to feed your family. Im sure there are plenty of health violation inside, just by looking at the outside. I have not seen a Bjs this bad.

2022-05-19Just shut I down and rearrange the staff and management entirely, from weird/creepy employees to 0 customer assistance, theyve got it all alright. God forbid you have to call them about something too, they either dont answer or pick up and hang up. I will admit theyre are some good employees that work here that are amazing, but overall this place needs a severe overall/rework, the absolute worst bjs ever.

2022-06-27I have been going to Costco for many years so my membership was ending soon so I decided to try out BJs and I must say this location is apsolutely messy the parking lot is a mess carts everywhere, circulars everywhere and the inside of the store is messy as well boxes are all over the floor. This is not a good look for this company. Please we need Improvement, this store definitely needs a lot of tidying up.

2021-07-08Creepy employee followed us. This was my second time shopping here. The first experience was great, there was variety and good customer service. The second time, we went shopping we were in full uniform from our jobs, fresh from a work shift. My husband noticed we were being followed. We ignored it. By the time we left, we spent about $1200.00, we had 3 carts full. We were stopped and told our backpacks had to be searched. We asked why? We were told it’s store policy to search everyone’s bags. As we watched people walk by with bags not being searched, I told the 2 men that they should treat all of their guests the same way.The man that was following us approached us with his phone in our faces as we asked him why are you following us? He continued to make accusations and followed us out of the store.BJ’s, don’t lose your customers by accusing people of stealing and having creepy men follow your guests.

2022-04-29Quick in-and-out will with self-checkout
