Very good price,I went for cut my car key, very helpful staff
The perfect example of a small local business. There is more stuff in this store than you could ever imagine - but way beyond that there are real live caring human beings that work there and will assist you. I have been going to this store since I became a home owner in 2000 and they have always helped me with the project that I was involved in and/or recommended who would be able to help me.
Old fashioned hardware store that had what I wanted after going to the local box stores. They make keys and sharpen knives also. My three stars is because of the the cranky old white guys at the counter. Yeah, they have been working there a long time and probably need to retire. Their depleted testosterone levels are in need of a boost in order to dial down their cranky level. Customer service is less than stellar because they cant fake being nice. I also noticed their cranky level is improved when they speak to male customers. I will go back there again, but I will expect the cranky customer service treatment. Shame because otherwise it is a good old fashioned hardware store which deserves 5 stars. Just ignore the crank(s).

I had looked at many places to get a copy to a key made and this place had it and was very helpful. they have everything I could need and the staff was very helpful. They had made the key for me so quickly by the time I waked back up to the front and got my wallet out they handed me the new key. Thanks for your help, I look forward to returning in the future.
Great for everything except if you have a key that needs to be cut. Sales person: Yes, I could cut your key for you, but we only cut the keys we sell! Im never coming back!!!
Exactly the old fashioned caring and attentive service usually needed vs the big-box stores. Definitely recommend

A great corner hardware store. I showed the clerk (or owner?) the broken items, and he walked me down the aisle right to the items. Fair prices.
Aside from the attitude of the counter Associates who just seem as if theyre pissed at the worlds existence they have absolutely everything you could need. Great place to have keys made.

Local indie business...try them before you go down the street to Home Depot...staff know where everything is shelved unlike the staff at the huge box stores....yup staff can be cranky at times.

Fine store, but there was a white guy selling crack around the back.
Friendly environment, greets customers when they come in the door.
Called about service and the guy was being smartass over the phone..no respect for customers or people of color.

2022-02-06I went to Black’s Hardware with my old shower handle to see if they could help me. I have always had good experiences with the old owner’s and I’m very Happy to say that this was a good experience again.I met Joe, who was very helpful! He went above and beyond working with me. I went back home with the knowledge of how to remove my cartridge and replace it with the proper part.The crazy thing is Joe did all this for me without me even purchasing anything.(he didn’t want to sell me the wrong part)I want to say thank you Black’s hardware, I will definitely be doing business with you all from now on.Kenny

2022-06-28Always a great place to shop with a good selection of products. Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Ive been shopping there for 40 years and they still have the atmosphere and service that are reminiscent of a neighborhood hardware store. I was recently there to have a screen repaired. Very reasonable prices

2022-01-29Business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (when most of America is at work) is not conducive to pulling business away from some of the big box stores. It is unfortunate But you are not even open late one night during the week so people can bring business to you instead of Home Depot after they finish supper.

2021-09-07Always a worthwhile stop! The owners and operators are people who work in the trade and know their products. Blacks usually has a much deeper catalog of the products they carry. If they dont have it, that usually can get it!

2021-01-01Great store helpful and knowledgeable staff... with the exception of the guy with the glasses and the nice Tom Selleck stache... He is a wonderful ray of sunshine. He has the personality of a doornail- He should avoid customer service altogether and become a basket weaver or something. Avoid him at all costs and youll be satisfied - ask for Keith!
