Came for a birthday party consisting of a large party of 15 with a reservation for 9:15pm, not only were we moved around like cattle from section to section but the seating didn’t fit the group in all the occasions. Their organizational and optimization skills are subpar to say the least, since I received my food at 11:38pm after it was of course mistakenly given to someone else. DO NOT COME here hungry or with a group larger than 4, since what ever money you do decide to spend will be worthless due to their lack of competent service and professionalism. It’s great for photos so if you must, SIMPLY buy a drink use the facilities and leave, there are so many better restaurants in the area.
Very nice time, with lovely decor and delicious food and drinks. The spicy orchard margarita was amazing! Staff was super friendly and accommodating to dog. However, as the restaurant got busier, mistakes started to happen. We never got our soft drinks and the coffee came almost a half hour after the dessert. We were also a bit turned off by the waitress pre-setting the tip on the iPad. But overall, will definitely be back!
Went here for my 13th. Food was delicious, drinks were great, appetizers on point. However, even with a reservation, the wait was long; there were no seats to wait at and there was smoke coming out of a vent nearby that was extremely off-putting. Server was AMAZING, however portions were smaller than expected, especially for the price. I would definitely go again, but there could definitely be some improvements made!
For an appetizer we had the short rib tacos. Yummy yes so yummy. Then for dinner I had the crispy chicken. So good to drink I had a classic margarita. The food was excellent the view will wow you.the staff very attentive and nice. Beautiful restaurant! Only thing no more valet parking. 21 dollars for parking in the lot.
I made a reservation using the open table app, they call the morning to confirm my reservation and remind me that I and my party need proof of vaccination for dinner at the restaurant.Blend on the Water has an ambiance a bit romantic good place to take someone on a nice date, but they also had a good bar where you can enjoy a nice sports game. The staff did a great job always on top of the table making sure that your glass has water, and you have a nice cold beverage to drink.I and my friend share the Crispy Arepas to started, the Crispy Arrepas is their main appetizer which is a corn cake with Avacado puree, pico de gallo, lime-scented creme, braised short rib, and gotta cheese. A great plate to share a good amount of food that has a great taste. For my main course, I had the filet mignon, shrimps, and French Fries on the side, the steak was a bit overcooked but was delicious.
Had a great time with my family on my birthday. Food was scrumptious and delectable. Awesome Latin music, lighting was calm and peaceful and I loved the tree inside and greenery plants inside. A great view of the city and Hudson River. Beautiful during the day and spectacular ✨️ during the night. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Great place for families and for corporate dinners. 🤝
The arepas WERE THE BEEEEEST! The churrasco felt like the gift that kept on giving, because every bite kept the flavor going. Unfortunately, the salmon with mashed potatoes was just ok, since the mashed potato felt a little dry. The vibe was perfect and I loved the little light tree on the corner.I also love that they have different Happy Hour events, so Ill be coming back to try them on different days.
I made reservations here for my nieces birthday but it didnt go so smoothly as I expected II came late due to gathering everyone together which when I arrive the young lady in front mention they seated someone else and I had to wait 20 minutes and its with my whole family After finally waiting we were Seated The waitress came and and we mowe werent aware of the details of the food on the menu and wanted to ask ned to ask some questions but the way it waitress seemed in a rush and didnt explain the menu correctly and basically left left while I asked a question So the manager Respond to try to help us and mentioned it was Not the waitresses intentions and he apologize I expected better customer service and more mannerism especially with a large crowd and what a fancy place like this for the 1st time but that wasnt the case The communication was very off even though the manager tried to help There are other birthday places to be celebrated but I chose this place because it was near the water and I saw good reviews at least most of them are good . The manager tried his best but the food was list not correct as well due to the lack of miscommunicationAt the end the 300 that I paid from working hard was definitely definitely not that worth it I would find another nice place for a large crowd. Whats funny is they already included a tip and the service was terrible . B u t the wai r r e ss said sorry she was accommodating so we appreciated thatI do not recommend for larger crowds.
This was a last minute decision. I used to come to LIC daily but I have not been there for a while and it seems like the waterfront development went into overdrive. We had dinner here outside... in November... in the rain. First Ill mention that they have quite a robust outdoor eating area with heaters and covered on three sides. The only thing that might get you is the wind. The music is great (basically 100% salsa). We both had the Arroz con Mariscos (Rice and Seafood) which was yummy! We shared the Poke Tacos as an appetizer. The taco shell was absolutely perfect and they were super tasty. For dessert we went with the Pina Colada Tres Leches because our server recommended it. I thought it was going to be super sweet, but it wasnt. It was perfection. I had passion fruit juice which was super cheap as NYC drinks go. The only complaint was my friend said her cocktail was more like juice... so she went for straight tequila for the second round. Really good last minute choice!
They never disappoint here. Food is always delicious and views are spectacular (especially when you go at night.) I also like that they change up the menu a little so when you go back there are new things to try but the staples you love are still there. Please make sure you make a reservation as they are usually booked for the evening. We tried to do a walk in and it was booked so we decided to separate our party to two small groups so we could get in. The waitress was so sweet she realized what we had done and moved a couple of tables around to get our family together.
Nice place, pretty view in long Island City, drinks are well done and the food was tasteful. Our server Sayuri was very attentive and made our experience better. I’ll definitely come back to try other options on the menu. Don’t leave without trying the lobster and crab tequeños.
Dinner was wonderful here. Food was yummy, alcohol was strong, ambiance was nice. We didn’t make reservations and my only complaint would be that the massive group of staff that checks people in took 10 minutes to give me an answer of whether there was availability or not because the lady operating the tablet was not focused. Smooth sailing after that part though.
This restaurant is such a GO TO!!! The food was definitely a 5 extremely delicious, very quickly serviced, and well cooked. Ambiance is a 5 very chill but at the same very romantic or casual. Upon our arrival my friends and I asked the lady in the front for a table inside she told us they didn’t have any available and because we were dressed casual I assumed she wanted to sit us outside saying there was nothing available but there was. The amazing host Bianca than arrived to service us and we explained we wanted to be inside. So she made it happen for us to get a seat inside and her service was over the TOP! Such a sweetheart. She made sure she took care of us and would ask if we were okay. Made us feel extremely homey. I would definitely recommend this restaurant amazing service!
My wife and I came for dinner with a few friends. The place is nicely decorated and the view was beautiful. Our waitress was helpful. The only thing was We waited a long time for the food. But the manager Kevin accommodated us and sent us a round of drinks. He even brought out the food for us !! We will be back hopefully when it’s less busy! Thank you Kevin for the hospitality
My husband ordered me the arroz de Marisco Togo it’s awful more like shrimp fried rice with eggs onion 2 pieces of sort calamari no clams or mussels or lobster or crab idk if it’s just Togo food but I could have gotten this from my Local Chinese store and saved alot of money especially since we don’t live in the area
This place is always poppin have nightly drink specials and Latin music. Good vibes all around. Outdoor dining is nicely set up and the indoor space is nice too. It feel likes its more about the atmosphere than the food though. Dont get me wrong food is generally good, but sometimes it just feels regular... like a bit generic. I think blend on Vernon is actually better food than blend on the water. Hope I dont get into trouble for saying that. Anyways its always a fun time.
The service here is great. The vibe is nice and I had a fun time. Drinks are great. However I would not recommend the chicken breast entree. It was over cooked and the cut was just too thick and didn’t have that seasoned flavor. I think they specialize more in churrasco, but this particular night I was not in the mood for red meat.
First time visiting here : Food was great, service was on point. AC for indoor was not working, tried to relocate to outdoor seating which was cooler than inside but nothing available due to high volume of customers and reservations. Came for a birthday with a party of 4 and caught ourselves fanning ourselves with menus throughout our stay. Tried to speak with 2 hostess upfront but was disregarded without any accommodations. Bathrooms are unisex and have no coordination for forming lines. Hopefully upon my next visit the AC is functional as I’d love to come back to this location for the food and service .
This place is an excellent choice to go with friends who genuinely love it. From my perspective, nighttime is not a family place. Its more adult bar and lounge. The food is exquisite; the service is excellent. The price of Litle is high from what I expected; with no alcohol, entrance, and main course, no dessert, it can go from 100 each, but it is worth it. 💃
Gorgeous gorgeous restaurant. The ambience is on point with the view of the water through the glass, outdoor seating options and elaborate decorations inside. They have a very upscale lit up menu. Food was meh. Not bad… but not good either. Went twice to give them a fair shot before I reviewed but I feel the same. First time I ordered the seafood paella and second time I ordered mofongo. Out of the two, I preferred the paella. Neither were flavorful. Food was lukewarm and tasted like it was warmed up in a microwave. Drinks are good, pricing is reasonable and staff were attentive.
Not a gay friendly restaurant! Beware! Had a bad experience last night. Made reservations but still got seated late because they forgot about us. Had to wave down an employee to help and told us we had to check in with the hostess but the hostess just told us to wait at the bar and they’ll get us. We were finally getting seated but realized the seats we were placed at was close to the exit and it was cold. We were separated from the main dining area. Only whites in the main area. They tried seating black couples in the unpopular area too which is an awful thing to do! I felt uncomfortable having the workers stare us down. We got food and champagne late, even though we were seated way before the other couples. The food was okay but very overpriced. It was bad when management allowed the band to set up right next to us. The guy was seated so close to my gf she was uncomfortable. Not okay when you have paying customers trying to eat. They should do better. I have friends who were also a gay couple feel discriminated because the photographer didn’t want to take their photos. I’m telling everyone it’s not a good place.
Visited on Thursday night...The restaurant was very busy and seemed to be short of staff. I did not have a reservation since it was only my wife and I on a Thursday. Was sat at a table right at the bar. It took 15 minutes for someone to bring the menu and then another 10 minutes to even order a drink..The two steaks we ordered were just ok for the cost. 18% gratuity included in the check.I would not recommend.
When I walk in they say it’s a dress code no hats . Fine I don’t have a problem with that . I take my fresh yankee fitted off . While sitting and dining on my lunch I notice a patron (white Caucasian) in this very same Resturant with his hat on . Smh the blatant racism.
My boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day. It was like 85 per person and you get to only choose certain thing off a menu. 3 apps and 4 entrees. All together paid about 230. Not even worth it the money paid for. So no I don’t recommend. Everyone hypes this place up for food but that day was not worth it. I have never gone and probably will not. I could have definitely gotten something better with the money. Nothing special about it especially for that day. What a rose shape napkin. Smh. 🤣🥲
Went there for lunch and the venue is beautiful but the music is too loud and should be saved for dinner time. People struggle to talk so for the most part they are shouting. A couple of people brought newborns which I found most disturbing. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive. The food was safe for tourists and non-Hispanics but lacked sabor so this is not the place for you if you’re looking for mom’s cooking. Definitely don’t bother with the guacamole. There are no condiments in it and it’s watered down with mayonnaise (yuck). I must admit though, the guava cake and flan were delicious. The aesthetics and dessert are not a good enough reason to return.
This is one of my favorite restaurant in Long Island City. Easy to get reservations, the food is delicious and it has nice views. We always walk a few steps to the water to see NYC skyline. I give them a 4 because they no longer offer valet parking and because they don’t have Yuca Frita on their menu.
Had a lovely experience. The staff was very friendly and accomodating even though we did not have a reservation. The arepas were really tasty, not sure how authentic it is. The tuna tacos could have been seasoned a little longer. Happy hour drinks were good as well, about $7 for most drinks. I think its a great spot to go after work or to catch up with friends.
Not worth the trouble of trying to find parking for bland food. The baked Mac and cheese was runny and the portion size wasnt even enough to food my hamster considering you had to pay $13. My salmon was cooked perfect but it just was bland same with the mash potatoes. The scenery is the only thing the place has going for it and the friendly staff, but Id rather eat at a place with no scenery and good food than to go back here again.
Came here 30 minutes past my reservation & they still accommodated me. Very nice of them. Food was alright they add a lot of extra things to the food. We wanted regular mashed potatoes but it came green “cilantro mashed potatoes “ & I ordered a starter Mac and cheese and it had meat. Idk food was 5/10 & today the service was a 3/10. I had to ask the bus boy to get my server.
Go for the view not the service. The enclosed patio area leaks! It started raining and it poured all over our table.Drink service was incredibly slow, some members of my party received their first drink with our 2nd round.Food was not bad, but the kitchen was obviously overwhelmed and it showed.
I would love to give this place 4 or 5 stars but unfortunately I never got to experience having dinner here because Last year for my bday I wanted to make Reservations a week in advance and was told that there was no room and I can just see about it the day of. After seeing and reading all the great reviews I wanted to come here for my Birthday. So the day of my birthday I went in without a reservation (since they didnt allow me to make one) and was told by the rep at the front that most likely I would have to wait 2-3 hours to be seated and there was no guarantee. I was so disappointed as this was now the 2nd time that I was turned down. From the very beginning I felt that I was not welcomed here. I decided to order some appetizers and eat them outside by the view . For all this I would of went anywhere else in NYC and actually have been able to have a sit down dinner. Last week a friend of mine had a similar experience he couldnt make a reservation and after waiting 2 hours was sat outside due to covid and the inside being packed. Some people come from far to have dinner there and it isnt fair to make people waste their time and not even allow them to make Reservations ahead of time. I would love to try their food and drinks but unfortunately I will never try and go there again. I give 1 star for the appetizers I ate and the nice view outside. Hope others dont have this same experience.
They are so unprofessional. I booked a large event with them weeks ago. I called to follow up and the person answering the phone told me that they were unable to confirm anything until a week prior. I called a week before the event and was told they were unable to accommodate. The manager says they don’t have a system that generates requests, and admits that it’s disorganized. Had no regard for the fact that I’ve called 3 times over a month before the event to try to confirm everything to avoid this situation. He was rude and unprofessional which is a reflection of the restaurant. Don’t try to book anything with them, even if you try to book in advance. It won’t be worth your time
The only good things i can say about this restaurant have nothing to do with the food. The drinks were good for the most part, and they were strong. The food however consisted of overpriced tiny portions that were flavorless for the most part, the only thing i can say that was good was the churrasco. I was really looking forward to coming here and it was terrible.
Only if there was no pandemic, but not even the cold could take away how beautiful Blend on the Water is. The luxurious ambience they present even with the outside dining and the delicious food was the way we wouldve wanted to celebrate our 13 year wedding Anniversary. Cant wait to go back for warmer days.
If I could give a zero start I would. Came here 2/11/2022 my reservation was at 6:30 and from start to finish we had a horrible experience. We were rushed out of the restaurant and didnt get a chance to raven enjoy the drinks, food or each others presence for valentines weekend. The bussers were so aggresive and grabbed the appetizer plate while I was actually finishing my food. So rude and disrespectful and they continued to do it all night. My date and I couldnt even enjoy the food or the experience. Felt like they just wanted us to hurry up and get out. We will never come back here again.
Ive been coming here for 4 years. Theyve reinvented themselves. The menu is on point and the food is perfectly seasoned. I had the pernil and as a self identified home chef, it was one of the best Pernilitos Ive ever had. Ill be coming more often, the ambiance, the drinks, the view and the food, tremendo!
Blend is truly a unique spot. It is right by the pier and the food was AMAZING!! The Mac and cheese with the chorizo was delicious! The pina coloda and pineapple mojito was great also. Dinner for me was the salmon with asparagus. If I am ever back in NY I will definitely visit Blend again. Also the customer service was outstanding! Our waitress was very good as well in a world where the art is lost.
I am very irritated by this restaurant! I am from Maryland and my fiancé lives in Brooklyn and his birthday is in 2 weeks and we are having a big party of 18. I filled out the form online and gave them a week to give me a call. I called them a million times this week and got the run around. I called today to speak to the manager about my reservation party results and she tells me the manager says he is busy and can’t deal with me right now. Now granted I have worked in the restaurant busy before so I know the high demand. BUT! I have been calling all week to speak to this manager and he did not make himself available for a customer. I followed the rules requested online and now I will not be using this restaurant simply because they may be to busy to service us food since he is oh so busy and can’t take a 10 minute call! Also unprofessional to tell a customer you are to busy
Gentlemen, this is a hatless establishment. If you ware hats because of your thinning hair then maybe this place isn’t for you.For such a causal restaurant that isn’t anywhere near fine dining I was told they have a “dress code” and a no hat policy. My wife wanted to eat here so I had to sit uncomfortably while she did. This isn’t a church nor am I in high school and since this place is so casual I would love to hear about why they have that policy.I had two drinks spicy orchard which was probably the worst spicy margarita I’ve ever had. The second was a El encantado which was decent much more balanced.I chose not to eat so I can’t speak on food.
Cool experience! Our server was great! We started with the pan con mantequilla and crispy arepas for starters! Both were awesome! Definitely recommend the crispy arepas! Whomever was working the bar at the time was on point! Drinks were nice and strong! Entrees were on point as well! I got the lomo saltado and it was a hit! The portions are not too small, not too big, perfect for trying a mix of meals! Nice view of the skyline in the background! Definitely would recommend for a quick night out for drinks and food! My only gripe was the size of their tables, not much room for either person!
I have never made a review in my life before but after last night’s experience I had to. I’m of color and I felt nothing but racial tension while I was there. I made reservation for 10:15pm but I was running late and didn’t make it there until 10:40 I made sure I called before I arrived and I was told my reservation would be good as long as I get there before 10:45. When I got there I was told they had a 15min grace period and I couldn’t be seated after I told them what was said to me on the phone the hostess walked away and I was just idly standing there for 5mins until the manager came and told me I can go to the other location because there’s no more seats, I told him I’m already here at this location and what was already told to me on the phone. He found two spots by the bar for my date and I to sit and eat. When we sat down we weren’t attended to for over 10mins until we called the waiter over, and each time they brought our food out it was being given to the spanish guys next to us, to the point the guys said “why they keep coming straight to us”. I honestly would never go back again just biased off my own personal experience. The food was good and so were the drinks but my experience with the staffs and how I felt I was being treated was terrible.
Lovely experience here! The drinks as well as the food were amazing! Went for brunch and definitely loved it. The wait staff was great besides when we were trying to pay to leave, it gets very packed so it is understandable that they have their hands full.Overall I would definitely go back, atmosphere is beautiful as well!
Be Aware ! If the view is what you like I strongly advise you take beautiful pictures of the scenery there free . Now eating here is NOT WORTH IT the food is bland no flavor at all ! You will be charged a gratuity fee Is bogus & they lift your plates the moment you take your last bite . Worst money Ive spend as a New Yorker & a Latina iam ashamed to recommend this to anyone Spanish food is flavorful! It should be called bland NOT BLEND
This place is very nice with a nice view with interior decorations on point with great Spanish music (5/5). The appetizer Guacamole and Tortilla chips were 2/5 as it tasted bland with no type of spice not even a hint. Tostanes ($6) for only 5 pieces with untasty dip: Preferred garlic but they didnt have. The entrees were 4/5 stars. (Churrasco, and Camarones al ajillo). The dessert - Coconut flan tasted amazing 5/5. Sangria (4/5). The service however sucks: asked for lemon for our water twice came 20-25 min later, no small plates for the appetizer, no steak knife for the churrasco, plates were taken away 15-20 min after we were done regardless of staff passing by back and forth. Then we were finally asked if we needed anything else and requested dessert. Our waitress was no where to be found half the time. Overall, it is a nice spot for special occasion or a special date. $$$
They are very racist- the manager was very rude and the girls in the reception area were very nasty and rude- they said i had on gym attire and told me and my husband to leave- i had on a shirt and matching bottom pants set. Im very angry that the treated me this way. I have been to blend plenty of times and never had this problem. That manger need to be fired. I seen them let someone in that was Spanish with the same attire and he let them in without a problem. Im very angry how i was treated and i will never go there again and ill post this on social media.
Food was OK, not the best ,it was recommended to me ,they said we can go as walk in, but no table available. If they wouldve said on the phone is first come ,first serve .but they didnt mention that ,we had to sit in the outdoor dining, wich was OK. Was celebrating my BD with friends ,the best of all was my server Misha! Shout out to her ,she was friendly attentive energetic. The others appeared to be bored out they mind. Misha thanks for your hospitality.. but I would not recommend this place . 😕 sorry ,way too expensive aswell ,small portions too.
After making a reservation for my daughter’s 16th birthday at 3:00pm, I called the restaurant that I would be there about 10-15 late minutes due to traffic, I arrived at 3:16 for them to tell me the kitchen is already closed and they only could do appetizers and drinks. The most unprofessional and inconsiderate place I have every came across. I would give this place a zero star if I could.
As I am sitting, eating my meal. The manager asks me to remove my hat that I had on when I walked in and was sittong for 45 minutes because someone asked a gentleman to remove his hat. Childishness that I am now being singled out in front of other people after sitting here for 45 minutes. Say it at the door, do better.
I was running late for a reservation and I called ahead to see if I could still get a table. The hostess assured me that I would still be able to be seated when I arrived. I drove 40 mins to the location and was told upon arrival that I couldn’t be seated even though I had proof of my phone call with the hostess. It was unprofessional and I was turned away at the door.
Nice and romantic place to have a date, grab a bite with families or friends. Also it has a spectacular view of the city, and the food is inexpensive and quite tasteful. You need to dress nice. Formal or casual attire. NO SPORTY LOOKS. It is always packed so the waiting list is huge, especially when they dont have reservations available (I would say 1-2 hrs average). If you are lucky enough to wait by the bar until they call you thats a plus. I went with my family and had a blast. We had to wait 1 hr and 35m but we were by the bar so it wasnt that bad. ---Ohhh did they add a vegan dish? Please add a few more vegan dishes or appetizers !
Food was awesome vybz was chill street parking is a pain but there is a parking garage within walking distance. There is a 90 minute seating time, however theyre not breathing down your neck about it. Have the Sangria. Have the steak. I had the Eggplant and added grilled shrimp. It was good but my friends steak was better. Tres leches cake omgggggg. In door and outdoor seating is available.
I came here for a birthday brunch celebration and the venue and staff were so kind and courteous and not to mention the food was amazing. They have a great brunch drink thats half sangria and half margarita frozen that was so delicious I finished it before I could take a photo. The churrasco was flavourful and I especially enjoyed the tostones with my meal.
We had our office holiday party here. Its a large space, polished floors (so ladies skip the red bottomed shoes) The food is plentiful and everyone said the drinks were good. The music is great and the staff are friendly. Its got a beautiful view. For groups, note that your party wont be seated until everyone arrives. My only issue is that its very dark. The tea lights make it very pretty, but we were here 445 to 845 pm and the place was dark... even the restrooms, much too dark!
I had an excellent experience at Blend on the Water! Not only was the food delicious but the staff were friendly, the atmosphere was awesome, the vibe was flowing, and the place looks great. This is an awesome spot to enjoy some great food with your friends and your love ones. Everything I ate from here was cooked perfect with lots of flavor and savory. It’s usually busy here, so if you want to come here with someone I’ll advise you to make an appointment. This location haves a dress code, ballet parking, and appointment accessibility. Enjoy, this was an awesome place to eat!
Well!! It’s Okay.. Staff it’s super kind.. Place it’s awesome, view is WoW.. but drinks was OK and food it’s a little bit disappointed!! A plate little disorganized in relation with price.. at same with drinks.. I had high expectations with these place and I will not come back again..My third star it’s for dessert.. Was good..
Great restaurant with great views. They have valet parking. The bar is lovely they have frozen drinks and a great assortment of wines for the table. Our server was excellent. One of my favorite restaurants overall. The food is incredible. Highly recommend the churassco. Recommend a reservation or you will be waiting
Reservations is the way to go here. The view of the Manhattan skyline is beautiful but lets face it we are here for the food. The cocktails are excellent and deserves to be repeated. We had a shrimp appetizer that was great. The main course was a churasco that was delicious. I had a beef stew latin fusion style that was great. Overall this restaurant should definitely be enjoyed more than once.
Thank you to Manager, Hosts , and The waitresss.I was joining a party of 7 for a birthday dinner @8:15 with a 15min grace period and they have policy all guest must be present to be seated well needless to say traffic got us, me and my partner arrived late and i felt so bad because it wasnt my birthday. So after i talk to the host and one of manager i explained, totally blame myself and i dont know if that work but we only waited 10 mins and all of us got call to be seated. Whew so thank you Blend for a prompt seating.Ok food and drinks was good we had shrimp for appetizers and mac and cheese with out chorizo(we dont eat pork) not your best mac but definitely wasnt the worst either. Shrimp was Superb. We ordered 3 more lol. WAITRESS ALSO GAVE US A ROUND OF HENNY SHOTS ON THE HOUSE. Entrees was Excellent. Not one complain. Pixs below. So last but not least they had one reservation for a party of 7 waiting and Manager patiently and politely came and ask us if we was wrapping up the dinner and all said yay np and he said really thanks why dont you all just go to bar and get a drink on THE HOUSE. EXCUSE ME FREEEEEE DRINKKK YAYYY NO EXCLUSIONS FOR A PARTY OF 7 YAYYYY. BEST NIGHT EVER. Will be back in warmer times because that view is amazing and the service i received was the best in a long time.
I have waited to come to Blend for a while now and i must say is was a great experience. Met some old friend for dinner and we had a incredible time. The menu presented is great, it lights up. Which is great since the lighting is dim. For appitizers we had Poke tacos and Piononos. of you like marinated tuna get the Poke if you live sweet plantains get those Piononos. Arroz con mariscos[rice with seafood] and Lime crusted salmon with a cilantro mashed potatoes, Plancha chicken. Oh so amazing. For dessert we could not decide so we indulged in the sampler, well worth it. Coconut flan, lava cake & a pineapple cake....yum yum 😋. Beautiful place, decor is great low lighting. Just enough to see whoyoure with lol.
Blend on the water reminded me a little like Som Cubano the way it was set up. I went during lunch and had the churrasco. I found the churrasco too thin like the usual churrascos I’ve had in other restaurants. The service was mediocre. The location of the restaurant is wonderful. After brunch, ljnch, or dinner you can take a stroll through the pier behind the restaurant. They have benches there to sit and admire the beautiful view. Valet is also available for the restaurants customers.
Beautiful spot by the water. Perfect for date night or any event. We started off dinner with the guacamole. Fresh fried chips is the way to go, it makes all the difference. The restaurant also gave us complimentary crispy arepas. I will definitely be ordering those my next visit. Tender shredded short rib on top of a fried little arepa. For my main, I had to get the skirt steak and my wife ordered the salmon. My skirt steak was super tender perfect with the chumichurri. I do with they offered a little more rice with the meal. The tostones were a nice addition, soaking up all the meat juices and chimichurri. My wife enjoyed her salmon, she said the pineapple sauce was a nice touch. All in all, delicious food and friendly staff. We will be returning soon.
Went in on a busy night. We waited a little(25mn) We were then taken to our outdoor seating (which we enjoyed)Once seated and our order was taken,my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere nd the salsa music playing. Our server was very attentive and polite. We then took in the view out on pier afterwards (beautiful view of the city)What a night😍❤🍽 Oh,yes, the food was delish
Came to this restaurant with high hopes but low expectations. I mean, by the East River with amazing views of Manhattan - how could it possibly live up? In short, this place scored the trifecta - great food, great ambiance, and (probably the most elusive) at a reasonable cost. The interior is your requisite dimly lit room that opens to a panoramic view of the city. If you like Edison lights, this place has unique fancy ones all over the ceiling. There is a bar along the interior long wall. It has a row of TVs placed high with alternating sports shows. Don’t let your sports loving date face the bar or there will be a high chance of distraction! Another callously to the place is their lighted menus. You open it up and it’s backlit making it super easy to read! Even the bill comes on a back lit treat making it easy to review and pay. Our waitress was nice and took care of all our orders (we’re a pretty easy group). Waters were refilled and plates cleared efficiently. The place is clearly a spot for birthdays since every 5 minutes there seemed to be a parade of wait staff bringing out a sparkler topped dessert, singing happy birthday to some group. Very instagram worthy. The food was very good. First, the good test of a Latin-inspired place is its guacamole. Although not prepared table side (a bit overrated if you ask me), it tasted very fresh and had a slightly more rounded flavor. The accompanying chips were deliciously crispy and a little thicker than usual - my wife isn’t a chip eater but she raved afterwards about this. The camarones a la diabla were addicting and you literally cannot stop at one. Basically deep fried battered shrimp in a spicy mayoish sauce. But omg, it must have been fried in bacon oil or something because it had a slight bacony flavor that kept making you want just a little more. Lastly, I had the churrasco- aka skirt steak. Awesome. Very generous portion. Tender and juicy. The maduros were good but the pickled red onions (?) really added a nice brightness to the meat. Excellent excellent meal at a beautiful place. Will definitely be going back!
Made reservations on line and they didnt have it in there system. Showed proof of the reservation and still was not seated until there was available seating. Couple arrived after us and were seated. After that all was good food was delicious service was good view of the Manhattan skyline was to die for.
We had a reservation for 5 people at 830pm on a Saturday and while myself and my partner arrived on time, the other 3 arrived late. When we pulled up, there were qite a dew people waiting for tables. They have valet parking for $7 and there is ample personnel to handle the colume of cars pulling up. We got a quick drink at the bar while we waited. The restaurant has to have all parties available before they seat you, which is fair. We lost the reservation because they showed up almost 30 mins late. We all went to the bar when rhey arrived and we were feeling bad since we lost our reservation. After ordering drinks, one of the nicest waitresses, Sayuri said she had a table for us. You dont know how excited everyone was to have a table ready so fast. The other waiter, Javier came by and it was all uphill from there. The had a live band playing salsa when you enter the restaurant. These guys kick butt playing superbly. While ordering our apperizer, Sayuri and Javier took really good care of us. We ordered the chorizo mac and cheese, the crispy arepas, the chicharon de pollo (chicken on the stick) and the lobster and crab stick. The chorizo mac and cheese has a little bite to it but the flavor comes out. The chicken on the stick was really good and the drinks were on point. My friends ordered a variety of different drinks that are so colorful. When i 1st walled in, the place is somber in lights and the menus are lighted to see them better. The bartender did not have the Frenet Blanco i needed for my queezy stomach, he gave me a sambuca and it actually worked. We were celebrating 2 birthdays including my own. They brought out a flaming thing for dessert and sang for both of us. With great music, the ambiance and the food, there is no way you cannot have a great time here. Sayuri and Javier were constantly checking in on us and were very delightful to have waiting on us. The really made our day special. When you come here, make a reservation. There is a view of Manhattan so it is quite romantic here. In fact someone proposed to his futire wife this night and the restaurant exploded with joy. We all had a great time!
Beautiful views and great food. Lovely waitress, very attentive front of the house staff. Street parking is a problem although valet is available. If not there is garage parking around the corner. The walk along the water is a nice end to a rich meal. Certainly worth visiting when the weather is nice and warm.
The food was amazing. I was only able to get takeout because someone in my party wasnt vaccinated . They have cilantro mashed potatoes and theyre everything. The fried rice was really good and I had chicken but I cant remember the name of the dish but it was good. The ambiance was beautiful. I will definitely go again
The food was great. They had really nice portion sizes and the staff was very friendly. We were celebrating our 37th anniversary and they made us feel great. They have a live band that was wonderful.I definitely would recommend this restaurant. The view was magnificent!!!
The place has a beautiful view. The atmosphere is romantic. The staff is kind. I ordered the vegan pollo a la plancha which I was quite happy the menu included a vegan option. Sadly I wish the portions were slightly bigger because after the meal and having some chips and guacamole for an appetizer I was still left hungry.
I absolutely love this place!! My favorite restaurant! The food! Location! Service! Impeccable! And Joey, the manager is the best! So accommodating and pays attention to detail. I just moved in the neighborhood and can’t to dine in and take-out literally every week! Thanks, Joey and staff!
Great restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Make sure you have a reservation because it can get packed. Nice ambiance and they even have live music at times. Can get a little dark in the full dining room but the small enclave in the back for bigger parties is nice. Great for birthdays and dates.
I highly recommend having dinner at Blend on the water. Is a very good looking restaurant with a really nice view of midtown Manhattan. The food taste good and the customer service is nice. I am not going to lie, the place is always crowded during the weekends. For that reason, I would recommend making reservations or sitting at the bar if you dont want to wait for a table to be available.
Food are good. Service quality start decreasing.1. For take out, first servers say no Apple Pay allowed. But when I say I can give some extra tips, they allowed Apple Pay.2. For dine in, reservation for 6 people 20% tip will be secretly add to the bill. And you can only order food all together In one set instead ordering appetizers first. I understand this will decrease servers work but you already charged 20% gratitudes.I wish the service quality can be as good as one year ago since we really like this restaurant and wish it becoming better
The location was great, but the view was over hyped. The windows were so dirty you couldent see a thing. I ordered the strip steak medium and it came well over cooked and dry as hell. The drinks were watered down and just not it. Overall the vibe was there but the food and drinks were not it. I would not recomend this spot, many better places to go in LIC. 👎 from me.
Blend blend blend. Ive seen so many people post pictures at this place.i....was finally looking forward to going there. OkIll start with eating the food itself and the server we had for our table service were good.We had a 30min wait for a table so naturally its a Friday night so we wanted to have drinks at the bar. Ugh big mistake. The bartender .......was horrible. And the drinks were bad. So the piña colada from the machine was completely juice. She grabbed all the garish for all drinks made she did not use gloves. There was an open bucket with some kind of drink under the counter and she dipped a cup and scooped out some of the beverage. Wiped the cup with a rag and served it to a patron 2 seats away.Funny thing she saw my jaw drop and was not fazed.Maybe this place fell off. They better get it together LIC is expensive.
I went there to celebrate a friends birthday. Even though we got there late and miss our seating time and had to wait for a next table, we had a marvelous time. The view was magnificent. Our drinks and our food were great. The staff were exceptional and very attentive to our needs. That was my third visit to the restaurant and I cant wait for the next one.
Lets start off with the ambiance, it was a very grown and sexy décor.. The staff was very nice our waitress Amy was also very kind and helpful. Our food was delicious and there is not a long kitchen wait...Lets not forget the Frozen Sangritia.. I wish I couldve taken it to go..😋 We are planning to go for brunch next visit.
This place is great! Amazing location by the water with a upscale ambiance. Everyone was really good, the guy who takes your temp was friendly, the girl who sat our party was excellent and so was our waitress I think she said Sarah. The food was Soo good omg so good. My only slight issue was that the rice and beans sides were so small like for a small child. Now Im not expecting a pot of rice or anything but it should be double the current size and that would seem more appropriate. The drinks were so good, passion fruit mojito, henney colada yummy. Def want to come back and try other dishes everything was so delicious.
Joey, Manager is the best and we loved our food, the 7 of us had Salmon, Churassco, Chicken and we were amazed. Thank you for having us on my 42nd birthday through the rain and it was the best birthday. I moved from Florida and I felt like I was back home. Thank you!
I enjoyed my food despite the reviews. The view was good but it could have been better. I felt like I overpaid for my steak but it was still good. The service horrible like we didnt even know our waitress name until the bill came but overall it was good. Best time to go is on a Sunday.
Came here for a birthday celebration, the food and drinks were really good. I got the salmon and paired it with a red wine. The environment is really dark at night, a little too dark; Id recommend coming here during the day/eod. It was disappointing to find out they charged $3 per person to cut the cake there, but other than that its a great place.
I attended this restaurant as i was on my way to the airport and left my things up front. As I went to pay for my meal I noticed that my wallet was stolen from my bag. The owner/manager showed me every angle except after I first entered. The food wasnt so great and over priced. Stay Away from this place!!
Only giving this 2 stars because the food, drinks and atmosphere were good, service was terrible. Our server took our order and then never came back. Even though she made eye contact with my husband and I several times within the night, she just ignored us and other tables around us. One couple even got up and left. Two hours later she shows up with the check hovering over us asking for a 20% tip. We just wanted to order more drinks and dessert. Good thing we ordered our entrees right away because we were starving. Also ordered dessert with 3 different people, including the managers and it never came. Wont be going back. Manager was nice enough to speak with us but didnt really have anything to say except sorry. She tried to offer us a small discount but of course our server already swiped the card. Disappointed...
First of all I want to say I came here twice. First time was in 2019 and we were seated outside because we didn’t have reservations. The second time was October 1st 2021. Boy let me tell you I was very disappointed in the quality of this place. Me and my husband had reservations for 7:30pm and we arrived earlier so they made us wait until our time and sat us outside! This was problem one since we wanted to sit inside. Second we ordered the churrasco and We ordered medium well stake and We got well done. It was very tough and not that good. Honestly for the price they charge I expected more. I was very disappointed in this place and will not be coming back!!
I filled out the online reservation form due to having a large party waited three business days for a response and no response back. After I called the restaurant multiple time to see if they can accommodate my reservation every time I called I was pushed away and treated in a very rube manner. I work in customer service myself and this was just an awful experience. I wish I could give zero stars
Should have, and could have, been a five star review. We arrived early for our reservation on a Wednesday night. Sat at the bar and ordered drinks. While waiting, they were able to seat us early and the staff said the drinks would follow us, no worries. They did...25 minutes later right as our small plates were delivered to the table. Thankfully, our water was refilled promptly beforehand. When you go here, order the chorizo mac and cheese...it was hot and delicious!! The street corn was another delicious dish.Do NOT order the shrimp with aioli sauce...they were obviously microwaved little shrimp as they were like rubber. The crispy arepas... the meat was cold but the guacamole that came with it was fantastic. If the whole thing had been warm, it would have been really good. For dessert we had the warm chocolate cake. It was wonderful! So chocolatey, served with ice cream perfection. Our other shared dessert was the apple empanadas which were good...but next time it is the chocolate cake all the way.The food always came out in a short amount of time once ordered. Water was refilled quickly. Drinks from the bar took at least 20 minutes...with the exception of my second which I said if it took over 10 minutes to not bring it. The drinks, once we got them, were fantastic.I was glad I was there with someone I could talk to as we had a lot of down time between drink and food. We would both go again.
Great location with a beautiful view of the river. The food was good, I liked it better than Blene LIC. The bartenders are phenomenal and attentive! There was live music and as the night went on a more intimate atmosphere (dim lighting and candle lights). Our server was meh but the rest of the team (runners, busses, etc were great!) I would recommend. Great for the 25+ crowd.

2022-05-16My guests and I were seated in the outdoor area in the back, which was just the experience we wanted and we had an amazing time. Our waitress Melissa was extremely friendly and helpful. She made us feel very welcome and it added to the wonderful experience. The food and drinks as always were amazing. It was one of my guest’s first time at Blend and it definitely won’t be her last…she plans to be a repeat customer. - Nena

2021-11-23Beautiful location! Nice for anniversary dinners, birthdays or even just a night out with friends. Fast service and food comes out hot. Drinks and food are both good. Only two things for me is parking is hard to find in the area and for someone who don’t eat certain things like myself (tomatoes for one), it took a while to find something suitable for myself. Overall good experience and would definitely recommend.

2022-04-18The restaurant is located right in front of the river, next to the famous Pepsi cola sign. The panoramic window inside the restaurant is facing the beautiful skyline of Midtown Manhattan, the best view you can ask for! As soon as you get inside you will dive into an authentic Latin atmosphere, when we visited there was even a live band playing Latin songs. Above all, the food was on spot! Appetizers were delicious and so were the entrees. The staff was kind and service was super friendly. This place deserves each and every star of this 5 stars review. Highly recommended!!!

2021-10-12My first visit was during dinner hours, I got chorizo Mac & Cheese and a side of fries (pictured below) - was super flavorful and would 100% definitely order again. Second time I went, (during lunch hours) - we arrived at our booked time to then find out the kitchen closes 15 minutes later (3:45) on days they’re open so we were rushed to order which was a bit annoying. The food is good but I’d recommend some type of disclosure so people don’t book a time close to the kitchen closing or even better, block off reservations closer to time of kitchen closing so they’re unable to be booked.

2022-01-14I had a really wonderful experience at this location. Kelly was extremely helpful and directed me to the right person to have a birthday party for my twins 17th birthday which was Gabriela. Gabriela was so kind and extremely thorough over the phone. She helped me with my large party and assured me we would be taken care of. Then Mariela who was our waitress gave such a wonderful experience. She made our time there memorable and gave my twins an awesome birthday! These ladies did an amazing job!

2022-06-28I wish I could zero stars after the way my friend and I were treated. The blatant micro-aggressions towards people of color trying to patronize these establishments has to stop. My homegirl and I made reservations for 5pm. Got there to a practically empty restaurant thinking “yayyyy we are going to get seated at a nice table with a view, or at the very least a table in the main room” to enjoy the ambiance. Instead we were paraded to the back like “the help”…the hostess literally walks us past EVERY SINGLE empty table in the main dining area and brings us to this little back room that is enclosed and you can barely even see the main area if seated inside. It’s like we were being hidden away out of view of the other patrons. It’s was the most Awkward, humiliating experience I’ve ever had being seated in a restaurant. I guess we didn’t fit the “look” of what they wanted for their restaurant because my friend and I are both dark complexion women of color. I was completely disgusted. I immediately wanted to leave but something told me to stay just to prove a point because my dollars are just as green as the next person’s. I wanted to see how we would be treated for the rest of the evening and honestly felt like my friend and I were “the two angry black girls” just for questioning our initial seating and requesting more reasonable accommodations. I wish they would take accountability and make changes because this was literally a shameful experience and there is no excuse that can rectify what happened to us. I’ve shared my experience and I will never patronize them or recommend them to anyone. Do better. Empty tables in pictures for proof. Wish I had a picture of the back room they tried to stick us in.
