Last time I visited this place three years ago. If I compare their foods between three years ago and now foods taste has been changed , I dont know their chef changed! Or no !! Seems like they increased the price, if I would say their customers service It would be 9/10. Restaurant environment was pretty good. Kids friendly environment
We literally just left the restaurant and I just couldnt wait to do this. We went here for Fathers day dinner. The staff was super friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the rack of lamb, crab fried rice, chicken fried rice, and drunken noodles. Everything was cooked to perfection, and I mean everything! The drinks were great too. The ambiance was also a plus. The only thing that we didnt like was that we felt rushed through our meal - but it may just be because of the holiday weekend. Will definitely be back!
Amazing restaurant with great take out and dine in options. Dine in: place is enormous, with a large well lit room and a bar in the middle. You will find yourself in a calm and ambient atmosphere with plenty of space and comfort. Even when the restaurant is packed. Their menu is amazing, authentically Thai. People who work there are warm. If you do take out - easy, precise and always perfect.
Great find in bayside queens. Quality A+ , Taste A+ , Service A+. Reminded me the authentic thai food taste i had in thailand 2 years ago. Must try BKNY sea food mix special and Lobster tail fried rice. Oh how can i forget the tom yum soup. I warms you up just right in a winter night.
This has been a series of disappointment, as in the last few months, every time I ordered for takeout, the food tasted plain at best, stale at worst. Despite the fact that I repeatedly asked to make sure that food is tasted what it is supposed to be tasted, my request hasn’t been met, and today was the last straw! First, the lady who answered our call sounded very rude, and when I asked for extra hot sauces and jalapeños, the lady literally grumbled by saying that she put one already! Furthermore, I found two hairs in my food, and now me and my wife aren’t feeling well and we are suspecting that they might have spitted into our food, thinking that we are the annoying customers! We’ve been going this place for a decade, but this is it, as we firmly decided that we will never, ever set our feet in this place. This place does not even deserve one star, but since the lowest I can give is one star, I’m going with but this place deserves zero star!
Real authentic thai spot in the city. Awesome guest service, food was just too good overall had a great experience. Will be back :) keep up the good work guys.Dec’2021 update-Got here almost after 4 years!Still one of the best place to try Thai foods👌Service , food, atmosphere everything is just on point like always!
Food was Ok. They were having some wedding when we went there. Calamari was crisp and tasty. Pad thai chicken and shrimp both were good. Fish cake was a store bought so dont order it. Curry soup was tasty as well. Always get thai ice tea when you go there. They are so delicious. Overall we spent over $100 so once a year going there is ok but not every month. Overall atmosphere was Ok. Not too crowded. All employee wear masks and gloves for covid safety. Would recommend going once a year.
Food is great! It would have been a five star rating but the entrees arrived very shortly after our appetizers! Had a party of six and didnt have a fair chance to enjoy them! Had to brown bag a lot of them. Hopefully its just a one time event!Plus the place wasnt packed where sometimes restaurants try to speed you up.
The interior of this place is fancy and well decorated but the food did not match up to the mark. I felt like the food was a bit overpriced comparing to the taste and quantity. The crispy calamari fry was really good and recommended. Also ordered thai juices but it felt like it was poured straight out of juice boxes and with that price you can actually buy to boxes of juice from a grocery store located nearby. The waitress actually chased me at the end because we put all the tips in one card and not in all because we split the bill.
One of the best Thai food I ever had.I recommend the pad kee mao and any of the curries. They were both so flavorful and delicious. I like that they made it pretty spicy when I asked for it. The lychee sangria was amazing as well, although a bit pricey. $14 for one glass is extremely highly considering that the food is around the same price, it should be less. The tables and ambience was very beautiful. You can come here for a fancy dinner or date or even just for lunch. Its great for either. I will definitely be coming back!
Four stars for the quality of the food and drinks, not necessarily the experience.Food & cocktails were great, absolutely delicious. The downside was how hot it was inside the restaurant (almost 80 degrees inside). If it had been a little cooler it would have been more enjoyable. It wasnt crowded, so I would recommend the waiters check with the tables every so often...I never saw the waiters go to the tables around us (ours included) to ask if anything was needed. If he had, we wouldve ordered additional drinks / spent more money but we couldnt even get his attention to order anything else.
First time hearing about this place and I must admit it was very good Thai food. They have an extensive menu and the prices were very affordable. I ordered a Long Island ice tea as my drink, wings as my appetizer and Tom yum noodle soup as my entree, all did the job. The wings were nice and crispy. I wasn’t much of a fan of the sweet chili sauce, I ended up replacing it with something spicier that was really good. The Tom yum soup had just the right amount of spice and flavor. The service was okay, could have been better, there would be long periods of times where I couldn’t find my waiter.
I would honestly give this place 0 stars but it won’t let me post without choosing one ! Hostess was disrespectful and rude. The guy that works at the checkout area was even more disrespectful and rude! He literally was yelling. This isn’t somewhere I’d recommend. If your customer service isn’t good, your service isn’t good then what sense does it make. If you don’t like your job find another. Don’t disrespect me and my family. What’s racist place ! This is a huge concern.
Went for a birthday dinner. It was nice. Very organized. All the food came out at the same time and it was around 8 of us. The food was decent. Id go again. They have this nice round turntable in the middle that you can turn to share food easily. Nice for a family night or party. Visited in 2019 so old review.
This place doesnt have Drunken noodles. But they have crispy noodle, which is not very crispy after getting drowned by the sauce. Crab fried rice lacks flavor profile. It needs shallot & garlic. Pad see ew was ok. The chicken with sticky rice deal was not too appealing but my son ate it all. The fried ice cream was great.
Im a regular here. Ive celebrated three of my birthdays here and each time I was extremely pleased with the service. Whenever my relatives visit from Switzerland or anywhere in the States, we dine at BKNY. Classy restaurant, excellent service, and delicious food. Im starting to feel like Im related to the staff members.
1st time tried this place in the restaurant after tried their take out of mango sticky rice dessert from my girlfriend. We called an hour before we went there on Friday night and there were seven of us and great that we had more people to come together and able to try more varieties. I love Thai food in general and this place is good and carry authentic Thai taste. The Tom Yum Soup is just right with sour and spicy taste and not over killed your taste buds with hot peppers. Pad See Ew with seafood was good so did the Pineapple fried rices and Crab meat fried rices. We ordered many appetizers, Thai chicken wings, calamari, spring rolls, fish cakes and just simply delicious!
Visiting this restaurant almost after 2 years and the food is still as delicious as before. They have quite few vegetarian options available and amazing drinks. The parking is a little hassle but after coupon rounds got a spot. We were taken in right away , the tables are 6 ft away but people are sitting much closer than my comfort level.
I think I found great authentic Thai food restaurant not too far from me. BKNY food and menu comes off very authentic and reasonably priced. Meals ranged from $10-30 a plate. Drinks were made well and also reasonably priced too. Everything came out so fast and the staff was pretty attentive, they were a team so if my waitress was busy another helped out with out issue. The atmosphere is very laid back and casual so this place makes for a better casual date night than a first date night, but you could still pull that off if you wanted to. My Pad See Ew was made exactly how I expect and for dessert I had fried ice cream which was great! This was definitely a good call for the evening, I will be back again.
Really good restaurant. Service is amazing. I didnt have reservations, the y guy told me to wait about 20 to 30 min but to my surprise, 5 minutes later there was a table. This people dont waste time, my order was fulfilled very quick. Food was amazing!! TRY FRIED ICE CREAM...super delicious!!
Amazing Lychee martinis 🍸 best I’ve had & I usually order these anytime I have Thai for dinner anywhere! Great food - usually order the PAD THAI with shrimp or chicken, or the PAD SEE EW with beef, also recommend the SHUMAI that has shrimp and chicken in it, or the SAYAY. They have a great lunch special too! Very affordable and good sized portions. Staff is usually very friendly & attentive. They have their own parking garage so no need to look for a spot. Also they now have outdoor seating during Covid.
Food here is pretty food. Not blow your mind Thai cuisine, but not disappointing either. I usually order their curry puffs to start off, and then the Mussaman curry. Service here is always great since the waitstaff are attentive throughout your stay. They have a parking lot, but usually full. Dont worry, plenty of street parking.
Upscale restaurant but cheap eats! Really classy vibe, but also very casual. We ordered the Roti with Curry as an appetizer, it was very good, but we were a little disappointed to see the roti being so small. We needed more roti to dip the curry! We also ordered the pad thai, green curry, and one of their house specialty the pork with chinese broccoli. You have the ability to choose what kind of meat you want in your pad Thai or curry, as with most of their other offerings. With just two of us, we were unable to finish all of the food.We finished with one of their seasonal desserts, their mango sticky rice! Could have been sweeter, but thats just me.Were excited to try and come back some more!
This was my first visit to the restaurant, likely wont be the last. My party had a reservation, and were taken to our table quite efficiently after a quick vax card check. Everyone got their drinks served pretty quickly and subsequently the apps and main courses arrived at the right times. The food was good, likely really good, except for may be the eggplant red curry. We were informed in time for kitchen closing time. While we placed our dessert orders ahead of kitchen closing, there was no rush for us to wrap up and leave. Instead the wait staff was present and continued to take drinks orders.Overall, great experience. I recommend.
Pad See Ew was pretty good, the noodles were fresh not sticky nor over cooked but think cook was in a rush and forgot to season. Shrimp with peppercorn sauce was very salty, it would have been a good dish if it wasnt overly salted. Do not order the app beef short ribs it is tough like leather and bland. Even my bf who likes his steak well done said it was way too over cooked. Their curry was still decent but only got 2 pieces of chicken. They dont sell crepe cake anymore...boooo. only reason I came back to BKNY. They lost 2 stars for no crepe cake and very tough short ribs. Seems like they cant cook beef had the same problem with their steak dish last time.
The ambiance of BKNY Thai Restaurant is wonderful. The place is well lit, yet gives you a feeling of warmth and joy inside. The staff were very friendly and polite. They were very easy to talk to. They made me feel like a valued customer. The food was very delicious, and they gave me very hefty portions for the money the dish was worth. It was absolutely a wonderful experience dining there. I will definitely go back and dine there again.
Nice place to dine at.You have to constantly remind them you have allergies or dislike something. The food is consistent. The signature drinks are in between ok and good. The service is non existent if you are not fully seated. They take the order and disappear, pop by once to ask if everything is ok.Last time I ordered the fish and took half of it home. When I went to reheat it the next day it was marbled....So they serve old food, beware!Would I recommend it? Yes, because its not expensive and offers parking. No, because they served me old food masked in a ton of sauce.
Let me start off with this - definitely a good Thai restaurant, yummy flavors and spices but NOTHING special in comparison to other good Thai places! Although not disappointing I wasn’t BLOWN away.We ordered a bunch of apps, drinks and entrees - I got the pad kee mao (I think), and I’m 110% have had better. I guess it’s a good spot for locals, but not really worth going out of your way from. It’s good, but at the time the same as many other thai restaurants. Topaz noodle bar in the city still has the #1 spot in my heart. The waitress said the “spicy” was EXTREMELY spicy and basically said we should go with medium spicy because even that was very spicy. I went with spicy anyway, and it wasn’t even spicy lmaoo. But my brother said he couldn’t even taste the food bc it was just plain spice to him. So I guess ya’ll know yourselves and your spice tolerances, but thought I’d include that as a heads up.
Great place for evening dinner. Outdoor dining offered now during the pandemic. Great food and great service. Very reasonable prices. Parking available nearby.1/30/2020 Update: BKNY is open with new outdoor structure. Dining area is warm enough for a pleasant dinner, even if its cold outside. Same great food and same great service.
I came here for the first time the other day and almost forgot to take pictures. My coworker had recommended this place and. Told me he loves this place. This place is one of the best thai places Ive had since moving to Queens. I came late (10 minutes before the kitchen closed) and the staff was really friendly and attentive. I found it adorable how the waitress peeked in to ask how we were doing. When taking my order she also suggested that i order everything together so the kitchen will be prepared since they were wrapping up. I definitely plan to go back and try more food. Yes, there is parking right behind! Which is important to me.
Im a little late with this review but it was definitely a memorable meal. Came here to celebrate my moms birthday on a Saturday night. Made reservations for ten people that afternoon -no problem. As many have noted, the place is deceptively large once you get inside. The place was packed-probably a sign of good things to come. The waitress seated us and was very warm and welcoming. They let us bring our own cake and actually held it in their fridge for us. I like Thai food but Im not a snob. As long as the flavors are closer and the fish sauce funk is there, were going to get along. We ended up ordering quite a few dishes that were all quite good. Since we had kids everything we ordered was mild. Some favorites - shrimp pad Thai, pad see ew, tom yum soup, crab fried rice, steak, and green curry with chicken. The kids gobbled it all down. So a few things - everything was seasoned pretty heavily-almost too salty. Second, the waitress and staff were super nice but it seemed like the wait staff was super too thin. She was apologetic and kept our water carafe filled. But there were a few times we were looking around for help. Lastly, the final bill came out to be far less than we expected for how much we ordered. Always a plus. Close to highway and having their own parking lot makes them a solid recommendation.
We arrived about an hour away from closing time. The food was served so fresh and hot to our table and the wait staff was patient and attentive. We got the wings and shumai to start, both great, though we asked for extra sweet chili sauce (cuz yum!). We split a fried rice, he had the pad Thai and I had something while name I cant remember but it had glass noodles, jumbo shrimp, and the perfect kick of spice. It was amazing. I had the fried ice cream for dessert (pictured below), my husband had the fried bananas, both were great. I tried to go back yesterday, July 5, 2019 (about a week and change after out first outing there), but they are apparently undergoing construction or something through July 11, 2019? Either way, I cant wait to go back!
My favorite Thai resto: location within the neighborhood, parking available, subdued lighting, distinctive quiet sounds and decor create an ambiance that I enjoy, spacious, good food. *Despite one time disappointment - a favorite entree couldnt be had because they ran out of supply - but the family-business owners are very warm.
This is hands-down the best little hidden gem of Queens and especially for Thai food. I will dine here until the world ends. If I had one last meal, it’d be from here without question— pad kee mao/ medium spice, with chicken, side of spring rolls and a Thai iced tea please! I usually get the same dish for dine-in or takeout, but their menu always grows with even more delicious choices, food is fresh with good portions and arrives quickly, service is great, and the vibe is local and chill. During Covid, they took part of their parking lot space and designed a really nice outdoor seating section, it’s almost like another restaurant! The owner is really friendly and I don’t think I’ve ever been here where it wasn’t busy, yet the service-again is top notch for a small business in the neighborhood. If you’re looking for any downsides- a little pricey and they don’t deliver. Also, during prime dinner hours, if it’s very busy they might not accept takeout orders.
I ordered takeout, and my order was ready less than 2 minutes after I arrived at the restaurant. Chicken satay was prepared perfectly -- not a bit dry. There was an adequate amount of peanut sauce in a small cup for dipping. The pad see ew (broad noodles, broccoli in a slightly sweet soy sauce) was delicious. I chose beef for the dish, and there was meat in every bite. No need to worry about parking; there is a lot in the back as well as parking on the streets. BKNY is not in my neighborhood, but its well worth the drive. I plan to work my way down the menu.
I really enjoyed their pineapple fried rice. My husband ordered a sweet and sour chicken with vegetables, we shared and that was more delicious than what I ordered. Unfortunately, the location of this restaurant isn’t the greatest, there’s no where to take a walk after dinner. But overall nice for thai food. We would come back, thank you!
Went on a date with my boyfriend was very unplanned but turned out great we got there before closing by 40 mins and they didn’t rush us or bother us. Ordered dumpling and calamari for our appetizer and it was great ! Our entrée was delicious it was my first time my boyfriend had Thai food and he really enjoyed it. Our waitress was so sweet and let us take our time picking and cheeked up to make sure everything was good. Highly Recommend !! U can dress up or dress casual which makes it easier and more convenient which it was for us.
I just moved to the area and was craving Thai food. Im not sure what all these good reviews are about because the Pad See Ew I got was horrible. It tasted like old beef and noodles boiled too long in dirty dish water. No color, no taste, watery, and definitely not stir-fried. Absolutely disgusting!! I had to throw it out because it was so bad. Looked nothing like the pics on Google or their website either. My boyfriend got shrimp Pad Thai and there were only 4 small shrimp in the whole dish. Way overpriced for the garbage food and service. Satisfy your Thai craving elsewhere.
I initially went in to dine in, however I was feeling a sick from my allergies (nothing to do with the restaurant). I took my crispy duck and sides to go. I requested low sodium and they were very accommodating. As I sat there waiting for my order, my waitress knew something was wrong so she got me a cup of ice water and I thank her for that because it helped me tremendously. I appreciate that she was able to recognize that I was in distress. The food was amazing by the way.
The waitress is extremely helpful as well as the others who work there. It was so pleasant sitting outside under the tent. The appetizers were delicious- Thai dumpling, duck roll, and fried tofu. Yum. The entrees are varied and were plentiful. We had a wonderful meal. Great place to stop in
Customer service at this place is 100% perfect, all the nicest employees work here and food and drinks don’t take long at all to arrive after ordering. The food and drinks here are also perfect, drinks are made strong and the food is always fresh. No complaints at all I highly recommend this place. 💯
Its always my pleasure to visit this restaurant. Ive been dining at BKNY from its opening. I brought along my girlfriend and her friend. Food arrived quickly and always fresh and delicious! We three enjoyed exceptional service the staff and owners are exceptional! I have never seen a face disappointed and hope you all give it a try! Look forward to my next dining experience! Please, continue theexceptional service and thanks so much!!
The service was excellent! The waitresses were so nice and everything came out quickly and was delicious! We had a variety of appetizers, and I even liked the fried tofu and i dont like tofu. The Hazelnut mousse cake was a great dessert and the Thai sausage fried rice was so good I regretted eating all of the appetizers. My party was equally satisfied with their entrees as well. Best Thai food ever!
The food from here is amazing, but from what i have noticed. When I would order a crispy pork fried rice whole dining on location the meal is amazing, but when I order the same crispy duck fried rice for take out it was not as good as what I was served when dinning on location the duck was very soft and not crispy at all. When I would order a lychee drink with no ice for take out the cup is o ly filked 3/4 of the way which I thunk is really weird, because when served with ice the take out cup is always full!BKNY is one of my favorite dining spots do not get me wrong, but its just these little things that bother me.
I absolutely LOVE this place. The staff is always so kind and attentive. I wanted a good Thai place here in QueensIve gone two times now and they havent ever disappointed. They have an ample menu and the classic Thai dishes cant complain.Covid edition:I felt really safe to their attention in these COVID times. They have hand gel from when you enter, give you wipes and also keep one at your table. Plus since the place is spacious they have an easy time with social distancing. And more importantly you as a customer.
I bought a friend here for her 1st time. She enjoyed it as much as I do. She was Over the Moon when she found out they serve Lychee Martinis. I had the Peach Sangria and was quite pleased. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals..Red curry with jumbo shrimp and she had a Steak dish. Both were DELish! The staff is warm, courteous and very accommodating! I dont come often but I am Definitely looking forward to my NEXT visit!
We went to BKNY Thai last night for a Saturday Dinner.Due State and Law because of the Pandemic they not allowed yet to have inside Dinning. A part of the parking lot was section off. Tables are well spread apart, server wearing gloves and masks. Hand sanitizer is provided on the table.Menu are paper. All in all very safe place to eat during the pandemic. If you go later at night is recommend to wear warm clothes.Food was amazing. We had Shrimp Pad Thai, Rice and Chicken, Beef Noodles, thai dumplings, fried Banana and Ice so as the custard.Would certainly recommend ti everyone to go their and enjoy great Food and. Hospitality...Thank you
This place was amazing on all fronts! The service staff went above and beyond. The chef personally came out to check on one of our orders and gave us complementary desserts. It just so happened it was our first family dinner out post our wedding! Food was great and highly recommend!
Smallest sizes high prices this is glorified Chinese food for 3x the price never going back. The lunch special green curry is $12 it is a tiny container this is a ripoff I have never been to a thai restaurant with tiny portions charging the full on prices dont go here I am never going back you lost a big customer
We ordered masaman curry, crispy pork fried rice, crispy duck red curry, mango sticky rice, and Thai ice cream.Recommended: fried rice, red curry, ice cream.Nothing was too salty which I really appreciated. Duck was perfectly crispy and red coconut curry was delicious, the ice cream was interesting in a good way. Coconut-y and tropical fruity, and smooth.Mango sticky rice was hard around the edge...I assume it was made too early & left out for too long. Mango was delicious and flavor was good. Not recommend: Masaman curry was pretty blend. It could use more sweetness, too.
First let me say...the interior of the restaurant looks very nice, very eclectic...makes me want to think its one of high end places in Manhattan. Now the food grading...I have been to Thailand, I am also a chef by trade, worked in such places as Tavern on the Green, Le Cirque 2000, The Oak Room and Tao, which are all Manhattan spots...I know my international food quite well. The appetizers weve got were as follows...Thai chicken wings, there were nothing Thai about it...fried wings and Na Mpla sweet and sour sauce on the side, Calamari, nice crispy and tender I side but once again similar sauce for the wings, theeeen we got spring rolls, they were crispy, bit it felt as if it was store bought and the sauce once again, youve guessed it same sauce for that as well...nothing Thai about it. We also got Tom yum kaang soup with coconut...the broth was outstanding...but besides chicken and sliced mushroom I was looking for some sliced lemon grass or kefir leaves...also some julienne onion and peppers...we also had shrimp pad Thai...that was well made as well except the shrimp felt as if they were precooked and not exactly fresh made...the wait staff was attentive. I would come back again to try other items k the menu to give a second shot, but as of now I give 3 stars...make everything authentic like back in Phuket
You never would expect this to be great from 1st glance. Its simple entrance with not a lot of visibility, quiet neighborhood spot. Go inside and be surprised at how big this restaurant is. Great food and service. They have modified their business to accommodate for the Covid19 pandemic and have a small seating area in the back. Food and service is still great. Take out or dine in (out) enjoy!
Really great place for dinner - first, I have to say that our service was outstanding; the servers were incredibly attentive, making sure that we were satisfied and that everything was okay. The food was incredible, and came out really fast.My uncle had crispy duck, and he said it was one of the best duck dishes hes had in a while. Everyone was really satisfied and happy! Highly highly recommend.
Always an absolute pleasure to dine here. The food is delicious and moderately priced. An interesting menu; the vegetable cakes and Massaman Curry are among my favorites! The wait staff are dynamic; I love how they cover for each other! Great place to come fir an intimate dinner or larger gathering. Parking is sometimes a problem, even with an on-site lot, but spots open up often. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great Thai restaurant. It was easy getting a reservation for 16 which is typically unheard of at some restaurants. The food was great. Their snapper is a staple on their menu. The rack of lamb is a must have when you go there. It was my first time trying fried ice cream, not my thing but it was good. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
This place is lovely for a family dinner or even a date its nice and dim. The service is always great. I prefer going on the weekdays because it can get very crowded on the weekends. The food is amazing, my favorite plate is the pineapple fried chicken/steak/shrimp! You have to try their young coconut its super refreshing!!! I wish they delivered but other than that I give them 5 stars!
I was really surprised by the high quality of the food. Dishes were really great. The owner stopped by just to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The space looks like a club converted to a restaurant, but it feels lively and fun. Oh, and the food was really excellent
Amazing staff. Hands down extremely friendly ,polite and actually remembered us from our visits. Food is an amazing mixture of modern and traditional. Drinks are very good if you’re into that. Environment is clean and well kept. On weekends are quite busy so plan in advance. I must say this is the most diverse restaurant I have ever visited and I love it ! Way to go BKNY Thai! Keep up the good work.
Definitely one of the better Thai places in the neighborhood. Service is always good, as is the food!I have yet to be disappointed by anything they offer there. The ambiance is also pretty nice, and can be a place to just go with a couple friends for a super casual dinner, or even somewhere you can go on a date. The seating area is very open, so although you may not get a private booth, they do have booth seating available. Some of the tables are arranged in the around the bar in the center of the room too.As for the food, its great. Definitely a place that rivals some of the best Thai Ive had in my life. quite authentic, and the flavored are very good. Definitely a mouth watering experience!
We stopped by for an early dinner on a weekend. Street parking was readily available.Overall, the service and food here was excellent. The staff is pretty attentive and present just enough without being awkwardly stopping by too frequently like some other restaurants. If youre into spicy Thai food, BKNY wont disappoint you. Id go again.
My family and I have frequented this place many times and we have also taken out food here on many occasions as well. The food is always excellent. The service is good brood they also have parking in the rear. Our go to dishes are the pad see we, pad thai, thai fried rice, and the whole fried red snapper with sea and spicy sauce. That sauce is amazing!!!I highly recommend this place for very good Thai food!! I will be back to this place again soon.
When placing my order, I informed the waiter that I am allergic to peanuts. However, when my order came it had peanuts in it. They took it back to the kitchen and picked the peanuts off and brought back the dish without making a new one. I almost died from eating at this restaurant. The manager thought it was funny that I was having a allergic reaction and was laughing.
BKNY Thai is a really nice spot. The wait staff are warm and inviting. I was greeted when I arrived, and was thanked for my visit upon leaving. The food was very good, authentic Thai cuisine. The lunch specials were affordably priced, about $8 for a meal with a side salad. The ambience was classy, while maintaining a comfortable feel. I went for a business lunch, but it would be great for a date as well.
Dear Princessa Gervais-AineMy name Usai Kittekorncharoen (Owner) regarding your comment on our wait staff for the tip, I had talked to them when they given you the check for your dinner, you did not leaving any gratuity on the check so they want to make sure everything was ok. you did not responded and you were left the restaurant and forgot your purse on the seat. After an hour you call will pick up the purse, Waiter had advised the hostess in front you are coming. When your husband came I heard on our walkie talkie, i was in my office downstair I saw him on the camera, so I stated to hostess to asking for ID to protected your purse, we needed to make sure given your purse to right person. I do not understand why he need to be upset and stated have a cop friend. I had checked my camera where you sitting all the way my staff took your purse given to hostess no one had open your purse or use your credit card for the tip. I would like very much to clarifythis matter. With this issue both wait staff had been off the position for 2 weeks.Regards,Usai Kittekorncharoen
Food is overpriced and small portions. You need to spend 60 to 80 for a decent portion. Spent 45 for two plates worth of food for two people. Even still the food was good. They charged my companion 1.50 for a bag of rice they brought in a bowl. Yes they brought rice in a clear plastic bag and it looked like it was cooked much earlier to service. Nice decor and service was good. If you dont mind ordering four or five dishes for two people this is good. Frankly Thai in Elmont is equal quality and better value.
I have been going to this place since the first year they opened. Food is good and the service is excellent, however they have changed their prices substantially over the years. Almost doubling in price then when they first opened (Those of you who have been coming here know what I am talking about). IMHO they know that Thai food is becoming very popular in the bigger cities and have adapted to profit from the demand so can you really blame them? I am also Thai by the way so I am not biased.
I enjoyed my short visit sun about 2:30pm , I found parking, I have never been here before, I thought the place was closed because of the dark window. To my surprise in is very elegant inside, people were eating. I sat at the bar, was alone. The Chicken Curry was excellent, the price was a touch up but worth it. I will return.
Service was impeccable and so was the food!!! I am not exaggerating, this is the best service I have ever seen at a restaurant. Waitress was very attentive, we had a party of 12 and not 1 complaint from anyone. The food was exquisite as was the presentation. I love that they have a large glass lazy Susan on the table. It makes it easy to pass things around like sauces and drinks and also if you want to share your meal with others. This restaurant gets an A++ in my book and I am picky.
It used to be good. After a few years the freshness of the place had lost along with the age of the restaurant. The server was friendly, however the produce was canned. The pineapple of the pineapple friend rice was from the cane. The Tom Yum soup was served cool that the mushroom wasnt fully cooked, the coconut of the coconut drink was from the cane. I dont think I would be going back anytime before they return their love back into cooking.
The food is mediocre, but if youre craving Thai food, its better than nothing. The cocktails here arent the best either, but there is a bar available. The waitstaff is also just mediocre, not the best attention but they also come by every once in a while. At least they are able to accommodate large groups.
The staff are from Thailiand, the food was more traditionally aligned with Thai food, not overly sweet or salted. The staff was also super pleasant, courteous and moved efficiently for our crowd of 30 people. I particularly loved the warmth with which they treated us throughout and even upon leaving when the restaurant had closed.
One of my favorite restaurants for the last 10 years now. Their food is phenomenal. I usually go with the massaman curry and pad se ew but their menu is full of great options. The tea iced tea is flavorful and not diluted like some places. And their lychee sangria is to die for!
I call this marvelous restaurant once a month as I enjoy the good mood that is characterizes this place. The personel is exceptionally attentive and qualified. The service is very rapid. Needless to say, the food they prepare is good. I visited more than once and I was always happy. The payment is fair. I highly recommend this restaurant to to all.
BKNY Thai Restaurant is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious!! You will not be disappointed! The Chicken Curry Puffs are a most have. This place evens satisfy my teenaged son!The owner and safe are always friendly. The atmosphere and the decor is relaxing and fun. One of our favorite places.
This place is really awesome. Not only is the food great, the service is excellent. All staff are extremely polite and make sure you are satisfied with your visit. The hostess is amazing, she will not have you waiting on a hungry stomach. This is definitely one of my go-to Thai restaurants.
Although its not quite authentic, it gets pretty close, with a menu full of authentic Thai dishes that will satisfy all but the most pickiest Southeast Asian cravings. The food is amazing; go ahead and try new things on the menu, because no matter what you try, you wont be disappointed, at least if youre like me. Its not your semi Chinese, Thai food only half of the menu, greasy place at all. The staff are super friendly, and they have boosters for toddlers too. And Singa beer, of course!
Terrible service was so uncomfortable, the waiter spilled the whole order of food on the table in front of my daughters..and the water glass splashed all over her, we had to clean up ...the hostess did not want to deduct money off the bill...i had to ask for the manager and even he went back and forth wit me and said well we changed the food with glass ...like we were supposed to eat glass? Will never go again...fyi..check your water and drink glass for stains because they dont wash there dishes correctly
Awesome Thai food in Fresh Meadows! There is a small parking lot in the back but there are also plenty of street parking. Its helpful if you make reservations. The restaurant is always full at night, especially more on the weekends. The food is delicious and hot, the staff and kitchen are very accommodating if you have allergies or personal preferences. If you feel like splurging, get the crispy duck options!
Been coming here countless times over the last 8 or so years. Always great food. Dishes are consistent in taste. Their alcoholic drinks are always strong (which we love)... one Mi Tai will knock you over. I really have no complaints about their servers or service... accepting on any given night there may be something lacking, but hey, life aint perfect and neither are people. Highly recommend 😋🌺✨
The staff is pleasant. The food is good. The interior is amazing, so large and very beautifyl. My one complaint (and this is the reason for the one star) is the shallow bowls served for the curries, which leaves hardly any room for the curry. Also, they didnt have any of those deep, ceramic soup spoons. I asked for a soup spoon and got an American soup spoon.
Weve been here twice, about three years apart. We were impressed with BKNY both times. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The portion sizes are generous. Unlike some Thai restaurants, which might have rather oily dishes, BKNY didnt feel too oily or heavy. Also, BKNY can accommodate guests who dont like spicy foods. My wife had the Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodles), which is supposed to be spicy, and they made it mild for her. Weve also tried several of the curries and the pad thai, all of which were good.Although the restaurant doesnt have any windows, it has good lighting and ambiance (and you never have to worry about the sun shining in your eyes). There is a small parking lot in back.
Local Thai place that seres a good Pad Thai!!Ive been here multiple times the past few years and it never disappoints. There is a parking lot in the back, and parking around the area is not difficult to find either.Inside the restaurant, they have enough tables and seats for you to come here for a birthday event to an intimate date. Whenever I come here, I always get the Pad Thai which is flavorful and the noodles here are chewy. Their Thai Iced Tea is also good and not diluted like some other places Ive been to.Their lunch specials are worth it and they do not skimp on the meat because its lunch.
Love this place-- for either takeout or dine in-- the dining room is huge and wide open-- I love it---it feels private and communal at the same time and the acoustics are great. They have some wild stuff going on New Years Eve-- I came in to pick up some food but really wanted to stay.

2022-03-27Went here with my family for my aunt’s birthday and we had a great time. The staff was very accommodating— we had a party of 26 people— when we were running over and hour late 🤦🏽♀️. I had the crispy red snapper and it was delicious. The Price was good even for my large party. I also loved the area in the back, we were not seated there due to the temperature, but did get to take photos. I would definitely return.

2022-01-01Small parking in the back, all full on a weekday lunch hour. Ordered regular menu instead of lunch special thinking I will get a dinner size portion. However if this is dinner portion it way less than what I expected. Ask for spicy but it was just normal spicy, if you like it Thai spicy make sure to note Thai spicy. Taste was good but I had to eat two order size so its not cheap eat. I will try lunch special next time hoping for better value.

2021-11-01Nice decor, friendly staff, missing music / vibe. Curry is good. Ribs could have been seasoned a little more. Spring rolls nice and crisp. Food was served hot and came out fairly quickly.

2021-10-25Very delicious flavors. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Cash and credit is accepted. There is a small lot behind the building and street parking is available. They do take covid restrictions seriously and require to see your vaccine card with a picture ID.

2021-11-28Top 5 most authentic Thai restaurants Ive been (recommended by bros friend). Personally, I rate authenticity of the thai cuisine is from the tom yum Kong (shrimp sour soup) and pad Thai - my favorite dishes of Thai cuisine. Also love the calamari, Thai dumpling (didnt take pic bc they were so delicious they were gone before I remember to take pics). My entree was pad ke mao (flat noodle), it was a good and the shrimps were fresh. Definitely going back there to try the other stuff. Very friendly staffs. Love the ambient of the indoor seatings, very spacious too. They also have somewhat outdoor seatings. They have parking lot behind the restaurant. Must try this place if you love Thai cuisine.

2022-01-16Fast service and fresh ingredients! Strong drinks is also an added bonus! Presentation wise I would give BKNY an A for effort but my curry had some curry over the edges of the inside of the bowl (could use more attention to detail). For a restaurant that uses table cloths, surprisingly they do not have actual cloth napkins, instead they use paper ones. Its not necessarily a deal breaker but just an observation.Very attentive service and warm hospitality. For a couples night out this is a nice spot. The menu is diverse and includes many options especially for those who have food restrictions/limitations.Dessert is a must, these guys really knocked it out the ballpark when it came to their fried ice cream, good stuff.Overall BKNY gets a 5 star rating, if the food wasnt good it would get a 4 because of attention to detail, but aside from that, A1 service, delicious food, and excellent restaurant hospitality. One of my top favorite restaurants and I will definitely be a repeat customer.Be a hero and visit BKNY to give your taste buds an amazing adventure!**Covid conscientious restaurant: upon entry they will ask for proof of vaccination as well a photo ID to verify your integrity. Be sure to carry both or be denied entry.**
