Blinds To Go in other cities:
This is the go to place for Blinds . Excellent customer service. Carmen was beyond helpful knowledge and great to work with. Best pricing as they price match if their own item is not on sale.Update: I had small issue with one of the blinds. I brought it in for repair and their turnaround time with sending out to factory was lightening fast. The blind was back up in its bracket brand new in less than 2 days. They are amazing.
Salesperson was knowledgeable, helpful and patient, but that was where the positive experience ended. The first visit from the installer to measure, he didn’t call me until 30 minutes after the 6-hr window of time provided to say he was running late and that he “might” be able to make it to my house in 2hrs! Are you kidding? We’ve already been waiting 6hrs!The second visit from the installer, he was late again and once again didn’t call until 15 minutes after the window of time provided. As he installed the mounts I noticed he was just eyeballing everything (no level or tape measure) so no surprise I had to point out that one of the shades was not even close to being level. I’m paying for professional installation...Then he noticed that one of the shades came with a different bracket and made it a point to say “I don’t know why this shade came with a different bracket?” Turns out that bracket was different because this was the only shade out of the four we ordered that came with a valance? Wait, these are all the same shades, all of them were ordered with a valance! You would think a professional installer would know which brackets are necessary for a valance and how to properly measure and level a shade???Now I’m trying to understand how a salesperson would order a valance for one shade, but not the others when they were all the same? We spent a lot of time talking with her about the valances which makes it all the more confusing. Now I’m looking at 3 out 4 shades that still need a valance, so this guy will have to come back yet again to install new brackets for these shades in order to attach the valance. I don’t even want to think about how many unnecessary holes have been made in my wall and window frame due to all these issues...Hopefully the next visit goes smoothly but considering how things have gone up to this point I’m pretty skeptical...
After 3 visits and what I consider top dollar for blinds. I can say I’m happy with the end result. It was a long journey of back and forth and big excuses from the installer. We got attitude from installer and representative when we explained what was happening to the blinds. We were totally nice and just wanted the blinds to function how they were intended. I can’t recommend them over any big box store.
Store staff were very nice. Installers were very good, pleasant and efficient. The system for setting up installation appointment was very good with contacts, confirmations and reminders. However when my installer became sick, my installation was cancelled since there was no one to replace him. On the day of the rescheduled install, my new installers found out that my blinds had been delivered to the wrong store causing them an extra hour of driving to pick them up. This caused me an approximate total delay of 4 hours.... And inconvenience and personal schedule change. Be as sure as you can that they get this delivery detail in your order correct to avoid delay.
Have used blinds to go in the past. This time not very happy. Factory cut the blinds too short for 2 out of 3 blinds in 1 room and the mechanism for another room was broken. So now we have to be inconvenienced 3 times additionally and take time off of qork. Very poor.
Sales associate was knowledgeable, helped with my selection. However, they failed to call and update me on my order. I had to go to the store to find out what is going on. I placed the order 4/7/21 and my blinds for ONE window was installed 5/27/21. They explained that my ship was back ordered. Why not call your customers and inform them. I had to be on them to get answers. And remember to sign your name in their before you can speak to the sales associate with the attitude at the front desk because per her “there’s only two of us working and we’re really busy.” Not even asking what’s the nature of the customer’s visit. Never again.
I have been waiting on my order for 9 weeks & still waiting patiently. When I spoke to a supervisor here reply was its not like a heart surgery we are trying our best. I thought that was very rude then she stated do you want us to refund your money ? my reply was no i just want my blinds i am very unhappy how I was treated.
Hi,This is my second order with blinds to go and I have had a wonderful experience on both occasions. Lesley was professional and friendly a great representative for you products. I was especially grateful because I arrived 2 minutes before closing and Lesley and her colleague helped me pickup and check out my items without any problems. I am grateful. Also I installed the treatment and they look beautiful. Thank the entire team especially your production team.Bravo!!
Blinds to go in Nanuet gave us a wonderful experience from start to finish. We had a big job of picking out blinds for our whole house and Lesley showed professionalism and patience through the whole process. She really took her time with us and explained every detail, as we are new home buyers.Roberto (installer) flawlessly put the blinds in start to finish with no issues. Also, taking his time making sure all were installed perfectly. We highly recommend Blinds to go Nanuet and their staff.
I had a great experience at the Nanuet Blinds to Go. Leslie was the salesperson I dealt with, and she was outstanding making sure that every part of my experience came together without a hitch. It was also wonderful that no matter who you spoke to on the phone from that store was also helpful and more-than-willing to look up your order to answer a question! I would definitely pay to have the blinds installed, as the installation comes with a two part appointment, one to do the measurements and then a return visit to do the install. (He also picked up the blinds at the store and brought them to my house.)
I have no problem with the sales people at Blinds to go, they were very helpful and professional. However I have a huge problem with the quality of the product I purchased. The installation screws used to fasten the blinds to the window casing were about the lowest quality possible. I could not use a Phillips head or a flat screwdriver. The “indentation shape” in the screw tops was square with a small spiked shape at each of the corners. Huh??? Never seen that before. So I had to go to Home Depot to buy a screwdriver with such a bizarre shape. Then when it was time to screw the blinds in, the material of the screw is so poor that they stripped immediately. I couldn’t get them in properly nor could I get them out! Getting the bad screes out was a project in itself. Once accomplished, It was time for another trip to Home Depot to buy regular Phillips head screws at the approximate same length and diameter as the poor quality screws provided by Blinds to go. The documentation and installation instructions did not specify exactly what type of screws these were— no names or sizes. so I had to eyeball it and guess. Unfortunately the screws I bought at Home Depot were wood screws which are wider towards the top. Didn’t work. Yet another trip to Home Depot to find screws that were a consistent width near the top, and provide a secure fit with the hardware when screwed in. What should have take 20 minutes tops ate up an entire afternoon. Theres more. The wand mechanism that opens and closes the blinds - are tiny delicate parts all made of plastic. If there was just one metal hook where wand attaches to the rotating gear it would provide some measure of durability - but no. The planned obsolesence of this tiny breakable part is built in. How much would a few decent quality standard (Philips head/flat) screws and a tiny metal hook cost BTG, a few pennies? Clearly the bean counters rule in this company. Poor quality components - why??? Time to made another trip to Home Depot to return that un-standard screwdriver since I never expect to use it again. Bottom line: save yourself the aggravation and buy your blinds somewhere else.
My blinds are 15 years old and broke off the valance. I called blinds to go thinking there is no way they would either have the parts or repair it. I kind of resigned myself to the fact that I would have to spend money to replace all the blinds in that one particular room. To my surprise and elation, blinds to go repaired it! Carmen in Nanuet asked for a picture of of the broken piece, got in touch with the factory, and got back to me within a few hours that it can be repaired. Just a couple of days later the blinds are back and hanging in my room. I am so happy, and highly recommend blinds to go to anyone. This was 15 years after purchase - so impressed!
The only downside is it’s difficult to get anyone to respond to the phones .. round and round .. I’m very happy with the installation although I had to call and have a service man come back and repair the valance . I explained I am not home from work till after 3 and my text was saying they would be here between 12 and 4 . Another phone call , round and round .. i’m now scheduled between 2 and 8. Ugh !!Again, not home till after 3..!
Rohan was great throughout . However very frustrated at the fact that once our blinds did arrive one was broken and we were provided with what was described as a “temporary blind” that was nothing more than paper taped to our window frame to avoid a completely open window. This is our nursery and we are now without the ability to finish off. Please let me know when we can expect our blinds to be complete.Thank youAdam
Rohan in blinds to go in nanuet was very knowledgeable and very kind to us...he even made us save money too.Now about the merchandise I bought 11 bamboo shades..they look beautiful on my windows..makes my sunroom look beautiful..had wooden blinds in it for years..needed a change..glad i went to blinds to go in nanuet and met Rohan who was very helpfulJohn the installer was very good measuring and installing my shades..Yes it took a few months to get them..BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!
Treated us like Second class citizens. We were giving the rep our order when an individual walked in that he knew asked if we would mind if he spent a second or two with that person big mistake we agreed. I think this person was a contractor the rep kept running between us and I think thats when our order got screwed up . He was paying more attention to the other person then to us. He kept telling us that the five shades that were ordered incorrectly was our fault . Offered no solution other than giving us a telephone number for customer service in Canada he refused to put the manager on the phone or have the manager call us back. Rebecca took our complaint at customer service claimed that she would get back to us before 9 PM after waiting six hours she never got back to us. I have seen this same rep do this very same thing with the same customer in the past .
Awful experience. Also realize that you just entered the drape business.Blinds dont puddle but are like high tide looking like a unmade bed.The installer Jacob was a class act and made comment after order was sent to production that he felt the measurement s were off. Please fabricate the right size and have Jacob install the proper sizing and take the old sloppy drapes back upon proper production for a swap out.
Nice choice of blinds but poor customer service after you buy it. Too much time wasted waiting for it to come and when we had a problem with the customer service was poor and we had to keep calling or else nobody would have informed us that our repaired product was ready
When I first walk into this place I was a little confused and a lady walk up to me introduced her self very politely ask if theres anything she can help me with told her what I need from there it was a blessing for me very nice and clean place to shop I recommend everyone to shop there
Installation by Junior Pierre was very smooth. Napoleon is always great too I have used Blinds-to-Go for years & its my go-to place. I got dark brown shades this time & I should have gotten the room-darkening option though because bright sunlight shining through them makes the blind look like a lighter color. I should have thought of that but I have always gotten light colors for rooms without direct sun so I never noticed. Not a big deal though & we love them. They make my kitchen look more stream-lined & they open and close easily. So glad I got them.

2022-09-02Very happy with my blinds from Blinds to Go. I ordered custom blinds on a Saturday afternoon and they were ready for pickup on Monday. Napolean was extremely helpful and the blinds work great for my office space at home (one light filtering and one blackout to prevent backlighting on Zoom calls). Full recommendation. Thanks! ~Jim

2022-08-13Napolean was excellent and was very helpful, as well as, Joann or is it Jennifer. Nevertheless they were great. The greatest drawback is the items I wanted had an 8 week wait time. This is really unacceptable.

2022-09-05Everything was great! The only issue I had is there was a 64 inch blind that required 3 brackets but I was only given 4 screws.

2022-03-08Blinds to Go MADE IT SO EASY. Michelle Bower was our Home Design Consultant and visited us for an appointment. She was friendly, courteous, had great listening skills and detail oriented. She discussed trends, features and benefits and gave invaluable insight. She made our shop at home experience one that far exceeded our expectations. She made the sale and we are excited for our order to come in 8 weeks and for BTG to do the installation. I procrastinated this project for 5 years because I thought it would be too painful with the measurements and installation. Michelle made it so easy and she gets a TRIPLE AAA , 5 STAR recommendation. Blinds to Go is a good brand because of GREAT people like Michelle Bower. She is a Valuable asset to your team.

2022-04-26Blinds came in around promised date. Installer Shelton was extremely professional, efficient, and cleaned up after himself. He was even on time or early for both visits. Cant ask for anything more.

2022-01-16While placing an order in store we were promised life time warranty with technician coming to home to resolve any problems with blinds. If problem couldn’t be fixed on site tech would take the product to the shop and fix it. We ordered 12 ft vertical blinds with self installation for bay window, we picked up the order at the store but 1 blind was missing and 2 were different length then the rest. When I called their store asking to mail me 3 blinds, I was told that I have to come to the store to pick them up and in the future if anything goes wrong with the product , even little pieces, I would have to take off the entire blinds and bring them to the shop, no technician would come to my place. And if the issue with blinds is too small they could teach me how to fix it. Very disappointed at service, promises and life time guarantee. Bluff and lies are everywhere. Will not recommend
