If you want to take a walk in the past come here. Great place to buy and sell. Knowledgeable,friendly staff. We often visit after going out to eat in Bay Shore.
What a great store and experience! Went in looking for something small and went overboard by the end! Dave is the man!! He really made this trip special and helped make sure I got the coolest stuff possible for my collection!A store that feels welcoming and friendly goes a long way with purchasing, and I am happy to buy from here! After hearing this is a new store I’m excited to see this place grow. Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had at a vintage store, can’t wait to come back!! Thanks again Dave, you rock!! 🤘

Walking into your store is being instantly transported back to my childhood days. Every nook and cranny sparks another memory and brings a smile to my face. David the manager is so welcoming. He never makes you feel rushed. If anything, he encourages customers to stay awhile, explore, and reminisce— which I gladly do. Tonight I walked out with yet another treasure (or two or three) and I can’t wait to come back because as the name says, it surely is a blast from the past
Best store on the island by far for retro toys and video games. Always a great time to stop by and kill some time. Dave is such a awesome person to deal with. He always goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is more then satisfied. Every time I walk in they always have something new and cool to show off. Highly recommend stopping by if you are ever in the area!
Simply a great experience. Owner and staff are great people and have passion for the products as well as customers and the community. It is such a fun place to just visit. Even if your not making a purchase, they are so kind, with no hovering or pressure to buy. They treat you like honored guests and just enjoy that your enjoying the HUGE collection of nostalgic items. Stop driving by and go in!!! You wont be dissapointed. P.S I have been back several times now to buy gifts and its always a great experience.
I had the pleasure of meeting Rich, Dave and his crew, the store is awesome. A great interactive place for both kids and adults. The sounds of the video games in the background really sparks nostalgia! Highly recommend stopping by just to browse or to find that piece you havent seen since you were a kid! Found a complete extended version of the Lord of the Rings trilogy the other day! The staff was very nice and friendly and it was a cool place to just search through the goods. Got to play Mario Cart a couple times while my partner was shopping for video games. All around a great place to go go and so worth it.
Good selection of retro toys and games. Asked for the price of two incomplete retro figures and was quoted a price over the current ebay price. Employee acutually looked up the price on ebay right infront me and quoted the highest price. I am a collector and know the value of the figures I was inquiring about.
Such a great place to find vintage collectibles on Long Island. David was super helpful and he really knew his inventory well. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a piece of your favorite childhood toys, games and more.
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! It is so nostalgic being in there, the name suits the business perfectly. Honestly, I could spend all day in there with the all the old school console stations they have set up for customers to play. I live in jersey but will definitely have to come back here one day.
We had the greatest morning at Blast From The Past! Such kind and generous staff & it truly is like stepping into your childhood! They have everything from Barbies to Pokémon. We couldn’t recommend this place anymore and we will be back!
Great place, well kept and staff are always willing to help . Could spend hours in the store . So much to offer . Being adult I personal like the place. Im a 80s kids so many toys from my child hood. I recommend you check it out for yourself.
Come here regularly, they’ve got a lot of great stuff & the staff make you feel like family. Real down to earth people. I will continue to make contributions & purchase here 1st. Support your local businesses everyone!!! I’d rather come here than go to that rip off corporate giant GameStop.
One of the coworkers kept following me and watching me in the store. When I was looking for certain items and I decided not to buy anything because I was being followed throughout the store. I have bought stuff from the store before but this will be my last time shopping with this store I love the store maybe someone else will have a different experience .
Great selection of everything. Tons to look through - can easily lose track of time there. The one thing I will say is that they might be a little off on some of their prices - found the same LJN figures at another store for a fraction of the price. Still very much worth the trip.

I’ve been coming here since before the grand opening, I met the owner a few months before he decided to open the store, had a MASSIVE amount of stuff before he opened so once I heard about the store, I was on board from day one! Fantastic prices, incredible selection, wide variety and the BEST staff you’ll find on Long Island. HIGHLY recommend, simply can’t be missed!

Incredible place. 80s music playing. 80s action figures - He-Man, Thundercats, TMNT. Amazing selection of unique memorabilia. Reminded me of my childhood. Owner was friendly and helpful. Fair pricing.
BEST STORE EVER. I got some of their walking dead collectibles and the man was VERY VERY nice. I 100% recommended this store and I am definitely coming back.

This place was awesome! Took me back to when I was a kid. Saw alot of blasts I remembered and ones that I forgot about! Even one that were before my time. Lol my husband remembered them though! My 11 year old loved it!

This place is for sure a Blast from the past! U could easily spend a few hours looking at all the vintage toys, the people are nice & the prices are AWESOME!
Came in and found a dvd that the sign said was $2.99 for dvds. When i got to the counter to pay they said it was $20 because it was a horror movie. No pricing on it. Horrible service. Hope it was worth it to lose a customer.

2021-11-21Before I start, I would like to say that I havent been paid or compensated in any form in order to make my review. For a couple a months I have seen the post from this store, I am a retro guy that loves vinyl, toys, video games and electronics in general, but been 1 hour plus away from me, I decided to hold my visit......that was till yesterday , My wife and I decided to shop around at the mall and right after take a trip finally and see what goodies I could find , Sunday night and 2 minutes before closing time , I made the call to the store asking to hold for me if it was not an inconvenience....the answer was: by no means it is an inconvenience!! Just drive on and will wait for you, I got there exactly at closing time and I was welcomed with a smile and been told to take my time with no rush. Small store but very well organized and full of retro dreams in perfect conditions!! The owner ...a down to earth guy extremely helpful and joyful to have us there , I originally need it to shop for one of my friends Christmas present but I ended shopping for me and my wife too....everyone in the store are very friendly and I was treated like a friend and not a costumer, I would definitely return with more time ( you need it in order to search ) Blast from the past is my store for shopping, we need more stores like this, once again Im just a happy client who hasnt been paid for this review......from 1 to 10 I give it a 100!! Thank you guys!!

2022-08-04Just started coming here a few weeks ago and its been nothing but good experiences. The staff is friendly and the place is very organized and clean. Not as much inventory as other retro stores but the priced are fair and will actually take trades in. Overall I highly recommend this tiny hidden gem in Bayshore.

2022-05-02First time visit and see Im actually impressed...looks cluttered but its an organized clutter besides if you do not see what ur looking for, when you ask the staff knows exactly where it is.½ the store is gaming systems ½ the store is toys....not a bad shop at all.I only gave it 4⭐s because its so far out of reach for me to get too that if it wasnt Id be there more often.P.S. they need business cards🤔😆

2022-03-16They have a lot of toys if thats your thing, also some anime stickers which were cool and a manga section. They have lots of comics, but not a big selection on back issues or discounted comics.Staff is blah but I spoke to this girl name Sarah for a while about our shared interest in comics and other media, shes really nice and personable, forbidden planet needs to hire more people like her. Ill probably be back if I want to get something newer.
